There are a lot of options out there for budget bikes and I think I spent 2 weeks going through reviews on Amazon and online to get the right one. My only hesitation with getting this one was the lack of RPM and heart beat on the digital reader. But what swayed me to buy this was that it sounded to be more sturdy then most budget bikes. I have a watch with heartbeat and figured I could go with feel instead of knowing RPMs so felt like I could manage without those 2 features and it’s been months now of me using the bike and I love it. When I wanna see my heartbeat I just check my watch and I use my own judgment call on RPMs. It’s quiet, smooth, sturdy, comfy and I get a fantastic workout! I put a show on my phone or tablet and can pedal for awhile. I highly recommend this bike if you can get past the no heartbeat and RPM.
I did not have the highest of expectations on the Cyclace Exercise Bike based on the cost. I had some commercial bikes in the past and also expensive road and mountain bikes. However, the bike exceeded my expectations. It was easy to put together. Overall, it is well built, runs smooth and the parts are high quality. I have been on it for about 10 hours and everything works consistently so I think durability will be ok. I am 6’2 210 lbs and the bike fits well, lots of leg room, etc. I would highly recommend this bike for the price and quality.
I like the bike, but it did break after only 6 months of use by a 170 lbs male. It says it can support 300lbs and the metal bolt that connects the pedal to the belt snapped in two. It was not easy to fix but the manufacturer sent parts so I’m changing my review to 4 stars because the price compared to a brand name competitor can’t be beat. Happy spinning!
Pros:
– Relatively cheap!
– Has handled my height, weight, and high usage very well, still functions great.
-Steady and stable enough for me to watch TV, listen to recordings with bluetooth ear buds, even use my computer on occasion.
Cons:
– The electronics used to mark pace, duration, etc. were not only confusing and often incorrect, the cable that plugs into it snapped within the first week. That being said, this bike is cheaper and I wasn’t buying it for that reason, so this didn’t detract from my experience (I just used a fitbit watch to track things instead).
– You adjust resistance manually with a knob, which means you can’t know specific resistance values, but I think lacking this feature is part of what makes the bike able to be as cheap as it is.
Overall take:
I’m not sure how it compares to other bikes in this price range, but the main thing that sold me on it was its ability to handle someone of my height/weight, and it definitely has delivered on that front.
This bike is pretty sturdy! The handle grips feel really nice and it spins smoothly overall. Well-priced bike and definitely provides a good workout.
Handlebar and seat height are adjustable, as my wife, who is shorter than I, uses it occasionally. After about a year the resistance rod, whose threads became stripped a bit, would slip and lose resistance at times. I contacted the manufacturer through Amazon, and they immediately sent me a new one for free, even though it was a month past the warranty period. I gave the new part a shot of WD40 to lubricate it, popped it in and it’s better than ever. I really appreciate that kind of courteous and prompt service.
I don’t know why anyone would pay almost $2,000 for a Peloton bike, then an additional hefty monthly fee for a video of someone yelling at you. The Cyclace has an iPad holder that I use to stream movies and TV shows while I cycle. So my 35-minute workout seems more like 10.
Oh, and the padded feet let you slide the bike into position and back again easily.
I enthusiastically recommend the Cyclace stationary bike.
Pros
-Easy to asemble (less than an hour)
-Foot print is small, easy to move around
-Seat has springs in it, this allows slight movement up and down and is more comfortable than bikes at the gym. Seat feels wider and more cushioned as well
– Lots of room on the handle bars to safely support phone, tablet, book etc
– Very low noise level, not very noticeable at all
– Feels sturdy, overall very impressed with the value for the price
Cons
-Can’t adjust seat height, or handle bar height while on the bike
-Water bottle holder flimsy and not in a convenient spo
This bike is made with sturdy materials and the frame and components had proper cutouts, which made assembly easier than I expected.
A handy person could assemble in a half hour. I am not handy, so I took an hour with help, but it was not difficult.
The ride is smooth, the seat and handlebars are easily adjusted. Also, the seat can be moved not only up and down, but forward and backward, which is not a typical feature.
The ipad/phone stand sturdy and is part of the handlebar system, i.e., it is not a separate piece.
The seat is comfortable and sturdily built.
This is an affordable, well-built, comfortable bike. There is no need to pay any more than a few hundred for a quality machine.
I do think the other machines in this price range are probably of similar quality, but the Cyclace has the additional seat and handlebar position options.
The quality of this bike is superb, especially for the price. A few minor complaints, though: the seat is incredibly uncomfortable for a big guy like myself, and I suggest any other big people reading this to get a more padded seat cushion, it really makes all the difference. Also, there’s a plastic insert that goes on the bottom of the metal column that supports the handles that keeps falling off. This is just cosmetic, though. It doesn’t negatively affect anything. The handlebars are fastened to the bike by one insert, making it slightly wobble from left to right. Also, the ‘shoe cages’ that come on the peddle cannot be taken off with the tools it came with, as you need a wrench to hold the nuts as you unscrew them from the other side. You can still use it, though, just use the side opposite of the cages.
These are minor issues, though, and the only reasons I couldn’t give it five stars. For everything that really matters, the bike is excellent.
It gets the job done. I am able to do my exercises on the bike, but it does move when I stand up to peddle. The seat moves as well as the handle. I put the bike together and tied it as tight as I could get it and I don’t think it’s a user error as to why the handles and the seat move a little as well as the whole bike when I stand to peddle. I mean for the price it’s not bad I guess. The reviews of the noise that the bike makes are true. I have my headphones on or my speaker on so I don’t mind the squeak. Overall it is not a bad purchase.
Bought for the wife who used it a short while. pros, seems pretty sturdy, comfortable, a good value and also quiet… and am told you can really get a workout. Only cons, bike seat was missing (but they shipped me one asap); looks like there are supposed to be a couple wheels on one end for moving but were also missing (didn’t notice right away, never called); and the bike seems to sit at a slight angle as one of the adjustment pads just doesn’t seem to get to the correct point.
I bought this bike because I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the peloton classes or not and didn’t want to make the full investment.
It’s is built fairly well and able to do about everything that I need it to. It is quiet but that doesn’t matter to me.
Two complaints keeping it from 5 stars. The handle bars are a bit wobbly. I’ve tightened them as much as I can and they still wobble at times. Not enough to effect the ride but it’s noticeable. The other issue is that the pedals don’t fit me right. I tried two different shoes and the inside of the shoe rubs against the bar the pedal connects to. Probably will be fixed with a pair of cycling shoes but I haven’t made the investment just yet.
The main reason I went with this bike (and boy are there many out there to pick from) is because of all the different handlebar options. During those tough rides it’s nice to switch up your hand position and I enjoy the option to do so. I also love how slim the bike is. I have it in our livingroom and it isn’t an eyesore whatsoever. At one point I kept hearing clicking and thought a screw came loose somewhere.. turned out it was the end of my shoelaces tapping the bike as I pedaled .
I couldn’t be happier with this bike! Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, this bike will not let you down. It’s the best way to start your day . Enjoy the ride!
**2nd update**
I was able to contact Cyclace through Amazon. I provided them my home address and they express shipped me the new fly wheel and bolt and emailed me video instructions at no charge (along with the bolt screw tool I needed). It took me about an hour to remove the old flywheel and install the new one, but for the price, I am pleased. It’s not a Peloton bike, but it does what I need it to do for less than $400 so, I’m good.
**UPDATED REVIEW**
The bolt securing the pedal snapped off mid-ride while I was working out this morning. I have used the bike consistently for the last 24 weeks (check out the odometer photo) and the pedal suddenly failed today. I have contacted Cyclace asking for a replacement bolt instructions on how to remove the broken bolt from the bike. I will update this review if they are helpful.
This is a great little bike for the price point. There aren’t any bells and whistles, but that’s expected. Easy to assemble (took me 30 minutes), easy to move around once you get it assembled, and works great so far. I’ve done about 10 45-60 minute spin workouts (using the Peloton app) and I’m very happy with the purchase. It’s a great investment to see if you’ll stick to doing indoor cycling without worrying about breaking the bank. Super quiet fly wheel ( I can do 5 am workouts with my earbuds in and no one in the house wakes up).
