Ever time I use it I keep saying “where have you been all my life” it is an absolute game changer for me. Cuts the work in half.
It started making a clicking sound and nothing else was happening when I first switched it on but I looked up a video on Bissell and it said it is NORMAL as it is the pump pushing the water through and lo and behold it DID stop and then the steam started coming out 🙂
I bought it for my holiday chalet which tends to get very grubby as when left unused cobwebs , bugs , dirt and flies etc build up and the chalet tends to be damp and musty and it also tends to attract rodents when empty so I need something which HYGIENICALLY cleans all the floors and kills germs etc
I found some of the dirt ‘stuck’ in a line as it was DAMP so the vacuum did not suck it up but apart from that and I reckon there is a way not to wet the dirt first etc but all in all it worked a treat and I reckon will so even more once I get the hang of it as I hoovered first and then mopped but found it more back breaking and defeated the object of buying it and I found doing both at once worked just as well especially on dry dirt but the more I use it I feel I will find solutions to any problems with the damp dirt not being sucked up , practice makes perfect and just a pity I had to buy a separate steamer for my worktops!
I am happy with this 2 in 1 and I wish I bought it sooner in all honesty
Super easy to use , although it can take a couple swipes on tough marks .
Scented disks are a bit too strong / chemical smelling for me though I mostly use Method products or diluted Zoflora in the house .
This has made cleaning the floors so much quicker and easier . I have both laminate and vinyl flooring and it works perfectly on both . Floors come up so clean ! Love it !
Firstly, this one was bought to replace my previous one. I’d had the old one for 6 years and it was still going strong until it fell and the handle snapped.
Although I wasn’t planning on replacing it, I’m now very happy that I did. The efficiency of the vacuum cleaner is far superior to that of the previous version. There are always oak leaves being brought or blown in during the winter and it coped even better than my Dyson cleaner does with these.
Also, even though people comment on it being loud I can vouch for the fact that it’s quieter than it’s predecessor.
Seriously, if you don’t want to take time vacuuming or brushing then washing your hard floors give this a try. It’s brilliant.
It makes my life so much easier, I don’t have to vacuum my floors and then mop them, I do it all in one.

Best purchase I’ve made in a while! Hoover suction is stronger than I expected. Steams my floor brilliantly leaves them very clean. I did read some reviews on floor marks so what I do is spray the floor with a flash floor cleaner/water mixture then steam over. Leave windows or door open and it dries super fast and shiny with no streaks what so ever x
I love this vacuum /steamer. I’m disabled and find it very hard to clean the floor, especially with 3 pets. This steams & vacuums at the same time. There’s even a little pocket on the steam cloths to put a vacuum freshener! Steams beautifully. My helper loves it as well!

This item is one of the best on the market for the price, its simple to use and clean. It does not over clean just does enough. I hope it lasts as have had many cleans steamers

An absolute game changer! The pipe does clog really easily but is so easy to take off and clean out. It’s not overly wet so wont damage my floor. I’ve been using daily. Just wish I’d brought extra cloths

Quite happy with my purchase. With the hoover, it makes it easy to start the cleaning procedure straight away as the hoover can be used first followed by the stream to clean the floor. Very good as it keeps the floor shining after cleaning. Good value for money
I love this!!! Vacuum on it isn’t the best but I expected that and it saves me so much time vacuuming and steaming at same time. Heats up very quickly. Very easy to use.
Really pleased I got this-Cleaning with the steamer still takes a few goes back and forth to shift stubborn stains (eg bolognaise) from vinyl floor it is still infinitely swifter than hoovering and mopping and being able to simultaneously hoover and steam is a game change
Love everything about this for hard floors and two dogs …..
Steaming the floors used to be such a chore, I’d have to hoover everything first. Now, I just plug in this baby and a minute later its ready to go, hoovering and steaming at the same time. The ease of doing this means I think nothing of doing a hoover steam every ither day, whereas before I was lucky if I could summon uo tje motivation once a month!
Easy to fill, covers easily washable, stands up on its own, takes up very little space, lightweight yet sturdy, and ready to use suoer quickly. Have used on tile, laminate, and vinyl all with superb results. Fantastic.
Excellent for hard floors but would not recommend for carpets. We had a problem with our Vac & Steam a little over a year after purchasing. No steam was being produced at all (fault with water pump). Contacted customer service and a replacement was sent out within a week!

