Using Your Rower Correctly

1. Remember to start off every workout with a 5-10 minute warm up and cool down.

2. Start with a low resistance level to make sure you’re comfortable, then increase resistance as needed.

3. Sit on the seat and secure your feet on the pads.

4. You don’t want to be rowing without shoes on or wearing clothes that are too baggy as the fabric can get caught between the seat and the beam it slides on.

  • For the “catch”, keep the back very straight with arms extended while holding the bar or handles of the rower.
  • For the “drive” phase, push off in a controlled motion, powering through your heels into the pads and straightening your legs. Pull the cable toward your chest, but don’t worry about pulling it all the way in.
  • At the “finish”, your legs are fully extended, shoulders back, and the bar pulled near the upper chest with wrists straight, not curled.
  • On the return or “recovery”, allow your arms to straighten and your knees to bend. The recovery is where your core muscles such as abs and lower back can get a good, safe workout so keep them engaged.

I have only bought this rowing machine a couple of weeks ago. Assembling it was very easy, as for sturdiness i have had no problems as of yet.

I had a problem with the smooth running of the wheels under the seat after about a year of using 3 times a week. Dripex sent replacement parts within a week and the machine is now running smoothly again. Very easy to deal with. Happy with the equipment which is saving me in gym membership fees.

Great looking machine, easy to assemble (even for me) – but I agree with another reviewer on here that the model in the photo must be 5’2″ as I’m 6’1″ (and a bit) and will be returning this item as it’s too small for me – my knees come up to my chin and I cannot fully extend which is a shame but I’ve learnt my lesson now to read reviews first..

Not the most expensive machine out there. Quite the opposite really. But good value for money I think. It was fairly it easy to assemble. It does store upright but has a large footprint even then. The monitor does not fold for storage as stated. It only rotates slightly on an arm. Also, it only has one button, in the centre. The four around the outside are just for show, glued on. The rowing action is good and it is fairly quiet. I find the cradle for the handle too close to me; I hit it every time I come forward on my stroke. The counter is only that, very basic. It only counts up. You cannot set any kind of countdown. It has no audio function. Honestly I think it’s good for the price and if it lasts it will be a bargain.

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersWe have been happy with this product. It is easy to assemble, but having a second person available to help for a couple of sections is worthwhile. The machine is very effective and does the job well. Previous reviewers noted the fact that the computer doesn’t measure distance effectively. This is very true, and a little disappointing. But overall we have been very happy with this machine, and would highly recommend it for home use. We had an issue with a faulty pedal (the plastic cracked around the strap). The firm asked for photo evidence of the fault and responded very quickly with a replacement at no cost. We cannot fault their response, which was extremely politely handled.

Golden Review Award: 114 From Our UsersMy partner put it together, and he said the instructions were very well laid out.

I feel like I’m getting a work out (mainly in the glutes), but only if it’s on the higher settings 11 and over. Not sure if there’s any point to the lower ones.

Easy to maneuver into the corner of the room and stand on its end when not in use. Silent enough to watch TV during the workout. All in all a good piece of kit.

    The only negatives are:
There is a weird wonky bit of rubber that the handle goes into. It doesn’t affect anything, but it’s warped and annoying to look at!

The foot rests are designed for BIG feet. I can’t seem to get a tight enough grip with the straps.

    Feels good

The product arrived on time. Assembly was fairly easy and took approximately 30-35 minutes solo. I have used it daily for around one month. Sturdy, well made, fairly, limited noise and not different from more high-end expensive brands in gyms. Only, regret is not purchasing earlier in the pandemic. Very good at-home workout regardless of weather and provides full-body workout far more effective than running.

Golden Review Award: 80 From Our UsersI was a bit disappointed, as I have only used a professional machine at the Gym, the height from the ground is a lot less which makes it a bit tricky getting on and off, once you are on it’s just the same. So if you are a bit unsteady on your feet, I don’t know if anyone makes a home version that is higher of the ground but it is worth considering.

I managed to put it up within about an hour, an achievement for me as I am not used to assembling goods.
The rower itself works fine, it is VERY quiet.
Like other people, not sure how accurate the display is but I wear a Fitbit and set that instead so it’s no big deal for me.

Golden Review Award: 69 From Our UsersThis is my first rower and I am impressed by its quality and solid build. The machine works silently enough for me to row while my wife works at home and the ability to make it stand vertically is very nice, although the front wheel is a bit big so it will still use some space. The assemble take some time (1-1.5hr) but it is not hard. I did it alone with only the included tools.

