I have had persistent neck pain for a while & thought I would try this for the price of 3 visits to a physio. On unboxing it looks a strange cumbersome thing but is well built and has a long warranty. First use oh boy this thing really gave the equivalent of a deep heated massage. I repeated over several days/weeks and I’m very pleased to say the muscular pain I was experiencing has now subsided. Before I could hardly turn my neck. Now I have a lot more movement. I intend to use it regularly.

Cordless product makes it very versatile and the different modes helps with lower back pain relief. Would definitely recommend over other inferior products, which I have also tried.

Very accessible to use for all ages my grandma uses it for her back pains after an operation and she loves it , it gets deep into the muscular tissues , I would really recommend if you are having Severe back pains.

I fell over in August and aggravated some old neck and shoulder pain. The local hospital referred me for some physiotherapy, which I felt I desperately needed. I was so happy when the hospital phoned with my appointment, only to find that physios aren’t seeing anybody in person at the moment, because of Covid. My appointment was to be by phone, but I knew I needed some hands-on muscle manipulation. After waking up one morning feeling like I had a trapped nerve in my neck, I knew I had to take action. I phoned local chiropractors, private physiotherapists and osteopaths, but was unable to get an appointment for more than a week. I looked on Amazon and noticed some neck and shoulder massagers for around 40. I was very tempted to buy one of these, but after much deliberating decided against it. I thought one of the cheaper ones probably wouldn’t last for more than a few months, then I’d have to buy again. I was also concerned that the cheaper ones are highly likely to be made in China, and might not have been made to the same level of safety standards. In the end, I decided to go with the Donnerberg one. I almost bought the corded version, but remembered the inconvenience of only being able to use a massager right next to a socket, when I previously had a corded chair massager. The 7 year warranty, and the fact that I had the freedom to use this massager anywhere I liked, was the deciding factor. I was also fortunate that it was Amazon Prime day, so I got an extra discount. The massager arrived the very next day. When unpacking it, you could tell it was a high quality product, using top quality materials. It’s also really well made, and looks built to last. I liked the fact that you could unzip the mesh fabric cover to wash it, plus you got some extra spares. Handy and more hygienic if different people want to use the massager, or you could use one cover for feet and a different cover for neck and back. I started charging it up, and it has a large blue solid light which lights up behind the massaging nodules. This goes out when the unit is fully charged, which takes around 3 hours from flat. Each massage session automatically stops after 15 mins, but a full charge should give you around 80 mins, so I tend to have 2 massages around my neck and shoulders, then one around the lumbar area. Using this machine is like sheer bliss. You can feel all the tension and muscle tightness vanish away. I saw a huge improvement in the range of movement in my neck after only 1 use. I have continued to have a few massages every single day while watching the TV in the evenings, and this has made a massive difference to me. If I could have got an appointment, a massage session locally costs around 40-60 each time. It makes this massager seem quite cheap in comparison when you look at it that way. I could either have 4 or 5 massages in total, or I could have as many massages as I like over the next 7 years for the same cost, and all in the comfort of my own home. The hand straps are easy to direct the massager to exactly where you need it, and it feels almost as good as a professional massage. The vibrating mode is lovely on the lumbar area, and the infrared heat is nice and soothing. I could perhaps do with it slightly hotter, but it is still comfortable, relaxing and soothing. I’m so glad I bought this, every household should have one.

Good Product and well made. materials dont feel cheap and is not to heavy but is powerful enough for what i need but might not be strong enough for body builders. id like the heating function to be warmer but its not to bad. says infared heating though and im not sure about that. i might go for another model to be used as i am on my side in bed. the vibration function is not very strong but its a nice feature. it would be nice if the massager heads were a softer material butjust use a towel on sensative areas. id give it 5 stars if the price was 100 and heating/vibration was stronger. Trust me pay extra for the battery one as being able to move around and use it is good.

Initially tried similar item at a mall which worked miracles with my long-standing pain on my lumbar back. I then went on to buy one other brand which unfortunately retired early. I had no hesitation buying Donnerberg German Cordless Massager knowing that it does heal. It has a guarantee. The handmanship is top quality and it delivers. The charging feature is real plus especially when you can use it anywhere without moving furniture next to the socket. A word of advise. Be patient with the charging. Three full hours and it operates full power for several sessions and days. Very happy and would recommend it for any aching body part!

Bought this to help relieve shoulder and lower back knots and muscle pain. Absolutely love it! It’s pretty powerful so I tend to use it on power level 1 with the heat and vibration on at the same time. It’s so good. It’s quite bulky and heavier than what I expected. But it’s sturdy and robust, which is important. The cordless aspect makes it so versatile so I’m glad I paid the extra money to go cordless. The cost might be higher than other massagers but I feel like I’ve had my money’s worth out of it in the first 3 weeks. It’s been in regular use every day. Highly recommend this product.

