This system has worked well since purchasing a couple of years ago, it was very easy to fit. I have the camera at the back of my 27 foot caravan and the screen in my car at it works perfectly. I have it wired through the running lights so on all the time when towing, so I can see who’s behind and it’s great when reversing
The product is good. Used in a Peugeot Boxer XLWB. At first the car charging port did not work, I contacted the company and as the product has a warranty I was sent a new one straight away with excellent customer service from Gigi at auto-vox. The new port does work but it can be temperamental and you have to find the right spot for it to work, which can be frustrating. If you could somehow wire it into the cab that would be better – I’m going to look into this. However I am happy with the camera and the image is clear and concise.
Well worth getting one, easy to install and works well. Clear picture which appears as soon as reverse gear engaged, with good guide lines on the screen which can be tuned as preferences. Sender unit is at tailgate end of my (covered) truck bed and it creates a clear picture at the monitor stuck to the windscreen.
Turned out I had a faulty camera so when I contacted the service team at auto-vox (dealt with Gigi) they were superb. To cut a long story we managed to get a replacement camera in a few days, at no extra cost for me, and now it’s working brilliantly.
Spent ages looking at the many different options, this one had the best reviews, I checked other sites to be sure. I wanted one that I could remove from the car easily. I hard wired it and soldered a 2 pin mini plug, so I can now plug in and then mount to the bracket which I used a different one that I had and modified to fit my fuse cover which on the Astra K is on the front dash where you can see it mounted in the picture. Wiring in the camera was easy and took about an hour as I was making sure to hide the hole behind the number plate, the got the cable through the grommet into the boot and wired it into my reverse light cable. Worked first time. Very happy with it!
No set up problems, very easy. Usual hassles of routing wires but one less to route with this camera system as camera and screen linked by WiFi
Brilliant piece of kit. I did have a problem with the first one. However their customer service was brilliant and the replacement was send out with out any problems. Everything is working brilliantly now.
Received the kit and installed . Was a little tricky due to the car needing an additional wire to make it work. ( may not be the case for everyone ) But got there in the end and all is fine ! Had to drop the number plate down so the camera didn’t restrict the plate itself and keep it legal. Helps having someone fit it who has knowledge with this sort of thing otherwise I wouldn’t of been able to do it. Mount and holder that came with the kit fits but the sticky side isn’t sticky enough to hold the weight of the monitor too. Would of been good to get some dash cleaner wipes and suction adhesive to help included in the box. All in all a good buy.
From camera to monitor is just over 35′, so considering this is a wireless system I rate it as excellent. The guidelines are narrower than the caravan, but I got used to them and allow for the difference or they can be switched off. Overall very pleased.

Easy to install, I had an issue after about 2 months, their customer service was fast and resolved. Very helpful.
Night vision is not the best despite the claims it gets very grainy as the light drops.
The adjustment on the camera for the angle of view will not stay fixed set it once and glue it in
place works for me.
The monitor has a good display and is light enough to mount with double sided tape. The power lights. Are not intrusive.
For the price it works and gives a useful rear view.
I would buy this again if needed.
As a footnote the supplier contacted me and resolved the issues I had so I have updated my review.
Still a great product and I would definitely buy again even more so now the couple of issues have been resolved.
Works well and the wireless camera saves a lot of fiddly cabling as I have installed mine on a ford transit van.
This is my second back up camera from autovox, the first being on my caravan. This time I’ve added the camera inside my VW T6 van and it looks through ‘limo black’ window tint which renders the rear view mirror completely useless. I’m very pleased to say that the camera work very well giving me a good view out of the back window despite the tinting. Whilst the resolution is relatively low, hence 4 stars, it works perfectly well and cannot be faulted for its brightness, wireless connectivity and overall simplicity, especially at this price.
I use this camera as a rear view mirror when towing my daughter’s Ministox on the trailer and it makes driving so much easier when overtaking and being overtaken. Then, when manoeuvring in the pits and parking it’s a lot better for judging distances to walls, parked cars and errant spectators wandering around.
Installed on the rear offside corner of the trailer it gives a good clear view, and is even pretty good at night when it’s raining heavily. It’s not HD, but doesn’t need to be, as even with rain glare from headlights behind you still know where something is behind.
Easy to install, just tap into two wires with the supplied connectors, then screw, or tape the camera into place. Plug the monitor in to the tow vehicle’s 12v socket and job done. Fully wireless works over our required 10m distance with no problems.
We did have a small issue at one point when the unit was 10 months old, but the customer service and speed of response and resolution was excellent.
I would happily recommend both the camera and customer service experience.

This is an excellent camera with a really clear picture. The customer service is also excellent. I have had contact with a customer service advisor called GiGi on several occasions & they were very helpful & knowledgeable
Easy to install once you figure out the revering wires. Great picture and works well. Only down side is the little screw’s keep coming loose so have to keep checking and tightening up unless you glue the screw’s or something.
I had a bit of an issue when the unit stopped working – Gigi at AutoVox sorted it for me and sent me a new unit. Everything is now working as it should. I can’t fault their customer service, it was quick, polite and solved the issue. I’m happy to give the unit and AutoVox 5 stars.
Fitted the camera and initially it worked fine but a few months in it developed a fault. I went back to the company and they were brilliant and surpassed all my expectations, so helpful and quick to send out replacements. Great service *****
Previously I had the solar powered version but repeated problems with water damaging the solar rechargeable battery I had to ditch it. The supplier didn’t hesitate to replace the batteries when they packed up. Excellent service. However I decided to install this model operated from the reversing light power supply and it is excellent. Impressive and knowledge that the supplier will help if there are problems gives confidence.
One year further on – After writing the above – extended use and regular car washes the unit is still working reliably. I find it has become indispensable and would thoroughly recommend this model worth the initial effort of wiring it directly into the reversing light circuit.

* The display is of a good size, little need to squint
* Other than issues around routing wires (which would be the same irrespective of the unit used) it is very simple and logical to wire in.
Dislikes:
* The camera is larger than expected (approx d3cm, w3.5cm, h2.5cm) so it is very obvious when mounted above the number plate. I have motorcycle ‘dash cams’ which are smaller, and with the same FOV.
* Picture quality is poor, although fit for purpose
* The actual display unit looks fine from a distance, but close up it is cheap and horrible. Very low grade plastic.
* Picture contrast and brightness are not automatic, time will reveal how much of an issue this is
* being a larger screen does make it more of a challenge to identify a convenient location if you don’t wish to sucker it to the windscree
Nice neat compact item sits on the dash or should i say just above it fixed to wind screen . Does exactly what it says on the tin very clear picture quality . Very happy with my purchase . Arrived very quickly .Many thanks .
I fitted it on my 37ft long boat so being longer than the average vehicle I had concerns about the wireless connection.
I received an email before the item arrived saying to contact Technical Help if there were any connection problems so natually my heart sank but I am happy to say it was all good straight out of the box.
