Considered buying one of these ages ago. Kept putting it off. I hoover every day due to the cat. Now I just use this and only use the main hoover once a week. Love how clever it is when not bumping into things… works well with Alexa too!
Great little robot hoover, don’t get me wrong but the AI camera side of things is not the best, the camera requires a well lit room, I’m ok with that but it’s hard to have a well lit area under furniture, so my robot hoover stops and looks around a lot for example when it has to go under the sofa, it’s also had a good chew on a wayward USB charging cable
It’s a good product, the mopping function even works pretty well if you program it to do two laps
If you have a use for the AI camera, other than avoiding cables, get this one, otherwise get the T8 Pure, it’s the same price atm, better cable avoidance, not afraid of the dark but only the standard mop, the upgraded mop can be found separately on Amazon for around 45 if that’s a deal breaker for you.
If I had my time again, that’s what I should have done, got the T8 Pure and then the mop upgrade separately.
This product is incredible! Some time ago when robot cleaners arrived I was very sceptical & judging by what I read they reall weren’t up to the job. Things have improved so I read the which.co.uk reviews they didn’t include this model but had the Dyson robot. I read a lot of reviews & watched a number of videos. As I have a small cleaning business the most important thing was the radar & object avoidance capability then the mopping & of course vaccuming effectiveness. The radar uses the latest Lidar system, used by the military & you may have seen documentaries where buildings have been mapped to preserve them online. The radar is very effective, however the Deebot can get stuck on cables or other “stringy” items, so it’s not perfect. Best thing to do is remove or place such items out of the way. It will easily find such things as chairs, tables etc & move around them. It will go into corners, provided there is enough room & the brushes will sweep into the corners. I have used a Tineco & Dyson cordless & this bot picked up more human hair & pet hair than those two rotary vaccume cleaners. The Deebot is very good at vaccuming provided your not trying to pickup anything much larger than a pea. It will pickup larger items but its best suited to a more tidy environment. It will easily vaccume up spilt coffee, sugar, peanuts etc. It’s ideally suited to going around large spaces, in my case a hotel, bank, job centre etc. Where it can help me as if I had another worker, leaving me free to do the more delicate stuff such as office cleaning. If you buy from the manufacturer as I did on Amazon (just look for their name Ecovacs) then the Ozmo osscilating mopping attachment is included at no extra cost. The standard attachment (included) doesn’t osscilate but just wipes the microfibre pad across the floor. The Ozmo system has a small motor & will scrub at 480 oscillations per minute. The scrubbing action is superb & does a much better job than you would do with an ordinary mop. It won’t damage your delicate wooden or polished floors & I find it a great help. It won’t fall off down the stairs as it has a sensor to detect the edge, in fact all the sensors are very good, just press a button & let Deebot scuttle off & do it’s job. It’s a bit freaky to see it suddenly come to life like a big beetle but after a few minutes you get used to it & it’s amazing how it works it’s way around. The manufacturer doesnt recommend using cleaning fluids in the container, as you can bung up the water outlets & void your warranty. So what I do is make up a solution of hard surface cleaner & put small puddles spaced about 6-10 feet apart & let the Deebot use the liquid to scrub the floor. Make sure your Ozmo reservoir is topped up as it will still pump out a very small amount of water (which you can adjust), you don’t have to lay down puddles as you can use the Deebot as is because the microfibre pad will pick up a lot of dirt. If you want the Deebot to vaccum then mop a combined floor then you will have to use the other reservoir without the Ozmo or use the Deebot with or without the Ozmo to vaccume then scrub (remove the Ozmo if doing your carpets). I’ve attached a video of it vaccuming in a well known national chain of opticians. It will also scrub any floor in exactly the same way using the Ozmo plug in resovoir. I am very pleased with this product but make sure it suits your environment as it’s no good for very small spaces full of clutter. As long as there is enough room for it to move around the objects it will avoid items & even go underneath them & do it’s job. It is extremely effective, quite quick in its movements but in order to be so thorough it will go back & forth quite a bit & take it’s time. I don’t use it to save time but to help me so I don’t wear myself out! All in all its a very good robot, in fact its so good I bought another one as it was on sale & the price had dropped by 100 ! I couldn’t resist that, so what more can you ask for? Btw they also do a robot window/glass cleaner, it’s called the Winbot, I will be checking that out next. Neither product is cheap but you definitely get what you pay for, so don’t go cheap. If you can buy it then do so, if not then save up & get it, it’s great. Btw, I’ve just read my review & realised it sounds like a promo from the manufacturer! Nooo I don’t work for Ecovacs, just happy to share the good news as it’s a great product.
Works a treat. Suction is decent. Mapping is decent.
Just be aware that if your dog has an accident when you’re not around and then the vac sets off then there’s gonna be one hell of a mess. My front room carpet took an hour to clean with a proper carpet cleaner and now I have to clean the robot too! I suppose I should be thankful I have a Bischon and not a Great Dane! Although maybe it would’ve spot a Great Dane poop?
Have a powerful suction even if the floor looks clean you will be surprised how much dust collects, the Mop is not great but is doing his job. The only reason I give him 4 stars is because of app, sometimes don’t recognise his position and start to make a new map which is annoying because I have to spend time to set it up again. I will highly recommend especially if you have pets!
We have been on the fence about getting a robot hoover for some time, and when we finally decided to go for this one, I was apprehensive. I absolutely love this hoover. The app and Alexa integration work flawlessly, and the suction is better than our battery powered Shark. The app is easy to use and it has made a great map of our house. I have mobility issues and this has changed my life- I didn’t think it was possible to live a robot hoover as much as I do!
Positives:
– suction power beats a 250 Shark and it copes brilliantly with long hair and pet hair.
– app is simple to use.
– device is easy to empty and clean.
– mop is decent enough, but obviously isn’t going to cope with really dirty floors.
Negatives:
– dust box needs to be emptied regularly as it is quite small.
– no available auto empty station seems to be available for this vacuum.
Don’t often write reviews but had to write 1 for my my new Deebot Omzo smart Hoover. Wasn’t sure if it would be any good as the reviews wereNt that great but I love it so far. Suction is amazing and love how it cleans my house whilst I’m at work. Have only used the mop once and found it great also. Buy it you won’t be disappointed
So glad we went for this model, its so easy to empty and load the mopping tools when needed, no need for the auto empty version. Having hard floors and cats this saves us so much time over the week, no regrets on the cost.
Our dog is amazing, but he don’t half shed a lot. We found ourselves vacuuming every other day, which was getting a little tedious.
This is when we decided to buy a robot vacuum and after reading many reviews decided for the T8 AIVI as it had object detection, including recognition of dog waste.
It has changed our lives. We’ve set it on a schedule to clean everyday and the house is noticeably fresher and our noses clearer. Don’t get me wrong, this is by no means a replacement for an normal vacuum, which we will still have to do every so often. But as an everyday clean up, it’s perfect – it avoids dog toys, goes around furniture with ease and is easy to use. Most importantly it frees up our time from vacuuming!
The only tiny criticism is that the dust bin is a little small, but after it’s on a schedule cleaning each day and has done a few runs, we only need to empty it every few days which takes seconds.
This is my 2nd ECOVACS Deebot, first one was just a cheap one to see how these work for us.
This one is absolutely awesome, the things is great, cleans our floor every night, never gets stuck and is so quiet.
Love it.
I have had three of these Robot vacuums and have settled with this model. I started with the Ecovacs DEEBOT N8+ which kept losing the location and rebuilding maps, the iRobot Roomba j7+ which was expensive and a thug as well as stupid and noisy. I now have this Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI and added the self emptying station as a seperate purchase. The combination is superb. My annoyance is I had to order the self emptying station from Germany and the Robot from the UK. The combined cost was way less that the Roomba and less that the N8+ so I was content despite the extra hassle. Ecovacs do not do a bundle in the UK! Doh! stupid isn’t it? Anyway the OZMO T8 AIVI trundles around and makes the twice daily run seemless and painless. It keeps the pet hair under control and the oscillating mop is great. Highly recommended.
Easy to set up and use. Everything is controlled via the app. The quick clean mode allows for daily cleaning. Could do with some better instructions on mop mode and what’s required for regular maintenance but otherwise fantastic product and great price during Black Friday sales!
This is a great Robo-helper and a game changer in keeping the house clean.
All you have to do is to use your Smartphone to instruct it where to vacuum and it does the rest. The vacuuming function is very impressive, it is as good as any normal vacuum cleaner. I set it to vacuum twice the same area and nothing gets missed, the floor is spotless. The best thing for me is that when it finishes it just docks itself to recharge!
The scrubbing mopping function is pretty good too. It mops the floor well but cannot remove the most stubborn stains. That would be impossible as these stains require a lot of force to be removed so it just needs a little help from me.
Overall a great little robot that has changed the way we clean. I can’t wait for more robots to help with household chores, I need one for dusting!
Only had this for a couple of weeks but works very well. Easy to set up. I have it set for two different floors and it was really easy to do. I am so surprised at how much it picks up. I will still need to do a deep vac once in a while but for a “once over” it’s great. Mopping is ok, not 100% but I find if you do a quick spray with a detergent on heavy marks it wipes it all up. If your looking for something that keeps it all looking clean in between saya fortnightly or three weekly decent mop.well this works for me. The vacuuming though is great so to have the option of quick wipe over with the mop and good vacuuming this is the one. I’ll update this if I change my mind either way but so far I’m glad I got it.

