Wasn’t sure what to expect, but when it was reduced on Amazon Prime Day I took the plunge to order one.
I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve had it a week and I’ve run it every day, for the first few days it filled the collection box each time so it’s shown me how bad my previous vacuum was.
It’s easy to use, easy to clean easy to empty. I’ve connected it to the app on my phone and to my Alexa so it’s also easy to control. It’s also quiet so it can clean the room you’re in and not overpower the TV. My dog is also not bothered by it and she used to run into the garden every time I got out my previous cleaner. Really pleased with it and would recommend.
Only used it once except for the dock plug coming out and it preventing it find the dock it’s been good and easy to set up good suction z and moping
So impressed with this , was quite sceptical about these but as it was on special offer and I’d been given a massive credit on my account I thought I’d get one and see , not disappointed at all and goes over all of my carpets ,hard flooring and the like .
After a little set up and charge and it was off , dog hair not a problem at all , should have bought one years ago
The item got only one brush. In the system should be two brushes at the bottom for cleaning.
This is the second time happening to me.I get the item with one brush.
Please let me know if the two brushes gufy cleaner discontinued please let me know, then I will look for some thing else and return this one. Thanks
Got this as a gift. Wasn’t expecting much from it but was pleasantly surprised. It does it’s job very well and seems to get most of the annoying little bits up from hard or carpeted surfaces.
I love the way it returns to it’s base when battery is flat. Only downside was no instructions but once you download the app it’s fairly easy to use. Had it 5 months and it’s been great. One of it’s benefits is you can shut it in a room and it just cleans. It’s particularly good at going under beds, cupboards and furniture where other vacuum s can’t get to. Highly recommend i
The battery ran out quickly. For example, for cleaning a 90 Sqm flat, it has to charge twice. It can not be cleaned everywhere in one go. It remains small debris. I have cats and the device can’t vacuum the small litter left on the floor by cat paws completely, instead, it spreads them everywhere! The mopping is not very strong as there is no pressure or rotating mop in this device. The stains/spots remain on the floor after mopping. If you have a rug it often stocks in its strings. You have to clear all floors for it otherwise it sucks small items such as logo (toys) and stock in the device! The device confused in front of the mirrored wardrobe:)) so kept banging on the mirror.
I decided to go with the upgraded one as I found this one weak.
Eufy is an amazing bit of kit. Very simple to use. Vacs and mops our hard floors quickly and efficiently. Frees up so much of my time. Love our new cleaning buddy.
It was a gift for my Sister.
She is over the moon with it.
Most importantly her dog wasn’t bothered by it. As it is so quiet.
She loves how it does the hard floors and the rugs.
Well pleased with it.
We’re completely obsessed with this little robot, who started life by washing her mops and drawing a little map of our house and then telling us off for leaving a shoe in the way (after correctly identifying it was a shoe). The AI See technology has been really something else. Really unexpectedly stellar. It was an expensive and considered purchase but it is 100% worth every penny. It cleans itself every 10 minutes and dries itself at 40 degrees, so its hygiene regimen is better than mine. As for the floors, they’re cleaner than they’ve been in ages. We are both terminally lazy people and it feels like this product was made for us.
Very efficient. One run and it’s full. Regular cleaning to keep sensors clean and keeps it efficient. Doesn’t work without internet. Runs for an hour. Timer is great so it cleans the office after work. Keep cables and laces away from the route or it will tangle
Absolutely perfect purchase, I did a lot of research to find a vacuum with a decent mop and this one does an amazing job. The hoover is powerful and picks up all my dogs hair. The app is very useful and great to see where the hoover has been etc, a purchase worth every penny!!
The product needs just the rotary brush fitting and its ready to go. The charging dock takes no more space than a Wi-Fi router. It is a little ‘Dumb’ as its a simple zig zag type hoover. The carpets and floors in the house seem to have cleaned up over the weeks as we use this. Very easy to empty out. I would just give it a quick hoover to keeping its suction up, but that’s just me squeezing everything out of the product. It is quite awesome watching it go around the edge in ‘edge mode’ and pick up all the dust bunnies etc. Always surprising how much it picks every time. Already have recommended this and robot hoovers in general. I would however opt for the laser mapping options if I had to buy again. Also, do not stand around watching it to see how long before it gets that bit of debris you just spotted…can be quite frustrating. But overall your room will be cleaner.
I had if for 2 weeks and so far I’m very pleased with it. Is it perfect? No. But it’s worth the money I paid for it. It was one of the cheaper options with self emptying stations, I considered.
I wish I got it sooner but Some of the reviews stated that it loses connection, getting lost and can’t find it’s way back to the base. We did lost one map but it was due to my husband movin the base. We had no issues after that. It did got lost once when I interrupted it’s cleaning process but after a moment it did find it’s way back to the base.
My advice is to find the place for the base where no one will bump into it and don’t move it unless its really necessary, and don’t interupt the vacuuming proses by adding mop pad unless the unit is back at the charging station. And when the little fella seams lost, give him time, he’ll go in circles for few minutes and find his way home.
The biggest con I see here:
1.Mopping function is very meh. It’s more like wiping than anything else. How good can it clean with a pice of cloth and cold water only? But it’s ok if you have a dog and want to wipe the floors after a rainy walk.
2.before you turn the robot on, make sure all the chargers, lose cables and small objects are off the flor as it can and will ” eat” them.
Now to the pros:
1. It clean effortlessly. You can just send it to work and relax with a cup of coffee
2. The mapping is quite good.
3. It can work for around 1h on one charge, it goes back to charge itself if battery is low and then continue from the place it finished last.
4. It self emptying every 20 minites, unless you set it differently
5. Self cleaning brush. Real godsend if you have a furry friend.
6. You can set invisible walls and no mopping/no go zones.
You’ll still have to use traditional vacuum and mop from time to time to keep the house clean , but this little fella will definitely help you keep it tidy with a busy life.
Quite handy for everyday cleaning. Saves me a lot of time. I still clean the house with a vacuum cleaner once a week to get to the corners and small spaces.
I did not expect much from the price tag compared to other units available as its considerably cheaper than most so far so good it does exactly what it said it would no problem to report very happy with i
day one and loving it so fare. it’s picked up the Christmas tree bits ok and copped well with the rug. although it is a thin rug. be warned it will pick up small Lego bits and wires so tidy them away first! impressed that it just maps the room itself, u don’t have to do anything, just plug and play.
will update when I’ve moved it on to the thick rugs!
My device had issues, but support provided a solution—thank you! I’m fine with the possibility of electric items getting damaged; the crucial part is being in good hands with reputable brands and manufacturers. They were helpful and understanding throughout the process.
The eufy x8 pro robot with ses is the best purchase I have made, I dont know how I managed without a robot hoover, my floor is clean all the time now, and it mops too!!
It saves so much time because I don’t need to hoover anymore.
Couldn’t get it to work with Alexa even though it was linked, but still love it. I just control it with the app on my phone. Yes it does get caught up sometimes, but all in all, really pleased with the performance of this product. It cleans better and battery lasts longer than expected. I would recommend.
Remarkably good, it’s quite thorough and picks up well. I thought it would be a toy, but I have to admit it does the job! Has to be emptied regularly because of the small capacity, but the battery lasts long enough to do a couple of large rooms. Decent value too.
