Dry:Soon Deluxe 3-Tier Heated Clothes Aire

Sometimes the weather just won’t play ball on laundry day and lots of modern households don’t have the space for an outdoor clothes dryer or washing line. But with one of our Dry:Soon Deluxe Heated Airers on standby, if you do have to dry your laundry indoors it no longer needs to take all day nor take over your house.

Like our 3-Tier standard model, this 3-Tier Deluxe Heated Airer offers 21m of drying space, holding 15kg of laundry, on a light aluminium frame and will get all your laundry dry much more quickly than an unheated airer. It also costs less than 6p an hour to run, and has a handy timer feature so you can run it for exactly as long as you want and gently-heated bars that won’t harm your delicates. You don’t have to run your tumble dryer and risk putting your favourite clothes through the mill to get them dry. And putting your electric clothes airer away is easy, too, as it folds down to just 8cm wide for storage.

We could say all this for our standard airers, but we brought in a few additional features for the Deluxe range, in response to customer feedback on the original models. These include a control panel at eye level, rather than ground level, for easier use, as well as a set of detachable castors (sold separately) if you want to move your airer around for loading or unloading or just to get it out of the way in a hurry. For storing your airer, we added clips to hold the folded airer together and a neat clip-on container for the plug to stow away into.

Accessories available separately include: 3-Tier Deluxe Heated Airer Cover to keep the heat in and speed up drying, which also doubles as a storage bag for the folded airer; and the Deluxe Mesh Shelf Duo, a pair of mesh shelves for laying delicate and smaller items flat rather than hanging them over the bars.

About Dry:Soon Heated Airers

When we introduced our first heated airer in 2008 we knew it was a winner but we weren’t prepared for just how quickly it would race to the top of the best sellers list or how long it would stay there. Since then we’ve not only developed our Standard range but also introduced a Deluxe range, too, and a selection of handy accessories, in response to customer suggestions, to make them the best airers ever.

Economical

Our airers cost just pennies to run*. They’re also much kinder to clothes than tumble drying and neater and more efficient than laying laundry over your radiators.

Versatile

Not only do we offer a choice of designs and sizes, each version also benefits from folding shelves that can be positioned to suit your needs: you can dry T-shirts, socks or larger items over the rungs; lay delicate clothes flat to avoid stretching, or hang sheets and big towels over the top without them touching the floor.

Convenient

Made from light yet robust aluminium, Dry:Soon airers are easy to move around and fold down to 9cm or less deep for storage, ready to be pressed into action throughout the winter months, or whenever the weather isn’t cooperating.

Fully open 70 x 74 x 132.5cm H. Folds to 8cm deep. Flex length 135cm. 300W

*Exact cost per hour dependent on domestic electricity prices at time of use.

This clothes airer is exactly what we needed to dry clothes without needing to pump the heating through our whole house all day. We hang our laundry to dry overnight, and set this to auto switch off after ten hours – perfectly dry clothes ready to put away in the morning. No more musty smells, or wet clothes hanging for days. Two slight downsides – the plug cable is quite short, so we have had to use an extension cable. The rungs at the bottom are quite delicate so don’t step on them. Definitely worth the money if you live in the UK and have lots of laundry – this can hang 1.5-2 7kg loads of washing quite happily. Things like t shirts and socks/undies take one rung each, but hoodies/dresses may take one or two to dry well overnight – depends on each wash.

This airer certainly holds a lot of washing. It doesn’t get too hot, for safety reasons I suppose. It’s warm but you can touch the bars without getting burned. It also has a timer, so you can set it to switch on and off. I don’t personally think it dries things much quicker than a conventional airer but it’s handy and doubles as a room heater. Saves putting the heating on and very cost effective. I think it only costs between 6 and 9p per hour to run. Happy with it.

So glad I got the heated airer. I fit a load of laundry on this rack and can dry it within 3-8 hours depending on the items.

Great heated airer, good at drying clothes especially during winter time when it’s too cold and wet to hang outside! Lead is slightly short so we use an extension lead but not a big issue. Cover is also useful as an extra.

Purchased this as my washing just wasn’t drying – even with the central heating on. Purchased this as read some good reviews and it lived up to expectations. Definitely worth the money

This is plug and play. Take it out of the box and unfold plug in and ready to go.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI initially gave this airer 2 stars and wrote a pretty scathing review. But after living with it for a couple of weeks I have to come back and change my review.

At first I didn’t think it was drying my clothes much faster so I washed 2 loads of clothes and put one load on a standard airer and another load on the Drysoon – left overnight on an October night the clothes on the standard airer were still damp to the touch and actually took a full 36 hours before they were dry. The clothes on the Drysoon were dry within around 18 hours – this could have been quicker had I moved them around a little. So half the time and it also heated up the bedroom that we have our hamster in, eliminating the need to have the heating on so she doesn’t get cold – bonus!

I can’t give 5 stars simply due to the terrible cable design; it’s way too short. Plus it is very flimsy!

My drysoon has been on for almost 5 years now and still going strong
My set up has the tent and I use a dehumidifier inside the tent to remove moisture
If this breaks today I would replace in a heart bea

Best purchase to get for a home, no more clothes laying everywhere to dry. Get this if you have a family. It will save you time . I got it with the cover and I love it. Makes the place look even neater as your drying your clothes. I should have gotten this from the get go. You won’t regret it though it looks pricey. But the freedom and efficiency it gives you is well worth every penny.
