The product is as per Bosch standard and excellent. The disappointing part is that 20 accessories are promised and only 2 are delivered. Who is responsible for this ??

Great piece of kit from bosch and its build quality is top notch. My only gripe was with the sanding attachment which seems to work great at first but with a little use it quickly overheats the attachment itself and melts the plastic hooks for the velcro making it really difficult to stick down new sanding sheets. For all other jobs though this performs exceptionally well!

Good tool. I have a collection of 8 Bosch tool and love Bosch. The problem is, Bosch India has the worst customer support. They don’t even respond to your queries, forget about support.

A really versatile piece of kit many different uses with the vast range of attachments.I mainly use mine for undercutting door jamb frames and skirting, whilst fitting flooring products like vinyl tiles or laminate for a much neater finish as a professional installer.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have given 4 stars as I haven’t even used it yet, mainly because of AMAZON recommending the Saxton SH13CS01 blade kit for it and as you can see in the photographs the BOSCH is a Starlock system with allen key. Starlock is the shape of the back of the blade, the way it sits into the blade holder. So I should imagine im not the only one who will be sending my blades back!
    Nice one AMAZON.
Appart from that when I switched it on its got a lot of power(which can be adjusted from 1-6) and the BOSCH professional range is good well made stuff. I have burnt out 2 Erbauer multi tools which were cheap rubbish.

Had seen these in use but not used one, jobs came up which needed this capability so after some looking at different makes and models ordered this one.
Nice kit in carry box, choice of blades / sanding etc.
Easy to set up and use.
Very pleased with the product, its quality and performance.

Never used one of these before, but found it invaluable whilst replacing skirting. Can undercut, and cut down existing skirting board nails flush to the wall. Got a few other jobs lined up for it.

    Well made as always
one downside they have changed the mount for the blades from the pins to star shape so all the blades I have will not fit.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWith the exception of two things I think this is great:
    1. it needs to have a better method of locking on – surely it should not be a matter of guesswork how tight the allen key should be to keep the blades in?
    2. It doesn’t come equipped with the allen key – I would have liked to see the key given some sort of locked onto the body of the saw thing like the key on the old drills were. Obviously most people have dozens of allen keys, but even so.

I have attached a video of just how good it is in use with metal, wood and sanding. The video does not show this, but the power cable is also of a good length and was plugged in across the garage (I was turning on and off whilst changing blades and had to move to do this)

This came in a L-Boxx which is great for stacking and spacious storage, to keep the kit and accessories in order. The underside of the lid has a colour-coded chart showing the various blades for easy reference. The manual is comprehensive and lists all of the different blades/accessories with examples of when you might want to use each one, which was particularly helpful given there’s a lot of options!

The item itself is, in my ‘unprofessional’ DIY opinion, reassuringly heavy and substantial – it has the feel of a pro tool, definitely. The cable is long (2.5m), the tool feels ergonomic with the on/off switch easily accessible. There is a variable speed switch to give more versatility. Changing or adjusting the angle of the attachments is really easy – the attachment head is magnetic to hold the blade in place whilst tightening, and the inlay is separated into 30 degree integers to offer multiple angles of placement, good for working in awkward positions!

It’s quiet during operation (the motor itself) but of course depending what you’re cutting into, there’s inevitably some noise. Have used it for cutting wood and metal, and for sanding, and so far, all good.

This would have been ideal for me when recently renovating our house – making light work of cutting laminate/wood floors, adjusting door frames, cutting out power sockets in plaster etc. All that work is now done but it will still come in handy for odd-jobs – particularly for sanding hard-to-reach areas and future laying of flooring.

Depending on what you use the attachments for, I imagine the life span will vary and by all accounts only Bosch branded are currently available. I can’t comment on longevity of these parts at the moment, although they do seem to be of usual Bosch high quality.