The only weak part it’s the monitor/display. As this is my first rower, I am learning by watching “row along” videos on an old Ipad I put on the mobile stand (solid grip there!) and most of them talk about keeping a constant pressure/power but the monitor does not measure it so I can’t keep track of it. Other than that, I am pretty happy with this rower.

Golden Review Award: 94 From Our UsersThis product, once assembled is absolutely fine and fit for purpose and sturdy. However, the assembly of said item is an absolute unnecessary rigmarole. There are so many parts to it which could have easily come assembled – the packaging is huge enough to house these assembled pieces. Trying to assemble this on your own is beyond tricky given how so many of the parts need holding together, whilst you tighten and attach bolts etc. However, do not be fooled into buying the exorbitant assembly fee from Amazon- this is a rip off- just ensure you have someone to assist you. If I can assemble this- anyone can.

Golden Review Award: 97 From Our UsersI am in my late 60’s and have been using indoor rowers for many years, mainly Concept models. Recently moved house as a downsize and couldn’t fit a Concept in, so went for this one, which costs about a third of the price.

To call it “super silent” isn’t quite right. Far less noise than the air resistance type, but the pull mechanism does emit a groaning noise on each stroke.

Don’t be taken in by the picture in the advert. Either the rower pictured is about 4 foot tall, or there has been some creative photoshopping. My pic shows the rower alongside a standard dictionary for comparison. From floor to the top of the cylinder is 22″, with the drum itself being 12″ in diameter.

That said, it provides all I need for exercise purposes, and seems sturdy enough. The resistance settings are fine, though I echo what others have said in terms of the display unit being a bit ordinary.

The again, it is what it is and costs what it costs, so can’t complain too much.

You get what you pay for!

Have had this Rower for about 6 weeks now and first impressions are very good. Machine has a real good quality feel to it and once stowed upright fits in any room without taking up much space. I gave it 4 stars because the info screen is just useless, something dragged out of the 80s, my casio calculator could give me better information than this thing. Get yourself a half decent smart watch anfld you’ll have everything you need.

Not bad for for a home rower. The seat is a bit wobbly from right to left, so we’ll see how long the nylon wheels survive… The monitor is made to look more impressive than it is – it’s rather basic.

Ordered this a while ago and it ended up getting lost on the way. I contacted the seller who where fantastic and sent another one with next day delivery. I have used this a few times and have had no issues and I am far from small weight wise! It is smooth and so silent it’s unreal for the price. If you are looking to start up rowing and are looking for a basic machine this is the one for you. The only issue I have is I’m really short with small feet so I had issues with the foot rests. I now wear bigger chunky shoes and problem solved. It was also pretty easy to put together alone to.

Golden Review Award: 112 From Our UsersFirstly I found the rowing machine easy to assemble but it was a bit fiddly!! The tools that came with it werent very good and the spanner was too wide to fit. So I used my own! Next why can’t there be a few extras for losses of screws and Washers? I lost a few so had to get my own!! The quality of this rower is very good and strong!! The worst part is the stupid monitor which is as much use as a chocolate teapot !! So I cover it with my mobile and use the counter from it! I use the highest setting and have done 35 minutes of rowing 15 times this machine produces results , better than the gym!! But the beauty of having it at home is you can go on it whenever you want!! If you aren’t worried about the monitor I would definitely recommend this!! Great rowing machine shame about the monitor !

