Really needed to get my bike in an upright position to clear my door in my external hallway. This does a perfect job… Also stops the wall getting marked by a tyre rub. Quite easy to put together albeit I did have to study the instructions closely for a few minutes.

I bought to of these but the first one I bought doesn’t have the extra hold for the pannier so it isn’t secure. Can you let me know if I can purchase this particular piece that the pro has to secure the bike pannier and how much it costs?

Additional part required to secure the a bike that has a pannie

Easy to install. Just wheel your bike back onto it and lift it up. It’s so light to lift anyone can do it. Velcro strap straps the wheel to bar to keep the wheel straight and simple to move to where you want by lifting bike and stand at the same time. Reduces so much space and great for studio flats like mine

Works well, should come with some bungy elastics, I bought a bag & much more sturdy with a few bungies. But Still Works

Easy to use and assemble. Perfect if you are looking to store a bike in an apartment.
It also comes with a strap to prevent the front wheel from flying everywhere.

    Great space saving solution!

Was easy to assemble and took 5-10 minutes using just the picture diagram (the booklet contains more detailed instructions if required).
It feels secure once built and the rubber feet prevent it from moving on the floor.
Mine is holding up a heavy mountain bike and once I got the bike properly on (have to make sure the wheel is properly in it) then it balanced fine. My only gripe is the strap. The Velcro isn’t the easiest to get tight and if not tight enough the front wheel will tilt and make the whole thing appear less stable. A strap with a buckle that could be pulled tight would be better.

A good space saver even for a heavier bike

Perfect and stabilises bikes. Easy to put together just follow instructions. Great use for compact/small spaces, just what we needed! I ordered another one!

Bit of a fiddle to assemble as some holes didn’t quite align, but once there is a good solution to restricted space. Sturdy and well balanced once adjusted correctly.

Fits my gravel bike perfectly but fouls the seat shaft clamp on my road bike. Irritating to have to lift whole bike into position rather than just roll back and lift front.

So glad I bought this. Was easy to assemble. Found the instructions after I put it together. So wasn’t tricky at all. Which is always a bonus. My bike is now tucked away in a corner rather taking up one whole side of my dinning room!

Reasonably easy to put together, but I’d recommend using your own allen key as the supplied one is so soft it’s useless.

I have a bike with a pannier rack so I went with the ‘Pro’ version, this add-on is useless as supplied.
The bike is stable enough without the additional arms, and it appears to be impossible to get them tight enough to stay in position, so as soon as you catch them with the rack they just move, so they offer no additional stability (not that it needs any).

The supplied Velcro strip used to hold the front tyre in place is badly designed as you have to wrap it over itself, adding a buckle that allows you to fold it back on itself and get the correct tension would have been a much better option.

Overall it does the job well, the bike is stable, but just stick with the standard version.

With very little room in my flat to keep my cycle, I thought this is the best option. Fits perfectly in the corner and so easy to use. Could be a bit more sturdy, but as it’s not expensive, it serves a purpose.

    Ideal for a small fla

It wasn’t quite as simple to construct as I was expecting but nothing arduous. Given some of the reviews however I was a little dubious of the stability, for my road bike though I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that once adjusted it was quite stable.

Quick & easy to assemble. I was really surprised at how sturdy this is considering how basic it looks. Used it for my mountain bike. Didn’t place it in the best location at first so kept bumping into it. But despite wobbling a bit, the bike never fell over no matter how hard I knocked it. Eventually moved it to a better location under my stairs. Overall very impressed but still think it is a bit pricey.

Was initially a little sceptical and didn’t have high expectations but after a little working out, assembled relatively easily and whilst it won’t withstand any serious knocking, it functions perfectly well to keep my road bile out of the way and in the least amount of space possible.

  18. DebI63sutepyuzt says:

Surprisingly sturdy stand despite the wobble. I’ve bumped into it a few times and it held up fine!

The stability However is achieved by a large t bar that requires a large footprint that requires some floorpace so you can’t “tuck it away ” in the corner. As long as you’re happy using your bike as a showpiece you might like this.

