Not complicated at all, once the simple installation instructions are followed, you know the headphones are working. Just press the center button next to the battery USB charging cable while having at least one of the ear plugins to heard "TURNED ON", and no waiting for "PAIRING", or anything...you are on and quickly discarding all other private listening gadgets. Congratulations!

Like that they were easy to set up, instructions for use very clear. Provides ease of movement around your house and still allow you to listen to TV without having the volume too loud for others. As I have said in book reviews, I don’t like giving five stars because many people (I am one of them) don’t believe they are true reviews. But I would give this product 100 stars. I was actually able to connect them to my TV (I am 77) by myself! I just turned off CC on my TV. I Can understand what the play callers are saying (watching football). No, the sound isn’t the same as if I were watching the game without this product (mainly Because I wouldn’t be able to understand them), but I can deal with anything if I can understand what people are saying. Please trust me, BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Multi connessione
Facilissime da installare, possibile decidere quale tipo di connessione utilizzare, rendendolo di fatto compatibile con tutti i modelli di televisore, anche quelli pi datati. Inizialmente ho utilizzato la porta Digital audio ma i canali Mediaset, per qualche oscuro motivo che dovr approfondire, non riuscivo ad utilizzare l’audio digitale quindi ho cambiato connessione e tutti i canali funzionano perfettamente senza il minimo disturbo o ritardo audio. Il prezzo per sovrastima eccessivamente il reale valore del prodotto..

Usato da una persona novantenne con l’83% di sirdit, non riusciva ad ascoltare la tv anche ad alto volume, con queste cuffie abbiamo risolto il problema, sente bene e le tiene tutto il giorno, ottima durata di carica.

I'm glad they supplied the different sized cones since the small and the medium kept falling out of my ears. Those cones are quite difficult to change. Even with the large cones they're not that secure, but putting the U shaped band behind your neck helps in that regard. Battery life seems quite good and the connection after power on is very fast unlike others I've used.

A long awaited headset solutio
I recently bought a Samsung TV which I thought had Bluetooth and neither did it have a headphone jack. I had another Bluetooth headset which was big and bulky and wouldn’t connect without a headphone jack.
This little beauty was simple. Plug the optic cable into your TV and the small unit, pair the device by holding the pair button for 3 seconds and bingo.
The headset is light, sounds fine and sits comfortably in the ear.

I am slightly deaf and have tried a number of ways of hearing the television clearly. These are, without doubt, the best I have had. They are comfortable and the sound from them is excellent and of sufficient volume. I can also arrange for the tv internal speaker to be on at the same time as the headphones so that someone else can watch the same programme. So far I am delighted with them and hope that they continue to produce excellent results.
These are great for when my family goes to bed and I want to stay up playing games or watching TV. I also really like that the power is via USB, so I don’t have to worry about charging the base. You do have to watch the battery level on the ear pieces and there is no way to know what percent battery power they are at. I have another headset that I use with my phone that says “battery is low/moderate/full” when you turn them on that I find super convenient. The volume control is a little difficult as well because level 1 is just loud enough and level 2 is a bit too loud depending on what I’m doing/watching. It would be nice to have a little more granularity in the volume selection. Note that is is using the digital optical output from a Samsung TV.

Well worth the money and time
I am very pleased with this second Avantree HT4186 Wireless Headphones with ear buds. The only drawback for me is there is no separate volume control for each ear, as I am 40% deaf in one ear and mostly good in the other. We also ordered the earbuds to try but they don’t fit into the ear canal, only flush with the outer ear, which makes it hard for me to hear low dialog in movies. The battery life is very good no interruption in my TV watching, and it only takes 1.5 to 2.5 hrs. for a complete charge depending on usage.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and do recommend them for great TV watching especially when the Mrs. is on the telephone, I can mute the TV so she can hear while I’m listening to the program (Sports).

Seul le prix semble un peu lev pour une technologie matrise (pas d’innovations) et par rapport d’autres appareils lectroniques plus complexes et plus volumineux (hauts parleurs autonomes, mobiles pas chers …).

