The Pace comes in a box which contains everything and isn’t as big, or heavy, as you’d imagine. In there is the paddle, pump, dry bag, repair kit, leash, backpack and most importantly the board. Once you get it all out you do stand there thinking how did all this fit in there ….
The board itself seems to be made out of fairly strong material (not that I’m any kind of expert) and once inflated, feels very sturdy. Out on the water this thing feels stable. When I’m on it there’s no give or anything and I’m a huge f*t g*t. I’m usually on my knees. I’ve done some standing but that part requires much more work ….
Inflating it. The supplied pump works but it is NOT easy. It takes much more effort than you think to get it to the required PSI. Be prepared for a workout. It does need to be the required PSI to work properly. Otherwise you might as well try to paddle a lilo. You’ll soon be doing what I’m doing and looking at electric pumps. I’ve a feeling that all inflatable sups will suffer from this though.
It seems to track ok through the water and paddling it is as easy as other boards I’ve borrowed or hired. I’m determined to get more practice and master this and I think this board will do me for some time. I’ve only had it a couple of weeks but I’m hoping I’ll be proved right. So far I’m impressed.
Once deflated it does pack away neatly into the backpack too. Easy to pack away and store.
If you’re looking for an inflatable sup package, you can’t go wrong with the Aquaplanet Pace in my view.

I wish I had bought one before was always put off as they are costly and wasn’t sure if they were difficult to set up. It’s so easy ! Takes 5 minutes to inflate and get into the water and is very stable. Both adults and kids have loved it ! Recommend

Great board. Inflates in less than 2 minutes. Fast and easy to use. Probably for someone who has experience on paddleboards as you need good balance. Paddle was unable to extend. Contacted seller and Sarah was very prompt and professional and is sending a replacement. Overall 5 stars for delivery “next day”, and for product and after service.

This SUP had been recommended by a friend who has the same one purchased last year. I’d given theirs a try out and decided to purchase my own.
A few minor changes in the one I purchased a year on since my friend had purchased theirs. However I was happy with it. I did have a small issue with the carry backpack but this was resolved after my first contact with the company. So all good there. I would recommend this for beginners like me 🙂

Owned it for 2 summers. Used this a good few times, some journeys right around Hayling Island. Deflated and stowed it after each use. It’s great value… you don’t need to spend big to get on the water and have a great time.

I already have an Aquaplanet SUP but wanted another for my wife so that we can go out together on the water. this one is fantastic and although she weighs less than 80k I could still use it at 100k. its so quick to erect and easy to put back in the bag after use. I would recommend the Aquaplanet electric pump that you connect to the 12v in the car as hand pumping one is hard work but two!!

Only used a couple of times so far but it’s a success. Relatively easy to inflate to the correct pressure. Much fun on the sea has already been had. Also – a big bonus, arrived very quickly when I was told it would!

We had 2 of these shipped out to Portugal -after a recommendation from our son who has the board-arrived 4 days later-excellent!
Very good value as leash, pump, dry bag etc all included
Easy both to inflate and especially deflate-we’re both beginners and having a lot of fun with these already!

I ordered this item and it arrived within a few days.We used this SUP for the first time today on a canal in Bude, being of the cheaper end of the market I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was fantastic and I would say the quality is that of a more expensive board. The carry strap made life so much easier when walking past the canal locks and the small waterproof bag really was waterproof. All in all this is well worth the money and I’m sure we will have many days of fun over the next few months. I’m thinking of buying a third paddleboard and will probably buy a second one of these.

spent ages reviewing, trying to decide by which time the price had increased ! However I’ve been very pleased with the quality of all the components – all seem well made . As others have said and I guess its a problem with all inlatable boards ,it takes quite an effort to inflate- getting it above 10 psi is real effort ! On the water its very impressive ,it moves very easily with little effort and maneuvers well – and there’s no sagging in the middle of the board – even at 10psi .The most difficult part is getting it back in the bag – the holdall could do with being a bit bigger .If you’re after a sup I can definitely recommend the Pace .

Wow, took my Aquaplanet pace out for its first outing this weekend to the beach in Hordle Cliff near Milford-on-Sea, Dorset . It was amazing the sea is slightly choppy there and this copped superbly. My kids 9 and 7 both managed to stand up after only a few attempts it’s very stable indeed. Me (mummy) took both kids as passengers we all fit on with plenty of room. Surfed a few small waves but I’m sure it can cope slightly bigger waves too. We will be buying another one as this was originally purchased for myself and my children have now claimed it as their own . Super fast delivery -two days !!! Amazing price! Everything fits in the bag no problem , lots of reviews about the bag not being strong enough but only time will tell on that one at the moment I’ve no issues with it at all. It’s perfect for carry to and from your car to the beach . Defiantly get your kids to help with the inflating (bit of a workout) bit took around 10 mins . This is definitely a board we are as a family going to have lots of fun with . Go get yours !

