You know what to expect by now. It’s a ubisoft game. It plays well enough and looks good, but the formula is gettj g quite tired. I enjoyed it none the less. Good game.
Debated getting Valhalla after being disappointed with Origin and Odyssey, so ended getting it for PS5. I’m glad I did.
Graphics, gameplay, and story were brilliant. Eivor is a well developed protoganist and it’s been good following his journey through Norway and England. The Viking theme fits well in the series, with the duels, raids, and settlements making it realistic to what it was like circa 800 AD. Highly recommend if you like the Assassins Creed games.
Currently 140 hours into this behemoth of a game and still not board and that’s saying something. Valhalla can get very overwhelming at times, there are 5 different maps each peppered with lots of collectibles and side quests and especially when you get to England any fans of 100% completion might say, even this is too much for me! The England map alone is bigger than any other game I have played but having said this, everywhere looks new and refreshing. The separate maps are all very different and hold their own stories and collectibles. The small mini side quests are all different and some quite comical. Of course there are lots that are the same but the amount of variation sets it apart from other Assassins Creed games, remember you don’t have to do it!
Speaking of overwhelming this also applies to the skills tree which is huge and again has taken me 140+ hours to fill. Some of the side quests I personally didn’t like, one being a stone stacking game which is meant to be tranquil but is just frustrating as you try and place stones that can all fall down and one little wobble, especially if you have to get a certain height. The other is chasing tattoo leaflets, this is much like the old feathers that will start to fly away from you as you approach them and it uses your skills to climb, jump and chases these over roads, buildings and poles. The only issue is you can easily lose track of where they go as you fight the controls and your character can climb instead of run through which can spoil a good run.
The extra maps can be sold as DLC they hold so much stuff to do that I am shocked they are part of the main game. England alone is bigger and has more to do than most other games alone. This and river raids and separate challenges really give you a lot to do for your money.
The story isn’t brilliant, every area pretty much ends doing the same thing and those who have collected everything in the area will find themselves overpowered very early on. There isn’t many times I died in this game and those were only when I didn’t heal in time not because I ran out of healing.
I liked the character (you can select male of female at the start, each with their own voices), I loved the map and I tolerated the story. This has got to be one of the best value for money games I have played in recent years. There is paid for DLC but this game will give you more than what you pay for it specially if you are buying now.
Good game, but it is unbelievable that nowadays there is no possible way to download any kind of audio or at least subtitles in languages other than the default ones. I would have liked to play it with Spanish subtitles but it’s not possible. It only includes audio and subtitles in English and Russian.
Picked it up over Xmas for Ps5 (Amazon had it for a great price).
It’s a solid and fun game, for those both familiar and new to the series. Well produced and continues to provide many hours of gameplay.
I kind of went off assassins creed after origins and odyssey but this is one of the best ones I’ve played. Not really an assassins creed game but if you like massive open worlds you’ll love this
I was a bit put off by all the negative reviews but I can say I honestly love this game.
I have always enjoyed playing AC but was never the biggest fan however when I heard they were releasing one about vikings I was excited as I’m a big Viking fan.
The visual are stunning and gameplay is great. Fight scenes are a little boring at the start but become more complex as you unlock more moves.
The story so far is very classic Viking which I love however the voice and expressions of the main character lacks a little depth.
Great game, best played in 60hz quality mode imo rather than 120hz as the quality is a little better and you don’t really notice the difference, great at the discounted price
First game I bought for my ps5 , graphics are great gameplay and story is great too ,lots of hours in length I’m lvl 300 and still not finished it , definitely worth the money ,if you like Vikings you will love this !
Je l’ai ressue avant le jour prvue de la livraison, pas cass trs bien protg et en trs bonne tat,jeu aussi en franais donc parfait,je trouve l’article parfait:)
Excellent game but watch out for a major bug that won’t let you get platinum. The mystery is the ‘milk of human kind’, so watch youtube beforehand so that you don’t get stuck like I did.
I didn’t think I’d love an assassins game better than black flag. But here it is. This game has a massive open world, lots and lots of content, great story and characters and a lot of rpg stuff.
The game has a couple bugs so far but nothing major.
Graphics on the ps5 are breathtaking to the point I was stopping just to admire the views.
Combat is also the best in any assassins, especially on the hardest difficulty. And the different weapons actually make a huge difference. Also the collectibles are useful this time around for upgrades and such.
Valhalla is an absolutely massive game which will eat up a massive amount of hours in your life. There is so much to do and so much to see. The game is breathtakingly beautiful, and looks superb on the PlayStation 5. As the game has been out for a few months now, the majority of bugs have been fixed. There used to be a lot of bugs initially, such as characters speaking with their lips not moving, but thankfully the patches have worked, so worrying about bugs should not be a concern.
The story is good. Character development is good and you feel really attached to certain characters the more you play. Side missions can be a lot of fun.
However, what at first seems like a fun viking experience, quickly becomes very repetitive. The gameplay is the same throughout, the raids you do, the boss battles you have, having played over 100 hours of this game, battling with the enemy gets very repetitive. It is still fun, but each raid doesn’t feel unique and feels copy and pasted.
There probably are an unnecessary amount of alliances to achieve throughout the game. The game splits into a variety of different areas in England, with you Eivor, going to each region to create an alliance with your clan. Some of these alliances are very interesting, whereas others feel as though they are just there to delay time for the story.
One thing I will say is the game does not have a proper ending which is a major blow. You play for so many hours, yet at the end without spoiling anything, there is no final end scene, credits roll, nothing. You do the last main mission then the game continues like nothing happened, and that sucks.
You will enjoy this game if you play it, you will eat up many hours playing this and you will have fun. But you will get bored at times and you will be left disappointed by something that is good, but could have been a whole lot better.
Bought as a present. Has had some very good reviews from that person. He really enjoys the game. A long game with quite a few side missions so money well spent!
A game about vikings and I live in the area it’s set. Missus loves it but I can’t help but notice that Bury and stowmarket are in the wrong places. But in reality it’s great.
I have this game on both my PC and now my new PS5. On my PC, I am able to get a locked 60fps with all settings at Ultra at 1440p. On the PS5, there is also a 60fps option although it tends to go below that during intense moments. I think this 60fps mode is great and all, but I think playing this game at 4K @ 30fps is nicer to me as I love the visuals of lush England and Norway. I think the 4K resolution does well at showing off the buildings, the views from the hills and also just looks far cleaner on a 4K TV.
As for the game itself, it is brilliant. Once you get to England everything opens up and its up to you how you want to tackle missions. I somewhat agree that the old Odyssey/Origins formula is still present in the game, although enough has been done to change how you tackle the game. I think what tends to put people of these Ubisoft games is the length and the scale of the maps. I don’t think these people will have a good time here, seeing as there is a lot of map to explore and it is ultimately up to you to take your time. Patience is virtue.
Fortunately, I think this game has got me hooked enough so that I can sink my teeth into it properly and enjoy it for what it is. The PS5 version of this game is superior to the PC version in my opinion. It is a stuttering mess for my PC so I am glad I got the PS5 version.
Absolutely love this game graphically stunning with ray tracing on the playstation 5. Massive open world areas to explore historic England, America, Norway the map is Absolutely enormous. Over 140hrs of gameplay for 50 seriously wouldnt have bought any other game fantastic addition to the assassins creed franchise it builds on the RPG gameplay set out in odyssey and origins but builds on it to make it a refreshing take in the sega. Would highly recommend.
Great game. With all that pillaging it’s really a game about Nordic stag parties in the uk.
You know what to expect by now. It’s a ubisoft game. It plays well enough and looks good, but the formula is gettj g quite tired. I enjoyed it none the less. Good game.
So far so good are my impressions.
I like the story, how big the maps are and how it all blends together,
I would recommend this game.