Large footprint. Looks unstable but surprisingly sturdy

Bought this stand to free up floor space in a small room. I’ve used it for a drop bar gravel bike, and it works pretty well for this. I was a bit concerned that my cat (who likes rubbing against my bikes) would somehow manage to topple it, but a month or so in and it’s remained steadfastly upright. Like the old TV ad: the bike wobbles a bit but doesn’t fall down…

I think it could benefit from some way of fixing the bike to the stand – e.g. a rubber strap that goes round the seat post where it rests on the stand, or around the back wheel – for an extra bit of reassurance. But it’s doing the job I needed it to, and it’s lightweight with a small footprint, so that’s a minor point.

I was actually happy with the purchase however, the stand is not good for bikes with very thin tires (21-26) as, while veritcal, the rear tyre slides and doesn’t keep a nice position. Maybe with the Pro version I’d have had different results. Item returned.

This bike stand is very stable, strongly built and easy to assemble. They give you both a one sheet assembly guide and a longer booklet. Make sure you align the arrows. The vecrow strap stops the front wheel moving but is not a particularly clever solution. Other stands have a metal arm. I’m not sure which is best. I guess the strap makes the form factor of the stand more minimal, which I like. Recommended.

This is the 2nd bike nook we have. For some reason the pre made holes did not line up correctly with our 2nd item, so we’ve had to miss out a screw.

Also the Velcro strap to hold the front wheel stable is not long enough for my partners mountain bike, so we’ll have to find a different solution to keep it in place

Otherwise a good item and great for making better use of the upward space in the garage.

I have 4 of these bike racks. They are a real space-saver in the garage! Very easy to assemble and sturdy. 3 are used for road bikes, one for a mountain bike. The mountain bike is a little less stable due to the top-heaviness of the bike, so the handlebars rest in the wall.

Daughter received her first proper grown up bike at Christmas ( 20 inch ) ,with it being her pride and joy she doesn’t want it kept in the shed & wants it in her bedroom ( I guess until novelty wares off at least…. I hope ! ) I’m sick of having to move the thing to get past or hoover up etc – so purchased the bike nook pro – very straight forward instructions, I wouldn’t say I’m very good at DIY things but managed this fine , all tools provided . Now it’s in the corner of her bedroom out of my way and it’s freed up so much space. The strap to hold the front wheel in place is great too.
Daughters happy , I’m happy – is it expensive for what it is ?, maybe but it’s solid not flimsy metal – and can use it for years to come as she needs different bike sizes.

I bought this for my wife’s Whyte Carnaby, and it’s a good stand. Feels very stable, and saves a good deal of floorspace in the spare room. Assembly is straightforward, although a little fiddly.
The only downside is that it’s very easy to scratch the rear mudguard against the stand. Because the bike has a rear mudguard, I paid the extra 10 for the ‘pro’ version, which has a bracket that’s supposed to help with that – but it doesn’t help at all. In hindsight, I wish I’d saved the tenner and spent it on something soft to stick on the stand to protect the mudguard a little better. It may be more worthwhile if you have a luggage rack, but to be honest I don’t really see how.

So overall, a good product – but be careful if your bike has a rear mudguard.

This is a great space saving solution although I was disappointed at how wobbly the part that holds the bike up is. No accidents so far but it could be better.

Update: ended up returning this item as it was too unstable. I think it was faulty and I found a cheaper bike stand on Amazon to use in it’s place.

This is well packaged with clear instructions that are easy to understand, and fits together quick and easy without any issues.

It’s stable enough, and holds my Cube Acid medium mountain bike with 29″ wheels and 2.5″ tyres, and my rear mudguard doesn’t cause any issues.

If the bike takes a decent knock it would probably tip over, but for something being out of the way it’s perfect, as we need to fit 3 bikes in our porch.

Really useful for people living in a flat with no place to store their bikes safely. Storage in a living area isn’t ideal. But this really does make a difference and reduce the footprint of a bicycle and it won’t be sprawling as you try to prop it against something. With regards to sturdiness: A heavy mountain bike like mine will feel unsturdy, but if correctly put in the stand it’s not going to fall over unless you walk into it. There’s also quite a bit of bend in the stand under the weight. If you have a light weight road bike it’s going feel really sturdy I would imagine. Best placed in a corner against a wall as much as possible. If you have no where safe to store your bike it could be 40 well spent.

I ordered 3 of these in total and all have been well built. They hold my bikes (all 700c wheels with tyre thicknesses ranging from 25mm to 35mm) securely and save a huge amount of space in my living room. Two out of the three stands were extremely easy to assemble – the last had an instructional sticker that helps you align the parts stuck on the wrong way round which meant all of the screw holes were a few millimetres off and made assembly impossible until I reliased the sticker error. It is well built and will likely last a long time but I still believe it to be a expensive (I paid 40 each) given that it is only a few small peices of steel.