I haven’t found any cons thus far. It is easy to move around, i got a matt to go underneath it that was about $40 to not hurt the wood floors. The seat is comfortable, it adjusts easily. I want to find a better screen to attach to it, but I run pelaton off of my iPad and it does the job.
Highly recommend. It may be a starter bike, but it is a good one to start o
My husband and I finally bit the bullet and bought an exercise bike. This was quite easy to put together – normally I’d have my husband put something like this together, but he was working late and I was able to put it together in about an hour after I got home from work.
I love that it has various speed settings and height settings for the seat and handle/platform area. The only con is that even on the lowest setting the seat is quite high up. My husband joked that I must have gotten the extra-tall version meant for people 7ft+. He’s 6’2″ (and all leg) and even he was on his tippy toes to get to the seat – that being said though, he did end up adjusting his seat higher so it was comfortable in relation to the pedals. I do wish that the overall seat was lower so I didn’t have to use the pedals as a step-stool getting up to the seat, but once you’re on the bike it’s very stable. We’ll probably get a bike seat cushion since it’s not comfortable enough for long rides, but that’s a non-issue. Overall, I’d say this was worth the money and it definitely appears and feels more expensive than it was
I did lots of research for a spinning exercise bike before I decided to go with this. I have been using a month and I’m thoroughly enjoying the bike. Love it
Box was pretty heavy but that’s to be expected for a product made with quality parts. Assembly was straight forward, it took around 40 mins to assemble. Make sure to proper follow instructions when stabilizing the seat otherwise it will wiggle
What definitely impressed me the most is how silent this bike is compared to other ones that I’ve had in the past. I like long workout on the bike. The tablet holder is a must have. Watching a few shows while exercising is honestly a must for me .Super comfort! Everyone is satisfied as there is a range of adjustment for seating.
Study, comfortable, quiet! Nice bike …Very good product for the price. Worth the purchase!
I’ve had this product for exactly two weeks. Definitely easy to assemble.
In regards to noise level, well the more resistance you add the louder the noise gets. Occasionally I watch a youtube video when using the machine and the noise level is ridiculously loud. I’m disappointed since this was one of the reasons I particularly bought this product.
I use this indoor bike everyday and since day two it makes a sound particularly when you add weight on the handles.
I’ve had no issues with the odometer. In fact I find it extremely helpful that the bike comes with one.
With two weeks in using the bike I do have a complaint, other than the noise it makes, and that is the wheel. The wheel appears to be scraped from me using it and I don’t know if that is normal or if in the near future I will have to replace it.
Other than that, the machine is good. I hope this investment will last a few years.
my husband’ve been asking for exercise bike at home, Finally I got this excellent high quality bike for him. Everything is perfect for my cardio as well, very easy to assemble every part of bike. The seat is comfortable and adjustable and bike is solid enough and steady . I love when I get all the information from the display like calories burn, distance in km , time . overall, I love the ride on this bike.
it is easy to assemble while only took me about 20 minutes to complete. the machine is not big while only occupied a little space. at meantime, it is convenient to move around because the tiny wheel under the machine to help moved smoothly. the material cover on the handle is soft, feel comfortable to hold on. the small timer show the running time and calories that is what I am requiring for. the machine is running very quietly, barely hear the sound. there is red bottom in the middle to push to stop running immediately, that is usefully when you want to stop in urgent case. one thing I might need to say is you may not feel easy to put your foot onto the foot pad at first time.. overallit worth to have it. I would recommend it to my friend.
After about a year and riding the bike extremely hard almost everyday the resistance knob finally stripped and wasn’t able to provide anymore resistance. I contacted the customer support team and Jessica shipped a new replacement part the next day and provided videos on how to change the part.
Since we have a full gym we usually pay someone to come out and fix our machines but saw other comments that it’s relatively easy to get a new replacement as long as you show proof of purchase.
This experience alone has made me a life long customer. Whenever expanding our home gym we will definitely go with this brand because they seriously have the best customer support I’ve ever interacted with in my whole life. Extremely easy.
Highly recommend this product to bicycle lovers! Received this bike on the 2nd of June and has been used for a week. It is very easy to assemble, all you need is a flat&open space and a powerful helper(boyfriend or husband)to move it to ur house. Delivery guy will only load it outside on your driveway because it is pretty heavy. Quality wise, it is the best you can get in the market so far.
Functionality- very straightforward display screen and come with 2 batteries. The adjustable seating bar and exercise bar is very friendly to small people like me, I’m only 5’2. Also, this machine is very stable, children in young age will not have ability to move it away.
Bon rapport qualit/prix.
This is a great bike for the money, especially if you’re a beginning rider like myself. Its built well and feels solid while riding seated, or standing for all-outs (I’m about 240lbs). Two complaints:
– If you find a bike in this price range with magnetic resistance, go with that one. The felt pad system squeaks loudly at certain resistance levels and can be distracting.
– The pedals are small and I feel discomfort from the edge of the pedal adding pressure to the center of my foot when standing. This probably would be less of a problem for a lighter individual, but for me its enough that I want to replace the pedals with clip-ins for added comfort and support.
I compared A LOT of bikes on Amazon and Google before buying this one. It is fairly easy to assemble. The instructions make it seem like all the pieces are disassembled. But when the bike comes, most of the parts are already assembled. It took a minute to figure out from the very tiny pictures and print how to attach the pedals. After assembling I sat on it and tried it out. Very quiet. Very sturdy. Everyone at our house is between 160-250 lbs., and this bike has no problem accommodating height and weight. I’m 5′ 11″ and have a 34 in inseam, and the tallest setting I can barely reach the pedals. Display is perfect, simple, and yet tells you everything you need to know. ipad/tablet holder area is perfect. My only beef is that the seat, while it feels super padded and squishy, no matter how I angle it or adjust it, after about 5 minutes, it is pretty uncomfortable. Originally, I had not realized I could tilt it forward (so that the crotch part is lower than the butt part). So that’s on me. I just got that figured out. I’m continuing to tweak it each time, but I’m not sure it’s going to get much more comfortable. The last time I rode it ( a day ago, It was still pretty uncomfortable after 10 minutes). Going to keep working on that seat. Otherwise, the bike is a steal for the money.
After a deep dive researching affordable stationary bikes, the Cyclace bike seemed to have the best buyer reviews. I happily bought the bike, and easily assembled it upon arrival. All parts were present and tools to do the job were included, as well as a spare felt pad and some bolts. The factory seat is ok and somewhat comfortable for me. However, my spouse who is slightly shorter than 5’1″, could not ride comfortably. We bought a lower profile, narrower, gel seat which solved the problem. She can now ride the bike comfortably with her 26″ inseam. After riding it for a couple weeks, the felt friction pad is starting to howl when tension is turned up. The manual notes to use a silicone lubricant on the pad. I have done this and it helped reduce the higher resistance noise problem to an occasional squeak. Otherwise, I am happy with this purchase and recommend it.
As it turns out, I used the bike 3-4 times per week over the past three weeks and I decided that I need a better bike to give me the workouts I desire. I have returned this bike, however it is not a bad piece of equipment that everyone should avoid…not at all.
PROS:
– Relatively low price point (especially when discounted).
– Assembly was super easy.
– Mobility: was simple to move the bike around the space to store off to the side when not in use.
– Comfortable seat.
– Frame and flywheel are solid.
CONS: (not really “cons”, but more underwhelming features)
– Brake pad system was a little choppy and uneven, and got progressively louder as tension was added.
– LCD Information system very rudimentary. Lacking some basic features.
– Pedals felt a little weak/unstable when pedalling at a more intense pace.
– Handle bars are ok, but do not offer any cushion/padding for elbows in “racing” position.
– When handle bars or seat are set on higher (taller) settings, there is a lot of play even when tightened firmly.
