Excellent just what I needed, love the remote, great hea
Got this up and running in a jiffy.
The telescopic pole takes the head from around 1.6M to nearly 2M height.
And the head is easy to adjust to aim it as desired.
..And it does need to be ‘aimed’ as, unlike some other heaters, this does not heat the air but the surfaces that the infra red waves land on. I much prefer this effect to any ‘blow’ type heater which can also dry the air. I think this makes it more efficient outside as any wind doesn’t ‘blow the heat away’ so to speak.
It’s a bit like having some warm sun on you, even if it isn’t sunny or is night time!
The remote is very handy and simple to use -it simply cycles through the 3 heat settings.
My only gripe is that the mains lead seems very short for such a heater at 1.8M. Definitely hinders placement without the need for an extension cable.
I still award 5 stars for ease of use / value / effectiveness.
Ordered for when we have garden parties and that gets a bit chilly later on. It’s really great you do need to power supply like a plug for the garden unfortunately also you can do need to have it lower than the average size because you don’t feel the heat otherwise but otherwise better than nothing
I wanted this for an outdoor garden room that is used as a gym/office and is freezing cold in the winter.
The heater itself is well made and came well packaged. It is compact in size and easy enough to install. The heat that is produced is fast and effective, it certainly takes the chill off the garden room much more quickly than the small oil filled radiator that is out there.
My only grumble is that the bracket is a bit loose, I think it might have been faulty, as it wouldn’t hold the right angle, but my husband managed to make a fix to ensure that it sits in exactly the right position that we want.
It is good value – I don’t know how well it would hold up in the elements and I can’t comment on that as ours is inside.
The three power levels are a real bonus – put it on full for a fast heat up and then on the lowest setting keeps it nice and warm for long periods of time.
Easy to put together. Stylish, stable, easy to operate and comes with a remote control. Settings all work well and the highest setting can get really really hot! Really ideal for our small secluded garden covered from the wind where it is best to use this. It’s hot in the right places positioned. Any bit of wind takes the heat away unless you are really close. We have only used it briefly to try and we are happy with it and excited to use it on our barbecue nights. It has safety shut-off feature when it tips over and there are also covers readily available to buy to protect it when not in use.
Patio heaters come in all shapes and sizes and can be powered in any number of ways. All with their advantages and disadvantages.
This electrical heater does a really nice job at its price point.
As with all electric heaters the area that it heats is much narrower than say a gas heater but that is not necessarily a disadvantage. With the narrower cone of heating you have much more flexibility with where you place it and how you store it. The heated area provided by this heater I found to be fairly reasonable especially for the price point. It’s not going to keep a group of people toasty in the middle of winter but it will definitely keep everyone warm enough to extend a late summer evening party.
The product itself is easy to assemble and feels sturdy. The base is nice and heavy so you have little fear of it falling over.
This cable is disappointingly short and I had to rely on using an extension which is a bit of a nuisance.
It can be controlled directly on the heater or by a simple to use remote. The remote works fine although doesn’t particularly add much to the product.
The price is really appealing for this product and it more than meets its value propositio
This is a pretty decent patio heater for a reasonable price, also considered it has a remote control.
It has some limitations, but this are shared with any other similar model.
The assembly of the stand is easy enough, and the base is stable, however if there is any chance it might be knocked it is a good idea to attach some ballast to it because the head is fragile and can get extremely hot in use.
The cable is under 2 meters, so an extension might be needed, good enough for 2KW.
The remote control works well enough, even if it is not necessarily better than the usual cord this type of heaters have. Both solutions allow to switch it of without touching the head, which again can get very warm in use.
The heat comes on reasonably fast once switched on and the price is reasonable fro the item.
The main limitation is that the cone is not terribly large, as it is the case for most of these heaters, so it is really mainly useful for one person at close distance. I think the heat intensity essentially decreases by the square cube law, so 8 times lower when doubling the distance.
For this reason, only medium and full power are actually useful in my opinion, and the placement can be tricky because it needs to point right at you and be quite close, so potentially in the way and can feel a bit “looming”.
It is not an equivalent to a gas patio heater which warms 360 degrees around, but it is much cheaper and can be a better solution if the heater needs to be close to fences, walls or plants, becasue, aside of the casing getting warm it will only warm in one direction.
Still, it does make a difference and it is reasonably effective outdoor.
Like all this type of heaters, it cannot be covered right away after switching off, because it will be very warm, so it is a good idea to have somewhere to shelter it in case of sudden rain.
This is quite basic looking but very functional!
Requires simple assembling (there is a useable manual) and mounting on a wall for maximum safety and to get the full benefit of the heat.
The heater is reasonably well made with no sharp or jagged parts. It has 3 heat settings, the 3rd of which is pretty hot!
The heat throw is good – even when not wall mounted – and should enable you to stay outside even in the British winter!
The heater is probably best described as ‘light rain’ proof.
The remote doesn’t seem that essential but works well.
A basic but well priced and functional patio (or even garage or shed) heater.
A good buy.
I have been after one of these for ages and so happy I’ve finally got one for the garden.
For those of us lucky enough to have a garden, when lockdown hit they turned out to be a sanctuary.
I generally spend a lot of time in the garden from spring & all the way until Halloween so I already recognised the importance if I’m honest, but like everyone else I went a bit mad creating a functional room outdoors.
These have been like gold dust for the past two years and hyperinflated to prices which were ridiculous. Finally I’ve got one!!
