have been using Bosch for over 20years just moved back to the UK leaving my trusted Bosch power drill in the US, so had to get a replacement there was no question about what I wanted.
Bought this to replace my other my husband somehow got the drill bit stuck.
Very good drill and does the job.
Purchased this item at a good price. I haven’t used it yet but I am pleased with the quality.
Very happy with this drill, needs sds plus drill bits but its worth every penny. No more struggling to drill into brick. Haven’t tried the chisel function yet.
Had the drill gor a while now and its performance has been very good.
Excellent drill for DIY around the house, especially on hard blockwork and brickwork. No also bought adaptor so that I can use my old ordinary drill bits.
Very powerful and light. Used it to drill concreate with no problems and in hammer mode with chisels it is extremely effective.
Lovely bit of kit, first use was removing floor tiles with a chisel attachment.
I already had a rechargeable hammer drill which is most convenient for light/medium drilling work. Also a Titan SDS unit that can do heavy chiselling, breaking up, and drilling. I wanted something that would cope with heavier drilling than the rechargeable (a converter chuck allows use of non-SDS drillbits) and also be capable of light chiselling work such as carving chanels or removing tiles.
This Bosch is ideal. It’s hammer action is a nothing like as heavy and effective as the Titan’s but quite enough for many jobs. Most importantly it weighs about a third as much and is far more easily handled and quiet and so can be used for more than a few minutes without a rest. Provided you don’t expect it to be good for heavy masonry or garden work, you should be as satisfied with it as I am.
I dont know loads about drills i only do hpusehold jobs, but easy to use and powerful.
Seems ok, have to see how it goes. Don’t know if its advertised as Lightweight, its not.
Hi good quality at a very good well recommended thankyou
last Bosch grill last 30yrs hopefully this one will see me ou
The lintels on the house I recently moved to we’re destroying masonry bits in a regular hammer drill. Brought this on the recommendation of a mate. Drills those lintels with no fuss and minimal effort.
Am very happy with the tool. It is very strong just as I wanted. Drilling 20mm diameter holes in concrete is not a problem. Bulkier than I have though from the picture, but size matters to be as powerful. Bosch did not disappointed me yet again.
Don’t normally buy Bosch as ive had problems with their garden power tools , however this is a brill piece of kit and is lasting well so far.
Got this drill into concrete gravel boards as my “good DIY level” drill was struggling. This drill does what it promises and does a professional job on tough surfaces. Highly recommended for the DIYer who would rather spend 100ish on a new tool than a builders day rate.
Very good ads drill
Brilliant price and strong
Also from experience Bosch is very reliable
saved me so much time smashing a floor up, what a tool.
Great value for such a well built drill, as with most Bosch tools i cant really find any fault to complain about. It is fairly light for such a powerful drill so thats an added bonus
Very good, but did get a bit hot with constant use, had to let cool off a few times.
Great product but I ordered the wrong voltage so returned and ordered 240volt one
Does exactly what it should. Used now a few times and I have been happy every time.
Fantastic drill with the guts to do work that handhelds can’t.
Same as my last drill which lasted nearly 25 years, as trade drill, so plenty of use, can’t fault it.
Bought this as my old hammer drill broke down and this one was selling for an excellent price. It’s drilled through some 4 x 4 inch reinforced concrete posts at home with minimal effort. Only one minor complaint (which is my fault NOT the product’s) is that you can only use sds-fit drill bits not “normal” hss/ twist type bits; but that’s down to me not checking….and fortunately I do have another (very good) bosch drill which does take them.
Thank you very good product. It’s very good hammer drill love did, thank you, good timing of delivery.
Really easy to use, much lighter and more compact than other SDS drills I have used. At 89 it is very affordable for DIY around the house, if like me you live in a house made of concrete and a standard hammer drill won’t do the job.
For the money it’s a great drill. Made short work of hanging curtain rails with drilling into concrete lintels
Fantastic piece of ki
I needed a heavy duty drill and this certainly does the job. I am very pleased with this purchase. The drill works great with core bits and sds plus drill bits.
