I love this resin and this is a table top that I’ve made from this resin. I’m so pleased with the out come and I will be buying some more soon. Just love the easiness of mixing and adding colours too just going so nicely.
I’ve used CR quite a lot, and produced many lovely creations.
I did have an issue recently which CR were very quick to help with….. their customer service is excellent.
This resin is a good consistency and is easy to mix. The results I’ve had are excellent. My only bug bear is that it says its completely bubble free, this isn’t true, all resin forms soe bubbles, though are easy to get rid of if you use a heat gun and keep an eye on it.
Easy to use, no bubbles, great product. Will definitely be using this from now o
Excellent product, please the photos of what I made with the resin and Mica powders
A little pinch goes along way- great quality dye owner- great colours- after affect is very surreal & items look authentic
Amazing product with a good selection of beautiful colours. I had a question about the colours so I contacted Craft Resin customer service, they were so helpful with a quick response. I’d definitely buy again.
Worked with a few epoxy resins and I can easily say this is a good resin. Use a microbrush for bubbles and it will be bubble free, pour it without using the brush and you might get some bubbles.
The smell: almost nothing.
Easy to use, just respect instructions.
Since is safer than other resins, I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Have fun pouring!
This is the best resin money can buy, easy to mix, quite thicker than other resins, holds metallic pigments really well, the best mirror finish, inks are best after the pour with this product. Only problem is u need more than u think 1 litre will cover 1msq(not 1.6msq as it says on box)
This is a really good set of mica powders with a great range of colours to use. I used these with resin which they mixed well with and had some great effects. There’s a decent amount of powder in each pouch and goes further than you would think as a only a small amount is required with each use. I do however wish that these came in little pots rather than plastic pouches as the pouches don’t stand up well making it more difficult to access the powder whilst working on a project. The seals at the top of the pouches are also very strong which is good for keeping the powder in but also makes me nervous the powder is going to get thrown everywhere when it finally pops open.
I would use this resin in preference to plaster because it produces the most minute detail for small
work and it can be cut with a craft blade or scissors to precision fit . Excellent poduct.
I finally gave in to peer pressure and tried this brand. It really does cure in 24 hours and is rock hard. Thumbs up!
My first attempts of using resin and I am really pleased with the results. A dog and 4 cameos have come out great, need a file and polish so will look even better soo
I’ve used this brand many times and had no issues at all. Unfortunately this batch arrived damaged..the liquid had leaked and it looked like it had been purposely damaged .
Sent back and refunded
I have only used the product once, to make a set of four coasters, and it has turned out fairly well for my first resin project. The photos show three coasters, one still in the mold. They need to be sanded and finished but hopefully the photos give an idea of the resin.
The resin was easy flowing and set within time. Little or no smell or fumes, so very safe to use. The reason I gave a four star is there was a problem with delivery. My package went to another Amazon customer’s address, but the messages from Amazon said it had been delivered to me. It took two days to sort out, but thankfully it hadn’t been stolen and I now have the resin!
I have used several resin brands in the past and first tried this brand from Amazon a few months ago. The resin is relatively easy to use, the only problem is common to all resin, in that it needs care in handling and accurate measuring of the resin and hardener, so is not simple to use. Compared with other brands I have found this produces a remarkably clear material , setting within 24 hours. The basic 500ml pack contains protective gloves and a branded stirrer, which is very useful. I don’t buy larger sized packs as I found in the past that opened packs deteriorate and I now only buy what I can use within a month of opening. I will continue with this Amazon brand. It is good.
I used this to weigh down some plastic bottles for stage props.
Following the instructions was easy – I took the time to mix it thoroughly and scraping the edges of the mixing cup. The stirrer that’s included was perfect.
The resin cured within the 24 hours advised in the instructions.
I wasn’t too worried about it having bubbles, but it set nice and clear without any. Not having a vac chamber or pressure pot was no barrier to a good finish.
Will happily get this again if I need more.
This is my go to resi . Used this since I started using resin, good working time and minimum bubbles in i
I wanted to make some pen blanks using a silicone mould, colouring and glitter. I thoroughly mixed the solution and there were hundred of bubbles but after a couple of minutes in the mould they completely disappeared. The pen blank were left to cure for 24hrs and came out perfectly clear.
Always use this resin for my bookmarks, it’s easy to use and has a great shine, although it says to mix for 3 minutes I mix for 6. I find keeping the containers some where warm before you use helps with the mixing.
