Un juego exclusivo para la Nintendo Switch por parte de Platinum Games, el mismsimo creador de la saga Bayonetta, la plante un status de calidad en el gnero hack & slash. A continuacin comento lo bueno y lo malo en cuanto a mi opinin:
**Lo bueno**
-Los diseos de los personajes, ambientacin y enemigos, hablando en trminos visuales, son un deleite, no se podra esperar ms de Platinum Games.
-El juego est completamente entero en el cartucho, tampoco hay actualizaciones que descargar, por lo que no va a consumir ningn espacio en nuestra MicroSD.
-El juego cuenta con voice acting, tanto en ingls como japons.
-El juego es bastante largo, a pesar que solo son 12 captulos, el gameplay sumado para completar en juego por primera vez lleva alrededor de 30+ horas.
-Los elementos RPG para aumentar las habilidades de las legions (que son los monstruos que nos ayudan en la historia) son definitivamente geniales.
-A pesar que slo se necesitan 2 botones para realizar ataques y combos, la fluidez en el combate en cuanto a controles se refiere funciona de maravilla; como nota, esto no quiere decir que las batallas sean aburridas, al contrario, hay quick events en las batallas y movimientos especiales que realizndolos adecuadamente se pueden formar combos muy satisfactorios.
-En el juego se toma el rol de una persona que pertenece a la polica, por tanto, el gameplay se ampla bastante, de tal forma que no todo es batallas, sino que se realizan tareas secundarias y primarias en donde se ayuda a otras personas sin necesidad de pelear. ste aspecto esta genial desde mi perspectiva, a otras personas podra parecerles un lado dbil en el juego por no ser 100% hack & slash.
-La historia est plagada de clichs y se puede predecir fcilmente, an as, es una caracterstica del juego que me mantuvo enganchado.
-En cuando a rejugabilidad, tiene bastante, lo cual le da un plus al “full price” que cuesta ste juego; muy apreciado por los jugadores que quieren completar el 100% del juego.
**Lo malo**
-Independientemente del voice acting que se est usando (ingls o japons) las animaciones de las bocas de los personajes en los dilogos no estn sincronizadas con el audio.
-Una caracterstica del gameplay es que cuenta con mecnicas de plataformeo; y es aqu donde uno se da cuenta de uno de los ms grandes problemas del juego: Para pasar de una plataforma a otra, uno tiene que enviar a la legion en la plataforma a la que se quiere llegar, luego se presiona ZR para que la legion nos jale con la cadena a tal plataforma, lo cul es extremadamente tedioso: muchas veces caeremos al precipicio tratando de conseguir el plataformeo adecuado en el Astral Plane.
-Hay un modo de vista que se activa con el botn ‘+’ llamado IRIS, en este modo los grficos cambian a manera de scanner, ayudando a encontrar pistas, misiones y objetos escondidos. El problema es que la brillantez y/o contraste de los grficos mientras IRIS est activo, afecta a los ojos (hablando en mi experiencia personal).
-Hay muchos momentos en el juego donde vemos lineas rojas delgadas atravesando la pantalla, lo cul se puede percibir como baja calidad de juego en el rea visual; en especial en los captulos 9, 10 y 11.

This game is too underrated, and too much of a gem to not have a rep in Smash Ultimate! Joking aside (not really joking, I sincerely wanted the rep!) this game is worth every penny. A Nintendo Switch Exclusive that throws a wrench in the norms, and gives you something fresh and cool!

Literally the most enjoyable game I have ever played the combat system is really fun and you have a lot of abilities to unlock equip and use even so you have skill tree abilities such as spinning around before you take out your chimera and they’ll do a special attack there are so many I can’t remember them all, then even after that you can use some equipables such as call out shockwave damage.
It is more what I expected. In addition to the complex and satisfactory Hack and Slash playability, there is a lot more: search, investigation… All this taking place in wonderful settings and excellent graphics. A must have on the Switch.

Quite enjoyed the story and combat picks up fairly well. Soundtrack is great and the game runs well on the switch.
Baught for my partner, he has given it the 5 stars, he was wanting it for ages before we finally got it not sure if it would be everyone’s cup of tea. I even enjoyed helping him figure out the riddles and problem solving.

