This is my first Robovac, bought on a bit of a whim as there was a discount voucher, although I have always fancied getting one but was worried that it would be a bit of an expensive fad.
Setup was a tad tricky getting it connected to the wifi but READ the instructions and all will be good if you follow them. She will operate without the app but it is useful being able to see where she has cleaned.
Roberta cleans in straight lines, up & down then across and back and works perfectly in open spaces. If the are a lot of obstacles she does get confused but gets there in the end. I love the way that she gets into corners with the twirlly brush and right up against the edges. My floors are noticeably cleaner as I have all hard floors with the inevitable dust bunnies. She is an expert at finding odd fragments of broken glass even though I had thought that I had hoovered thoroughly. The only area that I have to do manually is the stairs now – which Roberta has looked down and then backed away, clever girl!
Starting cleaning from the charging base is a doddle. Press start on the app and away she goes, returning to the charge base when she has finished or if the battery is getting low. I have the charger hidden under a cupboard but have had no issue in getting Roberta to find her way home. If you want to clean an area away from the charger I have found than switching her off by the side switch then moving her to the new room then starting her clean means that she will finish up where she started. I even got her to clean under our bed which is too low for her to reach. I just lifted the bed and left her there for a couple of runs. The map is quite useful as you can tell where she has been and move furniture around so she can do the missed spots.
I am sure that she is a time saver unless you spend too much time watching her doing her stuff as you are bound to do when you first start! The cat isn’t impressed and usually legs it and my 18 month old grand daughter is terrified of it!
The family love the little device and the little ones are even willing to clear the floor for it. (Definitely a help!) We tried this and the Roomba 692040. This has a few advantages:
– It builds a map on each run and covers each spot usually twice, meaning that there’s a good even clean
– This smartness means that it leaves lovely straight lines (like lawn mower with a roller) on the clear carpet
– It’s easy to use and works well with Alexa / Google home
The only downside is the suction isn’t as powerful as the Roomba 692040 or other more expensive models.
The Roomba 69204 has slightly better suction/cleaning (using both a rubber roller and a brush). We thought we’d like that more, but it doesn’t create a maps and so randomly moves around. This often left some areas overly clear and some uncleaned. (The Roomba seemingly has zero brains).
We’re genuinely happy with the little vacuum!
I hardly ever write reviews, but needed to explain……
I have two children, a cat and a golden Labrador. I work full-time and as you can imagine hoovering daily is a very hard ask. Unfortunately, because of the dog shedding non stop (Lab owners will know) it leave the house FULL of dog hair if I leave hoovering more than a day! This ends up on clothes and just gives me the sense constantly that my house is unclean (Which it isn’t).
I was on the fence about how good of a clean this Eufy robovac would be, but MY GOD, its the single best thing I have bought in the last 20 years!!!!!! I swear it does a better job than me!
No longer do I have dog hair everywhere, it just comes off its base, cleans my floor daily (its quite quiet too) and puts itself back on its charging base. I empty the bin (which is very easy) and we are good to go again!
This is the future, TODAY!!! I will 100% be buying robotic hoovers going forward and will prob get a more expensive one that mops next time aswell.
Don’t hesitate, just buy it!!!
Hands down best product I’ve ever owned. Bought one for my partner at Christmas and within 45 minutes had placed an order for my own.
Enough said. Get it.
I have been using my G30 for 9 months and continue to be impressed (or should that be horrified?!) at how much dust it collects from already clean-looking floors. It’s not the smartest when it comes to navigation but does a good enough job and I have learned its weak spots so know how to place things to prevent it getting stuck.
I have also learned how critical it is to keep the filter clean as pick-up drops sharply if this is allowed to get clogged.
Recently, it started making a loud clicking noise which using Eufy’s online FAQ I tracked to the side brush drive. I reported this on a Friday morning using Eufy online chat. Following some clarification and a bit of fault-finding the problem was quickly acknowledged by the friendly and helpful agent and I received a replacement on Sunday evening which was an impressively quick turnaround.
Assuming the fault does not recur I’m very happy with my purchase and with Eufy support.
