I love this filter. Made my pond crystal in just a few days. It’s only been installed perhaps three weeks, and I can see every stone clearly at the bottom of my 6′ x 6′, 2 1/2′ deep pond. It was simple to put together, and appears to be easily cleaned, compared to my fish tank filters. The light illuminates my full pond and there’s not much electricity used either which is always a bonus. As powerful as I need it to be. Only your imagination will limit in what you can achieve with the outlet flow, or just have it on fountain mode. Not my thing, I like waterfalls and so do my fish.
I’ll be definitely buying another for my waterfall/river into nature pond.

Very pleased with the pump, works very well fish are happy too.thanks to every one for a very good purchase
Comes in a big box with loads of attachments. The pump has it’s own power cord and the base unit for the UV has it’s own powercord. Both need to be fitted to a plug and the plugs aren’t supplied, so I took a plug off my old pump and found another to use as well. Unit is quite big and bulky but not too bad to clean, though will have to replace the material inside once in a while, they say monthly. I’ve had it running for a few weeks now and it’s been good, will need to clean it out shortly, so it will be high maintenance, but it’s on the cheap end for an all in one.
The good thing about the Blagdon pump is that as it says it has several functions light, filter, and several different spray features better than buying several different devices.
Assembly is reasonably easy but there are videos on youtube to show you how to assemble the pump if you are not sure, also videos of how to clean the filter.
As expected I found the pump on Amazon to be quite a bit cheaper than my local garden centre.
So far and its early days the pump is working perfectly.
I liked the pump very much, but it has stopped working and I have been told by the manufacturer to return the item to the seller ( amazon) can someone please help with how to return.
Kind regards. Richard.

Pump and filter worked immediately. Light took time to settle down and first couple of days/nights went on/off intermittently. Slightly concerned after following up reviews on Amazon where people appeared to have a persistent issue with the light but in our case from day/night 3 cycle onwards the light has worked absolutely fine. Very pleased with purchase – recommend.

Great pump so far, pond was green cleaned pump 3 times now looks good
This all in one pond pump has worked a treat in my pond which was very murky like green pea soup! It was easy to assemble and wire into my waterproof electric box. Two wires ( one for the pump and led light, and the other for the UV light). At first the led light did not work even though I positioned the rubber cover over the light sensor so that the light should come alight whether in daylight or night-time. However I positioned the pump into the pond and the pump and waterfall worked ok. Out of the blue the led light came on! So I removed the rubber cover from the sensor and the light went out. After dark the led light came on, so all was working as it should. After a day the pump pressure seemed a bit low so I turned off the power and cleaned out the filters which were clogged up. I did this each day for 4 days and the pond became really clear so that I could easily see all the fish and actually see the bottom of the pond! I will only need to clean the filters about once a month or so from now on.
This is a great pump as it does everything without having to buy separate filters or UV lights.
It does what it says on the box
It is easy to clean,
It would just be nice if they supplied a few extra fibre filters
We were into a third summer of a pond badly contaminated with green algae after the previous twenty two years without a problem. We think the algae was introduced with a dodgy bag of aquatic compost. The pump we were using at the time couldn’t clear it and a larger pump also was unable to clear it. We purchased the Blagdon 5 in 1 6000 in a state of desparation. Reviews that we had read led us to believe that we may have to persevere for a month to get appreciable results. We are now at six weeks and our pond is completely clear and we can see the bottom of the pond which is 24 inches deep. We have had to clean the filters twice per week and they are still filling up with brown silt which I suspect is from the bottom of the pond although we try to dredge it frequently. The cleaning is straightforward once the pump is out although it’s rather heavy to remove and by leaving on the switch for the UV light we are able to check on the bulb with each clean as the inspection cover is in the filter case. This is without doubt the best designed pump we have had, is easy to clean and appears robust in construction. Time will tell on its longevity but I have confidence that, with good maintenance we should get years of service out of it.