The whole stand gives a feel of quality and a sense it will last.

This is reasonably good and for the price I can’t grumble at all. It works on my teens mountain bike. That said, the wheels are 24″, and quite thick mountain bike style. The unit seems to grip the wheel underneath when in horizontal/normal position but in the virtical position it doesnt seem to grip it and allows the bike to wobble side to side. The upright post where the sadle pole rests on was a bit of a hassle to get the right height. It was too high then too low. Even at the right height, because my teen has the seat as far down ad it can go, the pole doesn’t rest fully in place. The clamp that tightens around the seat pole rests in there and it is not a round shape. So it wobbles there too. That said, we have given the bike a push or two and it may very well wobble but it didn’t fall over.we gave it a reasonable ‘oops a blind in one eye teen will probably walk into the handlebar that sticks out a bit’ kind of push and it still didn’t fall completely over.

Some tips….. we found that putting the front wheel strap on before lifting the bike up is best.

We also found that allowing some slack means that when upright the front wheel strap can be slid up towards the handle bard while resting shoulder on the front wheel so you can adjust how tight you want it is good.

We also found that the front wheel pointing stright up is actually less stable than a slight turn… not a big turn! We turn the wheel slightly towards the wall. It also moves the handle bar upwards slightly which may be useful, depending on how tall people walking past it are.

We also found that having the wheel/bottom/single end part on the T shaped angled towards the wheel a bit also helped with taking up less toom and we could place something, in our case the ool filled radiator stored there prior to the bike stand placement, in front which may help stop people walking too close and hitting the peddle or handle bar..

This arrived and it was extremely easy to put together. It came with some basic assembly instructions and a second more in-depth set.

I do have to remove my tool/carry bag that is under my seat but that is easy enough.

I live in a flat so this is a great space-saving idea. Plus there are no fixings to I don’t need to damage any walls. I can also pop it in my car when I visit my Dad’s and I can store my bike in his house when visiting without getting mud on his carpets etc.

It is a little unsteady and I wouldn’t want to knock the bike or catch it with my elbow as it might list to the side and fall over but it’s in the corner so this shouldn’t happen.

I rent a small studio flat and don’t want my bike to be cramping up the place all the time, so I bought this bike stand hoping I could pop it in the entrance hallway. It does hold the bike up freestanding, however if you so much as brush past it, that enough for it to lose its centre of gravity and fall. For me, it’s not a problem because I can just lean in against a wall anyway, and it’s 100% sturdy then. But I would say only buy this if you intend to have it against a wall.

This is very easy to put together and a simple design. It probably costs much less to manufacture but you’re paying for a smart design. My standard men’s road bike is just between two size noggles but it works well. It doesn’t say on the instructions bit I’d advise the back wheel sits flush up to the back of the unit. That way it seems to be more stable. Does a good job to save some space in my garage.

I live in a rented flat, so can’t screw any racks to the wall, and I needed something to free up the space my bike was taking up. This stand works a treat. It’s easy to assemble, you can adjust it to your bike, and it helps free up quite a bit of space. It does seem a little wobbly side-to-side if you knock it, but if it’s in an out-of-the-way corner then that’s not really an issue. Definitely worth getting if you need to regain some space. Keeping my bike in my very small flat room meant it was always getting in the way, this stand keeps my bike out of the way and the foot print it takes up is much smaller now. The bike is very sturdy on the stand, I have bumped into it a few times and had no worry about the bike falling out of the stand. I like that it is movable and not fixed to the wall. I rent and fixing a stand to the wall was not an option. I like that it is movable and if I decide to keep my bike in the hallway or sitting room its as easy as picking up the stand.

Golden Review Award: 81 From Our UsersYeah, this is ace. My missus and I have just both got bikes and as such we’re struggling to find space for them. I chose to keep mine outside under a decent cover, but I’d noticed a couple of surface rust elements on the pedals and so we’ve had to keep both indoors. We don’t really have the space for them, so decided to clear the lobby (partially hence the mess you’ll see in the pics). My missus spotted this stand on here and cos we now both needed to move indoors I took a punt. The reason it felt like a punt was that the pics really do it no justice and I was concerned about the number of “it falls off too easily” comments.

