All good so far!
I expect many years of high performance from this tool.
I chose this one over the 4300 because I just felt it might be the better choice. Can’t remember exactly what the reasoning was now, but it was complex!

This is a fantastic bit of kit, the extension makes life so much easier, and with it being as powerful as it is, it has no problems when put to the test,
The only thing I can think that is better than it is a light-sabre.

It’s an excellent tool for every job also you can have good fun picking and all the tool attachments for it.
Nice tool …. why have I waited so long before getting one … used for so many little jobs already
Great piece of kit. Comes with a few accessories. Used it for a few jobs do far and was just as good as expected.
It was a flash sale, almost 50% down.
Arrived at Xmas holidays, sturdy, powerful enough to cut, grind and polish. Tested it thoroughly at about an hour and worked super fine., even with the extension cable.
I would definitely recommend it.

Brilliant little drill set. I have already stripped several vintage oil lamps with this and works a treat. Very low vibration levels even at high speed. Super sturdy and comes with a nice carry bag which is big enough to include all your other bits and bobs. If it doesn’t break within the next few months of heavy usage, then this is a very good product. I would recommend.
The item is good but amazon.uk did a lot of mistakes in the shipping so that it took a very long time to get i
It doesn’t come with proper instructions about buying a chuck needed to attach the accesories !! So you can’t plug and play ! But other than that it’s good
I love this thing. I do have to google/YouTube a lot to figure out what is what and how to attach whatsits & thingamies but that’s just me. I look for any excuse to use it.
Been thinking and mulling over for years. Never quite need it often – weekly basis- but when it’s required, it’s a lifesaver. 4000 is probably the best in corded Dremel. Had it for almost two months, did some work on it, nothing to complain about. It’s working well. Love it.

It’s a Dremel.
It’s well made, it come with some bits and pieces to get you going, what more needs to be said?
Wish I had purchased one of these ages ago would have saved myself a fortune. What can I say amazing little machine, they do everything.
Bought this for the wife and grandkids to do arts and crafts with.
Its battery operated and works great.
Holds the charge in storage and last a good while.
Plenty of starter tools come with it.

For this amount of money you would expect perfect product but unfortunately when you set lower speeds the regulator doesn’t work as expected. The speed is not steady and you can feel strange vibrations.
I still would recommend this rotary tool because of the high power and overall quality.
Thank you for taking time and reading my reviews

Great bit of kit, always gobfor the official Dremmell ancils – other ebay / chinease ones dont last as well.
I bought this as a replacement for my old Dremel 3000, this is the usual Dremmel high quality and well presented.
My only criticism and it is more of Amazon than Dremel is that I ordered a discounted version from Amazon Warehouse advertised as some damaging to packaging but otherwise perfect. No where on the advert did it say the warehouse version is fitted with a European 2 pin plug and not a UK 3 pin plug.
It’s not a big enough issue for me to want to return it but I would have probably paid for a full price model if I’d have known at the time.
an upgrade for me from the 3000, switch broke after 10 years !
variable speed is great, attachment & accessories are great,
bag looks great would have liked it more if it was padded or stiffened,
but….whos stupid idea was it to undo it from the bottom ???
I’ve been meaning to purchase a dremel for some time now and thought I’d make the most of the 25% off offer by amazon. I already knew what I was purchasing because I’ve used a dremel before. I thoroughly recommend buying a dremel
If you are looking heavy duty tools this is for you. Nothing compared to wireless model this is better.
Just the job should have had one years ago very ,,nice peace of kit .Excellent service from the seller, five star delivery…..
I purchased the product when the price was very attractive.
Great product quality, it is a very useful tool and I am satisfied with my purchase. A must tool in every home.
Why didn’t I get one in the first place? After all, they are not that overpriced. It is better and does feel like it is doing the job rather than trying.
Still, I’ve got a load of ‘dremel type’ attachments now to go with it..

Great for little, light weight jobs or awkward to get to jobs.
This is a wonderful piece of kit, I have a smaller type machine already, however it is not a patch on the Dremel, it is a wonderful machine, I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is in the market for such a product.