I was a fan of all the old style Assassin’s creed but fell off after blackflag definitely better then i had expect it to be in the end

One of the best games, I have played at first I was sceptical due to me not liking Black flag but the story on valhalla has hooked me.
This item was purchased as a gift so cannot really provide a review
Came very quickly. No doubt the game is going to be fantastic I’m very happy with my purchase thank you

I hope you found my review helpful.
This can play by any body don’t matter how age you perfect for kid magical

Lovely game. I spend to long playing it.
Wife is on my case.
Amazing game would highly recommend for any fan of assassin’s creed or even not an assassin’s creed fa

Bought as a gift for my boyfriend. He loves the game.
Fairly generic AC, but a decent game and concept. Takes a while to get into, but quite enjoyable.
Excellent game but watch out for a major bug that won’t let you get platinum. The mystery is the ‘milk of human kind’, so watch youtube beforehand so that you don’t get stuck like I did.

I bought this for my other half and she couldn’t stop playing it, graphics are brilliant and story’s are immersive
My bro loves it. I bought him this as a birthday present then surprised him with a ps5 later on. He was made up 🙂
Good game, only let down is that I expect better graphics (people) for a ps5 game
Better than Odyssey. I prefer Greek stuff, especially kleftico, and dolmades, but this beat the kraken right out of it.
Playing as Aleister Black is always a bonus.
Bonus poem:
Thor the god of thunder,
Sat upon his filly,
“I’m Thor” he cried,
His horse replied,
“Where’th your thaddle, thilly?”.
Have fun.
Bought this immediately after completing odyssey. Beautiful story and visuals