I’m very pleased with our eufy robovac 15c max which we bought in November 2023. It does a good job of vacuuming our mainly wooden floors and also our mats (we don’t have any carpet). It picks up all the dust balls, especially where they gather most under the beds, and everything else. By the way there is no remote control with the model we purchased and I was aware that this particular model is n’t programmable so it’s a question of setting it on its way in the room you want to vacuum and closing the door to prevent it straying into other rooms. You have to think ahead just a little bit prior to vacuuming by moving things out of the way i.e. stools, cables etc but it’s no problem. We’ve had eufy security cameras for a few years so I was totally confident in ordering another eufy product and I can thoroughly recommend the eufy 15c max. I will add that I have not received any payment or other inducement for this review and I have no connection with eufy or the supplier.
I love this so much!! Set it to go off whilst working and floors are almost always dust free.
Does get stuck sometimes on rugs or door mats and will beep its head off.
Beware if you have a doggie as they are known to drag any poop all around the house! Luckily never been in this position.
Wouldn’t say it would hoover carpet at all.
Does pick up a lot of dust so over all great for a quick whip around on laminate and then a full follow around with hoover later.
Just wish we could get spare parts.
Arrived a few days ago. Easy to set up on app. I chose a place for him station and filled the clear. Water tank. Away he went and cleaned the whole house. I had lifted any obstacles which were lying around. He took about an hour. He had been out this morning again doing to same fabulous job. Floors are shining! The dice were getting in his way the first time out as they were inquisitive but today this are ignoring him. He is very courteous and moves out of the way if you happen to be walking past. Love him! No negatives so far.
So I have not had a robot hoover before and I wasn’t sure what to expect. So far it has exceeded all my expectations. Little did I know technology had advanced so far.
This little robot goes all over the house, room to room, avoiding obstacles without issues, going over not so fluffy rugs, carpets and hard flooring all with ease.
Battery life appears good so far, 40 mins with ease. Charging then takes a while but who cares as it has all day after all its hard work.
I was amazed and concerned with how much it picked up after the first hoover, considering the house only had a manual hoover the day before it arrived!
Cleaning it is easy, I wasn’t aware that filters and brushes would need replacing every so often. It advises every 2 months which will cost around 20 but it will depend on how much you use it I guess. Time will tell but this cost will add up.
I also got the breakdown cover for 4 years, I thought worth it for 40.
No remote came with. But I’m not bothered as my app seems to work okay and I can do all from this. Also I now have it synced to alexa, so a simple request to her and the robot hoover starts and from alexa you can call it back to base too. This amazes me still.
All in all simply superb, 5 stars altho I would probably give 4 and a half for the missing remote and rather costly addition of purchasing filters and brush heads every few months.
I have a dog.
A little white dog who loves to roll all over my carpets and shed his little white hairs EVERYWHERE.
I HATE hoovering. I have a henry Hoover who is a cool little dude who does a great job, but after working all day the last thing I want to do is Hoover. Even on my days off. It’s a chore that I hate doing.
So here I was on a Friday night watching a video on YouTube when the presenter decided it was time to plug their sponsor – eufy and did a short advertisement on the eufy x8 pro.
I was like wow I need that in my life!!
I went straight to Amazon to see if they sold it. They did, for 599!
I went down the rabbit hole of watching and reading as many reviews as I could find to decide if I wanted to spend/invest/blow that kind of money on something that was a major want and not a need. I already have a vacuum cleaner after all.
Every review I found had people raving about this robot vacum and how great it was for pet owners.
I pondered it for a bit. Then noticed that Amazon had a 60 coupon and I also had some money left on an Amazon gift card that I had not used which brought the price down to 500. It was still a lot of money but I decided to buy it, try it and if I had buyers remorse or it wasn’t worth the money then I’d return it and get my money back.
I bought it and paid for it, waved goodbye to the money leaving my savings account. Then waited in anticipation.
So today Ruthy the Eufy was delivered.
I set her up which was so simple and quick. Updated the FW which again was a tap of a button on the screen.
Then I sent her out on a tour of her new home.
I’ve got to say I’m majorly impressed with this little thing. Not as noisy as I thought it would be even on max power. So that a plus. I just left her to it and she had a lovely time going round my lounge and dining room finding lots of things to eat.
She then came back home and emptied herself and detangled her brush bar.
Shes having a sleep now settling into her new place.
I think she can stay. She’s done good. And my dog hasn’t tried to eat her like he does whenever Henry comes out to play.
Early impressions 10/10 from me.
Before I start my review I would like to say its unfortunate that we are spoilt for choices and I have to return this robot. Its a great Robot for this price range, but there was just a better alternative available.
Things which I liked:
– Vaccuming was great. It picked up nails, small screws, cereal, dust all with ease even in mid level settings.
– App and features are easy to use.
– The mopping is good but there are flaws which the youtube tests dont show unfortunately – more on that later.
– Mop + Vaccum really works without causing dirt to rubbed along everywhere.
– Obstruction avoidance is superb.
– Auto mop lifts for carpet is a nice feature and avoids having to mop and vaccum seperately.
The things I dont like:
– So I have a 1100 sq ft ground floor which makes the lack of a water jug inside the robot impractical. The robot goes every 15 mins to mop the brushes and during this process runs out of battery. In medium vaccum settings, vaccum is not able to vaccum and mop by house in 1 charge. Also I do notice that towards end of 15 mins mopping performance is not as good as mop is not wet.
– The robot is a bit tall so it doesnt go underneath my sofa which has a good 15 cm depth. Most of the other ones do.
– It can climb only low to medium pile carpets. I have a sheep wool shrug and it doesnt clean around it.
– Minor one and this is an issue with all robots is that to clean multiple floors you have to carry heavy station with you.
The X1 omni is the same price and solves most of the problems above. But overall Eufy one is a great option. But at this price point it has a few flaws.
My home is by no means made up of square empty rooms, but smallish rooms with furniture taking up every spare bit of non-walkinh space, and houses two long haired dogs. I seem to be constantly buying new hoovers in a desperate search to keep the dog hair, dust and grit down. I’d love to be able to reliably walk barefoot over my hardwood floors but they always seemed to be covered in dog hair. I’ve tried a cheap robot cleaner in the past but it just couldn’t cope with the number of obstacles everywhere. The eufy has no problems however and has already vacuumed under my bed twice. It gets into surprisingly tight spaces and manages the number of obstacles and dog beds everywhere without any fuss. Absolutely brilliant, very happy I bought yet another hoover!
I chose this device because I don’t have a smart phone, and an external review indicated this unit came with its own remote. As the photo on Amazon suggests. After a lot of support from eufy – who were great – I have managed to link it with my iPad. And it works as described. The main advantage for me is I can now increase the suction power, which has helped a lot.
For anyone with a smart phone, it would probably get five stars.
As a robotist, I thought – how could you go wrong with the iRobot robovac models?
But then I saw eufy and took a long hard look at the various offerings – and back FOUR years ago, I decided to buy this device.
SITUATION:
I have a 900+ sq.ft. flat with large windows and lots of particulate matter coming in from the outside.
So I needed a vacuum which could:
1. Capture all of the hair and dust around (long hair from myself and others)
2. Keep working for over a week so I would clean out the bin when needed
3. Handle the different rooms it would be traveling in (2 bed rooms, a bath and the main areas)
4. Be quiet when it ran during the early morning
PROS / CONS
Looking at the different eufy Designs along with other players, here are the things that made me choose and use the eufy 15C MAX:
1. Suction Power – at 2000pa, the 15C MAX is one of the strongest suction services out there. A different in 500 may not seem like much, but when on a towel or carpet, it comes in handy.
2. Cleaning brushes/tools – this device has two spinners and one rotary brush which drives material into the trash bin, but the spinners have interesting behaviours that make them “okay”. Every so often, one of them stops spinning, but it may be part of the system itself.
