Really pleased with this, easy to use, makes great coffee. The only downsides are that you have to completely turn the jug upside down to get all the coffee out and the grinder doesn’t do fewer than four cups so if you want two you have to tip the coffee out and safe the extra for later.

Bought as a surprise for my husband as he had a ground coffee machine that, whilst fine, didn’t keep the coffee hot – this does.
Early days to know how many cups he gets out of a standard bag of beans, but there is more flavour and he’s down down from filter coffee strength 4 to ground coffee strength 3.
It was quick to set up & use and, as he’s only had it a few days, hasn’t had chance to try the timer function or clean more than the filter.
Initial thoughts are it will be a success and I hope to experiments with different grinds & different beans.
He needs decaff beans so the variety isn’t as large as caffeinated, but I hope he has fun experimenting.

Recently received my Cuisinart Grind and Brew Plus, Bean to Cup Filter Coffee Maker, very pleased with it, looks nice. It is easy to use and easy to clean. It makes a very good cup of coffee. It’s a bit pricy but worth it. If you are looking for a bean to cup coffee maker I can recommend this one.

We use it every day and I would not change a thing (Except for the water level indicator which is on the wrong side for where we have it). The jug keeps the coffee warm for a long time (Longer than we need). We would buy agai

eally pleased with this. makes excellent coffee – far better than any I’ve made with other coffee equipment such as Aeropress, clever cup, cafetiere etc

Once we realised the machine uses all the water you put in and doesn’t gauge according to the cup setting, which is for bean grinding only, we love it. Easy to clean and great coffee.

Got this for my boyfriend who always wanted a beans to coffee machine.

It’s perfect! Our home smells wonderfully of fresh coffee when we use it, it’s super easy to clean, and the timer function works wonderfully.

It is a tad loud, but that’s expected of a grinder. And honestly it doesn’t even last very long so it hasn’t been a bother, even in the early mornings.

The only complaint I would have, and it’s more me trying to find something, is that the water tank is in the back and we have to drag the machine outfrom under the wall cabinets to refill it. But seeing as it’s not heavy and slides fairly easily across our countertop; it’s more of a winge than an actual complaint.

Gets used a lot in our house, like the thermal flask.
Bought to replace one that started leaking after 3 years…
Convenient, would hope lasted longer, but not much else on the market doing a similar job… Thermal flask is great for keeping warm, but hard to pour the last cup of coffee out.

Have to figure out the combination of water, strengh and amount of cups for your own preference as I found the preset recommendation too strong. Once you have done that, better taste and flavour than buying pre ground

I have the original version of this – which is still going strong – 10 yrs old! Replaced it for the version that has a heated soleplate The latter lasted 7 yrs & recently died Upon reflection, using a vacuum flask is better all round, hence purchase of the updated version. I cannot fault it!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m so pleased I treated myself to this. Like everyone, the bean of preference is quite personal to taste. Yes, it is loud when it grinds, but it doesn’t take long. It does seem to use more beans per cup ( 2 cups on the water tank =1 mug) than if I use my electric grinder and cafeteria. It’s very easy to use. I have fresh coffee waiting as soon as I get up. Yes, the carafe is difficult to pour the last bit out, but I don’t care. I knew that when I brought it having read reviews. For the 1 1/2 hours in up before leaving for work the coffee stays warm enough in the carafe. Once a week I give it a good clean so the oils from the beans do not clog it up and the shoot is free of ground coffee otherwise it stops working.

This is a large item, but not much bigger than the one it has replaced. Easy to set up, easy to clean and by changing the amount of water you put in and adjusting the strength selector, a perfect cup of coffee is easily achieved. And the burr grinder is much better than the blade grinder on my previous model.

This is the second machine we have bought. The first did great service but gave up after about 10 years daily use. You can buy spares for it on the internet (for all removable parts) and it brews a lovely cup of coffee. Keeps the coffee warm without stewing. I would highly recommend

I’ve had this a month now and whilst this consistently produces outstanding coffee, based on beans and a lot of trial and error with the settings, the only fault I have is the jug! What is with it? The opening of the jug doesn’t come to the edge of it, this means that without tipping the jug up over vertical the last bit of coffee cannot be poured out, this also means that you need to brew more coffee than you actually need to make sure you can fill the cups you need!

