We have been very impressed, the camera has multiple settings so you can control the sensitivity of the alarm function with either movement or sound to select for humans only. The camera at 5mp takes amazing photos and videos. I would definitely recommend this item.
I originally bought one of these cameras for my Narrowboat. It was a bit of gamble , but it as it turned out the camera was superb. The app allows you to share with other family members,so they can not only see you,but communicate with you through the camera also. I had an issue with one of the cameras that became 40 after a particularly heavy bout of rain. I contacted customer services who immediately replaced it. I’ve since gone on to buy two more which I use on magnets to navigate the locks using my iPad.
Would highly recommend. ( the battery lasts ages.)
I keep waiting for this item to go wrong but it’s great.
I thought for the money it would break or be rubbish but it just keeps impressing.
Easy to set up and install. Will require a mini S.D card I have used a 128gb.
No need for the cloud function as it records to the sd card and stores your data to the app for 24 hours.
You can record images to your phone too within that time and it will also be on the sad card for as long as memory requires.
Tracking feature is great. When alerted it follows the subject as far as it can.
Other features include triggering an alarm if you see something and want to give a warning to the intruder.
Auto detection siren/ light or both when triggered. All adjustable within the app.
Look at the item several times on Amazon and you will get offered a discount even better.
Product arrived and didn’t work correctly. Customer service has been excellent. Replacement sent promptly and now installed and working as promised. Easy to get the app up and running and will be purchasing more to cover the rest of the house.
ANRAN Customer Service sent out new Camera that works fine so far:
Bought 2 of these, one intermittently records to SD card, and after a month the night vision stopped working, reset does not rectify problems, and when powered up the camera should spin around and set itself pointing forwards but doesn’t, first camera started showing faults within a week but ground to a halt after a month. No response from company support. Second camera has yet to be installed. Hopefully the faulty one was a one off.
This is a great little camera will be buying a second very soon for sure. Great phone software for this camera still got to add it to alexa yet but looks high quality so far.
I bought this for my home to try because my septekon cctv camera is not that good. I was so happy with it I bought a second one. I never lose signal, It does exactly what it says with no issues. Easy to install. Picture is great. Highly recommended.
It all seems to work very well, It is a well made product, and seems to be very robust. I have not had it long enough to make any useful comments except to say that it was very well packaged, arrived very quickly, and has clear instructions on installation. It also has a security sticker that you can place nearby the installation, that warns people that they are being filmed.
easy to setup, good image quality.pan and scan is ok if a little bit skippy
Motion detection is appalling.lowest setting and rain sets off an event,so does mist/fog.Bugs love the infra red bulbs.Good quality night vision though
Wifi is a bit poor here and there is a wifi router about 12 feet away
This CCTV camera gives superb image quality with good audio and was easy to set up on my cellphone…so what are the caveats ?
Well firstly it’s advertised as a PTZ camera and it does in fact pan & tilt, however it does not zoom. The Anran app you place on your phone doesn’t allow you to zoom closer and as the lens is fixed anyway it’s a little misleading. You can of course enlarge the image you are viewing on your phone by moving your fingers on the screen but it cannot be done via the app. The next thing to be aware of is this is not an ip camera, so it can’t connect to the internet and allow you to view what’s going on when you are away from home. Being fair it doesn’t claim to be either but it’s something a would be purchaser should take into account if they want that option. Unfortunately I had to return mine and will purchase a CCTV that does it all, of course it won’t be at this price which for what it does is very good value.
Had a bit of a problem with this. The company is sending me a replacement and were very helpful. Very good customer service and the camera itself is very good; just unfortunate that mine developed a fault.
I purchased this to replace another camera which had died. Easy connection and control and the ability to rotate the camera remotely is a bonus . Great bit of kit . Recommended .
A great camera for the price, however after a month of use the IR lens filter has stuck so everything is shown in a pink hue which was quite annoying. Contacted product support who have very quickly resolved problem. All sorted, great customer service
Have had this for a couple of weeks now and have installed at the front of the house to keep an eye on the drive. PTZ feature is great as it give a better field of vision depending on what I want to keep an eye put on!
The unit itself is well made and it sits happily screwed to the wall of the house, using the supplied fixings and mounting template. Seems well sealed and doesn’t look out of place on the wall.
Reception is good, alerts are sent pretty consistently using the app. Good product and well priced.
So far so good, I found it very easy to install and pair to my app and the quality is very good. I liked the motion sensor feature which sent notifications to your phone when it detected anything but make sure you set up zones on the app so that washing and other things that move in the wind won’t trigger it too often or you will get too many notifications. I had an issue conencting it to my 5ghz netowrk so ended up using the 2.4 ghz wave band instead.
The night time picture was very good as it has proper infrared lights on and for a cheap camera it wasn’t grainy. The day time picture was good as well and fine for home use. The sound was a but distorted when using the 2 way calling and it picks up a lot of win and traffic noise.
