BASN prides itself on not only making great products, but making great fashion items as well due to its bright colors, and detachable/replaceable parts. You can mix and match different cables and earphones to create the exact look you want to achieve.

Excellent in ear monitor for the price. Literally a game changer as a vocalist.
Noice cancelling on my SONY NW – A105.
headphones are loud! If turned up full volume looks where important to me as i don’t know that much about high end quality beautiful chain wire too is a nice fit and ovs the headphones sounds perfect! I was going to buy some over ears, theses are great and more practical two thumbs up
While my custom 3 driver iems are being repaired, I ordered these to use for rehearsals and a gig in the meantime. They are packaged really well and include tons of tip options to find the right fit. Isolation is great and they stay in well. The sound is good for the price but I wouldn’t say they’re as amazing as the other reviews make them out to be. These will be a great backup set once my customs are finished being repaired
Das Produkt entspricht voll meinen Vorstellungen – toller Sitz und sehr guter Sound!
Brilliant IEM’s for the money! Turn a light on and put your glasses on when your looking for the left and right (L+R) on the earpieces! Very faint to see even in good light lol. That is the only thing I can fault which is trivial! I recommend then 100% for the quality of the audio and noise cancellation. I would say that when you first audition them…turn the sound down first on your audio device!! I was.using earbuds previously and the volume was a wee tad.on the loud side…put in these wee beauties and my ears where chirping for a few days lol. My fault, but Kudos to the design team for the fit and driver placement. You get 2 sets of cables with the black pair having volume control on it. The silver on doesn’t, but the 2 of the do not tangle!! Obviously they went to Hogwarts for this magic to happen 😉 The carry case is a wee bit jazzy to look at but at least it’s a hard one! Personally I use my own. You get a good selection of tips, silicon and aquishy as I call them. A wee Jack and cleaning tool is included. I cannot fault them. I’m not an audiophile but I do like to hear everything coming together to hear my music clearly and not too bass driven like these IEM’s! Ohhh..before I forget, my kids said they look awesome and I agree 😉
Cost less than my airpods, and gives better sound. Fits comfortably and provides good sound quality.
I would totally recommend these. I wanted professional grade made to measure iem earpieces made but they are way too expensive with Xmas around the corner. These are so good for the price. In my mix I have my vocal quite proud, guitar sitting behind and a little drums and bass. It handled it perfectly. I couldn’t gig without these now. No nasty white noise after gigs, no hearing or singing fatigue issues
I have used IEM for several years. Have had very expensive Westones and shures. These work comparably at a fraction of the cost! Great for working musicians. Cable is a bit dodgy, but works well’
oday i finally got a good headset but my remote control cable is damaged one side doesn’t work on the white cable both sides work.
I was very skeptical what reviewers were saying and on youtube reviews however these just sound Awesome i was amazed at the quality of these in sound . firstly treble is just near perfect not harsh at top end just right. The base goes real low beautiful sounding low end base without that awful thump thump thump they have perfectly got this nearly spot on not saying cant be improved but they great. The mids are great good sounding voices no harshness nothing all I can say sorry no reason pay 700 pounds for IEMs. I can truly say you wont be sorry getting these its a steal at this price. I really felt and wondered what the quad drivers sounded like which are extra 30 pounds however seeing reviews has put me off little upgrading to 4 drivers in the in ear reviewers are saying not as good especially in base area than the BMasters but I would still like to try but for now i cant pay more but would love to try them and do a side by side review. Spotify even sounded passable with these not bad sound at all. I used the LG V60 phone with built in Dac in mp3 and flac and dsd all sounded amazing but listen to flac and dsd OMG the sound comes to life with hearing every instrument from drums to guitars lines and back ground sounds you dont normally hear with other in ear. These are worth every penny and i am major fussy very. Good job BASN but I want more and would like try 4 driver BASN do. Go get its a bargain.
I had to return these as I have small ear canals and even the smallest buds did not fit. Most people won’t have this issue, so as long as you’re comfortable wearing other earbud type earphones you get a well made product for your money. The extra cables and mic/ volume control are good quality and you get a nice case, etc Whilst this type of monitor is a little more fiddly than standard earphones once they are on you get excellent sound quality for the cos
Firstly, I’m a bit of a headphone junky (I have more pairs than any reasonable person needs)
Secondly, my hearing isn’t great (I’m not audiophile)
Like most people, I’ve become accustomed to the convenience of Bluetooth headphones and earbuds over the past few years, but it’s true that you really can’t beat a good pair of wired earphones, headphones, IEMs etc
What we’ve also become accustomed to, is how expensive Bluetooth headphones are – a few years ago, the thought of spending 100 on some earbuds would be been pretty unthinkable for a lot of people, now it’s the norm to spend even more than that
Having recently bought a Helm Bolt USB-C DAC (superb btw) I was curious to try some modern/recent, wired IEMs, to see what you get for your – having done some basic research (YouTube, various articles) I landed on these.
The packaging and what you get in the box are both excellent – I’ve been using the cable that does not include the mic/volume control, and that alone is really good – light, doesn’t tangle, feels well made etc. You get some nice extras (e.g. two sets of cables, one with, one without a mic, and a nice little carry case etc)
The earbuds themselves are very comfy, light, and to some extent block out some background noise (passively) – I need to try some other ear tips as these can make a real difference to sound and passively blocking out background noise.
The sound quality is excellent though – far, far better than Bluetooth earbuds costing 3x the price of these.
Even with my relatively poor hearing, they sound crisp, clear, punchy, good deep bass (without being over-blown), great vocals and separation etc (mainly listen to techno, dance music, rock, disco, 80s pop etc)
And there’s something quite nice about having wires again – no, it’s not as convenient as Bluetooth, and especially with glasses (as I wear) and a mask, you can easily get in a tangle. But there’s something comfortingly “old school” about having a cable again.
I’m really loving these – the difference between even good Bluetooth earbuds is very noticeable – these just sound so much better.
Highly recommended!
Since this is/was my first experience with IEM’s, there was a little “learning/get use to it” curve. Finally fiddled around with it and got a reasonably comfortable fit. I would have liked some sort of clamp/device somewhere on the excess cord I could attach to my shirt or pants. When on break I found it awkward to toss the cord over my shoulder in order to move about…..but, I figured out a way to cope.