We got 2 of these, one for upstairs and downstairs, our hose is so much oreahwr and cleaner with these e it’s hoovering daily. Absolutely brilliant.
Make sure you get floor mapping version so it does go over old ground constantly.
Where has this been all of my life it’s amazing. Love having the house clean everyday, it’s efficient and never had any problems getting stuck or finding his way home. We have named him Rob and Alexa controls him perfectly.
The biggest drawback is our cathe is utterly obsessed with Rob so much so he follows him everywhere and when Rob is on charge sleeping the cat then thinks he needs to wake him up to play and then all you hear is “charging” constantly through the night as he gets knocked away from his charge point. The fixRob now has a water squeeze bottle perched on top and the cat is petrified of him lol
Suction is ok on medium carpets but sometimes has to go round twice. It’s pretty good on our hard floor hallway. It gets caught on the corner of my rug though which isn’t really thick which is a little annoying. It’s ok though does the middle first then goes round the edges. It does finish a room pretty quick. It’s Not like my old neato which was much better, however, that was double the price. I’m happy with it for the Black Friday price though. It’s not like a headless chicken like the one I keep upstairs. It does help me keep on top of a busy house.
I was amazed at how my robotic pal cleaned my whole house, savong me the trouble of doing it myself!
Straight out of the box and set up in 5mins. Super easy to use and very impressive for the price. It maps the room/house in one direction and then works it’s way back.
It remembers when the charging station is, it has not yet got stuck, select the boost-iq mode for different floor types and it changes suction automatically. Works best on my laminate flooring, but still does wonders on both out short pile carpets and deep pile. It’s powerful enough to move my boys toys out of the way but it slows down just before coming into contact with more solid objects and that’s a great feature.
If you want to keep it confined to one room or several then just close the doors, the boundary tape doesn’t work with this model.
But for the price you’d struggle to find a better robovac, it’s an improvement on my older roomba. It will do my entire bungalow in 55-60 minutes, that’s 3 bedrooms, 2 receptions, a lounge and a very generous hallway. I don’t let it in the kitchen or bathroom/toilets in case there’s water on the floor.
Amazed how clean this makes everywhere look! It takes itself home if it needs charging. Maps what items in your house are likely to move or not & maps a route. It cleans, then goes around again to clean the edges. Really easy to empty. Comes with a cleaning tool (use this if you need to get the filter out for cleaning). You’ll need to empty it & clean out the roller every day (really easy). Then just send it home! Easy to use on echo devices – just tell alexa what to do. (You will have to ‘name’ your vacuum). You can set it up to start at specific times of day & just leave it to work! It’ll tell you if it gets stuck or is lifted up etc (has inbuilt speaker, but also sends notifications to your smartphone). It’ll need around 40/50 centimetres of space for docking, but ours goes behind the sofa close to the corner/plug. If you set it upstairs, be aware that although it can sense the top step, it advises you to put a barrier across. In a bungalow, you’re fine! It will go over rugs ok. I really didn’t know how much I needed this in my life! I always said ‘don’t get me something for the house at Christmas’. How wrong was I? Best. Thing. Ever!
Suction is brilliant in standard setting. We have 3 pooches abs eufy does a brilliant job with pet hair. It’s programmed to come on each morning before we get up and does the whole of the downstairs. Remote control element is ace. Has never run out of battery and generally cleans for 72 mins each morning before taking itself back to the docking station . The best appliance I have bought in ages. Highly recommend
This robot vacuum is fantastic. I don’t normally write reviews, but after reading a couple of the negative reviews on here I changed my mind as they are completely inaccurate!
This vacuum is great, it has great suction power, smart navigation and a useful map to check where it has cleaned and any areas it missed.
Smart navigation just means that it tries to keep in straight consecutive lines and avoids going over the same area twice. It doesn’t save layouts of rooms between sessions as you wouldn’t want it to! The navigation is smart enough to evaluate obstacles by light bumping into them and following an intelligent route around them. If it gets trapped somewhere it’s normally (in my experience) because it nudged a door closed.
