The green LEDs above the USB ports keeps flashing! I don’t know what the issue is?
Very compact, easy to access power buttons, just the job. Can’t comment on how long it will last as other units I have had from other brands how only lasted between 2 and 8 years. And that is not using the on off buttons much. That’s the bit that always fails. So time will tell.

I was attracted to this tower plug board by it’s ‘low rise’ design, generous outlet count, generous number of usb ports and the built in protections. In my case this unit has replaced multiple plug boards and has helped tidy up my media cabinet and hopefully protects multiple devices (cable modem, router, tv, mini pc, raspberry pi and more) against power surges/fluctuations as per product info. In addition to the tower concept, the integrated usb ports free up power sockets and simplify the wiring by negating the need for plug in chargers/transformers. The unit feels robust and comes with a hefty power lead reflecting it’s ability to support a heavy total load though i do not intend loading it anywhere near capacity.
It’s simply better than I thaught it would be , I’m so glad I paid more for it as it’s dearer than it’s rivals. I’ve set it up in my computer room to replace my Belkin, I wanted something tidier and this is so much better . It’s also perfect for those large and wierd shaped plugs .
I have a different make already, but this one is better, appears well made, works very well and good value
This tower unit is certainly more expensive than most similar, but it’s construction and quality cannot be faulted. I had a cheaper tower( not too much either) that had to be returned to Amazon under a safety recall , the difference between the two is vividly apparent. I will have no qualms about using this unit and being protected. Remember you can’t buy a life.
This is ideal for the living room or PC to provide surge protection and more sockets. It also has intelligent usb charging ports that automatically cut off when the device is charged and automatically detects and uses the correct the charge rate. It seems very well built and solid.
I really loved this unit, it is small and compact. However, like others on here, the USB ports no longer work. Not happy at all.

Sturdy. Discreet. Vertical. USB USB USB. I bought my first one to get all the wires out from under my feet. I have bought a second for my assault on the living room. They are brilliant. My best adaptor until this was Great. This was Wow. Buy more.

Others seem unaware of sizes of plugs these days ,this unit does the opposite great use of a small form to distribute sockets that can be all populated at the same time ,the unit itself is tiny and it’s footprint is so small it will fit between shelves on a standard two shelf tv cabinet the in corporation of usb’s is great plus they are mounted not flat but upright so pluging un pluging is made easier , i don’t know why this product is listed so far down the list when you search for 8 way extension leads as the reviews left by other repeat the same virtus as i have said ,in all it’s not the cheapest but it is more user friendly better designed and better constructed i gave a 3 for durability as only time will tell ,to be honest how many people ever unplug from these unit once you first set them up ,what you tend to use them for it tv set up’s and the like plug and forget .

I was looking for a replacement plug array as my old one gave up the ghost, the usb sockets had a lot of use , so found this on Amazon, It has 6 USB sockets and 8xplug sockets, have found it very useful, as you see it is in use, each USB socket has a green light which when has an item plugged in glows a green on each individual socket to show it is actively working
Love this product – I have three of them now. Very well made and beautifully designed. You can isolate the power independently on both lower and upper socket layers and there are indicator lights as well. Compact and sits well on rubber feet so holds its position well.
This 8-way surge protected tower extension is of excellent quality .The 8 socket inlets and 6 USB ports with on-off buttons for when you are not using to charge offer everything you would need for power connections near your workspace . It is beautifully made , aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is indeed a decoration on your desktop .

Has a sturdy feel and compact design. The AC/USB sockets are smooth and accept plugs with no problem. A light to indicate surge protection is a must as far as I’m concerned. Here’s hoping that the light stays on for a long time! Early days… but I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Much more stable, compact and neater on the floor than a power strip. I use it for sewing machine, lamp, iPod etc. Each layer switches on/off independently.
Very neat. Smaller than expected which is no bad thing. Top and bottom can be switched on separately which is handy.

I used this as I had a number of items needing an outlet and only 1 outlet in range. I never really intended to use the USB ports, but it’s a great solution for the regular power outlets and the optional zones and surge protection.
Being able to have regularly used appliances plugged in and ready to go is very convenient. The quality of the mains lead is impressive.

Safe , sturdy and reliable. Don’t skimp and buy a cheaper product. This is a safe product and excellent to use. I have bought several without any problems. Only negatives are price and the lead should really be bigger given this has 8 ports.