Works brilliantly, scans the house, AI works well. A bit fiddly to set up initially if you’re not technically minded but instructions were okay. Vacuum works well, mop works well, obstacle avoidance good so less bashing into things.
Had some initial issues but Ecovats team solved the problem. Great machine, very helpful to have it keeping the house clean and mopped. The camera is helpful for when I travel so I can check the property.
We now have 3 Deebots and the OZMO T8 is the latest addition.
So, setup is easy and completed within 3 – 4 minutes. We started by completing the standard clean to map the floor which like the previous versions wasn’t any problem.
I then went to see how the enhanced mopping mode operated and 100% not disappointed. It’s superior to any other mopping robot I’ve tested and actually actively scrubs the floor.
Like previous models, the vacuum suction on these Deebots is on par or even better than the upright manufacturers such as Vax or Dyson you can tell where the vacuum has been due to its strong suction.
Now onto the new feature which I don’t have on the Deebot 920’s. The camera is clear and crisp, I love how you can turn the robot into a remote control driving camera the patrol mode is great we have 2 patrols during the day and so far they haven’t set the house alarm off and the video playback is quality.
This is the first robot vacuum that I’ve had, and I was more than a little dubious about just how good it’d be, but having had it for just over a week, I’m very pleased with it so far. Looks nice, and very easy to set up and get running using the app on my phone.
I’ve got it scheduled (also very easy to set up) to clean once a day and it’s done it faultlessly so far, negotiating nicely around obstacles and a small, but inquisitive cat! Okay, so it’s got stuck twice, but neither ocassion was its fault. The first time, I left too narrow a gap between a couple of pieces of furniture (literally about a centimetre either side) which confused it, and the second was when I carelessly left a charging cable in the middle of the floor. Both easy to rectify. And it was really quite funny to hear it call out (literally) for help when it got stuck.
You can visually track cleaning progress in the app, once it’s mapped out the rooms (which it seems to do very accurately), and a useful touch is that the app gives details of roughly how long you have before anything needs replacing. You do get spare brushes, mopping pads and a dust filter in the package, so will be a while before I need to buy any spares.
As far as general cleaning goes, I’d say it’s every bit as good, if not better than my Dyson upright (not that that says much!). What I thought was a fairly clean house to start with was soon put into perspective by how much dust and fluff it sucked up on its first run. I have a mixture of carpet and wooden floors and it seems to clean them both equally well, automatically detecting carpet and increasing the suction to compensate.
The patrol mode is probably a little frivolous, but it’s quite amusing to switch it on while I’m at work and see what the cat’s up to! It also has a one way microphone (phone to vacuum), but I’ve not been able to get this to work. However, if that’s the only major ‘problem’ I have, I can more than live with that.
Negative points? A few, but nothing major. It’s not great at cleaning right up to the edges of skirting boards, etc. (although it does get some of the dirt/dust). The dust bin isn’t very large (needs emptying just about every day) and the mop function isn’t great. It’s passable if the floor is already clean, but doesn’t get rid of much in the way of marks/dirt, even using the included oscillating mop. In fairness, I’d read up on all these beforehand and they’re common to pretty much all robot vacuums and, to be honest, they’re no real hardship.
Overall, I’d thoroughly recommend this, especially if you have pets! It’s certainly met my expectations in the short time that I’ve had it. Vaccuming isn’t a thing of the past, but it’s now a much less frequent chore.

I have had been working with this machine for 4 days now. It is a steep learning curve so stick with it! It’s very easy to set up and the app works well.
The information is given in small bites and I urge you to contact customer services on the chat button which is underneath the FAQ section. The chat is answered very quickly and I have had Medina each time. She is very patient and I have contacted her every day with different questions.
If you request a transcript this is emailed after the chat so you can re read all the answers.
With her help the process has been brilliant.
The trickiest part for me was to complete the first map such that the Deebot returns to the docking station on its own. With my inexperience I made a few errors and had to return it myself.
It got stuck under a settee which I did nt realise it could get under and the main brush assembly popped off as it tried to climb on the metal infrastructure underneath. I managed to coax it out and what impressed me was the fact that the pieces had nt broken but popped apart and were easy to reassemble,
You need to make sure that areas like some splayed legs need to be protected so the robot does nt try and get between them. I used an old torn sheet and wrapped it round the legs. After the first map has been saved you can create virtual barriers.
Overall I would say it is a great machine. It cleans and mops very well and you can alter the suction and mopping action for more or less and recognises when it’s missed a section and goes back to finish it.
It took 73 mins to clean 5 rooms.
Good value for money and once you have mastered all the areas it will be easy to use.
It is very sophisticated and the manufacturer has thought of everything.
I love it.