I haven’t had a chance to wire it into the garden yet as the spur I have that runs outside is for a hotub. There’s no way I could use this on that socket and the hotub due to overloading the circuit when they’re both on.
I will be running a new spur and isolation switch to the seating area I have set up when spring comes but have managed to test it internally for now.
It’s so easy to use, there’s a protectiv sealed power switch on the rear to get you started and then you can either use the buttons on the heater or the remote.
The remote requires two AAA batteries but is super easy to use. You have two buttons, it’s that simple. Mode is essentially on and then the lowest power, hit it again to change to medium or full and then again to go back to low. Then there’s an off button. It’s that easy.
The heat takes around 5 seconds to kick in but it filled my entire kitchen within minutes. I felt like it was summer, I stood around 3m away and could feel the highest as if I was stood directly in front. The lowest was a light warmth and comfortable at 2m. Perfect for overhanging distribution for large seating areas.
It looks stylish and would look great in any garden. For me it matches perfectly how I have my garden. I have pure white walls with black tiled tops and skirts, my hanging baskets are black; wall lights, furniture and BBQ too. Also I have a gazebo set up in summer and my table parasol is black. It’s going to look excellent.
It’s tiny in size but big in power. As mentioned this will be being connected to a new external socket. You will have to do this as the wire is only short but you should do this anyway. It has an IP rating for 24 but you need to be safe afterall.
You also get the wall hinges and the instructions are clear.
Roll on springtime!!
Arrived packaged and presented nicely with a straight forward assembly. Nicely balanced and weighted patio heater for multifunctional use & very effective for its intended purpose with 3 settings for convenience. Seems
Like it will get alot of use with its excellent build quality & its also practical for storage. Happy to recommend all in all for value for money as it emits good heat and stands well with good safety measures
This portable garden patio heater from Devola has been a much-needed accessory for these winter months.
This heater is kept me comfy and cosy while sitting in the garden which was wonderful since we are also in a pandemic and cannot venture out that often.
The heater has a 1.8m cord and the heater is waterproof rated at IP24 – this means that it is protected from water spray from any direction. Good enough for light rain but not in a torrential rainstorm. Either way, it’s probably best to put it away if it starts to rain. Just to be on the safe side.
This heater benefits from having 3 levels of heating as well as being height and angle adjustable. It can also be operated with the supplied remote.
Great patio heater that offers more comfortable outdoor living during the autumn and winter months.
I can not wait to have this out on the decking on the summer nights – It was very quick to assemble, up in minutes and ready to go – I was surprised but how heavy the base weight was but that will ensure its firmly stable and prevent and damage or injuries. It heats up very quickly but a noticeable smell when first turned on, this did wear off after awhile but wasn’t pleasant. I really like that this heater is remote controlled, so much more convenient and saves having to go anywhere near it once its been switched on – the mains wire is very long however as we have outdoor sockets that isnt needed for us so just coiled up. The whole heater is ip24 rated and waterproof however I do advise a cover to prevent any damage to the light head, it can be tilted down but not all the way. With 3 heat settings to choose from this heater will be fantastic for all needs.
I put this on the back wall in a small room at the back of my garage. It was easy enough to install the bracket and then attach the heater. The heater worked well with the remote control which is just as well as I needed a step to reach the fire it. I only needed one element switched on to heat the room to a comfortable temperature. With three bars switched on it was really toastie. It is a heater suitable for outside, but with the way the fuel prices are rising I think I would pile on layers of clothing instead.
Good quality free standing patio heater.
Comes flat packed and is easy enough to assemble.
There are some controls on the side and this one, helpfully, has a remote to cycle on/off and power levels.
It belts out a fair bit of heat and is great under a pergola or canopy etc to be outside when conditions are less than ideal.
It’s a lightweight small size garden patio heater with remote control, coming with the wall mount adapter. Ready to be used. Looks good.
The heater is fitted with a UK 3-pin plug and comes with a manual, a remote control, a mounting bracket and locking screw and four screws and wall plugs for mounting the bracket. The metal grill of the heater has an attractive, matte black finish and overall gives a clean, smart impression.
There is a control panel on the support arm of the heater. First the heater is turned on by a side switch and then the heating elements can be switched from Low to Medium to High. There is a separate button to turn off the heating elements. The remote control unit has two buttons: one to power off, the other to cycle through thr heat modes. The unit needs two AAA batteries which are not included with the heater.
The patio heater heats up quickly and the quartz bar glows heat, one, two or three according to the heat setting. The heater is not a free-standing unit and must be wall mounted. It can be rotated on the wall bracket and the vertical angle of the heater to the support can be adjusted easily and at will. The power flex is 1.8m long so the heater needs to be positioned and mounted adjacent to a power outlet. It is an efficient heater, easy to adjust and with smart good looks.
Good quality heater at a very good price. It was easy to install and provides good levels of heat.
***** Original review *****
The heater works ok, but is obviously a return. The bracket, remote control and three rusty screws were rattling about in the box. Luckily, the heater was secured with the original polystyrene packing, but without the usual plastic bag. Amazingly, no damage was inflicted on the heater in transit so I will not go to the trouble of sending it back.
The heater itself is a bargain at 45.99 for a infrared heater with remote control.
***** UPDATE *****
Just received another and this one is in perfect condition. I was a little concerned considering the problem with the first, as you will see from my first review. This one was perfectly packed and when tested I found it worked OK. I like these heaters because they are slim and shallow for a three tube model. Also, it’s 10 cheaper than the first one.