The pump quickly cleared the pond. The filter is easy to clean and the only down is the light can not be switched off.
The Blagdon 6000 was a purchase for my parents pond to make cleaning easier. We found watching the online video’s useful before Installation. Also some DIY electrical knowledge useful. We didn’t find any information about fuse amp size so we played safe with a 3amp initially to see how it goes.
So far highly delighted with the 5 in 1 will review again after our first attempt with cleaning the system!
Thanks
Absolutely no issues with the working of the pump & filter once I had completed some DIY.
I was not expecting to open a sealed box to find that the UV contact chamber (item 9 in the manual) and the locking nut on the connecting pipe had not been fitted in the filter body (item 14) thereby leaving the quartz sleeve exposed. Presumably, the unit had not been checked prior to sealing the box.
Excellent as a pond filter or low powered fountain. Too low powered for a waterfall.
It has cleaned up my murky pond and runs 24/7. It will be interesting to see how long it continues. I clean it once a week though that should reduce as it continues toclean.

As easy as it can be, just like Plug & Play 🙂
I have a 2m x 2 m x 1m deep pond and despite using all sorts of cleaning chemicals the water still remained green and the fish invisible.
After suffering this for 22 years I decided to buy the blagdon 5 in 1 6000 model
Wow this is the best decision I have ever made the water is now crystal clear so much so I can see every tiny bit of shingle on the bottom of my pond and my beautiful fish of course.
I clean the 3 stage filter system every 5-6 days depending on the amount of sunshine we have had, it’s a minor job that takes 20-30 minutes but it’s well worth it as you will see by the amount of “muddy” deposits it collects. I’m 13 months into using the pump and have never regretted buying it, just remember to change the uv lamp every season to keep the pond in tip top condition.

This cleared my pond. I kid you not as a newbie. I was lost at why my beautiful 1.2 by 1 metre pond was ugly and green and stinking. This contraption, was easy to put together, easy to clean and really does let you see the bottom of the pond. I only wish I got it on day one, instead of smaller ones. My stones would be sparkling, like a stream. You live and learn. Take heed fellow nature lovers. This one did the job.

Had a better deal on the next size up. I recommend you size up, this is way over the top fo a 500 ltr (small) pond on paper. In reality its about right, sensible fountain. Good water movement but no rush. Flow can be managed also.
Ponds clear, everything looks happy. The wires are long, as it happens PERFECT length to go through a hole in my garrage wall and not present ip enclosure issue. Its easy to clean and needs sensible cleaning intervals. The night light cant be put on a separate timer circuit which id have preferred. Only way to turn bright night light off os remove bulb!
Easy to install and maintain product still doing a job 2 years later. To be honest I haven’t cleaned it as often as I should either. Had to replace uv bulb after2 years that’s why I give 4 stars because 3 year warranty implies to me that it should last at least 3. Saw a lot of bad reviews here and thought I would write this to give balance
Together with Blagdon Pond Clear we went from pea soup, unable to see the fish, to clear water, and able to see the bottom of the pond in around a week. Cannot recommend this product enough, very easy to install, the only problem we had was stopping the unit floating. We looked on the site and found that a small number of reviews mentioned this. One reviewer stated that after weighing the unit down with a brick for 3 days cured the problem. True enough after 3 days we removed the brick and the unit stayed submerged. Very happy.

We had a natural pond for all of 2 weeks but it soon looked green and we couldn’t see the fish we purchased. so we decided to remove that pond and replace it with a new one. we purchased this product and are happy to say that the product is fantastic..its easy to clean and the 3 different types of water features looks amazing especially with the light..the bubble feature we like best as on an evening the reflection of the light looks like there is electricity volts running through the water feature its quite mesmerising to watch..the fish we can see very clearly now…we can actually put the water in a glass and its crystal clear..its easy to set up and install, point to consider you need two outdoor plug sockets. which we already had. we have had this product 3 weeks now , so far so good.

Bought this product based on reviews expecting big things and I can’t believe the difference it’s made to my pond. The water is crystal clear and I can see right to the bottom of my 750l pond. I bought an oversized filter the 6000 for efficiency and easy maintence.
This was the same as the one I’ve replaced in the pond which served our fish well over five seasons.
We had it assembled and installed within an hour, and having had loads of different pumps over the decades I consider it the best for my pond and the fish are having a ball!!

Very good this being our 3rd one in 7yrs. Just hoping this one lasts more than 18mths this time. Find transformer packs up. All in one which is a bonus. Lovely on our 400lt pond
Very nice unit, a bit disappointed that the sensor light is not working , only recieved this yesterday and happy with everything else.
Had this pump a while now, was cheaper to buy the bigger accommodating unit than the one more for my size.
Works well, keeps water very clean, light works well and the fountains are nice too!
Not had to clean it yet but you can tell it’s easy when putting together.
It’s also real nice nearly everything is in 1 piece of kit!