Sound was great, with one exception. When the bass player payed in a very low range, particularly a low B note, the bass distorted; had a bit of a flabby sound. This set might not be the answer to kick drum and /or bass….and honestly, we might be able to improve this with some EQ’ing. I understand the 4-driver model of this might be the better answer. But, over all, the sound (vocals and instruments) is great. I particularly enjoy being able to control my own monitor mix via Mackie Fader 5. All in all…..good product at a reasonable cost versus what I found you can lay out for these puppies! I recommend them.
Very nice, full sound. Noise isolation works great. Wonderful performance at this price range.
First time I’ve ever used this type of ear monitor before (just pods and over the ear phones before) and I’ve got to say I’m impressed. Terrific sound quality and noise cancellation in a unit that almost disappears from view. I didn’t know how seriously good these would be when I ordered them.
I bought these because I thought they had spacial audio, which they did not. What they do have is some crispy drivers and DEEP bass hits. Would definitely recommend for runners if you aren’t using them as actual IEM’s for music production. The cable is super light and they refuse to fall out of your ear.
Love these for in ear monitors. I can hear notes I knew were there but had a hard time hearing with other brands. Two thumbs way up.
So since Bose cancelled their in ear wired headphones, I’ve been trying to find my next go to wired set. These are not marketed for exercise but so far I really like them. The wire disconnects from the earsets which also allows them to spin freely while connected (they click in metal on metal). The sound is great, on par or better than my old Bose. I will say the silcone piece blocks out a little more abient noise (road noise like traffic) but again, I’m using these outside of their marketed use. Also, the wire goes around the top of your ear and down. The part of the wire that wraps around your ear is stiff so you can bend it and it will keep its shape to hold in place better (think goose neck). If you intend on jumping around a lot, these will probably fall out, but not right away. These also come with 2 sets of wires; sound only and microphone w/volume control. With all this said, these are great sound at an affordable price.
Bought these for stage use – they are comfortable enough so I don’t really notice they are there, in marked contrast to wearing my AKG cans on a hot stage.
Sound quality is good.
The MMCX plugs mean that they swivel on the cable, which makes putting them on a little fiddly.
Still playing with ear tips to find the most comfortable set – you get a good variety to choose from in the box.
These are really great monitors! The sound quality is really tip top, I can hear the whole mix clearly at a comfortable volume. They’re crystal clear across the whole acoustic range, I’ve found other monitors/headsets to get crackly on loud high notes. These remain clear. The bass could be a little deeper, but in terms of monitoring they’re doing the job well.
My choice of these earphones was motivated mostly by the ability to change the cable and by the good reviews that they have received.
In the past I have been using good earphones that were unfortunately let down by cable of lower quality that broke before the earphones themselves. With these BASN Bmaster I will able to replace the cable if needed.
Besides the above, the earphones produce better sound than any earphones that I have owned before. Not having used high-end earphones, I am unable to judge how they compare, but I am quite pleased with the quality especially with respect to the price.
I am by no means any kind of sound or music expert. But these are hands down the best sound quality I have ever experienced with earphones or headphones, and that’s compairing to a pair of high end headphones from a very well known brand, which are almost twice the pride of these.
One thing I found frustrating about these was the fact I constantly pulled the cable out of the earphone. Usually, if I do this then I can feel I have caught the cable when it tugs the earphone in my ear and I can untangle it. But with these the cable comes out of the connection before I have time to react to the pressure of getting it taffled, which is fairly annoying. That being said I can understand why this feature would be brilliant for someone who is used to wearing wired earphones, or has a clip for the wire somewhere on their person’s, for example professional musicians.
There are 2 different cables included with these, I believe one is specially for high clarity and the other is a little more standard.
I do have very weird shaped ears and although I’ve tired thousands of pairs of earphones, I’ve only actually found one pair of comfortable wireless earbhds and that’s because of the shape of the main bud rather than the bit that goes in my ear hole. Unfortunately these are one of the pairs that doesn’t sit nicely in my ears no matter which tip covers I try on them. I think this is more an issue with my ears than these earphones or tips though.
Bought these under advice from a friend to replace my old Shure SE315, wasn’t expecting too much but and yeah wow.. they have much wider frequency range and clarity than much more expensive models, more bass. I’m a keyboardist and these sound much better to my ears and for my purposes, especially the low and rhythm end. Comes with plenty of ear buds but the shure ones don’t fit. Haven’t tried the shure cable on the BASN yet but I’m told it fits.
Honestly, one of the best IEM in its price range. I believe it’s better than the Shures. These ear phones have better lower frequencies!
I’ve gone through a lot of different in-ears and over-ears, and these sit very close to the top. The sound fidelity is surprisingly good, and it’s a godsend for work I do where sound balance is very important. There are definitely better options at the $300+ range for hardware, but at this price point, I genuinely have no right to complain.
I will say, however, that they can get a little uncomfortable during long sessions. You’re given a wide selection of sizes for the earbuds, but finding one that works well for you can be a challenge. I managed to find something that worked for me, but this might not be the case for you.
Sick of Bluetooth headphones these are just what I was looking for sound is amazing great bass and mid.
I have owned these for about 8 months and earlier today I sent an email to BASN support as the shells of my IEMs were developing cracks in a few different places, and they were still within the 12 month warranty period. I included my Amazon receipt and pictures of the damage, and I received a response only a few hours later letting me know that a replacement would be sent to me.
The IEMs themselves are quite nice for the price. If you are within this price range I would definitely recommend these because the product is good and the customer service is excellent!
Feel good, sound good, hard to read which ear piece is right and left. But otherwise, definitely recommend for the price.
Unbeatable for the price! great sound quality use them for DJing look great too, prefer them to conventional head phones for mixing
The sound quality and product quality is very good for the money. I was very pleased with this product and the fact they supplied a second cable. Worth the money.
Was genuinely surprised at the sound quality of these ear phones. Comfortable, produce lots of lovely detail and have plenty of bass (for me at least)
Okay, so I thought I’d wait a while before writing a review for these so I could be 100% honest.
I’ll start with the sound quality, I’ve owned 10’s of pairs of iems which I use for work (I’m a sound engineer) and I’ve struggled to find anything as flat and honest as these. If you’re looking at these for general listening I’d look else where, but for on stage these sound perfect and easily rival 500 shure in ears.
