    Spedizione Amazon impeccabile come sempre.

    Ottimo microfono pencil

    This mic is really good.
Noise level is our of this world low.
Pretty good sounds and construction quality. Having compared these with akg p170, this one is much much better, significantly better return level, hence way less noise. I’m getting a second one to try a stereo setup.

I wanted another mic mainly for recording my acoustic guitar only and having spent a good week or so looking which one would fit the bill for my budget this one stood out and appealed to me the most. I’ve had the Audio Technica AT2020 for a few years now and it really is an outstanding mic, and even though I use it mainly as my vocal mic, it’s perfectly suitable and capable of recording my acoustic guitar as well. But having seen some videos of people using both a vocal mic and a guitar mic I honestly felt I could achieve a better recording by having the two, and I cannot say I am disappointed in my recent purchase of the Audio Technica AT2031.

Unlike the AT2020 the AT2031 has higher frequencies to it’s range, it’s used mainly to record the cymbals on a drum kit and can do that job very well and is a widely popular mic used for that purpose alone. But it’s also a very useful mic for recording stringed instruments such as the acoustic guitar and piano and does not fail to disappoint in those areas either. But if your looking for a mic to record your vocals with. The AT2031 is not that suitable for that purpose at all, and will not do what the AT2020 will do, which is handle both very well.

Overall the Audio Technica AT2031 is a very good mic for the money. The build construction is solid being housed in steel and it’s got a great slim sleek pencil like design which is suitable for pointing at and recording your acoustic guitar. It also offers an higher frequency range which is very well more suitable for recording acoustic guitars. Price wise it’s perhaps in the low budget bracket in comparison to more professional mics to which you can pay thousands for, but do not be put off by it’s price because even at it’s retail price of 115 I personally think you are getting a bit more than that for the money. Amazon beat the other competitors in market and I was well pleased with getting it for 89 here which is a bargain. The mic also comes with the AT8405A Snap-in Microphone Stand Clamp which alone retails at 11 and a soft protective pouch for easy storage and transport.

Gets 5 Gold Stars from me, simply for doing a great job and if your in the market for good budget mic. I can highly recommend the Audio Technica AT2031.

    Consigliato.

I bought this mic last Christmas. Still amazes me with the pureness of the sound it captures.
It can handle very loud SPL levels, without distortion.
The other amazing thing about this mic is the incredibly low self noise.

I have used it on camera with a Professional HD Camera, and it was far superior to the supplied
    mic.
If you want a good all round mic and don’t want to spend a fortune, you will not be disappointed
    with the AT2031.

I see this is now 30 cheaper than when I bought it, think I will buy another one!