Golden Review Award: 133 From Our UsersI want to burn calories but have knee issues so trad floor standing exercises with lunges etc are out of the question. I also don’t have room to keep one set out all the time; plus I don’t have a large budget. So did a fair bit of research and found most folding machines have mixed reviews. This doesn’t fold, but you can tip it up on its end – though beware the box it arrived in said it weighs 27 kilos, so you need to be able to deal with that (though most of it is on the end that stays on the floor). Plus the reviews were good, and even a tech mag gave it a positive review. Ok it’s still a considered purchase, but not as much as most of the home-professional pieces which are prohibitively expensive for anyone except the dedicated enthusiast.
It took me around an hour to put together alone, and some of the parts are really quite weighty, but I take this as a good sign that it’s a sturdy bit of kit.
On the downside the digital unit is pretty useless. It has a calorie counter but given it neither accepts biometrics nor has a pulse monitor it can’t possible know how many I’ve burned. I also ask Alexa to set a timer, which differs from the unit’s timer, so one or both is out. It has a stroke counter, but after almost an hours use (over time!) it’s saying I’ve barely covered 0.5 kilometres (it doesn’t do miles), which I was sceptical about, and has been confirmed by other reviews. So I’ve taken it off.
The ride is smooth and quieter than I expected, and it’s a good size seat. However not having much padding on my backside the contact pressure points get really quite sore after 5 minutes, but I’ve fixed this by using a dense memory foam cushion.
The resistance dial goes from 1 to 15, and being new to this I’ve started on 5 – which even then has a fair bit of resistance: after a few minutes I can certainly feel my heart going bumpety bump!
Finally, I’m 5 11 and I can fully stretch without any issue; plus the footplate is large, wide, with Velcro straps and a ridge to stop the foot slipping out at the bottom; plus it swivels on an axel to accommodate the to and fro movement.
In all I’ve only had it a few weeks so can’t comment on longevity, but I’m glad I’ve bought it. My knees are fine, and I feel like it’s doing me some good. My only gripe is the crappy digital unit – I’d rather they scrapped it and knocked a few s off the price.

The machine is excellent. Very smooth The tension might be a bit light for some.

Very pleased with the rowing machine. Seems very sturdy and had good resistance. Would be 5 stars but the digital computer seems way off. After a 15 min intense workout my distance was showing at 250m, definitely something off here as with a Technogym machine in the gym I could row over 10 times that.

Golden Review Award: 51 From Our UsersA good rowing machine for the money. I am a regular user of mor4e expensive Concept 2 rowing machines at my gym and bought this during lockdown. The good bit – sturdy, smooth operation and offers a good work out. The downside, the assembly instructions could be clearer (poor diagrams etc) but with patience you can work through tat. The display is rubbish – no heart rate monitor (expected) but also no stroke rate and the distance / calorie rates are are frankly bizarre – so if metrics are important to you this could be an issue. But still a good value for money option.

  47. Anonymous says:

Good piece of equipment which is very quiet when used. Only downside I have found so far is the footrests take a little getting used to as felt a little bit uncomfortable, but that is me being super critical. Also the accuracy of the distance recorder on the monitor is dubious.
However overall very please with the rower.

Golden Review Award: 63 From Our UsersAssembly took 2.5 hours but the instructions were very clear and easy to follow with everything being present, including all necessary tools.
Using it for the past 2 months, I am impressed with its sturdiness, and challenging resistance levels- I use mine on level 10 , which I find similar to level 8 on the concept 2 rower I normally use at the gym ( which is overall better than the dripex but costs 3-4 times the money).
It is fairly easy to manoeuvre around.
The display is ok- the time measurement seems to be inexact- the machine display says 16 minutes, whilst my phone timer says 18 minutes.
Overall, good value for money. All I need is for it to make me younger……

Golden Review Award: 101 From Our UsersOverall, pretty happy with my purchase as someone who’s a bit of a gym-phobe but realised I need to get more exercise in rather than just going for lots of lovely *local* walks. It was delivered on time, well packaged. My hubby was able to put the machine together by himself – took him about 40 minutes. I would say this is definitely more suited to someone who wants to do a bit of basic fitness rather than for someone who regularly uses an actual gym – I think they would feel a bit short-changed with this kit but for home use, I’m definitely pleased with it. It’s not perfect so possibly slightly overpriced but it’s meeting my needs so far. Tension on the wheel seems good enough for me to feel like I’ve worked my arms and shoulders. Possibly wouldn’t suit someone who’s over 6 ft as I’m only 5.3 and at full extension, my seat is not far off the end of the shaft. Timer seems accurate and gives you a row count and calorie count. The “distance” gauge doesn’t seem right to me but then unless you’re a competitive rower this probably shouldn’t bother you – just see if you can improve your row count/time ratio to gauge any improvement should you wish. Stands up-right easily for storage.