Comfort, now this is where I have a few quarms. The cable provided is a bit uncomfortable around the ears and can start to get a bit sore after hours of use. The size of the earpiece is also quite large so I’d avoid if you have small ears! Saying that tho they have got better with time.
Noise isolation, the isolation on these isn’t the best and that’s where they are let down a bit, the foam tips deffo do better than the rubber ones but still nowhere near as good as some se215s.
All in all these are great iems and for 70 they really can’t be beaten rivaling even my custom ultimate ears iems which where 1300, I’m honestly not sure how they’ve done that.
Only thing that could be improved is the cable length and comfort, but that really pales into insignificance when you consider the price!
Cheers BASN
Very good selection of tips, which you will probably need because unless you get a good seal in your ear the sound is very tinny. Maybe I have difficult ears but it took an hour or so to get them set up, but once I did the sound is excellent. A choice of two cables depending on whether you need a mic or not. Plus a nice little case to transport them. Overall I am very pleased, I doubt you will get better unless you go for custom fitted ones.
These are fantastic ear buds. I just stumbled across these and so glad I did as they are brilliant. Great sound across the range. These are as good as earbuds double the price. If you buy them you will not regret the purchase. Build quality is great and you get a lot of extra bits too. These aren’t really noise cancelling, but who cares if they sound this good.
La calidad del sonido, cancelacin de ruido y comodidad son mejor de lo que esperaba. Estoy encantada y sumamente satisfecha
Decided to take a chance on these and was very pleasantly surprised! Really great sound for a budget friendly IEM. I’ve recommended them to all my fellow musicians as a noncustom option!
I’ve tried a few different IEM’s over the years and this one beat out Shure’s and Westones in terms of overall sound quality and comfort. The bass is tight and round without muddying up my live mix. GREAT quality IEM’s for the price. Look no further.
I’ve been a drummer and I’ve been using my basn in ears for a while and I’ve gotten some new ones and the noise cancelation is great. These are insane. I love these and the sound quality makes me want to listen to more music
Very nice quality packaging. I was amazed at this product for the price. They have a great sound and are well made. I use them on stage. Very happy with them
Good in-ear monitor overall, fairly neutral sound signature that is easy to listen to for extended periods of time. Included is every kind of ear tip imaginable, so you’re guaranteed to be able to get the proper fit for optimal comfort and sound quality. Tips include foam, silicone, silicone triple flanged in three sizes each. These arrive with two different cables, a brown and white one. The cables are very flexible and connect easily to the ear phone, without being prone to getting easily tangled. You even get a little zippered storage case to allow you to store everything neatly and in a protected fashion.
So while the sound is good, its nothing special but you do get plenty of volume since these are easy to drive. This is a great option for those just getting into IEM’s who may not know what tips or cables they will need since you get everything you need here. Overall, recommended, great price for how much you’re getting here. 4-stars.
Feels really easy to wear and with the memory foam it can be worn for longer…. Really nice product would def recommend.
The fit was awesome straight out of the box. The sound is fantastic,, all it took was a little adjusting on the EQ on the mixer.
Estoy feliz de haberlo adquirido. Me pareci un poco costoso. La calidad del sonido, la cancelacin de ruido y su comodidad son excelentes. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Gracias
Bought these based on other reviewers comparing them favourably to the Shure signature sound and I have to say I fully agree.
These leave the se215’s for dust and don’t sound too far away from my beloved srh1540’s. Lows, mids and highs all balanced into an exquisitely musical whole
Comfier than the Shure equivalents but not sure the sound isolation is as good (though still plenty decent enough for ne).
Definitely my new top choice for music on the go.
I am a worship pastor in Texas and we needed to replace all of our IEMs. With a budget of $100 per IEM, I decided to buy one pair of these just to try them first. After one Sunday of using these, I already bought 3 more. They are comfortable, sound incredibly clear, and seem to be built to last. I would recommend these to anyone who needs affordable and great sounding IEMs for live use. My one complaint would be how the microphone sounds on the everyday use cord. It basically sounds like you are on speakerphone.
Coming from Sure SE215s, these do stand their own ground against them in terms of quality of the build and sound clearity. They are however better bang for the money since you get more accessories (mainly 2 cables, one with mic, plenty eartips, very nice hardshell case). They are not as bassy as my old sures but they are much more neutral in sound profile which makes them bit clearer in lower end. Overall the fact that they stand their own ground against well established brand is pretty amazing.
Normally I go for the brand names but I decided to give these a try. I’m really impressed, especially for the money. I highly suggest using the gray memory foam ear tips – once I did that bass response increased tremendously. My only small complaint is that it’s REALLY hard to find the L and R indicators on each earbud. Once I did I took a piece of gaff tape and wrapped it around one side so I could more quickly identify which is which! I think this is a great value for the money overall.
My disappointment is mostly from not hearing back from the company after emailing customer support (it’s been around 2 weeks) and I really believe this company has a good quality IEM, I just got a dud cord! I’ll keep waiting for the replacement.
These are superb… I have used them in the Studio and just for pleasure. They are amazing for the money. Great isolation once you get you buds right. From funk to rock no problem.
Brilliant.
Thanks for a great product.
I rediscovered some records thanks to these: the sound is precise and well defined, which probably explains the splendid sound stage and imaging. The bass goes low but is not overwhelming, all the instruments separate effortlessly, a level of quality I never heard before in this price range.
They come with a very cool zippered carry case.
BASN also makes a bluetooth adapter cable I also highly recommend. A real audio bargain.
I am relatively new to the world of in ear monitors as I never was able to find comfy earphones. All of the tested by me was to quick to jump away from my ears. I could not justify price to make specific moulded cases and I always used over the ear headsets. However it is difficult to find over the ear headset which will work good when you circling and I decided to give another try to in-ear. Initially looked at Bsinger but decided to give a try to a bit more expensive mode – Bmaster. Mostly for “just in case” reason If I can fit them properly. Purchased also 3rd party balanced cable with 4.4mm jack to fit my iBasso BX160.
And I was surprised. First of all packaging , box, case , included cables and million different sizes of inserts – looks great. And finally I managed to fit Bmaster properly in my ears with help of small silicon insert and over the ear hook.
The second surprise was sound quality. I did not expect this at all. I am not musician , but I like good quality detailed music , and Bmaster managed to deliver what I wanted. Maybe if I check out headphones with double or 4 times price of Bmaster I can find something better, but so far I am fully satisfied. I will let them also to warm up for couple of day with pink noise and will see if its improve sound-quality even more.
