Got this to replace a previous unit for use in unheated porch. What a difference! It dried the place in no time and maintains the low humidity with just a short daily use. The automatic humidistat means that it does not have to run for long, so I put it on 2 hour timer once a day and I think it might run for 40 minutes or so in total. Much better than the last one we had.

We have real issues with condensation in our kitchen in spite of having an extractor fan. We fitted an electric heater but that did nothing to remover the problem. Some one recommended a dehumidifier and we have been amazed at how quickly it whips the moisture out of the air (an just how much there is!). Wave bye bye to streaming walls and windows and black mould.

It does what it says it does, quietly and efficiently.

Really pleased with this purchase especially when you cannot dry clothes outdoors. Was surprised by the amount of ‘water’ that was extracted from the air in the house.

I haven’t had the dehumidifier for long, it certainly absorbs the moisture and is excellent in reducing the time of drying washing. I have yet to understand if it is energy efficient. So far I would recommend this produc

So far so good, excellent performance. I will see if it lasts.

Seems very efficient so far at removing moisture from the air, we have it placed in a downstairs ‘snug’ room (old house, quirky layout) and every night over the space of 8 hours it’s filling up at least half of the internal tank.
House is very old and is always going to have some moisture in it, the condensation that we were seeing on some windows in the down stairs rooms on colder mornings has been completely eliminated so very pleased. It also emits some nice warm air when in use so provides a little heat to this room overnight which is a nice benefit.
Noise level is a little louder than I would ideally have wanted and there are more economical models out there. That said, on the Eco setting (which is more than adequate for our needs overnight) its not using that much extra electricity. Plus I will only need to use it from November to March.
Overall very pleased. Some reviews suggested the build quality wasn’t great but I think it’s spot on.

Very effective at reducing moisture in cool/cold rooms – judging by the volume of water collected and humidity reading reduction.
Low fan noise in “economy” mode.
Somewhat dated design and could do with wheels and a longer power cord, but otherwise recommended.

The water tank feels a little plastic and lifting cover to empty is a tricky, but it does hold a lot of water.
Certainly does the job. Not sure on efficiency as yet.

Much larger than our Mk2 model, good to see humidity read ou

Purchased to replace an old desiccant dehumidifier that had had its day. Product did have some minor damage when received (cracked tank) however the seller dispatched a replacement tank within a day. Product working great and very quiet compared to what we had. Thanks Walter!

Amazed with how much water it collected in the first 10 days. Overnight condensation on windows has now gone. Delighted with purchase

Well packaged, sturdy unit and instructions excellent. Initially located in worst bedroom for condensation. Used quick start option and 3 litres of water removed in first six hours. Range appears to be beyond only one room, but will experiment further. It may be more expensive than some, but if this works as well as our initial experience, it will be well worth the cost. Very pleased.

It sort out our humidity problem in 3 days. Can work very quiet which is very useful. We can turn it on at night despite our baby. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Fantastic dehumidifier will fill 2 tanks a day if on laundry mode. Minor odour but generally a great machine I’ve had 2 smaller eclair machines in the past and would recommend this brand to anyone

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe have always had a real problem with condensation in our property, so have used many different dehumidifiers in our time, but this one is far superior to any we have had before, and for the first time ever during the colder mornings, our windows haven’t had that net curtain of condensation over them, as they normally would, with the auto function has kicked in overnight, and the window sills are dry!
If I did have one little complaint about it is empting the water. Getting the draw out, is stiff to pull and getting the cover off to empty the water is tricky, but minor niggles for an otherwise brilliant dehumidifier.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe ecoair met my expectations. It is fairly quiet for something that moves a lot of air (not silent but a lot quieter than fan heaters we have, for example) . It removed a lot of water quickly. I used it to help speed up plaster drying out so that I could decorate before a kitchen installation and it worked a treat. (There are different schools of thought on whether that is a good idea but the highly experienced plasterer I used said it would be fine to use a dehumidifier so I went with it).

I bought a none condensing one so that I could also use in an unheated garage in winter to occasionally dry clothes. I saw recommendations for this model when I looked into that application and use to dehumidify a cold garage. I feel quite confident this will work, although not yet tried, as it is within the operating parameters for the unit.

There is an option to run water to a drain via a supplied outlet tube, as well as via the removable tank. The tank requires a firm tug to remove for emptying and I could imagine someone with a weak grip or no heft might struggle.

Overall very pleased. More than I planned to spend but probably worth it, it looks well made. (I say ‘probably’ only because I will only use occasionally rather than reservations over effectiveness. Also can’t compare to much although I did buy a good, smaller capacity, condenser unit for about 80 less a couple of years ago. That other unit was not suitable for lower temperature usage).

The on board humidity sensor gives the same reading as a separate Govee humidity gauge that I have which also gives some confidence.

Fantastic product. Use it in a damp garage extension that I’m currently using as a home office. Was really surprised just how high humidity level was and this unit quickly got the level down to a more comfortable level.

Really noticed health benefits too as was getting a tight chest and stuffed up nose which is why I got the unit and it has cleared up since getting this unit and getting the humidity level down.

Thoroughly recommend as not too noisy and doubles as a great heater if using in a cold environment.

I was surprised how good this machine is. I have always had refrigerant dehumidifiers. It not only sucks the moisture out of the washing but generates a lot of heat and thereby dry’s the washing with a two pronged attack.

