ARPBEST perfection is the only way we know!

Safety Information:

  • Never look directly into any light source or sunlight as to do so could permanently damage your eyesight.
  • DO NOT disassemble the device.
  • DO NOT expose the device to high temperatures.

Tips :

  • Check out the set-up guide video on our ARPBEST store and follow the steps provided.
  • Bring viewed objects closer using the zoom focus magnification (adjustable 5-25X focus) and slowly twist the finger-type focus, until you have a clear image. Use both focus adjustments until the image is clear.
  • If you do not have a clear and full circular image, that means you need to check again and align the smartphone holder in the correct position with small movement.
  • When the monocular is used with the phone holder, make sure that the twist eyecup is closed before adding the phone mount. This will ensure the correct fitting and functionality of them when are being used together.
  • The phone holder can be used with smartphones that have multiple cameras. Align the hole phone holder to the camera that you intend to use. Then check if you have a clear image before fitting the phone holder and smartphone to the monocular telescope. Zoom in with your smartphone until you get a full image on your screen.
  • Always put on the lens caps when your monocular is not in use.
  • Where possible, hold your monocular with our strap so you will not accidentally drop it. A neck strap or lanyard is useful if you need to use both hands much of the time but want to reach your monocular quickly.
  • Never rinse your monocular under running water to clean it. Do not rinse or immerse your monocular even if it is waterproof.
  • Do not clean the lens with your fingernail. When you are out in the field, it can be tempting to scratch dirt off the lens, but this could permanently damage your monocular.
  • Clean lenses with cotton pads or a soft cloth and do not use paper towels, as the texture could scratch the lens coating.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis monocular is absolutely brilliant in all respects, it’s light, it sits in your hand nicely the price is good as well. I watch ferries and when you can see everyone on the bridge ( even see just there faces) as a ferry in entering harbour. The image is very crisp and bright.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPrompt delivery and arrived in top condition. IMHO these are 2550 as advertised and worth the price. I’m impressed and would buy them again. I can totally recommend this product from this company. The low light ability is very good in the forest and iv already found a neolithic stone circle with them nearby which I never knew existed. So glad I got this.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe live in the countryside and wished to see some of the visiting birds in closer range. We had binoculars before but found it difficult to adjust the viewer. With the monocular, it is so much easier, the objects being viewed are clear and it has improved our viewing and bird observation experience. Tips. from the vendors were equally helpful, and practical. Very pleased.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEnjoying this monocular. Bought primarily for my wife as she finds binoculars difficult to use. We live near a country park with stunning views and very diverse flora and fauna which we both can appreciate even more now. Very easy to use, and focus is a one finger operation but still firm enough to maintain the setting. Comes with a pouch which fits securely onto your belt. Very pleased.

The whole assembly is beautifully made except thr tripod which is rubbish and slips around and is not sturdy enough to use with the smart phone camera. However, the after sales service is without doubt excellent and Paul answered all my queries almost by return regardless of the time of day.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am unable to use standard binoculars due to deterioration of my vision. It is so good to be able to see details of plants and animals and I will take them on my river cruise holiday.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought for a trip to Costa Rica and took some fantastic photos while trekking in the rainforest. Most of the wildlife lives high in the trees and on a previous trip the photos were too blurry. Not this time and I didn’t need to use the smartphone holder either, just held it against my iPhone lens. A bit awkward at first, but soon got used to it and it was easier not to carry the holder around. (The toucan and sloth in the photos were easily 15-20′ away). Very pleased I bought it.

The 25×50 monocular is easy to use giving a bright clear picture and is reasonably priced.
The back lens cap unlike the front cap is not attached to the body therefore likely to be lost, and the camera clamp is awkward to set up.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPerfect for what I need. Crystal clear view and light weight. Not had the chance to use it at night yet as the range that I use closes at dusk.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is good for use as a monocular telescope
    Easy to use and lightweight
But it is not feasible to use it for taking pictures from your iPhone cos
    1. the phone housing doesn’t feel stable
    2. It would be near impossible to focus on say birds in flight etc
But it is very good as a telescope much better than binoculars

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThe photos I have attached are the view from my window with my iPhone, then with maximum magnification with my iPhone, then holding the monocular to my iPhone (without use of the supplied attachment). I have done this just to give you a sense of the power of magnification. The image I have uploaded is more blurry than what is experienced when holding the monocular to the eye.

First impressions are very good. Extremely lightweight and compact, so much so that it fits comfortably in my big pocket shorts.

Image is very crisp and clear between x5 – x10 magnification. I find that when using the maximum magnification of x25, the image becomes blurry and slightly grey. The biggest issue with using the maximum magnification is that due to handshake, the image jumps about so much that you really need to use the tripod for a stable view. Speaking of which, the tripod is good but not great. Each of the three legs bend independently so that you can raise and lower the monocular and the top swivels so you can turn it left or right but it is slightly time consuming to do so. I wish that it had a 360 degree ball pivot which would be much more intuitive to use. This would add cost to the design though. I feel I will rarely use the tripod or indeed the phone attachment. I tried once and found it exasperating to set up – but I will try again and update this review.