OVERALL IMPRESSION:
it is a decent bike for someone that is looking to get moving and do some light to moderate spinning. However, If you are a bit more serious about your spinning, I would bite the bullet and look to step up your options as I believe there are better bikes out there at a slightly higher but still affordable price point.
I’m a large man and needed a spinning bike that could handle my size. I also didn’t have the money for one for one of the “name brands” that have the big screens and classes and such. You know the one.
I was looking for something much less expensive – yet still good enough. This bike fits that description. Is it 5 stars? Yes, if you understand what you are getting: An analog spin bike. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of the more expensive bikes. But it is a good quality bike that I am happy to have purchased.
Setting up the bike was pretty easy. I did it by myself in maybe 15 minutes. It comes with pedals, but I used some SPD pedals that I have. Worked just fine.
I also installed a cadence sensor from Garmin to help with my training.
The bike comes with a small display, but I honestly don’t use it. I use the cadence sensor and a heart-rate monitor to monitor my “rides.” YMMV on that. Some reviewers have used Wahoo cadence and speed sensors as well, if you’re looking for more data.
The only small issue I’ve had is the nuts holding the seat together have come loose – but a quick tightening and I was good to go.
Overall, though, I’m very happy with the purchase.
The bike came in a single box and was well packaged. It come with an assembled frame and wheel, and you attached the seat post, handlebar post, and support “feet. It comes with all of the hardware in a shrink wrapped sheet with one extra foot bolt and handlebar bolt. In a nice touch, they provide a tool that has all of the hex bolt sizes and screwdriver needed to perform a complete assembly.
The directions read like poor “Google Translation” Chinese to English, but the schematic photos made assembly reasonably easy. Some tips:
When you try to install the seat and handlebar posts, and pull out the spring loaded locking pin, the posts will not slide down the tubes. You need to unscrew to spring loaded pines to completely back the locking pin out before the post will slide in. Not a big deal.
The pedals are extreme overkill. They resemble cleats you would strap to your boots to climb an ice glacier. They have sharp aggressive anti-slip teeth that will give you a nasty leg scratch as you mount or dismount and miss the pedal. I took the pedals off of an old junk bike and use them instead.
The seat is ridiculously skinny and hard and very uncomfortable. I took the seat from the old junk bike and it is an improvement. I have ordered a larger padded seat. The skinny seat complaint is common from Peloton owners who paid triple the cost of this bike.
I am a large heavyset guy and was able to adjust the bike to fit me. Between the vertical seat and handlebar height range, and the lateral seat adjustment, everyone should be able to comfortable use this bike.
The resistance adjustment works very well and responds to as little as 1/4 turns. The bike comes with a replacement resistance pad which is nice. Riding the bike at speeds up to about 10mph produced only very little noise so you should be able to watch TV or listen to music and a moderate level.
15 miles over 3 days – so far so good. I recommend this bike. Thanks
I didn’t want to deal with going to the gym or deal with allergies while running so this seemed like a good option for cardio during Covid. I was worried I was spending less than I should but I must say it was worth it!
So I am 5ft7 and it’s perfect for my height. My girlfriend is 5ft1 and she got lucky. I think that is as low as it goes for height.
The bike is pretty damn well made! Looks sexy BUT there are a couple problems. For one it seems the pedals cause a loud noise when starting but it shouldn’t be hard to fix. Also, the seat and handlebars can shake just a little when in use but it’s not a deal breaker at all. Putting together the bike took about 45 minutes but it was soo easy someone could probably do it faster. Also the packaging kept everything looking good!
I really like that it has a tablet holder too. Above where the tablet goes is a device keeping track of miles, calories and time. It’s probably not the most accurate calorie or distance counter but it helps get around the ballpark which I like to know at all times. It comes with triple a batteries too.
The only thing I bought is a new Gel seat cover for comfort. For a noob it is a must Buy but if you ride regularly then the seat is ok.
The resistance is pretty good on this bike. I feel a burning in my legs after each session and that’s all I need to know I’m getting the workout I desired! I’d recommend this bike for those out of shape, those Not so out of shape but who want to lose some quick weight or for anyone on a budget.
The package arrived within a few days in a fairly large, very heavy box. Setup was a matter of 8 screws, so attach the feet, seat, and handlebars, along with attaching the pedals. It came with a few spare parts, including an extra brake. There is a multitool and Allen key included which was nice, so no additional tools were required. I did my first ride using a beginners video on YouTube. The seat was impressively comfortable. I used to cycle quite a bit, so it felt fairly natural to climb on and get the heights setup correctly. The pedal stroke was solid and the flywheel has a good heft to it. The only thing I wasn’t certain of was how to gauge my RPM’s and tension in comparison to the spin class video. I have a pretty good feel for 60 RPM, but above that was just a wild guess. The LCD doesn’t provide much value for these metrics. It does provide speed, distance and calories, along with time at least. I am sure I can figure the RPM’s out based on speed. The tension is just a gut feel then, which is fine.
The bike is very quiet and outside of my furious effort at doing 110RPM, felt very in control. After my first 20 minute spin, I was surprisingly spent, but felt great. I am looking forward to getting in to the routine of it. I might need to compete for access and fend off my wife and daughter though!
The packaging was a mess (tons of styrofoam that went everywhere and packing tape that made it difficult to pull out of the box) but almost everything was preassembled so it was quick to put together. After a week of enjoying the bike, it’s started making an awful LOUD knocking sound whenever the pedals made a complete revolution. I contacted support and they suggested a nut was screwed too tightly to the axle that the left pedal is attached to. I loosened it slightly and that seemed to fix it. No other issues with the bike, other than an uncomfortable seat. I wish the computer display would show revolutions, but it’s not a big deal. The tablet holder is a huge plus!
Easy to assemble. Took us about 45 minutes but it wasn’t hard labor. Just taking time to make sure it was done right. We’ve had it for a few weeks now. It’s quiet! Seat works for me but my husband bought a gel seat cover for when he rides. A couple things to note. Handle bars at the top height slightly wobble. And there are two screw/nut pairs under the seat and the one nut comes loose every time we ride. Sometimes it falls off. We cannot figure out how to get it tight so it stays put! So every time we ride, we have to put it back on or tighten it. If it’s loose/off, the seat wobbles. Overall though, we are super happy with it.
Note: this is my first indoor bike. I’m extremely satisfied with this bike. It’s quiet, the hand rail configuration is awesome because I can cycle in different positions that I find comfortable, and the display is functional. As to the latter part (the lcd display), with no previous experience in this realm I can only say it is satisfactorily useful. If you have a big tablet it may block the display. I do, however, like the tablet holder for my phone; it definitely has enough space for it. The seat was okay, but maybe as noobie it was and adjustment on my part. Although, I did replace the seat because it did help with a different cushion on a different one; it helped a little bit more.
Pros:
– Decently sturdy
– Seems to be built more solid that first bike I received (see cons)
– Easy to assemble
– Handle bar material is really nice & doesn’t feel cheap like other bikes
– Doesn’t take up a lot of space
Cons:
– Bike seat was completely unusable. The parts to adjust were welded together so the seat couldn’t be adjusted. It was stuck facing downward
– Received wrong bike. Amazon sent me a Yosuda stationary bike when I ordered this one. Not an easy return/exchange
– Definitely makes noise – squeaking, clicking, grinding, etc. In addition, you can hear the felt pad pressing down which is to be expected with this kind of bike.
– Handle bars wobble no matter how much I tighten them
– Bike seems to be unaligned (pedals and bike seat post are off center from handle bar post)
Picked this up as a second bike as my family often likes to work out together and have found it more motivating to workout in couples. Accordingly, we wanted to try out another budget bike (500 or less). So far, this bike has met our expectations and feels extremely solidly built. Unlike other cheaper budget bikes that typically feel lighter/cheaper, this one feels really solid – barely moves even at top bike pace.
BREAKDOWN /
Stable -> With everything tightened well and on a flat surface, this bike is incredibly stable and reliable. You can go top speed for an hour and probably not feel unsafe at all during the process.
