Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a beast. Works brilliantly. It’s my Daughter’s go-to vac for hard floors over Dysons, Sharks etc. My only quibble.I had a Bosch years ago that had a MASSIVE pipe diameter that would hoover up the world. This one just has a standard diameter pipebut still a good vac. Buy again? Yes.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have had this Bosch vacuum for a week now and can’t fault it. The item is very well made from extremely strong plastic The mains cable is the thickest I’ve seen on a domestic appliance. The vacuum is not too noisy compared to other wet and dry vacuums I’ve owned. The suction power is fantastic and should be more than adequate for any intended purpose. The 2 features that made me choose this item were the Power Take Off facility and the water drain point. I am getting too old to carry a vacuum full of water around so this drain point whilst very simple and basic is an ideal added bonus. This wet and dry vacuum is is definitely value for money and I am at a loss to understand why some have left negative comments. I have only had the item for a week so can’t comment on reliability but given the overall build quality, I don’t anticipate any problems.

Works well but the blowing function is very weak, the rigid pipe extensions are quite flimsy and have a cheap plastic feel to them. Otherwise it is fine.

Just used twice and bought it a month ago, power is good and little noisier than expected, but does the job well! I will wait and write review later.

lovely hoover/dust extractor but in the advertising pictures and video, it shows you can plug in a power tool upto 2000w. my hoover arrived saying 1800w ?

I hadn’t thought about an outdoor vacuum cleaner before I needed to clean out the patio drains, having bought this one I can’t think why I didn’t do it years ago! A little more basic than some out there, but for vacuuming the garage, cars and the wet stuff in the drains it certainly punches a hole in one. Don’t wait, but it.

Bosch doesn’t disappoint, a good bit of kit, it picked up rubbles from a concrete fireplace I smashed up. If there was one downside it would be the plastic handle/pipe, a little poor quality, but they haven’t broke yet, but I plan to buy the stainless steel handles like come with the Henry then I’m sure I will have it for many years to come to use.

Great shop vac. Powerful suction with a decent amount of attachments.

Has also made an excellent option for cleaning the car and more practical for doing so than the dyson.

I like this bit of Bosch kit, seems to have a lot more suction than my ageing Van. Especially like the power take off. Not tried the wet suction so can’t comment on that. Blow function is a bonus.

My old Nilfisk wore out so wanted something powerful but quiet, with power take off. Had many Bosch tools over the years & this doesn’t disappoint. Looked at the other alternatives in this price range but they all looked a bit iffy. Very pleased I went with this one. Used with r/o sander on parquet flooring & it’s coping really well & not making my ears bleed which is a real bonus.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this vacuum to replace the same model that broke. It was still under guarantee but I needed another workshop vac so I bought this one and started the process of getting the original one repaired.
I emailed Bosch who sent a return label and they arranged pick up. The following day federal express picked it up and took it away. The next day I received an email from bosch whe said it could not be repaired and it would be replaced. Today a brand new replacement vacuum arrived, boxed with all the accessories less than a week from when I first contacted them.
Not only is this a 1st class vacuum, the service I received from Bosch was exemplary.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersNeeded a, “Garage Vac” and was about to buy a Henry (which are brill btw!) Saw this Bosch and read the reviews. The wet function was the decider. I can confirm that I’ve (personally) found Henry hoover bags do fit (albeit slight effort required) Hoovered my work van before return and suction was incredible! Then used in my garage to suck up dry leaves and all cobwebs. Did a fantastic job and upon checking the inside of the vac, was amazed to find the bag had worked and very minimal (less than 0.01%) in the vac base. I’ve worked in tool hire for nearly 20 years and have seen the best and worst products fail. Always down to user error. If you buy this product, then look after it like an investment, keep the filters clean and bags changed (about a quid each) and am sure this Bosch will give you longevity.

A quality battery operated wet and dry vac, utilising the 18v diy batteries from Bosch . Well built and having the advantage of not needing a mains supply, it is ideal for jobs such as car cleaning and dust extraction. Only gave 4 stars because the cots of replacement dust bags seems a tad high.

This is sturdy, powerful vacuum cleaner. Some real positives are:
    Can vacuum up liquids.
    Long hose and cable.
Power take off is really useful for using power tools. I use it with a Bosch sander and it is quite effective at removing dust as you work. The power take of allows the vacuum to be turned on and off as by the power tool.
The ability to use with or without a bag is great. Using a bag keeps the inside relatively clean.
On wheels so it is easy to move around.
I haven’t done it yet, but cleaning and changing the filter seems simple.
Great product – almost wish it had a good carpet head so that I could use it in the house for domestic vacuuming!