The instructions were clear and simple, this resin was so easy to use. As first timers, it has given us the confidence to experiment. I would definitely recommend this product.
This resin was really good, I got a couple bubbles in some of my projects but that’s because I wasn’t able to warm up the resin which is recommended to avoid them. The resin didn’t yellow and got the job done, would recommend to anyone interested in starting with resin as it’s very beginner friendly.
Repairing a broken 2′ dish, for which I could find no commercial repair shop to do, so that it could be used with hot water. Other products will be used to hide the cracks and cover back and front with a strong paint.
Had some small bubbles in some of them but overall really happy with the product star deduction because of the bubbles
A great collection of different colours to choose from.
A fair amount of powder included for each colour especially considering you only need a tiny amount. I use them in epoxy resin casting and they work absolutely fantastic with some great results.
Only small issue i noticed was that when initially opening the individual packets you really should take a couple of seconds to get the powder down to the bottom or you do creat a bit of a mess.
My current go to resin, works great if you follow the instructions correctly.
Best ever resin I’ve tried, as possible minimum bubbles. Worth the price
This is really great to use and poured and mixed well, we poured about 15mm and let it set overnight and then poured the next layer. The two layers joined together well with no obvious line. We put dried flowers in and the resin stayed clear and didn’t yellow.
This is my first resin picture and I found the Craft Resin so easy to use. You mix it 1:1 resin to hardener ratio.
Stir it for just 3 minutes and leave it to stand for a couple of minutes. Where I live, it is cold outside and my house isn’t very warm either. Thankfully, this resin works at 22-25 degrees Celsius, so I stood the mixed resin in a baking tin of warm water for 5 minutes until it reached midway temperature, then divided it between a number of pouring containers. I coloured the resin with acrylic paint and Castin’ Craft opaque white.
To my absolute surprise, the resin did harden over night! though I placed it in a room that I could warm up. It takes 72 hours for full cure.
I think it has a slight blue hue from the UV resistant additive, which I noticed in another project that I tried. I had painted the sides yellow, but either the reflection of the blue base or the resin itself make the yellow appear green.
I’m delighted with my first attempt and how easy the resin has been to use. It has the perfect creamy consistency for what I wanted to use it for. I had initially poured another brand epoxy resin with a ratio of 2:1 resin to hardener into shallow jewellery moulds., and that took 10 days to fully harden. I felt the other resin was too runny for my purpose.
In the kit, you get the 500ml resin, 500ml hardener, a stirring stick and some gloves.
For my projects I also bought/used a respirator mask, gloves, additional silicone mixing pots and sticks, a heat gun, a silicone mat to cover my work surface as well as using a piece of mdf board, tissue/wet wipes and a basic thermometer, acrylic paints and sand and shells from my nearby beach a small wooden tray.
The second project I painted and cut up a cardboard tube into slithers, glue and fantasy and moon paints and a gold pen and a small mache tray.
I would definitely buy this resin again as it is so easy to use and is reasonably priced – hope this helps.
As long as you keep it warm its a fantastic resin. No bubbles, easy to use and little smell
So simple to use comes out lovely and clear unlike some others that have a cloudy finish.
Perfect for my hobby needs
I’m only a beginner and use resin craft for my mental health and some nice handmade gifts.
I’ve used other resin that just hasn’t cured or leaves loads of bubbles and this has been the best so far. Yes you still get some bubbles but a bit of heat puts pay to most of them. I’ve bought this brand time and again and got great results (for a beginner!)
Very good clear product, with a great curing time considering its low viscosity (can demould after approx 12 hours on a 3mm pour if you need to reuse the mould, but suggest leaving it on a flat surface for a further 24 hour before handling)
It does have a tenancy to bubble more than some I’ve used, so a heat gun or similar with be needed… and I suggest heating twice. Once within 30 seconds of pour, then again a few mins later as further bubbles rise as it settles.
It is quite pricy now, so I’m going to look round for alternatives.
It’s great stuff but this bottle A was covered in and out of wrapper with resin, so glad it’s not a different type I usually of used as you can’t use without special gloves and masks. I just want people to be aware of this I would like to get a new A bottle but it will cost me more to return so don’t know how to go about it.