Bought this as an entry level board and used it on lakes and rivers in the UK as well as abroad on the sea. The key thing is I feel it’s a terrific entry board at a sensible price and backed up by excellent customer service. Specifically:

    * It’s good for all the family – not tricky to use at all.
    * It’s relatively easy to inflate and this seems to get easier with practise.
    * Customer service is great. I lost one of the required o-rings for the pump and Aquaplanet sent me a new one. Maybe in the future they could include spares by default since they are easy to misplace.
    * The whole package is great for the price. Money has been saved on the bag and, having had a fair amount of use being carried around airports etc, mine is now pretty battered. It won’t survive another long trip but you get what you pay for.
    * It’ll do long days on the water with ease. Like all inflatable SUPs, the valve needs tightening from time to time. Just be aware – at the end of the day, it’s a quality piece of sporting kit and not a lilo!

In summary, my favourite purchase of 2019 that’s given need many hours of fun.

Great board and excellent customer service

After 18 months with this Paddle Board I am very pleased. It is good value and excellent quality. I had one of the originals and there have since been improvements on the design of the bag etc. I have tried multiple SUPS of friends more expensive and I am always satisfied with this one. The customer service is excellent they replaced a broken part of my paddle 18 months down the line.

Very good SUP. Used it on the sea and river, great fun! The only disappointment is the pump. After few uses( had it just a month) the pump has falled apart. Sadly the hose is not sticking to the pump and is not sealing when pumping air so our last trip to the sea yesterday was with half inflated SUP. Would like to know what pump will others or Aquaplanet recommed

Everything has worked well so far. Only used it twice but amazed how strong and sturdy it seems. Takes some puff to blow it up – good arm exercise and really hard work towards the end but do-able, especially if the task is shared! Would make sure to point out about the valve that needs lifting up otherwise it would be really hard work to pump. Good customer service though and overall, very pleased.

You will not be disappointed with this SUP, it is sturdy and feels great on the water, it’s easy to inflate, easy to pack away, all parts are well made And it feels much more expensive than the actual price I paid, we have used about 8 times now in various conditions from calm to choppy and it’s been great, I bought this for my teenage son and bought the aqua planet max for myself, and although I love my max SUP, I do prefer the speed and sturdiness of the pace, I keep trying to get him to swap boards with me but he won’t 🙂

    Great SUP

I bought a paddleboard off these guys a few weeks ago, and unfortunately had a problem with the pump after a few uses. I contacted them through Amazon, and they responded within minutes to try and get a handle on what was wrong. They said right away that they would replace the hose – and they did indeed. It came within literally two days. I would say that if you are planning on buying an inflatable paddleboard, then these guys are the people to go with. Anything goes wrong and you know they will do their best to fix it or replace the part without leaving you waiting for ages. Also, the paddleboard is pretty class too. Had a beautiful sunset paddle on it last night and a wee surf on some small waves. Great fun, and light enough for one person to carry. Highly recommended.

Love love love this paddle board. Only had it 3 days but my teen children and I have used it every day..
It was a serious workout to pump it up but the pump is ok.
We have kept it inflated and throw it on top of the car. Light and easy to carry. Slick style but sturdy and easy to navigate.
Love the red and blue design.
So much fun. Even took my dog for a ride. She loved it too!
    Good value for money.

only used once, but all went well (except our ability to stand upright!). Inflated well, felt really sturdy and solid. paddle was good – adjustable length is great. also deflated easily and packs away back in the bag.

The board arrived two days earlier than expected on a beautiful summers day! Easy instructions, easy to inflate, easy to carry – hard to learn how to stand up on it!! That’s me as a beginner. However after a few minutes I got the handle of it. Great product. Seems well made and easy to inflate and use. Make sure you inflate as much as the instructions say – it seems hard to get to 1bar (15psi) but worth it for the extra rigidity and stability it brings. Son and I using it every day. Good product and recommended for people new to iSUPs and wanting a board to pack up and take on holiday (whenever that happens!!)

Had some great fun on this board. I think it is best for lighter users. I’m about 13 stone and I found it a bit wobbly in comparison to hire boards but it is great for my kids. I bought a kayak seat for it and this is brilliant. It handles much better than an inflatable kayak and you have a nice higher riding position and it is much more rigid as you would expect. Would defo recommend.

Really great entry level board, value for money but you will need to invest in a few extras… Bag is not well made, starts to fall to pieces after first use and very uncomfortable if you are walking more than a few mins. The pump broke on the second use, can repair it with some hose clips but will probably have to get a new one at some point.
But overall its a great board for the money. Takes me and my large ish dog (combined weight of about 105kg) with no bending at all.

I bought and used this board in seas, rivers and lakes over the summer. I was out on it once or twice every week. The board is amazing for the price. I was out with people using much more expensive boards which didn’t perform as well. I had previously rented inflatable boards from an outdoor centre that cost over a 1000 each for them to buy and I honestly believe this board is as good if not better, it took everything I threw at it with ease and was great fun to play with. I did have a few issues with the product, the zip on the bag was defective, and one of the D rings came off the board meaning I could no longer attach a kayak seat. On both occasions when I contacted Aqua Planet they immediately dispatched new products, including replacing the board itself. I’ve never had such good customer service in my life. Great product and a great company.