3. Battery life – the 15C MAX is a beast and can handle the full flat with one charge and then some.
4. Bin Capacity – the 15C MAX is perfect with the size of the trash bin (600mL) and makes cleaning it out easy.
5. App / Scheduling Cleans – if not for the app, this 15C MAX would be annoying since I would have to MANUALLY control it (as I did with my first robovac). But with the app, it was a dawdle and I simply clean it out once a week.
6. Remote control – a silly addition, but heck – some people like having ANOTHER controller in their hands to control it when it is going at the wrong time.
7. Auto charge – seems to work pretty darn well – except when it catches my trainer’s laces or the fan’s power cord.
8 . Smart home integration – Alexa/Google – have it connected to my Google service but rarely use it, but it does work well when I do.
Things that are a bit annoying about it (and likely all all robocvacs):
1. Mapping service – with no mapping service, this thing just bounces around from place to place. And, it shows when you hear it doing the bouncing.
2. Hybrid (mopping) – with laminate flooring, you’d think the mopping function would be an important feature. But research shows that the mopping is almost like having the robovac scoot its butt along the floor with a wet handkerchief – which will not do a proper mopping and the 15C MAX just does not do.
SUMMARY
After four years (and going) I am still VERY happy with my eufy 15C MAX purchase – whilst I keep looking for something that would convince me otherwise to get a better offering.
Maybe this year I’ll get the X8 during Prime Day Sale — with the LIDAR mapping — but I can not get myself over the line to purchase the X8 Hybrid since the mop cleaning looks almost disappointing.
Saving time and nugging of hoovering in my house. It’s picks up lot of dust and hair. Carpet fills good on bare feet.
I’ve had this vacuum for 3-4 months. Initially I was dubious as to its cleaning power as this is my first Robovac. However, although this is a lower end/priced model, it vacuums extremely well, picking up much more than you’d expect. I have animals in the household and use this twice a week, without using the remote/app etc (I like simple gadgets), although you can. Small cables – iPhone charger or headphones etc, you do need to pick up but thicker ones like extension leads you don’t. It transfers from hard floor to carpet well, including any mats or rugs – with ease. It comes with a v. long magnetic strip (cut length for use) and stickers to stick to the floor, for any areas you don’t wish it to visit – which I’ve used near puppy pads. I have plenty left over to renew as needed. It runs for c. 60-90 mins and easily cleans all downstairs rooms at once, in a reasonably large house. It also comes with spare brushes/filter, which again, I’m yet to use. This vacuum has saved me time/effort – just turn it on and let it go. It’s also quiet. The only area it doesn’t like is any area with direct sunlight (parts of tiled conservatory floor – depending on time of day) however this doesn’t cause huge issues. It covers the floor randomly rather than straight lines but if you just leave it running, it more than adequately does the job and covers everywhere, including edges/under furniture. This is very low maintenance, in my experience and a great addition to my household.
I read so many reviews from new owners when I bought this that I decided to wait for a year before making my mind up. This isn’t the only hoover we have in our house – it’s one of 4. But it’s by far the most used!
The app is a bit fiddly and has lost / forgotten the room on occasion and ‘Robby’ as he’s named has eaten a few shoe laces and dragged them around the house but aside from this, it’s been a genuine game changer.
The hoover has a load of great settings from auto clean through to a preset day / time when it tootles off automatically. I switch it on from my phone most days after taking the kids to school and it handles the mix of hard floors and carpet with ease. The mop facility is fairly decent for a light and regular clean but doesn’t replace a regular deep clean.
Everything on the hoover has been kept clean and well services and it’s slotted into our cleaning routine really well, saving me a lot of time.
Bit difficult to set up also to use as basically any cables you might have hanging loose you must lift up out the way.
For the price compared to others it’s good. definitely wouldn’t replace a normal hoover, but handy to have. Perhaps wouldn’t pay the money for it again though.
Gadgets to make our lives easier come and go, once used a few times it becomes not the device you hoped it might be – and I thought this might go the same way. But no, it’s great. It not that it does anything better than a conventional vacuum cleaner, it’s dust compartment is small and it will miss areas. But it’s strength is it runs around for an hour at a time, twice a day, every day and that makes it really effective. It also instills a discipline to keep floors clear and accessible. Well worth buying, although I’ve not bothered with the wi-fi functio
This cleaner is set up and ready to go in minutes. The cleaner does a great job on all surfaces and appears to accurately map of variety of rooms. I have a large property with mixed flooring and I do not have to change settings at all during the cleaning process. The application provides a host of features although access if you are visually impaired is somewhat challenging as many controls in the application have not been properly labelled and they should be addressed. I have found that higher suction modes give improved results on carpet, although the automatic variable mode is reasonable. Cleaning and emptying the machine is very straightforward, although the brush bar feels rather delicate as you insert it back into the machine. It is essential to clean the sensors with a dry cloth so that the machine performs accurately and I would advise doing this every few days.
Like many other people’s reviews, I have looked at these robot vacs for a long time and I am in full agreement with them in that I wish I had bought it sooner.
Setting up the wifi was a tad tricky as I had to go into the router hub manager to get the 5ghz working. Other than that it was easy. I set ‘Bob’ off every morning and he bounces around for approx 90 mins and then takes himself home to charge. You have to watch it the first time to ensure that any issues are sorted with the magnetic strips to stop him going to a certain area or falling down stairs etc.
I chose to get the 30c max after reading the reviews and it is amazing how much hair and stuff it picks up and how well it compacts it down into such a little area. I had to empty the bin after every session at the beginning but now it is after every 2 or 3 sessions and we have a dog who moults quite a bit. Our dog who does not like brooms or loud noises stays lying on the floor until Bob nudges him and then he walks off, so no problem. It is a joy to come downstairs every morning to find it lovely and clean. I would say without hesitation that this is the best bit of tech I have got in a long time and I seem to get a fair few new toys.
I have had this for a week now, using it every day.
It is amazingly thorough. I was expecting it to bounce off furniture but it has its own logic. If you set it to do edges, it is really good at it. It cleans for about an hour – 100 minutes must be on a hard floor.
Pros. The floor has never looked cleaner. And the kids are actually picking up their stuff because they understand that the robot cannot operate if they drop stuff on the floor – no more nagging, it’s fantastic.
Cons. If you have lots of rugs, I wouldn’t bother – we tried tucking the tassels underneath but just getting up and down off the rugs made the brushes fall off.. We got rid of the rugs and it looks better!
You will need to empty and clean it each time (I don’t mind at all it’s only 2 minutes).
Otherwise I really cannot think of any.
Tips.
Shut the machine in one room after another, if you can. You get better results.
For the first few times, don’t leave it unattended – you’ll see the trouble spots and fix them.
Clean the sensors when it says.
Don’t wash the filter – use a hairdryer to blow the dust out of the window. So satisfying!
I have been so impressed with this machine and I will update this review in due course hoping that I am still this impressed.
I was so undecided on getting one! Hours of reading up on reviews.. what model.. does it do this? Does it do that?
I live alone, flat, carpets, rugs and hard floors. Quick delivery, great packaging. Pretty much plug and play. Basic set up. Alexa paired with zero issues although it doesn’t really need it as the App just does everything, unless you really want to say “robovac (or what ever you call it) start cleaning”
The app sets schedules, which is a good idea. 8am. Robovac zooms off bumping from wall to object to wall. Remember this model has no Mapping but for its price range, power, app, speed settings and other functions, if your not sure it’s a good start model. It just means without mapping it will just bump around for its cleaning time and go home. Not really a problem in my circumstance.
