I liked the fact that the plug is already fitted.
Easy to install my only gripe would be the flex isn’t very long ,I had to Install an outside connection weatherproof box. But motion sensor is good and light output very good
Easy to install and very bright. Motion detection is also good. The only thing that is wrong is the short lead. It would have been great if it was 3 meters instead of just one. Worked for me, but I had to buy an extension.

Easy to fix. The hole in the metal bracket was a fraction too small to allow the standard UK wiring through. But we went under bracket instead, so no real drama. The only fiddle was realising there’s a small rubber flap on the bottom of the sensor which has two sides. One side to flick between day and night mode. The opposite side is the duration the light remains on. Once that was all set up. It lit the garden up really well.

My carport has no light fitted although there is a nearby electric socket in the shed. Easy to install. Longer cable would be nice on these products. But junction box did the trick

Simple and straightforward to install and setup thanks to clear instructions. Selected this lamp for its warmer glow against the bright white lamp it replaced. As a result it’s less harsh at night but still lights up the area very well. The motion sensor appears very good and the duration is far easier to set than other models I’ve seen. Time will tell how the unit copes with weather conditions in terms of water resistance.

I got this to replace the motion sensor light that was here when we moved in. It was far too sensitive and no matter how we changed the settings it wouldn’t stop switching on for no reason. This CLV version worked much better and it gives off a slightly brighter but cooler white than my last model.
Its very easy to install, just plug in and away you go. It lights up the back garden nicely and you can adjust the time the light stays on for. Personally we have it set to 10 seconds for the likes of putting out the bins or taking in the washing, so as not to annoy the neighbours :), but you can adjust the timing up to 10 minutes on time.
The ONLY problem was the lead wasn’t long enough for where i needed it to go, it could be longer.

Wanted a small security light for above my shed door and this fits the bill perfectly I noticed that the adjustment underneath the pir sensor only has day-night and time on… there is no adjustment for sensitivity but this is not an issue for me …I like the product I will have to see how long it lasts

Bit pointless having plug on it since most use for this is up on a wall .you would have to install a waterproof socket .EU regs state it must have plug .chop it off .or get a spark in to do it.

This is a great light. I use it inside my garage so it floods the whole area as soon as I open the door. Perfect for getting the car in or out after dark. And so easy to install. Just plug in, no need to turn electricity off to hard wire.

Got this one for the front of the house because I didn’t have to mess about no more than what I had to having a plug on it already,But then what a twat,how am I going to get it inside the house with the plug on it, it’s ok if you got outside mains socket on the wall unfortunately I haven’t.

Would recommend this light, after purchasing as previous light fitting that didn’t give off the lumens it advertised.
Light comes on at a 20 foot distance and stays on for approx 1 minute, making it the perfect security light for my home.

CLV 30W Plug in Security Lights with Motion Sensor
This light is, for the most part, a perfectly fine security light. The light panel is pretty bright, and it fixes to the wall with a metal bracket like basically every other security light I’ve ever seen. It has little switches on the bottom for duration, day/night operation etc, which is different to the usual little dials, but work fine. That’s the standard stuff. However, there are a few little foibles that knock a star off for me. The first is that the light it outputs is quite yellow, as opposed to the brighter white light I’d usually expect from this kind of light. The second is the incredibly strange decision to put a standard plug on the end. The listing claims that this makes it easier to install, but given that this light will generally be placed on an outside wall, where are you supposed to plug it in? I don’t think many people have a handy outside plug socket ready to go, and the cable isn’t very long, so there’s not much option to run it inside either. Still, if you’re prepared to cut off the plug and just wire it up, then it’s no worse than any other I’ve seen.

Do not be fooled by the 30W title on this light, it is 30W however it is an LED light which means those 30W are super bright! So bright it will hurt your eyes if you look directly at it! Well constructed in its metal shell it feels robust and durable. Thanks to its IP66 waterproof rating this light should withstand the worst of the British weather.
My only concern is the moulded on 3 pin plug. You certainly should NOT be plugging this into an outdoor socket as it will compromise the water proofing on your outdoor socket thus making an unsafe connection. Drill a hole through your external brick wall, cut the plug off, and wire it up correctly and much more safely by using a junction box!
This is a great security light for your garden. I’ve actually been using this for my shed to work in there with a bright light. The motion detection works good and you have an adjustable timed limit on it. This is so much brighter than the old halogen one I used to use. This is also more economical on power than the old one. It was easy to set up and get fixed on to my shed door. It seem to have a good seal on so should be pretty waterproof but like I say I’ve used it in the shed so I’ve not been able to test out how waterproof it is.
The lead is long enough and comes with a standard 3 pin plug. I think it’s pretty good for the price and would recommend it if your after a bright security light.