The only gripe I have and would live some advice as our is the foot pedals. I find that they become loose far too easily and the Velcro strap isn’t enough to support your feet in the pedals. Golden Review Award: 99 From Our UsersI use it for general fitness ( 70 yrs old ) following prolonged illness . Machine seems sturdy enough , only been using for 6 weeks so time will tell . Assembly is straightforward but a small crosspoint screwdriver and metric spanners or socket set does make things easier as tools supplied are ok but not outstanding .
Actual machine seems good , levels of resistance easy to adjust , good length of stroke ( 5 ft 9 ” tall ) but longer legged people might find it a bit tight for length . Electronics not so good , very inaccurate on distance and time readings , but for the lower end of the market to be expected . Overall value for price paid 8 out of 10 because of poor electronics .

Golden Review Award: 130 From Our UsersHad this for about a month and a half now; assembly took a bit but was straight forward enough, always easier if you have real tools. The resistance is great for my wife who’s super athletic but relatively small, she uses it at level 10. For me 6 ft 4 and 15 stone I use it at level 15 and it’s a good workout, more importantly I can fully extend my legs.

Unit is very quiet and sturdy, loses a star because the computer is wildly inaccurate; timer is off by 5 minutes minimum for a 30 min session. We checked the strokes and it’s off by a good 10% too. Great if you want to exercise and feel better, not so good if your tracking everything.

Please be aware you have to put the whole unit up on end if you want to reduce it’s footprint on the floor. A bit of a faff but I think it makes it sturdier so it’s a net nuetral there.

I am very impressed with this machine so far.

And as the Concept is selling at around 1,000. with often a waiting list, this machine at the price is a suitable substituent for a Concept. Came very quickly, and had a pleasurable time putting it together.

The Monitor is also is impressive with large numbers and easy to go through each mode quickly.
Well made and sturdy, and a smooth action on the stroke.

The machine comes with easy to understand assembly instructions. It is overall sturdy and for the price versus 1,000 upwards is good value for money. The monitor is a bit flimsy but for amateur home use this is a good bit of kit. It also does not take up much space when rested vertically.

The rower gives a good work and haven’t used it on the highest setting.
The description given states suites all ages, therefore assumed the shoe size would be adjustable like at gymes, this is not the case the shoe fitment is large and for smaller shoe sizes the velcro wraps around the tip of shoe, I over came this by buying small cargo straps and strapping my feet around the foot plates. This anchored my feet and rowed without hindrance. The straps I got off the internet and a box of 6 cost just under 10.00, Well worth it. Being short I found it easy to lift and wheel to store.

Golden Review Award: 167 From Our UsersI’ve been (slowly) building a home gym, during the various lockdowns, and the final piece of the puzzle was a rowing machine. I rowed a bit, at University, and know what a good workout it is – and also low-impact on joints, which is important to me after a bike accident last year. I didn’t want to (or had the money) for the daddy of them all, but I have some other Dripex kit in my gym and I have been impressed with the build quality and the usefulness of the machines – so they were the first place I looked, and ordered from. As with all Dripex equipment, it arrived very well-packaged and protected and everything was in perfect condition. It was simple and easy to put together, and I have been amazed by how quiet it is – as you’ll (not) hear in my video. The seat is comfortable and slides back/forward smoothly. The footrests are big enough for my huge feet and trainers, and the velcro straps grip well. Lots of (16) levels you can adjust the resistance to, and the large LCD display is clear to read when you’re working out. The unit can be stored upright (pictured) when not using, if needed for space. This is another bit of excellent Dripex kit, and helping me keep my body and mind in shape during the lockdown.

An excellent piece of home gym equipme

Being a healthy and fit guy already, i was looking for a sturdy rowing machine which offered a good level of resistance. This machine pretty much fits the bill. The resistance goes up to 15 but a workout at 8- 9 will finish any fit person off. The display is basic but this is what you would expect in this price band. My only slight gripe is that the bar could do with being wider by an inch or two.

Golden Review Award: 116 From Our UsersFirst off probably the best assembly instructions for anything ive ever bought. So far ive had one row on it, and ive only used concept2 rowers before so thats my only comparison. i found that as you bring the bars to the machine there isnt enough space to get really forward so i cant really get a full forward motion in. So it feels like im doing 1/2 the range of motion i would on a pro machine. Im 5’10, so i would probably recommend this for shorter people. in terms of sturdiness and resistance, its ok, its very even. It didnt get my heart over 90 in 20 mins of rowing, so i need to workout how to get a harder workout on this. Its a tough one as i didnt want to spend 1k on a machine but i need some indoor cardio thats not a bike. I would be tempted to say delay purchase and save up for a concept 2 or water rower, i may well save up and get one myself. It does pack away in the corner quite nicely and is quite small standing up, so its a decent machine, and solidly made, reasonable value, easy to assemble.

