This is my second as the first had an issue when extending to make it longer. The first machine kept retracting on its own so sent back. Glad to say the second one I have is perfect and does what my old electric on did if not better. No more annoying extension leads just chuck a battery on and way you go. Easy to set up and use.
great machine for lighter work light and easy to carry
Lightweight, easy to assemble (you just pop the guard and guide wheel on) and so easy to use given the extra side handle so ergonomically ideal. Makes strimming a breeze!! Auti spool feed also avoids stopping/starting each time too. Highly recommended!!
I bought this as it is compatible with my cordless drill batteries.
I used it a number of times and got a pretty decent run out of the supplied 2.5ah battery, and the recharge time was a lot quicker than I anticipated.
So all in all, top marks form me.
Sehr ergonomische Handhabung. Dieser Freischneider arbeitet przise und effektiv. Besonders in den Rabatten schont er die Rosen, entfernt aber den Giersch. Genial.
13 months after purchase it suddenly died and after checking obvious electrical connections, concluded that the printed circuit board built into the battery holder had failed.
I am considering buying again but would look for 3 year warranty offers

A bit flimsy, but its not a professional version. Edging goes better for me with wheel off. Also, by not putting weight on the wheel the handle doesn’t collapse.
Easy to set up, and easy to use, only used it once but did the job.

Der Verstellbare Griff rastet nicht richtig ein und verstellt sich deswegen gerne.

Zum Rasentrimmen aber vllig ausreichend
Fr groe Personen nicht unbedingt geeignet, bis 1,80 ok. Kunststoffteile knnten etwas stabiler sein aber sonst gut verarbeitet.
Rapidit, bonne prise en mains et assez lger pour moi qui suis une femme. Vraiment trs agrablement surprise. Ergonomique, facilit pour le mettre la longueur souhaite. Que ce soit pour mon mari grand et gaucher, ou moi petite droitire.

The head adjustments provide a wide range of cutting and trimming options and because of its lightweight, it can be rotated in use to provide a scything action, ideal for trimming our wildflower meadow.
I’d say I’m getting around 35 minutes cutting from a 2.5ah battery, and between 15 and 20 minutes with a 1.5ah.
Despite being lightweight it’s also proving remarkably robust, tackling nettles and larger weeds with no issues.
Highly impressed.

This UniversalGrassCut however is brilliant. The unit comes pretty much prebuilt – all you need to do is attach the guard that stops you accidently cutting your own toenails and also the wheel that acts as a guard against strimming plants you don’t want to. Anything at wheel length or further doesn’t get cut and anything closer than wheel length will get cut.
When the head is flipped 90degrees using the foot pedal that I push with my hand, the wheel can be used to trundle the cutter along the floor for edging. The wheel does seem a bit fragile and so you don’t exactly want to be bashing it around otherwise it’ll break.
I’m using the 4Ah battery from the Citymower and although it adds about 630grams to the 2.7kg, the unit is balanced in a way that you don’t really notice.
The noise is still quite loud but lower in tone meaning it hasn’t got that ear bleeding high pitch scream of the old strimmer.
As with all strimmers it’s important to wear eye protection as there’s a fast moving bit of wire doing the cutting work and it will fling debris everywhere – even more so with the head at the 90degree angle for edging.
The unit can be stored compacted down and then opened up and extended when required. I’ve noticed that the longest setting tends not to lock properly and so it will suddenly click back to a slightly shorter length.
The actual cutting movement is really good and natural feeling. It’s like a modern day scythe with two handles in ergonomic positions and cuts through a wide range of grass and plant sizes. from usual smallish to very tall and dense. It’s also been able to clear the annoying plants growing between paving stones.
I’m really pleased with the UniversalGrassCut because my dypraxia means my balance and coordination isn’t always too good and with this trimmer its possible to stand up normally (not in old style crooked old man) and wave it around in the appropriate direction.
I’ve practically strimmed everything and anything in sight….!

Strimmer cuts normal grass fine. Struggles a bit on coarser grass.
Was worried about how long the battery would last as its tiny… but easily lasts 20 mins or so. Perfect for my needs.
Bit confused with the edging wheel which is so big it sticks out further than the cutter, so had to remove it to be able to do any edging.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but the instructions are typically “Bosch-poor”. A handful of diagrams with no text, to try to interpret.
I really like this Trimmer and it works well for what I need it to do, which is trim around my allotment.
It packs a surprising amount of punch and can cut through brambles and doc weeds, though taking some time and using up the trimming line. It is not a brush cutter, but it does not pretend to be one. The reason I have given 4 Stars and not 5 is that I would have preferred a heavier battery with a longer battery life, but I could always buy a second battery. Charging is quick and easy. I seem to get just under an hour’s charge with moderate use.