I was sent a free set of BASN’s cheaper Bsinger IEMs to review, and was so impressed by them that I decided to buy these top-of-the-range ones with my own money a few days later. The Bsingers are a very good headphone, but at around twice the price, the Bmaster is at another level – if you can possibly stretch your budget, you won’t regret it.
It’s hard to say what is the most impressive feature of the Bmaster’s sound, but the feat it manages – which only the very best headphones do – is to be able to separate out all the individual strands of a piece of music so they can all be heard clearly. Pick an instrument – guitar, bass, drums, keyboards – and you can follow exactly what that instrument is doing all the way through the track. Cheap headphones can usually do this for simple acoustic music, but when a piece of music gets complex, the sound dissolves into a bit of a mush – on the Bmasters, this just doesn’t happen. It doesn’t matter how much is going on – you can still hear all the detail. These IEMs have revealed guitar parts I didn’t know were there on albums I have listened to literally thousands of times over the last 40 years. Very impressive indeed.
Even better is that this accuracy and resolution is not at the expense of a tiring, over-bright sound. The sound balance is excellent – the bass goes low and deep without sounding artificial; the treble is clear but not over-emphasised, and the whole merges together beautifully. I have a pair of Shure’s E500 IEMs, which cost around 500 when I bought them, and while they do manage the resolution and separation of the Bmasters, their frequency response is nowhere near as good – the bass reproduction from them is very limited, and they sound light and slightly tinny by comparison.
They’re an easy load to drive – my Sony NW-A55 drives them with no trouble at all, and they sound fantastic on there. A dedicated headphone amp would probably make them sound better still, but is by no means necessary.
I know I’m sounding like a bit of a fan boy, but I promise you that I’m not on BASN’s payroll! These headphones are, as far as I am concerned, the audio bargain of the decade, and I am currently spending a couple of hours a night rediscovering all my favourite recordings on them.
This was my first experience with modular earphones, and I must say I am impressed.
The biggest issue that I probably share with other users of earphones is that the wire breaks off before the sound drivers bust. These have MMCX wires which allow you to remove and replace the wires if they get worn down or if you require another for a different purpose. They also can be rotated 360 to decrease tension. These come with 2 wires – one with a microphone for daily use and the other without more targetted for instrument playing.
The look of the earphones is very jazzy and gives the vibe of serious listening. The design is clever and fits very snuggly into the crook of your ear to provide better noise cancellation than most active noise cancellation earphones I have tried. These do not have active noise cancellation (ANC) and this is to maximize the quality of the audio. The wavelengths that ANC produces to cancel steady sounds also dampen some notes in your music. It also does not work well for varied sounds but constant background hums. This has amazing passive cancellation and I can’t hear anything when someone speaks to me. The fit is also very comfortable and I can even use these whilst lying down as they sit flush with my canal.
The audio quality is super clear but not too clear that it will ruin your experience with other earphones. The bass is enough to give you satisfaction however not rumbly or overpowering that the high notes become washed. The wire also has metallic bendy elements near the earphones which enable you to curve it around your ear. This prevents 2 things – pulling on the wire accidentally won’t remove the earpiece and cause damage and the angle will mean that the wires stay out of your way more.
The countless silicon ear tips give you a tailored fit, the case provides great protection for traveling, the adaptor allows compatability with many amplifiers and the cleaning tool is much needed to keep your earphones hygienic. The only minor annoyance is that removing and putting these on takes time and there is no hear through so speaking to people with these on is not possible.
I would definetly recommend these to anyone in need for long term earphones.
Packaging & Accessories
First of all, the presentation of these was brilliant, with a nice view of the IEM’s themselves through a little window in the box. with a fine white card box inside which is a foam mount for the earpieces and two smaller boxes for the other components. This means that this set would make a very nice gift for a music-lover. The excellent instruction leaflet encourages you to try out the various tips to get the most comfort and background noise isolation.
In the box, there are two separate cables(one cable has an in-line mic and the other is built for professionals that perform on stage) that you can attach to the earpieces. And also plenty of accessories, such as nine different pairs of silicone and memory foam eartips and a shiny ribbed and zipped carrying case, the case is hard enough to fully protect the earphones once inside, although it’s a tight fit. Plus a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter jack, a small cleaning brush with earwax remover, and a small spring cable clip for attachment to clothing. All of the accessories came packed in the carry case in your pocket conveniently.
MMCX Cables
Unexpectedly I found two different cables were included, either of which can be used with the detachable earpieces. One is a top-quality twisted 4-conductor silver-plated cable for pure music listening and monitoring. The other is a thinner rubberized cable with an in-line volume and track-pause controller which works either with my phone’s headphone socket or with a USB-C to headphone adapter. The microphone quality seems to be good, with background noise kept to a minimum. A nice touch is the small sliding cable separator which allows me to tighten the fit around my neck, whether I wear the cable in front or behind my head. The 8cm of cable at the earpiece end is stiffened with a bendable wire so that I can mold the wire into an earhook to keep everything in place. Each cable end is marked left or right.
And the detachable cables are an amazing idea – and even if one breaks you don’t have to wait for shipping to listen to music as you can just switch to the other cable. Both cables were pretty tangle resistant and I didn’t have any issues with them in my pocket. (In practice the MMCX standard sockets mean you can either upgrade with 3rd party cables or get a replacement for a damaged one, without losing the use of your headphones.)
Comfortable Fit
As far as the comfort and fit go, these were comfy to wear and the memory wrap on the ends of the cable to curl then round your ears was a great touch to keep them in your ears easily. I didn’t find my ears becoming fatigued either, even after listening for a couple of hours. The noise canceling is pretty strong, and I actually missed my doorbell whilst I was listening at one point, so they’re definitely pretty good in that department.
Sound Quality
The earphones themselves are fantastic! As to the sound, it was pretty impressive for $90 of IEM’s. They are really good, and for me, that is high praise given how obsessive I am about sound. The sound is absolutely amazing it’s crystal clear with a perfect amount of base and not tinny at all. They are fabulous. At the heart of that is the use of 2 dynamic drivers, plus a balanced armature driver. The latter is really working well in giving a lot of detail. If I tell you that I heard detail on tracks that I usually only get via my hifi – headphone amp – 300 quid headphones. Armature drivers tend not to be good with bass, but the dynamic drivers here deal with that aspect very well. They also make these potentially very loud – so do be careful. These truly are monitor earphones and are as good as some other much pricier sets I own. I am tempted to get custom earmoulds made for these and will explore the costs of doing this because the quality of the sound merits it.