We’ve now had this 2 weeks and we utterly love it. Robo-Cinders as it has become known really has changed our routine and made life easier.
I must call out that this is our first robot vac so from that perspective I have no frame of reference, but we’ve got a Dyson stick vacuum that was used multiple times a day and is now (almost) redundant.
We have 2 young kids and a chocolate lab who sheds – a LOT – and we also have a very light coloured laminate floor covering the hall and kitchen downstairs, tiled toilet floors and carpet through the rest of the house.
We have used the Deebot on both floors of the house and contrary to other reviewers I’ve not had any real issues with creating of saving maps. Any issues experienced were due to us finding our feet.
We have the app installed on 2 phones and the Deebot is also connected to Alexa. This gives us a lot of flexibility. In the app you can tweak a lot of things, you can set rooms up in the map and name them – not massively relevant as you cannot use voice commands so specifically in Alexa – what you can do for each area is change default mopping and vacuuming water flow/power levels.
The vacuuming side of things is amazing, it picks up great and leaves lovely vacuum lines on carpet, it gets right under a lot of the furniture – the AIVI post is raised and so that limits it a little but that furniture would not regularly be moved/vacuumed under anyway so I can’t really mark down for that. It also automatically boosts suction to max on carpeted areas which is a nice feature.
Noise levels are great, significantly quieter than the Dyson – even with the oscillation pro mopping attachment in place.
On the mopping side, it comes with the stock water tank and re-useable microfibre cloth and it also comes with the pro system. We have only used the pro system. It uses disposable pads, we have washed and they come up well enough but the kit comes with a spare pack of 10.
The mopping system is good – not great – despite the oscillating pro system it will not shift some dried dirt patches, they required manual intervention. It does do s generally good job though. Top tips would be to wet the pad before use and turn the mopping flow level up to the highest setting.
It will automatically avoid what it sees as carpeted areas when the mop is attached. This isn’t an issue for us as our hall and kitchen are all the same surface and don’t have carpet between them but it may be if you have multiple surfaces dotted around. A mechanism to lift the pad when transiting would be good and is something that is available with iRobot at a higher price point.
I would recommend having a quick run round and lift things off the floor if they don’t need to be there for maximum cleaning efficiency but the Deebot is intelligent enough to avoid most objects and will tell you if it has met an obstruction, it also gives you the chance to go back to that area then the obstruction has been moved. It’s not s fan of iPhone cables so get them out the way as they will get tangled in the wheels.
Moving the Deebot between floors is straightforward, just lift the dock and Deebot to where you want it and let it to its thing. When you’re done just move it back to where it was before (remember to turn the dock back on at the wall)
You need to enable multi-floor maps for this. You can save each map and rename in the app. Once it has mapped the area it just gets on with it. It even gets under the kids beds.
We haven’t really used the camera other than having a bit of fun with it but it does provide the ability to patrol your home which is a nice security feature. You can also tell it to go to certain areas if you want it to look at something specifically, you can also send voice messages through it in this mode, again, other than for s bit of fun this isn’t something that we’ve used.
We lead busy lives, we both work from home, communal areas see a lot of traffic, the dog often has muddy paws and leaves hair everywhere. We are pretty tidy and due to the aforementioned light coloured flooring would find ourselves vacuuming multiple times a day and mopping multiple times a week downstairs. Upstairs would get a vacuum once a week.
This device saves us a massive amount of time – instead of spending time vacuuming we can be doing other things – not exactly sunning ourselves in St Tropez but cooking, ironing etc. (sign me right up to robot solutions to those), we even have it scheduled to vacuum downstairs before we get up!
Overall this is a really great bit of kit – the mopping is not amazing it is adequate but will still require manual intervention. As stated we really vacuum a lot, the Deebot does a better job than we did and the house is cleaner as a result. Game Changer.

The vacuum cleans well and mops ok too. So impressed I got another one for upstairs
Good at mapping the floor and avoiding obstacles. Auto detects rugs and carpets and increases suction when it does. Can be scheduled and can be told to just clean on area, like the kitcken after cooking.
I’ve had it for a few months.
Works very well for us.
Just you need a good internet coverage and a floor with no obstacles.
The mopping(with water) part; is too much hassles, and you have to keep changing the pads.
Overall, very happy with my purchase, life and time saver.
Great hardware, teh mapping is great – but fairly regularly the map gets corrupted in some way and tghe process has o be re-done. Thsi si not a big issue as the robot just does it without any instruction form you – just menas that remap cleanign cycle takes a bit longer. This seems to happen particlalry whn swappign floors – an abilty totell the robot which map it is now in (via the app) would seem like an obvious fature to add – so that if th auto-location fails you can give it a hint.
Great customer service It continues sending messages to say the bumper is stuck when it isn’t. Looking forward to the next generation to see if things are sorted with this one. I was up and down the stairs like a yoyo last night before giving up and putting her back in her doc. Stuck agai
No really, how did we ever get by without a robot vacuum? I’ll tell you how. We just put up with dust in the corners of life.
This vacuum is a game changer. We just tell Google Assistant to switch it on, and away it goes. It recognises when it’s on carpet and does an excellent job. It even cleans UNDER the couch, which really only got done previously if we were renovating, replacing our couch, or moving house.
Previously, no matter how often I swept (and let’s face it, the “often” I speak of usually wound up being once per week, at the most) we’d have a thin layer of crumbs, dust and pet hair lining the skirting boards of our kitchen. But now we just set RoboVac going and she deals with all that while I happily work upstairs.
I can quite honestly say that we’ve never had a house so dust-free for such a long stretch of time.
It’s pretty quiet too. Both our uptight cavapoo and our skittish cat just kinda glance at it and then look away, utterly disinterested.
The oscillating mopping action is ok, but we live on a half-finished housing development where the cat in particular tends to pick up building site mud on his feet, and track it into our utility room. The oscillating mop struggles to get through the several layers of mud, and so it needs a bit more help with a cloth.
This is just a brilliant wee device. I don’t know why we put it off so long. Get it. Do it. Enjoy!
Firstly yes it’s a pricey machine but if you’re in two kinds of whether it’s worth it I would say go ahead and buy it. We have a puppy and our hard floors we’re getting dusty and gritty on a daily basis. I have no time for brushing, vacuuming and mopping daily, hence the Ozmo T8.
Vacuums great with adjustable levels of power – I leave it on normal and it’s more than enough for daily sweeps.
There are two mopping options which you get. The standard wet mop which is more a damp cloth wipe, or the Ozmo Pro mopping system which you receive which generates a scrubbing motion.
I run a vacuum/mop daily which it does at the same time. Nothing better than coming in to a house with a clean floor when I’ve been out.
Fantastic. Extremely clever robot. I was given this as a present. Initially I was sceptical but pleasantly surprised as it manoeuvred well in my house, and reliably collected the dog hair!
I also used it to mop the kitchen. Certainly not as good as a wet mop, but cleared most of the marks with the vibrating mop head that comes as standard. Before and after pics attached. You need to set the scrubbing pattern to “deep scrubbing” to get the best results. This can only be set with the vibrating mop head installed.
Love that it can also operate as a mobile web cam. Means I can check on the dogs when out of the house.
Only niggle is you can only save two maps. As my ground floor is on two levels, and 1st floor has two steps, I can’t save multiple cleaning instructions for the 1st floor.
It’s a lovely robot it does its job surprisingly good. Only issue it takes quite a long time to get used to and map all the house. A bit difficult to understand it. It once you passed this it’s so easy and helpful. Highly recommend it!!!
Essentially this vacuum worked better than I expected. I thought I lived in a clean house but even after my normal vacuuming with a famous brand, this wee beastie managed to pick up a full load, three times in the space of a couple of days. No animals or children in the house ! I love the fact that I can rename it and name the rooms, so that I can say ‘Hey google, ask Robot to clean the living room’. some of the software is a bit fiddly. I would like it the house map selection wasn’t just a rectangle, and dividing the rooms was easier to find and not such a fiddle. It’s got stuck twice, now that I know where I’ve set boundaries to keep it away from those areas. I would love more room names for labels (it doesn’t have ‘hall’ but does have ‘corridor’ and it only has bedroom not bedroom 1, 2, etc.)
The mopping seems fine, but only tried that once, it doesn’t bring out dried stains. It really just a wet cloth over the floor, was I really expecting more?
It does seem to wander around a bit but eventually gets there. It manages to get over my rugs – and recognises them as such- and persistently tried to mount my chair tripod legs until I made a boundary about that. It won’t fully replace my big vacuum, but overall in the first month I’m really pleased with it.