Build Quality -> For any budget unit, you usually have to give up features like an odometer or a decent tension spinner, but these work great. Aesthetically the wire and unit on top don’t look super beautiful, but it’s for your home gym and does the job incredibly well, I could care less what it looks like (see photos). Our old bike had a ton of plastic parts and stuff that felt cheap; this does not. Although it’s a budget bike, it definitely doesn’t feel like it.
Appearance -> Looks great. Looks and feels like a gym bike and you wouldn’t think it’s a budget bike by any regard.
/ Adjustability -> The adjustability of this unit is on the fence. In one hand it has a lot of adjustability options and can easily accommodate most heights. However, it definitely is a bit hard to adjust as you need to take 2-3 minutes to unscrew and readjust instead of a pin like the gym ones. It’s really not a big deal, but if you have multiple different heighted people using it may get annoying if you’re pumped for a workout – but really just a slight inconvenience, nothing against the unit.
/ Tension -> Tension wheel works great but just takes some getting used to. Unlike the ones in the gyms with dials for tension, this on is just a wheel you can spin as much as you’d like either direction. Not a huge deal but if you’re following a cycling video where they ask you to turn to a dial it may not be exact / something you need to get a feel for.
Assembly -> The assembly is super easy to follow and set up, 2 of us built it in about 15 minutes with no real confusions or issues. The screws/bolts are well organized and the parts are obvious where they go. No issues here.
Bonus features-> Small little features like the tablet holder attachment and water bottle holder are nice. Usually with less expensive units you think they miss these small quality of life additions, but this unit really has a few cool bonuses with the bike.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Recommended!
Overall, this unit definitely exceeded my expectations. After using $2,000 bikes at my local gym for 8 years I figured with lockdown it made sense to buy a unit and protect myself. This has honestly worked just as well if not better than the bikes in the gyms b/c I get to use it from home. I just throw a show on my ipad, mount it on the front, and I can bike for an hour without noticing. Overall this bike is fantastic at the price point. If you’re expecting all the bells and whistles and stainless steel you’d see on a fancy bike than you probably shouldn’t be looking for budget options. That being said, the utility in it’s functionality is all there and at $500 – you can’t go wrong.
I’ll update this review should anything go wrong with the unit – but as far as I can tell now, it feels solid.
I bought the Cycleace for my wife (who wanted a stationary bike post knee surgery), but I use it more than she does at this point. In the past few years, my primary exercise has been in the form of strenuous folk dancing (take a look at Scottish Country Dancing videos, and you will get my point, plus, please come join us after we get past the pandemic), but COVID did that in.
The Cycleace bike was very easy to assemble, and I have used it over the last six week (four times a week) with huge success. The wool felt friction resistance is working well (noise has not been an issue). The handle bar layout is really great (I have added a mount for a cell phone, and there is plenty of room for a tablet to add video). The handle bar layout does include drop bars, but I don’t see a lot of use for them. Although, as I write this, I realize that they can be used as sweat towel racks, which can come in handy if you really use the Cycleace. At the same time, the drop bars aren’t an impediment if you don’t use them.
As indicated above, I added the cell phone mount, and did the Wahoo Cadence/RPM “mod” to the bike (The Wahoo cadence sensor is something that Amazon “suggests” as part of a recommended “up-sell” for this purchase, as well as for the purchase of all other stationary bikes). In my opinion, this is a really great up-sell purchase, despite some issues with doing an initial sync with the Wahoo app and an Android phone. it has been very reliable after the initial connection, plus it is the reason for the cell phone mount.
I do recommend taking advantage of online spin classes, in addition to a cadence/rpm monitor, to get the most out of this purchase.
Good stationary bike for the price. Noise is low, it does squeak a bit at higher resistance when coming to a stop but I’m hoping a bit of cleaning/lubricant will help with that.
The electronic display monitor that comes with the bike to show distance, etc. broke after two weeks when moving the bike, but I taped it and it still works, just be mindful that the back plastic piece holding it onto the bike isn’t sturdy.
Only real annoyance was the bike saddle. While larger than most, it was very uncomfortable for me after week two, and I ordered a compatible 10″ comfort seat to swap onto the bike and it’s a solid ride now.
For the price, would definitely recommend this.
I have been wanting to try a spin workout and began looking into spin bikes. Did not want to invest a lot of money into an expensive bike just yet so I got this one. This bike does not show you resistance or cadence on the monitor (I knew this before purchase). I am using this bike with my Ipad and using the peloton app. I just kinda match my leg speed to instructors and use resistance per my own ability. The bike arrived in a short time (Cali to NV), putting it together was a snap (wld recommend own tools but came with cheap tools needed), the seat is pretty cushiony (have changed out for different one but its not necessary), feels sturdy (210lbs 5’6). I have been using this bike for a month now 5-7 times a week 15-30 mins long (in and out of saddle with various resistance levels). This bike has got the job done, arrived with no damage, fairly quiet (does get a little louder with more resistance and small squick from felt brake on spin wheel) nothing major but wouldnt use it while everyone is sleeping. I would recommend for a beginner bike, you get what you pay for, it’s not perfect but gets the job done I am enjoying it so far!
Needed to replace and wanted another exercise bike without spending a lot of $$$$, this one fits the category. This bike was added to my other cardio equipment, treadmill and elliptical, I use this bike for cycling, not trying to do a spin class with it I don’t try to stand up to peddle the bike that’s what the elliptical is for. I do, do sprints with the bike. As far as putting it together, it was simple took me 40 minutes but I just like working at a slow pace was not in a rush. I am 6’4″, 316 lbs, 62 years young! I did not use the seat that came with the bike nothing wrong with it I already had a saddle seat. Over all having the bike for a week now I’am very satisfied with it.
UPDATE:1 month into having this bike and I am happy to say ‘no problems’ at all! I use this bike at least 3 times a week. I do sprints with this bike along with a good cardio ride. I don’t use the monitor at all it’s not even plug in! I have a riding app I use and can customize to my liking. It’s been a great investment and a great addition to my stable of cardio equipment. Remember “You can’t exercise your way out of a bad diet”
I purchased this bike since I am 6’3″ and 280 lbs and it works perfectly for me. Nothing wobbles and the ride is smooth. The only issue I had was quickly remedied by support. The cap cut that the resistance rod screws into was loose upon arrival and this part is already assembled so I did not think to remove the cover and check it. This caused uneven pressure on the break pad which caused 1 side to push down hard and leave marks on the flywheel. I was able to get the marks off with some light stainless steel cleaner. After tightening the nut and applying some lubricant, I have not had any excess noise. Support is also sending a replacement flywheel in case any of the marks caused permanent damage. Totally satisfied with the product and the support.
Bike is stable, really good material and built overall. The material on the handles is grippy and stays in place letting us work as hard as we want. Easy to build. At first the seat will feel hard but will get softer after couple 3-4 sessions. Bike is running like new after 150 kilometers.
I have not used the bike yet because I’m debating if I should return it. For the money spent and the time assembling it, I am not impressed.
EDITED REVIEW: I contacted the seller and they sent out replacement pieces right away. The bike itself has been working great. I am updating my 1 star review to a 4 star review. Had it not been for the mishap, this would be a 5 star review.
Update: Took the casing off and turns out the belt slipped and burned the plastic casing. Spent and hour to disassemble the flywheel and get belt on. Seems to work but when putting the casin back it scrapes again. Seems like such an easy fix, just make the plastic casing bigger/better fit. Manufacturer has been contacted. Will continue to update.
Update 5-22-2021: Turns out a snap ring had broken and crank wheel had been displaced to the right and was rubbing against the plastic casing. Manufacturer sent replacement parts as well as tools (including crank puller and snap ring tool). Initially it was frustrating to fix because everything was tightened by factory tools and hence extremely tight, but pro-tip for repairs put the flywheel in full stop with the brake pad and that helps to add leverage to open the bolts at the pedals. Lots of back and forth with manufacturer but they were able to guide me through the repair and I actually feel equipped to repair it further if I need to. Manufacturer refunded 40 dollars as promised for the trouble of fixing it myself. Back to 5 stars mostly because of good service, I expect the snap ring to break again (which is literally just 50 cent or 1 buck piece), but feel I can work on it myself in case it happens again because of the experience.