So much easier than using a handsaw. I use this for numerous quick cutting jobs like cutting branches into firewood or trimming curtain rails to length. It produces a very fine cut. Be aware if you are holding the item to be cut in your other hand that you are going to feel quite a lot of vibration. It will likely do some damage if you do that every day, but occasionally it’s fine. I always make sure the holding hand has a think glove. You’re likely to get a little kick from the saw as it cuts through the last bit of a think branch so make sure you cut at a safe distance from your other hand.

I find this tool as essential as a power drill now.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis review is for the Bosch Professional GOP L-Boxx 30-28 Corded 240 V Multi-Cutter with 20 Accessories.

The L-Boxx is a strong double handled box which holds the contents securely with clips to lock the lid down. There is plenty of space in the box so you don’t need to be an origami expert to pack it back up. The space easily takes the tool, accessories and cord with space for more. I can’t comment on how it mounts and locks into the other L-Boxx items as I don’t have another one to try it on. My one was shipped direct from Bosch and for some reason they saw fit to attach sticky labels to it including one that acted like a seal across the clip. Unfortunately, these do not peel off cleanly and have left it looking like a right sticky mess. However, I’ll ignore that as this was a pre-launch item, so the end packaging may not be stickered up.

This is a little lighter and quieter than my previous Makita oscillating saw although noise will increase depending on what you are cutting. It isn’t uncomfortable hold and you don’t feel that much vibration. The on off switch is in a good position on top and easy to throw, but the speed dial at the rear is a little stiffer. There is a soft start to this, so no sudden jolt to send you off line! There is plenty of good quality rubberised lead length and fitted with a 3 pin plug. Blades are quick and easy to fit and change over and you don’t have to remove the blade to reposition the angle, just slacken the clamping disk.

There is plenty of power in the motor and the supplied blades are of good quality. Blade lifespan is very much dependent on what you are cutting and you have to bear in mind that there are just a few teeth doing all the work. At the time of writing I couldn’t find any 3rd party blades for this, so it looks like you are stuck with having to buy Bosch make only, not that it is a bad thing, but they are pricey. The inside of the lid contains a list of blade shapes and part numbers. No doubt there will be some 3rd party blades soon enough.

    Good solid and powerful

Very useful tool, and has worked for everything I’ve put it against so far (using it to cut boxing away from pipework, and for cutting door frames away to lay flooring). The only thing it hasn’t done well with is metal sheet corners, but I’m using the standard blade only- so frankly not surprised. I haven’t used any of the alternative blades and fittings- some of them are likely to come in handy so will have to see how that goes.
The cable is decently long, I haven’t had a problem with running out of reach, and its good quality with a larger OD than I expected; it’s very unlikely I’ll damage the cable through normal or even heavy use. The build of the rest of the unit is equally tough and solid, without being needlessly bulky.
Only slight disappointment I have is that there isn’t a speed/intensity variable setting, which would be handy if used with one of the alternative accessories for clearing grout or sanding. Doesn’t get in the way with what its primary function is though, so can’t mark it down.
I’ve only been using it for a few weeks off and on, for DIY rather than a job, and am expecting to get a good number of years from it- will update if that turns out not to be the case! The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because it hasn’t done anything amazingly / surprisingly good- it does exactly what I expected it to do very well.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersIt is Bosch and is a good multi cutter. The 300w motor is a good upgrade from the previous GOP250. It is light to handle and strongly made with a longish cable. One important point to be aware, many websites are incorrectly showing this new model (the 30-28) as having a keyless blade system. In fact this base model will require an allen key to change the blades – in some ways this may be better than the more expensive models in the range as I have noticed people with other models having problems with blades slipping out which doesn’t happen on this model. This base model does not come with an L-boxx unless you buy the accessories kit version, which I would recommend you consider buying as an alternative to this as you get quite a few accessories which would be expensive to buy. If you already have a box and accessories from a previous model, then this is the one to go for as you can reuse StarLock and StarLock plus blades. There is no adaptor include for other styles of blade however.

Of course as with all such tools be very careful to be sure you know whether you want the 110v (building sites/workshops) or 230/240v (standard house mains voltage) versions.