I used the monocular on a coastal walk and enjoyed watching birds eating bugs and a far away horse scratching its neck with ecstasy against a fence. The sweet spot of magnification for me is around x17. The image remains nice and crisp and I find I can steady my hands just enough to enjoy the magnified image. Anything over 20 loses crispness and clarity and handshake is difficult to control. I do find that practice makes perfect though.

Overall I am impressed. My partner had a go and summed it up by saying “Wow!”

For the cost, this lightweight monocular is perfect for my walks to enjoy wildlife from a distance.

    “WOW!”

This is great as a monocular. Fairly light weigh, takes up less room than a pair of traditional binoculars, and can be used one handed. Clear view and a reasonable magnification. Using with a smartphone for taking photos though is a nice gimmick but isn’t particularly easy to master.

Took a bit of practice to be able to bring up to the eye in the right position but they’re very, very good now I’ve got the knack. Only thing I couldn’t figure out was the strap attachment, but that’s not really an issue as these fit happily in a walking jacket pocket. Very good image quality and brightness, and the zoom is good but you do need to refocus a bit zooming-in (not unusual and focusing is so light and easy it’s no problem). Could also do with the eye-end lens cap being captive like the front one is. Would recommend, in fact we’re buying another soon.

It does what it’s supposed to. It’s shakey at full magnification but that’s to be expected.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLove this Monocular!
I read a few reviews of other ones and wasn’t very impressed — and then I came across this one!
The quality is excellent and I’m genuinely impressed by the follow up from ARPBEST since my initial purchase.
The zoom and the focus of this monocular is very simple to use with just a twist required.
Compared to my slightly bulky binoculars this is easy to carry around and with the belt loop on the included case it’s always at hand!
The accessories are very good quality and although I’ve never used the tripod up to now It appears to be very stable.
My only criticism of this is with regard to the smartphone adapter that enables you to connect this to your phone. The adapter on mine wouldn’t grip the monocular very well and was slightly loose.
I tracked the problem down to the bolt on the adapter being slightly too long which was letting the bolt hit the bottom of the “nut” before it was fully tight.
I took 3 to 4mm off the length of the bolt — problem solved!
This isn’t a real issue for me because I bought this to use as a monocular and not as a zoom lens for my phone!
Several years ago I had an eye operation and had an artificial lens inserted. Its set for distance vision and my binoculars aren’t as easy to focus as they used to be, particularly if someone else has been using them.
The monocular does away with that issue!
Up to now I’m thoroughly enjoying using it and in a week or so I’ll take it onto our local fells and compare it to my binoculars!
I have a feeling the binoculars will be for sale soon!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMuch easier to carry around than a pair of binoculars, the quality of the optics is very good – sharp image with no colour fringing or aberrations. Great zoom range and was surprised how close the minimum focus distance is. Excellent for bird watching/ wildlife spotting, near or far.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI got this to watch the birds in my garden, as I’m not good with binoculars.
This is great. And it has an attachment to hold your phone up to the viewing end, and take photos.
It’s lightweight, so good for taking with you anywhere.
I’ve not tried it at night yet
By the way, it came the day after ordering, followed by a helpful email explaining the finer details

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI mainly bought this for course fishing,
The telescope is well made, feels very ergonomic and easily used in one hand.
It’s light to hold, and slips into the side pocket of my rucksack.
Comes with a little tripod and and smartphone holder and very pleased with the product.

This product is a lot cheaper than many of the bigger name brands, but the build and optical quality is excellent.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this as a gift for my partner. We had been using binoculars to view birds in different locations, both here and abroad, but sometimes found them cumbersome and/or fiddly. These are much more portable and easy to adjust. We haven’t used them to take photos yet, but it seems to set up and work well. We particularly liked the ability to zoom from x5 to x25, which also gives us extra options. I had a small issue/question and they replied within minutes.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis photo was taken with my mobile using this monocular with the phone attachments and my phone zoomed in all the way. The cathedral in the photo is over 6 miles away. I’m very impressed at the detail you can get at such distances.

Example photo taken with my phone and this monocula

The monocular is the easiest optical unit I have used, very light, easy to hold and focussing quick and direct. I haven’t used the night vision but I will give 5 stars to the monocular. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have several hobbies that require optics to enhance them. I’m so used to carrying a pair of binoculars and cameras around which, as I’ve gotten older, I struggle to carry. This mini-scope is perfect in terms of being lightweight and offering a zoom facility. The bonus too is that there’s no need to try and “balance” the resolution of an image in both eyes which is necessary when using binoculars. This scope is excellent value for money and the resolution is very good. It is in my bag whenever I go out for the day. So glad I bought it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorth every penny. Even though night shots not the best, still really good, the one added you can see the nebular from the constellation of orion. The others speak for themselves. Taken with samsung s20. Not professional but unless you want that quality, it’s so much more expensive. Very happy.

Very good value for money and very happy with results. The images were taken from 130m away.

Have had a cheaper make which wasn’t near the quality of Arpbest. This is smooth to use, great imaging..not had chance to use it in the dark. Would recommend paying a bit more for far better quality.