Update 9-19-2021: Resistance knob stopped working, turns out the rod became stripped. Contacted support and got a replacement rod within two days and back in action. Places a second snap ring to support the original and so far seems to be holding (although very loud, that noise you hear is the snap ring turning). 5/5 stars still.
1 – Arrived on time despite snowstorms – AWESOME
2 – New bike, new parts, no missing parts, no signs of used or returned bike, THANK YOU
3 – Assembly was super easy
4- CYCLACE SENT A REMINDER EMAIL RE: PEDAL INSTALL – AWESOME STEP!!! VERY HELPFUL
5 – Used a size 13mm socket for the base and seat bolts. Used a #5 T handle Hex Key for handle bar
PERFORMANCE – Watched comparison videos on Youtube, Amazon, and different blogs. This bike made the most sense. There’s one youtuber who posted a Peloton bike hack. Can’t recall her name but look for it on youtube. She goes through the process from purchase to assembly, etc. She was spot on.
MY CONCERN: how would it arrive? Damaged? Scratched? Thankfully, NOT ONE SCRATCH! Carrier used: UPS
My other concern: I’m 280 6′, will the bike be too small? The photos and videos are deceiving. It’s much larger in person. My weight is still a concern but the bike size is not.
CONS: If the designer asked, where can we improve on the bike? The pedals and possibly the seat, however, are the pedals and seat good? Yes! Am I complaining? No, not a complaint and no need to remove a star.
OVERALL: Thumbs up all around and the bike looks pretty cool as well 🙂
Sold!!! My first at home spin bike was purchased off Facebook Marketplace and was alright…but not built to withstand the weight of a 200+ lb. woman. It would wobble when I was out of saddle and this bike…is like a tank when I get up!! I’m amazed at how sturdy this bike is and already love it. Waiting to do my first official ride after dark so I can get my cool lights going that I like. But I took it for a spin for 15 minutes and it’s great! Not super duper quiet but I blast my music and don’t have to be quiet so that’s really not an issue for me. It’s more of a whisper sound from the belt. Cyclace…thank you!!! I saved so much money and can do my Les Mills immersive classes like a pro now
P.S. The tablet/phone holder is sturdy too and I won’t be using the display unit provided as I have my own Wahoo cadence and speed tracker linked to my phone. Don’t need a heart rate monitor because I have my Samsung watch to track me. If you have all the add ons and upgrades (like my Shimano SPD pedals) then you don’t need Pelaton or any other really expensive (and in my opinion overpriced) bike. BUY THIS BIKE!! HONESTLY! YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
This bike was exactly what I was looking for in a stationary bike. I was considering a couple of similarly-priced/made bikes but ultimately settled here. I’m not a cyclist by any means and wanted to add a little more movement into my long days of studying. The handlebars even perfectly fit my IPAD or laptop for when I want to review my notes while biking.
This bike was easy to put together (less than 45 mins), feels secure, and is quiet enough for my second-floor apartment. I did have a little trouble with a clicking sound coming from the left pedal, but I realized that the pedal was attached wrongly. I reattached the pedal and the sound is gone. The only other slight frustration (not even a frustration but something I’ve noticed), the seat sometimes twists very slightly when I’m riding. This may be just because I didn’t give an extra effort when tightening the seat. I don’t think this is an issue with the make of the bike.
Overall, I recommend this bike. Do not hesitate to buy if you are considering this bike!
I am currently on ride #102. I wanted to make sure that my impression of this bike was the same now as it was on the first ride to give an honest and accurate review & this bike is worth every penny!! I’ve had it in my bedroom on top of a floor pad & carpet & it creaks a little here & there which I’d imagine would not happen if you had it on solid ground, but otherwise the bike is very silent & it’s nice not to have a chain that will eventually wear out. I also bought the extended warranty but don’t forsee having any issues because this bike is very well made! I do use a padded seat (which I HIGHLY recommend for comfort purposes) & if I had any complaint about the bike it would just be that the way the seat sits on the bike it does move some but mostly not involuntarily. I am very happy with this investment purchase & would definitely recommend it to all levels of riders!!! It’s a GREAT value for what you pay!!
Received today, January 25. Ordered January 4th. So if your in a hurry….
Packaging was far better than some items received lately.
Pic of what comes in the box (saddle not in pic) and then assembled. Took less than 20 minutes. Tools included worked fine.
So far so good. Will update in a week but initial quality appears good as I’m used to gym quality spin bikes and this one is solid. I put an old pair of SPD pedals on in place of the baskets that are included. Tonight we ride!!
Update: Rode two nights so far Monday/Tuesday. 12 miles each night. It’s quiet, stable except for a bit of wobble in stem/ handlebar assembly but I’ll put a small shim there to stabilize. Resistance is great. Thought maybe a heavier wheel like a 40+ pounder would be needed. Nope, standing position is same as gym quality, dripping wet after 45 minutes. Two things I would upgrade if I was the manufacturer would be a better monitor. It’s quite basic. Still works for me, time, speed and miles. Also, when pedaling with one leg, you spin people will get this, you get a bit of a whine or squeal from the lower bracket. Probably due to torque on one side and not the other. So maybe a beefed up lower bracket bearing. I’ll probably limit this exercise for mechanical reasons.
Still, for under $400 I’m very satisfied!
I wanted to wait until I’d used this product for a couple months before leaving a review. I’m always meticulous in reviewing products and their competitors before making a larger/long term purchase. After much review, I elected to go with this stationary bicycle. Overall, for the price range I was looking to spend, I consider this to be a great purchase.
From the box, it was easy to install and came with everything you needed (tools included and extra parts). Complete installation probably took about thirty minutes.
The bicycle will accommodate nearly any body type with all the adjustable parts (seat, handlebars, etc.) The seat is average; I’ve done up to an hour on the bicycle, which is completely manageable from a comfort standpoint.
The noise level is a non-issue. This bicycle is set up in a basement family room and I watch tv as I use it; no issues there.
The biggest, and perhaps only downfall with this product is the LCD screen/unit that it comes with. It’s basically worthless. If you do as much as tap the handlebars (such as placing your phone or tablet on it) the unit turns off and resets and starts over. This isn’t really a big issue or deal breaker for me because I use my watch to track my exercise.
If you’re looking for a stationary bike in this price range, I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. If the LCD unit worked properly, I’d give it a five. If you consider the LCD unit that comes with the product a vital piece to you workout, I would look for a different product other than this one.

We bought two bikes on Black Friday for around $300 each, this one and the Yosuda brand. They are both pretty good quality for the price. You aren’t getting the precision and quality of a much more expensive, gym-quality bike, but for my purposes it suits me just fine.
Many of the parts on the two bikes look like they were pulled from the same warehouse and are identical but there are some slight differences. I like the front roller wheels on this on better than the Yosuda, it’s easier to maneuver, but the Yosuda has a better handlebar setup so… give and take. I probably prefer the Yosuda over this one but by an extremely small margin.
TLDR; easy to maneuver around the house, relatively quiet, easy to assemble, pretty good workout bike for the price.
Assembly was fairly straightforward and took about 20-30 minutes to get set up with the included multipurpose tool.
Fit adjustments are pretty good (seat moves up-down-front-back) but the handlebars only move up and down at an angle, which can make getting an exact fit a little challenging for riders with short arms or torsos. If you’re using this bike to get in shape from not exercising a lot, you may want to replace the saddle with something a little more accommodating, as the included saddle is somewhat narrow and firm.
The onboard computer tracks speed, distance and time but not cadence, so consider investing in a Bluetooth sensor and attaching it to the crank.