The first few runs it was full up with dust, pet hair etc. But that’s due to having a Miele vacuum that can’t get to some places robovac can. So I was impressed.
The box came with spare brushes, filters and the app also takes you to a page to order spares when you need / recommends when to buy them and even a picture guide to help you install new bits!
The only cons ..
Robovac does tend to get stuck on a few bits , I was aware of the reviews anyway but that’s due to .. it’s not small enough to fit under an object .. it will try but then I just put something in the way so it won’t go there again. Simple fix really.
I work full time. Hardly here at times. Either waking up to a nice clean carpet or knowing I don’t have to worry about getting a big Miele out if I just want to chill . I’ll still use my main vacuum obviously but this really surprised me in keeping up a little clean in-between cleans!
I don’t regret this purchase, maybe in the future I will look at a “mapping” model. But all that remains now .. what to call it for Alexa. RDD2
Overall I’m very happy with it and the carpet has never looked so good! It does a good job….eventually!
If you sit watching it you’ll get frustrated at the bits it misses, but it will eventually cover that area as long as it can be done within its 40 minute window on full power. Its method is rather random as it bounces between obstacles using its sensors meaning it can simple turn around and go back where it just came from! Ours is the 15c so it has more suction and does a good job of picking everything up on full power, on the lower power settings it’s not much good. The filter needs cleaning after each session or two and the dirt it manages to find is quite surprising. Unfortunately, this model cannot respond to the edge strips you can buy to prevent it going places, so instead you have to watch it the first few times and block it physically from reaching certain areas, one example is our tv stand which it’s small enough to fit under but then gets subsequently stuck behind. It will beep and warn you in the app when it has a problem. It also struggles with dining room table and chairs, but gets out eventually. The only other issue is returning back to its base, it cannot seem to do this if it’s in another room. A few times we’ve found it sat in the corner of a room out of battery because it couldn’t find home. Overall it’s a great piece of kit and makes a difference to the carpet for sure, the cat hates it though!
I am so glad I bought the eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C MAX Robot Vacuum Cleaner! It is the perfect way to keep my home clean without having to lift a finger. The vacuum cleaner is very easy to use. I simply set it up in my home and let it do its thing. It cleans my floors thoroughly and efficiently, and it even picks up pet hair! The vacuum cleaner is also very quiet, so I can run it while I am working or sleeping without being disturbed. I would highly recommend the eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C MAX Robot Vacuum Cleaner to anyone who wants a clean home without the hassle.

Overall, I am very happy with the eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C MAX Robot Vacuum Cleaner. It is a great way to keep my home clean without having to lift a finger. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable and affordable robot vacuum cleaner.
We’ve only been using this for a week, but can’t fault the performance so far.
The initial mapping was straightforward, although I didn’t let it go back to the charging dock, so the first attempt didn’t save. I’ve mapped downstairs and upstairs, without having to move the charging dock, which is really useful . The maps are fairly easy to edit once you get used to the app. It’s worth noting that if you clean one room from the master map, but leave the door closed it will save an imaginary wall and won’t allow the vacuum out of the room later – this can be fixed by re cleaning that room with the door open.
We have a mixture of hard floors, rugs and carpets and the X8 performs well on all of them – I like the fact that it automatically increases power when it senses a carpet or door mat.
It performs surprisingly well around furniture, especially where it’s a bit cluttered (dining table and chairs etc.), and it also corrects itself if items are in a different place to the original scan.
I generally run it in the lowest power setting and still get good results, I think the fact that it covers every part of the floor gives you a better clean than a manual vacuum.
Delighted with this machine which I purchased while recovering from major surgery. We have two dogs who generate a huge amount of pet hair – this machine picks up a full dust collector amount of this every morning. I set it for 7.30am each morning and it finishes most rooms in our largely hard floored bungalow and returns to base by 9am. I gave one less than five stars because I get slightly frustrated by its random approach to room cleaning and I sometimes close it in a room to ensure it covers the whole floor – however for the money it is excellent value and I may well invest in a more expensive programmable machine at a later date. Meanwhile a big bonus with this model is its ability to get under beds and cupboards to do a thorough clean. I do need to empty dust collector each day and rinse it and the filter with cold water and check rolling brushes but this involves minimal effort compared to traditional vacuuming and also proves how effective it’s cleaning power is. I still need to do an occasional traditional vacuum to cover all corners but otherwise I feel our house has never been cleaner.
Eufus is a great addition to the family! This thing really sucks — in a good way of course! He runs around the house like an excited little puppy cleaning every possible nook and cranny and doing it pretty well. The fact that you can set him off whilst you’re out of the house to do his stuff is fabulous — you can set schedules to clean morning and night if you desire. Great fun little device and hope he lasts! The only downside is that if you want it to clean more than one floor, you have to do an additional map (so that is easy enough) and either get a second charging base or carry the base and Vac to the next floor — he hasn’t quite mastered stairs yet! I would highly recommend purchasing this if you want a lovely clean home. However, I would say that this would have to be a secondary device because he doesn’t do everything!
I have been aware of these products for many years, but not weakened and purchased one, I was sceptical about how much dust they hold because they are relatively small. My daughter has been using one for many years so I took the plunge. I started with a dumb one (one that worked its way around the room randomly), then opted for a smart one. The Smart version with LIDAR is definitely the one to choose if you have not got a square room. This version will map the room and learn where obstacles are located. I would buy another one of these products, if I needed one.
Some things to note:
You do have to empty it after each use, it does have a small capacity.
You may need another vacuum cleaner to suck out the dust in the air filter, that worked for me rather than washing it regularly, they do provide two filters though.
You can train it to learn a room, and then add keep out areas. It can store multiple rooms, you just select the one it is in before you start it.
It will work around the edge of the area first and then cover the rest of the room. Typically 20 mins to do a lounge and dining room (with obstacles).
It picks up a surprising amount of dust and debris even when you use it daily and consider your floor was clean.
It picks up lots of hairs from a pet.
While I have trained it for two rooms, it does sometimes forget where it is and go off randomly. I have not figured out why, but for this reason alone I would not want it to be vacuuming a room while I am not around in the house. This occurs around 1 in 7 times, and may be because I move it between rooms.
Can I live without it – No, it gets a boring chore done very efficiently, and once you set it off and are confident it has figured out where it is in the room you can leave it to do it’s thing.
The app is ok, but a bit clunky to use. You can remotely check on where it is located and what it is doing.
It can negotiate hard floor to carpet boundaries.
There is a setting where it will automatically adjust the suction power depending on what it is vacuuming.
I started with a kitchen and garden room open plan area with few obstacles and a hard floor, it coped well with that and then moved to a more complex area with keep out zones programmed in.
I think compared to me vacuuming an area, I would be more confident in this product covering everywhere than me doing it by hand.
Great mate love him just wish he could do the stairs saving me money on a cleaner and he even puts himself to bed
Didn’t realise it would make my life easier. It really does clean the floors and helps with the carpet as well. I should have gotten one years ago. Also got it on Black Friday so even better.
This is just set on a timer and clears up daily. We have hard floors, Needs emptying every couple of days, no big problem. Surprising how much it picks up, and how clean the floor is. Well worth it, easy win.