This is my second time buying this resin. It’s reliable, clear, low viscous, and most importantly doesn’t cause me any allergic reactions like other brands have. The bottles are small but that’s perfect for me as I only need 40ml at a time for a full dice set. Always sets properly and is crystal clear when used in a pressure pot. Doesn’t smell but I do still wear a full mask with proper ventilation just in case.
im pretty happy with this resin, this is the first product i have ever used to cannot compare to others.
it definitely does bubble though but i managed to get rid of almost all of them with my hairdryer.
it is tricky to pour out in correct measurements as part a is really thick and once it starts pouring it doesn’t stop on its own and part b is runnier so i always have to go back to putting a bit more of part a in. i know its a silly little thing but it gets rather messy (might just be me)
it only smells a little when you first start mixing which is a bonus for me.
even my first project turned out almost perfectly so its easy to use
I have seen many products like this but whit bad reviews and some friends of mine tried other products as this one is more expensive than others, but I’m happy I’ve bought this one. It takes 24/48 h to cure but once it’s cured it solid like glass and that’s what I want. Bought it again few days ago and I’ll keep using it.
It’s works very well, how ever did not last as long as I would hope. Would be great to buy alot of it for a good price
I had this product before i got 2 gallons of it and made chopping boards and tables a lot of things great love it the table I sold and it takes about two weeks to set all most but smaller items about 24 to 48 hours it a great hobby to get into will worth it guys and girl’s.
So this is my first time trying resin out. I wanted to coat an acrylic pour I had done and Amazon recommended this stuff.
It is absolutely amazing! So easy to use as long as you stick to the 1:1 ratio and it doesn’t have any fumes and it’s all round just a fantastic project.
I did have some trouble with bubbles and also a bit of uneven coating but that’s due to my inexperience. When using make sure you mix more than you think you will need.
This product is also self levelling so as long as the object is on an even surface it will even itself out one of the best products I’ve used
You just have to be accurate with the portions of each used, as any deviation leads to a softer finished product.
Not a huge issue on smaller pieces, but would affect anything larger needing stability.
Bought this product to make a river table , still not finished yet but was easy to use and gave a nice finish although there were a few bubbles left after setting (this could easily have been my poor technique )
This is a good resin I’m rating 4 stars because its not the easiest resin to mix with no bubbles (iv mixed quite a few resins) otherwise it cures nicely and the results are smooth and shiny.
This is a great product and reasonably priced.
Resin casting is the a bit of a craze at the moment and there are a LOT of inferior products on the market. By nature, this is a dangerous product which, if used incorrectly can damage your health. Of the products I have tried, this company is the only one to have given proper consideration to their safety warning. Its simple, not alarmist and printed on every part of the packaging.
The product is good, well packaged and easy to use. Don’t be fooled by the cheap alternatives that offer a bit of glitter thrown in. This is the real deal!
Really easy to use and minimal bubbles when mixed correctly – easily fixed with a heat gun or a toothpick to pop them. I really like this resin, it’s been the easiest for me to work with just some issues with the packaging.
Ordered previously and arrived perfectly.
Reordered and this time on of the stoppers in the packaging wasn’t in correctly resulting in leaking and coating everything else in the box with the product. (Luckily it didn’t spread out of the box on my other order items as these were books).
Also, not a major issue just a slight concern; but the second bottle, didn’t have any labels or stickers on it apart from the ‘B’ sticker on the lid.
This is by far the best resin I’ve ever used. The 50/50 mix not only takes away the faff, but it’s easier to see how much volume you have left for future projects. It set hard overnight and has a beautifully smooth, glassy finish.
These powder pigment are amazing bright colours some colours I ain’t even seen sold before you get every colour you could possibly Need to make your art gorgeous they do however come in little packets which makes it very messy but all I’ve done is put them in little pots I bought from the pound shop so that wasn’t a major issue for myself I do however recommend this product because there isn’t any colours that look dull or boring each colour shimmer and shine and so will your design if you use these A+ from me will definitely order again when these run ou
I find this an amazing resin. I’ve tried different brands but this just seems to work well for me. I have a good amount of time to rearrange and fiddle with my work before the resin starts its reaction. I work with small beads and larger heart pendants which can be really fiddly but it’s kind in this respect. it’s also Easy to pour and mix. It’s a lovely glossy finish and just looks great. I have loads of good feedback about my work and I make orgonites too with crystals and copper and the resin works well with anything I add to it. Ile definitely keep buying this particular brand if resin and will always recommend it. well worth it.customer service is also great should you need help and advice.
This is a great starter kit, perfect size to give a taste of resin making.
There’s enough in the kit to make a few things and it also comes with a stirrer and gloves. You just need a measuring pot to mix in and some moulds.
