Electronic control panelDC18 has an electronic control panel with intelligent display and touch button technology. Set the required level via the Humidity Display and benefit from other Self Diagnosis indicators such as Clean Me filter indicators. Condensation
Condensation is formed when warm moist air hits cold surfaces (windows, mirrors, walls, etc). Moisture in the air can also be caused by daily routines like cooking, showering, drying clothes indoor, even opening windows on a hot humid day, rainy day and when snow melts. Condensation can be reduced by using a dehumidifier to reduce the water content in the air (moisture).
Heavy condensation can cause damage to door and window frames, can increase humidity level causing air borne bacteria and discomfort.

Got this product as I have a 2 bed ground floor flat. I have set it to run in the night time and it does a great job of filling up overnight. I think I probably should have gotten something bigger. But it’s easy to move around the house because of how small and neat it is. Love it so might buy another for the other side of the house.
We purchased the Ecoair DC12 back in 2015 and it has been a life changer. It dries two racks of wet clothing overnight in a spare room with the doors/windows shut, by morning the clothes are dry with a near full tank.
As I write this the DC12 is still working and is in weekly use, a very well made item and with some gentle maintenance should last a lot longer.
I would recommend that owners check not only the dust filter but also the metal radiator fins behind the filter, mine was clogged with fluff and stopping airflow. You may be able to get a small hoover attachment in-between or like I did take the plastic fascia off:
1) Turn the unit off
2) Take a crosshead screwdriver and remove the rear screws (iirc 4-6 screws)
3) The fascia will pull away and you can then either brush or gentle hoover the fluff out from in-between the grills
I did this 2 years ago and the performance increase obviously was much improved.
Only downsides for me would be the noise as it does drone and always has, fan noise is fine but the “brrr brrr brrr” is painful but for me it’s 9/10 for the product well done Ecoair.
Bought Novemeber 2016 and is still going strong. Used in a four bed house during the autumn and winter months and was used throughout the year to help dry clothes until this year (2021) when we got a tumble dryer.
Leaving this review now as we are looking to buy another so we can run one upstairs and one downstairs. The house houses 6 people between three floors and we suffer at this time of year with condensation.
I’d love the unit to be a little quieter and less heavy when needing to be carried upstairs but other than that it’s a great unit.
Bought this to control humidity in a reptile room and it has been absolutely faultless. Never expected it to last this long especially considering it is always in use.
It would need to be in a very hot and wet room to fill it’s tank in a single day.
It does what it says and gets rid of moisture works well and pretty pleased with it.
Bought this dehumidifier for a damp cold room. It has been running 24/7 for 3 weeks now and the room is now a lot warmer and damp free.
The unit is quiet and efficient, I would recommend this purchase to anyone who has damp issues.
Also excellent for drying washing hung in the room.

Very efficient dehumidifier, dries of washing very quickly.
Great size, easy to store and very manoeuvreable.
I moved into a small old cottage with limited place to dry laundry and no gas central heating. The cottage is cold but this dehumidifier is perfect for drying laundry and taking the damp out of the air and therefore raising the temperature in the cottage. I use it overnight on economy 7 and in the morning the clothes are dry and the downstairs warm. It does the exact job I needed it to and I’m pleased.
Fantastic machine! It isn’t silent but the humming noise is bearable. We use that whenever we are drying clothes in the house, and bedding has dried completely within a fee hours. It has cleared up our damp issue I the bedroom too, so we don’t need to have it on everyday anymore. Highly recommend!
I had a smaller version (12 litre) so was confident that’d this one would work well and it has. You can definitely see the difference in the water extracted.

Really recommend this de-humidifier. It has helped us out enormously with damp due to flat roof leaking and finlock guttering problems. No more black mold problems.
This machine is excellent. I have 2 of these now 1 upstairs 1 downstairs moved from room to room ever now and then. They keep every room moisture and mold free. I would highly recommend and would not hesitate to replace should one fail. Not too noisy, energy efficient and do a fantastic job.