Great tool works well including uses as a nail technicians nail file. Both me and missus are happy
I have only used the Dremel to cut off nails and screws and it has done that really well. Their website is not particularly helpful in my opinion but lots of YouTube videos are helpful.
Literally had no reason to buy this, always want d one and pretended to the wife she was going to benefit as I was going to do all sorts of D.I.Y jobs for her….sadly so far all I’ve achieved is to cut a deep hole in her new table by total accident. Oh and I tried to use it for a really quick way to get grout out from between the bathroom tiles….on reflection though I should also have brought eye protection and a breathing mask.

One of the best things I’ve ever purchased. I’ve started messing around with crafts and love this for engraving wood. It also comes in handy now and then for DIY. I would say it’s more craft than DIY but it has its uses. One is with the metal cutter wheel that makes cutting of sticking out screws and nails very easy. Also cutting intricate bits in UPVC or wood.
My only criticism is that some of the Dremel accessories aren’t brilliant and are a bit pricey. I tend to look out for the Silverline brand tools as they are good value. One accessory from Dremel I would say is a must is the Dremel 4486 Chuck. If you do buy a Dremel get this as it makes fitting drill bits, cutters etc much easier and quicker.
There is no protection from chips that thrown when cutting
You can get cheaper alternatives, but with a Dremel, you are buying quality and reliability. Thtas exactly what you get with this.
Great tool, handy for so many different things.
Problem is, once you get one, you then want to start spending a fortune on all the different accessories available for it.
Fully recommend.

my black&deck gave up… this was a good deal and so far it works great. A lot more powerful, but bigger too, the main body is probably too big so I use the extension all the time
I bought this unit after purchasing a cheap chinese knock off and the difference is vast. Build quality alone is blatantly obvious. The case is very good and IMO better than the hard plastic case. One thing I would say though is that I would have liked more warning about using the flex drive because if you leave it curled up it will work perfectly but it will heat up very quickly, so be careful. I would also like to see a maintenance guide sent with the kit especially more warning about the flex drive however you will not be disappointed this is a real quality piece of kit.
When drill arrived (on prime) a bit was missing.
Reordered as original faulty but replacement took longer to arrive than if I had ordered another on prime. Why?
Product itself good price and very useful bit of kit!
Great tool for modelmaking, crafting, jewellery making and so many other things. Variable speed works great with dremel own bits and a variety of affordable diamond bits you can buy through Amazon. Already paid for itself 🙂

Works great although it does get worrying hot in use. Minus 1 star for the awful manual, it’s pretty much useless and doesn’t tell you anything apart from obscure pictogrames for multiple models that confuse more than help.
buy the Dremel 2615448632 Keyless Quick Change Multi Tool Chuck 4486 to go with it as it will save you time
Handy tool to have in the workshop
Only time will tell if buying this, the more expensive branded multitool, will pay off, you can get cheaper versions out there but I was worried that I’d buy something underpowered that would break within 5 mins and so went with this one instead. So far so good……….

This is a handyman’s dream. So far I’ve used it to repolish a pewter flask, drill some holes for reinforcing a furniture joint, and sanding down a long, rough edge when I didn’t have sandpaper in the house. If you appreciate getting stuck in and doing work yourself, you should definitely get one of these.
Sick tool. I use it for polishing silver as part of my silversmithing class.
– One tip: GET THE DREMEL MULTICHUCK END PIECE. It’s like 8 and then you can fit any old rotary tool component on the end without faffing with screwdrivers. So cool. You can add drill bits, Busch burrs, polishing mops, the works.
– The motor is good, I’m happy with 5000 rpm mostly, going up towards 10000 for power sanding or drilling. Loses some torque when drilling or pressing hard with a sanding chuck
– Haven’t tried it with the flexshaft yet, because I don’t have a stand. I lie the tool sideways, holding it down with the chuck off the end of the bench and then move the silver against the tip, rather than trying to control the tool in mid-air as it’s a little unwieldy for me. You could also clamp it and do it that way.
Sorry to patronise, but just a safety note:
– WEAR EYE PROTECTION and a MASK – dust will fly. Drill bits may break. Metal in the eye is a life-changing injury.
– Metals being worked on will get HOT
This was a gift, purchased based on my own good experience of a Dremel I’ve had for years. Recipient very pleased with me and now agrees that it has plenty of uses around the house for things that. would have taken ages without i
I bought the Dremel 4000 to replace an old Dremel I bought in 2005. Everything in the box as described and nicely packaged in a useful blue zip-up bag – won’t get lost in my workshop! I bought the Keyless chuck to go with it – now that was an excellent move. No more fiddling with spanners, just hold in the shaft lock and undo the chuck – magic and so useful. Decent set of ‘bits’ included to get started as well. Highly recommended.
Had a 3000 model which broke after reasonably few hours of use. Recently bought the 4000 model (since I had so many accesoories already this was the option that made since instead of switching brands) and the upgrade seems to be worth it. The 4000 model has more power than the 3000 one and the continuous speed dial is useful. I would advise anyone considering to buy the 3000 model to go for the 4000 one instead.
Got my Dremel 4000 through Amazon Warehouse and is almost perfect for my glass engraving needs. I’ve given this review 4 stars rather than 5 because The collet is a bit of a pain if you’re constantly changing bits as I am. Getting a keyless quick change chuck made it perfect.