This dehumidifier does its job. Perhaps a shade noisier than we were expecting but nothing to compare it with. The only setting I found less efficient was the laundry one which did not seem to improve the speed at which my clothes dried. Nevertheless, it is lightweight so easily portable. It is easy to empty and does a good job keeping the damp down.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWorks really well, not too loud, and has a large water tray (double the size of others) that only needs to be checked on and emptied weekly or daily if it’s humid (more often if it’s particularly humid or is being used in laundry mode).

A reviewer comparing it to a commercial dehumidifier, that costs well over double the price of this one, said this unit was flimsy and I have to agree with them. It is flimsy, but it’s not bad. In a home setting it’s perfectly adequate. If you’re going to be ragging the dehumidifier around as part of your trade then I would perhaps suggest a commercial unit built from metal.

Another reviewer reported that the dehumidifier was difficult to empty without spilling water everywhere… I haven’t had any issues with this personally, even with a full tank, just empty the tray at the corner where the hole is.
I must add that the plug should be avoided — unless you’re constantly draining the tank with a hose — as it doesn’t empty all of the water out of the reservoir. Tip: Make sure to dry the plug and hole before plugging them up as the tank will leak when filled (the same applies to washing machine filter plugs).

Lastly, another reviewer mentioned error codes. I haven’t had this issue, but would suggest contacting Amazon or EcoAir and querying the 2 year guarantee that comes with the dehumidifier’s purchase.

    Note:
    * Having previous experience of an air filter that I run 24/7 over many years I would recommend pulling the tray out whilst the unit is resting (it will beep). That way the power button won’t wear out.
    * Dessicant is great for Winter as it heats the air; which can get uncomfortably toasty in a humid summer. Compressors are better for Summer as it cools the warm air, but don’t work well in a cold environment.

    Update:
After nearly half a year use, where I routinely emptied the tank before it got full, I found that the dehumidifier doesn’t automatically shut off when the water storage tank is at max capacity (a safety feature mentioned on the listing). The float doesn’t cut the machine off for some reason. Unfortunately I was out at the time (though others were in) and it resulted in the unit overflowing and soaking a carpeted stairwell.
This was on the 55 mode, so would urge extra caution to those using it on laundry mode or 40.
Amazon stepped in on my behalf. Not sure about the 2 year guarantee, I wasn’t given an option.

I bought this to dry out a shed that had become damp. It’s taken several gallons out of the air. The humidity was 93%. The humidity has dropped to 66% so far and the shed is drying out very well. Long term I’ll keep it in the kitchen and use it when cooking or using the tumble dryer. I will also be checking humidity levels around the house and using the machine there if necessary.

It is easy to operate and the water container can be taken out and put back without difficulty. This is the first desiccant humidifier I have used. It is much better that the traditional dehumidifiers at low temperatures.

I am so pleased with this product, it’s light enough to carry around so easy to lift up into the campervan. I regularly use it in my kitchen when I’m cooking to cut down steam levels.
My only negative is that you have to get down on the floor to pull out the excess water tray.

I bought this unit to dry out one of my garages that had a leaking roof. This is a really good unit and I was so impressed with the performance, that I bought a second identical unit for my other garage that houses my Motorbike. Both garages are now at a far lower humidity level and makes for a much more comfortable working environment whilst working in the garages. Result!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Users1st time with desiccant dehumidifier. Previously had a compressor type and found the did very little to the point of me thinking it was broken. Put this on in the same room and the humidity was sucked out of the room nicely. You can tell by the water tank it’s working well. It adds some heat in to the room which is nice. I bought this to go in my garage to keep the +90% under control in the winter to stop the cars and tools going rusty but may well just order another for the house. Works well on drying the washing indoors.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersStrongly recommended. Updated review after 6 weeks use. Hopefully you can tell from video that the noise issue mentioned below has all but disappeared, it’s exceptionally quiet on high or low.
Colour; off white with a hint of cream, my wife and I like it.
First of all the DD3 MK2 soaks up moisture like a sponge on low or high. We previously had a DD128 for 7 years where it was used several times a week throughout the year, keeping humidity right seems to help my daughters asthma. Although the DD3 is larger the shape makes it blend in. It is especially useful for laundry. We had a couple of issues which were sorted out by Simon at Ecoair.
On first use you may find it noisy when on low after it’s warmed up, maybe 10 minutes, low pitch drone or whistling noise. This will reduce after a week or so, I put it down to ‘running in’. At first we thought it was faulty and Ecoair very promptly changed it and said if we weren’t happy they would refund. Excellent.
    So, for and against.
For; soaks up moisture like a sponge, very efficient.
Non intrusive noise, especially on high.
Excellent after sales service made me trust this company.
    Noticeably heats the room.
If you have solar panels then there’s little cost involved in running it.
Against; slightly noticeable sound on low (but we’re keeping it!). Some people may notice this. If it’s placed in a hallway etc, I don’t think it would be an issue. As a work around, run it on high rather than auto then it would only go onto low after the humidity level is reached for a short time while the fan cools the inerds.
The ‘full up auto cut off’ could do with adjusting as it allows a little to much water into the reservoir. You might want to take the complete machine into the kitchen before emptying. Speaking of which, you might want to save the water for your indoor plants, watering and spraying the leaves.

Soaks up moisture like a sponge, quiet.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat product, is frequently able to take down the relative humidity level of our flat down to 50% from over 80%. Runs relatively quiet especially on the lower settings, only a little noisy at high setting, however nothing annoying. Had no issues after a few months. The only downside its the high power draw, but I suppose it doubles as a electric heater. Recomment for cold and humid environments.

Great product for cold and humid environments