Construction – It’s really easy to put together and adjust. The whole thing is held together by 5 nut and blots and a further adjustable screw is there to change the height. It took less than 10mins to build.

Sturdiness – Unless your bike has razor thing velo track tyres or ludicrous fat tractor tyres everything should be fine, the ridge (which I have shown) accomodates most bike tyre sizes across MTB, Hybrid and Road bikes. The bike shown had 700x40c tyres on it and fits more than comfortably. The rubber feet are dead solid, we have a halfords bike stand which grips the tyre, but mounting it is a pain as I have to stand on it as the feet don’t grip so the wheel rolls in, these rubber feet anchor themselves to flat surfaces which means they job of rolling your bike on is hassle free. In terms of topple, check out the vid, yeah I don’t go nuts pushing it, but it takes a hard nudge and I’ve used it whilst doing some changes to the setup. Don’t get me wrong, the anti-gravity nature of it means I won’t be letting the cats mess around by it, but it’s showing no signs of movement.

Another thing the pics fail to show is how the angle of the bar on the floor changes from front to back which is one of the keys to its stability, so I’ve added a few pics showing the height difference with measurements(again, excuse the floor detritus, we’re in the process of clearing to fit two bikes here).

One cautionary thing – If you have mudguards, lights and reflectors on the seat stem, you will most likely have to loosen them unless you have the ones shapes around the wheel as they will most likely get in the way, and a pannier will have to come off when mounting, so it’s worth considering what is most important in that situation.

That aside, this is an excellent purchase and come payday, we’ll be getting a second one to put my missus bike in here and free up our kitchen.

It's great, the pictures they use just don't do it justice.

Super easy to set up. Saves so much space. Also looks quite cool. Since buying it, two friends have bought one each.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFinally got these fitted up and in use, as they arrived the morning I was heading out for my hols 🙂
Don’t quite fit a couple of my bikes perfectly and sturdy, but still manages to do the job. Can’t fit the Velcro strap round the wheel and bike to keep in place as a longer suspension travel, have overcome this with bungees. The saddle height and positioning of light holder had to be altered to sit in the cradle. But for my other bikes they fit fine and the strap fits on the shorter travel. Overall, they do the job I was hoping for and I will be investing in a couple more, now I know they actually work. So much more space, it’s great. I can move around now. haha

The product is good, its lightweight easy to set up and store your bicycle, if you have a large bike can cause the bike to wobble on stand but has not fallen yet.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought two of these for my bike shed. They are very easy to assemble and move around. They fit perfectly against the shed wall under the pitch of the roof.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEffective way of storing a bike where there is nowhere to put it. Only downsides would be that it is quite bulky and really easy to knock the bike off.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersThis stand seems to do a good job so far. I live in a small studio so I need to use every small space I can find. This way the bike is not in my way and looks nice. It took me only about 10 min to assemble it.

It's a good space saver and seems sturdy

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe instructions for this are excellent & the rack fits together very well. It’s almost a joy to build. The adjustment is simple bit works well, so well that I bought a 2nd rack for my own bike. This now fits both my Whyte 905rs with 27.5″ rims & dropper post as well as my wife’s Whyte 802 compact with cut down seat post.
It’s easy to fit the bikes, but I would not say that they are that sturdy. There’s no front to back wobble, but side to side feels very wobbly & I wouldn’t want to accidentally give the bikes a knock when they are racked like this.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat product, great price (although I believe it has now increased) but having said that, it does the job well – tidier storage and very much needed. A good purchase- would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWhat a fantastic idea / product / design. So well manufactured with easy assembly instructions, it took 5 mins max to put together. I did order a couple extra velcro straps following another review which just holds the back wheel more secure to the frame. However, his product cannot be faulted, my daughter at Uni can keep her race bike secure in her room with minimal space taken up. Rarely do I write reviews but I was just so impressed with this I had to shout about it. Great value.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersEasy to assemble and is a god send since we rent and haven’t really got a lot of space for the cycle. One annoyance is the velcro strap for securing the wheel seems iffy. I can’t get it to be 100% taunt all the time, so it lists. Can’t figure out if it’s the strap or me though.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersI am renting and so I couldn’t get a bike rack that needed to be drilled into a wall. This is perfect and makes my bike look like a feature in my living room. Surprisingly really sturdy aswell, takes a good push for the bike to fall. Very simple to set up. I can’t think of any faults!

    Perfect for Renting
