Really quick to heat up a room and so portable. Does exactly as advertised.
Lightweight, easy to move around, nice company size and two heat settings that throw out a really good amount of heat. Good rotation and you can also swivel the main heating section at different angles. Also functions as a cool air fan. Great safety feature – if you tip it over or even pick it up, it automatically shuts down.
One star removed as at this price (79), remote is cheap looking and super plasticky. Also, cord is ridiculously short (although manual states that you can use an extension cord of up to 30 metres).
Overall, a good buy (safety feature really is excellent) and I’m pleased with it but slightly overpriced, especially given the remote and super short cord.

After searching through pages of ‘generic’ portable heaters on Amazon, this Black+Decker appeared! Finally, a brand I recognised! I swiftly ordered one for the colder evenings and it’s a fantastic piece of kit! Pan and tilt spreads the heat around and the remote control allows you to use all functions. It doubles as a normal fan as well, so will be somewhat useful in the summer. There’s two heat settings – the fan is louder on the higher heat setting, and the lower heat setting is quieter and better for slowly warming up a small-ish room. Excellent build quality too, so I have no problem in recommending this heater, well done Black+Decker!

Bought for our summerhouse and it heats up super quick. Rotates and tilts or use on the fixed position. A few more heat settings would be good but all-in-all I love it. This will be our 1st winter using it in the summerhouse so that will be the test if it’s up to the job of a good old Scottish winter!!

The heat output is good, it doesn’t come from the entire panel but the portion that does blow hot does a good job. Fans are not powerful and the unit is louder than a standard fan – the unit is not useful as a standard cooling fan as the fans are not powerful and it is significantly louder than a generic cheap fan.

Yeah it’s really good, no problems so far and I have had it for months now.
After endless searching for a portable heater we came across this one from Black & Decker. Our areas for heating, and to remove chill, was the kitchen and dining area, this little heater fulfills all our requirements and has the areas warmed in minutes and before our heating system is up to temperature, it’s also been used in the lounge for a quick warm up. Pretty quiet operation even when oscillating, you can hear the fan when running on high but it’s fine for us as it will not be used in bedrooms. Not a bad looking bit of kit and small enough to be easily stored when not in use. Only disappointment is the cable length, would have been better with a longer cable. Fist of all the look is great, it doesn’t look like a big ugly heater in the corner of the room , it’s super stylish and actually pretty cool looking. The size is convenient also as it’s small enough to pop in the cupboard when it’s not being used.
It heats up a good size room very fast and is also nice and quiet. It has two fan speeds and can also blow out cool air.
It can be set to a timer so that you could fall asleep with it going knowing that it will switch itself off. Or leave it on in a room to heat up ect.

Compact product. Effective for conservatories and to warm a room up quickly without having to put the whole central heating system on.
Heater looks beautifully well made and work very well even at the lower setting that I haven’t had to use the higher 2kw setting. It doesn’t look out of place but somehow adds to the furniture of a room because it looks very modern and clean.
I keep moving it around, placed on the corridor to heat the whole place up, even my adult child can’t believe it’s a heater and we love the remote control, handy. To turn off, it runs for a bit to clear the air so don’t be put off.
My only downside is that I thought it had a ‘cut off’ function if room is overheated or you fell asleep while it’s on but it does not have this function so I just use the timer. I wanted the cool air function for warm days but not sure how much this would do but it blows cool air. All in all, I would recommend it.