I’ve used this a few times and the resin is crystal clear. It does bubble a lot when mixing but these generally sort themselves out. My only confusion is sometimes in shallow pours, it takes longer than the states 24hours to stiffen.
@avondalecrafts if you want to see more of my makes!
I bought this to fill some cracks in a wooden cake stand i was making for a wedding.
I added colouring to my resin, so i can not say how clear the final result would be, however the final results i had with it were great. No air bubbles, easy to mix, add colour and use.
The resin once mixed had a good long working time, i found that after 1 hour the mixture was thinking up, but i was well done with my resin pour by then.
I found that using plasticine to made dams whilst pouring the resin worked well and did not harm the hardening process of the resin.
After 9-12 hours the resin was very soft and could take a finger print when pressed. After 24 it was fulled cured.
Once fully cured it was easy to work with, cutting tools were fine with it, it was easy to sand and came up very nice when using hight grit sanding pads. You can get. Loverly shine with it.
I am defo going to use this product again for more word working project and i have several things in mind for crafts and miniature model too.
I’ve been a huge fan of the Craft Resin brand since I started my resin business last year. I’ve tried other brands but this is my one and only as I get crystal clear castings time after time. This new 500ml set is perfect for beginners trying out smaller projects such as jewellery or bookmarks. It’s a 2 part resin/hardener combo and also comes with a pair of gloves and a resin stirrer within the kit. Instructions and advice are also included.
I recommend this 100% as its non-toxic, anti yellowing, very few bubbles and it’s crystal clear in the finish. Their customer care team is fabulous and very responsive too.
Oh my I’ve been using the wrong resin up until now! This is amazing resin to work with, I make it for a side project and I wish I’d found this resin to begin with….plus if you go to their site it tells you it’s food safe as well as heat resistant up to 90 degrees which is great! Making sure you use half and half of a and b it will work well. Just amazing stuff!
Good resin, goes off in under 24h, clear & easy to mix. 500ml is the total size, so 1 x 250ml A & 1 x 250ml B = 500ml in total when mixed.
Had an issue with it being too soft for my project and scratched easily, but this was resolved by excellent customer service & after applying a coat of clear varnish the bar table top looks great.
5* customer service. They really care about customers satisfaction. If only all sellers were this great!
First time I’ve ever used resin.
Easy to use. Very sticky so wear gloves and protect surfaces.though it does take a bit of practice to cover my acrylic pour correctly but that’s down to me preparing my boards properly. Will be buying again but amuch bigger pot .
My daughter & I are using this for a project involving changing the headboard & footboard of her bed, which has heart shaped cutouts which she loved as a four year old, but has outgrown. She’s turning the hearts into a sun & moon (by cutting out bigger circles & then filling with coloured resin), & then she’s going to add various astrology symbols (& I’m sure she’ll sneak some occult symbols in there to).
We did the first experimental pour for the moon a few days ago & in 24 hours it had set rock hard. Really easy.
We did use a small kitchen blowtorch to make sure there were no bubbles on the surface. I’m not sure that was necessary – I couldn’t see any anyway.
I’ve given no rating for heat resistance because I don’t know.
Recommended.
This product is great. I use to colour my soaps and scrubs. You only need a little for a great colour however the sachets make it a bit messy to use. It is hard to take it out. The bottle form would be ideal.
Great starter set of mica powders if you’re new to resin art. These are lovely shimmery colours and leave a great finish on resin pieces. I found them easy to work with and highly pigmented. They aren’t as opaque as I thought but it wasn’t a problem in the work I’ve done so far. Very impressed with the quality overall.
Resin is very good. Albeit expensive sadly, I used to but my 2:1 resin from Germany inc postage and was still cheaper than this sadly.
I may go back to purchasing the german resin purely based on price.
However… This resin is 1:1 very easy to measure, use and quick curing times. I pour into a 5cm deep bowl and and do one entire bowl at a time and cures within 24 hours no issues at all. It’s a good quality, and perfect for a beginner… or advanced resin user. Again, shame about the price. For 30/35 I’d be a lot happier buying more in future….as I use a fair bit.
Very easy to use, doesn’t have a strong smell, really good results – you need to mix it well for about 2/3 minutes then you have ages to use it and complete your masterpiece before it starts going off!! I’m a complete beginner and am having loads of fun with this new hobby!