I was amazed at how much it actually picked up (see pics)
I have only used it 3 times so far & on its last (unsupervised) mission it had a little accident & downloaded some of its contents on its return to base (bin was not overly full)
I am so glad I bought this Hoover. It’s fantastic. It’s slightly loud but it is worth it. Set timings for it on my phone
What a wonderful household companion. Blown away by his work ethic and attention to detail. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a Robovac could find so much to pick up. I should probably earn commission from Anker/Eufy for the amount of these that have been sold since I purchased ‘Rob’
Overall its a great hoover, we recently got 4 cats and the hair was everywhere, having to hoover myself twice a day with the cats hair, on top of everything else it just made sense to get one! It sets off at a scheduled time of 0930 and runs for just over an hr with boostIQ enabled, does the job amazingly, it runs in the hall, dining room, kitchen and living room and even gets under the sofas which is a bonus. The 1 downside I can see after the short time I’ve had it is the lack of ability to create multiple schedules in a day, the Eufy Home app only let’s you set a start time once a day, and a schedule can’t be created in the alexa app, it only supports voice commands which is a bit disappointing, some may say it’s the hight of laziness but we are a busy family and having that level of automation would just top off the product.
Having a health condition, hoovering had become exhausting, so this is just brilliant and not a luxury!
Obviously, it’s not as ‘thorough’ as a human being, but it really hoovers very well, and then I can simply mop after, which is much easier to do on a regular basis now as I still have energy left.
Very easy to clean / use + it’s light to carry.
No idea how much energy it consumes, but I use it once a week, and until now, I’ve never noticed an increase in electricity.
This one which has no mapping moves around the room in very random ways, it’s rather amusing + looks like a toddler that walks in one direction and suddenly sees something better somewhere else!
There is an option to do the corners only + the remote control is very good.
Great suction, great overall clean. I called mine bob and does a great job
I bought this after seeing a review on C5’s Gadget Show, so its worth searching for that review on line. It arrived on time, and took about 3 hours to fully charge up before use. Its very effective at cleaning, particularly those difficult to access areas beneath beds and other furniture. Its surprisingly good at navigating its way round the room, between table legs etc. etc. So far has only got stuck once (it managed to jump up on to the base of a uplighter lamp). It basically follows a random path round the room, so you need to leave it running for tens of minutes to cover all of a room (not a problem given its long battery life). Good value at this price, given its performance and battery duration.
Two gripes so far – connecting to the App on my phone was a real faff. My best guess is that this is because it only uses WPA2 for Wi-Fi security, and most modern routers will default to WPA3. I eventually got it to connect to my Router’s guest network which runs at a lower security level, so might be worth trying that (lots of similar issues raised when I searched online, but no solutions found). Seems a bit pointless anyway, not sure that I trust this to run when I’m not around to supervise it. Might be worth buying a Eufy version without WiFi connectivity if its cheaper. I don’t bother with Alexa, so ignore the score (only put there because Amazon mandated it).
Another one is that the rotating brushes on the front have fallen off a few times; seems to happen in rooms with rugs so I assume that a brush gets stuck underneath the rug and pulled away. Worth removing rugs before cleaning a room, but then how do you clean the rug?
Product suggestion – if the manufacture is reading this, I would gladly buy a miniature version to get into the small nooks and crannies (e.g. behind the toilet) where this is too large to fit.
I found it a bit tricky to get the app to connect to my phone but that’s just me. It’s a lot quieter than the previous one we had, it has good suction and the dog doesn’t mind it at all
I bought this when we moved house as they had one when we viewed. I was very sceptical but the house downstairs – all one level – mostly wooden floors seemed like a good candidate.
Unboxing it and the set up and you can not fail to be impressed by the quality of the product. I’ll certainly be looking at other eufy products in future.
It does not replace doing a conventional vacuuming but it does a much better than expected clean and seems to get around most of the downstairs. It runs for about 70mins for us before heading home (under a raised sofa for us) to charge. It isn’t too noisy – you get used to it.
Get rid of trailing wires and the such as it will try to eat them. It will get stuck – there are a few places where we have had to block off to keep it out. If you want it to work for you, then you need to let it do it’s job. We have to empty and clean every other day. Filter gets dirty quickly – but it comes with 2.
We don’t have Alexa, have never touched the remote, just use the app and run on auto. Have no need as yet to try the other settings.
Comes with some spares and have noticed that purchasing replacement parts is not expensive.
Overall, impressed by the quality of the product and it really does what it says it does. Having tried now I would buy again and I would start with Eufy.
It was fairly easy to set up, link to Alexa, rename, do a scheduled vacuum. We only have hard floors and it works fantastically but it seemed to struggle a bit on the bath mat. So unsure it would be suitable for carpeted rooms. Only downside is over a period of time you do notice the corners of rooms have been missed where the brushes can’t reach. But easy enough to sort that out especially when i no longer have the chore of hoovering! Easy to use and change settings on the app or with the remote. Compact charging dock and though it recommends leaving lots of space around it, it manages to find its way back with minimal problems. Holds a lot in the dust compartment, I empty every 2 days but could probably leave it 4 days. Comes with a tool to clean out the filter and spare brushes and filter. I find the remote quite hard to use as there seems to be a slight delay in the control and the robot, but I rarely use that so no biggie. Really good value especially on offer at 150.
I bought this robot vacuum as it was one of the best sellers on Amazon. I’m really pleased with it. The app lets you create a schedule and I have it vacuum for about an hour every morning. It’s a little loud (as you would expect from a vacuum) so you probably wouldn’t want to set it to vacuum during the night.
My hard floor used to attract a lot of dust and now there is none. The brushes come out at the side and manage to vacuum things right at the edge of everything (furniture, skirting boards etc) which is great. I was a bit worried that the bounce method of navigating would miss things, but as it’s on for about an hour each day it tends to get everything eventually.
I was also worried that it might use lots of electric, but I checked the energy consumption using my Tapo plug and found it’s using hardly any (approx 2 kWh per month, with an hour every weekday of usage), so that’s a great bonus.
This is my second Eufy product now (the other being a smart scale) and I’m really happy with both.
Excellent great job gets in all corners, suction power full
Will not substitute for a good vacuum but great at edges and under cabinets which are hard to reach. Once organised ( ie wires out of the way)you can leave the vac to get on with its job. Good on hard floors and carpets. Very pleased.
I don’t know how I lived without this little helper..
I truly love it. I had my reservations about buying this..however I would recommend this, very good suction and pretty quiet.
After using this in a house with a dog that sheds a lot for 6 months or so I can definitely recommend this robovac. Don’t expect it to clean as thoroughly as a full size vacuum, but it will absolutely get all the dirt and dust off hard floors plus refresh carpets. We send it around pretty much every evening when we all go upstairs and it means that the floor doesn’t get covered in dog hair tumbleweeds and dirt/sand.
We really noticed how good of a job it does when we had to do without it for a couple of weeks when one of the wheel motors failed. We noticed how much more dirt and dust there was in the house within a day or two and, shock horror, had to result to lugging the full size vacuum around the house more frequently. I’m pleased to say that Eufy took care of us and were able to send out a replacement wheel assembly to repair the robovac, and it is back to its original performance. I have to say that I appreciate companies that support repairing products rather than just replacing them, as it is so much less wasteful!
All in all, don’t expect it to work absolute wonders but it does a solid job, and I have been pleased with the after sales support from the seller.
All in all, this is a very capabale robot vacuum, it’s very quiet and good in cleaning hard floors. There are 3 things that I found to be its downfalls:
1. no room mapping – you can’t see on your phone where it already cleaned and where it didn’t.
2. no multiple schedules – you can schedule it to go onoff only one time during the day.
3. no virtual boundaries – you can’t set an area where it can’t go.
other than that, it’s a good 1st robot, the next one we get will have a Laser room mapping ability.
Bought this to replace a moosoo which was shocking from the begining and customer services was appalling, so decided to go for this one , its brilliant and picks a lot up ( empty after every use ) just set it going and you’re away, even my large dog doesnt bother about it and she attacks the dyson on sight and with my spinal condition I struggle to push the dyson , so this has been a godsend ,it doesnt make much noise and does a thorough job , I love it !!! Would highly recommend .
