Beanwood garden products are designed and manufactured to last. Our planter is made from pressure treated timber, which means that it’s protected from the outdoor elements, whatever they may be, and whatever you choose to plant.
The special impregnated treatment treats the wood all the way through (not just the surface) and allows the wood to absorb water without the risk of rot.
For best results, we recommend also that the planter troughs are lined with a polythene garden liner. This creates a barrier between the wood and the wet soil, which prevents the wood from drying/absorbing unevenly (i.e. on one side and not the other), which can sometimes cause distortions in the timber.
Sturdy, functional & easy to move
The planter stands at 91cm tall, allowing for a generous 6-tiers of planter boxes. Though tall, the planter is very stable thanks to its supported A-frame design, which maximises planting capacity whilst only occupying a 30 x 63 cm footprint.

Easy Assembly: Step 1
- Position two triangle brackets with their backs on a flat surface and attach the trough face by screwing through the pilot holes
- Repeat with each of the 6 troughs

La forma triangular de cada escaln se queda un poco pequea para trasplantar de macetas que no sean pequeitas, pero para la siembra est muy bien y se puede mover fcilmente una vez montado y cargado.

It arrived on time and fitted together easily, except I only noticed half way through building that it had some shorter screws for one of the supports so had to redo ( was my own fault for not reading the instructions), I thought it looked bigger in the pics but measurements are as stated and holds my strawberrys just righ

Easy to assemble and sturdy. I lined them in addition to the wood treatment and the screws were a little difficult to tell apart at times (25mm vs 30mm) but I managed with 30mins and a screwdriver.

Solid treated wood panels, made an attractive display for our herbs. Better and cheaper than the ones we saw at local garden centres.
Comes as a kit to put together and the wood is already treated. Good quality materials and design with simple easy to follow instructions. Could easily adapt to screw onto a wall or fence rather then have in the form of step ladder. Only one slight grumble is the troughs are quite small, would be good if you offer different sizes (perhaps one the width of 3 planks)
I love this planter. I have filled it with different herbs which are all thriving. It looks charming and quite rustic.
The planter is great very way to assemble. Purchased to grow herbs as I don’t have a real garden. Would buy again, would be great if you introduced a cover for it to protect from birds etc.
Looks great, very solid wood and stable. Requires assembly , I only had a small screw driver but managed successfully. Delighted with the finished product.
Nice once it is put together but did take a while to put together as some of the holes were misaligned.
Seems sturdy but have put some plastic lining to reinforce and make it last longer. Lovely as a herb planter but wouldn’t be big enough for some plants.

It was sturdy enough and looked quite nice but very small compartments, i should have read the sizes, if i had I wouldn’t have bought it for that price. I have planted strawberries in mine.

Absolutely delighted with this herb planter. It looks a bit complicated to assemble but following the instructions was easy to do. Just make sure you check which size screws you are using before starting. There are two different sizes.
The assembled planter is very sturdy. I would love to have sent a photo but just waiting for the frost to totally go before planting up. I think it was great value for money and contemplating a second one!

Used as herb garden planter, but too soon to see much growing yet. Item is really well made, is good value for money and only a screwdriver is needed to put it all together. Very happy with purchase.
Overall, a nice planter suitable for a range of patios or small spaces. Relatively compact and simple design that suits the purpose very well. Assembly instructions fairly straight forward, although there are quite a few screws (without a power drill assembly took approx. 45min-1hr). Quality of the wood generally very good, although 1 piece was split slightly and one was missing a couple of drill holes. However, in general, there was no major impact on the final product. The compartments are not too large, but perfect for standard herb pots and will allow growth/spread. Nice to have the inbuilt drainage as well. Looks great and has made a fitting present for the Wife’s birthday! Thank you!

Prompt delivery and no missing pieces. I ordered two and it took 80 minutes to assemble both using a powered screwdriver. A few guide holes a mm or so out of alignment but of no consequence. Lots of pieces, lots of screws and a few splinters. The wood is definitely treated and the finished planter is robust, steady on its feet and quite pleasing to look at. The troughs are big enough for 2 strawberry plants. I am not lining mine and the drainage looks adequate. They look smart enough to grace any patio. Very pleased with finished results.

This product is great value for money. It’s very easy to build yourself (I managed it!). You have to be careful that the back two sections line up together though as mine don’t quite (my fault) and there is a very small gap allowing a small amount of compost to spill out. My newly planted herbs love it.

He responded straight away and I have the missing piece on Tuesday with a hand written note as well as some seeds and a fence mounting kit. This is over and above anything I have experienced before.

Solid, looks pretty, quite small but that’s ok for us on our patio. Lots of people are saying it’s easy to assemble but it took me 2 hours to put together using a drill – be warned that there are 25 pieces of wood and 64 screws.