I got this massager a month ago and so far I am very happy with it. I got it to relieve my back pain from long hours of office work, which can be quite bad someties. It works great for neck, shoulders and upper back and can feel like a real and firm massage if you find the right spot. Sometimes I need a few attempts to figure out the right position, speed and rotation direction to make the massage effective but if I do it works fantastic. I am not using it much for my lower back or legs and therefore I am not sure if the massager has the same strong effect on those parts. I am also not using the vibration mode as I am not sure what advantage it brings to the massage. Maybe different users think otherwise. The good quality of the product is noticeable, hence the relatively high price, but it feels like it’ll last for many years. Also, the muscle tension this machine can relieve is worth the money. Overall, I am very pleased with the massager and would buy it again.

I have suffered from neck and shoulder pain for many years. My tense muscles have defeated more than one masseuse, and an osteopath is slowly trying to ease them, but because of the coronavirus I am not receiving any treatment at the moment. I decided to buy this massager to use at home, based on good reviews and also the confidence of the manufacturer in giving a 7 year guarantee. The massager arrived the day after ordering and appears very well made.
I have only used it daily for the last 5 days, so it is a bit early to talk about success. Using it on the lowest setting, the first day I couldn’t manage 15 minutes because it seemed quite fierce, and my shoulders were very sore the next day. Each subsequent day I have managed the 15 minute treatment and my muscles are getting less sore. It still hasn’t got to the stage of feeling relaxing, because it has a powerful action and my muscles are very tense, but feels as if it is doing some good. Years of tension are not going to disappear quickly, but I have high hopes of success and just wish I had bought it years ago.

Was a Xmas present for my husband. Decided to go for this & spend more money coz of the fact it can be used without a wire, has a 7 yr gtee, couple exchangeable and washable covers, it looked like a proper quality product, and is recommended by the German olympic sport association.
Well, hubby was impressed. Definitely a great quality product (lovely soft leather) which is versatile, and functioning as is supposed to. Arrived quite quickly too, comes in a box with a handle on it. Unit can be stored also in its own protective bag, instructions are in English, and other languages. Overall delighted with my purchase.

I bought this for my son for Christmas and agonised about whether it was worth the relatively high cost. I need not have worried. Immediately on opening it, I could see that it is of a very high quality. No wonder Donnerberg feel confident in giving it a seven-year warranty. Seven years of daily use equates to just a few pence per massage!
My son suffers from chronic back, neck and shoulder pain and frequent associated headaches. He has been using this daily since Christmas and tells me that he has found it of huge benefit in releasing tension and relieving pain. I decided on this model as I was unsure about where the electricity sockets are in his flat, or where he would most likely want to be sitting while using it. I am so pleased I did: he says that he loves having the cordless facility, so that he can walk around the flat while using it!
All in all, this was an excellent purchase. I might just have to buy one for myself!

I wasn’t sure of what to expect when I ordered this – but my expectations were surpassed. It is an extraordinarily brilliant piece of equipment. Surprised at how good it really is. Neck tension has been greatly reduced and very happy to write a review… which I rarely do unless I am extremely impressed.

I have chronic upper back pain and chair-shaped massagers do not work for me because they cannot reach high enough. Most stop in the middle of the shoulder blades at best. Also, because of the chronic pain my back is quite delicate and chair-shaped massagers are usually too strong for me. Once I went to the swimming pool and received pitying looks. I was puzzled until a woman in the changing room hinted that I was the victim of domestic abuse. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw huge purple streaks where the massage chair had pressed too hard on my back!

None of this with the Donnerberg massager. For one thing, its action really does mimic the feel of a shiatsu massage. it is not just balls rolling up and down. Secondly, you can adjust the strength just by adjusting the pressure on your body with the straps. Thirdly, it is very adaptable: you can massage sore thighs after cycling, for ex. I also have been able to massage my neck even though my cervicals are also very fragile. Finally, the fact that it works on battery makes it even more flexible to use.

I can’t see any cons except the price but it is justified by the quality. Oh yes, I am unimpressed by the vibrating function. I don’t think that it adds much to the massage. But you don’t have to turn it on, so that’s OK. All in all, it is an excellent purchase, much recommended.

I’m very happy with my Donnerberg Neck Shiatsu Massager and Bamboo Memory Foam Pillow. I get cervicogenic headaches due to muscle tension and a compressed nerve in the neck and these products are making a real difference. I can have a realistic neck, shoulder and back massage whenever I want – the infrared heat and speed options are great. My neck and head are more comfortable in bed, which means a better night’s sleep. I am getting fewer bad headaches as a result. The bamboo pillow is also good against allergy / asthma symptoms. I would definitely recommend these products to others – I already have!