NB. I use 14oz and a 16oz mug I fill water to 7.5ish, strength med and cups set on 4 for grinding. If I no grind I use two heaped spoons of my usual ground coffee! I highly recommend using high quality beans, I use a Swedish coffee available on amazon in a purple bag.
    Enjoy!

I am very happy with this coffee maker. Its easy to use and with two handy tips you can really make a great cup of coffee. I like my coffee very hot and two minor tweaks make it nice and hot. First as recommended by the maker heat the caraffe, which I do each time with boiling water and allow it to sit for a good while. Second I heat the milk and froth it and add it to the coffee. This results in a delicious cup of coffee piping hot with a delicious flavour.

Excellent coffee machine, only draw back is I have to clean the chute every time. Would have been better if it had a steeper angle on it so all the coffee grounds fell into the filter, would give a fuller flavour.

I LOVE this machine!! The best purchase I have made in years. A beautiful looking machine and given the right bean ( I use Lavazza Rosso) it delivers the best coffee you will ever have the pleasure of drinking, makes up to 12 cups and the thermos keeps them hot for ages. Very easy to clean, literally 2 minutes. I can’t recommend it highly enough

Give it the best beans and it will delight you

A nice upgrade from previous filter machine. Particularly wanted fresh ground beans and to retain the timer function and this delivers. The thermal carafe does a great job of keeping the coffee warm. A little fiddly to clean and I find grounds collect under the bean hopper but it’s nothing major IMO.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe love this coffee machine. Love it. The timer function is great, the coffee stays hot for HOURS. I’m not joking here, HOURS. I know that the reviews and even the directions advise to pour some hot water into the carafe first and then pour it out before brewing but you don’t need to, that’s a waste of water. We set our pot to brew at 8 am and the brewing is done quickly. When I go for an afternoon coffee at around 2pm, the coffee is STILL hot. No kidding! It only took us a few brew cycles to figure out we had to reduce the number of beans or was grinding, so basically instead of grinding enough beans for 12 cups of coffee, we grind enough for 6 cups and because it uses all of the water in the reservoir (we put in water for 12 cups, so it’s full), the ratio of beans to water is much better.

I’d rate this a 4.5 overall. The only reason it isn’t a 5 star review is because the screen doesn’t light up. This is a very nitpicky thing so honestly if it isn’t a problem for you, 5 stars all the way. Brilliant system and I’m happy to have put the money into this purchase, no regrets for me!!

Love the aroma and taste of the coffee this machine produces, everything about this machine is great, almost . I wish that the opening to add water was bigger and that it had a water gauge on both sides of the machine instead of just on the right. I also would have liked, especially for the price of the machine, to have had a back lit or led displayed clock as it is hard to see, more so when setting the timer. Other than that, I love it. Cheaper brands have the above but I I didn’t get one of them…

Wanted to use whole beans, didn’t want an espresso machine. As it wasn’t too expensive compared to some espresso devices I took a chance on this. Couldn’t be happier.

It’s easy to clean which is important as I generally set it up for the next day just before heading off to bed. Anything less than easy would be a chore. This certainly isn’t & I’ve used it everyday since buying. The coffee filter mechanism simply lifts out, you chuck the used grinds in the bin, run the rest of it under the tap paying a bit more attention to the filter basket and you’re done. The mechanism goes back in the machine, you line up two arrows to ensure correct positioning and close the door. Fill the water to the desired level and it is now ready to brew.

A nice feature is that it has a permanent filter which works perfectly well so no need for paper filters. It is fine enough to stop all but the very smallest coffee dust particles.

The grinder mechanism is a burr grinder which is apparently better than blades. It works really well but not too sure what the difference is apart from the grind output seems slightly larger than my blade grinder.