I bought these earphones as ,being elderly, I have problems hearing speech on some programmes and background music tends to obliterate the spoken dialog. These earphones are brilliant and solved the problem. The product is easy to set up and the earphones are very comfortable. Also, no matter what volume is set on the TV, for others who may be watching, I can control my own volume on the earphones. So nice to walk about the house and still hear the TV. The sound is so clear and I don’t miss out on what is being said. Wonderful!
I found the earphones a bit high pitched at first but I got used to them.
They work. Connection seems ok. A little high pitched. Also a slight lag if you turn the sound up on the tv.
Which means you can’t have the sound on the tv because of the echo.
My dad uses them in his bedroom at night. He is fine with them the rest of the house can sleep at night now!

C’est le deuxime appareil que j’achte (car deux tls) donc j’en suis fort contente. La mise en route est hyper simple, les connectiques sont nombreuses donc correspondent beaucoup de tlviseurs. Le son est trs bon et la liaison Bluetooth performante puisque je l’entends de toutes les pices dans un appartement de 100m2 compos de deux appartements fusionns, avec donc des murs pais sparant certaines pices. Il est lger, je l’oublie la plupart du temps. Les bouchons proposs eux aussi visent s’adapter toutes les oreilles.
Le SAV est bon… si vous savez l’anglais car aucun change crit ou oral n’est fait dans une autre langue donc je vends en France mais je ne vais pas me casser la tte traduire ! J’ai utilis les traducteurs en ligne mais je trouve que c’est un manque de respect du consommateur, assez bon pour acheter mais pas suffisamment respect pour lui faciliter la vie.
Deuxime reproche, le second appareil a pris 10 en un an et l je voulais faire un cadeau et il a encore pris 10 en un an. 20 sur deux ans. Si seulement nos salaires suivaient le mme rythme, je retournerais travailler. Les calculs d’augmentation ne semblent pas correspondre l’augmentation du cot des matires mais plus une politique systmatique qui consiste dire “Le client apprcie le produit donc on peut y aller”.
Destination de cet achat pour mon Papa de 86 ans qui a des problmes de surdit et qui veut continuer regarder la TV sans dranger son entourage . Appareil install par lui-mme et donc petit regret que le manuel d’installation n’est pas de descriptif en Franais. Mon pre a russi se guider avec les schmas de la notice MAIS le premier essai via la prise optique n’a pas donn pleine satisfaction, volume trop faible dans les couteurs du casque et pour lui les embouts des couteurs ( les 2 jeux) sont trop gros pour l’orifice de ses oreilles ( il a vraiment de tout petits trous d’oreilles).
Ne voulant pas rester sur un chec et sachant trs bien que je serais due de pas lui avoir trouv le bon appareil, il a reprit toute l’installation depuis le dbut et essay plusieurs rglages TV / dcodeur satellite / couteur du casque, volumes divers et diffrents sur chaque appareil et FINALEMENT , il a russit trouver SON propre bon rglage. Un pre fier d’avoir russit malgr son age et pas trs au fait des nouvelles technologies.
Je suggre donc au fabricant de fournir une notice dans la langue de l’acheteur et de dtailler au maximum les diffrentes configurations d’installation qui seraient utiles aux utilisateurs.
Mi madre, persona mayor de 80 aos, y que ya tiene problemas de audicin, lo utiliza para escuchar la tv. Utiliza este sistema porque su TV no dispone de Bluethooth. La alternativa eran los famosos cascos que van sobre la cabeza y son bastante incomodos, ella est muy contenta porque adems puede regular el volumen de audicin con los casquitos y baja el volumen de la TV que no necesita. Son muy comodos, no pesan nada ya que el soporte queda sobre los hombros en la base del cuello y el emisor que se conecta a la TV , viene dotado de diferentes tipos de conexin de forma que vale para cualquier televisor, es adems muy pequeo. La carga de los cascos es por un cable usb que si el televisor tiene salida usb , se puede dejar conectado para simplemente cuando se agote la batera de los auriculares, que dura bastantes horas, se conecte y se cargue con facilidad. Repito, muy cmodo y fcil de usar para una persona mayor.
You won't get two years use out of them
These are the best high quality entry level TV headphones my wife has tried. They have never lasted longer than 15 to 18 months max. The wiring to the earbuds is too fine, so it won’t be long before one of them fails. Fortunately they come with a two year warranty. And every year we have replaced them the price has gone up considerably. But still better value than the best of the best.

