As usual Briston products are the best. You pay a little bit more. But with ten year guarantee you can’t go wrong.
Great solid product. Stylish design.
Easy to fit, giving a solid fixing to the sink top.
Lever design gives excellent control of flow effortlessly.
Would recommend these to anyone upgrading.
Package arrived on schedule with the contents undamaged.
Bought these at Amazon as half the price of elsewhere. Needed to replace similar old taps that dripped. These don’t drip and look very smart/modern. Installed by a plumber but was done quickly so I assume easy to do. Seem like a universal fit. Slight downside is the tap nozzles don’t seem to hang over the sink or project forward quite as much as old taps they replaced, meaning the water comes down just clearing the sink side. Bought a new washing up bowl as a result as water was hitting the edge of the old one. Plumber registered then with Bristan for a five year warranty. I hadn’t realised this was included. Taps came well packaged without there being an excess of plastic etc. and with a simple instruction leaflet.
Tap works well, the only thing is that on our stainless steel draining board & sink the taps height makes it seem unsteady when you touch the top it seems to give a lot or leverage and movement, so care is needed when swivelling. Takes a bit of getting used to.
Taps were fine and fitted easily, but be very careful.
Fitting instructions contained with taps was out of date with the taps and contained instructions that were simply wrong.
Had to find video on youtube with up to date fitting instructions.
Be careful what fitting instructions you get with the taps.
Used I’d it as a kitchen tap. What else would you suggest?
Very easy to install, it took me about 20 minutes from opening the box to a working tap. At first we didn’t like the way the tap handles were down when off, but when we started using it we found that it’s a much more logical that way.
This set of taps were half price with marking or flaw…..the hot tap turning flag had very slight play but nothing that would effect the operation…….one thing ,,,,if you want to have flags facing you , or away …to alter the position … swap the hot / cold , colored buttons on taps
Not a bad mixer tap, but not without its faults.
EasyFit? Well, yes it was easy to fit once the old Bristan tap was removed (which took quite a while). It took just a few minutes to fit in place thanks to the clever design.
The flow of water is good through the spout, and there is no dripping once the taps are turned off. It’s instant on, instant off.
But there are niggles that have resulted in a dropped star…
First, the diffuser is inferior to the one fitted to our previous Bristan unit. It barely aerates the water at all, so the flow from the spout is quite forceful.
Second, whoever assembled the unit in the factory must have inserted the cartridges incorrectly — the taps are off when horizontal, on when vertical; it should be the other way round.
Third, the instruction booklet. The text in it is far too small and faint.
Very easy to install. Had to swap the ceramic disc cartridges over so that the tap is off when the levers are vertical.
The taps look great and work very well. The height allows us to wash pressure cookers and big saucepans. The water flow is abundant.Great product. We are very pleased with it.
As previous reviewers have mentioned the taps are switched off at the horizontal position and opened by turning upwards to a vertical position.
The pictures are misleading in that way.
If you want the taps to be running in the horizontal position and switched off at the vertical, switch the hot and cold water disc cartridges around.
The actual tap is nice, and very easy to fit.
On a side not this is my second Bristan easy fit tap, the first i had terrible experiences with the cartridges (leaking and squealing) so i’m hoping this one is better.
Even though the first was also an easy fit tap, the base is different (thats why i bought another Bristan thinking all i need to do is change the tap and not mess about with the base and pipes). I at first left the old base in place and just screwed the new tap in to place, it worked however on closer inspection water was leaking in to the cupboard under the sink. So i had to change both the base and the tap (no leaks).
If you then change your tap to another Bristan easyfit in the future be careful that you’re choosing one with the same base.
I ordered one for my house which my Dad fitted and then another for my Dad’s house. I like the tap and so does Mum.
I fitted these Taps to the sink in August 2018. Great quality taps and easy to open and close.
Useful for disabled people. The flow rate is very good and not a problem. The spout is thick and sturdy. When fitting the spout, the screw on the back was a bit fiddly, although not a real problem. I had to change and purchase the aerator as the spray was going all directions.
New aerator ANT A500544CP-BIG1. This advice has been given in the customer reviews and was very useful.
Tip – Use rubber gloves to take the aerator off. So far so good. We are all pleased with the taps so far. Kul
Replaced a 50 year old tap fitted to a 25 year old sink so we were happy to find a suitable replacement. The spout is high allowing a good clearance above the sink to work without knocking it. Taps give good control of flow and are smooth to operate though it would be nice if control was finer at low flow rates. The levers to operate the taps are a little on the long side so project over the sink a little and can be accidentally knocked on/off. The pattern of flow (as reported by others) can irritatingly be broken up into 2 or 3 streams especially at lower flow rates. HOWEVER, that seems to be caused by the gauze filter in the nozzle becoming obstructed. The nozzle can be unscrewed and easily dismantled to allow cleaning the filter with a fine stiff brush e.g. toothbrush or nailbrush. If this doesn’t work for you, I gather the nozzle can be replaced with an aerating nozzle. The brand was recommended by our plumber and has easily obtainable ceramic disk cartridges should there ever be a need to replace them.