Excellent robot cleaning really well.
App not the best – it doesn’t always work. But more recent interaction has been fine. Plus the app instructions are v v basic. But that should not distract from a fantastic vacuum that cleans & negotiates furniture really well.
Nearly six months on & still fantastic. Havevused the mop – just uses plain water & a small tank bur does clean and if you used regularly would be very useful (somehow i don’t get around to putting the mop section on!)
Still recommend this to everyone when we chat about it.
I have to admit that I have tested a few Evacs and this is by far the most superior of them, it has the ability to map a room even when it’s not in there, just to clarify I’m statement: I mapped my front room fully although I had a child gate between front room and kitchen therefore deebot could not go in to kitchen, to my surprise the deebot had the ability to sit at the gate and map the kitchen out prior to being put in there. Also this is has a more ability to avoid objects in the room, suctions is good and for my reasonably sized living room it can do a standard clean in about 12 mins (and I have 6 cats and 2 kids) – my kitchen has slate tiles so is by no means level but this is no problem for the T8 with the higher wheels and suspension it doesn’t get stuck whilst gliding around the kitchen floor, the mopping function is ok but would advise wet the cloth underneath beforehand as this saves time, it has the ability to mop and vacuum at the same time and recognises surfaces to doesn’t continue to
Mop once returning to my carpet, the T8 also has a Camera fixed to the front and you are able to talk through this (remotely), I have not tried these added functions yet as cannot yet find a purpose (maybe useful
If I am using deebot when I am out and one of the cats are sitting in the way of the charging dock) – all
In all of you get yours hands on one of these Deebots then you won’t want anything less. (The Alexa functions seem to be the same as the previous evac deebots and you can either give direct Alexa command to clean or return to dock or set a routine)
If you have a clean minimalist house, you will love this robot vacuum cleaner. It works well – as long as there is not much clutter, and as long as the carpets are fitted. It does not like loose rugs. It does not like clutter. It absolutely hates cables. A crowded, cluttered British family home is not a good environment for this robot vacuum. It constantly catches on rugs. It constantly tangles itself in charger cables. It claims to be able to see cables and avoid them, but in reality it sucks up cables, gets them tangled in its wheels, and gives up. Then it calls for help (yes, really – it has a voice). If you have a clear house – no cables, no socks, no pets, no shoes, no loose rugs – it works well. So perhaps this is best for a chic couple or singleton with a minimalist house, but perhaps not so much for a family with pets in a cluttered house. In ideal situations it does work very well, so I give it four stars.

Okay so initially I had a faulty unit that wouldn’t connect to wifi, not ideal and tech support were unable to fix the problem. However, customer service stepped in and replaced the unit. The new robot connected first time and works perfectly. The robot avoids obstacles and the cleaning can be adjusted with settings in the app for a more thorough clean or a quicker mop. As smart home products go robot vacuums and mops are brilliant they actually save you time and effort and they keep the house cleaner. Once successfully paired with the wifi this model is excellent.
Absolutely unbelievable! 5* doesn’t even come close!
You can see my gripe below… I loved the cleaner anyway and had an issue with the courier Amazon used…
What I didn’t expect and have never experienced before was the follow up I had from ECOVACS… It wasn’t their problem to solve but solve they did! And once solved, they continued to go above an beyond…. I now have two of these cleaners and I cannot recommend both the cleaner and the company enough!
Customer Service 2.0
Thank you guys, truly.

This cleaner is amazing. We had it for a week and then they ran this promotion knocking another 100 off!! Amazing I thought so contacted customer support who told me to send my one back and reorder a new one with the better price… double amazing I thought!!! Right up until they shipped the new order with the worst courier in the UK… Now I have no cleaner, I don’t know where it is, I can’t get any help from Amazon as the courier has lied about dispatch and is uncontactable. (Google tells me that this is really common and they have an avher review of 1.7)
The vac gets 5 stars+
The prime shipping carrier gets 0 stars
Amazon CS gets 1 star because they’re nice but they just tell.me.i need to wait atleast a week!
The wife just keeps getting angrier.
I’ve started drinking.
As a vacuum cleaner it’s actually way more powerful than I expected and does a good job of getting right to the edges and corners. The Ozmo Pro mop is also surprisingly good, but does the mop pad does not go right to the edges.
I have a long pile rug, the unit can not climb the edge and complains the drop/edge sensor is dirty if you place the robot onto the rug by handbut this is a very long fluffy rug maybe 3cm tall at the edge.
The mapping function is very very good and the AI does work surprisingly well at avoiding most objects. So you can trust it to just do it’s thing without having to keep an eye on it.
Don’t expect it to deep clean your entire house, and it’s the first robot vacuum I’ve owned, but it definitely does a great job of keeping the dust down and maximising time between using a full size manual vacuum.

Great for cleaning hard floors. Mop is ok but little more than a wipe over. Really doesn’t like carpets at all. We’ve scheduled ours to work while we sleep and get up to nice clean floors.
After previously puchasing a cheaper Eufy model and having a disaster with it, I decided to splash out on this one, hoping and praying it would be much better and it is! I use it almost daily for hoovering and mopping twice a week with the oscillating mop which I also love! We have a large tiled area and I don’t need to refill the water tank at all as it holds a lot. It has built the maps of the area well and I have setup the virtual walls (soooo much better than having to stick down any barriers on the floor etc). I also use it separately to hoover and mop the hall so have 2 floor plans and it recognises which floor plan it is using. The floors feel nice and clean afterwards. We have 2 cats so it is coping with cat hair as well.

We’ve had robot vacuums for many years to keep our main living area clean. Most have been Roomba models, generally near top of the range at the time of purchase, and one Samsung. This is by far the best and most consistent performing. The app works well and I really have no complaints. The mopping function is ok, not spectacular but we were not expecting it to be – we still use it occasionally though. If you are considering buying it, just go ahead.
Easy set up. Simple functionality via the app.
Easy to set areas not to clean.
Spent extra to get camera but not really used as cannot use camera and clean at same time. Seems pointless to send on circuit if not cleaning just videoing.
Simple disposal of waste and water set up. Water scrub not as strong as would like, but okay.
Be aware cannot clean at night unless leave lights on around house.
Disposable cloths just get put through washing machine no need to buy more really.
Overall, good product and on daily basis gets a full bin full, so shows its usage.
Pros:
Navigation is amazingly good. I also have the similarly priced Roomba i7 and not only does the T8 map faster and more accurately than the i7 it cleans the house in one pass in about 70 minutes. The i7 can take nearly 4 hours as it wastes so much time hitting walls, chairs, tables and other things it should know are there that is has to go recharge for an hour and a half in the middle of the run.
Obstacle avoidance is also spot on. I don’t have to worry if I know i’ve left something on the floor when I hear it kick off on it’s schedule. Unlike the i7 where startup induces a mild panic and run around the house looking for things it will inevitably get stuck on.
The app is feature comparible to the Roomba app but has the advantage of showing you in realtime where the bot is while it’s cleaning. I have had some issues where the map will get corrupt and start overlaying slightly rotated versions ontop of the original but that seems to have been resolved with an update and hasn’t happened again.
Vacuuming performance is great, it really gets into the nooks and crannies without getting stuck, follows edges well and suction/cleaning is really good.
Neutrals:
The non-pro mop is totally useless, but since it also comes with the pro version it doesn’t matter. The mop is pretty good for routine cleaning, it really doesn’t deep clean or handle muddy paw prints. It certainly won’t replace a good steam mopping but it’s fine for light duty. I wouldn’t buy this just for it’s mopping ability, it seems more like a nice bonus than a core competency.
Cons:
The T8 really can’t handle pet hair, it very quickly clogs the brush and the castor wheel requiring cleaning after every run as they’re completely overloaded with hair. I’ve seen reviews mention this problem and suggest just running the T8 more often but with my long haired dog even daily isn’t enough to keep the brush and wheel free. The castor might be a bigger problem long term, it clogs easily so frequently needs cleaned but the way it’s made means it’s really difficult to service and you need to pop the axle out of the housing which is a pretty soft plastic, deforming it over time. The i7 castor in comparison slides out easily and the wheel is open from the underside making cleaning a breeze.
I also have the self empty station for the T8 and it’s basically useless for me. The emptying ports are tiny compared to the i7 and it’s never successfully emptied if the bin has any realistic amount of hair or fluff in it. I suspect the fact it has small dual ports instead of one large one also makes this worse as the air will take the easy way out and not pull the contents along with it. It’s not just pet hair that causes the problem either, if I use the T8 upstairs where it’s fully carpeted the bin fills up with fluff from the carpet and it can’t self empty. The i7 in comparison hasn’t had a single blockage when emptying.
For me if I didn’t have a dog or lots of carpet the T8 would win hands down. It’s just a generation ahead of the Roomba in every way apart from it’s ability to handle hair. However as it’s not really viable for me I’ve replaced it with a Roomba S9 but every day as the S9 bounces along the wall in it’s vain attempt to go in a straight line I do wish the T8 could have handled pet hair a bit better.

