A handy little chromatic tuner which is lightweight looks expensive and very easy to use… I’ve compared with other more expensive models and there’s really no difference in accuracy, OK behringer have got their haters who slate their products but believe me I have several of their products some alongside my boss pedals on my pedal board and work just as good, OK they’re not made of metal they don’t sing and dance like the high end ones but I can assure you they are durable and reliable… I speak as I find and can honestly say that over 40 years of playing I’ve thrown many expensive ones in the bin… So really what more do you want for 20

Well, this is the first review I’ve ever written on Amazon in God knows how many years of using it.

Which should tell you all you need to know about this pedal.

I bought it in 2014 and here we are in 2022 with it still going despite taking a regular stage and rehearsal pounding from day one. My band is a punky kinda indie and this thing gets used a LOT. It’s had beer spilled on it, been kicked across the floor, dropped and nothing seems to bother it. Literally nothing: it’s as good as the day I bought it and has been used in multiple recording sessions, high profile gigs etc without a murmur of trouble. Legendary producer Clive Langer made some very nice comments about my bass sound… just sayin’ 😀

For context, I use a Fender Jazz Bass through an Ampeg 350w head and matching 4×12 cab, and two Planet Waves leads which each cost more than this pedal. And I really wouldn’t change it for anything else; it holds its head up high in more exalted company.

Product is great value for money, especially for occasional and at home players. It is made of plastic so this would not withstand the rigours of the professional or pub giggest etc.
sound quality is OK, but you do get some noticeable ‘hum’ at loud volumes, again to be expected for the price.
The biggest gripe is how you power it. It can be run off batteries, but these are a fiddle to fit (need to take the pedal off the base, and replace carefully to avoid cracking the plastic). Annoyingly though, thee is no on/off switch – if you power it from batteries, you need to remove the in and out signal cables from it, even with your amp and guitar off, otherwise it drains the batteries. That is a bit annoying and messy. There is a port for a 9v adaptor, but it would be helpful if at least the adaptor plug came with it, as I haven’t been able to find one the right diameter to fit the hole, and so am stuck with battery power. But overall, if you are looking for a cheap pedal to have some fun at home, you probably can’t go wrong with this one.
