Love the look and feel of the keyboard. Well made, feels solid and super tactile.
The Good – It’s a very well made, beautiful looking keyboard with a rock solid connection via a cheap bluetooth 5.0 dongle plugged in to my PC with zero signal loss or cutouts from upstairs to downstairs. So good, you can play Doom Eternal with no latency issues whatsoever. The keys are very tactile and reassuringly “clicky”.
The Bad – Like many keyboards sold on Amazon in the UK, It has an American layout for some reason. It also has no function, delete or arrow keys, like most compact keyboards I suppose. It is a pain, but not insurmountable, you just have to hold down an extra key to use these functions.
The crux of it is that for the money this is an incredible little keyboard, if you can Ian Beale with the aforementioned issues.
It has very clicky blue switches , stabilisers were lubed ,won’t get fingerprints on key caps easily, many choices of RGB lighting. With Bluetooth, this keyboard is definitely worth it if you are searching for a budget blue switch keyboard that supports either wired or Bluetooth. The only downside of this keyboard is that you can’t program it so if you want a programmable keyboard, step out of this one
This is a nice keyboard – good quality of build, quick response over bluetooth and adjustable back lighting.
Perfect for sitting in my gaming chair and using – its lightweight and small sized (doesnt have the arrow keys).
Its decent value coming in at under half the price of a branded keyboard (e.g. a razer one is over 100) but with similar features and functionality.
Minor quibble is it is very noisy – its very obvious when your using it and the key strokes are loud
Nice gaming keyboard, very easy to install, you can either do it by USB port or by Bluetooth, you can use it with a pc, laptop, tablet or mobile phone, it changes very easily between devices. The led lights in the keyboard are really cool it has different modes. The quality overall it’s high, the only but it has is that it can be very noisy which could be a problem for some and not for others, it is mechanical and the sound it’s normal, in my opinion I quite like it. For such a versatile keyboard and quality I think the price is not bad at all, battery last a long time, this will also depend on usage. I definitely recommend it.
This Keyboard is just awesome. I do not only use it for gaming but also for general computing. The built quality is great, well put together. The caps lock indicator is very important in my line of work. Most 60%-Keyboards don’t show caps lock status. So I was very happy to find that this one shows caps lock status right on the caps key, rather than having to look at a caps light on the other side of the Keyboard. On this one, the caps key glows white.
It feels great to type on this Keyboard, nice clicky feedback sound when keys are hit.
There are no dedicated arrow keys. They are clearly printed on the side of W, A, S and easily accessed by pressing the FN key. All the letters that do not have their own dedicated keys are accessed via the FN key.
The problem I have with this 60%-Keyboard and all 60%- Keyboards I have used is how to do ‘ctrl-alt-del’. That is because ‘del’ does not have a dedicated key, it is accessed as FN->Backspace. But doing
‘ctrl-alt-FN- Backspace’ does not work. Well, this is a gaming Keyboard, not a general-purpose Keyboard.
The kids absolutely love this keyboard. They mainly use their PC for gaming and it is an excellent compliment to it. They love the way you have control over the RGB and the different options there. It is good that it can be connected using either a regular USB or using Bluetooth. It is also handy that it can be charged while in use even if using the Bluetooth. Personally I’m not overly keen on the keyboard because it’s a little bit too noisy for me to use but this isn’t something that bothers the kids. For about the 50 mark it is reasonably priced for for you actually get. Construction seems good and even though it is not a brand I am familiar with the right no issues at all with quality. If you have a house of gaming kids We do then this is definitely want to consider.
Brilliant, the lights are great but what I love most is the ease of typing on these keys, lovely and smooth made for ease of speed typing which is essential for me when gaming.
The keyboard comes in a nice retail box, with all the specs and features written on the back. You can run it either in USB-C wired mode and also in bluetooth 5.0. It can charge in either wired or bluetooth mode so no worries about losing connectivity if the battery dies and needs to be plugged in. You could in theory power if from a power bank and still type via bluetooth to another device. An adapter for OTG mode on mobiles & tablets is included also. A decent length braided USB-C cable is included for both wired mode and charging the keyboard.
There are a boatload of function settings and the keys have the FN actions printed on the front so you don’t need to memorise all of the combinations from the instructions. Plenty of options are dedicated to the control of the led backlight. The mode, speed and brightness of the leds all can be controlled using various fn+key combos. If you want extended battery life in bluetooth mode you can simply disable the backlight or turn it down, though I doubt the LEDs have a significant impact on battery life.
The switches are outemu blue switches, which are a very close match to my daily keyboard’s cherry blues. So I’m very accustomed to the noise and tactile feedback of this style. Before purchasing you need to fully understand that not every mechanical switch will work for every person in every situation. Do some research and find out which style of switch would be more likely to suit your typing style and usage habits. You may not like blue style switches for gaming but love them for typing and vice versa. Whether you like the switches or not, they are good quality. Another potential sticking point for people is the layout of the keyboard itself, its an ANSI layout and not the normal ISO layout one is used to on typical UK keyboards.