The tablet holder molded into the handlebars securely holds an 10-inch iPad Pro with a folding cover and is perfect for using the “Group of Bicycle Racers” app.
Resistance is adjusted by screwing a felt pad up or down to drag on the flywheel, so it can be hard to quantify how much resistance you have dialed in, but a full turn of the knob makes a noticeable difference in effort level. Even at high resistance the bike is pretty quiet although not silent.
Overall it’s a solid piece of equipment, at least so far, after about 20 rides between four people of varying sizes, ages and fitness levels.
Had been using a Peloton at my gym for over a year (yes, they have 8 of them). Decided to get a bike for home, and selected the Cyclace. Have been using it for a few months now, and i am very happy with my purchase. It was easy to setup. I use the Peloton app and have a good sized screen in front of the bike which is perfect. The only other addition is, i purchased the Wahoo devices (speed, and cadance) which i hook up my phone, and leave on the shelf on the handlebars. I bought both, but the cadance device is all you probably need. Note. Not really a downside as i am familiar with Peloton resistance, so i can match it fairly closely, but there is no way to integrate resistance with Peloton app, and bike, but like i said, this is really not a negative. Highly recommend this bike
Purchased the spin bike about September and loved the sturdiness of it and the adjustable positions available. I started using it a lot since my gym had temporarily closed and the weather outside was to cool for me to bike and I found it to be a smooth ride and comparable to the spin bikes I used at the gym.
I highly recommended it to my sister-in-law who purchased one after checking out mine and turns out another friend of hers got one after checking out hers.
Unfortunately after about 500 miles I started hearing a rubbing sound.
I took off the belt cover and I could see the main pulley had shifted over. I took pictures and contacted cyclace and they were very helpful and sent me the tools and videos to make repairs the locking ring on the axle was broke. Made the repairs and it wasn’t to difficult the crank arm was a little tight but got it off. Now I’m back cycling again. Still happy with the bike and would still recommend it as long as they are backing it up with help.
We made an appointment at the P store and tried it out learned all about it. I had already had the P app for a free trial so I knew how that worked but I just couldn’t justify spending that much money for a bike. I’m not looking to be competitive or live classes but that is still always an option even with this bike. This bike arrived super quick. So easy to assemble. It is heavy so you feel secure riding yet incredibly easy to move around with the wheels on the front. There is hardly sound, a low smooth velvety sound. My husband works from home right now and he will walk out of the office and see I’m working out and say he couldn’t even hear me from the next room. It’s smooth riding. Easy to adjust. Comfortable. It is more by feel than level like on a P but I’m ok with that. My daughter who is 10 on the shorter side under 5′ is about two inches too short for safety but soon enough she’ll be riding too. I’m 5’9 and it could still go up several levels of height for someone taller.
For the price I’m not feeling at all guilty about not riding everyday or about spending that much money like you would in a P.
Throw on your iPad, do a class or watch your favorite show get a great workout.
Setup did take awhile with this bike, but the biggest issue is that it did not come with handlebars initially! Amazon wasn’t able to assist me other than sending me to the seller. I was doubtful, but the seller did send out the handlebars quickly, so that impressed me after the initial inconvenience. I bought this bike for the winter since I knew I wouldn’t be motivated to bike or run outside. I used to belong to a nice gym with fancy bikes. Although this bike is not comparable, it is good for what I need it to do. I’ve used it with both Soulcycle and Peloton workouts. I cannot tell the RPMs or the resistance level, but these are not necessary to get a workout. It is very heavy but it rolls well. Either the screen readings are incorrect or my Apple watch is, as the readings are very different. Overall, I definitely don’t think it is necessary to drop big money on a fancy bike with a screen when you can use your own tablet and do just fine with a bike like this, unless you are using it everyday.
Update 12/24/2020 had to update my review today. Earlier this week a customer service rep reached out to me about giving me a credit for the LCD monitor that kept breaking but I never had a chance to respond because of work and the holidays. Today in the mail, I received a new monitor to replace the broken one. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least so to the company’s credit, I changed my rated to 5 stars. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Firstly I’d like to say I’m not the most technical person. It took about 35 minutes to put together (I actually timed myself on my phone).
I love that it doesn’t take up too much space, which my apartment appreciates.
I can appreciate that there was one additional piece of each nut, bolt, slider, etc which kind of freaked me out at first. Convenient if you’re not too organized.
Directions were simple to follow and intuitive. Also, the tools that came with the bike were more than sufficient for everything in regards to tightening the pieces together. Very easy to assemble.
I’m on the larger side at 5’11”, 200lbs and I felt comfortable on the bike. It didn’t squeak or bounce. Didn’t feel like it would fall apart while riding it. The resistance is easy to manipulate and responsive.
The seat is on the uncomfortable side, but I feel this is pretty standard with most bikes.
All in all, I think if you’re looking to stay active at home with continual gym lockdowns, you can add a tablet onto the bike (sturdy spot for it) and download a good app to keep you motivated. You don’t need to drop $2k+ unless you really want to, of course.
I bought this bike to use with the Peloton app, and have been very happy with it. I didn’t want to drop a ton of money on a spin bike until I was sure I could get into a routine and that I would use it regularly (I’ve been burned before with spending thousands of dollars on exercise equipment that just ends up being a laundry hanger!), so I chose this entry level bike to get started. If I stick with it and this bike wears out, I’ll eventually upgrade to a more advanced type of bike in the future.
I’ve had this bike for a few months now and ride it a few times a week, and it’s still going strong. I did experience a few minor squeaks and creaks a few weeks after I got it, but everything seems to have settled into place and it’s been quiet ever since, with some occasional re-tightening of knobs & screws. I did my research before buying this bike, and am aware that some regular maintenance is necessary to keep a friction resistance spin bike working smoothly, so this was all expected. It was really easy to assemble – I did it myself in less than 45 minutes. Is it the highest quality bike you’ll find? Nope. But for the bargain price, it works great for me as a basic entry level spin bike.
If you’re planning to use the Peloton app with it, take note that the built-in computer on this bike doesn’t use RPMs, and the classes are all coached to RPMs. But I purchased a Wahoo cadence sensor that can be mounted on the pedals and synced to the Peloton app, which displays your cadence right on the screen. You also need to estimate what resistance levels you’re using — there are no standard numbers for resistance on this bike. But after a few times riding it, you start to learn what resistance levels are appropriate for you and how many knob turns it takes to get there.
We all in this household are retirees! Due to our current social climate, going to the gym is no longer a viable option. We decided to develop a home gym instead, emphasizing cardio. This bike fits the bill. By no means are any of us expert road racers, we prefer 7 speed cruisers! This bike allows the user to elevate their heart rate based on his/her individual ability, which works for me. My mom is 86, and she uses this bike with ease. We all ride it daily and have not experienced any negative issues. The bike arrived in a single box, and yes it is heavy. There are easy to understand instructions provided, so we were able to assemble the bike in well under an hour. We assembled in the backyard and had to move it to the gym room. Although heavy for me, my husband moved it easily with attached rollers. We did read other reviews regarding noise and using silicone lubricant. My husband sprays just a little bit on the outside of the wheel disc and thus far it has worked. So far we really like this bike!
Pros:
-Great price for what it is (I did extensive research ahead of time)
-Handlebars are well made and versatile
-Ipad/phone holder holds your gadget very steady and no worries of it falling
-Seat is very comfortable
-Very easy to move
Cons:
-The squeak at the ‘jogging’ level really is frustrating and the biggest issue with this bike. I was aware of the infamous squeak based on the reviews but chose to ignore and hope mine wouldn’t have it because the bike had so many other things I was looking for (see: pros). I contacted customer service and they responded quickly requesting a video. We ended up spraying a silicone WD40 and the customer service team refunded me $30 which was nice. However, the squeak comes back weekly and, unless you have pretty good headphones on, it is very distracting especially because it is right in between the easy and hard levels (for my bike anyway).