They are nice and light and easy to wear, unlike the ear muff type of headphones. You can put the lead around your neck and just get up easily to get something. Superior quality

This is a first-day review. I would usually wait, but I am so pleased with the easy setup that I am making an exception. I will update if there are down-the-road surprises. This package is nicely designed and clearly Avantree doesn’t want you to fail due to lack of cables. Every angle is covered.
Charging the headset isn’t mentioned until later in the start-up instructions, but it seemed prudent to start with a charged headset so I charged it. As noted elsewhere, it comes with a charging cable, but you must provide some source of USB power to plug in to. Watching the short start-up video will inspire confidence, but it duplicates the printed instructions that come with the device. Everything these days claims to be easy, but this actually is!
I have an older TV that had RCA audio output jacks and I discovered a never-used optical connector. The TV had no audio-output “settings” other than for speakers. I thought I would use the RCA connectors, as I was sure they wouldn’t affect the TV speakers (some headphone jacks switch the speakers off when plugged in). I ended up using the optical cable as it seemed less likely to be vulnerable to electrical noise/interference. The optical connection worked perfectly, so that’s where I am. I hoped that the TV volume control wouldn’t affect the headphone volume, and it didn’t.
Set-up was a snap and went exactly according to simple instructions. It literally took no more than a couple of minutes (after charging the headphones).
The sound is clean and clear. A little light on bass but fine. No signal strength issues across a large family room. It is a gift for my wife, but really for me. She likes to stay up late watching TV, and now it won’t bother me.
UPDATE: After 5 months of frequent use, one side of the headphones went dead. I contacted Avantree Support and they promptly sent replacement headphones which resolved the issue. Communications with Avantree and their response time was excellent.
Excellent product and customer service
I have become hard of hearing over the past few years. Hearing aids did not improve the TV sound quality and I became frustrated by missing the dialogue. So I purchased this product with the transmitter and connected it to the TV optical output. I was amazed. The sound quality is excellent and I realised just how much I had been missing. I had a slight problem with intermittent charging on supplied item but Avantree customer service is excellent. They replaced the unit without charge. Highly recommended product.
Easy Set Up
Received the headphones a short while ago and cannot fault them really.
The set up took me about 5 minutes, since MY TV was already set up to link to head phones and when I switched on the base and then the headphones linked straight away without any problems.
At 73 i really like simple as opposed to complicated and the sound volume is really loud and easy to adjust, which I appreciate, since I’m getting a bit deaf.
The earbuds are comfortable and you have a choice of 3 different sizes and unlike most headphones that cover your ears and get warm these do not, so are cool to wear for longer periods of time.

Very easy to set up, and excellent sound through the headphones. If you want to use an optical socket for your soundbar etc you will need an optical splitter. Thoroughly recommend, and their support is very quick to respond should you need any help or advice

