Decent video capture card that we had some difficulty getting working, but now functions quickly and as expected. Four stars.
Upon opening the box I was surprised how small the device was and wasn’t expecting much or for it to work
However I connected it to my Samsung Galaxy Book Windows 10 and it found and installed with no problems.
Next I plugged in my PlayStation 1 Mini and started up Stream Labs OBS software (which is free to use).
I found the device within OBS no problem but it wasn’t showing any video. After going in to the settings of the device within OBS and lowering the resolution a bit hey presto we have video.
I then had no sound so again after going into the audio settings again within OBS software I managed to get the sound coming through my Twitch stream aswell.
After playing a an hour or so of retro PlayStation 1 games the device performed excellently and I had no issues at all.
As another reviewer has said he has had this working on his PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 I feel I will not have any issues hooking up my older consoles once I’ve finished my little gaming room.
My only negative is that the device got quite warm after an hour’s usage but the device was lay on my bed and that’s probably not the best place for it, but again I had no issues with the device even when it did get warm.
Overall this might be small in size but it’s mighty in performance and I can highly recommend this for your capture/streaming requirements.
Thid is absolutely a portable and well designed capture card that gives you all you need to be honest.
After setting it on with my camcorder, I felt so amazed with the quality that came out of the screen of my laptop.
It doesn’t lag, glitch, or slow down the video. Image quality is excellent, very sharp and the colours are vivid without altering the original picture.
Card manages to get smooth 4K at 30fps without problem. Video quality is really good and with OBS Studio you have choice to stream it live or record.
This is absolutely amazing and food quality capture card.
It’s durable, lightweight, and very compact – it barely occupies any space on my desk.
I love how easy it is to use – no need for any special software. I used it to record at 4K so I can edit the footage later (recording lots of gameplay), and it worked like a charm. I’ve also screenshared with it and recorded several presentations. A super versatile device.
My laptop can’t handle constant recording at 60fps, so 30fps is usually my go-to (and I’d recommend it if you’re purchasing your first capture card too).
It doesn’t lag, glitch, or slow down the video. Image quality is excellent, very sharp and the colours are vivid without altering the original picture.
The price for this is superb for 4K (I purchased my previous one at almost double this price). For those who are mainly looking to stream though, 1080p usually does the job and it may not be worth paying extra for 4K – but for those who are recording as well, I’d highly recommend this.

This is made really well with it’s all metal casing and it feels really high quality to hold. All of the ports are on either side of it.
Using this with OBS was really simple overall. Just plugging it in and selecting it on the capture device tab pretty much had me up and running. There is also multiple settings that you can tweak with it.
This is perfect for streamers and content creators looking to capture their gaming and sharing their clips online.
I was I initially surprised at how compact this thing was it fits neatly on my desk and doesn’t get in the way at all. I wished it came with some sticky pads to sit nicely under my desk but that’s something I can buy myself. I have tried this now with a PS5 and a Nintendo switch, and both have had no issues recording my stream. This is 4K 30 frames max but it does do up to 120 if you use 1080p so depending on if you need that speed then you can lower the resolution. You will need a hdmi splitter if your having this linked to your tv and your pc at the same time so bare that in mind when thinking about your setup.
Overall for the price it’s a good sturdy little unit, it does get a little warm but that’s to be expected, I haven’t really stress tested it for hours but if anything dire happens I’ll update this review in the future.
So the description states this is a:-
USB 3.0 HDMI game capture card, full HD 4K 30FPS video to live streaming recorder device, drive-free compatible with Linux/Mac OS/Windows 10/7/XP
I must admit I am not really that technical minded. But I know it works, even tho I had to Google what it actually does. Also how easy it was to do.
* Connect the HD Capture Box to your video source.
* Plug in a USB flash drive or USB hard drive, and press “Record”
* The HD Capture Box can record and saves your recordings in MP4 video format.
You don’t need a external power supply.
We were able to save videos from the old camcorder I found in our attic and now have them saved digitally and able to send to the family. Can’t believe this little thing does such good work.
If I wanted to watch the same time, We used a 4k hdmi splitter.
Also the kids have plugged it into there PlayStation and switch. Turns there games into like mini movies.
So far so good.
But I will update this review if needed.

This device offers a significant upgrade from cheaper 1080p capture devices, and its performance is impressive. I’ve tested it with an HMDI splitter and OBS Studio software for the most part, and it performs very well. The quality of the captured video is very good, and I’ve had no issues with dropped frames or distortion.
The device itself is aluminium, with the unit’s body acting as a heatsink to help cool the unit in operation. The heat generated is noticeable, but not excessive. Setup is very simple, with HDMI input at one end and USB output at the other, and it worked straight out of the box. It feels like a quality product. The current price of 69.99 feels a little on the high side, but it is significantly better than most of the sub-20 units that are available.
I’ve given it 4 stars – it would have been 5 had the price been a little better.
I have just started streaming online and decided to start uploading content straight from my xbox. A lot of other people prefer pc and to be honest its much easier to stream on there but I just love the simplicity of a console.
Streaming from a xbox can be difficult but this device seems to take the stress away. I will say You only get playback of 30 frames per second but at a 4k resolution that isn’t bad for stream viewers and standalone videos.
It enables me to record pretty much anything at a great resolution with great frames per second. The Build quality feels like its built to last, despite its small compact design. It does get warm during usage but that hasn’t interfered with my recording process at all.