-The plug in to monitor calories, distance, etc. is pretty cheap so treat with care as the back plastic portion will break pretty easily. Not a huge deal if you have a fitness tracker, though.
It’s easily moved by one person alone, not very heavy, and doesn’t take up too much space relative to its purpose.
The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars? The more than somewhat uncomfortable seat. Even that can prolly be remedied by buying and installing a new one of your own choice.
Months and many miles later, I continue to be happy with this Cyclace bike.
I wanted a bike to use indoors with a $350 budget so I did some research on exercise blogs and websites. I saw this one described as “similar to the Peleton” because of the setup, handle bars, etc. I have had the bike about one week and I am very happy with it. It is compact, very quiet, has wheels on the front so I can tilt it up and move it around my garage and is a smooth ride. The handle bar positions are great when I want to adjust my body and the seat is not super hard. Everything seems like great quality so far, but I have only been using it two hours a day. This is my first exercise bike and while there are many on the market I have zero complaints with this one! It was inexpensive, easy to assemble, nice looking and feels good. My only ‘cons’ is the tiny water bottle holder (but you really cannot have a large bottle of water near your legs) and the monitor is not backlit, so it can be difficult to read, but I wear a fitbit so I use that. Overall I definitely recommend this bike.
I purchased this bike when it was an Amazon Prime Day special. I’d been looking for a spin-type bike to replace an upright desk/bike I had in my office to increase versatility. This bike is highly rated on Amazon, the feature set was appropriate for what I was looking for, and the price during the Prime Day sale was fantastic. I took a chance and purchased it.
The delivery arrived a couple of days ahead of schedule – always nice. All of the parts were there, with an extra item for each fastener, just in case. Assembly was easy, the bike rolled nicely into my office, and it was sturdy. I have done a few rides on the bike, including following along with a <> app ride. So far, I’m impressed with the sturdiness, quietness (very quiet), and smooth operation. The cushion is comfy. They include a spare friction pad to replace the one that comes with the bike when it wears out, which is helpful. The manual they sent via email is better than the one that comes printed with the bike, so look for the confirmation email for this manual.
I did put my own SPD pedals onto the bike, so I didn’t install the pedals it came with, but the cranks are standard for aftermarket pedals if you don’t want to use the ones that come with the bike (they look like they are flat pedals with cages). The only issue I’ve had is trying to get the seat tight enough so that it doesn’t tilt back and forth, but I think I’ve just about got it. Otherwise, it’s a good bike so far.
First off, the bike was easy to assemble and rode well. Unfortunately, a part in crank and spindle assembly (I’m told the snap ring) broke after about a month. Took the belt cover off enough to see what happened and emailed pictures to customer support. They diagnosed the issue and quickly sent me a replacement part, tools and instructions for how to access and fix the issue. As I got into the repair, it appeared that more than the snap ring was damaged and it may be an issue I can’t fix on my own. I sent more pictures to customer service. With COVID, there wasn’t really have an option to have some else fix it.
Cyclace offered me a full refund (they were out of stock on new bikes after Amazon day), and processed it quickly. So although I’m disappointed a part broke, customer service was quick and helpful in trying to fix the issue. When they couldn’t fix it, they backed the product and their warranty, so I don’t have any complaints.
Bike arrived fairly quickly. It was delivered in one box. mostly already assembled. The box was intact. However, the inside packaging was poorly done. The smaller parts required for assembly (nuts, bolts, washers) were not securely placed in their package. Small pieces were scattered throughout the box upon opening. All items were accounted for.
Instructions were easy to follow. Some of the wording was very vague but it was easy to figure out what they meant. Assembly took 30-45 minutes by myself.
After completing the set up, I noticed the water bottle holder arrived bent. Far too bent to hold a bottle properly. I will be contacting company for replacement part and update review based on service.
the bike rides well and is really quiet. Seat height and resistance are easy to adjust. Would have given 5 stars if the packaging was done with more care and the water bottle holder arrived in useable condition.
We’ve had this bike for going on six months and we’re very happy with it. M wife and I each use it three times a week and it’s held up extremely well and I expect it to have a long life. We were looking for a relatively inexpensive bike, and I have to say that for what we want this thing is every bit as good as our son’s $2000 exercise bike. (Notice that the price has gone about fifty dollars in the last six months, though, or about 16 or 17 percent.) Two things: a slight squeak at higher speeds, and no way to calibrate the resistance. I mean, you can tighten it or loosen it, but there’s no indication where you are on resistance. When I get off the bike my wife has no way to know whether I tightened it down or not, no way of knowing whether resistance is high or low. She’ll have to try to reset it by feel. The squeak is not a problem at all for us. The resistance thing is something of a problem, but for this price I’m willing to give it five stars anyway. Maybe they’ll take the hint and put in some sort or resistance indicator. (The fifty dollars they’ve added to the price should cover that!)
That being said, the resistance is great, the ride is smooth, and the noise level is minimal. Very quiet, like a low hum. The seat is very comfortable. Maybe too cushioned for me, but it’s nice when you sit in the saddle. The ride feels extremely stable and I have my bike on carpet.
The bike has a low profile, doesn’t take up a lot of space, and is nice to look at. If you’re on a budget, and have tight space, this is a great find!
I did use the Peloton app with this and had a great workout. I normally don’t check cadence or what not, and I know how to push myself without needing all the gizmos of a fancier bike.
Assembly was easy. Took about 30 minutes or less. It’s surprisingly not that hard to move either. It feels pretty light.
Would buy again.
My teenage son assembled it for me since I didn’t trust myself, ha! Once it was assembled and cited to take my first ride on it. I have to say that I am truly loving it! I decided to download the peloton app to use along for the rides, and other exercises as well. I purchased a Wahoo cadence tracker which syncs up with the peloton app to get an accurate reading of my cadence.
All in all, I am extremely happy with this purchase. My husband uses this daily and so do I. If you’re considering purchasing the bike or are on the fence because you’re worried that it won’t way up to competitors because of its cost efficiency, rest assured knowing that this bike can definitely stand up to its competitors.
Unfortunately for me, one of the main components was damaged during its transit – and I ended up needing to replace the entire unit. And the reason I’m leaving a 5-star review is because of how genuinely helpful and supportive the Cyclace support team was. I’ve dealt with other companies in the past who gave me the ‘run around’ for weeks and weeks whenever I’ve had hardware issues with their products. Not Cyclace. When I first reached out and explained what happened, they took full responsibly for the issue – and took immediate steps to resolve it. To be honest, I was shocked at how kind and considerate their support team was — and for this reason, I would absolutely recommend this bike to anyone who doesn’t want to spend $2,000 or more on a ‘Peloton style’ bike.
And the best part is that if you’re not totally thrilled with your purchase – I know that their support team will do everything in their power to make it right for you. Cyclace is a really fantastic company – I literally cannot say enough nice things about them. Thank you!!
2. Unboxing it: Lots of microbeads fell out. I dont know where they are from? The wheel? No clue, but I’m keeping my eye on it. It got all over the place though and had to vacuum several times. I don’t see anymore coming out.
3. Assembly was easy peasy with help. Alone it would have been a bit frustrating but still do-able.
4. Seat is probably the most cushioned cycling seat I’ve ever used. After my first day of using it I’m used to it already.
5. It did start squeaking while I was seated only so I figured out where the noise was coming from ( the seat adjuster) and I sprayed some good WD-40 on that joint and now, silence when I ride.
6. The odometer/spedometer…Xometer is…kind of cheap. Not that pressed about it though, I was not expecting it to be accurate. I think I will try to find my polar watch and strap.
like this bike alot. Gives me a hard workout. Great for this new COVID-19 era. Even when gyms open back up a cycling class just doesn’t sound safe or appealing. Now, I get to do it at home for free 🙂
This bike is great for the price. So long as the resistence keeps working and there is no squeaking that I can’t fix I will love this thing. 1 star off for the beads. I need an explanation for what that is and how that will affect my bike if at all. I hope not.
To follow up, Cyclace response was fast, sending out a new tension rod. Installing was pretty easy and the bike is working fine. My wifey is happy!