Really good amount of water to do a whole house. Really good lenght of cord.
The BAD: This is loud on hoover. You will not be cleaning with this while the baby sleeps!
It is heavy. You feel you have had a workout when finished.
All in all, I would buy again. I have saved so much time with this and time is the most precious thing!
Also, I got delivered to Ireland. The exchange is good at the moment so got it at a steal.
After my Vax gave up, I bought this. Now I don’t need to vacuum first and then mop. I can do it in one go. I can now save 50% time of floor cleaning. My Vax often used to spill water and floor was not that dry. With this one, you won’t even think the steam is working as it silently cleans the floor.
But there are few things to know before you buy this. I am a collector of vacuum cleaner. I have Miele, Dyson, Shark, Henry and vac robots. I have carpet washer and spot cleaner from Bissell. They are fantastic! So here are my advice:
1. It cannot be your only cleaner as it does not have other accessories to clean corners, stairs, and it is a bit bulky. The vacuum cleaning is powerful but not as Miele or Henry because its motor is not pneumatic.
2. It does not have HEPA filter
3. Mop cloth is nice and does its work better than other brands. It has an elastic band to keep it in place.
4. Easy to use and the cord is long.
This is a good brand, so go for it.
OK so bissell steam and vac arrived 5 days ago and have used it once. Really great machine. Not heavy to use. Have a kitten and a puppy and floors have never been so clean. Great on the laminate floors and tiles which is our whole ground floor. Very long cord, starts steaming quickly, does a great job.

Wish I had bought this months Ago! Only have tiled floor in my kitchen and bathroom but this has been a life saver. Owning two dogs, one being a hairy labrador this has been great! Muddy paws and Labrador hair is gone rapidly
Bit on the heavy side but does the vacuuming and steam clean in one.

I bought this in july last year and it’s not fit for purpose. Steam pump gone, rubbish on carpets and it’s under 12 months old

My friend had the vac washer model but I like the steam mopping better.With two Springer spaniels in the house only place with carpet is the stairs.Usually I have to vac steam mop then vac again .Not anymore ! Wish I had known about this product sooner what a God send. So easy to use the added fragrance disc smells amazing have ordered more. My partner is still sticking to his old method as he says it still leaves hairs,but he’s using it wrong I stop the steam once cleaned and just vac over where I steamed when almost dry works a treat. I have laminate ,pergo tiles and ceramic and real wood flooring worked great on them all. Thanks Bissell x
I’ve only just received this unit, but already I have tried it on tiled floors and been impressed.
What I thought was a clean floor was proven otherwise by this machine. I only did 20 square metres or so of kitchen floor and the pad was discoloured and the dust bin had all sorts of fluff, cat hair and other debris in it!
I used the high steam setting, but the floor was dry in around 5 minutes or so, much quicker with the old floor mop and bucket approach. The floor looked cleaner and it was nice to think it was free from debris too.
I can’t think of a good reason you would not buy this machine if you have hard floors. I hated vacuuming then mopping, and knowing it wasn’t that clean still. Now I have a machine capable of doing the job I wanted it to do, quickly and without a fuss. My new house has laminate floors in all but two downstairs rooms so it will earn its keep there too as the Bissell has a low steam setting, necessary for laminate.
One star off for it being quite heavy, but lets face facts; it does a big job, so its quite amazing it’s not heavier.
Five stars for now. I regularly revisit reviews and edit as appropriate so watch this space!
The photo shows just how easy it lifted the ingrained dirt from the worse area when I first tested it with just a few passes. Whereas standard mopping was having very little if any effect on the type of safety flooring I have got.
It does the job it was bought for steam clean carpets and hard floors