We bought two, one had no problems and the second one had a slight pumping up issue but was quickly resolved by hints and tips from the manufacturers website.

My family of four have loved using this up and down the river Thames and in some local lakes. The product is very quick to deflate and pack away and takes ~5 mins to inflate. They pack so small into the bag that they are easy to carry to an array of locations up and down the river.

I have now bought 2 of these. It is a very stable and reasonably fast board. I weigh 90kg and paddle with my 3 year old son and 8 year old daughter at the same time.
I believe the board is very well made I have had no issues after using for over 8 weeks solid. The pump is adequate and fair for the price, however I have now bought double pump to speed things up. The customer service is amazing.

love this board, my first time on a sup board, very stable, had lots of comments on what a nice board it was .. gave 4 * for easy to inflate only because I’m a weakling and when it gets to around 11lbs I struggled to inflate it, great buy

  41. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom

Only used it once on a local lake so far. All good though. There were a couple of other people with this board there.
Pretty quick to inflate with the hand pump. Bit of a work out but nothing dramatic.
When you get it up to what you think is a firm PSI the gauge on the pump doesn’t register.
That’s because you are no where near the correct PSi. That last part of the inflation takes some doing.
To be fair that would be true of any inflatable paddle board though.
Looks well made and sturdy but it won’t get used properly now till next year.

Bought two of these. Very good value for money compared with other boards. The ‘max’ is possibly more stable as the nose is flatter. We use our boards combined with sit-on-top kayak seats attached to the D rings. Brilliant as kayaks. We go on them as often as we can and have discovered a new sport. Highly recommend!

This was one of the most reasonably priced boards I looked at but I’m very pleased with the quality. It was been used both on the sea in reasonably choppy conditions as well as on a river. In both situations it was very stable and although I also looked at boards costing 3 times as much, I can’t see how they would have been any better. The leash snapped (to be honest, I was putting too much strain on it for reasons best left unsaid!) and I emailed Aquaplanet. A free replacement arrived 2 days later. I am planning on getting another board soon for my son and will definitely buy another from Aquaplanet. Strongly recommended.

Great product at great value! I did quite a lot of research before buying my board as I wanted something not excessively expensive but didn’t want to compromise on quality. I’d tried a friend’s aquaplanet board and enjoyed it but decided on the pace because I wanted to use it on the sea – great shout! The pointier front allows any small waves to break over the front of the board and really helps manouverability. I’ve tried other more expensive boards e.g. Red but honestly couldn’t tell the difference – buy an aquaplanet board, it’s a steal!

As a fair weather paddle boarder I found this a sturdy board, more wobbly than the hire ones I’ve used previously but the sea had more swell will need to practice! Good pump & paddle. Bag zip split on 2nd use. Easily deflates & packs away. Had confidence that it wouldn’t deflate whilst using. All in all a good board

Love this board! Really stable, on the british sometimes choppy sea, well made, quick to inflate.

Only 4 stars based on the accessories, my paddle is after a few uses very hard to unclip to take apart, it’s basically stuck together as the catch as gone. The surf sack unclips with even the slightest moment, so no use. I worry every time about taking my keys.

The board itself is clearly what you pay for and it’s great, accessories not so much.

  47. winfredeeou101 says:

Really good paddle board, especially for the price and if a beginner/occasional user like me.
The valve can be a bit temperamental, but gets easier once you work out how to use it. The only issue I’ve really had is with the pump hose where the tube came away from the valve connector as the glue gave way. Seems to have been solved by the addition of a jubilee clip on each end.
As for the board itself, it’s really good. Solid in the water and easy to manoeuvre.
Would (and have) recommend to others.

Once inflated and on the water had great fun, found it more stable with the third fin in, went out on the sea, calm day with gentle breeze no waves to speak of. This is only my second go on a SUP, so well impressed.

Inflating was hard, I could not inflate to 15 psi on my own and it did take 15 minutes. Definitely recommend it, easier to transport as well.

Contacted company who advised once inflated to a point where you are unable to pump, remove the valve from the pump to make it one way. Have not tried that yet, but am sure it will be easier.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have had the Aquaplanet 10’6″ Pace for most of the summer and now is probably the best time for a review. Just to add some context, I have only ever rented boards and they have been either STK or Star boards.

I have used the board on open seas with a little swells, a sheltered marina, fresh water lakes, rivers and cannels.

The board came packaged well, and arrived when promised.

The package itself comes with the board, pump, 3 piece paddle, bag, waterproof bag and repare kit.

The paddle is very robust, if a little heavy. But it does float as it detailed in the product description. It’s easy to adjust but being not a tall man, I couldn’t say the maximum height it would suit.

The bag fits everything the package comes with with room for more. I normally keep a towel and spare top in mine and there is still loads of room. That said, it does not look like the most robust bag and although nothing has broken so far, I would not be surprised if it broke within the next 12 months.

The supplied pump does get the board to the 15 psi needed. But as some of the other reviewers have mentioned, it’s a workout! But never normally takes me more that 10minutes. The construction quality of the pump is where it’s let down. The foot plate on mine has broken away on one side and I think the other will go at some point too.