You need to ensure there will be enough space for the robot to get in to tight areas, but what do you expect?
I’m seriously considering a 2nd one for upstairs!
Well I couldn’t believe it simple to set up and the clean is amazing carpets look like new! I have a disability that made hoovering the most difficult job ever and now that has been taken away from me the rest is simple! Love it wish I had it years ago!
It took a while for me to work out how to connect to the Wi-Fi but when I did I managed to make my husband jump when the scheduled clean started! The amount of dust etc it picked up was amazing. Much better suction than my previous much cheaper robot vacuum.
The only thing I haven’t worked out yet is how to direct the robovac to clean the way I want it too – as this was a major selling point to me when I saw this version on an instagram page that I follow, however, it’s not a deal breaker and I still love it just as much.
We have a toddler, so during the day everything is out which makes it hard to vaccum effectively, so this is set to go at 4am every day. I’m shocked how much it picks up each day, far more than I was with our Miele. I think its probably because it moves at a steady pace across the floor. Quieter than I expected and worth every penny. (Were about a month in.. and I would buy it again in a heartbeat)..
Oh and if I’m feeling lazy I just carry it upstairs hit go and it does upstairs too..
I never post reviews but my god this thing is life changing. Keeps my hard floors clear and dog hair free.
If you’re struggling to choose a robot hoover – buy this one. You will not be disappointed.
I called this little bug as it looks like it as it sweeps up. Get so much stuff out of the carpet can’t believe it it even after the cleaner has been with the regular hoover. The few problems connecting to Wi-Fi but eventually got it working. Best not to have it run when you are recording something on the telly as it can interfere. The app works very well and you can schedule your cleans. Very satisfying to see it go home on its own.
There isn’t anything not to like about this product. It’s easy to setup and it does its thing really well. I have two pets and this clever little device picks up everything and it’s particularly helpful with pets coming in and out of the house all day. It picks up grit that blows in, pet hair, etc. It’s great on hard and carpeted floors. Easy to take upstairs as it is light. It cleverly navigates around obstacles and deals with rugs of different textures and pile. The brush head flicks dirt out of crevices, so it does work through corners. Makes life so much easier, taking the hassle out of hoovering daily. Of course, for a deeper clean getting to more awkward spots, only the big vacuum will do, but the G30 makes this a less frequent job. The G30 is worth the money.
Have it set up for 9.30 every evening to run through the hall, kitchen and dining room where we have high gloss black tiles. Picks up the white dog hairs brilliantly. Carry it into other areas as and when we need it. It is what it is though. It can’t think for itself, move cables, furniture or bags on the floor and it can’t miraculously morph to a square tool that will get into corners. So you shouldn’t expect it to answer all your hoovering problems. But I love it. Easy to set up and use, quiet enough not to scare the neurotic dog or cat and that daily whip round just makes my floors and home so much more appealing.
I loved my eufy G30 until it stopped working – twice. The first time it was because of the sharp sunlight across the floor that the vacuum sees as a ‘cliff edge’. Apparently this is an issue with quite a lot of robot vacuums. This was resolved by sticking tape over the ‘cliff sensors’. It worked perfectly then for several months but now it is not sucking properly. The reason I am writing this review is that I am really impressed with the customer support. Both times I have had to contact Eufy, they have been quickly responsive and, significantly, the email and phone numbers for support are actually on the machine itself so no searching for who/where to contact. As my machine is still under warranty I am hopeful of a good outcome. I have already been able to identify exactly where the problem is through an automatic but helpful email response I received a couple of minutes after sending my email asking for support (on a saturday afternoon). I will update this reveiw when/if the problem is resolved but thought it worth mentioning this positive feature. The only minor niggle I have (apart from it not working at the moment!) is that there is no remote control, only an app. You can control the machine directly but, as ours is stored under a bench, if the Wi-Fi isn’t working I have to crawl under to get it going. Update: Eufy have offered to replace the vacuum. I am delighted and third confirms the excellent service they offer. All machines can go wrong and that’s when you discover the reality of customer service!