Well it has stripped out again. My wife is bummed. I’ve emailed customer service again to see about another replacement part. Hopefully they can send out another. It would be nice to see the part made of a stronger metal.
This is a good bike. My wife loves it. After reaching out to Cyclace once again, they have upgraded the tension rod mechanism and the replacement so far is working well. I will continue to update as needed. Ty Cyclace!
I don’t write a ton of reviews, but wanted to for this bike. It is honestly a great bike for the price! I love it!
It’s not the Peloton bike by any means, but it does all the same things. I was able to get it set up in about 30 minutes and I’ve been using it for about two weeks, and it’s been great. Keep in mind, this bike uses felt brake pads rather than magnetic resistance, so you can totally adjust the resistance but the bike overall will require more maintenance with brake pads. Some things I love:
-The price
-Easy to assemble
-Does the necessary things with no noise
-The phone or tablet holder
-The customer service
Some things I wish were different:
-I wish I could see how much resistance I’ve put on. Currently, you can feel the resistance, obviously, but there’s no where that tells you the number
-The handlebar is a little loose, but not bad. I’ve already contacted customer service and they’ve been EXTREMELY helpful.
Overall, I recommend this bike for someone starting cycling classes but who doesn’t need the brand name bikes. It was a great option for me and I’m glad I found it.
On a personal note it’s been hard to workout with my other machine because I’m so heavy, but with this one i get a comfortable workout with zero impact to my knees, legs and feet. I love this bike and look forward to exercising !!!
Packaged arrived yesterday, I ordered this bike since gyms closed due to Covid-19 I compared with others that were selling on Amazon and this bike looked better quality.
Bike is very compact and fits in my office space for my 2nd floor apartment. I like the look of the bike as well.
Pro: bike gets the job done as far as cardio in the morning for me and I like I can place my iPad and check emails with ease. Solid built bike doesn’t feel cheap. Easy to setup takes 30 min. Only have to install legs, seat, and handle bar.
Con: upon opening the package some screws and bolts were loose inside and thankfully I was able to find all the missing screws and bolts within the box. I have ridden the bike just a few times and now I am hearing a rattle noise but can’t seem to figure out where it’s coming from. Possibly from the seat.
Overall for the price I say it’s well worth it for the price.
Worked great for two months and I enjoyed every ride I took. A couple weeks ago, it started making an awful squeaking noise. I emailed customer service. They were responsive and sent the parts and tools needed so we could replace the bearings. We got it taken apart but now can’t get the old bearings out. I’ve got a $300+ piece of equipment I can no longer use. Save yourself the disappointment and don’t buy this bike.
Upon purchasing I did extensive research, trying to find a very very quiet indoor bike, one that wouldn’t make any noise as I live in an old second floor apartment complex and my neighbors and land lady are only letting me use my tredmill until someone new moves in downstairs. Well, with every other good bike being sold out, I decided to take my chances with this bike. There weren’t a lot of reviews stating it was very was quiet, but a few did say it worked with a gym matt. I didn’t buy a matt, because I wanted to find out what I would need first before purchasing one (how thick for noise barrier).
After assembling the bike, I tried it out and Oh My GOODNESS. It is SOOOOO quiet!!!!! I am so so so happy with this bike! And it doesn’t vibrate the room it’s in at all!
I am so happy with this purchase. I’ll definitely use it to the max until this stupid COVID scare is over and I can run again at my gym/fitness facility again. Until then? This bike is going to be my pet.
UPDATE 7/6/20*****
I update my review from 1 star to 4 stars. Customer service reached out to us on the issue with the bike. Jane was extremely helpful in trying to resolve the issue. Accompanied with her sending new parts and a little bit of WD-40, we got the noise to go away for the most part. It does still make a slight knocking noise when you raise/lower the resistance, but the bike is still useable. We were given a refund for the trouble and Jane agreed to continue working with us to get the issue resolved. Although the issue with the bike was inconvenient, we’re happy with the customer service we received from Cyclace to make it right.
Overall it’s been well worth the money.
I purchased a Schwinn indoor bike 2 years ago at Dicks Sporting Goods and never fell in love with it. It was nice but was missing something – I wasn’t excited to get on it.
I received this bike recently and I absolutely love it!
I put it together by myself in a short amount of time. Pretty easy. I kept thinking I left a piece off somewhere but it’s an extra brake pad that they include as backup.
I ordered the shimano pedals and shoes to go with the bike and it really is money well spent. If you’re on the fence about ordering those items – go for it because it makes your ride so much more efficient.
I use my iPad and turn on my fav music…the holder is great.
I will say that the little calorie, mileage counter that is included is fairly cheap. I use it for distance only but wear my watch to monitor all else. It is sufficient.
This is a beautiful, sturdy, well made bike. It rides well. I am 5’1 and no issue with fit. Worth every penny.
Love, love, love it.
BUT this bike delivered. It arrived today. It was very easy to assemble. It was extremely sturdy and provided an excellent smooth and silent workout. My first workout was for 25 minutes with my blue tooth headphones and IPad sitting on the holder watching netflix. Nobody knew I was working out. At 6’4″ and 242 lbs, I pushed this bike past what would be reasonable and I am pretty sure I could be much taller and heavier and the bike would still not have any issues delivering. I had been concerned about if the wheel could provide enough smooth resistance. What it provides is extremely sufficient and I doubt I could ever ask for more than is possible. As a bonus, the company included an additional pad for the wheel and one extra of all of the assembly hardware.
If you want to push yourself on an intense cardio workout or just get a good fat burning low impact workout while watching netflix, this is a great deal. You might want to get a heart rate monitor to go with it if you are really serious. Polar has an affordable bluetooth one I swear by. With any smartphone and sub $100, you get a top of the line cardio targeted workout.
I am super happy with the quality of this product.
Bike mostly does the job. Seems sturdy other than handlebars and seat which doesn’t raise high enough for taller individuals and probably requires extra tools to tighten properly respectively.
The seat and the provided tools have some problems. Wasn’t able to sufficiently tighten the seat with the provided tool in box which broke. Thankfully to tighten the seat only needed a 13mm hex socket wrench, but I had to go out and buy one when the tool broke. Without a proper tool I can’t disassemble or reassemble the product, so I had to buy a $40 hex socket wrench kit. With the kit it was much easier to properly tighten the nuts, even better than when the provided tool didn’t break. So keep that in mind, if you don’t have a socket wrench kit you’ll probably have to buy one before you really get to use the bike. Company did give me a $20 refund, which helps pay for the tool kit needed.
Otherwise it works pretty well. The size definitely favors shorter people. At 6’3″ the bike is slightly uncomfortable, mainly the handlebars (at the highest position) will have you stretching your arm full length to reach if not in a forward-leaning position. If you balance upwards the seat might be a little uncomfortable, but your mileage may vary.
The place where you can put a mobile device to watch is also nice. The sensor provides other stats, but it’s nice that it will record how long you’ve been at it, and stop when you stop pedaling. The bike is not very noisy at all in my opinion, so it shouldn’t bother people in the next room.
This is a really great stationary bike and it was easy really to assemble and came with a really detailed instruction, it only took me about 30 minutes to assemble to assemble the entire thing. This stationary bike has a really solid frame, it looks really heavy, but it was surprisingly light to lift, it only took me to lift it. It was great that bike ride really quite, it usually exercise in the morning and don’t want to wake the kids. I really like the display it comes with, it almost needs no power to operate just a few AAA batteries to power the entire stationary bike, no loose wire that you can tip over. The display counts your time, distance, speed, and calories I really liked it. Next, it has a really nice fast acting brakes, perfect when you want to stop in a short amount of time it also doubles as the thing to add resistance to your bikes to add challenges while riding the bike. I really like the customizable this the bike has, you can lift the seat up and down the adjust to your height have backward and forward, also you and adjust the entire handlebar assembly up and down to your preferred height. It really likes working out with this stationary bike hope these are helpful.