The worst part of the package has to be the waterproof bag that is supplied. It’s a nice touch but executed poorly. The clip that seals the bag comes undone so easily that I would not trust it at all. The bag is also to thick to be closed with any real contents in it.

Now to the board itself. Like I said before, I have only ever used high end boards when hiring so I only have them to compare to. That said, for the price this board holds up well. It seems very well manufactured and has stood up well over this summer so far. I have used it with both me(80kg) and my son(20kg) on for long paddles and it copes well. The deck is comfortable and the small storage area holds a fair amount of kit. I have had a 10ltr dry bag and a bottle of water on it with room for more. The shape is slightly more touring than all round which helps cut through that water and seems just as stable. Even my 12 year old daughter has managed to paddle out on it with little instruction.

Overall the package is great for the price and I would recommend this to anyone after an affordable first board.

I was in the water having fun a few minutes after I opened the bag. Relatively easy to carry, much easier to inflate than I expected. Pure fun in the water. It is my first one, so I can’t comment on ‘competition level’ requirements, but for having fun and exercise during the holidays, it was absolutely great.

I was nervous about buying this board due to some of the comments about the carry bag and pump. I’m pleased I went ahead, the bag is much better than those pictured so I think it’s been replaced with the one I have in my picture section. Easy to inflate by using the double pump action and then switching to single pump mode for the last psi. It looks great and I’ve had my first few nervous laps of the harbour. I’m at the high end of the weight limit for the board but have had no issues with stability or sagging. All together I couldn’t be happier with the product.

First time paddle boarder great bit of kit.

I bought this on a whim. I was very surprised on the quality and accessories that came with it. My friend bought the Aldi iSUP at the same time, and was only 50 less, and the Aquaplanet board is so much better than his. So a good buy.
I have used it twice, once in a river and once in the sea, and I must say I was very pleased with it. I did manage to catch waves and surf in. There was not much of a swell and only the long boards were catching the wave. But with the iSUP I could catch them well before they could 🙂 Most fun.
Now you are wondering why the headline reads ” It’s all about customer service”, well the bag that the board came in started to unstich. I contacted AQUAPLANET and there was no fuss, they were understanding and very helpful.
So to wrap it up, it’s good when you can get a response from customer service. AQUAPLANET keep it up and thank you.

This SUP package is great and has everything that you need to get going. The order arrived relatively quickly and was well packaged. Build quality is good, i’ve not experienced the issues with the bag that others have.
SUP inflates easily enough and the two setting pump works well. Would look to change the paddle at some point though personally.

Great for my 12 year old. Tough going using the pump to 15 psi which needs an adult. 1 star dropped as paddle is cheap. It wobbles where connected when you use it and needs some kind of clamp/support to stiffen it. Looks great though. Purchased with 50 off during prime week. Would recommend.

Just arrived how could you not be impressed. I have hired paddle inflatable boards and looked at Boards twice the price this looks and feels great.
Complete package all seems great quality I inflated mine to 10psi and found it solid. Great looking Board can’t wait to try it out.
Fantastic value for money. Will let you know on the stability front once I have been on the water. Now used the Board 5 times on both lake and sea. Very pleased with performance. Inflation is a good workout and the board is very stiff once at 15PSI. I leave mine inflated and carry it on the top of our car which works well. My only criticism is a small one but the bag is on the small size and the zip has already broken. Just ordered a larger bag.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe bag is very poor quality. Both the handle straps have come off the side leaving holes in the bag through wear and tare. A shame when you spent 270 for a quality item you do not expect the bag to be stiched so poorly and to come to bits within 10 uses. The bag has also detroriated despite drying the aqua board out and bag throughly after use. A shame as the board is incredible and fast coated to other hire ones I have tried. Kids aged 12 and 9 were up standing within half an hour of use. We took a little longer! More like KDP, kneel down paddleboarding than SUP! . We have found we can use it locally on lakes and rivers with sensible use and life jackets. Unfortunately my daughter lost the paddle in lake Windermere, fortunately at the end of the hols, so about to order a replacement! We now take the large fin out and found this eaiser for turning as suggested. One of the most stable but fast boards I have been on.

Poor bag, fast, but stable board and fun for all the family.

Bought 3 of these for myself and my 15 n 17yo sons (90, 97, 55kg) after alot of research decided on the aquaplanet 10’6… delivered in 3 days… pumping them up is a challenging 10 min workout.. but the pumps have double intake making it easier… boards very to assemble..light enough to carry on your back (15kg) easy to roll up, everything goes into the bag easily… used them several times in the sea… light conditions 12mph winds.. boards were great fun… have tried red and o’shea boards before… i could not notice any difference on the water… had some stitching come loose on one of the bags, notified aquaplanet who sent a replacement within 3 days… excellent board and equipment, fantastic value for money and excellent customer service…highly recommend.

Really good SUP for the money. It is strong and has little flex. We had two of us on it for a play and it was brill! It’s got a low drag and is nice and stable.