I found bass music to be their strongest point when I plugged these into an amp. Listening to some dub, the bass was tight and punchy and really well presented and didn’t once falter even at high volume levels. Listening to other types of music, rock, alternative, and folk stuff was all a pleasure with really nice, clear mids and a great overall sound. Jazz was a particular highlight. I found some pop and classical did tend to make them feel a little bit sharp. This is mostly down to their very neutral, transparent sound and could be fixed with a little EQing (just whack your app or whatever onto a rock setting would probably do it). That leads me on to the next point though, for mixing, these would be excellent. They give a really honest image and sound pretty neutral to me.
The noise isolation is excellent and you don’t get any sound leakage either, it gets the job done to the point of completely drowning a fast underground train while not quite at full volume – which also means that when you’re listening to music casually the volume doesn’t have to be too high. The other thing that helps with the bass is the impressive range of earbud tips, including memory foam.
Overall, I think these are excellent. As far as buds go, I honestly don’t think I’ve heard better and they competed with some of my more expensive over earphones quite well like my Shure 425’s which was mind blowing since Shure is one of your more popular brands! If you’re looking for a pretty neutral set of IEM’s then I’d say go for it, you won’t be disappointed at all. Really nice monitors for both casual listening and in a studio setting. I’m seriously impressed! Might I add, the customer service and care is out of this world and is a huge reason why I choose BASN for my monitors and always will! Thank you guys for all that you do and have done for me!
I’ve found the hidden gem, and this BASN Bmaster In-Ear Monitor gives me that I haven’t expected in this category. It has a decent silver/white color combo, lightweight, fits in my ear first time in the history, right out of the box. The assembly was a little confusing because of the Right and Left labels almost invisible on the IEM body and the connector. I am missing the sliding ring (on the clear cable) that shortens the Y divided wires, giving better earplug stability. The considerable reward the sound that I get.
Precise separation and good imaging with the acceptable soundstage. On treble for the first time for me was a vast cacophony (cymbals, harmonica ) and hurting spikes, but after about 20-25 hrs. break down period, everything calms down. It needs a well recorded and mastered records, otherwise extremely punishing IEM. As its name suggests, this BASN Bmaster has born to deliver exceptional precise, low, tight base that I never experienced before. Listening to sub-base music rumble is an extremely pleasing experience. It’s a well-engineered, designed, easy wearable IEM, with enjoyable sound in the door in my hifi world. I highly recommend trying it.
I tested another pair of Bmasters just a few weeks ago, and I gave them 5 stars based not only on the fact that the sound quality is incredible (to me, a layperson with no background in music or sound engineering) but also because I didn’t notice much of a difference in quality between the Bmasters and the significantly more expensive BASN Metalen Pro in-ear monitors. At this price I don’t think you can get better sound quality. They’re just really, really impressive.
The only difference between this particular pair and the other Bmasters I tested was that these come in white with a transparent back, and I have to say I’m quite taken with the look of them. With the black version you don’t get to see the innards of the earphones but here it’s all on display, like a Swiss watch with the movement on display behind a transparent back, as if the manufacturer wants to say “Look at what we’ve achieved.” I like it. It speaks to a confidence in the quality of the hardware.
Long story short, you won’t regret buying these earphones. I’m no expert but I just can’t really discern any difference between these and a pair of in-ear monitors at two or three times the price.
Pros:
1) Sound – Best sounding IEM out of my more budget friendly lineup. The third driver really makes it a balanced IEM with good mids and pleasant bass characteristics. With my other two IEMs, I can get fatigue from the stringy highs and the punchy/hollow lows. I mostly use my IEMs with my MEE Audio MMCX Bluetooth adapter and due to the increased impedance of these IEMs, the differences between wireless and wired are nominal (which is fantastic).
2) Accessories – Comes with a wide variety of accessories including 2 cables (1 Mic and Braided), Wire Clip, and 3 styles of tips including 2 plastic and 1 foam. Also includes a cleaning brush and a 3.5mm to 1/4in adapter
3) MMCX – In a world where 2 Pin IEMs exist, my preference for MMCX cannot be understated. It makes it tremendously easier to find additional accessories if you choose to upgrade.
4) Customer Service – AWESOME customer service. I sent an email to their help desk due to an issue with one of my cables setting off Siri on my phone and immediately addressed my issue by sending a replacement.
Cons:
1) Price – I don’t think the drivers are overly priced, but cost is a huge consideration in this segment of IEMs. The Bmaster is better in every measurable way over the Bsinger Pro, but if you’re more budget conscious I would recommend the Bsinger Pro’s.
2) Accessories – While BASN IEMs come with a variety of accessories, the quality of everything is about average. The case is somewhat annoying to open (with the logo printed on the wrong side) and the durability of the tips is suspect. I replaced mine with aftermarket Comply style tips.
3) Fit/Comfort – Similar issues I’ve had with the Bsinger Pros, but I’ve found the rubber tips to not be comfortable at all for me personally. Since I replaced the foam tips I can now wear them all day. I do acknowledge my opinion is biased though because I do prefer the smaller form factor of my Nuforce EDCs.
Conclusions: The BASN Bmaster is a welcomed addition to the BASN lineup. It’s a well balanced and comfortable IEM (with my foam upgrades) with a plethora of accessories and awesome customer service. However, the cost bump places it in into stiffer competition compared to other darlings in the audiophile world. I would recommend the BASN Bsinger Pro for my money, but the Bmaster is a solid choice overall.
I have used ear monitors from many companies, I definitely have to say that these are the best. Thanks
Was skeptical at first, but I thought, go on ahead a buy em lol. I was impressed with the overall look and case that comes with it. But even more so, I was impressed with the comfort and the way the sound! I have recommended to all of my singer/musician buddies. You won’t be disappointed! I I would recommend it to my friends
Wireless earphones seem to be the favoured option for most people these days, but I for one still prefer to use wired headphones. This headphone set is unique as the wiring detaches from the earpieces. The set has 2 wires, white or black to choose from. (with more colours on the way according to the product box) I have gone with the white as I think it looks better against the trendy green ear pieces.