All I can say is where has this machine been all of my life? It’s absolutely brilliant. The vacuum is powerful enough for any house and the mopping feature is an added bonus. I have two dogs which cast like mad and this device has been a god send. I would say that the standard mop is not the best in the world but it does an ok job, but leaves the floor streaky in areas. The Pro Mop is outstanding, does a great job every time. The only downside to the Pro Mop is that it make the unit rather loud.
Another downside to this device is the fact that you have to continually insert or remove the mop depending on whether you want to vacuum only or mop. Hopefully one day one will be designed that can go over carpets and not mop.
Quite a few times since starting to use I have also had to delete and re-map the area because it seems to get itself confused about it’s location and overlays a new map on top of the old, this causes it to go a bit haywire. Not figured out the cause yet.
The AVI function works great, detects obstacles and manoeuvres around them (unless it’s having a map issue).
Every time I empty the bin it scares me how much crap the device has sucked up.
There are some really good features such as being able to set the vacuum power and mopping mode for each individual room. The fact that you can set it to clean individual rooms or even sections of rooms is great.
The Alexa/Google integration is good and works well.
I haven’t really tried the patrol function yet. Not really seen the point but maybe I will at some point.
I used to vacuum at least 5 times a day due to dog hairs and the stuff that gets dragged in. Now I set off the Ozmo 2-3 times a day and the house has never been so clean.
Highly recommended to anyone.
This is my first venture into robot vacuum cleaning and I have to say I am very impressed. I did a lot of research before making my purchase and I’m not at all disappointed. Here are my observations…
The Alexa integration is basic — limited to switching the Deebot on and having it return to dock, so operation is all done via smart device. During mapping It took a couple of goes for it to find all of my rooms and I’m not sure why. I discovered you have to switch the unit completely off before relocating the charger and Deebot to map a second floor, but having done that it was an easy process and I have successfully created two floor maps. When you make any edit to the map i.e. virtual boundaries any labels you may have added to the map get removed but labels for the rooms consist of choosing the room name from the list and that’s easy enough to quickly redo each time. The Deebot gets quite dusty and dirty but is easy enough to clean and the roller brush comes out completely for removal of anything wrapped around it. The waste bin on first use overflowed. It’s a good idea to empty it every single time you use it! It’s not as big as some of the other Robo Vacs but that’s because it’s a dualpurpose cleaning machine.
I haven’t yet tried mopping but so far can see how good it’s carpet detection vs hard floor and drop detection is. My pets are not at all bothered about it. There is no frantic barking from the dog and the cat barely moves out the way as Deebot approaches!
I wouldn’t say it will replace my main vacuum cleaner completely but that will only come out once in a blue moon now as this is more of a maintenance cleaner rather than a deep clean that you might do at the weekend. Of course it can’t do the stairs so whilst I’ve got the hand vac out to do them I might then go into the corners where Deebot couldn’t reach

Works well but looses a star as it keeps loosing the map and getting lost. The app is a bit useless as well. Mop works ok but is a bit long winded to use
Good help around the house once set up. For larger houses and different levels, the mapping and navigation is an issue – 2 maps only (I.e. 2 levels) can be mapped, large floors likely to not be mapped properly.
I’ve had a basic Roomba for years, but I was looking for something smarter that didn’t wander forever while cleaning and could navigate between rooms.
This met and exceeded all my expectations. It can clean a whole floor of the house on its own, easily knowing to clean one room and then move on to the next. It cleans in perfect little back and forth lines, so it finishes much more quickly then a lower end roomba that wanders randomly. It scans your house with lidar as it cleans and makes a full floorplan. Then from them app, you can also tell it to clean one room or go to a specific area you draw. It also works over the internet so you can start cleaning when you aren’t even home.
It can handle a multi-story house just fine. The only trick is that it uses it’s charging base to orient itself initially, so you can optionally buy an extra charging base for each floor of you want it to remember each floor plan. But you can still run it on another floor without a charging base – it just won’t save the map in that case and will do a quick perimeter scan. But it works fine in practice.
The mopping add-on was more useful than I expected. It’s smart enough to know when the mop is attached and to avoid carpet but pick up all the noncarpeted areas.
It’s also much smarter about navigating tight spaces and avoiding cords than a basic Roomba. It can even figure out an alternate path if you dispatch it to clean a room but the normal way it would go has a door closed in the way.
Overall, this is a really impressive device. It delivers on the original dream of a robot vacuum. Highly recommended.

Purchased this fantastic robot vacuum after my previous iRobot Roomba i7 was the most over rated robot vacuum iv owed (iv owed 3, 4 if you count this one) previous was slightly better after iRobot released new designed app but not improved enough especially for the premium price paid (2 previous to that were Eufy Robovac – great units by the way) Anyway back to point or did I mean PAINT!!! The iRobot would dragged itself against skirting leaving black lines on the white finish resulting in damage to newly decorated woodwork as wouldn’t come off fully, it would banged into thing very aggressively and as for avoidance “do you mean smashing into the back of the foot while it’s cleaning.. you little Bar steward ” anyway you get the drift not impressed for a premium model like the iRobot Roomba i7

On the expensive side but worth every penny. Maps your house with lidar, vacuums really well even on carpet and object avoidance works great. Mopping so and so. I’ve read many complaints about the app or the fact that you need to connect to their servers to use it, but never had any issues. Also the original teething problems with the firmware back in Aug-Sep 2020 seem to have been solved. Absolutely no complaints so far.
I’ve had a number of robot vacuums in the past, and up until recentyl i thought i had found the right one, it worked on a timer and just came on twice a night to make sure the house was topped up and clean, however it kept getting caught on things and i couldn’t set it to clean different parts of the house without adding magnets everywhere, which is annoying to say the least. So it was time for a smarter upgrade.
So we went all out…this one allows us full control over scheduling, making sure it completes it’s clean, ensuring it’s got enough battery to get back to base (no longer stuck in the middle of the floor. Obstacle avoidance, video mapping of the home and area separation (you can clean different parts of the house as you clear them ready) as well as a ton more options that i’m sure i will be discovering as i go.
It also has a cool sentry mode function where it roams around the house checking everything which is a nice touch. Only improvements i would say is integration into Smart Life would be a great add on but not essential.
After a family member bought a lower specification robot Vacuum, and raved about it, I couldnt resist. I also couldn’t be more impressed. Having pets and recently replaced my carpets I wanted something that will keep the maintenance regular, and save me the hassle of having to vacuum daily. I have set the DEEBOT up to clean at 9am daily and I no longer give it a second thought.
Out of the box, it’s simple to set up the brushes and even easier to connect with the app. After a quick software update it created a map of the room, and allows me to specify areas it should avoid, so no spilt dog food! Once it’s finished its clean, I can visually see how well it gets into the carpets and even though there’s never a huge amount of foot traffic, It’s picking up bits my regular vacuum was missing.
The mapping system means it knows exactly where to go and cleaning in the most efficient way, meaning it gets the job done and returns to its charger dock swiftly. The hard floor functions are also effective on my kitchen laminate!
Additionally the mounted camera system means I can monitor my house from my phone when I’m not around, which gives me a little more reassurance that both the house and pets are ok