After looking at buyer suggestions and online reviews, came across this on Amazon. Thought about it for a while before purchase because it is so much cheaper than suggested brands online. I don’t know what else you pay for in the more expensive brands but whatever it is I don’t need it. It’s a brilliant kit and the board is absolutely rigid when inflated. I’m new to paddle boarding but not water sports and I was standing up confidently within 15 minutes. I got a couple of soakings but the board performed brilliantly. The kit packs into the bag well, and I did not have any difficulties with the pump. It’s also great for sucking air out of the board when packing away. Nice simple, clear instructions are included, and I was up and in the water in less than 20 mins. I set off in a sheltered bay and was in open water with no problem great stability (the Pace board, the ‘sportier’ one). Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Additional comments after a summers use. Board has held up great, no issues with the pump and I’ve inflated and deflated for every use. It is a workout, and not great surrounded by the midges! Confidence has grown over the summer, but I haven’t ever felt that the board was the limitation. I would still highly recommend it. I’ve been exploring on open sea no problem apart from realising I’m not fit enough. Still looks like new and wearing well. Friends have used it and are hooked. Great board. We now have two.

I love this board compared to another one I had purchased earlier this year, of the same dimensions; it’s much more rigid, more stable in chop and cuts through waves easier owing to the design of the board. I feel much more comfortable moving around on the board compared to others. I am 98kg and 6ft 2 and I can stand up on the board with ease.

However one downside I see with the board is the design of the paddle. It’s a great paddle but the way it fits together means that the handle can move round in the shaft as it’s secured by tension from a collar on the shaft. I have seen paddles that have a handle secured by two pins which means the handle can’t twist in the shaft, also this means that the paddle can only be set up in the correct fashion.
If the paddle that comes with this set had some markings on the shaft collar and the handle then it would help in setting up the paddle and help ensuring the handle is in the correct position.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersReceived paddle board for my girlfriend’s birthday, unfortunately the pump is inadequate, doesn’t connect to valve and shows no psi, so at the moment it’s quite pointless to inflate the board, this was for my girlfriend’s birthday present and she isn’t happy, week off work and can’t use her present, we are both annoyed, sent supplier a message for a replacement pump, everything else was included in package. I will update further, purchased at reduced offer price as previous reviews were very good, no mention of faulty pump. I have only given 1 star due to the pump being faulty and unable inflate our board correctly.

Got this on the prime day and used it yesterday and it was fantastic, although the sea was a little choppy it faired well and had no issues.

It is a little hard to get to the recommended 15psi and need to get the hang of taking the pump out without losing air, everything fits perfectly in the bag and it’s so easy to carry to the beach.

In all a great purchase and would recomend as a starter board.

The SUP arrived very quickly and was well packaged. On opening the box I inflated the SUP to check everything was good and was in working order. It didn’t take long to inflate but I was surprised and the quality compared to some of the more expensive boards. Its very easy to pack away into the rucksack and I can stick it on my back while on my moped.

On the water its quite stable and tracks well. It takes a little getting use to if you have been on a wider board but I cant fault it.

I would recommend it to anyone who wants some fun on the water without spending a fortune.

Bought a good few weeks ago, but finally got the board out.
Assembly was straightforward but the last few PSI was a struggle, just bear with it and think of it as a pre-workout!
The fin to slide in was a bit stiff but pretty sure after more use, it will become easier.
The bag to carry the deflated board is a bit on the small side and struggled to get get board, pump and paddle all in, but this is only a minor grumble.
Board is great and has everything you need, it is not as wide as some, but if you can (and you will) master this one, most other boards will be a walk in the park.
Great value for money and look forward to getting more use in the summer .

An inexpensive way to get into paddle boarding. Paddle, pump, leash and carry bag are included as well as a repair kit and a dry bag. I would advise people new to paddleboarding to look up youtube videos on how to use a paddleboard and get some safety tips before you get on the water.

We have now had this for a few weeks and taken it to a couple of different lakes local to where we are. We have been very impressed by the board. I was sceptical as I have used boards from Red in the past and found them to be brilliant. To be honest these seem to be just as good. Once pumped to the required pressure (which doesn’t take long) it is solid. I am 107kg and it didn’t flinch. We loaded it with myself, by 30kg daughter and her friend and it still floated! I have to say I am extremely impressed and we are looking to get another one before we go on holiday to France. Thanks James for bringing to market such a great value for money product.

The SUP, paddle, pump and accessories were in perfect working order on unpacking. I reviewed the hell out of this board so I knew I had a bargain compared to others in its price range. I’ve now taken it out twice and I can confirm that it’s a great board, rigid at full pressure and stable in the water. I’m fairly new to the sport but I have rented several high end boards that are 500+ more expensive and I hardly noticed the difference, I’m sure the pro’s could tell you the difference but for a have-a-go hero like me it’s perfect. Obviously I can’t comment on the longevity of the board but at first glance its great.

Summary – great board, at a great price…if you do intend on travelling with it, buy a better rucksack!

Great first time SUP, throw away the bag

Love this paddle board. Last 5 psi quite tough to get to the correct inflation but great once in the water. I also bought a kayak seat to clip on the d rings for my kids to sit in front or use like a canoe. I now have the sup bug.