Took it out of packaging just now to set up in pond and NO PLUGS. What a pain as I now have to buy plugs and fit. For the money I paid I expected it to come ready to fit!
bought this to replace the smaller one which was recommended for my size pond. It has been an excellent swap as my pond is clear and hasn’t been like that for a while. Had to clean smaller filter every week but haven’t needed to clean since I bought it. Will have to do within the next month ready for the spring summer months. Very easy to set up too. Very pleased with it. Good product.

I bought this pump a few months ago as our water trough pond got very green and murky. We had to get an electrician in to install the 2 sockets needed and switch we had to buy separately.
The pump cleared the pond completely in a couple of days so we can now see our fish. The pump is easy to clean out using pond/rain water. The light can be set to just come on a night, there is a little flap which can be positioned over the sensor which the instruction book does explain very well.
Highly recommend this pump

This was a replacement pump unit because the previous one packed up after what I thought was a very short time (less than 2 years). It was a good price at just under 100, but it is still a lot of money.
Lets hope this one lasts longer – at least I have a clean pond and happy fish!
This product was just what my pond needed..to keep the water clear ..really pleased with i
I bought this to replace a Hozelock Easyclear that had been installed in my pond for the past 7 years. In that time the water has always been a murky green colour and suffered horrendous algae blooms in summer. So after years of trying everything I could think of, I decided to finally change the filter for a different brand and the results are staggering. Within 7 days of installing the new Blagdon 3000 the pond is crystal clear and we can see the fish even when they are at the bottom of our 60cm deep pond. Quite what the difference is between the two manufacturer’s units I do not know, but the Blagdon does have more filter media and the water seems to flow over the UV bulb in a slightly different way. It is a bit bigger and heavier than the Hozelock but it works and that is the important thing.
Our pond was so green & we have spent a fourtune on green water treatments but to no avail , we decided to empty the pond of 2000lts refill & buy this pump , Well all I can say is buy one of these it is amazing, we can now see the bottom of the pond & all thats going on !! . It was so easy to put together the fountains are lovely & the light is great too & very easy to clean when needed . Thank you .( PS the only thing is when we go out to feed the fish we don’t want to come back in )

The water had turned green in my pond by the time I installed the pump. It was clear within days. The light lights up the bridge over my pond as well as the fountain and looks quite spectacular. It also gives a good flow to my waterfall. The fish also seem very pleased with it!
Having tried a few others without much success in my small pond I finally came across this. The UV lamp keeps the algae under control of course but what really does the business is the large area triple filter system. The final filter at the bottom is a layer of “polywool” and this is what takes out the finer particles. You will need to take the unit out and clean the filters out from time to time but heigh ho, they do the job better than any other make I know. I buy a fresh UV lamp at the start of each season and replace that bottom polwool filter from time to time as it gets too clogged up for further cleaning.

Cleaned up my water a treat but the instructions are not great. A lot of guess work which was concerning when electrics and water are concerned
I had a much smaller Blagdon pond pump which worked great but I wanted something to help deal with the green algae. I went for the 3000 pump because i wanted to comfortably cater for my barrel pond. I used the Blagdon help videos on YouTube and tinkered with the Config for the super rose and after a little Trial with the pump submerged it’s all working brilliantly. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to buy a pond pump! As a heads up, when you go to install the pump you will need two plugs to wire this yourself.

Very efficient at clearing the mucky water in my pond owing to the effective filtration unit and the pond has remained clear so I can now see all the fish. The unit is fitted with an effective fountain head and also an automatic LED lighting unit which gives a pleasing effect at night and the unit is very quiet in operation.
The only comments I would make are the installation instructions are a little vague and I found the two transformers got extremely hot, however, having exchanged the unit which was done very quickly and efficiently, the replacement transformers did not seem to heat up quite so much and I was assured by the manufacturers that this heat is in order. Other than these two items, I am very pleased with the pump as a whole and would recommend it.
Previously had a tiddly pump in a smaller pond and was forever squeezing out the miniscule filter. Now have a bigger pond so bought this best and over-specced it to make my life easier. Good move! Its filters (three of them) pull out a huge amount of algae and stuff, but, a., I service it once every three weeks or so, and 2. my pond is effortlessly clear! Now I can see my fish!
Edit after just over 2 years the pump has died. Although covered by a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty, it is impossible to get through to Amazon to arrange a repair! No longer the 0800 phone and only circular menu options. This has made my perception of and probable future dealings with Amazon take a tumble. Leaving the stars as, otherwise, it’s a great pump
Be cautious.