I just love led lights and this one its one of them.They are very bright and so much cheap to run.Easy to fit because its coming with a uk three pin plug.The only thing I would say , a longer cable would be good, but maybe is just me.

This is an incredibly bright motion sensor light. I have it on my driveway. The motion detection is quite sensitive but not so sensitive that all the neighbourhood cats set it off. It was relatively easy to install and for the extra security it adds it is worth the price. Very good security light all round.
Excellent item that provides good bright light and comes with all the fittings including screws and raw plugs. I put this up in less than an hour and it works great. The motion detection is spot on and you can set it to be on day or night or both. Much better than the halogen type lights that I always find break in no time.

Ingenerally speaking, this a lovely PIR floodlight light. It is very nice and bright, you can use it as a general security Halogen light, it has PIR motion sensor and it is waterproof too
This light is perfect for back gardens or outdoor events. For 30w the brightness is good enough. Wire comes with a UK plug but unfortunately the wire is not very long so you might need an extension cable or you’re lucky if you have power supply somewhere near.
Motion sensor works pretty well, can caught you from a good distance. There are two modes day and night and timer setting for the period of time you want to keep the light on. This is a 3000K warm white light with 3000 lumens.
Overall a good quality light and reasonably priced.
It’s a decent light, first impression was that it felt a bit budget with the seams and edging or the general finish feeling a bit on the rough side.
The light is fine though and you don’t notice the rougher finish when it’s up. For 30w I would have expected a brighter light when comparing to my internal led bulbs that are around half that or less and seem brighter. The 3000 temp is a nice warm glow and it all works well, the plug being on the end is both a blessing and a curse. I don’t have many outside sockets around and especially not high up so I ended up chopping the plug off anyway but it’s good to have that option. I almost replaced my internal shed light with it then I could just plug it in.
The motion sensor works ok, a few times a stand there waving my arms at it like a lunatic but most of the time it comes on, it seems to always come on first time but if I’m back and forward it gets bored of me it think.

Its a become very handy for us the only down size is there is only a short wired plug attached so a extention lead is needed where we have it placed so far.
The light comes boxed easy to set up take out of box and plug in to power source this outdoor light. Ones already with a plug however the wire is not so long I would not be able to mount on my wall outside as the wire is long enough from outside to power source . I’m very happy with Quality of the light is very bright lights up my entire garden right to the back It was just perfect. As I’ve not mounted my light I’ve placed it next to the window and plugged it in inside my home and it’s facing outwards so if there is motion detection it’s still lights up the entire garde