The product is as described and works well. It has minimised the clutter of cables. The one issue I have is that I searched to find a product from a British Company so I could support our own economy. However the box states it is made in China. I paid extra for this item to buy British so not happy.
It looks good and is perfect for the tv corner.
The USB ports seem to be fast charge
This product is so much better than the strip style extensions. It’s very sturdy and fits plenty of plugs and USBs all in a small space. It looks great on my craft desk too. The switches to turn the top or bottom layer off individually are really useful. I have some stuff I want to be plugged in all the time and just turned on and off at the machine itself. But I also have some machines I want to be able to cut the power to from the plug socket. So I’ve put these on one level so I can switch on and off as needed.

Not recommended for under-desk environments. Just get the flat 8 way extension for that situation.
Plan your plug / cable combinations carefully, as the plug sockets are not individually switched.
Two power switches control banks of 4 plugs each. Would have been 5 stars if the sockets were individually switched, and the switch layout was planned out with more forethought to actual day to day use.

I have just about every mains socket filled (and sometimes all of them) with multiple monitors, laptop power supplies, switches, Raspberry Pis and the odd USB device plugged in to charge, and this thing just handles them all without complaint. If I was going to ask for any changes, it would be to change to warmer colours for the lights, like red or yellow, to make the unit a bit more amenable to use in dark places. But other than that, it’s worked like a champ.
This is my third purchase of this model and needless to say I am very pleased with it. The design is space saving and lends itself, in the kitchen at least, to being placed on the window sill level with the worktop making plugging in appliances easy. I also find the USB sockets extremely useful in this day and age and use these with all my rechargeable cordless gadgets!

Very pleased with this tower extension lead and its built-in protections. I’m using it for my PC components (monitors, NAS, etc) and as a USB charging point. I was presuming it would be on the floor under the desk out of sight because of all the wires hanging off it but it’s handled all the plugs/wires neatly and looks good on the adjacent pedestal, with the USB sockets easily accessible.
At Christmas time, I always give an extra random gift (that they didn’t know they needed) and this was the one we gave our son who has a room full of gadgets. After the initial surprise at receiving an extension lead he now absolutely loves it! It is compact, well made and very solid and accommodates his computers, monitors, xbox, phone ring light, etc. The independent on/off switch on each socket is clever – rather than unplugging things they can just be isolated from the ones in use. Good long lead, very funky looking, nice colour. Love that all the leads are in one place rather than trailing around the floor, he keeps this on his computer desk. A really great man ‘gadget’.

I already had one of these towers for my tv, games consoles etc so knew they are very good . I feel happier using these rather than cheaper/flimsy type one’s on expensive equipment, so i purchased another for my desktop gaming pc. I think they are worth the price as we pay alot for our electrical items. Worth buying.

Ive brought 4 of theese they are fantastic. I did buy the 80.00 one but didn’t realise it was 2 pin plugs so sent back. But theese 4 happy been so happy with you can’t be safe enough and I love them

Liked a lot! Very sturdy it seems with a very nice ‘feel’ of quality. Does everything the product spec describes. Used for desktop computer and peripherals. Ordered a second one for similar use with laptop and other equipment. Will probably order a third for TV and connected devices downstairs!
The question of price? Hmm. But you only get what you pay for and in this case that is true. I have no regrets price wise for spending on two of these and probably a third when the kitty allows! Whatever else Bestek produces, this example of its products is a big recommendation for the company. Dislikes? None. In a perfect world I would have liked the lovely chunky cable to be, say, half a metre or so longer. Not an issue though for me.
Couldn’t comment on durability because I only recently bought the units. I fully expect it to be durable though. Nice one!
Perviously one bought in-line ( x4 plug ) and tower ( x8 plug ) Surge Protectors. They either took up too much floor space or topple when pulled. This BESTEK Surge Protector is compact, squat & highly functional. A great design : Like a cloud TV vs Black & White. With USB as well. Bonus. Content & happy.

To be fair, the sockets appear to be working, for now, it’s just the USB that is malfunctioning, but for a 40 piece of equipment I had greater expectations.
UPDATE: the customer service were prompt in responding. I asked for a replacement but I was told that given the situation with COVID-19, it would be difficult to arrange for a replacement. I was given a full refund in order to place a new order. Top marks for service, thank you! I will come back with more updates on the new item, if required.

Let me say straight away that I am always pretty wary of any type of extension sockets, especially with regards to the fire hazard that they can cause. However, this is an excellent little extension lead tower. I say “little” because it is really quite small for a unit the will take 8 mains sockets and 6 USB leads. Most importantly for me though, is due to it’s great build quality it appears to be very safe. Great value for money too.
With the lack of sockets in most homes this is a good way to keep all your gadgets charging and working.. Neat and compact with plenty of outlets with surge protection.. Remember don’t overload.