Had one of these for two years now with no problems, I even left in in the pond over winter and it still kicked off again in the spring when I switched on again. Much better than the Hozelock model which I had before and never really kept the water clear. I have concluded that this is because Blagdon include a polymer wool filter to trap the finer particles in the water – Hozelock do not have this feature. There is one minor matter which Blagdon have not included in their instructions: If you have a pond which can collect various detritous material, the vents from the filter chamber to the UVC chamber can get blocked thus slowing the water flow considerably. Fortunately it only takes a couple of minutes to clear the blockages with a piece of fine wire or similar. Would I recommend?, Yes definitely.

ot yet install this yet but it should be easy just fill in a big pond it had 3 to 4 fillers and pumps to it now i got a 175 gallon pond …
so on this replace and clean fitters and in one place
In general I’m pleased with this product (it is quite reliable and quiet), but please be aware of a few things:
1. please keep in mind that the volume rating of 6000Liters is for clear pond w/o ANY fish and without any overhanging trees.
I’m using it in 1300L pond with 4 goldfish and some water lilies and this filter needs cleaning on a monthly basis.
2. The pump component requires 12V AC 50Hz (~2.5 Amp), so if you want to run it of a 100-200W solar panel, than an low voltage DC->50Hz AC converter would be required. (also UV component requires mains AC).
3. The water dome fountain feature can get blocked quite easily – better run it with water spitting frog 🙂
PS: get yourself an external filter with separate pump if your pond is over 1000L with some fish near a tree.
Bought this pump for my very small pond which continually required cleaning out due to the green algae which formed. Within one week of running the pump, the pond is now clean and the water is clear and the Fish appear happier than ever before. I’m not a wizard with these things but it only took 5 minutes to assemble and insert into the pond. Have cleaned the filters out – a 5 minutes job. It took me longer to work out how to fit the Fountain attachments and extension pipe than anything else. Great product and would highly recommend for anyone with a small (ish) pond. The night sensor light lights up the pond a treat too. Buy one and you will not be disappointed, so long as you chose the right one for the size of your pond.

Excellent product so far. Have it in about three weeks now. Lovely the way it lights up at night. Early days yet but I am very pleased with it. Update April 2019, both the UV light and the LED light have stopped working replaced both and they are still not working which points to a faulty unit. Contacted Amazon but they have refused to do anything even thought there is a three year manufacturer warranty. They more or less fobbed me off and told me to contact Blagdon. Not impressed by their attitude. Blagdon responded and informed that Amazon should replace the item. Contacted Amazon again and they now state that their warranty is only two years despite saying three in the advertisement of the product. Again they were very unhelpful very unprofessional on their side