As far as sound goes, no problems here, crystal clear and well balanced sound with excellent noise cancellation.
The wiring also includes hands free and volume controls. The pack also has a choice of ear buds for optimal comfort and a sturdy carry case.
The BASN Bmaster Triple Drivers in Ear Monitor Headphone is high price ratio. No headphone can beat the sounds quality in the same price.
Pros:
1. It come with the SILVER plated cable!Even the cable cost more than $20 and it is detachable and untangled easily.
2. I use my Headphone Amplifier dac-ha300 to test headset . the sounds have a great range and very details, you can easy to indentify different instruments in the music. The high and mids ring through very nicely.
3. the headset are very high price ratio and beautiful.
4. The product comes with many earplugs of different shapes and materials. You can always find the one that fits your ear size.
Cons:
1. Bass is not as good as midrange and high pitch.
2. The crystal case has a little flaw but does not affect the use.
3. The left/right marks of the headset are not very clear.
They came around an hour ago and I haven’t taken them out. Fit perfectly to my ears. Just using the tips that came already on and haven’t tried the rest. Even without the spongey tips that mould to your ears these are pretty noise cancelling. Cant comment fully till I get behind the kit and try them out.
Packaging was gorgeous and very professional. I’ve been playing some modern metal and EDM through them and they sound great. My everyday headset is a BOSE comfort II so I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to audio quality. I can’t really fault these at all. Not as bassy as I would like but thats personal preference when listening to music, for IEM I imagine it wouldn’t matter too much as a bass and kick drum should come through nice.
At present I am really impressed with them. I need to use them for the purpose as bought them for but as a good set of earphones go these are very, very good. I will update on the IEM review later.
I would recommend these to anyone who doesn’t want to spend silly money on IEM, I am only a casual live performer so I’m not attached to them all the time, but doesnt want to sacrifice quality and audio response.
4/5 initial review, but could change in future.
Nothing else I found under $100 had anywhere near the full, clear, balanced sound as BASN. The really cheap ones ($8-12) don’t have any lows, unless they incorporate a bass boost and then it’s muddy and distorted. I tried a $75 model with a single driver and ended up sending that back because the bass – lower mids were less than half the volume as the highs. After that I learned I needed multiple drivers to get a decent full range balanced sound and this was the most affordable model with three drivers.
The sound quality is clean and balanced across the entire published frequency range. It has more than enough volume to hear myself clearly over a full live rock band, and enough headroom to eliminate distortion. All three types of eartips provided offer decent noise cancelling & sound isolation. The over-ear design holds them firmly in place; though it takes some time to put them on, that’s probably just a learning curve as these are my first over-ear headphones.
They seem to be manufactured well and appear durable. I usually look for the weak link of what will break first when I get something new and everything looks rock solid.
I highly recommend these BASN for in-ear headphones in the under $300 price range.
These IEMs are amazing! I own a couple IEMs and a few over ears that I use on a regular basis to play at church and various other events. These have definitely become one of my new favorites. I didn’t expect the sound quality to be this amazing. The instruments are crisp and easily distinguishable (which is not a norm for IEMs that I have used at this price point). Also, the bottom sounds amazing. The only other headphones that I have with this good of a bottom are 3 – 4 times the price of these. Most others either have no bottom at all or way too much. For the price, I expected these to sound a little muddy, but again, they sound amazing. Would definitely recommend these to someone looking to purchase new IEMs. I haven’t used the microphone cable, but I can definitely vouch for the silver one.
I am very happy with this product. The green is so striking and the quality is perfect. We record a lot at home and all of my team have different in -ears and after trying theirs, I would still buy these ones again and again.
I had an issue with one of my ear pieces after dropping it and the customer service was excellent and took care of the problem super quick.
It comes with a case that is so handy.
Definately more than satisfied with this purchase!
First of all, the presentation of these was brilliant, with a nice view of the IEM’s themselves through a little window in the box. All of the accessories came packed in the carry case which is a little bulky to be carrying around in your pocket every day but it is a really nice addition and seems to be very solid, for sure would do a really good job of protecting the headphones even at the bottom of your bag.
The sizing of the eartips is a little strange with very small size increments on the memory foam tips, this might be perfect for someone with perfectly standard ears however it caused a pretty significant issue for me as my right ear canal is a decent bit smaller than my left. So i cannot properly enjoy the sound of these due to a fitment issue. I guess that’s an issue isolated to me but it’s still relevant as some of my previous IEM’s have had properly sized tips included in the box.
Having 2 different cables in the box is a really nice touch as you have a choice as to whether you want an inline mic or not, and even if one breaks you don’t have to wait for shipping to listen to music as you can just switch to the other cable. Both cables were pretty tangle resistant and I didn’t have any issues with massive earphone balls in my pocket.
As to the sound, it was pretty impressive for a 70 of IEM’s. The bass is nice and clear without being too overdone, and the mids and highs all had their own space which comes together for a really clear sound, even if it is a little bass heavy. I usually listen to rock, and this is where i found the bass to be a little overpowering however it is nothing a few small tweaks in the EQ couldn’t fix which is the main thing to focus on.
Overall these are a brilliant pair of earphones for the price however the sizing of the eartips just ruins it for me, i’m assuming the sound would be even better than it was for me if you can get a proper seal. However i could just not, which is slightly disappointing but if you have more typical ears than me you will thoroughly enjoy these.
BASN Bmaster Triple Drivers
I’m very pleased with these headphones and I think a lot of that has to do with the fit. I wasn’t wearing them properly at first and the low end was all washed out. After I hooked the wires over my ears and tried a few different tips the true brilliance of these headphones was there. They offer an extremely flat response across a wide range which is just terrific.
I like all the choices of foam tips they offer since everyone has different ears. I also like the second wire set with a microphone. I might start wearing these at work and can use them for conference calls. The twisted wire does look better though.
I got these in white and think the style and workmanship is first rate. The packaging and the instructions that I didn’t read couldn’t be any better. This is just a great pair of IEM headphones. They make a great gift as the packaging presents very well.
I sing and found no problem with resonance or plugged ear echo like some other reviewer.
Very impressed with these. Excellent noise cancellation. Excellent sound quality.
They feel very high end as well both in and out of the ear. Several different ear adapters included for the ultimate fit.
