This drive is a UHD-ROM (like any other available UHD drive, currently no manufacturer produces a UHD burner), you can not write on a 4K UHD Blu-ray Disc. There will be no firmware update or the like for this drive to become a UHD burner. You can NOT create a 1: 1 backup copy of purchased 4K UHD films and this is also not planned or permitted for licensing reasons.

Player software:
- for purchased Blu-ray films with copy protection, the MAC likes Leawo Blu-Ray Player (free of charge – App Store – the film starts approx. 30 sec. after a hint) or (for a fee) Leawo Blu-Ray Player Premium Version, Macgo Blu-ray Player, Aiseesoft Blu-ray Player and others
- for self -burned Blu-rays you are welcome to use VLC player (freeware – but does not work with purchased Blu-rays )
Burner software:
- Audio CDs burn iTunes, data CDs and DVDs burn the Finder / Windows Explorer, for Blu-ray you need extra software
- if you want to burn Blu-ray, you need Toast Titanium Pro, for example , or a little cheaper “Toast Burn ” from the app store
- with toast from Roxio , you cannot watch purchased films!
- CDBurnerXP is an interesting freeware solution for Windows
If it does not work properly, it has also proven itself:
- update the burning software / player software
- check the cable connection (change slot)
- if absolutely not to use a passive USB hub
- connect the thicker cable directly to the motherboard (on the back of the PC)
- not to use too many USB devices. (It has been shown that Windows and Mac cannot – safely manage too many USB devices, especially in connection with a drive)
- if you have updated your operating system from the PC , also check or install the corresponding current manufacturer drivers for your system (board / USB controller and audio system) and check whether your software (copy, burn, cut video etc.) Blu -ray capable and then please install the associated software extension (plug-in)

After previously being let down with a cheaper player which was returned to amazon, reading the reviews, I decided to pay the extra. best decision I made.
The player was well packed, deliver was quick.
On opening the box, quality just jumped out, the player was in a first class case. The player obviously was metal, but the feel of it superb.
Plugging the player into my laptop, pressing the button to insert the disc and closing, every thing seemed to have a nice firm click to it, this is a quality unit, the case never failed to open, unlike the previous player I purchased; am very pleased with it, well worth paying the extra money in my opinion.

This works with windows 10 for this to work 4K disc’s you need to change your BIOS in your computer to a different platform, check it out on YouTube first before you buy, as I didn’t know this before I bought this item. Thank you for your service kind regards.