I decided on this mainly because I saw an independent review highlighting this as the best on the market and also because there was a deal on which saved me a bit of money. That said, I still had to shell out a lot of money for this but I can honestly say that this is the best that I have owned, and I have owned a few different ones already! Previous ones that I have owned in the past advertise that they are “smart” and that they clean in a systematic way but they haven’t done – they have been like headless chickens scooting about, cleaning the same areas over and over and getting stuck, my previous one would even die mid-clean even though it had over half of it’s battery life left. No uch issues with this one…
Firstly, setting it up was a doddle. Simply plug in the dock and switch that on, switch on the docked robot vac and download the app. Scan the QR code on the robot vac and that effectively pairs the robot vac with the app. After a couple of updates – one of which to the firmware, another to the camera, it was good to go. It will start by constructing a virtual map of the entire floor (I have it running on the ground floor of my house as it is the largest area) – it does this my making its way around the edges of the cleaning area and drawing up barriers and obstacles as it goes – it also cleans whilst doing this. We have a couple of thick rugs in our sun room and it makes it’s way across these slowly but effortessly. It really gets across the hardfloor quickly though. What I like about it is that it really is intelligent. For example…
1) If it doesn’t run into a barrier (so, leaving an area uncleaned) it will still go back and get over to that ears to clean and continue filling in the gaps on the virtual map.
2) Another feature that I really like is that it will go up and down in tight parallel lines doing 180 turns to ensure that it covers the entire area and it does a great job of edge-cleaning (see the attached video).
3) Lastly, unlike my previous robot vacuum cleaner it doesn’t keep going until it crashes into something, once it has worked out the barrier and cleaned that edge it will stop short of that.
The app works well as well. Allowing you to monitor it in real-time. You can also set boundaries on the constucted map (see the red box in the image). I marked a barrier here to stop it (albeit, temporarily) from going into the lounge as the kids play in there and the dog relaxes in there. The area covered and duration can be tracked in here as well as the battery life left on the robot vac. The battery life is impressive! It cleaned the whole area that I needed it to and still had well over half it battery left in it.
Another feature that I like is the ability of it to act like a roaming security camera. You can send it to various rooms to check what is or has happened in there. We have used it to spy on the dog a couple of times but he usually keeps well out of the way! Still, it’s a very nice to have! The mopping function, I am yet to explore so I will update this review when I do.

Unfortunately I returned my Ozmo T8 AIVI after only a few hours of use. Here are my thoughts, the build quality is exceptional, you can tell a lot of thought has gone into making a quality product. I particularly liked the bin, its the easiest to empty of all robot vacuums i’ve tried and the filter was very easy to clean….couple this with the self emptying bin and I can see why this has such good reviews. Also the unboxing experience was great.
However the rest of my experience wasn’t so positive. To start with pairing with the app over a mixed 2.4/5Ghz mesh wifi network didn’t work, I had to create a separate 2.4Ghz dedicated network just for the robot. Once paired it went out on a mapping run and I was happy with the map it produced, though the mapping and app on roborock is much better.
Having mapped my house, i sent it out to clean…this is where it fell short. It’s dual side brushes in principle sound like a good idea but I found they would just fling debris across my tiled flooring, often sending debris back to previously cleaned areas, it would also leave a trail of crumbs in its wake. I think the main problem here is its power, it has a maximum suction of 1500 PA in max mode, but in normal mode this is dialled down to 600PA and in quiet mode 200PA. Max mode offers good suction but is considerably louder and runs down the battery faster, by comparison I also own a Roborock S6 Maxv which has a max suction of 2500PA but operates at 1500PA in normal mode, and you can definitely tell a difference in pickup ability..plus the roborock in normal mode is no louder than the T8 in normal mode.
I was also excited to try out the mopping abilities of the T8, but again I was left a little underwhelmed. The standard mopping attachment doesn’t apply any pressure to the floor, I think there is not enough weight on the backend of the robot to help with this, so it didn’t maintain good contact. The upgraded OZMO Pro vibrating mopping attachment seemed better, but I could honestly not see a real difference in terms of cleaning performance that justifies the additional noise this system makes. By comparison the S6 MaxV does apply pressure to the floor, and overall mops a little better in my opinion.
Navigation wise this thing was quite poor at avoiding my kids toys, but good at avoiding larger objects. I think the OZMO T8 non AIVI robot will be better in this regard, as it replaces the camera with 3d sensors which allow it to pick up smaller objects in its path. I might try the non AIVI when it comes out, my only reservations about this machine are around its pickup ability on tiled floors…but I do really like the idea of a self emptying bin.
4.1.20 – Update…I contacted Ecovacs with the above issues, and their customer service is excellent. I have been very impressed with the level of support they have offered, so much so I’ve decided to give the robot another chance as I’m aware they are making several software updates to continually improve its features and address some of the issues above. The fact it has the option of a self emptying bin is a real plus, and I think with software updates my experience will be a lot better. Hopefully they also release a newer model at some point with more suction as I will definitely will want to buy that.
This is my first and only robot vacuum, so I have nothing to compare this to. However this is a fantastic product, if at times a little frustrating, it has the potential to be incredible.
Overall, I have only had two instances in 4 months where this got stuck, both on a cable. The annoying thing is that it will try to free itself, sometimes for a long period. Due to this, it actually destroyed a cat 5 cable.
The other slight annoyance is corners, it’s round design and brushes mean that it’s possible to clean corners but only when it approaches at the right angle. Others will be missed.
I have large floor to ceiling windows and when mapping, I have additional “rooms” which are actually just outside the house. I have to label these and ask them not to be cleaned otherwise the hoover tries to bounce constantly into the glass.
The final gripe and the biggest issue is the software. It saves two floor maps but the third cannot, it stays as a recent map. If you want to delete that current map, you need to save it. So you have to delete a saved one, save the current, then delete that one as well! My advice is therefore to map the two floors that will not be changed or altered in anyway – think moving furniture etc.
The positives are that this has removed the arduous task of hoovering (ignoring the stairs), and it can now be done daily which is something very helpful when I have two long haired cats. It’s pickup is excellent, especially on hard floors, and it’s surprisingly quiet. I can pick up the hoover and the docking station, move it to another floor, set it off and leave it to do an excellent job every time. Well worth the money and a fantastic gadget. The mopping device is ok but I feel would be better if you could use cleaning fluid rather than just water, but this would invalidate the warranty. I am looking forward to the self emptying bin attachment!

I bought this robot after looking for a year. It went well for a couple of weeks but then said bumper is stuck. I contacted ecovacs & went through the process of cleaning/ checking and resetting but it is still saying the same. Ecovacs told me they don’t do a global warranty. I contacted Amazon who offered a refund. The robot is now 200 more than it was when I bought it & a replacement isn’t an option. I contacted customer service which is no easy task. They said they would send a link for me to ask ecovacs for a replacement. The link never came & I spent the day trying to get past their customer service robot to no avail. I could have washed my floors 10 times since. These things are fine when the work but when they don’t they take up your whole day…. I bought an eufy cheap robot before this & did not have one issue with it. Edit: Straight away on hearing I had problems, Ecovacs has dispatched a new robot with no hassle at all. I am over the moon. I had watched this robot all year & I really wanted a replacement as they had no bad reviews. If every company could do this it would be so easy to buy from…..
Got this robot cleaner due to it has build in camera system. I love technology and quite impressed with camera and response on hoover.
Slim design, thickness ideal for cleaning under the sofa.
Installation is very easy, need to download user friendly application. Which gives full control to hoover style and programs also to live video.
Hoovering extra long with single charge it last upto 3 hours. When battery level dropped it goes to charging port automatically and charges itself.
With new scanning technology it avoids trip overs. Perfect full room mapping technology, doesn’t keep hoovering randomly, it tracks the room and gives full track of mapping .
On bottom collector brush has hair anti tangle blades. It prevents tangling.
Overall great performance and equipped with modern technology, brings it to next generation hoover robot level.
Have a look my pictures hope it will be helpful to decide if it’s suitable for personal needs or not.