Golden Review Award: 58 From Our UsersThe central display cycles through Stroke Count, Distance, Time, Total Stroke Count and Calories Burned. Distance is shown only in kilometres and there is no facility to measure stroke rate. It is a very quiet machine and, whilst I miss the complete display of the machines at my local sports centre, it is a useful piece of kit whilst I am confined to home. Its weight feels less than half that of the gym machines so ii can easily be folded away. The price of the Dripex is about a quarter of the gym machines so I consider it very good value.

Golden Review Award: 86 From Our UsersBrought to do some exercise for all the family. Husband put together with no issues. Very sturdy as husband a lot bigger that me! Doesn’t take up much room. Have used daily for the last couple of weeks. Ok to use for little feet, I’m a size 4 just put on trainers and there’s no problem, my 9& 10 yr olds also use it. Very quiet so can watch telly while using it. Very happy and would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI purchased both this machine and a dripex cross trainer – fed up vegging during lockdown. The cross trainer leaves a lot to be desired but I have to say the rowing machine is not bad at all. Seems very close to that which you find in the gym. I am not the fittest guy in the world but am getting a good workout on the easier resistances. Feels very smooth. Was easy to setup

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have had this rower for a week now and it has proved to be an excellent purchase. The building was quite easy and although the instructions may not be crystal clear it was still a doodle to put together.
The actual rower is really well made, sturdy and surprisingly quiet, and I started on halfway at 7 of the 15 resistence level and was soon down to 5 as this has excellent resistence and tested me more than I thought it would and I consider myself to be in above average shape.

I must give credit to the seller Verity Smith43ED who managed to change my address before it was despatched at short notice (thanks amazon for that!)

I originally wanted to buy the Concept 2 rowing machine but there was such a long wait for delivery I decided to take a chance on this Dripex. I’m so glad I did! Although it hasn’t got as many features on the computer, I love the machine and can highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 63 From Our UsersEasy to assemble. And so far appears sturdy. Not sure the display works properly as it said I rowed 0.7 km in 600 odd strokes on tension 8. Bit annoying so may need a new one. Will check this as I use it more (first time today). All in all not bad value.

Update 8/2/2021…. Display definitely up the creek. Have contacted the seller. Still like the equipment but the display HAS to work properly or its demoralising!!

Update 21/2/2021….. NO RESPONSE from seller at all, and no replacement display unit. Starting to get concerned now !!

Update March 2021….. The seller sent a replacement display, which works better than the original one. Not convinced it works completely right as the clock is out of sync with other timepieces, but at least the strokes and distance rowed works correctly.

Golden Review Award: 141 From Our UsersThis is a well made, sturdy rower. The parts are strong and well manufactured – thick gauge steel, no burrs on the edges, holes line up, etc. I found assembly easy, but I’m used to building things – it could be off putting if you don’t do this kind of thing. The instructions are clear enough, but there are a couple of tricky stages – e.g. at one point the rear support bracket and the main slide have to be connected via 4 tapped holes, which need to be aligned and fixed with 4 screws, each of which has two washers. The diagram implies that the screws should be fixed from underneath, which requires three hands, or a high degree of dexterity. The solution of course is to turn the rower on its side during this part of the assembly. Once assembled the rower is comfortable, smooth and silent with a good range of resistances. It falls down with the digital readout, which is a joke. Firstly, there appear to be 5 buttons, but 4 are fake and only the centre button is active. Secondly, the readouts are hopeless. Distance bears no relation to how a boat glides through water – it is simply how far the rope has been pulled – you can pull for several minutes and travel about 20m. I have no idea how the calorie calculation can mean anything? But most alarming is the fact that the clock isn’t accurate! With my son we did 2 minutes repetition’s and compared the time on his iphone to the clock on the rower – the rower was about 10% out reading 2mins 12 for 2 mins on the phone. At least it is ‘over’ rather than ‘under’ so you do more than you think not less, but it’s inexcusable that a digital clock should be 10% out. Just ignore it and use your own timer – shame…

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a very good rowing machine. Does the job. No issues with the bike. I like it has a little tray phone holder for when you work out and watch something on Netflix. Good investment esp during lockdown. Only issue i had was the delivery, it came few days late but the seller compensated for it, which was very kind.