I use this for the lawn edges next to a long garden wall. Having the two handles gives it a nice balance and a guide wheel makes it very easy to use. The lithium battery is small and lightweight but lasts ages. I have a matching hedge trimmer which I can switch the battery over when the battery does die but it charges in a reasonable time. the cutting spool feeds automatically and a new one just drops straight in. Very pleased.
Really first class design means that it is light weight and so well balanced that I can use it for long periods without any arm or back strain. It also cuts extremely well, the battery lasts longer than expected and the line auto-feed works really well! It is good that the batteries are from the Power for All 18V range as I now have several spares.
In view of all this I can highly recommend it.
Good strimmer with decent cut, battery life has been solid so far manages to do the edges of a large lawns and around trees, has lasted about 40mins before needing to be recharged.
Downside is the height adjuster, not sure if I have a dodgey unit but when I move to highest setting (I’m only 5’11”) it constantly drops 2 places so I need to bend slightly. Have managed to fiddle and get it to stay at highest setting but it doesn’t stay in place for long. It’s the only downside to an otherwise great machine.
I bought it to replace a very old and very dirty 2 stroke petrol strimmer and so far it’s doing a great job. I was a bit concerned that it wouldn’t be powerful enough for what I wanted or the battery life would be too short, but so far it’s all good.
The battery lasts about 20 minutes, so if that’s a problem then you’ll need to get a second battery. I expect that I will with time.
It’s much lighter and more comfortable to use than the petrol one and seems to get the job done in about the same time. Its also very convenient as it doesn’t involve the usual hassle 9f finding the petrol can, realising its empty, looking for 2 stroke oil, and then spending15 minutes swearing whilst trying to get it started..
As long as you remembered to leave the battery on charge, its available instantly. Its much quieter and doesn’t vibrate as much. An added bonus is that it creates less mess as it doesn’t splatter you with mushed up grass as much.
All in all I’m very happy with it. It could do with being about 4 nches longer, but then couldn’t we all ?

Ergonomisch top. den Akku kann man von unten gegen den Arm legen. So sttzt sich das Gert sehr gut ab.
Schneidet Rasenkanten gut.
Fr den Profi sicher zu wackelig. Die Winkelverstellung hakt etwas.
Fazit: Fr Heimwerker als Rasentrimmer super.
The only thing I would say is that I did get a bit stuck with assembling probably partly my fault as the instruction book is huge . However Bosch Helpdesk sent me a video link which made it quite easy, would be good if Bosch could detail this link with the original packaging/instructions.

This was by far, one of the best investments i made for my garden. Really helps and does a clean job of cutting crass, especially in reaching those awkward nooks and crannies in the corners and sides that a lawnmower cant reach. Very lightweight and easy to handle. Assembling was very easy too. Highly recommend to others as well.

It’s not very light, and the handles don’t make it easy to adjust the angle of cut to get the perfect edge. I’ve found the little guide wheel absolutely useless (I’ve removed it). It works better without it. It takes a little time to get used to working with it, but once you get use to it, it works well – it’s a lot less work compared with manual edging shears!
I really love this product and am enjoying trimming my lawn. Now if only I can get a bigger capacity battery, my joy would be complete. Weldone Bosch

No estara mal hacer la resea al ao de funcionamiento, que es cuando e puede valorar de forma adecuada.
Disappointing build quality. I’ve only used mine about half a dozen times around the edges of a small lawn, and the head of the strimmer already has a lot of unwanted movement on the handle and generally flops about. The rotating head just about works OK, but it feels poorly designed and sloppy. Cannot recommend.
Ich habe mir dieses Gert ohne Akku gekauft, weil ich schon zwei Akkus einer Bosch-Heckenschere besitze. Das kabellose Arbeiten erleichtert die Anwendung ungemein. Dadurch werde ich fters zum Rasentrimmer greifen, was ich beim kabelgebundenen Gert nicht getan habe. Es entfallen auch die Kraftanstrengung und das Bcken beim Benutzen einer Handscheere.
Die Ergonomie ist hervorragend. Das Gert ist leicht, gut ausbalanciert und lsst sich prima verstauen. Zum Verstauen kann der Handgriff angeklappt werden.
Was mich strt, ist der hohe Fadenverbrauch. Der eine Faden gleitet fast ohne Widerstand bereits durch die Fliehkraft aus der Trommel. Bei meinem kabelgebundenen Rasentrimmer mit zwei Fden von Gardena wollte er dagegen gar nicht von allein aus der Trommel kommen. Den musste ich immer von Hand etwas ziehen. Erfahrungsgem kostet eine neue Spule mit Nylonfaden gutes Geld, deswegen der Abzug in der Bewertung.

produit trs lger, rglable facilement selon la taille de l’utilisateur. Il utilise les batteries 18V classiques de Bosch. Comme j’ai dj des outils avec batterie, je l’ai command sans batterie. La puissance des batteries est trs bonne. Pour la dure je ne sais pas mais j’ai fait plus de 50 m de bordures fournies et la batterie tait encore efficace. D’un point de vue ergonomique c’est super, on l’utilise par plaisir.
Der Trimmer ist gut zu bedienen und lt ein genaues Bearbeiten des gewnschten Schnittes zu. Die Schneidleistung (Genauigkeit, Effizienz) ist gut. Die Verstellfunktion (fr senkrechten Schnitt) ist konstruktiv gut gelst, macht aber beim Verstellen einen klapprigen Eindruck.

My neighbour told me about this product so I bought one and I love, love love it. I have arthritic hands, but this is lightweight and easy to use. No messing, just pick it up and go. I have big uneven grassy/weedy banks in the garden and this deals with it all easily. I bought an extra battery, which I would recommend you do, so when the battery goes after 30 minutes you can put it on charge and use the second. Batteries are quick to charge. This is an excellent product. I highly recommend it. My husband thinks it is small for him, but for a lightweight like me it is perfect.
Ein echt tolles Produkt. Akku rein und loslegen. Mal zwischendurch beim Rasen mhen die Kanten und sonstigen engen Stellen trimmen ohne das ein Kabel im Weg ist. So macht Gartenpflege noch mehr Spa.

Super Kombigert wenn man bereits ein Bosch-Akkugert besitzt (z.B. Bohrmaschine). Dann stimmt auch das Preisleistungsverhltnis. Sowohl fr kurze als auch lange Einstze geeignet, hngt von den eingesetzten Akkus ab. Mit einem 1,5 Ah Akku ist das Gert ca. 1 Stunde einsatzbereit. Ab dann empfehlen sich Akkus mit mehr Kapazitt oder ein Wechselakku.