Unpacking these was a pleasure! To begin with, the box design is very appealing – as an artist, I always appreciate companies taking that extra step to package products creatively.
The earphones themselves are fantastic! The sound is very clear, catching highs, mids, and lows in great detail, with the bass being sharp but not overwhelming. The noise cancellation gets the job done to the point of completely drowning a fast underground train while not quite at full volume – which also means that when you’re listening to music casually the volume doesn’t have to be too high. They are comfortable to wear and fit securely in your ears due to the adjustable ear-hooks.
In the box, there are two separate cables (one smooth and one braided) that you can attach to the earpieces – one of which comes with a microphone. The microphone quality seems to be good, with background noise kept to a minimum. And the detachable cables are an amazing idea – especially if, like me, you are always worried about possibly damaging the audio jack. There are also plenty of accessories, such as various eartips (though the default ones work perfectly for me) and a carry case, including a cleaning tool (that I am assuming will work well on dust and earwax).
Having recently worked on a short animated film, I can only imagine how much better the process would have been if I had had these for proofing the voiceover and sound design. Certainly, I intend to use them for all my animated work in the future! While I cannot speak for professional musicians, I would wholeheartedly recommend them to animators out there as well as anyone simply looking for a great musical experience.
These Bmaster headphones are a great affordable option for live music monitoring as well as casual listening. The fit is great with the included attachments, or you can use your own if you have some you prefer. Two different cables are included and can be easily replaced if they get damaged. One cable for phones with volume and play control and one braided cable for IEM use. Both cables sound good to me, I can’t tell a noticeable difference so I’ve been using the phone cable to listen to music.
Once you get a good fit by using the proper adapter piece, the audio quality is incredible at this price point. Highs are bright but not shrill, midrange is even and not muddy or harsh, and the low end is good without being boomy. This is perfect for audio monitoring because it allows you to hear a nice even mix without any audio sweetening found in many other consumer grade headphones. If you prefer more bass, you can add more with an EQ setting, but I do prefer the flat response as it reduces ear fatigue with long listening sessions.
Construction is mostly plastic with nice gold plated connectors. The outside is white but the inner ear portion is clear and you can see the drivers and armature which I found interesting.
In addition to the 3 sizes of 3 different ear attachments and the two cables, you also get a nice zipper case, a 1/4 inch adapter, a cable clip, and a tool to clear wax out of the headphones. Packaging is very professional looking I don’t think I’ve heard a better sounding set of in ear headphones at anything close to this price. Using multiple drivers really helps improve the higher and lower frequencies and provide a nice even sound that I still can’t believe when I hear it with a well produced song. Very impressed with these, and no real complaints at all that I can think of. Hopefully they last a while, they do seem durable and BASN has a good warranty if something does go wrong with them.
I’m not an audiophile and to be honest not a musician but I do listen to a lot of music in long burst and what I found to be most important is comfort. These in-ear monitors (IEMs) are excellent in this category. Just listening to two complete albums didn’t give me any wearing fatigue and the noise cancellation, rivals over-ear type headphones. The audio quality was decent but to be fair, I was listening to my music via my phone and not through an amp, so maybe that was the difference.
These IEMs come with two cables, one cable has an in-line mic and the other is built for professionals that perform on stage.
As I mentioned, these IEMs are made for performers that need to be able to hear themselves over the music without damaging their eardrums and the second cable is able to bend around the ear without damaging the cable whiles giving you a more secure fit.
Overall this IEMs are very good comfort-wise and in terms of audio quality, it is no slouch either.
First Glance, really impressed with the quality and feel of these ear phones!
The Ear phones came in a nice protected box and the ear phones it self looks really good, extremely light and are well designed.
Ear phones are pretty comfortable and come with plenty of replacement buds which is so good as i tend to loose them all the time. The set up is really easy. Once plugged, the sound quality is great for what you pay.
The sound and base is pretty good.
Really quality earphones!
I like everything about this headphone set.
Packaging:
This is excellent, with a fine white card box inside which is a foam mount for the earpieces and two smaller boxes for the other components. This means that this set would make a very nice gift for a music-lover.
Cables:
Unexpectedly I found two different cables were included, either of which can be used with the detachable earpieces. One is a top-quality twisted 4-conductor cable for pure music listening and monitoring. The other is a thinner rubberised cable with an in-line volume and track-pause controller which works either with my phone’s headphone socket or with a USB-C to headphone adapter. A nice touch is the small sliding cable separator which allows me to tighten the fit around my neck, whether I wear the cable in front or behind my head. The 8cm of cable at the earpiece end is stiffened with a bendable wire so that I can mould the wire into an earhook to keep everything in place. I can’t really tell the difference between the sound the cables make at this point, but that may become apparent with extended use. Each cable end is marked left or right, but in very tiny characters.
Earpieces:
These are highly polished little gems. Like the cable they are marked with left or right, so that you can make sure your channels are on the right side! The markings are next to the gold cable connection socket but are very small. The cables plug straight into the tiny MMCX gold sockets. (In practice the MMCX standard sockets mean you can either upgrade with 3rd party cables, or get a replacement for a damaged one, without losing the use of your headphones.) Sound quality is superb, with well-defined bass, mid and treble frequencies and a sound-stage that gives a good impression of instrument position. These truly are monitor earphones and are as good as some other much pricier sets I own. I am tempted to get custom earmoulds made for these and will explore the costs of doing so, because the quality of the sound merits it.
Eartips:
Nine different pairs of eartips are supplied in three types: black foam; white triple-flange; white single-flange. The excellent instruction leaflet encourages you to try out the various tips to get the most comfort and background noise isolation. I found that the large single-flange tips already fitted to the earpieces suited me fine.
Accessories:
The shiny ribbed and zipped black case with two net pockets contains the eartip selection, plus a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter jack, a small brush with earwax remover, and a small spring cable clip for attachment to clothing. The case is hard enough to fully protect the earphones once inside, although it’s a tight fit.
You could spend a lot more money on monitor quality headphones than is asked for these. But for pure musical enjoyment I think these are hard to beat for the money. True, it does take a little bit of fiddling around to get the most comfortable fitting, but everything a user could want has been carefully thought out and clearly explained in the well-written instructions. I recommend these headphones strongly.
When I ordered these on the vine programme (thank you 🙂 to give an honest review I wasn’t really sure if these were exclusively for musicians or sound technicians. However, I decided that if professionals use them, then they must be good and wow I wasn’t wrong.