Lightweight drills masonry as if it was butter compared to previous drills
Having bought this, could cry, the past time, effort and drill bits I’ve wasted using a percussion hammer drill.
Still, now I have this, I now smile each time I drill into concrete.
Powerful, and not too heavy. Does the job, and chews through bricks in a few seconds. I’ve not found a way of turning the front hand-grip to a better position, it seems to be set upright.
No instructions of any sort in the box on how to open the chuck, etc.
I use mine professionally. It’s powerful & very comfortable to use.
Great drill the only one strong enough to go through my walls! Not too heavy and easy to use. Now I’m able to do all those jobs around the house
Very good. Every job it’s easy with this. Good price.
Cracking little drill make the job easy, come in a good solid box.
I have been using this on a building site every day for about a year now installing electrics and plumbing, it hasn’t been abused but does get a huge amount of work and it is still going strong! It is light and tough and professional in that if you hit a rebar and the drill bit jams, providing you are holding it correctly, the clutch cuts in and you don’t break your wrist. I also have the 110v version that I have owned for 25 years, it’s a bit of a Triggers Broom but its still just about going! Bosch have hit the correct balance between weight, power, robustness and reliability with this model. It will drill 22mm holes through 30cm of concrete all day (with a 20 minute cool down gap) and I would say I am operating it at its realistic limit. it complains, gets hot and is clearly not happy with 3″ core cutters and concrete and is clearly being abused, for that I have the Bosch SDS Max version.
Excellent SDS drill and great value for money. Does the job more than efficiently and no worrying about running out of batteries as per cordless designs. I bought it for (occasional) DIY use and it feels like a solid well built unit.
I was considering other more expensive brands (Dewalt / Makita) but opted for Bosch as it was so mucg cheaper. Definite recommend.
What a difference to my usual hammer drill. Only way I was able to drill into concrete lintels above my windows to fit curtain poles. Drill went in like into butter. Very pleased with purchase.
… I was trying to fix a 3×3 (appx) wooden gate frame to a concrete fence post. I was using a decent quality 8mm concrete bit (Bosch) with a fairly standard rotary hammer drill. The bit cut in about 3mm and went no deeper. All it did was get red hot. Even hammer made no progress. I tried another location but still no progress. I was beginning to think that I’d hit metal reinforcement but there was no sign of this. I don’t like to be beaten so I ordered this Bosch drill which arrived in a day or so complete with the SDS bit that I also ordered. I read the instructions (thousands of pages in a million languages and about 6 in English – but hey!) What you do is lubricate the drill shank and push it in by hand until it clicks. You can then pull it out and in a little way (a bit) but not all the way out. This is the way it is supposed to be. I invited my lovely, but critical, wife to witness my new drilling skills. It laughed at the concrete as it cut through it as if it were polystyrene and I nearly fell off the ladder. Quietly and with no drama the remaining 3 holes were drilled in a similar fashion. My wife also laughed and wanted to know why I could not have done this in the first place. I’m still waiting for her to hang the gate! If you drill concrete or brick or similar hard stuff I would say that this drill would be a good bet – early days though.
Great tool lightweight and easy to use took the plaster off my Victorian high ceiling walls with ease. Easy to change the drill bits.
It’s Bosch, so it’s good……but at this price, it has to be bargain of the century.
Very powerful SDS drill/hammer. Small enough for comfortable use and the integrated clutch is a safety feature that all the machines should have. It will never spin out of control.
does what is says heavy duty great piece of ki
Nearly half the price that B&Q were looking.Highly recommended.
Had a few of these now, last one was stolen. A great drill at a fair price. I’m an electrician so it’s used daily and worked quite hard. Bosch is brillia
As usual fast delivery with amazon prime 🙂
This Bosch sds drill dose the job with very little effort, I have only used this particular drill once but bought it as a replacement for the same drill I had stolen
I would 100% recommend this to both trade and diy
This is the best drill I have ever owned hands down. It makes drilling holes in any material effortless and the hammer only action is great for removing plaster from walls.
