Bought a full set, well I bought the last knife for that last empty slot after I took this pic. The case is very heavy duty and fits all my knives perfectly. Super professional looking, as our guest are in awe when I break this case out. Highest quality and perfect for the storage of my set.
Comes in a beautiful box and silk carrying cover. I don’t use either, as I keep it in my safe.
First and Foremost I am not a professional Chef, but I enjoy cooking and have been building a quality knife set for years. Prior to this roll I had a cheaper knife roll I bought for around $25. It worked to keep the knives together, but didn’t fit all my knives and the pockets were falling apart pretty quickly. I made the decision to upgrade to a better knife roll because I’ve invested in nice knives, it only made sense to invest in a container to keep them protected. The price of Knife rolls varies drastically and it’s clear you get what you pay for based on my $25 purchase. While I’d LOVE to be able to get a $500 roll, it just wasn’t practical for me to spend that much. I ended up going with the Nomad in black and I’m very happy with the purchase. It’s well made with strong heavy duty materials. It looks great and holds all my knives securely. In one of the reviews, I read that the straps were “flimsy”; that is not my experience AT ALL! The holes are kinda small, but they’re easily widened and I imagine they will overtime on their own, but the straps are heavy duty leather that will last for a very very long time. It’s actually so crisp and clean, I look forward to breaking it in overtime as I like the more worn in look and feel of leather. My guess is that it will take a long time to reach that point because the quality of its make. Very happy with my purchase! It’s hard to imagine how a bag 3x it’s cost could be that much of an improvement over this one, but maybe I’ll see one of the vagabond bags one day. For now and the foreseeable future, this knife roll is everything I was looking for.
Very nice and sturdy bag. Knifes stay in their pockets and have a good distance between each other which minimising chances to chip edge on a knife.

Needed a sturdy knife bag to haul my knives back and forth to lake-house camping. Now I am never without my knives. Looks as good as it performs. Also has nice storage for my infrared thermometer and instant read.
The bag is awesome and works as a knife bag should. I work in a professional kitchen so having a strong knife roll to hold all my essentials is important. It’s holds everything I need plus room for gadgets. Even with one of my knives being longer than the bag I put itnin the last slot and it works perfectly. Nice tight roll when closed with everythingnin it. Would highly recommend.

The knife carrier looks better than the online photos. Really has that vintage, traveled the world in style build and look. Great materials, craftsman stitching and protected care for a wide rage of chef knives. Bottomline, it’s worth the money.

I recently bought my fiance one of the Gladiator series knife block sets for both home and work. So, of course, I had to get him a knife roll to go with them. He loves the roll. It’s very nicely made, thick, spacious for his main knives that he takes to work, and the shoulder strap is a nice addition. The leather bits are lovely as well. He loved showing it off at work, and I love that both the knife set and the roll make him happy. He says everything makes his job much easier. It was well worth the purchase.

I eyeballed this for over a year before i bit the bullet and purchased it. I thought, for the price theres no way this knife roll doesnt dissapoint.
It does not. It is thick and sturdy but flexible in all the right places, high quality craftsmenship, fits everything exactly as i wanted it too plus it looks badass. 10/10 love this roll. If it lasts me 5 years, ill buy five more.
Really enjoying this bag so far, the material and craftsmanship on it is top notch. Only thing I would suggest is that they make future models a couple inches taller. I store my 240mm gyuto with blade guard in the bag but when I fold over the cover and roll it up, the cover pokes out a bit. The same issue happens with just my honing rod as well. At the end of the day it’s a minor issue because it seems the knives are still secure in place but it’s still something to consider.
This seems like a very durable, rugged knife roll. I just received it and put my knives in and am happy with the quality. My only issue is in the description it says “Featuring 10 knife pockets that securely hold all of your prized Dalstrong knives up to 15 inches in length” but my Gladiator Series 10″ Butcher Knife does not fit.

I was looking for a durable roll to hold my knives and was a little worried at first to spending this kind of money but boy was I surprised on how professional this company is. The bags are very durable and well made and when you walk into a party everyone will look at you carrying this over your shoulder they will be very impressed. Came in a beautiful box in a Satan holder.

The packaging itself was very durable. I wanted to sneak a peek before giving it to my son Christmas Day but would have messed it up. I actually kept the packaging after all the knives were put in there. The many slots give plenty of room for his knife collection. It was even big enough to fit the bread knife I got him. I can’t imagine him ever replacing it with a new bag. This will last a lifetime.