This has done a great job. its still doing a great job after three years.
After some years using it, we are very happy with it. It looks great, is not too noisy and dehumidifies a lot of water helping a lot with both damp and wet clothes.
Is quite easy to move, not to heavy and small (enough to place it even on the stairs) – my only criticism would be the lead cable length, but still longer than most other appliances.
If you are looking for a dehumidifier, this is a great choice (unless they have a newer/better version)
Have been using this dehumidifier daily in my bathroom for the past two years to prevent mold growth. It works great and does the job brilliantly. Easy to move around and easy to empty the water container. I would happily give it five stars, however the touch pannel (used to turn the machine on/off) developed a cosmetic fault – transparent film covering the surface of the panel separated from the base and now looks and feels like a loose piece of cellophane. The buttons and the device still work, but the look is affected
It’s really good and easy to move, it makes a great difference anywhere in your home. Wish I had bought one sooner.
Lasted about 3 years so far but has recently started growing mould and rusting around the radiator where moisture builds up.
Hopefully a good clean will take care of the awful smell.
Easy to set desired humidity level. I like that it can be set to run for 2 or 4 hours: so I can put it on and go to bed but I know it’s not going to run all night. Two days after we got it, I was carrying it through a doorway and the cord caught on the doorhandle. Dehumidifier hit the ground with a bang (as did my stomach) but to my surprise nothing internal was in the slightest loose, none of the external panels cracked, nothing wrong at all. So that’s impressive.
Good to have a humidity display. Seems to lower the humidity level pretty quickly in a room 15×10 feet. You can definitely hear it, it’s not quiet. Ample reservoir capacity and amazing to see how much water is collected.
What a fantastic machine my house was damp and I had unfortunately lost clothes and shoes to mould. I purchased this machine and was shocked at how much water it collected on a daily basis.
Well after a few weeks the difference to the air in the house was amazing. I use it when I have to hang damp laundry in the house and it’s dry overnight.
This is an amazing product and would recommend it to anyone.
We have a minor damp ingress in our cellar. The buttons on the top of the unit are largely self explanatory, but the instructions are worth reading (and are easy to do so), just so that you understand how it operates and what you can expect. Sadly I cannot make use of the permanent drain away option (being down in the cellar) so have to empty the easily removable container whenever it’s full, which at present is still about once or twice a day. We have been incredibly impressed at the amount of water this machine continues to extract from the air throughout the day/night. The display tells you what the relative humidity is whenever it is operating. The two fan settings allow you to adjust the extraction rate and the noise level (which is reasonably quiet). All in all an excellent little unit and would strongly recommend it.
Bought on 11/2015 it last till 03/2020. I have just bought the same one again! Amazing machine 5 years of glorious dehumidification on my house! Every day on! Thanks Dc12 you have been amazing and now is time to let you go!
Easy to move around and really does take a lot of moisture out of the air. I bought due to respiratory health concerns of living in a flat with damp/condensation issues. The addded bonuss is you can also use this to aid indoor clothes drying.
Had this for around 4.5 years now and use it almost every day to help dry the washing in the apartment and reduce condensation after showering. The unit has just kept on going with no trouble at all and gets the job done. Timer function is handy so it doesn’t stay on for the whole day while out. Easy to empty. Zero maintenance. If it broke I’d buy the same one again. Highly recommend.
Very effective (I am using the product for 1 year and a half). Fit for the purpose also, the clothes drying option is unbelievable efficient. You will be amazed how much water is collected in 8 hours.
Had this for 6 months after moving into a flat I wondered how I was going to dry clothes this was the perfect solution. I set it to 4 hour timer top fan speed on laundry mode and it’s almost dry in that time the results are really incredible
I’ve a couple of these dehumidifiers and they’re very effective and not too noisy although they’d be distracting if we’re in the same room, I use mine with a smart plug to control them remotely and on a schedule which is very effective when away from home, capacity is good and even when using them to help washing to dry don’t require emptying too often.
Great machine, so reasonable size and sucks out a lot of moisture. We can’t go without it in colder months. Also helps when drying laundry. This is our second machine after the first one broke after 5 years.