Se avete un processore amd, lasciate perdere se il vostro intento quello di vedere i blu-ray 4k. Purtroppo questo legato alla protezione che contengono tutti i blu-ray ultra hd, che funzionano esclusivamente con le protezioni dei processori intel. Per il resto ottimo
Lleg rpido y en perfecto estado. Hay que tener en cuenta, por eso, al comprar un lector exterior, que no existe para Mac software gratuito lector de bluray (o no lo he enctontrado). Habr que comprarlo a parte.
This drive is absolutely fantastic, only thing have not tried yet is to play 4k content on it, or tried burning, but it is whisper quiet and even comes in its own hard case, for the money, this is excellent value when it is also future proof, first I was hesitant as had never heard of the name before, but well worth the money, its literally plug and play so don’t have to find drivers for it either 5 out of 5 I would rate this at, as I dont expect problems with either playing 4k content or burning disks with it.
The drive arrived very quickly, and it worked out from the box with my MacBook Air (M1).
I tested the drive with a couple of my legally purchased blu-ray and dvd discs, because there were a few complaints about compatibility with Mac. It worked fine and reading speed is 4-5 times faster than my old drive with the same discs.
Noise level is a bit high, but still acceptable level, after all it is not HiFi equipment but backup device.
The drive is neat looking piece, and with the case it is easy to store with the cables, when not in use. With the included USB-C cable only one port is needed for both data and power. Perfect!
Caro, pero pagas calidad. Buen reproductor, buen grabador y buenos materiales. La funda es ideal, detalle que resulta imprescindible para un aparato de estas caractersticas.
Watched a couple of blu rays now and with no issues. You get the cables and a pretty nice carry case.
HOWEVER bear in mind if you’ve a mac system, your up a creek without a paddle as none of the software on mac plays blu ray now. On windows it seems to be only Cyberlink Power DVD, which has a pretty bad installation bug.
Once past that though it all works fine. Just bear in mind you’re paying 140 for this, and then 80 for the software (or 45 if you signup for the subscription)
At this point it might be worth just buying a stand alone blu ray playe
Ho acquistato questo prodotto per fare un regalo. Purtroppo ho dovuto restituirlo perch gi in possesso del destinatario il quale mi assicura che Archgon di qualit e prestazioni eccezionali.
Comme tout un chacun, j’ai vite t perdu dans la multitude de modles, de normes toutes plus abracadabrantes les unes que les autres, d’avis allant du tout bon au tout mauvais, bref .. la jungle.
Et comme tout un chacun, j’ai beaucoup, beaucoup hsit avant de mettre 150 euros voire plus dans ce type de matriel.
J’ai finalement opt pour ce modle, malgr la marque qui m’tait totalement inconnue (contrairement Pioneer, Hitachi, Samsung, Asus et bien d’autres), essentiellement pour son ct “plug and play”. La suite, la voici :
Acte 1 : rception du colis. Temps d’acheminement record, colis scuris par demande de code la livraison .. rien dire, c’est pro.
Acte 2 : dballage et mise en route. L’ensemble est parfaitement emball, plutt “lourd”, ce qui est bon signe. Au dballage, le botier en alu bross noir est plutt classe, tout est parfaitement emball dans diffrents sachets plastique (pas trs co-responsable, mais bon : a permet de s’y retrouver). La notice en “Le franais” comporte des fautes d’orthographe, mais comme elle ne fait que deux pages, on pardonne. La mise en route est simplissime : allumage du PC, raccordement des USB sur le lecteur et sur le PC, insertion d’un disque (BD-RE) et l .. c’est cens fonctionner. Chez moi, VLC s’est lanc automatiquement et a immdiatement affich un message d’erreur. Bon, apparemment le logiciel ne sera pas VLC. On part ensuite la recherche des infos sur les logiciels. Je suis tomb peu de temps aprs sur Leawo Blu-ray Player, qui semble gratuit mais avec de la pub (gratuit pour l’instant .. je n’ai pas russi savoir si c’tait une version d’essai). Installation rapide, tlchargement de la dernire version de Java (sans laquelle le logiciel ne pouvait fonctionner, tout cela est automatique), et enfin : oh miracle !, au bout d’un petite heure : la premire vido Blu-ray enregistre sur mon disque se lit !!
La suite au prochain numro, mais dj, pour ce qui est de lire des BD-RE issus d’un DD de salon, a fonctionne et c’est rapide !
A noter le seul petit bmol du lecteur : un boucan de tracteur lorsque le disque se met en route (rien voir avec le lecteur de salon par exemple). Moi qui suit tout seul sur mon PC, a ne me gne pas particulirement, mais ce peut tre un lment prendre en compte dans un environnement de bureau type open space ou espace familial rduit.
Acte 3 : lecture de CD : rien dire, a marche impeccable. Pour info, j’utilise fre:ac Audio Converter pour sauvegarder mes CD audio en .flac sur mon NAS.
Le lecteur est un Pioneer. Son fonctionnement ne ncessite aucun pilote. Il lit parfaitement les bluray, condition d’avoir le logiciel adapt.
Test diffrents mdias en lecture: pas de problme
Test DVD+ en criture avec logiciel nro: parfaitement fonctionnel.

Modification: l’criture de Bluray de 25 Go a t effectue l’aide du logiciel nro: cinq disques ont t gravs: 100% de russite.: les disques sont des M&dia range vendu par Amazo
Plug and Play, man muss nur die Blue-Ray Software herunterladen, dann funktioniert alles reibungslos. Auch komfortabel mit der Transportbox
Buen aparato. Funciona perfectamente. Lo nico que es complicado ver pelculas 4k en el pc. Yo por lo menos todava no lo he conseguido.
Erfllt seine Aufgaben, Bild Top. Ein wenig laut im Betrieb, aber mit Zimmerlautstrke kaum wahrnehmbar.
Cumple con lo descrito y es un producto slido, buenos materiales, ajustado a la descripcin, espero que dure en el tiempo.

Ich habe mir den Brenner gekauft, weil sowohl mein vorhandener interner Brenner als auch ein zuvor fr diesen Zweck gekaufter externer sich weigerten 25GB und 50GB MDisk-Rohlinge von Verbatim zu beschreiben. Dieser hier tut dies ohne Probleme und recht leise. Fr meine Anforderungen TOPP!
Je l’utilise pour lire des Blue Ray Ou des DVD et ce lecteur graveur est trs rapide et silencieux , je ne regrette pas cet acha
E’ il primo masterizzatore esterno che acquisto, quindi non posso fare paragoni con altri masterizzatori esterni,
posso dire che il primo masterizzatore con meccanica Pioneer che provo, ho avuto in passato masterizzatori interni LG.
L’ho usato per ora 3 volte con dischi bluray verbatim a velocit di masterizzazione 4x,
silenzioso e f il suo dovere…devo ancora provarlo con vecchi CD e DVD datati per vedere se e come li legge.
Per il momento per come l’ho provato mi pare un ottimo masterizzatore.
Sono soddisfatto, magari unica cosa mi pare un p caro , ma se in futuro quando avr provato a pieno tutte le sue caratteristiche con esito positivo allora vuol dire che ne varr il prezzo.