El estuche es muy bonito es de muy buena calidad pero lo que no me gust es que no todos mis cuchillos caben como por ejemplo el slicer de 12″ no cabe, tal vez es culpa ma de no leer bien las dimensiones del estuche pero de la calidad no hay dudas
I love the style and look of this bag, but if you want to store your Dalstrong ‘Slicing & Carving Knife – 12’ – Omega Series – BD1N-V – Hyper Steel – w/Sheath” knife, it’s not a great fit.
If you have this knife in your collection, you have options like if all you’re knives have sheaths, maybe it won’t bother you that the flap doesn’t cover them and that it protrudes out a little. Or you could have the handle poking out. I prefer they are fully covered and looking neat, even with sheaths. I’ve included photos of how it could look both ways if you have this knife or a one of a similar size.
For this reason, I may end up returning it and either looking for a larger one or make my own.
The Dalstrong ‘Bull Nose Butcher Knife – Shogun Series’ fits perfectly in there.
The sales blurb is ‘hold all of your prized Dalstrong knives up to 15 inches in length.’ The Omega carving knife is 12″, so I expected it to be a better tidy fit in the roll.
This is why it lost a star. It might not bother most, I’m just a picky…. I’m not allowed to swear on here. Apply your own word.
The quality feels great, the zips work flawlessly and without catching. I’ve had cheaper zips in the past where they snag, and that’s annoying!
This Nomad Knife Roll is good, I loved it and it will be last long for years to come.
Love this knife roll bag. Got it in a lovely packaging and I normally leave my knife roll at work,but this one ,I always bring home as I got all my best knives are in it. Only thing is , anything over 25 cm blade wouldn’t fit in.but overall ,I’m really pleased with my knife roll!

Bought for my son, who is a butcher. Just unboxing the bag is a treat, as it comes beautifully boxed & wrapped. It even comes with a dust bag! The bag itself is durable and well made. I gave 4 stars for storage because there was a few knives that did not fit as well but was still able to make it work.

Das einzigste was ich jetzt bemngeln mu, ist dass mein Wetzstahl von 30 cm lnge nicht in die Rolltasche passt. So muss ich meine Messer immer bevor ich sie mitnehme zum schnippeln vorher mit dem Wetzstahl bearbeiten so war das nicht gedacht .
Ich habe beim Kauf bzw. Bestellung auch keine Innenmae der Rolltasche ausfindig machen knnen. Naja die Tasche ist trotzdem wirklich gut !

Beautiful roll, very functional, big enough for professional knives. Only complaint is knives require a plastic tip because after a few uses they’re starting to cut through the interior fabric. Great otherwise.
Man this is a good quality bag. I do BBQ competitions and wanted a nice bag to put my knives in, this bag didn’t disappoint. It is beautiful, durable, fits all of my knives and utensils, and even has compartments for smaller items such as piping tips. I love this bag and couldn’t be more satisfied.
That being said, let’s talk about the product itself. What a majestic arrival this thing made. After removing the outer Amazon packaging I was greeted with a beautiful blue HARD box sealed on all four sides. I opened the box and inside was Dalstrong tissue gently snuggled in with a blue bag. I opened the tissue and strategically placed was a thank you card from Dalstrong on top of a beautiful shiny blue bag which held my knife roll. This type of care and concern shows me that they really go the extra mile to ensure that presentation is great for their product, that it remains undamaged in shipping, and that they love their products as much as I do. No one who doesn’t genuinely care about their product would take all this time to make it look so beautiful.
I opened the bag and withdrew my Nomad knife roll. I’m a small business owner of a BBQ restaurant out here in Chicago, a chef, and a “back to school” culinary student dead set on perfecting his craft. Let me tell you, finding a knife roll of this caliber for this price is unheard of. I would have expected to pay closer to $200 for this. The canvas and leather combination is sturdy yet pliable. The leather straps are perfect. The feel, weight, and design are amazing. I wish I knew about Dalstrong before I spent $2,000 on all my Shun knives… I would have gotten every product they offer! You can bet I will be replacing them with Dalstrong, especially for use in this knife roll.

Just received this knife roll it is awesome but there was some mold on it upon arrival. Small amounts easy to take care of but hopefully no one else orders one and its worse.. I know leather is hard to keep especially if long packed so I understand this. But still. Kinda makes me think my knife roll sat in a warehouse for a year. Butt…. it is really nice once I cleaned it up it seems to be perfect for what I was looking for. Originally I recieved a bag or questionable quality. But I reached out to dalstron and recieved a replacement bag that’s is absolutely everything I wanted it to be .
I needed something that would make transportation of my cherished knives safe and easy, but I also wanted to make sure that they would be well protected. In addition, I wanted whatever I used to look professional, stylish and be made of high quality materials. When I found this knife roll, I knew that I had found exactly what I had been searching for.
The fit and finish of this hard waxed canvas roll is beautifully thought out and well constructed. It has heavy duty sewing throughout that is exceptionally tight with no loose threads or uneven seems. There is a generous amount of high quality leather adorning this bag including the easy to carry handle, the strapping, the pen holder, an inside leather zip pouch and even a large leather zippered compartment complete with business card holder on the back of the roll. This knife roll can be carried either by the comfortable leather handle or by using the cotton webbed shoulder strap. Both detachable and fully adjustable, the shoulder strap stays in place once on your shoulder and is quite comfortable.
Once unrolled there are 10 knife pockets available. Once the knives are placed in these pockets, there is an extra thick canvas sleeve to cover and protect your knives while rolled. The inside zippered leather pocket and pen area keep necessities close at hand. Once rolled, everything stays securely in place and is secured with Dalstrong’s custom fasteners, zippers, & extra strong buckles.