I am new to resin crafting so I’ve never tried any other make of resin but having tried Resin Craft Epoxy Resin I am certainly never going to use anything else. You will find other resins on the market that are cheaper than this make but you get what you pay for! This resin is so easy to use, so forgiving and gives the most amazing results. I also love the fact that this resin is non toxic, so many videos show people wearing masks when working with resin, but with this brand you don’t have to, in fact the resin has a lovely odor to is which makes it even better if you have to use it at home. I have already ordered 3 times from this company and am utterly delighted. I will never use anything else and I am sure once you start, like me, you won’t be able to stop making things. Happy crafting and thank you Resin Craft for making such a great safe product.
Super happy with the finished result. I made a work table for my milwaukee packout system to use it as work surface for different applications. That will be used for tile cutter chopsaw or just a table to put my tools on. Very easy to use just mix it 50/50 resin and hardener. Leave to dry for 24 hours or even longer preferebly near a radiator as it will take much longer to set in a cold or wet invironment. Will definately buy again. I used a bit of ply painted red. Made the edges taller with some duck tape. Left in overnight on a levelled surface…made sure its level. And it set really nicely no bubbles inside the resin.
I’m new to resin casting and found this product so easy to use. I don’t feel the need to look for other resins. This is exactly what I need. Very few bubbles when mixing and it’s heat resistant, so great for coasters! I highly recommend this product!
Used this product for my first attempt at a resin river table. I chose this product as it was for a deep fill project. It was easy to mix and use. The other reason for choosing this product was the amount of resin provided. 4k just enough for my project. Will definitely use this again for larger projects.
I bought this product for the first time and it worked wonders! It is so easy to use and almost completely bubble free. Of course I had to get it again but shortly after placing my second order I realised I had to leave my house and couldn’t get the order anymore. I called the Resin Company that supplies these items and they were so incredibly understanding and nice. I received the refund the next day without any headaches!
I really recommend this brand, not only for the amazing Resin they do but also for the great communication and customer service!
This is the second epoxy resin I have used and by far the best. It is easy to mix and results are consistently good. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for ‘heat resistance’ is because I haven’t used it for long enough for the resin to completely cure, but so far so good.
I’ve used several brands of resin in my craft now and have to say that this is one of the best in both application and value for money.
I find that there are very few air bubbles and most clear on their own so it’s nice and easy to use for coating items.
If I had to find a negative, it would be that due to the size of the bottle neck, it’s quite difficult to pour a small amount at a time but I’m looking into using my own bottles to avoid that.
My mum and I bought this as a hobby activity over lockdown as we considered it for a long time and we liked this set of resin and hardener as it was an easy 1-1 ratio and easy to use. The bottles are only labelled on the lids, which we were fine with and I labelled the bottles themselves with sharpies.
The only thing I didn’t like is that you pour out of the big bottles and it usually results in you getting slightly more than you wanted, or it being all around the neck of the bottle on the outside which is then awkward to clean.
It all cured wonderfully and mixed well with colour inks and the glitters we had and made some very fun patterns.
I make little trinkets for birthday presents/Christmas out of resin so I’ve used a couple of different brands. Most of have been OK but I was really blown away by this one. I’ve recommended this to a couple of friends who also make jewellery from resin.
To keep it short, the pros:
1. It’s work time is average, no need to keep stirring. I’ve found it to be between 35-40 minutes depending on the cup I’m using.
2. It mixes really well, no streaks and doesn’t crystallise in the bottle.
3. sets perfectly, very few air bubbles and sets clear.
4. I use a both resin dyes and micropowders, both mix in well without issue.
5. once hardened, removes from the moulds without a problem.
Cons:
1. does take longer than 24 to cure, roughly 28-32 hours depending on the size.
2. doesn’t hold some embellishments like glitter and sequins as well as some other brands I’ve used BUT fine nail art glitter and powder glitter does work perfectly fine.
It does also come with a set of gloves, a stirring stick and cups. As I already have my own, I haven’t used these but they look good quality.
Overall I really like working with this brand of resin so I’ll be ordering again once my stock runs low!
This box has a great variety of mica powders, I tired out a few, had a bit of an experimental day. Attached are a few pictures of the colours mixed in resin and also brushed on the mold for two different options. I’ve used other brand mica powders but I find the Craft Resin ones Fantastic, Vibrant and true. You also get a nice little token in the box of 10% off. If you are interested in trying mica powders, I highly recommend Craft resin brand. Also there resin is so easy to use it’s a 1:1 ratio. Two great products from this company.