Only used this product once so far. First time on an iSUP and was pleasantly surprised buy just how solid it was when fully inflated. Two of my friends jumped on so we had 3 people on and we were still just above the water. With just me on it was floating well so there is plenty of space to put bags without being too heavy.

The only reason I couldn’t give 5 star is because the pump that comes in the package is pretty poor quality and doesn’t stay in the paddle board once it’s past about half way inflated. This is irritating as it means until I purchase a new pump, I have to be with someone else to use my paddle board. Unless I’m just doing something wrong, I push down and twist the little button where the pump goes in and twist the pump in the lock it but it still falls out when the board gets past half inflated.

Overall, well the money for people (me) who are just beginning or simply cannot afford to splash out the 500+ on a different iSUP.

EDIT: changed to 5 star as I was being a stereotypical male and not reading the instructions Clearly written on the pump.. The pump does still feel flimsy and I don’t expect it to last years, however it DOES work correctly and you CAN inflate this by yourself straight out of the bag(make sure to be wearing some kind of buoyancy if paddling alone).

I umm-ed and ahh-ed about buying this board as a relatively new SUP-er. Used Red 10 6’s on lakes in UK, and bought this for going on holiday to France. It really is superb – solid, stable, easy to inflate, compact in bag etc. Tracks superbly in straight line with centre fin, and really whippy without. Trying tomorrow in surf. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending – fantastic value for money, and my opinion just keeps going up! Thank you Aquaplanet, very happy customer.

The bag is really good and makes it so much easier to transport.

Overall really happy with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 44 From Our UsersI am not a SUP expert. I knew very little about SUPs a couple of weeks ago. My decision on which SUPs to buy was very much influenced by reviews. I did have some pre-sales questions which I put to Aquaplanet and they were very helpful and prompt with their reply which was encouraging. I was torn between the Pace and Max, both being thicker with more buoyancy that the entry level Allround. I wanted the greater buoyancy primarily so that 2 people could go out if they wanted. I ended up buying 2 x Pace as they are reputedly a bit faster and have a little more glide. I was also working on basis that they had better directional stability and would handle a mild chop better.

Ordering and delivery was usual Amazon slick process.

Unboxed both, and everything there well packed.

Initial observations were that whole kit was very light. Later when carrying SUP inflated was very easy simply using the carry handle positioned around centre of gravity. There is a shoulder strap as well if you want it.

    Quality of everything appeared good.

The travel rucksack appeared robust, including the zips. I had ready some unfavourable comments about the zips but they seemed chunky and up to the job. Maybe Aquaplanet has listened to feedback and upgraded the zips.

Paddles were very easy to assemble with scale to making it easy to reassemble to the correct length each time. There is also some closed cell foam in the top section which presumably provided some buoyancy if you drop the paddle.

The main fin, which is removeable, has a simple and positive lock so it can’t come off accidentally.

Nice touch is the small waterproof sack, which came in handy to put car keys in.

I was initially surprised and disappointed at how small the pump was, and being a single barrel. However, my opinion changed dramatically when I actually used it. I could not believe how quickly they pumped up. I should stress that the pump is both double and single acting. Note this well as it is very important. The double acting was very good at rapidly inflating to low pressure. Then when it started to get harder, I simply unscrewed a bung on the side and converted it to single acting making the high pressure inflation easier. In total I think it took less than 8 minutes to inflate – and without any dramas. The whole process was very easy. Almost too easy…

We took both SUPs to the beach inflated on car roof rack, which probably defeated object of having inflatable stand up paddle board, but nevertheless I couldn’t see point in deflating having tested at home and then reinflating at the beach.

We started in calm water, inside Poole Harbour, where both children [grown up] quickly got the hang of balance and paddling. We then walked across to beach at Sandbanks, where the sea was a little more challenging as it had a light swell and chop. Albeit more challenging, the SUPs behaved impeccably and they had no problem manoeuvring and keeping bow into the waves. They were able to confidently paddle out 200M from the shore around the speed limit buoys and back.

I have nothing to compare these SUPs with to know whether they are good or bad, or represent good or bad value. All I can say at this point is that there seems to be a lot of good reviews, the dealer seems responsive, the SUPs come complete with everything you might need [including repair kit and ankle leash], everything seems well made and thought out, they performed well in calm and choppy seas, they seem very rigid even with two people aboard, and they provided a lot of joy to my kids – which is highest priority.

I have no regrets with my choice and would have no hesitation in recommending.

Final point. Do watch out for thickness of boards. If you are heavy or want the ability for two to be on the board, you are probably best looking for a 6″ [15cm] thick board, like the Aquaplanet Pace and Max. Apart from the additional buoyancy from approx. 50% more air volume, I believe that they also tend to be stiffer and therefore will perform better.

One final final point. There may be better, and more expensive SUPs out there, but personally I can’t see the point in paying more for light recreational use / fun. Maybe in a few years I will have a better appreciation of what makes a good or bad board, but now I feel the Pace is a good board and serves my uses perfectly. Well done Aquaplanet.