I have 2 small lights covering the bin area at the back of my garage, the side of the house and this one being a decent brightness lights up my garden for the dog. I did have a large floodlight that I frequently forgot to turn off and I know it annoys the neighbours when left on. This one is a lot better as it only comes on when needed and I don’t have to remember to turn it off — winner, winner! The internal wiring is all done for you, you just need to connect it up to the mains supply. For me I run an internal spur in the garage adjacent to where the wire comes through and then reattached a plug to it. Job done in about 30 mins total. If I had to wire it up to the house, it probably would have taken a lot longer.
A good bright light, ideal for a small garden as a security deterrent or for the dogs convenience!
Got this for the inside of my garage.
Now when I open the door the inside lights up giving me plenty of time to get what I need or switch the lights on without fumbling around in the dark.
Really easy to use just screw bracket to the wall and plug in, the Sensor picks up movement from 180 degrees and the 3000 lumen light fills my garage.
This is a really nice security light, it comes well packaged and with almost everything you need to install it.
The first problem i did have was the length of the cable is way too short, better to be too long than short and at only 1m i feel its too short, also some black cable clips would have been nice to hold the cable on the wall. It seems to assume everyone will put the light right next to a power source. Also the bracket you straight away notice is going to put the light at least 20cm away from the wall, which is really too far in my opinion. Now thats all the negatives out the way, i can say it does have a lot of positives, its really nicely made, the light and sensor can be adjusted to point where you want them and once its all set up the sensor works really well and provides a nice bright warm light which is exactly what i wanted over the cool white ones out there.
Its 20.99 currently which is about the same price point as other 30w PIR sensor lights out there currently so its good but if goes on offer becomes a bargain.
One 30w Led floodlight wired onto a 3 pin plug. It’s very well built and has got heat sink fins on the rear. It’s rated IP66 and has a motion sensor.
The front window is made out of plastic.
I got this 30w 3 pin plug to use indoor as well as outdoors and it didn’t disappoint at all. I am very happy that I went for this lower wattage as it’s enough for what I need it for, for example, garden party, indoor decorating and extra photo light source.
I was a bit disappointed with the plastic front window and had expected it to be glass, but since it was only a 30w power, I’ll be understanding.
It’s a portable and convenient light which you can take it with you. The sensor works just fine.
The cable is long enough for my needs and I have an extension cable should I need a longer cable.
I am very satisfied with the build and quality of this product and think it’s very good value.
This light has potential and would be perfect if they could address a couple of things.
Firstly, this boasts 3000 lumen from 30W of LED output, which is very bright – bright enough for most people to cover a medium driveway.
The white is slightly cooler than I’d expect from a warm white bulb, but it rated at 3000K rather than 2700K of a typical warm white.
The PIR sensor works pretty well, and didn’t seem to trigger too often, though I had to point the sensor downwards in order to prevent passing cars from setting the sensor off.
My biggest gripe though is with the power cable. It’s only a 1M cable, and that cable unfortunately ends with a moulded plug. This means you can’t just lengthen the cord using a junction box, but instead must cut the cord and replace with a new plug. (Or use an extension lead).
In summary, for 21, this is a good security light, which works well with a nice bright light, just could have done with a longer power lead in my view.
This fitting is very easy to install, with a decent adjustable bracket, and integrated (short, 1m) heavy-duty flex. Oddly, there is a moulded BS 1363 plug-top. Most bizarre, since whilst theoretically you could connect via an outside socket placed appropriately (ensuring it seals whilst in use as well — e.g. MK version etc) realistically, you would connect internally (j/b etc), or adjacent (most probably) via a small adaptable box etc. Therefore, you’d simply chop off the plug-top!
The main body itself is good quality, with an overall IP66 rating (but IP 55 for PIR)
There is a sliding switch for different duration settings, plus one for anytime operation or night-time operation, concealed beneath a rubber seal underneath the fitting. The PIR is adjustable for positioning, but no detection sensitivity or light level switching adjustment. That is fine for people’s needs.
This is an attractive, luminaire suitable for various applications, with a colour temperature of 3000K (warm white), ideal for those that prefer a softer light.
The Colour rendering Index (CRI) is 75, which is a bit lower than normal, but fine for this type of application.
In summary, a pretty decent external PIR floodlight, not bad value with an illumination duration upon activation setting 0f 10s/45s/120s/600s, so suitable for most needs, and with a variable angle PIR.

This light is perfect for our garden and easy to install. We have plug outside our garden and this was cherry on the top. Is so bright we going to get one for our front door.
We have light already that you switch on and off but this is sensor light Is way better and is waterproof.
Now we can stay late in the garden and I can see the kids playing.

This security light seems to have a responsive sensor, when tested it responded when I was just over 6 meters away, this will vary based on body and ambient temperature but easily enough distance for what its needed for. The light is advertised as warm light but its not a yellow light, somewhat in-between warm and cool light. Its bright enough to cover a distance of 15m and wide enough to light the same width . The sensor has full movement so can be positioned to suit and it comes with plugs and screws for permanent fixing.
It has a daylight setting which I’m not sure what benefit that would bring and timer settings up to 10 minutes should be more than enough time for most uses. Its got a moulded plug on the end of a 1m cable which limits its uses and given its pre-plugged a longer cable would have been better. Its quick to plug in a use on the go, such as in a garage, or if you want something to take with you such as use on a motorhome.
This is a nice bright security light by CLV that has the advantage of coming with a UK three-pin mains plug already fitted making installation for the average user much easier. However, that also limits where the light can be fitted as does the rather short one metre cable. The unit looks rather like the older halogen security lights but has the benefit of being LED with it’s 30 Watt rating giving a very bright warm white 3000 lumen output. You can use this security light just as you would an older halogen version and it offers an effective PIR motion sensor, it is waterproof to IP66 standard and is CE, FCC & ROHS certified for safety. The only limitation is the availability of a power socket at the installation location and the short cable length — the cable is not detachable and if the power source is on the other side of a wall then a light without a fitted plug may be preferable. At around twenty-one pounds currently from Amazon this CLV 30W LED security light is a good option in the right situation and gets five stars where it is suitable.

I bought a set of 4 solar lights with motion detectors as bright as this one for the same price.
This motion detection light comes with a power cable about 1m long and has a standard uk plug, so if you have a socket nearby then this is great.
I expected this to be brighter for 3000 lumens but maybe because it is warm white it does not appear to be so bright and still powerful enough to illuminateour rear garden.
The motion sensor is working great, and is able to detect our dog from 2-4 meters away.
The small switchfor adjusting the time can be found on the bottom of the sensor under the little black cover which keeps it waterproof.
Overall a good quality outdoor light which can be easily installed by a non experienced person as no wiring is required.