First time using resin. Was really easy to use and cured in great time. After using this product I’d did in fact purchase a different brand solely due to getting a massive black Friday saving. However the other brand was nowhere near as good and was much slower curing which doesn’t suit me. I will definitely return to this brand when needed.
This is my very first time using any form of resin. I used it to create 3D layered doodle art. It’s crystal clear like glass, zero smell, virtually no bubbles, very easy to use. Says on the box that it takes 24 hrs to cure, but I was able to draw on mine with a paint pen 12hrs after pouring each layer. I used a plastic an A4 paper container box as a mould and it demoulded like a dream. I had no issues with it at all and will definitely buy from Craft Resin again next time b’n.
Here’s the thing though: I did a ton of research before getting into resin in general. There are many potential pitfalls when using resin and I’ve seen reviews of various resins where people complained it didn’t cure properly. This could well be down to not reading up on how to mix the components properly (min 3 minutes stirring time, ensuring you scrape the sides of the container and the mixing stick 3 times at least during mixing etc), or adding the wrong kinds of things to the resin (specific resins need specific kinds of pigment colours etc as different chemicals can interrupt the reaction between the components etc). I can attest that this resin works very well so long as you read up about how to use resin in general and follow the very clear instructions provided in a pdf from Craft Resin when you buy. There are a couple of very good resin info websites out there I used when doing my research – one’s called resin obsession, the other is called art resin. Good luck!
I have tried a few craft resins and so far this is has been the best for my use. I would like to get the bigger size. It works well with mixed media products, it also dose not have that nasty smell or yellowing. If you want something straight forward to use. This is good I have not used it on massive products only small prices and sculptures.
A bit frustrating! The product was fine and certainly not the cheapest and unknown to me, came with a leaflet about getting 10% off my next order so that was a pleasant surprise.
So I went to the URL given which required that I login to Facebook. Except that I don’t have, won’t have, will never use FaceSlurp data capture device.
I have no purpose to use it and no desire to tell the world what I had for breakfast or what socks I’m going to wear.
Undeterred, I thought I’d phone up and the response was that I would be emailed a discount code. Three times to verify my email address and then I waited… And waited. Hours later, no code.
I’ve now placed a three figure order with another supplier.
No further need to be a customer, not the only resin supplier out there.
I needed to resin a piece of art quickly, my friends wee dog had died and I couldn’t console her as I’d liked to be able to. Breagh, her little black cocker spaniel was actually one of my sons dog Sam ( a girl, he didn’t want anything too girly when he would b shouting for her) pups. Sam, sadly died at the beginning of the year just 7 months before Breagh. Anyway I diverse…..this did exactly what it said it would……dried within 24 hours.
Absolutely brilliant, and thanks so much for getting me ready in time for my friends gift…….
This stuff is amazing, really good for resin jewellery! Super clear, almost bubble free, the few bubbles that will form will pop immediately with the use of a heat gun. I bought a much more expensive resin before and just couldn’t work with it due to the astonishing amount of micro bubbles. So happy with this resin! Will buy again and again and again! Thank you, Craft Resin people! xxx
Found it very easy to use. Crystal clear just leave for 5 minutes after stirring slow for recommended time and it does self degass. The plastic stirrer is a good addition. I find wood releases more bubbles so it was a nice touch. Is a little hard to pour out exact amount with wide neck opening but I’m sure for those using larger volumes then me it’s not that much of a problem. Did find the batch I made during heatwave didn’t set properly though, measurements were exact and did stir for required time but always a chance maybe I did something wrong I’m not sure. Every batch before that though was perfect so not complaining! Also little to no smell. Would recommend to a friend!
Having used a number of different resins, I tried this one in the hope that the problem I have would disappear. The surface of the resin, once cured, has a small area in the centre, which is cloudy. Like a film on an otherwise shiny surface. The ambient temperature in the room was correct, and I have a heater in the room to make sure the temperature does not drop, the mixing time was doubled to ensure good results. No colourants were used. I was hoping this problem would be eradicated, but, not yet it seems. The resin itself is clearly labelled, easy to use so no issues there. I have checked various resin problems sites but can’t find an answer to the problem. Any ideas?