Easy to inflate, like the pointed nose, good acessories apart from the bag which ripped after it’s third use, will probably need to replace with a large duffle bag. Apart from that I am happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot this on a whim thinking it might be a bit of a laugh. It turned out to be brilliant fun and soon the whole family was fighting over it, so much so that we have now got a second one. We did have a pump fail but emailed Aquaplanet and they sent a new one straight out, free of charge and it arrived the next day. The kit comes with everything you need including a dry bag for your phone and keys and a puncture repair kit, although this thing is so tough I can not imagine how you would put a hole in it. Once inflated it becomes absolutley ridgid. It’s like standing on a solid foam board. It is very stable and a lot easier than I thought it would be. It is very quick to deflate and it all packs into its own backpack, handy if you have to carry it down to the beach. A bargain at this price. Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA good, sturdy and manoeuvrable paddle-board for the price that definitely demonstrates good value for money.
The board comes with an arm pump and it took me a good 45 minutes to pump it up so I haven’t had the heart to deflate it yet.

It appears impossible to remove the fin when the board is fully inflated which may or may not be a problem depending on your storage arrangements. The board has great handling and copes with long distances well. It does lose air over time but not as much as I expected it too.

When you’re riding it on the water you would be forgiven for forgetting it was inflatable all together.

Got to try it out for real last week. First time on a paddle board, so a bit of a shaky start on the very first trial, working out where best to put my feet. Great fun. Had an issue with the bag in that it ripped but that was quickly resolved with a replacement. Been out on it as much as I can since I received it and it’s performed really well. Would agree that the best place to practice is on a calm river or lake. Had it in the sea but I realised quickly that I was not ready to stand out there. Spent the day paddling on my knees. I was standing up in no time when paddling on a river or lake.
Its great fun, a really good workout. I normally swim in the places I am using the board and it gives it all a new beautiful perspective when paddling there. Totally recommend the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 113 From Our Usershis is my second board from aquaplanet, great service and quick delivery. I have put photos up of both boards to do a direct comparison. I bought the 10 ft x 4inch allround board first ( the all blue one in the second photo ) and was happy to use as a starter board on flat water. I am 11 stone and 5ft six inches and I am a beginner at this sport. as you can see the board bends in the middle. it still behaves well and is quite stable but a bit difficult to move your feet backward and forwards on the board.
I then bought the 10ft 6 x 6 inch pace board, what a difference ! it sits higher in the water and is much stiffer. obviously it holds more air and this makes it more bouyant. this shows when you try you move about on the board, it still moves but doesnt tip as much. the stability is much greater and this makes it easier to move about on. also the shape of the front cuts through the water better and you can get a good turn of speed with less effort. I enjoy both boards but would recommend the pace for choppy water as it is more stable. the 10 ft would be better suited to smaller lighter people. both boards are built to a very high standard.

Golden Review Award: 79 From Our UsersI bought the board in January as a birthday present to myself.
As a 64 year old ex-surfer, I thought it would be fun (a sort of age related progression – like football to walking-football!!). I could see no point in writing a review until I’d really tried the board. I’m no lover of cold water, so I waited until I had an opportunity to try the board somewhere warmer.
I opened the package at home and assembled everything. I was surprised at the quality of all the components and the way it all packed away into the included rucksack. I covered the bag in bubble warp and booked it on the flight as sports equipment (slightly cheaper than extra luggage).
On my first day at the beach, I was amazed how quickly it was to set-up on the beach – about 20 minutes from car to water, although having a trial run at home was a great help. I recently bought a small tyre compressor and adaptor to inflate it via the car cigarette lighter, but in fact it’s much quicker to use the included pump and you get a 15 minute upper-body workout as well.

My advice to anyone going on a SUP for the first time, do it on a lake. No matter how calm the sea looks, there are nearly always small swells that can tip you off balance when not prepared. I spent the first days struggling in choppy water, the first 15 minutes just paddling around, like on a surfboard, sitting, kneeling and just getting used to the balance. Once I had the confidence, I got the paddle and spent a while on my knees paddling around and occassionally standing up and often falling off. I bit of perseverance with the paddle, taking swells head on and being ready to drop to your knees when feeling unbalanced and it’s quite easy to get the knack. If you’re not used to these types of balance sports, it won’t happen overnight. It can be tiring on the knees (you need to keep them slightly bent and ready to adjust your weight)
It is undoubtedly easier to balance and manoeuvre with the cental fin in place, but if you’re messing around in the shallow water, I guess it could get damaged.

I’m glad I chose the 6″ model as it does seem very bouyant. I was able to paddle along with my wife sat up front (about 140 kgs in total). I’ve been in the water 7 times now and each time feel more confident. My youngest son tried it and was stood up paddling after about 30 minutes in a very slight swell. Next month I,m hoping to be able to be to be propelled by small waves (sod’s law it’ll probably be like a millpond next time!). I may even try one of those little sails you can attach to the built-in loops at the front of the board.
I’m considering buying another board to keep here in the UK, and I can see no reason not buy another one of these boards.

Why didn’t I give it 5 stars? Mainly because I’ve got nothing to compare it to and secondly because I like to know something will last before I would give it maximum points. Although I have no reason to beleive this board won’t last.