The machine has a couple of variables that require a bit of experimentation to get the coffee the way you like. I use water to the 8 cup level (approx 1 litre) with grind quantity set to 6 cups and “Strong” as the strength level. This combined with my favourite beans produces a fantastic tasting coffee. A 1kg bag of beans seems to last 3 – 4 weeks at this setting. Just note that even though this machine can make between 4 – 12 cups it will use all of the water in its reservoir during each brewing cycle i.e. if you put in water sufficient for 4 cups but set grind quantity to 12 cups you will get very, very strong coffee!

The timer function works very well and even retains its memory for a time if the power is removed. Believe me there is nothing like waking up to the smell of freshly ground coffee wafting through the house! I dropped one star as the timer is a 7 day variety. I think a 5 day / 2 day option to take account of the weekend or even a more detailed daily version would be more useful but it is a minor gripe.

The insulated jug works well enough although I do microwave my afternoon cup for 30 seconds to get it to the temperature I like. It is a bit of a mad design requiring total inversion to get the last cup or two out but it isn’t a problem just feels a bit odd the first time. I like that the coffee isn’t boiling away all day.

This machine feels solid so I’m hoping it will last. I’ve had it for a couple of months now, used everyday and no complaints.

Quality machine that makes great coffee

We have had one of these coffee makers for over 10 years and used it at least once a day. It’s become indispensable to us so when the old one stopped working so well we replaced it immediately with this identical model.

We love it. Freshly ground coffee every morning and the filter gives a much cleaner taste than cafetire methods. And no wasteful pods. The timer means we can wake up to fresh coffee (and it acts as an alarm too as it isn’t very quiet!). At weekends the flask means a leisurely morning with the papers refilling our cups.
    Definitely recommended

This was a Christmas gift. After much research and comparison shopping we decided on this item to replace our old coffee pot.

PROS: It’s beautifully designed (but slightly too tall to slide under our cabinets due to the grinding bean compartment on top. Not a deal breaker). It’s a nice addition to the kitchen. The timer function, strength control and option to use beans or grounds is wonderful. It brews a tasty coffee. It’s easy to set up and clean.

CONS: the jug doesn’t pour well and when you’re on the last cup it’s very hard to get the last bit of coffee out. So we’re wasting a few cups per week because it’s too awkward to pour out. The carafe is thermal but doesn’t keep the coffee hot for long enough. I have travel mugs that keep it piping hot for hours so expected the same from this expensive pot. I also think the coffee temperature could be hotter on brew.
Overall a nice machine but for the price I would have expected far fewer ‘CONS’ so it’s a bit disappointing.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersIve always wanted bean to cup, and now that i have this i could never go back. A few people describe how this machine works and get it wrong, but its very simple:

Fill the beans up at the top, set the number of cups, fill the water and press start. The timer is exactly the same, except you press timer instead of start.

From the moment the grinder starts you get a strong smell of coffee. The grinder works very well and never clogs. It’s easy to clean under a tap ,and then easy to set back up.

A couple of people have moaned that it’s hard to set up, but considering all you have to do is line up two arrows, i can only assume they have velcro shoes……..

The best feature for me is the fact that this doesn’t burn the coffee. As there is no hot plate the coffee stays hot in the flask, but wont continue to cook it like my last one did. This means the coffee tastes fresh even on the second or third cup. The coffee also stays hot for at least an hour after making.

When you first get it you will need to play around with the settings to get your perfect cup. For us we set the bean grinder to 4 cups, fill up the water to 6 cups and then set the strength to medium. This provides a great black medium coffee. If we are adding milk, we set it to strong. May sound complicated, but once you find what you like it’s easy to repeat.

There is just one flaw with this coffee maker…… The flask. Its easy to clean, looks great and keeps the coffee very hot. But with the lid on, the coffee pours out unbelievably slow. You also end up holding the flask almost upside down. I know others have said this and i agree its annoying, but the rest of the features are spot on so i cant even really mark it down. When we pour our coffee, we now just unscrew the lid and it works perfectly – so its a pretty easy fix if it annoys you.

I would certainly recommend this product and if if broke tomorrow, i would just buy the same one again.