Bought this for a garden project to tackle wood chippings, sawdust, dirt, water and more. Instructions weren’t very clear on how best to set it up for dry vs wet suction. First time I used it on some water, the motor started smoking and I thought it might catch fire. Overall, suction is OK – although not great when using the power tool dust extractor setup, which sucks up maybe half of the waste dust/chippings. For the money, it does the job fine but if I were to buy again, I’d go for a higher spec model.

Powerful enough to stuck the mortar from between your bricks if you wished. This has cleared an entire rotten stables of 30byears of filth, done rough concrete floors from sawdust and mud, the nooks and crannies of a new/old house and you feel it could do anything wet or dry. It also gives the car a thorough clean as it’s much kore powerful than the normal house Dyson. This is very easy to use without bags too. You just open and empty it and carry on within seconds. It is quite loud though so I wear hearing protection when operating, just to be safe. Couldn’t live without it now.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersGreat machine, well built… it is a Bosch!! I have been using this for a week now professionally cleaning cars with no issues, very powerful and quite surprisingly very quiet. Someone complained about the hose in a review, i think its great it not your usual hose its an anti static one which is brilliant it means its much harder for stuff to stick on the inside of it…excellent! Yes the hose can kink a little from time to time because of its hard thick design but well worth the trade off. very sturdy and not prone to falling over is another great point, and the “brakes” on the 2 front castors is a great idea if you are working on an incline!! Just flick a small switch on each front castor and ABS is in full operation!!!! Yes the bags are expensive but bare in mind they are 20 litre bags so you wont be changing them very often…and they are not mad expensive either, the last industrial vacuum i had [a different brand] also had 20 litre bags and they were a little cheaper, but not much!! Your hammer/screwdriver/ cloths sit nicely on the flat top (handy!) and the blower function is a nice touch…also great to know i can whip out the bag and suck up a Lake or two if i feel like it!!! I have say in conclusion at the price point this is a brilliant little workhorse from Bosch, well built and looks great!

What a great hoover, I brought this for work as I needed a wet and dry vac.
This has a blower function as well and is excellent for boiler servicing, however you have to have the bag and filter connected as the suction is so strong it sacks up the float. The hoover head/brush is a little useless as its not very strong and doesn’t brush well on carpets.
Overall I would nearly give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the brush/head.

This is a great hoover – very handy for the garage and car. It doesn’t actually need bags – they just make things a bit tider/easier – but also need to be put in and kept on hand.

The power plug is a useful feature too – working well with the tools I tried it on.

The wheels are good quality and it’s easy to move around, with a good cable length too.

One downside and the reason I give it only 4 stars, it doesn’t come with many accessories – no soft brush or crevice tool and I don’t think any are available. If you compare that to the Karcher equivalent its a definite weakness.

So overall a very capable hoover and easy to use – recommended, but just take a note of the accessory issue if it’s important to have them

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe were having problems with the cold water supply on the first floor of our house. After checking water was still coming into the storage tank and that there were no blockages in the outlets we carried out an internet search to try and identify what to do. From our searches it seems that we had an airlock in the system. One recommendation to try and fix the problem was to use a wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner to suck water through an opened tap, so we thought we would give it a try. We did not have a wet-and-dry vacuum and after comparing various models decided on the Bosch AdvancedVac 20 as it came with an attachment that I could connect my Bosch power tools to, and had a ‘blow’ capability.
We ordered the vacuum cleaner on a Saturday morning using our ‘Prime’ account and it arrived the next day (Sunday). I unpacked all the pieces and had some fun working out where each piece went and what its function was (then I read the instructions) and then went to tackle our plumbing problem – with some trepidation. I set the cleaner up in our bath tub and showed my wife how to turn to on and off – not immediately obvious as it is a rocker switch not one that you simply depress. We open up all our taps, still no water coming through, and I adjusted the gap on the suction tube to its maximum so that I would have the minimum suction setting and then knelt down to hold the tube of the suction hose against the open cold-water tap. My wife turned the vacuum cleaner on and we instantly had water coming through the pipes! Brilliant! We were absolutely thrilled to have sorted the problem out and gave ourselves a ‘High Five’ in celebration. It has been so satisfying sorting out the problem.
I am looking forward to using the vacuum cleaner on other projects around the house, including cleaning the moss from the guttering on our conservatory.
The cleaner is well designed and looks great.

A robust but easy to handle and maneuver wet and dry vacuum cleaner that’s ideal for serious domestic and light office/workshop use- the ability to connect to power tools is a real boon. Great suction and plenty of specialised tools, all round Bosch quality of build, design and reliability, can’t go wrong.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis wet & dry cleaner is extremely powerful and ideal for use in a workshop. It is brilliant on hard floors and sucks up water very well indeed.