Just finished file 11 of Astral Chain and I must say that the game is well worth it price point just don’t think about being anything like bayonetta or nier. As it’s own standalone game I’m impressed with platinum games in creating this ip along with Nintendo. Just from the gameplay & story was well thought out from using the legions (stands) to the actual characters & its actions & platforming sections itself for being on the #NintendoSwitch i can’t wait to see what’s next from a sequel in this cyberpunk-persona series from platinum games.
Story has been engaging with good development. I have a few small qualms with the game from a story development standpoint, but it is one of the best games I’ve ever played on the Switch. For being a Switch exclusive, it is well worth the buy!

I can’t express how great this game is. Action, world setting, mechanics, this game does them all justice!
It’s about 25-35 hours long if you just do the story, but if you’re interested in the extra content and even doing achievements in the game, you can go north of 80 hours.
We need more actions like this on the Switch. I really do hope we get a 2nd game in the series.
This is definitely one of the games you should be playing on your Switch. The graphics and fighting style in this game gets you hooked. I hope theirs a sequel

I’m about 4-5 hours in the game. I love the visuals, customisation and the fast paced scenes are great! The main story is engaging and the side missions are good too. I usually don’t care to play side missions in games but the world is super engaging so makes me want to explore more. I like both turn based and non-turn based combat games but personally, I don’t enjoy the combat system. Its confusing trying to control my character and the legion at the same time but thankfully there is an “unchained” mode that makes it much easier. Other than that, I’m really enjoying the game!
Realy enjoyed this game from start to finish. I liked having the option to customise my characters clothes and colours too. You can even change the colours of your conpanion too. Great game.

Non do 5 stelle perch il gioco sottotono rispetto alla trama; certo un action e le pretese non possono essere alte! Eppure avrei gradito una cura maggiore, magari nella creazioni dei rapporti tra personaggi pi solidi. Dal punto di vista della grafica, vi un ottimo lavoro dietro. Difficilmente troverete un gioco per la switch migliore. Infine, il gameplay davvero ben fatto, fluido e dinamico. Se siete appassionati del genere, un must buy

By this point, everything that can be said about this game has been said. It’s Anime the Game, it’s made by Platinum Games (who do their best work with Nintendo), and it’s pretty fun. Takes a while to get used to the controls, but I’d say it’s worth it.

Great game! Can’t believe it took me so long to buy it. Top 10 for the Switch.
I really want to give this game a 4 star but I just can’t. I love the aesthetic, the originality, the flashy combos. Yes the story was a bit predictable but still loved learning about the characters and such. Hopefully they’ll emphasise the story more if they commit to a sequel.
Honestly the most fun I’ve have had playing a console game in years, maybe since Zelda BoTW.

Great gameplay, lovely graphic style, lots of stuff to collect, customise your legions as you progress through the game. Me the big kid and the boy are really enjoying this. It’s fun. Just be mindful that Bayonetta it ain’t, so forget what you know about those games (if you’ve played them) and get into something new. Of course there are similarities, but what’s the point in not creating something new when devs have better resources to play with!?! Anyway, that’s our take on it. Recommend for those who don’t mind learning curves that pay off enabling an entertaining, action adventure gameplay experience!
Game is amazing! Will not regret purchase. Very fun fighting mechanics and is a great game that needs more attention. Game was in perfect condition on arrival.

Wow I wasn’t expecting a game to be like this! I thought it would be similar to God Eater 3, but this is a fully story-driven action JRPG and it’s AMAZING. I can’t say I’ve been choked up playing a game in a long time! You just get so attached to your characters, the story is gripping! The combat is slick! Fantastic game, a must to buy on the Switch!

Really enjoyable original game. Once you have learnt how to use your legion the battles are fantastic.
The company should be an easy give away as to how good this game is. What blown me away was the fact it was made a switch exclusive. It is by far one games I’ve played in 2019, and if like me you’re the type of gamer who loves doing every side quest and collecting every item, the game has lots of content and takes a good chunk of time to complete. Even if you decided not to do that, the game would still take a day or two to complete. It also has after story content. Controlling the character and the legion can be a slight learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it feels extremely achieving. Definitely would recommend to anyone, switch owner and non-switch owners alike (it’s good enough to just buy a switch for it I would say)
This game is highly entertaining. You are literally an anime protagonist. Last boss was difficult.
What a game!! Looks and plays beautiful with some stunning combat and character upgrades. The story is way out there but this doesn’t detract from the great action.

