Should have bought one soone
This is a great tool and has the bonus of using the same batteries as my rechargeable Bosch drill. The supplied blade was excellent and much better than the replacements that I bought – I’ll have to look out for better ones. The saw is powerful enough for all of the jobs I have used it for – cutting timber and copper pipes.

I wish I had bought this before I pruned my other 4 trees. Great Bosch new advanced reciprocating saw with very little vibration as stated and easy to change blade design. I can’t believe the power from my fully charged 18v AL battery. Thinking of buying the Sabre curved saw blade soon.
Works well
I cut both live and dead branches with this and it works a treat. If it’s a branch alrady fallen off, then I fix it somewhere so it doesn’t vibrate while cutting. If it’s a live branch, the cut is clean enough for a good pruning cut.
Much Better Than My Old Black & Decker Scorpio
My Black & Decker Scorpion fell apart when cutting up the branches of a plum tree I pruned right back. Although I’d had it three years it had hardly been used. Changing the blade on this is much easier and simpler that changing a blade on a Black & Decker Scorpion, and there’s no trailing cable to accidentally cut through. Although it doesn’t come with a battery let alone a charger my Bosch vacuum uses the same battery which as I have three I didn’t have to fork out for that.
If you do buy this it does come thoughts are it’s value for money, it does the job and comes with a free three year warranty.
You can go wrong with this item. Easy to use and light. Even my 70 year aunt used it for the first time to cut tree branches down and loved it. So I left the original one I bought to her and bought myself another one. Note buy the larger battery for a longer running time.

obviously limited by the battery but i have two from a cordless drill already so can get quite a lot done. i had to buy the extra blades to get some with better teeth for branch lopping but otherwise 5/5. got these and they seem ok: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0009W868C
Stay safe
A good effective tool for quick rough cutting of fence posts, logs, pallets etc. Practice first and hold it and the wood firmly as one or both can oscillate instead of cut. Get used to it and any cut will he effortless. Easy to change a choice of blades for wood metal coarse or fine.
Really useful saw, battery lasts a long time
I don’t know how I managed without one of these. Really handy saw. It is a bit on the heavy side but can be used one handed at full stretch on a ladder for short periods, pretty much cuts through wood the thickness of the length of available blade. I have cut branches as thick as my upper arm.
One of the best things I've ever bought!
Love this saw – I’m chopping up everything that doesn’t move fast enough! I’m dismantling some old decking and this makes it so easy. Cuts through the deck boards & joists like a warm knife through butter. I’ve also used it to chop down a big bush too. Battery life is pretty good considering what I’m doing (obv. depends on the Amp battery I use). So much easier than running extension cables across the garden to power my old circular saw.
Very pleased with this saw. Used it to trim several poplar trees and it make easy work of it. No problem cutting 200mm thick branches. If you resist the temptation to apply pressure the battery life is very good (supplied bare but I use the ones from my Bosch drill).
I already own batteries & blades.
I already own a mains saw of the same general type. This saw will save me having to bother with extension leads.
The only downside I have found so far is that it runs much faster than I run the mains saw. Which has speed control. I am going to be careful not to overheat the blade.
UPDATE I have now found the the speed is controlled by how far the trigger is pulled in.
The promotion video claimed that you could saw a pipe off right were it leaves a wall. They must have been using a much more flexible blade than came with the saw. None of the blades I have in stock would achieve it either.
Don't know how I've managed without one before.
Simply brilliant. Easy to use and always ready to hand, no plugs and no cables to keep out the way of the blade. Not sure how I’ve managed without a reciprocating saw before.

I’m really pleased with this! Cut through some rusted steel bolts and some wood slats removing an old garden gate. Just about small enough to jigsaw a couple of slots in a board, though a bit awkward for that sort of job. Overall a very good tool to partner the 18v drill I already have.
This saw is heavy, so it’s not easy to hold it with one hand. You need two hands to hold it.

Nie wieder mit Kabel
Sbelsgen sind immer etwas schwierig zu halten.Aber das Blatt geht wie Butter durch die ste.Und mit Akku geht das ratz fatz von einem zum anderen ohne auf Kabel zu achten. Klasse

Die Sge ist der Wahnsinn und ich will sie nicht mehr missen. Hat super viel Kraft und wenn man schon ein paar Produkte aus der Reihe hat und vielleicht 2 Akkus gliedert sie sich perfekt ein.

Die Bosch Akku Sbelsge war ein Geschenk fr unseren Vater. Wir haben noch einen Akku dazu gekauft. Nach dem ersten Bume schneiden war er begeistert von der Leistung und auch von der Akku Laufzeit. Die Sbelsge knnte etwas leichter sein, aber irgendwoher muss ja auch der Strom und die Qualitt kommen. Wrden die Sbelsge jederzeit wieder kaufen. Gute Qualitt.

Für Äste, Gartenarbeit und Hobbywerke
Meine Grundberlegung (und ich bin 60) war: mir fehlt eine Astsge. Einen kabelgebundenen Fuchsschwanz habe ich schon. Aber der Garten ist dafr zu gro und eine kleine Astkettensge ist sehr pflegeintensiv. Die mechanische Sge ist fr die Einsatzmenge dort gut, wo ich per Teleskopstange sonst keine Mglichkeit habe, aber sonst ist meine krperliche Konstitution begrenzt.
Innerhalb von nur einer Stunde war die Arbeit von einem Vormittag erledigt, ohne ins Schwitzen gekommen zu sein. Der Akku passt zustzlich in meine Tauchpumpe. Eine echt gute Entscheidung, die ich da getroffen habe.

Ich kann sie nur empfehlen.

Non mi fidavo tanto di questi prodotti senza filo, invece mi devo riscredere. Funziona e funziona bene: nessun problema con il legno molto veloce con il ferro (con lama per ferro). Bisogna solo farsi la mano per appoggiarlo bene su quanto di deve tagliare. La velocita’ e’ regolabile ma il cursore e’ limitato ed e’ difficile regolare bene, pero’ si puo’. E’ pesante da un lato da sicurezza dall’altro rende difficile variare il taglio. I difetti comunque si possono controllare. Un buon prodotto serio, non un giocattolo a pile.

Nachteil: Das Gert ist etwas schwer – beim Sgen mit 2 Hnden gar kein Problem. Ist aber nur das Sgen mit 1 Hand mglich, erfordert dies etwas Geschick.

Die Sge verwende ich hauptschlich fr den Obstbaumschnitt meist auf der Leiter. Sie erleichtert m. E. vor allem in engen Baumkronen die Arbeit doch erheblich und hlt auch mit nur 2,5 Ah ordentlich durch.

Fr mich ist bei Holzschnitten eine Einhandbedienung ohne Probleme mglich gewesen – unter optimalen ergonomischen Bedingungen. Buon prodotto, ma troppe vibrazioni
Come tutti i prodotti Bosch, mi sono trovato bene, ben fatto ed il prezzo accessibile, l’unica pecca per me che trasmette un p troppe vibrazioni e l’impugnatura con la seconda mano scomoda, rimane troppo grosso da impugnare e si fa poca forza, sarebbe stato utile poter installare una manopola come sui tassellatori.