Well I was making coasters…. First time I used a different company… I got tiny bubbles….. So I tried this company and again I got tiny bubbles so I tried to turn them face up to fill in tiny holes…. But using the heat gun to get rid of bubbles just made a bit of a mess and the edges were rough…. But it’s just a learning curve…. An expensive one cos 39 is not cheap and uses a lot of resin but it doesn’t smell all in all its a good product I just find that it’s never clear like glass like it says in the ad. I don’t have a pressure thing like nick zammeti so maybe that’s why there’s bubbles lol but I like it but def too expensive for a hobby when you’re not sure of the results.
I’ve been using this resin for all sorts of things, doing a lot of casting of coasters but also smaller things like making buttons. I had previously been using a polyester resin which had a seriously strong smell and remained tacky even after cured. Getting this resin was like night and day. It cures CRYSTAL CLEAR (they really really mean it when they say that) there’s absolutely no smell, it’s done in 24 hours (although I still wouldn’t play with it too much for a few days) and the coating feels professional. I’m so so so impressed and I’ve already bought more! It’s also really easy to blend colours with since it’s a little bit thicker. This is just as good if not better than ArtResin but cheaper and easier to get.
Craft Resin is easy to work with. I have very quickly become addicted to resin art and have found this resin really good to work with. It is a nice consistency a little thicker than other resins so It stays where you want it to stay and doesn’t flatten out like a thinner resin… It’s very clear and if you warm the resin in hot water before it’s bubble free.
Always sets beautifully, is crystal clear and a joy to use, highly recommended, I have made clocks, bookmarks, coasters, jewellery, and use glitter, alcohol inks, shells, broken glass, mica pigments so far. It has no problem handling any of these additives/embellishments. I am definitely going to order more of this, I have not tested the coasters yet to see if they are heat resistant though so cannot comment on this yet.
Read a few 1 star reviews so I tried this out on a small table first (planning to coat concrete kitchen countertops). Found it really easy to do, warmed up the bottles in warm water as per instructions. mixed together in equal ratio. Poured it on, helped it drip over the sides with a lolly stick. There were a few uneven bits to begin with, but quickly rectified by pouring more on. Didn’t need any specialist tools, I literally just poured it on. Made sure the table was level first. It drips quite a lot to begin with, you just need to get rid of stalactites with a lolly stick every 10 minutes or so for about an hour. Put a plastic sheet down. It has been 24 hours and I can still make a very slight dent with my finger nail, I will see if that improves over the next 24 hours.
Ordering and delivery was spot on….can’t be faulted however, when I opened the box, I discovered that the hardener had leaked, leaving sticky residue all over the bottle and box. Fortunately, not much had been wasted and, the rest still usable.
I’m a novice when it comes to using resin so don’t really know what I’m doing however, I found Craft Resin easy to mix, has no odour, bubbled when mixing but bubbles settled once poured (on occasions, have used heat to burst bubbles but, that’s to be expected, I believe). The resin is a bit thicker than a previous resin I’ve used, it took me a few attempts to learn it’s way! I’ve used it on only small projects….not sure if I’d attempt to use it on larger projects due to its thickness. Time will tell. The more I use it, and learn how it wants to move, the more confident I will become with it. Overall, it’s pretty good, I love its glossiness and I’m loving using it!
First time using resin and found it pretty easy to get on with. Bit of trial and error with regards to getting things to stay in the right place in the resin. Quite pricey for what it is and probably better to buy in larger quantities if you are going to be using it a lot. End results were good, with a very clear finish and no join line where we poured twice.
I’ve never used epoxy resin before, so as a complete beginner I was a bit apprehensive, but this is so easy to work with. It’s full set time is 24h, and working time is easily half hour, maybe longer but I’ve never needed more than that. I’ve never classed myself as artistic, but this is finally a medium I can use to create some really nice trinkets, although I’m sure bigger projects will come in time.
My creations speak for themselves! This resin is superior. It carries colour and additives superbly. It is simple to work with at a mix ratio of 1:1. It produces astonishing results. This resins texture allows me to work with absolute precision and gives a long workability time. It had never set cloudy and the few bubbles I put in from mixing rise to the top as if my magic. I’ve made many things using this and it’s the only resin I will work with!
Very sticky, but fairly easy to use and I would use again. I bought it to preserve dried flowers and it does do that. Make sure you do a practise run first! Just stir very slowly over warm water for about 15 minutes to dissolve most bubbles. Pour slowly into mould and use a cocktail stick to burst the big bubbles. Then cover with a tissue to keep it dust free. Leave for over 24 hours to harden. Looks good. Box comes with bottles, stirrer and gloves, but you also need a jug, cocktail sticks and moulds.