There is an option to record on to a memory card which I will do when the cloud trial is up, you get 7 days included with it but you don’t need it as you can get it to record to it locally and it will just over write it when its full like a dash cam. The power cable is short so I can to adapt it to make it longer with an extension. I like the remote feature and the abilty to move the camera to get the perfect angle.
This is great value for a fully featured camera. The app is a bit flaky as its compatible with a lot of different brands but it does the job ok and looks like it gets updated regularly.
Well I wasn’t expecting how good this camera is… an easy to install, non subscription (but subscription is available as option), great featured, PTZ camera – at only 54.99 at the time of review.
Let’s get the only negative I found while testing… the power cable is only 2m long. I know it’s always dependant where the camera is placed in relation to a mains socket for the transformer to plug in to, but being this camera is normally going to be installed somewhere high, at least 10ft up out of physical reach or most people, then a 2m power lead is just too short for where I would like to place it. Looks like I will need to cut, splice and extend the cable.
Now for the good stuff:
It’s so easy to setup and get working – it ONLY works on 2.4Ghz wireless… which is good, 2.4Ghz although provides lower speeds to that of 5Ghz, it provides longer distances and better reliability than 5Ghz wireless.
Once setup via the App, you have full control of the camera and the PTZ … either via touch gestures on the camera feed view, or by up/down/left/right arrows in the App.
Motion detection works well as well as alarm notification.
2 way audio is also a nice feature that works well.
You can insert an micro SD card for locally storage or you can also optionally subscribe to cloud storage.
As for the optics, there is a little bit of barrel distortion around the edges of the view, but it doesn’t affect the image that much.
Overall an good relatively inexpensive, great featured wireless security camera that is a doddle to set up (you MUST have 2.4Ghz available to use and both phone and camera MUST be on the same 2.4Ghz wireless network)
disclaimer, I received this for free via the vine programme, although regardless of that, I’ll still give a non-obligated honest opinion.
I’ve tried out a couple of other security cameras recently, both of which were cheaper than this, but both of which weren’t quite as good, so far this has been the best of the bunch.
Other reviewers have mentioned that the manual is somewhat sparse, personally I thought it was fine, as basically you open the manual, point your phone at the QR code, download the app, then follow the instruction in the app to set this all up, which takes about 5 mins at the most, so not exactly rocket science. Yes if there was a little more detail about best placement for your camera etc, then OK maybe, but I’m sure a quick search on YouTube and you will have some so called influencer more than happy to tell you 😉
As to the device itself, it’s quite smart looking, standard hard white matt plastic affair. The power supply cable has a connection along its length, so it can be disconnected and threaded through a cavity wall etc (note to manufacturer, if you made the cable from the camera about 15-20cm longer, it would make threading it through a cavity wall a lot easier, anyway a minor grumble).
The “Cloud Edge” app works really well, allowing you to set on / off schedules, switch between resolutions (why you’d want to drop below FHD I don’t know), control the PTZ pan tilt zoom of the camera, receive notifications, switch on and off night mode etc the usual stuff (read reviews on the app stores for more details).
Image quality:
hmmm now this is where I always get annoyed with these things, (FYI video codecs / compression is my day job), I never understand why they compress the video images so much! As you’ll see from the photo, that’s me in bright daylight beside a window, and I’m hardly moving… and look at it, it’s mush. If the subject doesn’t move for around 1-1.5 secs then the image improves momentarily, but move again and it’s mush… the background image is fine, so the camera sensor is capable of making a decent image… If only you could set the codec data rate to something higher, or set the frame rate to one frame per second rather than spreading the current data rate over 20-30fps, then you could get something that you could actually use to ID someone, not just the static items in the background ie your drive way or garden!
Conclusion:
You get what you pay for… If you’re looking for an easy to set up camera, with a good level of functionality and control, to keep an eye on things, or have near your front door for deliveries etc then yeah this is pretty good, and I think you’ll be happy. But if you want a camera for proper security and monitoring, then you probably need to spend quite a bit more. hope that helps
I bought this camera system to replace an older system that was not altogether reliable and its been up and running for 2 weeks now. I chose this system for the 360 capability, but also for the fact that the camera sits flush to the wall with all cables within the wall. The join with the power lead was inside the house if I needed it to be (I have it tucked just inside the wall). I also liked that this system is totally remote, where as my previous one meant resetting the camera using a button on the camera itself). Setting up the system was easy…I had it running inside the house first, but in the right places to test the wifi strength. The picture quality is fab, day or night. I have SD cards in to do 24hr recording. I have mine set to just the light coming on, not the noise, but this is great as this lights the way in the garden when I go out too! My only complaint would be the instructions in the booklet, which are sparse. There were certain things I had to find out how to do by trial and error. All in all though a great camera…so far!

