I bought this one as I already had a number of DeWalt battery tools so had 5 batteries and it is a tried and tested brand for me.
It performs better than I expected in many respects, I first removed my car’s wheel nuts effortlessly I also used it to wind in a spring compressor with no effort what so ever.
Like many I do question however the quoted max torque value, I just didn’t find it matched that and would think it is no more than around 110-120nm, but for its size it’s brilliant.
I like this dewalt DCF880N-XJ a lot easier to get into small places but not as powerful as the bigger version but powerful enough for me
Compact, powerful and smart looking, only issue is the locking pin makes it impossible to remove sockets without the use of a pin.
Recommend triming down the pin head with a file
Light weight and value for money ideal for the job
Comparing to my previous one xr, this one is so much lighter and it has a good amount of torque for everyday use building wise and car repairs
Other than that, it’s an excellent tool for the price.
I’ve wanted an impact wrench for a while but didn’t want to buy a cheap one. Over the last couple of years, I’ve purchased a number of Dewalt power tools that run on the same XR battery platform so I was able to add this to my tools without the additional expense of a battery.
I’ve just tried this for the first time. I used it on an old trailer that’s been sitting at the side of my house for about ten years. The wheel nuts and studs were very rusty and I didn’t have a lot of confidence in the tool’s ability to remove the nuts. I was wrong. I removed two of the wheel nuts in seconds with no problems.
I’m very pleased with this tool.

marche bien avec batterie 5AH la puissance est suffisante pour travailler mais pour les roues et gros boulons vaut mieux un modele plus puissant, en deuxime trs lgre et pratique
Most nut and bolts below a car are rated well below what this gun can deliver, it is very light weight and short in length in my eyes, let me put it this way it is on the top shelf of my tool box and will be used most days.

Am Anfang hatte ich einen Akku mit 2ah drin..er knnte nicht die Randschrauben von meinem Auto lsen…
Hab von meinem Nachbarn einen 5ah Akku ausgeliehen…mit diesem Akku war es kein Problem die Randschrauben zu lsen…
Mein Fazit…tolle handliche Maschine…fr grere Schrauben ist ein 5ah Akku notwendig,das er die volle Leistung erst erreichen kann..Kauf Empfehlung!
Ich war auf der Suche nach einen Schlagschrauber der Problemlos 8-10mm Schrauben ohne vorbohren ins Holz schraubt. Mit einem 5 Ampere Akku geht das super. Ich bin begeistert wie der Schlagschrauber seine Aufgaben meistert. Klare Kaufempfehlung von mir.
Stabiler und (mit eingesetztem 4Ah Akku) recht schwerer Schlagschrauber. Gut in der Hobbywerkstatt zu gebrauchen fr alle erdenklichen Schraubarbeiten z.B. am Motorrad. Er gengt vom Anzugsdrehmoment fr die meisten M8er Schrauben, auch um sie zu lsen. Fr z.B. Radmuttern fehlt es aber deutlich Kraft.
Durch die Schlagfunkion sehr schonend fr die (Hand)gelenke im Vergleich mit einem “normalen” Akkuschrauber und dabei wesenlich krftiger als ein solcher. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Gert zum bezahlbaren Kurs

Lo mejor es el tamao reducido, las hay mas potentes por este precio pero no las podra haber utilizado en la mitad de mis trabajos.
Utilizo 2 baterias de 5ah no originales y las acabo cargando por aburrimiento, nunca me he quedado sin bateria todava.
Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen, ist bei mir tglich in Benutzung und hat echt Dampf mit dem 4Ah Akku.
Quita tornillos de rueda como si nada.Muy contento con la compra

November 2020 edit: I did indeed pick up this impact’s bigger brother, the DCF899, and it still looks brand new such is the lack of use it’s getting – I reach for this one first, every time. Using the two side by side, this is so much more nimble, lightweight and thus easy to use. I wholeheartedly stand by the assertion below that this is 90% of the impact wrench I’ll ever need. Love it. The only concern (and it’s a very small one) is eventual wear on the brushed motor. The 899 is brushless and noticeably smoother and quieter (relating to the motor) in operation.
Original review: I’m a DIY user for general automotive use and have been very impressed with this, the smaller of the 1/2in drive impacts that DeWalt offers. Have used in anger with a 4ah battery on a range of automotive jobs and it tackled areas I didnt think it would touch e.g. corroded suspension components. For some very stubborn areas I have had to crack the breaker bar out to get it started, but on surprisingly few occasions.
I did intend to buy the larger brother, the 899, and while I still do intend to pick one up (for really tough areas like engine crank/wheel bearings etc), I’m glad I chose this one first as it is compact, easy to handle and covers 90% of the work requirement for car repair/servicing. A great all rounder.

Ein Punkt Abzug da die “angepriesene” Leistung nicht erreicht wird. Der Schlagschrauber bekommt keine normalen PKW Radschrauben die mit einem Anzugsmoment von 100 Nm befestigt wurden aufgedreht (im Test, also keine festgerotteten Schrauben)…. entgegen “Abbildungen” im Werbeprospekt mit LKW Radschrauben…. das ist wohl etwas unrealistisch 🙂 Ansonsten ein wirklich gutes DeWalt Produkt.
Berichtigung und Nachtrag ….. verwendet man den 4Ah Akku klappts auf mit der Leistung! Die 2Ah Akkus die mit den Akkuschraubern sehr gut funktionieren brechen wohl bei der hheren Stromentahme des Schlagschraubers ein und lassen diesen “schwach” aussehen…. daher mit dem 4Ah Akku wieder volle 5 Sterne in jeder Hinsicht! +++++

habe gerade meine Reifen damit gewechselt aber auch Schrauben grerer Lnge ( bisher in Holz bis 200 mm) kein Problem .
Sehr zufrieden. Hab einen 5Ah Akku dran.
Heute am Auto die Dmpfer damit gewechselt.
Ohne Probleme hat er alle Schrauben auf und zu bekommen. Echte Empfehlung das Teil auch wegen der kompakten Gre. Schade ist schon das eine Drehmoment Einstellung fehlt aber das wrde zu Lasten der Grsse gehen. Also muss man abwgen.