This vacuum is extremely powerful for the size. It was able to pull out carpet fibers from a 23 year old carpet that has seen daily use.
It does tend to get tangled and stuck quite a bit. Although it says to avoid wires etc, this is the real world and there are wires everywhere.
The vacuum also loves to eat shoelaces and strings which can be very annoying when you leave it to do its thing and come back to the vacuum stuck.
IT also tends to get itself wedged under radiators and appliances that are just taller than the vacuum itself.
I am one of many most likely who do not like hoovering on the regular, so I snapped this up on a deal and saw good reviews and thought why not. I had been on the search for a Robot Vacuum for quite some time and most were expensive and I was not willing to pay the price for.
Setup was easy-ish. The charging station etc was easy enough and putting it on with it charging (although it did have a mad 5 minutes). The only part of the setup which was slightly irritating was connecting to the WiFi, I have an iPhone and when I connected it didn’t act like your typical AP mode and stated no internet, so when you’d go back into the app, it would do nothing. Thankfully it was just a game of patience and after waiting a little while I managed to get it working.
It charged quite quickly and once it was fully charged I sent it on it’s first clean which it’s currently still going. It’s a little dozy currently in terms of direction and had a bit of a fight with one of my lamps, but other than that it’s got around downstairs fine! Really happy with the purchase currently.
I’ve stuck eyes on her, of course, but who wouldn’t 🙂
I set her off in a room and come back later when the carpet/floor is done. Marvelous! She doesn’t fall down the stairs when she’s doing the landing. Instead, she turns away when she detects the sudden space underneath her at the top of the stairs. If she gets stuck, as can happen if there’s a space she can start to get under, she texts me to tell me that she is stuck. If her underneath sensors (for spotting the top of the stairs) get dusty, she texts me to tell me that too. It’s a marvelous piece of equipment.
I have a powerful Dyson, and a once over with that from time to time, and Eufy doing all the cleaning in between, is my way of keeping my floors clean.
TIP:
Someone mentioned the probable need to change the brushes every 6 months or so because they get to curve. Get more life out of the brushes by swapping the round from time to time, so that they curve the other way for a while.
I had a good year with this product and bang one one day over the warrenty expiration a loud noise started emitting. It turned out that I needed a new roller as the existing part has worn. The customer care was helpful and knowledgeable for AI. I would advise anyone who buys this to set a diary note for 11 months to take it apart and check all your parts for wear.
Product wise it’s been really good and it has changed how I vaccum my home. Essentially clear away everything on floors and let it work away while you work etc. You will learn where it is going to get stuck and block it from happening again. I bought the magnet strips but they were a waste of time as the Eufy just went over them. All in all a powerful tool for a family home with. 2 long haired girls and no pets
I’m lazy so figured I’d embrace this fact and get a robotic vacuum to save me doing a job.
I was a bit sceptical at first about how powerful it would be and if it would do a good job but I was wrong to be!
The suction power is great. More than adequately cleans my carpet and hard floors with ease. I have mine set to automatically vacuum 3 times a week and I only have to empty it once a week, if that.
It can get itself stuck, but it rarely does and considering it does such a good job on the floors that’s outweighed.
Would 100% recommend as a good first robotic vacuum. I would also recommend getting one with the mapping technology though for larger homes.
I can’t believe how much dust this thing picks up. I suppose if you set it going it probably does much more hoovering than anyone would do manually. We have a good sized kitchen dinner with a hard floor and I put it on every day. Works equally well in the carpeted room. You just have to make sure you don’t leave anything around it can eat, like cables. Although if it get stuck you get an alert on your phone as well as beeping. You can start it cleaning with Alexa too but I just use the remote. We’ve had it a few months now and it has been perfect.
I had thought about getting one of these for ages but seemed a luxury and frivolous, how wrong was I! This in fact is an essential especially when you have two dogs that shed constantly, this amazing little vac ( I have named her Vera) gets to work every morning and trundles around for an hour and a half sucking up the rogue dog hairs, dust and dirt. It has a handy schedule so you don’t even have to remember to switch it on then it takes itself home to recharge when the battery runs low. I got this in the Black Friday sale for about 130 and it was worth every penny. I would recommend.
Firstly would like to say we’ve found this to be an excellent hoover. It does as commands, eventually fills every corner and is really good at picking up the dog hair. The additional sweeping brushes mean that no dust collects in the corners or along the walls.
It suits a lifestyle like ours in a 3 person, 2 dog household as we all work shifts and all share the household responsibilities. This takes one chore away from us all meaning we can spend our time doing other things in the house.
The dogs are completely fine with it meaning we can leave this on while we go to work and our work patterns are such that one of us will be home shortly after to switch it off again if it hasn’t already gone back to its docking station.
The only reason really I gave this a 4 star was due to personal pet peaves. Firstly I think it’s waste storage area is a little too limited for a house like ours, especially with the amount of dog hair. Human hair does get tangled in its rotary brush which often tightens the bristles down meaning they don’t actually make contact with the floor, leaving only the suction of the hoover to disturb the dust. This all means the device needs a fair bit of tlc to keep running at its best – be prepared to empty after every use and use scissors to try and cut through the tightly wound hair on its brush.
Also as you can see in the video we have a big rug in the living room, the hoover itself works perfectly on both the rug and the hard floor, but the additional brushes that you clip at the front which sweep dirt centrally do not cope well with the step up onto the rug. Sometimes it works fine but sometimes the brushes get caught beneath the rug as the hoover drives over it and eventually the brushes unclip themselves. It just means we need to occasionally roll up the rug to let it do a hard floor only sweep which gets annoying.
Other than that we all good Eufy.
Very quick and easy to set up for your average Joe, within 10-15 minutes it can be off on its travels.
I was a bit reluctant to believe how well it would pick up but the suction is good and picks up almost anything. It’s no substitute for a thorough hoover once a week with a hand held hoover but works a treat if you let it do it’s thing once a day for an hour or so. You will be surprised how much fine grains of dirt/sand etc it picks up from the hard floors (we don’t have pets).
Not timed it but a full charge will get you around 1.5 hours hoovering on hard floors (not tried on carpets).
Word of warning, don’t let it go near the wires on appliances/lamps etc or rugs (or Xmas decorations), it’s very quick to get tangled up and can take some time to sort it out!
It can be a bit frustrating watching it hoover the same areas when you want it to do a different part of the room but does usually get there in the end. To avoid this you would need to spend more and get one that maps the rooms in your house but I’m not sure it’s necessary.
The remote is simple to use and works well as does the app where you can set the schedule for it to come on each day very easily.
Not tried the Alexa integration yet.
On the whole very good and worth the money.
Things I like
– Surprisingly good suction considering it’s just a small hoover
– It might have a small dust compartment but it’s fine for light use. Never really presents much of an issue since it just stops sucking up crap if it’s too full!
– Good cleaning tool (to remove tangles and dirt from the machine) and remote that comes with the device. App is decent too.
– Definitely keeps on top of the day-to-day hoovering and reduces allergens in the home
– Low so gets under quite a lot of tricky areas like cupboards and low beds.
Things that could be better
– It’s not a smart hoover that you can give directions to in terms of no-go areas and priority areas. It literally just goes around at random. I knew this when I bought it and I thought I’d be okay with it but actually it’s REALLY irritating when you have an area of the house that needs a bit more attention and the hoover decides that it just wants to go and do a different area that’s relatively clean and it just hangs around there for far too long. The hoover has an annoying knack for being EXACTLY where you don’t want it to be at any given time. For that reason, it needs babysitting a lot. I’m not deducting points for that since it never claims to be as smart as higher end models but I also think it needs to be taken into consideration if you DO want to purchase this.
