This is only our second bamix — the first one lasted 42 years and was indispensable — when it finally died we had to replace it straight away. Thank you

Watch the demo videos on YouTube and you will see just what this wonderful gadget can do, and yes, I thought ok but didn’t really believe it to be honest, how wrong I was. I should have bought one years ago, homemade ice cream and bread are just a few of the hundreds of recipes that this will do not only faster but much better than you can imagine.

Best buy you will make, bought my first Bamiix lasted 20 years then the second lasted 14year, it was replaced with a new one when it stopped working, this one I have bought for a present, they will have years of use, you can down load the all give you lots of tip and recipies, also lots of attachments. But one you will love it.

Very happy with this product. A word of caution as it comes from the UK it has a UK power plug. I bought a UK to Oz adaptor on Amazon for under A$10. This worked and doesn’t look out-of-place when attached to the UK plug.

Fed up with hand blenders that burn out after very little use, I decided to dig deep and try something more expensive. I am glad that I did. Being reliable to use time after time, is not the only plus. This blender is much quieter than any that I have previously used. The motor is so precise that I can feel no vibration when it is on. The handle is very comfortable to hold even in my XXL paws. The buttons are effortless to operate.

There are a couple of thing which I do not like. My biggest bugbear is that I would have liked the S blade to have been included. It is a significant nuisance to have to source it separately and I am sure most people will want it. This blender works a little slower than the previous blenders that I have owned. The stand could do with being heavier for more stability.

Removing a blade for the first time is a little scary. It could have been better explained or demonstrated. Once you have done it once, it is no problem. Cleans well.

in spite of the niggles, I still love this blender for its comfort and reliability. It looks good too.

I love my Bamix it’s ease of use and smooth operation makes for a perfect kitchen aid. Cleaning can be a bit difficult as the power cable is attached so you can’t shove it in the dish washer or in the sink of water.

The attachments are easy to change, just make sure you unplug the bamix before doing this as there is no safety to stop you from pressing the power functions.

It comes with a handy stand they can be screwed to the wall and holds the attachments on the side.

Great bit of kit with two speed functions. It comes with 3 attachments – cutting blade, whipping blade and a aeration blade.

P.S if you like your mash potatoes smooth and creamy this is the perfect tool for that.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI am so impressed with this. I received yesterday and have only used so far to make a milkshake and to whisk cream. It is fantastic. No lumps in the milkshake and super quick. The whisk function is brilliant too, no more storing big bits of kit. Decided to leave out on the worktop for ease of use so I’m glad I chose the deluxe version that includes the stand. Feels comfortable to hold and easy to operate. Easy to change the blades and again glad I got the stand as it stores the blades on the unit. It is quieter too than I expected so added bonus. Looking forward to trying out a few recipes from the book provided and getting rid of all the other gadgets no longer required.

    Bamix is brilliant!

Generally very well made and versatile, though the stand is quite feeble and has had to be wall-mounted for safety. Still getting used to the functions but so far delighted.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Userspros: just feels quality: effortless power: feels like the last blender u’ll buy: the package comes with all the attachments u really use.
Cons: Changing over attachments is a little fiddly and i’m not sure that will get any better with practice: not being able to detach the blender end make washing it slightly more tricky.

Over all very happy with i

Very powerful and sturdy, will churn through anything. Frozen fruit, raw veg etc as long as you have some liquid in there. Also great for nuts in the addon.

Many Pros, The ONLY Con being the stiff cable. Fitting a Coily cable (available for sub 5) made it perfect in every way.

Bought to replace a similar product which we had had for many years. Bamix often regarded as one of the best and most robust. We had often admired them. Not disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersOk so it’s expensive, but it works flawlessly.

We got rid of a huge ninja blender and worried this wouldn’t be up to the same tasks, well it is. It’s easy to clean, has two speeds so it suits all tasks, it’s compact, inoffensive to look at, and appears very solidly made.

Very pleased overall, for the price it would have been nice to have the blending jug included.

I bought the “Gordon Ramsay by Bamix” version of this in 2008. It’s still going strong despite regular use. What more can I say? This model seems similar, although mine is 200 watts instead of 180. And fortunately now without the celebrity chef branding.

I use it mainly for soups, but have also at times used it for frothy hot chocolate or milk for coffee. It may not seem that powerful when compared to other brands, but it’s never struggled doing the tasks I’ve asked of it.

When blending light liquids rather than heavier soup, you will need a taller container. Bamix sell a special jug, but I find any taller container works. I have used a 8-cup, 1 litre cafetiere jug at times, but do be gentle lest you break the glass. Mine came with a bowl attachment, which I also use. It’s great for small quantities of dry ingredients like herbs.

You get a few different blades, but I tend to stick with the one that looks like the blade in a jug blender. It works fine for most things.

The blender is very easy to clean. Just switch it on for a few seconds in some soapy water. You can pop off the blades easily to clean them. They are made of stainless steel and I’m sure they’d go into the dishwasher, but I have never needed to.

I can’t speak for the current version, in case Bamix have changed the construction. However, if it’s anything like as solid as the ones that were sold 10+ years ago, I don’t think you’ll have to worry about a replacement for a very long time.

Hasn't let me down in 11 years

Amazing product. I used to have the usual brands and they would have plastic connect with the mixer arm which will heat up and even melt. This bamix hand blender is just perfect, robust and precise.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought in the main for blending soups. Does this with no trouble at all. Excellent quality product, yes a little heavy but its a robust bit of kit so not surprising. The attachment is bit fiddly to remove but once you have the knack its fine. I originally bought the Kitchen Aid cordless blender which I returned and I am a big Kitchen Aid fan, its was far too heavy, too large and above all struggled surprisingly to blend soups! Delighted with the Bamix.

The best stick blender so far. Blends realy fine and the mill is a real bonus for flax seeds and nuts. I also use it directly in hot soups and foods, and cleans really quickly an easily under the tap or in a pot with soapy water.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought the Bamix de luxe ‘cos I’m a label nut and couldn’t abide the shame of continuing to own a Sainsbo’s basic stick blender any more! 😉 Seriously, the Bamix is much heavier than the Sainsbo’s jobbie, but also much smoother and quieter, suggesting it’s better made, from better materials. It’s certainly much easier to clean, too and that’s probably the biggest Plus. It has two speeds, but to be honest I don’t use fast much as slow seems to do the job fine. Where fast does score is if you processing large amounts, which mostly, I’m not.
The stem and the head are metal where all the basic stick blenders’ are plastic and the blades are chunky to the extent that they will most probably last forever! The blades are easily swapped too – with a de luxe, there’s a chopper, a blender and a whisk blade – and so the Bamix is far more versatile than a basic one-blade-only blender. Whether you want to pay ten times the price of a basic jobbie is a moot point – realistically, you’re getting three things for your extra money – a ten year warranty, swappable blades and a quiet smooth tool, but the biggest downside is that yer basic jobbie is loads lighter and so easier to use for kids and folks who have smaller hands or aren’t as strong as they’d like to be….
For me tho’, there is no substitute for the look on my friends’ faces, when they enter my kitchen and see I’ve got a Swiss blender – listen to the classic track by Yello if you don’t know quite what I mean…

Bought it mostly for mixing the chocolate for mirror glaze on mousse cakes, it’s perfect for no adding air bubbles at the composition, beside this it is very good to blend any kind of mixture in any kind of container, super easy to wash and ofcourse swiss quality is to mention, the best!