I ordered Craft resin as an alternative to my usual resin, which I use to coat woodslice paintings. I was really pleased at how quick it set. I use up to 20ml at a time. It gave a beautiful clear seal on my paintings. Easy to use, followed the instructions and had very little bubbling. Great product and will be purchasing in the future. I was delighted with the price point as well.

Never used epoxy resin before so was completely clueless about it’s use. I used it with dark blue dye to fill a fissure in a bog oak bow riser I was making hoping it would be a blue line contrast to the black wood. It thought the epoxy was very sticky and difficult to remove from the old spoon I used as a measure, I didn’t want a lot, the hardener was not as sticky. Anyway it did set longer than 24 hours though, unfortunately for me I couldn’t see the blue, the black bog oak overpowered it. No matter it strengthened the wood. I need to experiment further to see what I can do with it.
It’s my second time purchase of resin and I wish it has been my first buy but won’t be my last time for sure.
I had no idea what to expect the first I used resin and found all the practical expectations on this product. I have big fingers and I am a messed so I really appreciate the big top bottle and the type of airsafe in-between. The other item I bought was too small and impractical, ending up with resin everywhere and wasting a lot of gloves.
The extra tip instructions are helpful to me, making better at curing the pieces. I’m no expert but would recommend it to first buyer to messy Crafters like me.
This was the first time I’d use resin. It was easy to use as read about it on YouTube.
It would have been good to have some tips or hints about this brand enclosed in the box.
As I didn’t see the hint about warming it in a bag till after I’d mixed it. Also possibly a beginners guide too as it is daunting when you first start.
Other then that fantastic product set really well.
The casting resin kit arrived promptly. My plan was to make a model of the ship my father served on during the Second World War, together with a U-Boat at the same scale in a casting below it. This was to be my first attempt at doing a casting. The total depth of the casting was going to be 5 cms, and knowing from doing work with composites that epoxy resin is strongly exothermic when polymerising I decided to cast in a series of layers of about 1 cm each. I added some drops of epoxy pigment to achieve the turquoise colour of the water I required. I am very pleased with the result. Generally the casting process went well. Careful mixing is required to achieve a crystal-clear end result. I have yet to remove the cast from the perspex box in which it was made, but already the visibility through the resin is excellent. I shall certainly try this technique again. Thank you!
Honestly, this is the only resin I’ve tried yet so i can’t have a good opinion on comparisons, however the dice I’ve made come out perfectly clear (ignoring the fact that without using a pressure pot/vacuum you still get some bubbles) and I would definitely buy more if I need i
To be honest – I have used ArtResin for a long time and didnt wanna change brand. But they had problems to deliver to Europe so I had to find a substitute. After reading many reviews and comparing brands alot I therefore decided to try this Epoxy Resin Crystal Clear.
I was worried if this brand would be as good as my usual brand. Would I stumble onto issues? Would I ruin some of my art?
Nope! I wish I would have made a video-review actually because this brand was really good! I would say theres no difference from the top brand.
It was really userfriendly and gave me a good even result.
I recommend this product!
This is the first time I have done anything like this with resin but I wanted to try it on a canvas with the alcohol ink and gilding flakes. I am really pleased with the result and the resin has left a beautiful smooth and shiny top coat that makes everything look so good. I will be trying more like this in the future and it looks wonderful on my wall
This was my fist time using resin to coat painted stones as was really please with the result. Applied using rubber gloves and am aided how far a little bit goes
This is a great product and easy to use. I used this to finish my acrylic pour paintings on canvas and the result is fantastic.
It’s really easy to use and was fully dry in 24 hours. I did mine in the evening and left it overnight and it was pretty dry after 10-12 hours but I left it longer as stated on the instructions.
I didn’t have any problems with air bubbles from mixing bit I also used a blow torch just in case.
It’s a little pricey but cheaper than other leading craft resin. My only fault would be the numbers for each tub are only on the lids so once you start mixing you could easily muddle them up.
You can always label easily yourself though which is what I’ve now done.
Loved this resin! As clear as glass when not coloured and no problem with bubbles at the moment. Have used it to make the above ‘galaxy’ dress as a free form practice after approx 6 hrs and used it in molds and forms. Even one practice free form when wayward when I dropped the one side of it but I partially wrapped it around a stone and now I have stone stand!
Excellent product. Very much recommended. Thank you selle
Wow! This resin is great.. I use resins for my woodwork and this is the hardest and quickest setting resin I’ve encountered!
