The new and improved locking system is easily operated one handedly by the parents, but made extra difficult for the little ones. Simply push and twist the spherical top of the gate and unlock and pull the gate by the handle to the opposite fixings. Then push and twist the spherical top of the gate again to lock the gate in place. This is ideal for when you’re carrying your little one, or simply have your hands full carrying items around the house. When the gate needs to be opened, it has a silent retract feature to ensure your little one does not get disturbed during their nap. Unlike the usual stair gate that will always be in the way; the Air Retractable Safety Gate is unobtrusively fitted against the wall, allowing for easy passage around your home.
The Callowesse Air 2 Retractable Safety Gate is wider than its predecessor now being able to extend to fit openings of up to 160cm! This allows it to fit in both the narrowest and widest of openings, making the Callowesse Air 2 Retractable more versatile than ever. This is perfect for use in hallways, doorways, as well as stairways, but always read the instructions before installation to ensure a safe and secure fit. An updated version of the instructions are available by scanning the QR code located on the top/bottom of the box.
Within the pack, you will also find a set of skirting board spacers, which allow you to build up the thickness of the wall area, when you are fitting the Air Safety Gate to a wall which has skirting boards. The Spacer Kit includes spacers of 2 thicknesses: 2x 13mm & 2x 5mm.

We use this as a dog gate across our bedroom door to allow air circulation and stop the dog from going in and out.
This gate is a little more expensive than the usual metal gates but it’s great especially on the stairs!! When you don’t need it, you just unlock it and it rolls back into the post. When you are using it, you twist and lock the post, then children can’t undo it!! Brilliant!!
Ideal if baby doesn’t live there so it can be left ope
Got this as have 2 small dogs and wanted to stop them going upstairs and the 1 we originally had was a metal one which was always in the way and wanted something that would be out of the way when not needed. Was a bit dubious cause the reviews were varied but thought I’d risk it and im so glad I did as the risk paid of and couldn’t be happier it has done the job wonderfully and obviously when not in use it’s retractable so no longer having things in my way when I just want to go upstairs and it’s not needed.
The gate was a bit tricky to install at first but figured it out. The spacers included were perfect for what we needed.
Does the job keeping the dog from going upstairs
As we’ve recently taken on a rescue pup we had the need for a stairgate again but didn’t want the hassle of the fixed gates that leave the metal bar across the bottom when open, the number of times we’ve stubbed our toes on them in the past is huge. So we started to look to see if there were any better alternatives, and as a result we came across this one. The design looked good, well thought out and a good quality product so we thought we’d give it a go. I have to say we have been thoroughly impressed, the fitting guides and attachments are excellent, they even provide you with a paper template so no trying to balance the product against the wall to mark the holes for mounting. Opening and closing the gate is incredibly easy and having the ability to lock it either way would be very beneficial when your toddler starts exploring. All in all this is a very clever, well designed product and is streets ahead of the basic stairgates we’ve used in the pas
We are using it as a dog gate in our static caravan and it’s perfect. It’s discreet when not in use and works well as a barrier when needed.

Its a good product, works well, very easy to fit, less obtrusive and obstructive than a stair gate, mine is used as a dog gate at the foot of the stairs.
However, instructions say there is a second set of fixings so you can use the gate elsewhere, – not in my box there isn’t – it would be nice to use it in the caravan, so for that reason I knock off a star.