This is definitely an entry level device and I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone who streams on a daily basis. This is perfect for those odd occasions and I say that because sometimes you do experience a few laggy moments that you just wouldn’t get from a more expensive device.
This is plug and play and you should see that installation and setup is very simple. The quality of the image is adequately good and I believe that’s the most important thing.
For the price this is quite good. It is a small and compact device but don’t let that put you off. I have some more expensive ones that I bought in the past and this compares well in less than half the price.
This connected my ps4 to my laptop to capture some (not so great) gaming. It can also connect to xbox one and cameras. I imagine most people get this for gaming streaming, and using it for platforms such as Twitch. The quality is HD, quite good and without problems or delays. No Lag! It supports most operating systems, I have Windows but it also supports mac.
A huge plus is the no driver part. You literally plug and play. If like myself you’ve used other game capture cards before that involve installing some software or driver, it can be a real pain. This one will save you the time and energy and it is actually cheaper.
I definitely recommend it for gaming.
simple and easy to set up, i use obs studio through the pc and this works like a charm, bit expensive but worth i
A small can compact USB capture card, it’s simple to get up-and-running on a PC, once you have connected the capture card and plugged the source into it you’ll need to use some sort of capture software. Personally I use SLOBS and OBS for live streaming and game capture but I’d imagine that any of the main softwares would work. The card does 4K but only at 30 FPS which for me I’d rather drop to 1080p and stream at 60 FPS as it’s just a smoother and better viewing experience.
The capture card itself is fairly small, feels solid enough and looks pretty good on top of my PC. Overall it does what it says so no complaints from me.
No errors, no bugs and better than I realistically expected. Very easy to set up and the streaming and recording quality is brilliant. Every time I stream, it does not disappoint. If you want to get into streaming with a simple set up, I will recommend this 100%.
Super easy plug and play capturing card. This one is currently replacing my old one that for some weird reason just stopped working full stop. This full hd 4k is true. The quality it flawless and the sound is crisp and clean. Using OBS obliviously and capturing at 30fps sometimes 24 and the footage looks great. Very good productFollow me on here daily reviews and/or answering questions on the products reviewed
I am still coming to grips with this machine.
Yes, it is plug and play.
But there is quite a bit of technology here.
I will carry on with it though.
Ok, an expensive bit of kit. But lots of functionality.
Decent little video capture device.
I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.
This is a nice design, black metal housing, lightweight and durable. The HDMI port is on one side and the USB port the other. It’s smaller than my current one, which I like. This is roughly 9cm x 4cm x 1cm.
Once you’ve connected your cables, run your obs studio and select your video capture device. There are a couple of settings that need tweaking but these are quick to do and easy enough.
You can set your own record delay time and set your custom resolution type. Dependant on the type of parts you have in your device, like graphics card etc, you can get fantastic video quality with this when recording. Obviously make sure your settings match your output of what the computer can produce.
I do like the ease of using this, my partner said it’s as good as the one we have currently, which was a little cheaper but the size of this one is smaller. Quick to set up and run, easy access to your recordings. I would recommend it. It’s just slightly more than I thought it would be.
This game capture device is really good at what it does, and you can even use it to capture a variety of other media, all you need is a HDMI output and it can capture it.
I have tested it with twitch for streaming and it’s been amazing, up to 4k quality I didn’t have any lag and the quality feedback from viewer the other end was that it was very impressive. I then also tested it capturing from my console into OBS studio and that worked really well, I also then captured from a video playing device and it captured HD quality TV very well.
I have been impressed with its versatility and the box itself is nice and compact, I do think it’s better than some of the cheap 20 capture devices but it still a little pricey at 69.99 currently
In the box you get the capture card itself, a usb 3.0 cable and a HDMI cable. Also a lengthy instruction manual with step by step instructions on getting it working with a variety of operating systems and softwares.
**The description above mentions audio inputs and outputs, they are not present on this model, only on the higher end one.**
This mini capture card is a sleek bit of kit, it’s got a durable fully aluminum casing. The top of the case has a set of LEDs that will indicate active data transfer and also if the unit is receiving power or not. The only missing thing from the case itself is a way to stop it from slipping around a desk, a bit of 3M adhesive for hiding it away behind a monitor or desk would be good or some rubber feet. But I guess you could purchase these and add it on to make it less likely to move around unexpectedly.
Setup is really simple, however if you want to continue to play on your monitor or TV you will need to invest in a 4k hdmi splitter if you run at the max resolution this unit is capable of. A splitter will allow you to run the signal into your computer for OBS to stream or record from there. So to get started just plug the usb3.0 cable into the unit and the PC you will record or stream from. Then plug the hdmi into one of the hdmi splitter outputs and open up OBS or any of the other compatible programs. From there you just need to select the video capture device option and OBS will automatically pick the unit up.There are plenty of tutorials online if you have any problems fine tuning the OBS setup side of things.
I tested it using some 1080p content pumped from my old but reliable PS4 and had no issues whatsoever. The system is essentially lag free if you are watching it before it gets streamed to youtube or twitch etc. So if you really wanted you could play from the OBS preview of the capture which is impressive to be honest. The unit does get warm but this is normal of units like this one in such a small form factor. It uses the aluminum case as a heatsink to keep the internals cool.
I was also able to happily stream some Monster Hunter Rise from my switch to a discord channel using the virtualcam plugin for OBS. This is a versatile little beast of a capture card that can be used for so many different setups it’s actually quite mind-boggling. This is good value at 69.99 with a 5 voucher at the moment, just be ready to buy a HDMI splitter and this will do a great job.