– Sort of following on from the above point here but this appliance DESPERATELY needs better object detection facilities. I get that it’s not smart per se but it also shouldn’t be completely dumb. Tasseled rugs or throws? Forget it. The side brushes will whip those tassels right up. It’s almost inevitable – I don’t think there’s a single run it’s done where it hasn’t got tangled unless I’m babysitting it and manually guiding it away with the remote or app. Once it grabs a tassel, it just keep twisting and twisting until the tassel is tied into an unbelievably tight knot around the brush; only THEN the hoover decides to stop and start beeping. The solution for this would be to have an adjustable setting that can stop the brushes from spinning if they start detecting a bit too much resistance/tug on the brushes. Alternatively, you can do what I’ve done and just take the side brushes off but then the cleaning is less effective soyou pay in other ways. Those side brushes occasionally even tangle in medium pile rugs though that’s quite rare.
– The object detection from a movement perspective is also quite rudimentary. Plastic bumpers need to physically hit something before it decides it needs to go a different direction. Got a low fireplace hearth? Probably won’t pick up on that so it will just keep trying to mount the bloody hearth. Same for smaller pet bowls like our cats’. The hoover basically looks like it’s trying to mate with food/water bowls. We’ve got around this by just buying slightly taller bowls. Not a big deal. Another one is when it reaches an object that’s on the cusp of being too short for it to go under. For example, one of our radiators is borderline the same height as the hooverso the hoover somehow is perfectly capable of getting under the hoover but is absolutely useless at then removing itself from that spot.
In conclusion, despite my above points, I would recommend this hoover to anybody as long as they’ve considered their own personal setup at home. If you have a lot of tassels and throws and rugs or a low fireplace hearth, I would possibly consider a smarter device. I manage just fine with this one simply by turning off scheduling (it’s pointless because it’ll just get jammed in something) and manually turning it on whenever I’m actually in the room that needs cleaning, e.g. I might play my PS4 in the living room and set it going so that I can keep an eye on it. If I see it going somewhere a bit risky, I’ll just spin it a different direction using the remote next to me. We will eventually upgrade to a better model but, for now, this will do. We got it on a Prime Sale so it was an absolute bargain for what it does.
I’m so happy with my “Romeo”
He is able to get places that get neglected. Under the kitchen table, all along the skirting, behind the settee etc. I used to hoover daily but, still had little dust bunnies in some areas. He is very easy empty, comes with spare filter..brilliant to have when you need to clean the filter to be able to switch. He also has spare brushes so I was really impressed. You get messages to your phone if he gets stuck somewhere or needs emptying etc. I have two dogs and his daily cleans have made such a difference to me.
Does a really good job. First few times we had slight hiccups with it getting stuck in certain places but we have worked round that now. Set it going at bedtime so lovely to come down to a clean house in the morning especially as we have dogs. Great addition to the family , we call him George
I don’t usually write reviews, but I thought this deserves one to help people like myself. I debated it for a while, but I’m so glad I went for it!
It ha smany functions, but I just use the generic function as it does a full clean. You can have it on different suction modes, with each suction reducing the total clean time due to the power. I use it on full suction and it lasts about 40 minutes, which cleans both floors in my house and everyone room! It picks up literally every bit and does all the edges also! It’s sooo good honestly. I tell everybody about it and now everyone wnats one. I’m getting my mum one for her birthday!
Don’t hesitate and just buy!
Love this wee guy! He picks up dust etc very well and does a fab job. I didn’t think he’d be very good at corners but I was pleasantly surprised.
Works well on hard floors and carpets.
Haven’t linked to Alexa yet as I just use the app on my phone but all in I’m very happy with my Eufy purchase. Highly recommend to anyone considering buying one.
Hi Eufy, if you’re reading this, I’d like some reward for giving such a glowing review lol.
So firstly, I naturally read the reviews and they gave me some concerns, mostly about the attena like brushes falling off and the vaccum not being able to make it over my multiple thick wool rugs. Or the fact I don’t have a huge empty space for the docking charge station.
But I didn’t need to worry about any of these things.
People really need to read the instructions or Google/contact Eufy when something isn’t working out!
The brushes at the front were falling off a lot. Turns out like so many others, I didn’t push the two front brushes down hard enough so they click in firmly. Once I did, they haven’t fallen out at all.
In the boost setting, my thick wool rugs are no problem and even in the standard and max settings, it finds a way to get over them.
The docking station doesn’t need as much room as the instructions state and it finds its way home with relative ease, it’s not needed me to take it home other than the first time I moved it as I’ve now even put the docking station under the sofa and it still finds its way home from rooms away!!
It nagivates itself around really well and I’m so impressed with how well it cleans, picking up a great deal on each trip out. My carpets and floors always look freshly vacuumed and zero effort!
It’s much quieter than a standard vaccum which young my autistic son loves. And when there’s a little mess to tidy up, the remote function is brilliant. However it doesn’t work as smoothly with my mobile phone.
It works with Google Home.
Cleaning – the main brush requires regular cleaning and the collection tray requires emptying daily for a family home, both of which is are very simple.
The vacuum gives me alerts if the drop censors require cleaning to avoid this I simply give my vacuum a quick wipe over when emptying the collection tray.
This increased cleaning and emptying is no problem at all considering I no longer have to vaccum the floors.
Love the edges of the room function and it works equally well on carpet, thicker rugs, tiles, vinyl and even does the door mats pretty well.
The plus to all of this, is that I got this model for 132.99 in the black Friday sale. Bargain.
Having a physical disability this has been one of the most significant aids in my home and why I’ve gone to the effort of writing this review. If it can be so helpful for me, I hope it can for others.
Please don’t be put off by preconceptions and or very biased reviews.
P.s this review was written 27/12/21 and I recieved the Eufy Vaccum on 26/11/21 and have been using it daily.
This was the best purchase I have made on years. I’ve been wanting a robotic vacuum for years now and finally took the plunge. I bought it along side Alexa and Ring Door bell in the Black Friday sales.
The kids have named him Bob and I honestly I should have bought him sooner.
Alexa integration
He was easy to set up with Alexa. The integration could be a bit better. It’s a bit hit and miss when I ask Alexa to start Bob, she doesn’t always understand, or to pause cleaning.
Robovac itself
Good suction, I use it on the normal function as we only have laminate and tile in the downstairs area. I use it every couple of days and it always manages to suck up dust and the crumbs the kids keep leaving behind. Also makes the kids pick up their toys or run the risk of it being eaten and pooped out by Bob (their words not mine!) which is a bonus! He pretty much does the living room, dining room and hallway in 3 times and then sends himself off to bed. Easy to clean the rollers and the hand tool it comes with to cut the wrapped around hair and brush to clean the filter. Comes with spare filters and sweepers.
Remote for me is a bit defunct but it’s happily stored on the docking station and comes with batteries.
Only thing is he has issues sometimes with getting stuck on the doorway between the kitchen and hallway if he goes up or down at a funny angle and we have to rescue him.
All in all it’s been the best thing in 2021. He’s made cleaning so much easier with the kids. I highly recommend it to any busy households. It will make such a difference!
Great machine. Sweeps for approx 80 mins if left in ‘auto’ and collects all the stuff you didn’t know you had on the floor. Moves over low steps between rooms, moves between hardwood floors and low carpets. Comes with spare filter and brushes – which is handy as the filter is washed out every other day and spare filter is used whilst the other one dries out.