There’s zero chance that I’m letting any of my grown up children get their hands on these. They’re actually amazing in every way.
The packaging is great quality and it’s perfect to give as a gift.
Inside the box is the two ear pieces, two wires 1 clear braided and 1 brown (The brown one has inline volume), 18 different ear buds, a headphone jack and a really lovely branded hard zipped case to keep it all in.
Everything has a really nice smell so you can tell they have used quality materials.
I got green ear pieces which are see through and very attractive. They are marked L & R ear. The wires are clipped into these and curve over your ears. I used to buy cheap ear buds and add sugru putty moulded round them in my ears until it sets to rubber. They were comfy enough but I now realise they were the plastic pig of the ear buds world. These are the Rolls Royce. They’re so comfy and they dont fall out of my ears at all.
I put them on with a movie playing on my phone and wow it sounded just like I was at the cinema. The sound is absutely amazing it’s crystal clear with perfect amount of base and not tinny at all. They are fabulous. The noise cancellation is excellent and you don’t get any sound leakage either.
I don’t know much about ear buds. I do know that I’m absolutely in love with these and one million percent recommend to others.
These are really good – and for me that is high praise given how obsessive I am about sound. At the heart of that is the use of 2 dynamic drivers, plus a balanced armature driver. The latter is really working well in giving a lot of detail. If I tell you that I heard deyail on tracks that I usually only get via my hifi – headphone amp – 300 quid headphones. Armature drivers tend not to be good with bass, but the dynamic drivers here deal with that aspect very well. They also make these potentially very loud – so do be careful. The other thing that helps with the bass is the impressive range of earbud tips, including memory foam. I got a great fit, which is essential if you are going to get the best out of these.
In a live music situation you need good sound isolation – these are said to block 38 dB which is decent. I haven’t had the chance to test that – but if your drummer is a bit heavy handed, these could be the answer. For domestic use, it means that you can turn down the volume – always a good thing if you value your hearing.
I found these very comfortable to wear. The inclusion of a telephone version with mic is good, but being MMCX connections you can always buy replacements at reasonable cost. You could even get a bluetooth set of connectors for less than 12 quid.
Overall: You can pay a lot more for IE moniotors, but really these are great. As general use earbuds I think you will be impressed with the sound. The packaging is impressive too – love the little case that comes with these. This is an all round winner.
I’ve owned a lot of pairs of headphones over the years, buds and over/on ear that have ranged from 50-400 and spent countless hours listening to them, so I flatter myself that I at least know what I like in a pair of headphones and think I can give a pretty solid opinion. I use them primarily for listening to music, but also to mix music for fun as well as using them to produce a podcast for a job. I’ve actually not owned a pair of buds for a few years, so it was nice to try out a new pair and see where the tech is these days. If you want the short version, I’ll say that these are great little headphones, with a sound that is far above what I would ask from a pair of buds. If you want something a little longer, read on…
The presentation first up is really nice. In the box you get your buds, a carry case, 2 tangle free cables (one of which includes an in-line mic for taking calls on a phone) and a bag of assorted ear caps. The variety here was particularly well received and I think anyone should be able to find a pair that fit comfortably. As it happened, the cable with in-line mic in my set had a loose connection somewhere and worked poorly, cutting out all over the place, which was dissapointing given the price of these, but the fact they’re replaceable cheaply and that I probably won’t use it anyway, made this less of an issue for me, but it’s poor QC at the end of the day.
The good news? That is about the only down side that I’ve experienced with these so far. In listening I’ve tested them both on a mobile phone and through a dedicated headphone amp. Using them through a phone was acceptable and I felt they performed above average for a pair of buds but still left something to be desired compared to some of my over ear phones. Once I plugged these in to an amp, however, they really sang. I found bass music to be their strongest point. Listening to some dub, the bass was tight and punchy and really well presented and didn’t once falter even at high volume levels. Listening to other types of music, rock, alternative and folk stuff was all a pleasure with really nice, clear mids and a great overall sound. I’m going to begin using them in my studio next week and see how they go but I’m pretty confident in them already given what I’ve heard so far.
As far as the comfort and fit goes, these were comfy to wear and the memory wrap on the ends of the cable to curl then round your ears was a great touch to keep them in your ears easily. I didn’t find my ears becoming fatigued either, even after listening for a couple of hours. The noise cancelling is pretty strong, and I actually missed my doorbell whilst I was listening at one point, so they’re definitely pretty good in that department.
Overall, I think these are excellent. As far as buds go, I honestly don’t think I’ve heard better and they competed with some of my more expensive over ear phones quite well. If you’re looking for a pretty neutral set of discrete phones then I’d say go for it, you won’t be disappointed at all. If you want some buds and listen to a lot of electronica and bass heavy music, they’re a no brainer, they sound excellent. Really nice buds for both casual listening and in a studio setting. I’m seriously impressed!
The sound… They are crisp with fantastic audio. I play bass guitar and it really brought that sound out nicely in the mix. I have 2 other BASN IEMs, but this set is my favorite.
This brand is known for great equipment value. It’s definitely worth trying if you like high end sound and equipment quality without the high-end price. Very…Good…Value.
If you’re looking for top notch and amazing quality great isolation and just great looking in ears get these BASN in ears the best in ears I’ve ever bought you won’t regret it.
I really like this product, quality and sound is marvelous, highly recommended for serious IEM users.
These in ear monitor earphones are amazing,
I’ve tried different brands in the past and I haven’t found any I’m happy with until now,
These earphones are really comfortable for long periods of time, they’re easy to mould around your ears and they’re very stylish,
The sound quality is impeccable, they have really good high end, mellow mid range and very punchy and responsive low end,
I’m a drummer and front of house sound engineer and they are perfect for what I need when working, they’re amazing for the price,
They come with two cables rather than just one, so you have the choice between having a built in mic or not,
They also come with a good range of earbuds to suit what you need them for,
You are supplied with a little carry case so you can keep them safe whilst traveling,
Overall these are amazing for the money and worth every penny,
I’ve told and shown fellow musicians and they’re on with purchasing their own pai
For a set of minimalistic in ear earphones these are great, sound quality is what to expected from such a small driver, plus the extra accessories is a nice bonus, great value for money
Good spacial separation needs distinction of instruments. Good noise reduction from ear pieces.