Golden Review Award: 138 From Our UsersThis rower arrived promptly before I expected it. It was simple enough to assemble and took me about 30-40 mins. It’s very sturdy and when I use it doesn’t seem to flex or wobble about on the floor. On the downside, those used to the concept 2 rowers in the gym will find the stroke length pretty short in comparison but that’s reflected in the machines overall size. The display is pretty useless apart from the timer. The other functions don’t seem to ready correctly or match my Fitbit in terms of calories and after 30 mins it reads that I’ve only covered 600m unless the decimal point is in the wrong place! The resistance goes fairly high and I keep it on about 10 of 15 whereas on a concept 2 I leave it at 10 of 10 all the time. Overall it’s good value for money next to the more expensive machines and it will certainly serve for home based cardio workouts

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDelighted with the product and seller – It arrived early, packaged extremely well and was very easy to assemble – within an hour of arrival it was ready for use.
Use is very professional, build is very high standard and ergonomics are very good – an excellent piece of equipment and superior to others in its price range. Highly recommended

Bought mine in October ’20 so 3 months usage. A well designed and engineered m/c. . Best one I’ve used anyhow. Low whisper noise. Good range adjustment, smooth seat travel. I recommend it to all .

Good resistance. Quite. Easy to put together. Arrived earlier than predicted. Pully position could be better. Needs a bit of space even folded.

Golden Review Award: 100 From Our UsersCame very well packed with nothing missing. Fairly easy to assemble, although some of the bolts and washers, which are sealed on a card, are not in the immediately obvious grouping. You have to sort them out carefully whilst assembling. Some have bent washers which fit snugly around tubes. Otherwise straightforward. Feels sturdy in use even though I have it on a carpet which is not ideal. Everything easy to operate, although the display is a bit rudimentary but quite adequate for most I would think.

Golden Review Award: 91 From Our UsersI bought this equipment as I needed an indoor exercise machine that is within reach and easy to setup and put away when not in use. So far I am enjoying it. I knew what I was getting for the price. It gives me the workout I need. The only issue is that the length of the beam that enables you to row backwards and forwards might not be long enough for someone who >6ft.

My machine came with a noticeable bend, which was clearly a result of manufacturing error. This was disappointing, but I contact Dripex directly by email and they were very swift to apologise and issue a full refund to me. Because of the high quality of customer service I feel I can still recommend this company.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe ordered this rowing machine on Sunday evening with delivery expected between the following Wednesday and Friday – it was actually delivered on the Tuesday. It is easy to assemble and took no more than an hour. The only issue we had was that we were one wave washer short and so my husband had to make one. It is a quality product, easy to use, and when not in use it can be stored upright so it does not take up much room. Excellent.

We’ve had our machine for about three weeks now and so far it has exceeded expectation. It arrived promptly and was easy to put together. We looked at far more expensive machines, Concept 2 and Nordic Tracks but being rowing novices and wanting to keep fit we opted for the Dripex. It’s quiet with plenty of resistance and whilst it might not suit Olympic rowers it’s ideal for a home gym. It’s certainly keeping us fit.

Golden Review Award: 147 From Our UsersI’ll echo the other reviews here, with the caveat I’ve only put a couple of hours in since it arrived about a week ago.
It is very solid, the metal parts are heavy duty and the welds are really good – there’s very little play or wobble in anything.
The resistance can go as high as most normal humans would want it to! Level 15 will certainly get you burning.
It is very quite and the action is smooth.
It’s absolutely fine for me at around 6’2″ and I’d say you’d be fine at even taller, I don’t feel like I’m at the comfort limit.

I was a bit hesitant to get a magnetic rower as I was really after air resistance – but I have to say I don’t regret the purchase at all. It’s on the hefty size and things like the screen housing are way bigger than needed but overall this is a quality and rugged machine at the right price.

Golden Review Award: 166 From Our UsersBasic operation and fine for essential exercise routines. Seat travel is near silent, and the only sound is from the tension ribbon as you pull through each stroke. A good range of 15 tension levels, allowing for warm up all the way to HIT (15) level at the top. Probably a good idea to position in front of a window with long view, or a flat screen TV to have something to look at while exercising.

Edit – after a couple of days with this rower, my impressions have improved – its straight forward to use and the range of movement work well for someone who is 185cm in height. Gains a 5 star rating.