Excellent product and exemplary service
I have had the 4186 combination of 418 transmitter and NB16 headphones for about 16 months. They have been excellent up to 3 weeks ago. The ability to hear my TV separate from the speakers is first class with ‘virtually’ on time lag – with one ear piece in use and the TV also on, there is no ‘lag effect’.
However, recently the head phones stopped working properly. They would not charge up or power on. I entered a request for help from Avantree, which has been very worthwhile. After following their information and suggestions I tried various methods, none of which worked. Finally I got a message to say ‘your replacement headphones are on the way’! This was a very welcome outcome.
They arrived yesterday but I had problems pairing with the transmitter. I opened a ‘chat’ discussion with Jeany. We tried various methods, none of which worked. Finally she said she would ring me to discuss (from USA to UK!). This she did, and found the transmitter was locked to another device. After getting me to re-set everything, success. It now all works well. Amazing response from Avantree, excellent service, and good quality sound. Would recommend product and company unreservedly.
Works straight from the box
I had already sent one TV headset back to the supplier unable to connect as advertised.
This Avantree unit connected automatically to its headset the moment it was switched on. There are a choice of connectors to suit most applications to the TV, I would have thought. My normal TV sound box and surround sound unit still work should I require them for other people all at the same time.
It ticks all of the right boxes for me should I wish to watch TV and not disturb others.
The one small tiny improvement that would have been advantageous would be to make the control buttons hanging down from the right ear, more tactile friendly. There are 3 buttons, plus and minus volume controls and the on/off button. They are almost imperceptible from each other but you get used to them.
Take care to rotate the ‘wings’ at the ear plugs round to suit your ears. It took me a while to get the ear pods right.
Finally be aware where the charging point is, hence my close-up pic here. The cover fits so well it is almost invisible.
Not quite what I required
The product is fine. Unfortunately my tv does not have an optical output si I had to use the headphone jack. Plugging into the jack cuts off the sound from the tv. I had hoped that my wife could use the earbuds whilst I listened via the tv speakers. I had to return the product. Not their fault that my tv does not have the necessary optical output.
Great for hearing loss!
Purchased for parents as father struggles to hear the tv and mother complains volume is too loud. Ordered this to resolve the problem, it arrived the next day and so simple to set up. It has worked so well I’ve just ordered another set for my in-laws too!

Amazing sound quality for the size, easy to pair, bought for my elderly father, and once explained how it worked it was a breeze, a little over priced? Maybe but it does include the bluetooth unit for TV which has zero..and I mean zero lag. Tiny charging connector port area so could be a bit fiddly for poor sighted, arthritic,or sausage fingers souls.
Worked great for over a year. I will be purchasing again.
I purchased these in Nov 2019 when my 1st generation Sony Sleep Buds fell victim to the battery flaw. I’m blessed with really good hearing but I’m also a lite sleeper at the same time, so any noise wakes me up. Since I didn’t have $250 to purchase another set of Sony’s I was looking for an inexpensive alternative when I came across these gems.
These work really well. I thought I would dislike the cord going behind my neck and thought I would pull them out of my ears in the middle of the night, but that never happened and they are perfectly comfortable even for side sleeping. They connected via Bluetooth right away to my iPhone and stay connected the entire night. I play white noise through a previously installed app so there is nothing else to download for these to be used.
The reason I’m giving them 4 stars is that two weeks ago they quit playing for a full 9-10 hours like usual. Now, after fulling charging, they only play for 7.5 hours, and when they shut off a women’s voice says “power off” really loud and wakes me up, which isn’t great on the weekends when I’m trying to sleep-in. But, I will be purchasing a second pair of these because I feel like they are worth it.
Excellent sound quality, NO speech delay, easy to "pair"
I write very few reviews, but I’ve been so pleased with Avantree’s products I had to write this one. I originally bought 1 Avantree Oasis (New Version) Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver and 1 Avantree AH6B Bluetooth5 On-Ear Headphones. I was so pleased that within a week I bought 2 more AH6B headphones and an Avantree HT4186 Wireless Earbud Headphones and Bluetooth Transmitter. ALL have excellent full-range sound quality (20Hz -20KHz), AND NO PERCEPTIBLE SPEECH DELAY when watching TV or DVDs.
If you need power supplies for them I recommend: Anker USB Plug Charger 2-Pack Duel Port, also from Amazon.
Effortless
I am really pleased with this product. I must admit I wondered at first about buying a new TV with more inbuilt Bluetooth capability but the smart TV I have -albeit about 7 years old now – is otherwise perfectly fine. So instead, I bought this wireless transmitter and headphones. This allows me to keep the noise down when watching evening TV or for the rare occasion when Xbox makes an appearance.
I simply located a 5A USB port on the back of my TV and connected to the Avantree transmitter unit with one of the supplied USB cables (which powers transmitter), switched on the transmitter and its Bluetooth indicator light started flashing blue. I then switched on headphones and they automatically linked to the transmitter.
I then decided to use the supplied 3.5mm TRS aux audio cable from TV to transmitter for sending the sound; there are also optical and RCA leads included as other choices.
That is it – all done and I have not looked back. Every time I now wish to use them I ensure they’re charged (easily topped up with the other USB charging cable supplied), then switch on headphones and they link to transmitter within seconds. I then mute TV optical out which is currently sending sound to 5.1 home theatre by muting the home theatre itself. But this doesn’t mute the auxiliary audio out jack on TV as that is a separate output so sound continues to come out through there and I can adjust sound using volume up and down on headphones themselves without even using a remote. Simple, fantastic idea. Money very well spent.