My only criticism is that the power/mains cable could be longer and that the brush, when attached, is quite difficult to use effectively on carpets, possibly due to the extreme suction power which makes the brush difficult to push back and forth. The bin/bag capacity is considerable which is essential for a wet & dry cleaner.

Accessories such as a squeegee and crevice tool are very useful and can be attached to the cleaner in the provided stowage areas when not in use, reducing the footprint size of the cleaner and helping with storage. All in all an excellent, high quality cleaning device from Bosch.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA lovely robust machine that trundles along behind you. Great for a large house or office setting.

The initial setup proved a bit of a problem for me. I felt that the brush head didn’t attach very well and it took a while before it stopped falling off the hose when I used it vigorously. The head has an unbroken edge of stiff bristles rather than the usual brush edging that I was expecting, but it works very well on carpet and better than brush on wooden and tile floors. The powerful motor took care of the bits of black fluff that our other hoover didn’t touch so a gold star for performance in that respect.

The hoover comes with a single paper bag to collect dust, but you can run it without as the case is built for containment of wet and dry. When sucking up liquids obviously take the bag out first!

I have a problem with a slow running bath that blocks, so will report back on the wet option next time the bath gets blocked up.

Overall I am very pleased with the cleaner. Really powerful suction compared to my old vac and it’s substantially sized so won’t need emptying for quite a while. Great to have the wet option for blocked sinks / drains / baths … as this is a problem I have from time to time.

The leaf blower option will have to wait til autumn.

    Bosch Vacuum
I used to have one of the older bins off a similiar style and it lasted for years. Although this looks the same they are totally different articles. For a start this one is very quiet and a number of people were surprised and mentioned the fact. It comes with all the leads and extensions that 90% of the people using it will require. The extra bonus is that it can be wet or dry. I would think dry would be what most would use it for. It can both suck and blow for getting into the corners that normally you can’t reach. It comes with one bag which compared to a normal hoover is many times the size and is very easy to put on and take off less fiddling, great extra capacity. The container is on castors which swivel easily and move nicely. The hose and all the sections store on or around the main dust container. The hose which is ribbed is anti static which stops dust build up and therefor less efficient. The lid comes on and off with a couple of flip down retainers and there is a very strong handle. The suck that the machine produces is extremely good and I was generally impressed with all the different jobs that it can be used for. The only note I would say is that it is not for a small house with many corners as the container will catch on corners or bits of furniture as you tow it around. If your house is very open or you are going to use it in a shed, Ideal. The hose, cable and bits and pcs all store on the side or top of the machine when not in use, all very neat. A good length of cable to the plug is supplied. Comes with a couple of different heads for different jobs etc.
The bumph indicates that it can be used on in conjunction with other Bosch products which produce dust. This I haven’t tried but have no doubt that that will be correct. finally the instructions are pretty good and straight forward.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersOkay, so far I’ve barely used this vacuum having only used it to vacuum. No DIY so no need to attach it to a power tool yet. no one has flooded the kitchen, so no floods to suck up. And I haven’t even tried its blow function in the garden yet.

But… I have got it out of the box, looked through the manual and vacuumed a room. And so far it has passed the test.
Its a bit complex to start with, as there is a lot of “assembly” to do – that means working out where the connector pipes clip on etc. So far I have found the homes for everything except the rubber as opposed to brush connector. But it does all go together far more neatly than my old Henry.
The only other really distinguishing feature is when you switch it on, there is a tiny delay before the motor starts. A sign of real German engineering, if a bit disconcerting at first.

Okay – does it suck? Yes! It did a good job of cleaning the floor in my daughter’s bedroom. It picked up cat hair, and unidentified “grit” and with its narrow head seemed to work very well up to the corners and crevices. Nothing seemed to be too much of a challenge.

Key aspects: it works! It isn’t too noisy (unlike the bagless vacuum I tried which was too deafening to use). It isn’t too heavy, although it is a bit bulky and I wouldn’t want to carry it between floors too much for that reason. Everything sows away quite neatly. It is very versatile.

Overall A pretty good vacuum, and at a good price.

Some time later: this vacuum really comes into its own for “unusual” jobs. For example I’ve now used it to unclog bathroom sinks and baths, and it did a really good job. Although I had to clean the tank afterwards it was so much more satisfying and cheaper than getting a plumber.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA vacuum clear that does both wet and dry and is a great tool to have around the house especially for a family. This is made by Bosch. It feels like quality. It is easy to use. There enough attachments for almost anything. I like the fact that it can attach to power tools which is really useful when doing DIY. The suction is very good. I also like the relatively compact way it can be stored. It is easy to use. No hesitation in recommending.