I bought two. They were easy to set up and use. A very good picture. The wide angle lens works well in the small building I have one in. I am happy with my purchase and am considering replacing one fixed camera with another of these!

Fitted this camera to outside of my gran’s house. First impressions are the build quality feels solid and is definitely suitable for outdoors. Has been weather and water proof so far and it has been raining heavily since installation. The set up of the app is straightforward and very responsive. Both the quality of day and night vision are crisp. Sound quality is definitely as good as previous ones I have tried in the past and they have been more expensive also. All of the features I have tried so far work well and the pan and tilt is quick and smooth when operating. It supports SD card storage of minimum 8GB and maximum 128GB. If you decide not to opt for SD card then you can activate cloud storage service which gives you a free 7-day trial. I found this to be an excellent camera for domestic setting and a great piece if kit for the money.
I love this camera, the night vision on infra red is very bright and great quality. Day vision is vey good and the ability to pan and tilt is extremely useful and I can keep an eye on my neighbours property as well. The motion detection works really well and I have adjusted sensitivity to suit. The spot lights are very bright. I live alone so this has given me a great sense of security. I would highly recommend and I will be looking to purchase another for the rea
I’m a beginner when it comes to security camera’s, and I found this really simple and easy to install. The application was simple to find on the Playstore and connection to the wifi was easy enough using the instructions provided in the box. The cable is an ideal length and seems to be really robust. The camera itself is really sturdy and the picture quality is really clear day and night. We had this up and running really quickly and I was particularly impressed by the motion capture feature so I can feel at ease when I’m not actively looking at our camera footage. Really good value for money as security cameras aren’t the cheapest kit on the market! Would recommend.