I have owned a Roomba for the last 5 years and decided to buy a more up to date and intelligent version.
I first bought the Dyson 360 Heurist as it was said to have the best suction on carpet of any robot Vacuum.
I am a Dyson fan and was so disappointed with the robot. We have a tidy house but the Dyson would get stuck 10 times just cleaning our lounge so it was sent back.
I considered buying the Roomba S9 but was put off by reviews from people that had owned it for over a year so had a better knowledge than professional reviewers.
So I went ahead and bought the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo t8 Aivi.
Wow what an amazingly intelligent Robot.
It has mapped our house with no trouble. Vaccumed it throughout without ever getting stuck on obstacles. mopped the kitchen floor and been a dream to own.
Such an improvement over our old Roomba and 100 times better than the Dyson Heurist 360
This truly is a futuristic no hassle technological marvel.
I can’t wait to buy the Auto empty station when it is released in this country.
The delivery was prompt and the price was the best I could find at the time. I noted that it has increased in price since my purchase. With regard to robot vacuum, it works well and we enjoy sending it out to clean. I haven’t been able to buy the self emptying station, but the dirt container doesn’t fill up too quickly. I also cannot compare this to any other robot vacuum.
I hope that back up and Customer service is efficient, if there is a problem in the future??

Not usually one to post a reviews but I’ve genuinely had great experience with both the supplier and using my new T8 Aivi.
The T8 arrived a day earlier then expected which was a bonus. So far its definalty one of the best purchase that I’ve made in a while, I can set it going with no supervision and cracking with work. The only drawback as due to he lazer height it can’t quite fit under my sofa, but I was well aware this may be the issue when I bought it.
I also enquired about genuine replacement parts and buying the self emptying charger. Ecovacs were quick respond with the the self emptying station going on sale in early 2021 and as a gesture of goodwill have sent me out a set of spair side brushes, roller and filters, everything I’ll need for the next year or so.

MOBILE APP:
When it arrived I gave it a quick charge and performed the setup via the app, which was really quick and painless. It found the robot immediately, accepted my wifi password first time and allowed me to choose a name, which I have unimaginatively chosen as Ozmo. So far so good. How Ecovacs have got away with using a logo in the app that is the spitting image of the cleaner robot from Wall-E I don’t know, but aside from that the app works as it should and the UX, although room for improvement, allows me to do what I need to with relatively little frustration or dead ends. I’m able to use the camera on the robot (only when it’s not cleaning) to patrol the house and check up on my toddler (who loves it by the way), which has actually saved me from adding a couple of additional static cameras in the playroom. I can also see how long the robot has cleaned, how much area it has covered, and how much battery remains. Finally it allows me to set a schedule and set various settings for cleaning, including cleaning patterns, how many cleaning iterations it should do and also to set the power of the vacuum and amount of water used when mopping. The app communicates with the robot pretty instantly, though it’s not always up to date when you check up on where the robot is and how much of the floor it’s covered already, and I also don’t get push notifications, though I believe that’s due to my terrible HuaWei.
Final thing to say about the app is that it wasn’t super intuitive to set up multi floors, but it does do it. I’m not about to spend this kind of money on two robots for my two storey house so it was important that it had the ability to create two maps, one for each floor, and I set about this in the app. It turns out this is all done seamlessly by the robot without any user intervention – it should recognise that it is positioned in a new location when you set it down on another floor and go about mapping out the new area. However, when I did this it didn’t save the map at the end, so it only ever showed one floor as being mapped. I deleted all maps and started again and this time it all worked, it just would have been useful to pick up the phone and ask questions about this to a product expert (more on that later).
WHAT’S IN THE BOX:
This is an area I was a little confused by. In my box I seemed to receive an additional mopping attachment, although there was already some kind of attachment connected to the vacuum that had a water inlet. Though I’m still not completely clear, I think this is some kind of pro cleaning attachment that may have previously been sold separately and now comes included, as there is no mention of it in the manual that came with it, or the digital one found in the app. This pro attachment has a plate that vigorously moves back and forth to scrub the floor like a mop as it goes. Aside from that it had everything I needed to be up and running, apart from the auto empty station which I believe will be available on Amazon some time in 2021 and will mean I will only need to empty the bin every 30 days, instead of every cleaning cycle. Though this is a small price to pay as it’s a very small and easy task thanks to the good design of the dust box and locking mechanism.
MOPPING PERFORMANCE:
The pro mop attachment is good, though probably the weakest part of the product. I found that I am having to make it do two cycles, on max water setting, to really look like the floor has been cleaned. It does struggle with dried on food like baked beans, but does a reasonable job on my tiled floor and it generally looks cleaner once it’s finished. But if mopping is your primary goal then there are other options on the market, but given this is included on the unit I think I will keep using it see how it goes, I’m certainly not rushing to buy an additional robot just for mopping.
VACUUM PERFORMANCE:
The amount of dust I empty at the end of each cycle shows just how much it is picking up so I think it’s doing a really good job at vacuuming. It navigates round my house fairly efficiently and, although it does on occasion take an odd route, it rarely skips an area completely as evidenced by the map displayed on the app during and after it is cleaning. Its low height means it cleans under my sofas and beds, which is something I only do on occasions because of the hassle of moving everything, so I generally live a cleaner life now. The AI I’m sure will improve but so far I have not been completely convinced by its ability to identify objects. In particular it does struggle with cables and has managed to get stuck, or even pull over a floor standing lamp, when it’s caught itself on the power cord. So I have now gone round the house and mounted all cables and power extension cables on the wall so that it doesn’t get stuck on them. This initially felt like a massive hassle but actually means dust won’t collect in these areas and they will actually get cleaned, where previously I would skip over these with my hoover. You could also just mark these in the app as ‘no go zones’ if you wanted to, I just took the opportunity to do some cable tidying.
SERVICE:
After it arrived I gave it a quick charge and it did a few laps of the house before it ran out of battery. Sadly, manually placing it back on the charging dock did not charge it and the call to the repair centre suggested it was probably a hardware fault. However, performing a reset on the robot myself appeared to get it back up and running again and it has now done many rounds of the house and charged itself at the end of each cleaning cycle so I think the problem is now resolved. It was frustrating to not be able to speak to a product expert; the repair centre number in the app is really just that, only interested in repairs rather than questions about the product itself or the mobile app. This is an area of weakness for the company for me. However, to their credit, they have been responsive over email and have reached out to provide me with post sales support, which has been excellent. Email support can generally be difficult with tech products like this so I hope it’s not something I will need to rely on too often, but in my experience so far they have been able to deal with my issue efficiently and courteously so I am grateful for that.
I would recommend the product to others looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner and, although I have no point of comparison, I think it is well priced for what it does. It’s just a shame it can’t do the stairs!
I want to share my experience of using this product over the last 3-4 weeks to help others.