Ce lecteur trs silencieux lit les Blu ray sans problme mais je n’ai pas russi lire les Blu ray 4K UHD ni sur mon mac ni sur mon pc. Il arrive a ouvrir les disques 4K UHD mais a ne se charge pas du coup il reste en veille sans suite. J’ai achet deux logiciels compatibles avec les Blu ray 4K mais sans rsultat si non le lecteur est top.
Alles bestens! Gert wurde gleich von meinem ASUS Mini-PC unter Win 10 Pro erkannt – keine Kompatibilitsprobleme hardwareseitig. Wenn Ihr jedoch 4K-Bluerays schauen wollt, bitte einen gute Software, wie z.B. POWER-DVD dazukaufen, wegen Codec.

Etwas teuer, aber dafr luft es echt gut. Der Geruschpegel schwangt, ist aber berwiegend leise.

Alors je n’ai qu’un seul coffret en 4k, la trilogie matrix en ultra hd, et bah, c’est dtect, cela reconnait le ultra hd bd, mais cela ne le lit pas. Que cela soit avec vlc ou leawo bluray player. Alors problme du coffret ou du lecteur je sais pas. Donc pour a qu’il n’aura pas la note maximale.
Comoda la borsa per il trasporto, ci stanno anche dei cavi supplementari.

Reu rapidement bien emball fonctionne bien lis parfaitement les blu-ray et les blu-ray uhd, mais en gravure je ne l’ai encore pas tes
semplicemente il migliore in quanto a supporto dei formati CD/DVD anche vecchi come i CD Mixed Mode (di vecchi giochi Win98 o Amiga ad esempio), laddove altri con nuova meccanica LG purtroppo NON risultano compatibili (errori) durante la creazione di immagini o la semplice lettura.
Questo modello, dotato di meccanica Pioneer BD-RW BDR-UD04 1.11, risulta perfettamente compatibile con qualsiasi formato provato, compresi i vecchi CD Mixed Mode, e non ha problemi di compatibilit con portatili gaming dove altri modelli altrettanto validi si disconnettevano per di tanto in tanto durante la visione di Blu Ray (!). Testato con ASUS GL703GS.
Risulta pertanto super-consigliato in quanto a compatibilit sia di formati CD/DVD/BD che con PC/portatili gaming un po’ schizzinosi.

Per poter vedere Blu Ray 4K UHD il vostro PC dovr OBBLIGATORIAMENTE possedere una iGPU Intel (la scheda grafica integrata nella CPU Intel, quindi obbligatoria anche la marca di CPU) oltre ad un programma come Cyberlink PowerDVD, perch solo le schede gfx Intel detengono i diritti per riprodurre il formato DRM 4K UHD. NVidia o AMD NON hanno partecipato al consorzio.
Vi avviso perch su alcuni portatili gaming per es. con G-Sync la iGPU Intel disattivata e quindi NON potrete vedere BR in 4K UHD (tutti gli altri formati BR HD o DVD funzionano).

Trs silencieux, je reste nanmoins attentif le manipuler avec prcaution,
les graveurs de cette taille avec tiroir sont forcment plus fragiles que les

Concernant le fonctionnement avec bluray UHD, je
n’ai pas pu tester autant que je l’aurai voulu car mes pc
ne sont pas adapts, mais le graveur les prends en charge
et j’arrive les ouvrir.

Der Marketplace – Hndler aus Bayern schickt dann noch eine Mail mit handfesten Hinweisen. Die originale Bedienungsanleitung ist in Englisch und etwas drftig geraten.
Wissen sollte man, dass zur Wiedergabe gekaufter BDs mit Kopierschutz noch Software ntig ist. Ich nutze unter Win 10: Cyberlink Power DVD 18 Pro und fr das Macbook pro den Macgo Blu-ray Player Pro aus dem App Store.
Alles nicht ganz billig, aber klappt eben gut und ist vergleichsweise zukunftssicher.