PlatinumGames has once again knocked it out of the park by delivering a stellar action game with an original twist to the formula. Highly recommended, especially for those that want something a bit different.

It’s slow to get into it. Much of the first part of the game felt like a very long tutorial – for me personally, that limited my desire to replay missions.
I wanted to love it the same way as I do the Bayonetta / Devil May Cry series, but it left me feeling a little cold…didn’t feel much of an attachment to any of the characters either, which is something I usually hope for in a game. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s how my brain works. This is more of an “Avatar” game – you can make your character look however you want them to with lots of hair and skin colour options (more as you unlock them) – which is certainly a nice feature. It is a very well made game – high quality and worth playing.
There is nothing else like Astral Chain. It is the ultimate stylish action game with its mix of style, swag and total badassery

Great game, while it plays a little differently to Devil May Cry or Platinum’s own Bayonetta series once you become accustomed to it you’ll be hacking and slashing your way through the digital demon hoards. Graphics are terrific for a Switch title and while the 30fps gameplay isn’t quite up to the split second 60fps responsiveness of Bayonetta on Switch, it’s good enough. It’s a long game too, I’ve clocked up over 30 hours without doing all the optional missions. There are a few frustrating bugs in the game, such as a twitchy camera that has a habit of getting stuck pointing the wrong way and your own character getting snagged and falling off ledges during the platform sections. However they’re really only minor. A great showcase for the Switch.

As anime as a video game can get, ridiculous characters, over the top dialogue, a farfetched scifi premise, and I loved every single moment of it.

Fantastic game a must for all switch owners , really fun silly plot but the gameplay is unique and keeps you coming back.
Plot wise I can’t say its anything new, but the villain is really interesting, makes you wonder who is actually in the right between your sketchy commander and Jena. The gameplay is quite innovative but it does take some used to control wise, I keep dodging instead of attacking since i’m used to the B button being assigned as attack. Needs just some getting used to. I wish it was a bit more character background/arc heavy.

Great game, probably Platinum games best yet. Fans of Bayonetta should certainly take note. Combat is fast and frantic, with the various Legions you have adding loads of different options to deal with the variety of opponents you’ll be facing. Artstyle is beautiful, a cell shaded anime style and has some rather cool moments. One I’d recommend!
Fantastic game with a surprising amount of depth to the combat. Initially I thought I would just be mashing one attack button, but a combination of different buttons, timings, and controlling your legion is required to fully utilise all the mechanics.
Enjoyable story so far, with plenty of side missions that don’t just feel like fetch quests and that make you want to go back and complete them.

Very unique adventure game from the makers of NieR. Both intuitive and engrossing, the only thing I’d recommend is changing the audio to Japanese and having subtitles. Not a fan of the English voiceover. But man, what a crazy game. Part detective, part all-out action, this game can not be called boring. It’s unique, sublime and well worth playing.
This game looks incredible, has an interesting concept, and engaging action; well worth the purchase.
Played 7hrs so far and can say this game is absolutely brilliant! A fusion of Platinums games roled up all into one great package with fresh ideas on the genre.

Astral Chain is directed by the insanely talented, ace of PlatinumGames Takahisa Taura who was the lead game designer on NieR: Automata. The creator of Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, the legendary Hideki Kamiya was also heavily involved as the project supervisor. The beautiful character designs you see were drawn by the famous Manga artist Mazakazu Katsura.
All this leads to a fresh creative take on the action genre. PlatinumGames have knocked it out of the park with this one.

As of writing this review I have played roughly 5 hours of this game, so this isnt an in-depth review, but for someone who is thinking about buying the game.
If you like Police games, Action Adventure games, Sci-Fi games, or anything like that, you are doing yourselves a massive dis-service by not playing this Title. It has all the above, including a great cast of characters and lore to dig in.
Combat not quite as fast as bayonetta/nier but still good. Also please recycle!
This game is absolutely stunning in both handheld and tv mode. Gameplay is really addictive and unique, gobsmacked
Astral Chain is a more simple platinum game than either Bayonetta or Vanquish with light RPG mechanics and a great visual style.
As an entry point to Platinum style action games this is perfect with engaging but simple combat and an amazing soundtrack.
Would recommend to everyone although hardcore fans of other platinum games may feel the combat is a little simplified when compared to the likes of MGR Revengence or Bayontta, Although Astral Chain seems to be doing it’s own thing and that’s Great.