The keyboard can memorise and swap between four different devices so you can have it pre-paired with your most used bluetooth compatible devices. You can even swap on the fly between bluetooth devices which if you wanted to type on one device then another in quick succession. This would be a great addition to an entertainment center so that you don’t have to manually key in search terms on smart TV’s with a remote or a console for messaging friends. It’s a good sized keyboard for lap typing which I normally don’t do as I find the larger and heavier keyboards I normally use too cumbersome to use in my lap for any period of time.
Overall the build quality is good, the connectivity is stellar and the only reason not to like this is just personal preference. You may or may not like a bunch of things about this like the 60% form factor, the layout, the gamer looks, the mechanical switches chosen and so on. It’d be nice if they had different versions of the keyboard with alternate switches to reach a wider group of users but this is a fine example of an affordable wireless mechanical keyboard that I have no problem recommending at the current discounted price of 53.99 or even the full price of 59.99.
The Hiwing mechanical keyboard feels sturdy in its construction and has a nice weight, Which when placed on your lap feels sturdy and comfortable to use. The RGB lighting can be turned off or on and the brightness levels can be adjusted along with the speed of the lighting. There is 18 different modes of RGB lighting which also illuminates the letter and symbols on the keys depending on which preset mode you have chosen. The keyboard keys feel extremely comfortable as your fingertips can Sit in the shape of the keys. The keys have a nice mechanical click sound when pressed. The keyboard doesn’t have the separate F1 to F12 but the function key along with the 1 to 0 keys act as F1 to F10 and 2other keys axe as F11 and F12. I have only used this as a Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad and TV android box, But this can connect to 4 separate devices using the function key with E, R, T and Y which allows you to switch between each device when paired. The keyboard does come with a USB C to USB A cable that measures approximately 195 cm in length. The cable is also braided and does have an additional accessory which turns the USB A into a USB C. This cable charge is the keyboard and also allows you to use it as a wired keyboard. Overall A comfortable compact keyboard. I hope you have found my included video and review helpful.
At 53.99 (currently), this is certainly not the cheapest keyboard on the market, and the fact that it lacks a numeric keypad and some of the main function keys (Page Up/Down, Insert etc) which can usually be found between the alpha and numeric keys on a standard keyboard, as well as its diminutive size, means that it is probably not suitable as the main keyboard for day to day use with a PC, and I’m pretty sure that if I were to try to use it as such, the mechanical clacking of the keys would drive me up the wall within a few minutes.
However, having said that, I think this is a fantastic product. Although the keys need a good, firm press to register, they are nevertheless responsive. The keyboard is also at a very nice, comfortable angle for typing should you want to use it for an extended period of time. I won’t be using mine in that way, though, I used its Bluetooth connectivity to connect to my Android phone and it not only connected perfectly first time, but adds an extra layer of usability to the phone.
If there is one area where I think this could be massively improve, it’s the horrible typeface the designers have chosen for the keys. I understand that they’re trying to look new and exciting, but for me the design just looks horrible. I’m also in two minds about the backlight — on the one hand, it does make the keys easier to read and looks pretty good, but on the other it’s just an added distraction and something that could have been sacrificed to add to the very poor battery life of the keyboard.
Overall, though, I’m satisfied with this as a usable keyboard and I don’t think the price is unreasonable for what you get.
This is a really cool looking keyboard, the leds under the keys add a bit of fun and really work for a gaming keyboard. It is decidely (and reassuringly) chunky which really gives it that quality vibe.
I have been using it for the last week or so and really like the key action, its nice and firm with good spring back and it doesnt stick. The only slight issue i have is that it is quite noisy. If you are using it for gaming and have headphones on, it probably wont be too noticeable, but if you are typing with it (emails and the like) it cam get a bit annoying.
The bluetooth works really well with no lag, but i also like that it allows you to connect via usb with a pretty long and good quality cable.
Overall it’s a really good keyboard that works well and looks pretty cool.
Really good keyboard, extremely comfortable for long term use and has a sturdy build, extremely reliable and the RGB lights are very crisp and clean also there is many different modes to choose from
Bought this for my son as he has a gaming PC
The item is worth every money spent.
I’m really recommend it to all computer gamers, but not only!
I needed a small keyboard and this works a treat. Nice to use and simple with adjustable RGB lighting. One downside is its a bit noisy. I know mechanical keyboards are noisy (specially when I am more used to soft touch) but this one seems rather noisy. Keys feel good though.
Bear in mind, it is a 60% keyboard so you will not have arrow keys or the number pad.
My husband likes playing games, so I specially bought this game keyboard for him. He used it and told me: it feels very good! The price is also affordable!
Very high quality, loads of different rgb backlight options to choose from
It is specially used for playing games. It is very easy to use and likes colors. The small one can be connected Bluetooth to a laptop to play in bed.
My son adore this keyboard, it works fantastically and they have really good switches. Clean compact design. This is one of the best keyboards which my son used as I would recommend i
The back button is to control Bluetooth or cable connection.
Its really cool feeling when use ,and it can use for the phone typing as well.
Nice and recommend.