This is my third CloudEdge enabled camera. I now have a CloudEdge eco-system which includes cameras and a doorbell all on one app.
The camera itself is great. As its hard wired it enables 24/7 recording as opposed to being motion sensored. The floodlights are a bonus and the PTZ function is fantastic. I can not fault the camera or its quality. Highly recommended
I’ve had one of the new Anran indoor/Outdoor pan and tilt Wi-Fi cameras for a week now and these are my findings.
Whilst the total package is not 100% perfect much of this conclusion is directed towards a need to expand the instruction manual rather than a criticism of the actual camera itself. I also had a glitch one morning when the app simply froze but this lasted only a few hours and has not happened since. I believe the developers of this app are looking into this. The camera however continued to record. It matters not whether you buy a basic Mini or a top of the range Porsche, it’s a machine and things do go wrong at times just so long as the manufacturer is proactive and sets out to put things right, Anran appear to do so.
So, to begin. This camera comes very well packaged but not over the top. At first glance you get the impression of a very sturdy and well-built piece of equipment, something that will withstand the rigors of any weather. The instruction booklet supplied is easy to follow with a step-by-step guide that has your camera up and running in a matter of minutes. It is from this point however that I feel greater guidance is necessary, especially for anyone who is installing a CCTV camera for the first time.
With the app loaded on your phone it’s just a matter of working through each element in order to both familiarise oneself with every aspect and to tailor these to your personal requirements. For those less inquisitive, further guidance in the instruction manual would be helpful. Perhaps a page or two with an image of the appropriate symbol and an explanation alongside as to its use might be an easy solution. There are, no doubt, those who may not be familiar with ‘PTZ’ or how to mask off areas not needed and therefore not get to grips with the remote movement of this camera unless they simply press and hope. An assumption that everyone is as clued up as those who manufacture a product is not the best approach. All of that said for anyone struggling then the Anran technical support department is first class.
Well, that’s the negative bit out of the way. The camera itself is a dream to use. Remote pan and tilt are very impressive, how did we manage without it. The camera lens supplies a very impressive picture quality along with sound. I chose to use a 128GB micro-SD card, purchased separately, for recording rather than subscribe to the cloud storage and from my experience with other cameras this size of SD card provides a more than adequate time frame of storage. Once full it simply writes over so no need to keep formatting it. A nice touch with this camera is the strobe light, affective only at night but then why would you want it during the daytime. It is also supposed to have a built-in alarm that sounds when the strobe light is turned on. I didn’t find this with my particular camera, fortunately, as my dog is very much noise adverse, and it would have sent her scurrying for the back door. A nice touch here would be the option to turn this alarm off or on to suit individual needs but leave the strobe light to come on as normal. Over several evenings I have monitored the operation of the strobe light in both low, medium, and high sensitivity settings and whilst in low setting the light rarely came on, I didn’t really note much difference in the time it took to come on between medium and high. My conclusion therefore is that perhaps the strobe light feature would benefit if the sensitivity could somehow be increased in order to cover a distance of, let us say 5 to 8 meters, and be more instant. If and how this might be achieved I’m sure Anran technical people will be able to solve.
So that’s about it. In a nutshell a great CCTV camera at a reasonable price that allows you to monitor your home from a mobile phone no matter where you are. Would I recommend it? Most certainly.

Quick and straight forward to set up, easy to operate.
Installed the camera on my conservatory roof to keep an eye on my back garden.
Followed the instructions to install the camera and downloaded the CloudEdge app on my phone.
In no time at all I was up and running. I can record video and take snap shots which can be saved on an sd card in the camera or uploaded to the cloud. I can thoroughly recommend this camera, wish I’d bought one earlier. Dave Bake

Good Value for money for the features id say.

Easy to set up . However the instructions do not give enough information when there is a problem. Excellent value for money.
Good camera, works as described. Good night vision and easy to use

Picture quality is great, night and day, easy to set up and use.
This camera all in all is fantastic, cracking picture! WiFi strength very good recommend this to anyone

Dave Bake

My brother has a Anran camera setup for his shop and recommended.
So i brought this one, The camera is packaged well and the video quality is good both day and night, the app it uses works very well connects fast and was really easy to setup with verbal and on screen instructions where you simply scan the QR code on your phone, i was setup in like 2 minutes. Good Value for money for the features id say.

The installation and use of the camera is very simple. You can control the camera rotation by the mobile app, and realize many functions. Night vision is clear .It works well.