It cleans much better than the one I had previously. Although I have had a bit of trouble taking and replacing back the dust compartment for some reason.
I have a dog with long hair who molts all year round, but as long as you use this daily, the cleaner seems to cope very well. I have older lino that is a nightmare to clean but this cleaner got all the grunge up very quickly and effectively. The dampness left by the steamer was dry by the time I moved to another section of floor. Even first time of using, i had the medium sized kitchen floor and hallways clean within 15 mins.
The cleaning head is supposed to be easily detachable but I found it a bit of a pain to attach (you are supposed to put the whole thing on top of the mop section, and it clicks in) and until you get it right, it just comes apart again. But perhaps this is bad newby technique lol. Once it was on, it stayed on.
The steam initially took a bit of time to come through and the pump in the steamer makes a thumping noise for 30 seconds as it pumps the water through. But once the steam starts coming through you can start. 30 seconds is all you need for this to happen.
I did use both mop heads and both were very dirty but in the past I have rinsed them in biological washing liquid solution and reused them on really filthy floors. But you might need spare mop heads if you need to clean dirty floors frequently. The mop heads aren’t the ones that use hook and loop (that quickly doesn’t work) tape to stick to the cleaner, they are elasticated and wrap around the plastic mop head apparatus. So will last. They are good quality, nice and thick with one able to ‘scrub’ the floor. Certainly worked on my floor.
The cleaner also comes with 2 fragrance discs, the instructions aren’t very clear, you add them to a pouch on the underside of the mop head. If you like using herbal oils, I assume you could just spray them onto the mop head.
And as I bought this on a lightening deal offer, I didn’t have to pay 149.99 for it, thank you Amazon!
In summary, a high quality steam and vac cleaner I’d buy again and recommend highly.
This is the third of these cleaners I have owned, so can’t say too much about the cleaners longevity?
Really good does what it says really pleased with it got it very quick .
I’ve got wood laminate and ceramic tiles in most of the house (with 2 cats and 2 kids) and it saves loads of time not having to pre-hoover before a steam/ mopping of the floors. I also use on rugs (I’ve got several in different rooms) as it really refreshes the pile. I use it every other week, as takes me a good while to do the whole of the house, but well worth it.
I couldn’t believe that this little machine would both suck up the dirt and steam clean hard floors. It does exactly as it says and is a marvellous tool to make short work of hard floors. I was a bit mislead by the floor cleaning product which I thought was for this machine, and it’s not needed. I was a bit confused as to whether tap water should/can be used, but asked others the question and I guess I may need to buy some more water filters at some stage if my tap water is hard. It’s neat, not too heavy and I suspect I will never want to be without one again!

Along with the dishwasher this is the most useful appliance for my house.
I live in a large house with 2 floors, a 4 year old and 4 cats, and my house has a backyard… you do the math. This is a life saver. I use it on ceramic floor with max steam and on hardwood floor with normal steam. My floors have never been so clean.
I tried it today on some cat food dry stains on ceramic floor. Perfect results after 2 or 3 times.
I wash the cloths by hand with warm water and pre washing powder and then detergent. I get them clean in 5 minutes.
As for the noise it’s only when you use the vacuum and it’s not worse than any normal vacuum. With just the steam it’s silent.
The cord is a good length.
It’s not as heavy as I thought, I find it easy to use. It gets close to the baseboard and corners.
The only problem is below furniture but in my case it’s not enough to annoy me.
One of the best things is the filter and dirt container never gets wet, the steam doesn’t get in there. It’s great because it’s easier to clean and I think it will last longer. It’s easy and straightforward to clean, I use a brush to get everything out.
After a few months use I cannot praise this enough.
Also I found out that you can remove the wheels and their axis to remove my long hairs that get wound around them.