For anyone wanting to have a go at this sport, I would highly recommed this board. It appears well designed, easy to set-up and use, and, despite the price, there seems to be no compomise on quality.
Pros:- Build quality; ease of use; design; accessories; price.
Cons:- None I can think of.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our Users1. Great fun!
Getting this board had us (myself with 2 kids and friends with their 2) out in places that would not otherwise have dreamed of getting in the water. If you like water (ocean or lakes alike), and not afraid of being IN the water, then one of these is a great investment. Wetsuits for the kids go a long way too, especially up here in Scotland!

    2. Learning curve, but stable
At first I thought I’d made the wrong choice since this board felt pretty unstable (heading straight for the ocean and swell I should add), but I’ve been getting used to it and I now find it perfectly stable (at 17psi) for me at 6’5″ and 95kg. It’s fine with kids on too (age 5 and 11). You do get easily shaken by passengers if you’re standing, but that would be the same on any board or even boat for that matter. Myself and a friend (at around 95 and 85kg) have been out on it together too, and there’s no shortage of buoyancy with this thing!

    3. Quality
I had probably about the worst experience with the pump and valve, but I still give it 5 stars because this was outweighed by the excellent customer service I received from James at Aquaplanet (the owner, I believe).
3.1 Firstly, the valve was leaking after being inflated. I sent a message to the seller after which I received a phone call from James who explained how to use the included valve tightening tool. Quarter turn, and sorted.
3.2 The pump started leaking while inflating. I think they are quite sensitive to sand, so be careful. This was replaced by the seller without much question. It is a budget pump, but gets the board up to 17psi with a good bit of a free workout too. It’s definitely easier with time and practice. Top tip – leave the board rolled up and get the kids to pump it up until it takes full shape. They find it quite rewarding and my 5 year old daughter manager this on her own.
3.3 The blasted pump hose. This was the most annoying. The original hose seemed to press the valve a notch too far down which meant that when I disconnected it, it would let out air for 2-3 seconds before re-seating. That meant the last 5 or so hard-worked PSI! I did pay attention to the instructions on the valve position and tested this clearly. It was definitely the hose! Along with the above mentioned replacement pump, I got a replacement hose too which sorted this issue. I appreciate life so much more now when it just works! 😉

The rest of the actual board itself seems fine quality with a nice deck pad and what seems to be a fairly tough over-all construction. Paddle, fin and carry bag are all adequate too and I’ve not had any issues with any of them.

    Happy paddling everyone!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersThis is my second Aquaplanet board and I’m delighted with it! I got the 10ft Allround earlier this year and the biggest problem was that I couldn’t get my kids off it, so need to get one of my own! I’m 6’2″ so whilst the Allround was fine, I needed something a bit longer and thicker for longer distance paddles. The PACE is perfect for this and the half a foot extra length makes it run straighter and truer and doesn’t appear to be any less maneuverable – quite the opposite in fact. It has a slightly longer / deeper keel/fin which means you don’t have to swap sides with the paddle quite so often and it maintains straight line speed a little better than the Allrounder. It’s easy to pump up quickly, and only get’s harder in the last few pumps to get it up to 15psi (but make sure you do – getting it properly pumped up and rigid makes a huge difference!). Overall this is amazing value for money and about 25%-50% cheaper than anything else I could find in a similar spec. It’s a really good board and I’d happily recommended it to anyone who wants to take one step up from beginner, to feeling like an expert!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought online having read the reviews. Delivered within 2 days (brilliant) took the board out recently with the kids and it did everything that i was hoping for, it is sturdy and easy to inflate (bit of a workout to get the recommended psi) with everything you need to get going. As a newbie to paddle boarding i am extremely happy with my purchase a. I would highly recommend this package

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is an Extremely Good Paddleboard – and at a very Good Price too!!
My 14 year old daughter and myself are both newbies to Paddleboarding
and we both found the Pace Board easy to handle and manoeuvre on a
large lake. ( We were both in Wetsuits on a very cold day and took turns riding the board)
The Board, and all the accessories that come with it are made to a “very high Standard”.
My daughter is so pleased and happy with this and me too – am going to buy a second one
    for myself

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOrdered the board just after Christmas for my teenaged son and I was impressed with how quickly the product was dispatched. The board inflated really quickly and seemed to be extremely sturdy. I was concerned that once inflated, there was not a cat in hells chance that it would go back in the hold-all provided, but it did. I have a very happy son, who had been looking at a more expensive board which would have been 130 dearer.

    First time SUP purchase

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersBeen wanting a paddle-board for ages but to be honest wasn’t sure where to begin, being a bit of a newbie at this. Saw the reviews of the other Aquaplanet board were really good but preferred the colour scheme on this one, the blue and red looks really cool!! (I know! Call me shallow!) The free delivery was actually really quick, next day.
Haven’t been in the water with it yet (it’s freezing out!) but had a trial run inflating it in the garage and it’s a solid bit of kit, looks very sturdy and is obviously high quality. Will update when I get it on the water!