I bought this as a replacement for a much less smart Eufy robotic vac that had no navigation capability. The ecovacs, by comparison, is incredibly smart and the navigation is unbelievably good; it’s like an indoor GPS. I’ve tested it by hiding it somewhere well away from the charging base and then asking it to go home, and within seconds it had located itself and made a beeline straight for the base in a different room. Cleaning performance is excellent – you can see the methodical lines on the carpet once it’s finished, and no dirt remains. Everything about it is so well designed, including the dust bin which is really easy to empty. Mopping performance with the Ozmo Pro is much better than I expected, and our floors stay clean as I now run it daily instead of just mopping every few weeks. The one disappointment is that the ozmo pro can only use the “disposable” pads, but I put that in quotes as I have successfully washed the disposable pad twice and it hasn’t suffered any performance degradation. It comes with a 10 pack of disposable pads, which should last a while now I know they can be washed. The standard non-motorised mop works acceptably too, but it’s not as good as the ozmo pro. I use it alternately with the ozmo pro and use the reusable mopping pad on it. Good for a quick clean, but not quite as effective as the motorised system. All in all, this is obviously a big investment, but having had a “dumb” smart vac before, I can say it’s well worth it!
I can’t comment on reliability of the machine yet, will keep updated this review.
In the meantime, the vacuum and mop robot machine performs well.
Mopping:
It has 2 attachments for mopping: the regular and the vibrating OZMO Pro (non-removable plate but you can swap clothes). Both do an excellent job for light cleaning, for a deeper cleaning run it multiple times with a thicker cloth. You might get luck with heavier and sticky spills. I would suggest running this on a regular maintenance cleaning every day.
Vacuuming:
Good suction power, 2 side brushes, decent loudness on Standard and quite loud on Ultra setting (significantly increase the TV sound to hear your movies).
Navigation:
AIVI stands for navigation assisted with Artificial and Vision Intelligence. You have your usual top tier lasers to map the area and the camera to identify objects (you need good light for this feature). It can work in a pitch dark area, but not efficient object identification.
In general, the navigation is decent but it does get stuck in a few obvious areas and often is not confident to go and bump the wall and clean that area, sometimes a few patches left untouched. I have another Roborock S5 MAX, and T8 has better navigation, but a few odd cases when you start doubting how smart the T8 is….
App:
It is not bad but definitely behind if compared to Roborock. Would have loved to disable intermediate cleaning when on the move to the area, to get more aggressive against the walls, to be able to select x3 cleaning (currently up to x2 iterations per cleaning) and a few other things.
I had the ozmo 920 previous and that in particular was sent back for various issue’s. I then saw this item and thought I would purchase this model which of course is newer instead.
This has exceeded my expectations as I genuinely thought the recognising of wires and socks etc would just not happen. But it does recognise these items and the vibrating mop is definitely a welcomed edition.
I think all in all I am very happy with this product , except that I wish exovacs would provide washable pads for the ozmo pro vibrating mop as oppose to disposable ones.
I got mine on Amazon prime day so saved 200 pounds. Therefore as much as I have put a three star for value for money, this is more so for people would would purchase this outside prime day and be spending 800+.
All in all this is a great robot. Just need to find out where I can buy the self emptying bin from in the UK.
With the ozmo 920, we would mamually mop twice a week. Now with this we only mop once weekly and use the Ecovacs for 6 days in a week

Great robot vacuum. Really impressed with it’s A.I system. This feels and performs as a premium product should do. It picks up as much dirt as my handheld Dyson. It also came with the new oscillating mop but don’t expect it to clean anything beyond light stains.
Hope that helps
Wish we got one years ago.
This is my 2nd ECOVACS Deebot, first one was just a cheap one to see how these work for us.
This one is absolutely awesome, the things is great, cleans our floor every night, never gets stuck and is so quiet.
Love it.
Great vacuum cleaner, privacy issues are well handled. Brush can tangle from long hair, but it’s much easier to clean than e.g. a Dyson.

Very good helper at home. Vacuum robot perfect suction snd mopping
The app is difficult to navigate and the setup of the device is more complicated than necessary but still very excellent product.
Good on the carpet not as good on washing the kitchen floor.
Can’t wait to see what Ecovacs come up with next!
This is by far the best robo-vac you can buy.
Looks amazing, easy to use, feature rich and even my triplet daughters love it
Is it slightly pricey, yes, but it delivers value that I doubt you will unlikely get anywhere else.

Good customer service.
Get it. Do it. Enjoy!
Really good vacuum on the hardware side – smart and cleans really well.
The software is a little buggy but usable.

Whilst it is good overall it is keep loosing its charging point and stops in the middle of the room giving up
Easy set up.
I did my research for my first robot vacuum, and this did everything I want. No more treding on crumbs
Leaves the floor very clean, better than manual vaccum clean.

Great to watch it cleaning the rooms of my house, very clever device.

A outstanding hoover cleaner which is so fantastic we have called her sally after our cleaner

Glorious Transition from iRobot to Ecovacs
Purchased this fantastic robot vacuum after my previous iRobot Roomba i7 was the most over rated robot vacuum iv owed (iv owed 3, 4 if you count this one) previous was slightly better after iRobot released new designed app but not improved enough especially for the premium price paid (2 previous to that were Eufy Robovac – great units by the way) Anyway back to point or did I mean PAINT!!! The iRobot would dragged itself against skirting leaving black lines on the white finish resulting in damage to newly decorated woodwork as wouldn’t come off fully, it would banged into thing very aggressively and as for avoidance “do you mean smashing into the back of the foot while it’s cleaning.. you little Bar steward ” anyway you get the drift not impressed for a premium model like the iRobot Roomba i7
Enter the Ecovacs DEEBOT OZMO T8 AIVI (bit of a Mouthful on the name there Ecovacs but look at her she’s a beaut ok bit sad now) it’s a different class on its own seriously very gentle with going near things avoidance is amazing it genuinely works…. ok like anything it’s not prefect 100% of the time you might get a very rare incident that it won’t identify the item it’s avoiding and will push it for a brief second before realising stopping along with go round it but it does this in such a soft way to be sure you would never have to worry (for example with a pint glass full beer like with me not a drop spilt ) and 99% of the time it will successfully identify the object and this didn’t arise as it avoids it completely so the back of my foot or stubbed toes are also safe as for the going along Skirtings no black lines, no damage, no for FCUK sake and no banging into things aggressively its smooth and lot quieter, vacuums powerfully and effectively, mapping and navigation is excellent, app is different to the iRobot app but easy to use and find it great, also iv got it linked to both my Alexa my default voice assistant and my google (I only have two as I have a google nest door bell that’s I need the google to make visitor announcements as unavailable though Alexa) but anyway I have the Ecovacs linked with both anyway and it works fantastic and first time every time again unlike the iRobot…. you just simply say “Alexa ask Deebot to clean” or “Alexa ask Deebot to return home” etc also you can once the robot has mapped your home (including multiple floors) name the areas and rooms once this is done you can also say “Alexa ask Deebot to clean Kitchen” or “Alexa ask Deebot to vacuum Living room” etc etc and she will go off and just clean that room before returning home which is one of the main features that’s originally prompted me to buy the iRobot Roomba i7 but honestly guys the Ecovacs is just better at it… as I say the suction is a lot better and powerful when compared also has two side brushes instead of one that’s on iRobot I could go on and on but you get the main drift it’s generally Miles better then any of the units iv owed previously and would HIGHLY recommend… mopping features I can’t compare to iRobot as it’s doesn’t have that but one of my Robovacs did and this is again (only used once so fair) miles better it has a scribbling mop attachment that actually scrubbed clean with an oscillating action as it goes rather then just drag a bit of water about with it so very impressed initially also very clever auto detect carpets so if vacuuming will kick up the power when on it for extra suction and when mopping stops as knows it’s carpets to avoid damaging before resuming mopping once back on hard floor off of carpet and it just works in fact that’s the best way to sum up this review it’s a breath of fresh air it’s does exactly what it says on the tin and “it just works”
Very happy and very impressed certainly worth every penny 5 Stars out of 5

Bought as a gift, for a poorly sister in law,I’ve been sent a short video of it/her in action, and both my brother and sister in law,are very impressed with their
New vacuum cleaner.also I’ve been told it’s quiet, apparently you need to name it,theirs has been christened Dolly, lol,I like other reviewers would also fully

Easy setup, works so fast and the suction is amazing. Is one of the most expensive robots, but I think worth the money (we have nothing to compare).

I absolutely love this. It is worth every penny.

Much better than my previous one. Only down side, comes only with one main brush, my previous had one just for places with pets.

So far i can’t recommend enough.

I want to share my experience of using this product over the last 3-4 weeks to help others.

Got it for 599.95 for Black Friday. I’ve never had a robot vacuum before and this was definitely better than expected (on 2 days of use).
It cleans just as well or even better than we do with an ordinary vacuum.
Only disadvantage is it took a few attempts to map the two floors successfully and can only save a maximum of two floor plans.
But for the price at the time would definitely buy again.
amazing technical software incorporated, blew me away. Nothing negative to add at this stage.
Overall I like this robot, does a very good job.

So far so good, first run… Never had a robot vacuum but it works well in a hard wood floor…