Despite the instructions saying in need a bit of space for its home docking station, it never fails to find its way home despite the tight space it’s in.
Due to it having a sensor to detect any drops over edges, I let it loose upstairs on the landing with bedroom / bathroom doors open, and it does the top floor too (once it’s recharged after a couple of hours).
Well worth the spend.
I’ve had a roomba about 10 years ago. This one cleans just as nicely and has the remote control to play with. I like the fact you can increase the suction to better clean carpets for example. Can’t seem to find the right model on the app, but that’s mostly me being lazy about it. Got it with a discount so quite happy about Black Friday.
We had been recommended one of these but had put off buying. We are so glad we took the plunge because Marple, as we have named her, is superb. My husband comes down in the morning, switches her on and sits down to watch her as he drinks his cup of tea! We get her to do our entire downstairs before taking her upstairs to set her to work up there. The remote is very good as you can set her to do edges only etc or direct her to a specific spot. We have paired her with alexa as well. We thoroughly recommend her. Now I just need a robot to cook the dinner and clean up behind me and we will have cracked it.
For the longest time I have wanted a robot vac, but when I moved into my new house it kind of took a back seat in how important it was. Pots and pans came first!
When black friday came around I decided to take the plunge and I am SO glad I did. This thing is honestly awesome. So much so I bought another one for another floor!
For me the setup was simple and easy but I am quite techy and I have set up smart devices before and the Alexa integration works well. When I just had one, I called it RoboBoi and I could ask Roboboi to clean. However when I got two and called them RoboBoi upstairs and RoboBoi downstairs, things got complicated with Alexa so the RoboBoi name had to go. Sad!
The random cleaning pattern can be a little annoying as you have to wait a long time for the full floor to be cleaned and it can go over the same area a bunch of times before it moves on, but if you just leave it to do its thing then it actually does a really good job of covering the whole space. I have relatively thick carpets and it works well on them, and on my vinyl kitchen floor its great too.
Overall I am so impressed with this, that as I say I got a second one. It makes life so simple that you can set a schedule and the cleaning gets done when you are not even there! If you are 50/50 on one of these, then I cannot recommend it enough, buy it right now!!!!
Easy to use. I can’t believe how much it picks up even when floor looks clean. Got two dogs and a cat and picks up hair well. Had a small issue with needing replacement part for a cracked collection compartment but replacement part was sent out quickly by their helpful customer representative. The only small gripe I have is that I have to empty in so often – but then again it is doing its job.
This is our 2nd Eufy and we are very pleased with it. Excellent floor-cleaning power and easy to maintain. The only slight downside is that the remote control with the 15c Max is less user-friendly than our original 11s model, in that it has no display to indicate what programme you are on. But that is a minor disadvantage. We don’t use the wi-fi connection, so can’t comment on that. All in all, we’re very happy deed with our new Eufy.
Thought this may be expensive toy but while we have not had it long we find it great. Alexa found it immediately and you just ask her to start robovac and away she goes, either leave her to run until battery is low or tell Alexa for her to go home. In either case the cleaning stops and as if magic fines her way back to the docking station. The amount she picks up is surprising, if only she could dispose of this in bin it would be perfect! Not sure about durability yet and think the filter, brushes and roller will need replacement fairly often as all very small and do a lot of work.
As it is so low planning to fit charging base in the kick space under a cupboard so out of way.
Also to fit little flag pole so you do not trip over it when working.
I have 2 dogs and a cat (all heavy shedders) spent more time hoovering than I care to admit and was still loosing the war against animal hair…. until now! Granted I’ve only had “Effy” a week but it’s the best thing I’ve ever bought. It literally does the whole house and goes back to charger when done. My WiFi isn’t good enough to be able to connect it but it doesn’t matter… I no longer have to lint roll myself every time I leave the house
Bought this on Black Friday for a good deal. This machine picks up really well, bumps into chairs etc but that’s what it’s designed to do! I use the app which I find is really good, but remember when you set it for the week it will use the last program that was stored on it. So if say you use it today for a quick 50 minute clean and it’s scheduled to clean tonight, it will do the 50 minute clean! Apart from that the suction is good, it doesn’t like my thick rug but it will do it hence very slowly. The first time it took about 40 minutes to find the station as was in a different room, now it only takes minutes to find it, so it must have some sort of memory installed. All in all I’m very pleased with this little machine and for the half price it’s a win, win for me
Bought in the Black Friday sale on a bit of a whim. BF made the 15c max affordable, so decided to have a punt. It is easy to set up and get going in minutes just to try it out; it’s practical and HUGE fun to watch. Like a drunk looking for an open kebab shop, it soon made its way from the lounge, across the hall and into the kitchen. We have laminate throughout downs stairs with the odd rug and it copes beautifully. I can hear the vacuum tone change as it moves from soft rug to hard floor and back again. We haven’t really got anything to get in the way other than walls and the suite and all our door thresholds are flat. The dock fits great under our IKEA TV stand, so robovac is nicely hidden when charging. He found his way back to base without issues so far when asked manually. 1st night at his new home, we set him off as we went to bed; this morning his dust tank is full and he’s sitting fully charged on his cradle. Brilliant. Like I say, he’s great fun as well as practical. The dog however hates him. Right now I recommend it.
Picture the scene. Two small children, a house of carpets, wood floors, tiles, ridges, bumps, drops and, most of all, dirt. Dust. Crumbs. Mud. Obliterated toys. Sandpit sand. Twigs. Play dough bits. Weetabix. And, right in the middle of this mess, there’s me. Grumpy and busy and so flipping fed up of hoovering. I mean, it’s after every meal, after every foray outside, practically every time the kids move, they shed filth like some sort of strategically adorable little dirtmeister.
Enter Mister Hoover (as he is formally known chez moi).
A quick tidy from me to avoid losing precious seeds and beloved pieces of gravel, and more importantly to avoid any unseemly beeping for attention (there’s a bit too much of that around here) and we exit the scene. Mister Hoover gets to work. He sails through the pigsty, devouring the layers of dirt. He randomly manoeuvres around, bypassing the uneven surfaces and cleaning them all. He pays special attention to the edges. And he returns to his little bed, where he prepares for next time.
He truly has changed my life. Given the choice between him and my husbandwell. It wouldn’t be a no-brainer, let’s put it that way.
This robo vacuum is as good as the reviews make it out to be. I have a labxretriever so you can imagine the level of the hair on a daily basis! I run this every other day and it greatly helps with managing this plus daily dirt.
I, like many others thought that robovacs were a waste of money and just didn’t work. However, the technology has definitely improved and if you have tried one a few years back and were distinctly unimpressed, now might be a time to give it another go. Absolute game changer for my elderly mother who used to struggle moving handheld vacs about and works great on my medium pile carpets. Would give 5 stars but has a few small flaws – the app isn’t great and the vac doesn’t respond as quickly/smoothly as you’d like, the dustbin capacity is a little bit too small, it can struggle going over small/light rugs (the wheel sometimes lifts them at corners) and can be a nightmare if you have lots of wires/cables on your floor (not really a fault if the vac but probably worth a mention)
All in all, a very good purchase – my model purchased is the 15c max, total paid 159.
This robotvac is amazing. Good suction. Gets under my sofa and right upto the edges. It has 2 brushes that are either side that helps get all the dirt up from the corners and sides. Easy to set up and connect to WiFi and my alexa and alternatively comes with a remote. I set the schedule on the app for when I want it to come on when I am out. Wouldn’t be without it now I come home home a freshly hoovered house everytime! Worth the investment.