First I got a lemon, but customer service was amazing and helped me right away ! It’s very easy to install , sometimes i need to turn it on /off few times to work! But in general sound quality is good, battery lasts for a long time ! 👍

I bought a number of these as gifts for people some who have hearing difficulty and another who stays up all night.
The verdict is these are AMAZING – the people who have the hearing difficulty can now hear the TV with out it sounding like stadium concert and the other can stay up all night watching TV well the rest of the people in the hose can sleep in peace. This really is something everyone should have 🙂
Very Pleased
Bought this so that I could watch TV and not interrupt those members of the family who are currently having to work from home. For that purpose it works perfectly. The sound quality is very good, absolutely no lag. Very easy to set up if you remember to switch on both the box and headphones. I missed the switch on the box which caused me a few minutes of concern. When fully charged it easily lasts the 22 hours mentioned by the makers. As for distance mine was still connected through two glass doors at about 12/13 metres. Or about 9/10 metres when I go out the back door but that is through two brick walls and a PVC door. It automatically reconnects when you are back in range. Like I said very pleased.

I use these for late night TV and find them perfect as they also allow me to move around without loss of signal. They come with setup instructions but, to be honest, I just plugged it in and that was it – all ready to go.
What I like is 1. The flexible top bar that holds the earpiece in place, great idea; 2. I can adjust the treble to bass setting by pushing the earpiece in or pulling it outward, so, for speech – out, for music – in. So easy to use in all respects. Highly recommended
A Godsend to the hard of hearing.
The Avantree neckband earphones are a godsend to the hard of hearing & probably moreso to those living with them and their next door neighbours. They are brilliant, but not without their problems unless the latest version has solved them. I bought my first set 2 years ago and loved them. It wasn’t long though before I started have connection problems. The customer service is superb. They replaced those earphones & at least two more sets since then. They would stop charging or lose volume. The last 2 sets I had started off very loud, too loud & the volume control wouldn’t work, but the volume decreased over time and was good until it eventually after a few months became too low. My last set still works, just. I can still just about hear the tv, but only if I keep still & really concentrate and there is no other noise. As I’d had 2 years use since the original purchase, I decided to buy a new set. I did look, but there really doesn’t seem to be anything as good on the market. I do have headphones, but they’re heavy, mess up my hair and seemed to be giving me a bald patch, so only use them when I really have to i.e. when the Avantree ones aren’t working. I’ve had my new ones now for almost 3 weeks and they are perfect. The sound is excellent, very clear and not too loud. As with the all the others, the volume control does nothing, one earbud is bigger than the other & falls out sometimes, but not a big problem. I’m hoping that previously encountered issues have been resolved & that these will keep working for a long time to come. I’d like to give them 5 stars, but can’t because of the previous problems, but if the new ones keep on working I will change to 5 stars.

Trs simple pour l’installation, l’adapteur bluetooth utilise un port usb pour l’alimentation electrique, en utilisant un port usb de la tv, pas besoin d’allumer ou d’teindre l’adapteur, (il s’allume et s’teint avec la TV). La connection est rapide avec les couteurs en appuyant 3 secondes sur le bouton d’alimentation. La seule chose que je peux dire de ngatif sont les couteurs, on doit les ajuster pour avoir un bon son, les oreillettes d’extra des couteurs pour les oreilles sont trs efficaces et s’installe correctement dans le creux des oreilles afin d’amliorer le son. Je le recommande!
Terrific headset and transmitter.
At last a headset that is the perfect sound for me. Because of my hearing loss I watch tv with headphones. You can’t make sound adjustments when using headphones. I like less bass and more treble so the words are sharp and not muffled. The lip sync is terrific, no delay at all.