Pumps brilliant.. Would defo buy again. Only thing could do with being better is the instructions. But other than that the service was great, arrived well before the stated delivery date. And works a treat. 🙂 one happy customer.. Thanks.
We’ve had pond filters/pumps for years, and this one is the best yet.
The traditional set-up is a pump, some hose to the UV, then into a tank with foam filters, bio media, and back into the water. This works the other way round sucking the water in through the top, through course foam, finer foam, very fine thin foam, bio media, UV and then the pump. All under the water, so it will never leak or pump the pond dry. Genius.
Cleaning our old one was a real chore, and very messy. The pump always needed cleaning as it got wrapped in weed, sometimes the hose needed cleaning, the UV was of dubious use after as it was always mucky, and the foam was very messy to lift out and clean. Leave it too long, and it would overflow and the pond level would promptly drop.
With this you can either have a fountain, and it comes with a variety of pipes and spouts, or you can add a hose to use a pond side ornamental object. I’ve stayed with the supplied fountain, which gives a really good ‘running water’ noise. The fountain outlet adjusts in every direction, so if like me your pond bottom isn’t that flat, and the water level varies depending on how much it’s rained, you can still get the fountain to spray straight up from the water level. The LED lights illuminate the fountain and are surprisingly effective. You can cover the sensor, so they don’t have to be on if you don’t want them.
It’s been running for a couple of months, and I waited to review it until I knew how it was working. The water is now crystal clear, which the other products very rarely achieved. It’s really simple to clean. I leave the handle upright as it’s in around 18 inches of water, and this makes it very easy to lift out to clean it. My pond volume is close to the maximum suggested, and has some large goldfish in it. The instructions suggest washing the filters in a bucket of pond water, but it’s much easier to just hose them clean. (I leave the bio media alone unless it’s really nasty.) As you lift it out of the pond, the main weight is the water in it, so I tip it so it goes back into the pond, and then lift it out nearly empty and much lighter.
It’s been really well thought out. Once the pump dropped off, and this was due to the fitting holding it to the main body unscrewing. I did have to take it completely to bits to re-fit that bit, but that was only 4 small screws and some time. I have been cleaning it weekly, but I’m probably contributing to that by using treatments for blanket weed and muck digestion, making it work quite hard. You know when it needs a clean, as the fountain gets smaller. There’s also algae which needs cleaning off the lights and fountain head to keep them working well.
Handy tip, use an upturned garden soil sieve to put the dirty foam on, and hose through it to clean them. Do it on the lawn, and it’s free lawn food as well. It’s possible to clean it all with only your hands getting wet – with care.
First Class really does the job. Written instructions for setting up could be a little clearer (ie unscrew the ultra lamp unit in order to screw pipe into side of unit.
Bought as a direct replacement for one that failed – was cheaper to buy this unit than the parts!
Works well for a small pond and the UV filter keeps the water clear (although the bulb supplied didn’t work)
Easy to change the filter and low maintenance make this a great little pump and filter combo for a good price.