Just the job, far better than all the other cheap junk. Dont go cordless they don’t last 5 minutes. The only gripe is the price of the bits but they are better than the cheap chinese crappy knockoffs. Go on get one you won’t be disappointed, I wasn’t.
I previously had a cheaper version of this. It did eventually die, but in the years I had it I ended up using it so many times for random unexpected things it easily earns its cost and when it broke I bought this better one. The principle use has been as a mini angle grinder to help with removing stuck screws, but it has also been invaluable for small jobs with routing & sanding.
There are undoubtably cheaper versions available, but given how often this saves you time and effort when things mess up it s ems money well spent.
This is a great little tool and much better than I expected. I must admit that I had always thought of these Dremel Multitools as being a bit of a gimmick and not for ‘serious’ use but having had one for a couple of weeks now I’ve been surprised by how powerful and versatile it is. As an example, the grinding wheel attachment, whilst tiny, is easily able to slice its way through 3mm sheet steel. The sanding discs are effective and the tools are very interchangeable. Really impressed.

Have used it for cutting and engraving although had to buy more engraving bits for what I wanted to do. It comes with a good range of accessories although for a novice the instructions as to what each accessory does and how to attach them could be better hence only four stars. I would definitely recommend this over the cordless version as far more powerful.

Really good quality and useful Dremel that is ideal for small projects such as jewellery making or repairing items.
It comes with a basic set of attachments and a wider range would have been appreciated but they’re widely available individually or in sets.
The biggest drawback is that when using the extension chord for precise works the Dremel itself really needs to be on a stand or hung up to stop it moving about.
Very comfortable to use, nicely balanced. Disappointed that only one collet supplied, hence only four stars, glad I ordered keyless chuck at the same time. Delivered on time and very well packed.
Worst anniversary gift I have given to my wife. She just couldn’t see the huge potential of this magnificent multitool in the kitchen, bathroom or even bedroom. Flexible shaft is really great for those hard to reach places, wiping your ass will never be the same again. Or why not go wild and slice up some potatoes with the diamond cutter, at 35000 rpm it will be a breeze. With switchable tips the only limit is your imagination. I like to imagine that I will sleep in the bedroom again oneday.
Fantastic piece of equipment, easy to use, well balanced and fits in the hand with ease. Good variation in speed to tackle all sorts of jobs. Enough tools and fitments to get you started on most jobs. Worth buying a full set of accessories which would cover every eventuality. Arrived within the time stated well packed.
I am so in love with this tool, I shall never turn back. I have years of experimenting with her, but so far, I have sanded down my wing mirrors on my disability scooter and I am in the process of turning a Cake Table into a 4 Poster bed for a dog !
If you have small hands like I do and want to do detailed work. I would recommend this PUPPY!
This is great. Get’s used almost every day as my good lady is a goldsmith. I have also wired it up to a foot switch (on/off). The switch cost 2.74 and this is what it is. SODIAL(R) AC 250V 10A SPDT NO NC Antislip. If you are thinking of getting a speed control footswitch, be sure that it can handle 5amps at full speed. Many out there for 20 – 30 rate to only 3amps at fully on. Health and safety bit – only wire a foot switch to this device if you know how to safely do this. Anyhoo, the Dremel is awesome. It has replaced an old jewellers pendant drill that cost six times what this one did. This dremel is powerful! Would be very happy to recommend this product.

