I have owned this pc for around a year now and it’s been brilliant. However since updating to windows 11 it has made a significant amount of ram unusable and has low system resources when using zoom.
his little mini PC is surprisingly really good. the CPU is not amazing on specs but the ram is quite fast and doesn’t bottle neck contrary to most of the competitors in the market so it still performs really really well. it’s wisper quiet and doesn’t heat up too much even under heavy use. the only downside is that the shape is quite bulky and hugly compared to the small nuc-like boxes the other mini PC use.

Used for surfing the Web, basic games & light office work. Very fast compared to my old laptop or pc. Neat & tidy connected to the back of the monitor. Got a wireless keyboard & mouse to keep wires & clutter to a minimum. Very happy with the purchase, pity it doesn’t have a remote control or I would get a second one to put on a non smart tv.
Amazing value for money, limited gaming ability, but great for streaming moves, no noise
I like these mini PCs – very good value all round. I used a Beelink for a long time before it gave up the ghost, and that was a good unit. Tried an ACEPC and had to return it (See my review elsewhere on Amazon) but this is a satisfactory replacement / upgrade on the Beelink.
One small criticism is the very old Windows 10 distribution that was installed. It takes a long time and a lot of downloads to bring it up to the latest version, so be prepared fo that if you have a poor internet connection.
Easy set up works well. Not used for demanding tasks but always starts and does as asked without delay. Would recommend at this price range. Totally silent.
I got this to replace a Mac Mini in my bedroom for TV and best thing I have done. This device is perfect for streaming video from my main PC, Youtube, Netflix. I wish I had bought this sooner.
Only had the CHUWI HeroBox, Intel N4100 (8GB RAM – 256GB HDD) up and running for a week. So far so good.
This is not the main Home PC. It was to replace an old PC that never liked WIN10. So this small, silent MINI PC only has to give access to the internet down stairs and feed the TV at the same time when required.
I picked this MINI over the others due to Price, 8GB, 256HDD and duel Screen O/P. I am not a Fan of the processor – we have history. But i thought i would give it a new chance.
The Other Reviews highlighted an issue and it did come to pass. The WIN10 will need to Update big time (1909 to 20HO) – So after the normal windows install questions and answer – Nice Lady Speaking to you was a nice touch – the MINI PC was up and running. But i knew it was going to Update and take all night and it did. I got up in the morning and turned on and it was now WIN10 20H0 all singing and dancing. STill a lot of HDD not used which is good. Its not the Fastest PC but I am not after speed.
This MINI PC will not need to play games or write books. Internet, Emails and YouTube only, i hope for a long life – Which in PC Years is when WIN10 ends.
Nice small and slim box just what I needed at a good price. took a while to update but I kind of knew this from the previous reviews so allowed a day after unboxing to install all the updates including the latest Windows 10 release & feature update. Generally used for internet browsing and it works well no issues so far.
Received The Chuwi Herobox today. First impressions have been very good. Started up fine detected my wireless keyboard and mouse allowing me to complete the initial Windows setup without any hassle. I have added a 1TB HD and an external DVD writer through the USB C port. Bluetooth earpieces installed without a problem and running vga and HDMI dual monitor setup. Office installed and tested with Word, Excel and Outlook, all working fine. Installed MS Teams and attached a video camera through the USB 2 slot, all went well. I copied a couple of DVD’s to mkv format and these play perfectly. Ran a heat processor test and even under stress temperature didn’t go above 80c and the box although warm felt fine.
Wifi is ok although to be honest slower than the HP Laptop sat next to the Herobox. I dont have an external wifi dongle but that might improve things although it would tie up another usb slot. Might consider a USB c to USB3 hub, I’ve seen some that also have a HDMI slot so that would give me 2 HDMI’s with additional USB3’s as well.
Now I’m running Windows updates – now that is taking some time, I’ll probably need to leave running overnight and see where we are in the morning. Be prepared for this.
I have loaded Steam and once the updates have finished installing will try some older games. I didn’t buy this as a gaming machine, so not expecting miracles. I’ll try and feedback on how things went later.
Overall impressions so far – Very Good and certainly good enough for general use.
Additional note. The Windows Home version is 1909 – after doing all the updates I spotted this, so went to Microsoft store and ran the Windows updater, its now running pc 20H2, there were a couple of additional updates to do on this, but I would have saved time if I’d just done this straight away.
This mini pc is awesome for what I use it for (watching movies along with the Hue Sync app). I’ve experienced no problems at all and it does exactly what I need it to.

Silent running and very capable of handling everyday computing tasks. Would recommend Small business or the home.
Perfect for my needs. CPU is a little weak if the plan is to use it for anything intensive like video processing but for the price, it’s beautifully small and compact!
I only need a basic computer setup, the high def hdmi output is great for playing films. They need some fettling to disable the bloatware that comes with Windows 10 but wins for me as there’s no fan noise.

I use this PC for retail trading on platforms like Oanda or plus 500 and so far I have no problem everything works good I also watch football on sky go but the screen has to be HD or lower for the picture to not lag. Anything 4k or UHD and sky won’t work or will lag when this happens just set the display to 1080 or lower otherwise everything else and all other apps or even YouTube are perfect in 4k or UHD and you won’t have this problem with any other apps
Easy set up , I used the pc on my tv for zoom catch up with family members. Great result.
Good performance for the price, with no moving parts. Works well for my purpose as a media server.
Great little pc, good for every day tasks. Only downside sometimes doesnt start up easily
My son bought himself this from money he’d saved. I thought it was going to be a waste of money to be honest but its fantastic!! Super quick and he’s attached it to the back of his monitor so you can’t even see it. Would definitely buy again .