Nice looking and easy to operate. However I don’t know why the default on/off position of the levers is, in my eyes the wrong way round. I prefer the off position to be as per the illustration i.e.vertical as they get in the way in the horizontal position when chopping boards are left to drain in the sink. Also, water tends to stand on the levers when in the off position resulting in calcium staining once dried.
I am assured however that Bristan intend the levers to be like that.
This is a great kitchen tap and 2 months down the line I’m very happy with it, but it arrived assembled wrongly – the taps were fitted to the main unit so the “on” position was the “off” position and vice vers). This was relatively easy to swap round however. Also at first the tap sprayed water everywhere occasionally when the taps were on full, but seems to have settled now and I am very pleased with how it works. It also looks great.
Lovely looking taps and the plumber agreed and said they were excellent for the money
Very elegant, good height of spout so can get a large bucket underneath, good water flow so bucket fills quickly from our gravity fed water system,( ie; a one sink hole small bore pipes mixer would have been far too slow a flow).
Pleased with tap. Would have liked it a little higher.
Excellent product. Convenient to use as height makes filling the kettle easy.
This is quite a substantial and robust-seeming set of taps, supplied with brass washers and a built-in aerator. It was comparatively easy to install – the problem being my antiquated and poorly done pipework, rather than the tap set itself. The water flow is easy to control and has a good graduation to it. It’s working well at the moment and I’m happy with it.
Nice tap even plumber said it was nice well worth money compared with some of the cheap taps out there. Plus this comes with 5 year warranty. It gives out a slight spray but not that much. I really got the tap because my old mixer leaked and you can easily fit a kettle under this to refill unlike my old tap
The monobloc uses an easy-fit arrangement which is fixed onto the top of the sink and tightened from below. The monobloc then fits over the stub with the two pipe connections and is secured with two grub screws which means the whole unit is a little wobbly, but it only needs a light touch on the levers to turn the water on or off. It didn’t help the plumber when the two cartridges were factory fitted the wrong way round so the water flowed when the levers were vertical, and horizontal and forward when off. The instructions did not specify the open/close condition with the levers were up, and eventually the plumber realised how to change the cartridges to make it work more logically. The levers are well clear of the surface of the sink making cleaning around the base easy, Happy with the way it works now since it was fitted a month ago.
Two set of these taps were fitted in a catering kitchen and have performed well. They look good and were a reasonable price.
Did buy this during the Black Friday week but I would so recommend this tap design. Easy turn off and on and the Swan neck is a great workable height to get things in and out of the sink.
This mixer tap is absolutely great, solidly built, looks impressive and stylish, from taking it out of the box, complete with washers and brass back-nuts, took about 15 minutes to replace the old set. The swan neck reaches just about half of my sink but it is high and out of the way ( a large bucket goes easily underneath) and it swivels with no force whatsoever, the levers do the same, with everything only finger tight there are no leaks. My only negative point was the aerator attached, tended to splash, so changed for one I had (never throw anything away) with a finer mesh – fabulous – a nice soft aerated flow of water hot or cold. If I ever need another this will be it.
Highly recommended
This is a great tap, good quality and its paddle type taps make life much easier when washing up. Definitely worth the money.
Came in good time, fits very well in my kitchen.
Quality at a great price, the wife loves it, she calls it the monster because of the small taps it replaced but she still loves it, I prefer it to the old style taps too. Fitted easily as well, It is 34cm from sink basin to the top were it starts to bend & the distance outwards is 24cm if anyone needs to know, seems massive but brilliant for filling buckets etc.
Really pleased with this purchase. Easy to fit and looks lovely, just need a kitchen that looks as nice!
This replaced the old brass tap on my butler sink. The contemporary design looks good even in my very traditional kitchen. Easy to clean and robust. I love it. Not cheap but worth the extra money for Bristan quality.
delighted by the price as this had been double on bathroom websites. No scratches at all – is perfect for the plumber to install as a finishing touch to my new kitchen.
These kitchen taps are quality. You can tell how good they are the second you open the box.
They are so well made & I love the swan neck design, as it makes my life so much easier.
My mother as also bought the same taps, as she was so impressed with mine.
I highly recommend these taps, pure quality.
Lovely, but they don’t hang very far over sink, think about that sink your buying them for and measure it firs
These taps are gorgeous; attractive and hygienic to use ( you don’t have to touch them with your hands when washing food etc off your hands) Excellent service from the company that sent them to me too.