First one I got was getting hot all time and flex used to come of . Told them a bout it . Gave me a replacement straight away .got it to day tried it with flex . Runs like a dream . A1 to dremel they can have my cash all day long.
Was sceptical of how well this piece of kit would work, as I bought it to deal with rusted nuts on a car rebuild that I am working on.
However, I have to say that the metal cutting discs are very effective at cutting through metal and wear very well. There is a wide range of tools that I have not yet got round to using, but in terms of product quality and ease of use I can highly recommend this piece of ki
Excellent versatile quality multi tool kit which I bought about three weeks ago for a specific model engineering task. The Dremel 4000, with its extensive speed range, has proved to be a very capable tool and the flexible extension shaft has enabled me to work comfortably and accurately in confined areas and to complete the task in hand with no difficulties.
The extensive range of attachments and accessories that are available for this tool and its versatility will mean that it will be used very extensively for many other tasks in the future.
I’ve been using a German made “Power & Craft” dremel copy for years, which I thought was good because I only had a battery powered dremel from WAY back to compare against, but once I got the 4000 I could IMMEDIATELY see and feel the difference.
You’ve only got to feel the device in use to appreciate the difference that the high power/speed motor makes, and the quality of the tool in hand to understand it.
My only gripe is the presentation case as it is not “stackable” with all my other tools, but that aside, I’m absolutely delighted with the 4000.

Although it was supplied with a lot of interchangeable ‘bits’ I was disappointed that ( 1 ) it only had a one-size collet, and ( 2 ) one drill-bit. My old, inexpensive rotary tool was supplied with at least 3 variable size collets allowing me to drill holes from less than 1mm to about 5mm diameter.
Great product, usefull for so many tasks. Especially glad it came with a flexible extension tool for engraving.
Only thing I wasn’t expecting was how loud this is.
When grinding off some steel bolts that had rusted on in a hard to reach location where no other tool could reach. The ear defenders i use with the chain saw weren’t adequate.
I bought my Dremel for woodcarving, and it’s fantastic for doing fine detail work – exactly what I wanted! It’s powerful, with good speed controls, and with the optional multi chuck, it’s easy doing all the bit-changes that I need to do. The tool itself is a bit on the bulky side, but the flexi shaft that comes with this kit has been a great addition for me because it can be held like a pen, which gives really good control. You just need to find somewhere to hang the tool itself, but you can buy a Dremel workstation, or just use a cupboard handle like I do!
I can see myself using this Dremel for lots more than just wood carving – it will be useful for all sorts of small-scale DIY jobs, although it won’t replace the standard-sized power tools, obviously.
There are a couple of little downsides: it’s pretty noisy, produces a lot of very fine wood dust, and because it vibrates quite strongly, using it for long periods of time can be uncomfortable, and leaves me with pins and needles for a day or so. Occasional use is no problem though. Also, I do wish there was an on/off switch on the flexi shaft because if you need to turn the tool off quickly (for example when a bit works loose in the multi-chuck, which happens occasionally, no matter how tight you make it) then you have to fumble for the switch on the tool itself, by which time the bit has usually shot across the room like a bullet – a bit unsafe really, although this might not happen if you don’t go for the multi-chuck option.
All in all, a great tool, despite these small niggles, and I’d definitely recommend it!
My previous rotary tool was a Woolworths one, so I guess I can’t grumble about how long it lasted, but when it exploded in my hand I was glad I was wearing my work gloves. I decided to get the real thing and chose this because it has a good range of accessories with it, the flexible shaft which gives it a whole new range of possibilities, and a soft case which some have criticised, but as someone who travels around with hard plastic tool boxes and metal equipment in the back of the van, having a few things in soft cases helps with packing so that you don’t have so many hard items banging against each other making a noise and damaging them. I use old sheets to pad things but I don’t need to worry with this.