Worked straight out of the box although I did give it a wash down first to make sure no manufacturing chemicals remained. The different IP ratings on the power supply’s and the provided cable lengths do mean you cant locate the supply’s together unless you coil up some of the cable or cut them to length (supplied connectors are moulded.. Dooh!). So, be aware that you may need to make compromises as to the placement of these or purchase connectors.
Bought this Inpond All-in-One Blagdon Pump with Fountain after previous trouble with two other pumps. This does exactly what is says and after two weeks we got crystal clear water after the pea green water which the goldfish had to endure all summer! It is easy to take in and out of the pond as it has a foldable handle and it is also very easy to clean out and maintain. It is an excellent product and I love when the fountain lights up at night and gives a lovely effect. I would recommend it to anyone as a pump that will really work.
This is by far the best ever pond pump that i have used. In just over a week the pond water is clear. I have yet needed to clean the pump itself which is pretty impressive when you think of the state of the pond. BUT, beware. It has 2 plugs which are not included. I happened to have an electrician on site when the pump arrived. Otherwise I would have had to send it back. For this reason I should really only give it 3 stars, but it is such a fantastic water feature that i just could not bring myself to penalise it because of the incompetence of those who do not give clear info and do not add 2 plugs.
We have a pond which is quite shallow 450mm and 3metres by 1.5 metres that was bright green with algae and we wasn’t sure if the pump would be up to the job, but within a week of installation we had crystal clear water. there is still algae clinging to the side of the pond but that too is gradually clearing. we have to clean the filters quite often at he moment but I am sure this will only need to be done on an
occasional basis in the future. the only downside is that to stop the whole pump floating to the surface we needed to lay a small paving slab on the bottom of the pond and hold the pump down with a bungee strap
I like the idea of this pump and filter together, its quite large and it would be ideal if you had the dimensions on the amazon sale page as it only just fits i my small pond after moving a few plants. Its is powering a waterfall with a head thats about 1.5m away and 1m above it with a nice trickle, if i was not using the fountain also (i was not going to but it looks quite nice) there would be quite a surge of water going down so happy with its power.
on delivery the item just came in its original box so looked like it had been opened, not a security tape or seal on it, the grunts that now deliver from YODAL (the worst UK delivery company next to UK FAIL) just knocked on the door handed it to me and drove away, all very suspicious but upon checking the items they were there.
Its only been on over a weekend so cant review performance yet as a filter and its very difficult to check that the lamp is still working as the pilot light under all the filters. You do need 2 electrical points to power it, again this is not mentioned on the site so if replacing just an old pump you may want to consider this.
Light was not screwed together very well from opening and took a while to fit it and check it was all secure, as with all the other bits. Blagdon do some nice products but there info online is very poor and instructions as always limited.
This is brilliant. It does a great job of keeping our fish pond clean. The light works perfectly and automatically. The fountain is a great effect, and you have a few choices to suit your taste. A few people have asked me where I got it from now. It’s a good safe purchase, and one you won’t regret. We’ve had it a year now with no problems at all. The filter is also very easy to clean.
Wish we had bought this years ago! We have struggled fighting green water and excess algae for years as our pond is in full sunlight and we have koi . We installed this on Tuesday evening and by Wednesday morning the water was clear! We have never seen the bottom of our pond until now and the fish were always swimming around in cloudy water, now we can see our fish again. The only thing I would say is it wasn’t clear from the description if this would be suitable for our very shallow pond (45cm). We decided to risk the purchase and it is absolutely fine.
Highly recommend this product to anyone who has a small shallow pond with green water problems-it’s a miracle cure.
Well constructed quality product, the bell fountain looks great especially illuminated at night with the built in automatic light. It’s almost cleared my 1500 litre pond in 24 hours (and it was pretty murky). My old Oase 2500 was OK in my old noddy pre-formed plastic pond but not good enough for the bigger pond. The All Pond Solutions CUP-359 I initially bought was faulty, generally poor quality and useless in this size pond. People that complain about having to maintain in-pond pumps should do their research and buy the right product before complaining, all in-pond pumps need regular cleaning but are neater (don’t need hose all over the place) and don’t need something to hide them outside the pond. This hits the brief on quality and function. Can’t comment on how it functions if you want to supply a stream or waterfall in addition to the fountain as that’s not what I bought it for but imagine there would have to be a compromise. The only criticism I have is the fact that it has 2 leads and needs 2 plugs, I’m sure the design could be altered to use 1 lead but it doesn’t detract from my overall experience.
“All singing all dancing” solution for small ponds.Works well although nozzles and pipework are a bit flimsy and I have already had to repair a crack in the pipework with Araldite.Shame some of the parts are not available as spares. Typical Chinese quality plastic but what do you expect for the price.
Bought the Blagdon 3000 pump/filter kit for a 945 litre pond.
The Good
Firstly very simple to install. Filtration looks fine as can see the bottom after just approx. 24 hours of use. Night light attracted me to this product and is a very impressive feature at night. Fish seem to like it too :). Sensory LED goes off by day which is neat. Very practical filter locking system with handle as part of the filter casing. Beware – filter does weigh a little when taking out of the pond due to the water inside so would suggest that when taking out with handle that you might want to support the underneath.
The Not so Good
The pump is not strong enough to pump water to the top of my waterfall through about 2.5 metres of hose at the highest setting. This is disappointing on what would otherwise be a top product.. You will need a spare plug as not one included. In comparison to the Laguna Series filter/pump kits I’m not sure it competes as is not as powerful but would still expect the Blagdon pump to be powerful enough to service my pond waterfall. Will use a separate pump for this… This product varies in price and is a good buy for under 100. If you are looking to spend about 150-200 would recommend the Laguna products..
The filter works well but is very heavy to remove for cleaning because of the weight of water held in the filter. The first time I used it the handle came away. The handle is a crucial component as it locks the filter lid. The screws had come out – possibly not assembled properly before dispatched as no one has complained about poor design. You cannot request a part from Amazon you have to return the whole unit which seemed wasteful. My email to Blagdon customer services has not been replied to after 3 weeks. I have now written to them and in the mean time have had to wire the filter housing on.
Update
I sent a letter to Blagdon explaining the problem and asking for a new handle as it seemed a waste to return the unit. I received the handle within a couple of days. It appears the first one was faulty as I have had no problem with the new handle. Water is drawn in from the top unlike other filters I have used. I have found that this means the filter does not block as often.
I have only had the pump installed for one month in my pond so it is not long enough to say wether it is doing what it says it will by keeping the water clear continually we will have to see ask me in a years time and I will be able to give you a proper rating, but sofar so good