What a fantastic drill, I have used SDS drills for a long time now, if you have never used one before then you are missing out, the drill bits last forever, I have only ever burnt two out and broken one in about 10 years.
As for drilling through brick or concrete, then this will be like putting a knife through butter compared to struggling on with a normal masonary drill.
I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
Money well spent in time saving alone.
I have engineering brick in the house and I done in my dewalt coreless drill and millions of drill bits! So I decided to invest in a sds drill for the big jobs and for Bosch sds at 60 can’t complain and it’s a cracking drill my walls are like butter to me and my sds! Great but still got a cordless this is only for big jobs, if you unless what a sds drill is Google the difference in drill don’t buy this to put up pictures on the wall.
I already have an impact drill, but bought this one too for 65, since I needed something more efficient for concrete and solid walls. I’ve used it already for a project in the garden and I have to say it’s worth every penny. Drilling 20 mm holes in concrete and a bit of chiselling was very easy and fast. The drill is relatively light for its power and I had no problems using it for a long time. It looks and feels very well built, so hopefully its 3 years of warranty (if you resister online) won’t be needed. I highly recommend it to all DIYers.
There are cheaper Chinese hammer drills on the market, but if you find this one for 65, it’s a real bargain.
Don’t forget to buy an SDS+ drill set if you don’t have one. I picked the Silverline 633750 SDS Plus Masonry Drill and Steel – Set 0f 12.
PS. I wouldn’t pay 95 for it. The Hitachi DH26PX is a much better choice for this price.
Excellent drill. Powerful for most jobs but also light enough to use all day. Usual great Bosch quality
Good quality drill, plenty of power for most jobs and nice that it has a case that’s large enough that you don’t need a degree in jigsaw puzzles to get the cable back in without fuss like some of my other power tools!
“And now we are complete” – this drill works great. It’s light enough to use for an extended period without getting tired, and is every bit of quality you’d expect from Bosch. It’s very easy to use: The dial to switch between drill/hammer-drill/hammer is smooth and easy, and the trigger is soft and variable. All in all, a joy to use.
Excellent piece of kit, highly recommended! Drills into concrete lentils like they’re not there! Very light and easy to use.
Amazing hammer drill worked perfectly for knocking down a small wall
Excellent product. Has already done much work and works well
Quick delivery. Great tool 20 no holes 16 mm sds into concrete to 200mm deep no problem
Absolutely love this drill. Goes through walls like butter! Very powerful and a smooth drive which makes it easy to make an accurate drill.
Would reccomend a cordless on the side of this for smaller jobs but apart from that a fantastic price of kit.
Does what I want it to. There are more powerful drills out there. But this is fine & from a good company. Until I bought this I was using my formans it never let me down. That’s why I got my own.
Excellent drill. Generous and substantial mains cord. This drill is idea for masonry and use by DIYers where cordless are neither necessary nor cost efficient. Important to use high quality SDS Bits.
great tool you cant beat Bosch always a good price.
Well worth the money comes with carry case couple of drill bits and chisel bits and works superb thanks.
Fantastic drill used Bosch hammer drills before and this one is better..
Plenty of power from this tool. Great with Bosch chisel trio set for tackling age old bathroom tiles!
I wanted a powerful lightweight SDS Hammer drill and this fits the bill. Exactly what I wanted.
An excellent piece of kit! Fabulous service, arrived next day and drills through millstone grit with ease!
Excellent drill, great price for a powerful yet light drill. The chisel function is a very useful addition for light action work such as hacking tiles up or chasing cables in walls
LETS JUST SAY ITS LIKE PUTTING A HOT KNIFE THROUGH BUTTER.
Seriously drill bits just fly in to masonry. my old JCB drill Served me well for twenty years but was hard work compared to the Bosch. If this lasts twenty years i will be a very happy camper.
Best Drill I have every had this drill will go through anything
what else can anyone say just the bes