Well, this was a bit of an experiment, to be honest. I was a bit sceptical, but having just replaced 1200+ square feet of bungalow flooring with laminate, the combination of pet hair from three cats, building muck (work on the house renovation continues) and dust bunnies the size if real rabbits was getting a bit of a pain.
The cats are a bit wary of it, but I set it off from the app every other day or so, and it seems to do a sterling job. After two runs, the app decided it had lost the network connection to the machine, but pushing the start button on the vac made it all sort its life out. Three runs and it needed emptying. Shame there doesn’t seem to be a way for it to warn you it is full, but other than that, it seems a grand piece of kit.
Sturdy build, navigates over any mats & easy to empty out the dust collected.
I have had this for just over a month now, and haven’t had to get the old Dyson out to “top up clean” at all.
The scheduling is great, and the fact that this will run when I am working, return home and just be done, is great.
The navigation mapping can sometimes be a tiny little bit off when it switches from 1 wi-fi extender to another, but it still cleans everywhere.
I went away on holiday for a week, and left it do its thing while I was away, could see from the app that it had cleaned and when I returned, the carpet was immaculate.
I can see that there are now models on the market with more power than this, and obviously more power means better cleaning, but for the money I paid for this, and the job that it has done, my wife and I are astounded.
When I clicked order on this, I changed my mind, after convincing myself that I had just wasted my hard earned, but Amazon said they “couldn’t cancel my order”… so I thought that it was meant to be, and let it arrive. We tried it, and now we won’t be going back.
Although nestled nicely downstairs, we grab her (We’ve called her Rhona) take her upstairs switch her on, and leave her to it. The first few times, the stairs worried me… but she stopped DEAD (and I mean DEAD) at the tope of the stairs, spun round, and continued on her merry way. we now just let her get on with it.
Only downside, ad this is very picky, is that the lip between our kitchen and hall way is right on the edge of her capability and goes from tile to carpet, and over a metal step… the wheels struggle with traction on this, but I knew when purchasing that the kitchen might be a (little) step to far.
It does all of downstairs on 1 charge, so no complaints on that, apart from the fact I have to let her charge fully before taking her upstairs.
All in all, this robot vacuum is a great entry level, and is definitely one that would be a good entry level for anyone with both hard flooring and carpet. I would VERY much recommend you get yourself a Rhona too!
Was very dubious regarding this product at first
But I can honestly say it outshines my Dyson hands down
Quiet and so way to use via the app
I have 2 long haired cats and after hoovering the house it seemed pointless because it’d be back to being covered in little fur deposits by time I’ve finished. But this little beauty has been a life saver! Set the schedule to clean whenever you want and away it goes. It gets round the entire bottom floor of the house no problem and very rarely has problems getting stuck. The battery life is enough to have it running on max suction for an hour and still having about half left which by then it’s finished the job and returning home. Honestly one of the best purchases I’ve ever made
This my first foray into the world of robot vacuums. I have to say that I am very impressed. We have 2 cats and if you also own animals, you know how much fur they shed every day. This little beauty calmly vacuums our entire house in about an hour and 30 mins leaving everything looking super clean. It’s easy to manage and easy to empty.
The biggest issue is it will have a panic attack if there are clothes or wires on the floor so do some tidying of those things beforehand. Other than that, it’s a great device.
I was a bit unsure about buying a robovac as in how good it would be. I purchased Eufy as I have their outdoor security cams and think they are fantastic! I live in a bungalow which makes it easier for the robovac to do its job, without having to lift it at all. I have it scheduled to clean every day. I have two dogs and it picks up any dog hair with ease. It saves me time as I would of vacuumed every day. This little machine is a must and I will definitely not be without one . I did have a problem with a wheel on the device, maybe something got stuck in it , I’m not sure. I contacted the company and they responded very fast and sent me a new wheel. The robovac was up and running again.
Eufy support would be another reason why I would buy from this company every time!
Love everything about this. Suction is everything you would expect and I love that I can ask Alexa to have robovac Bertie-bot set to work then send him ‘home’. Fascinating to watch. Video is Bertie on spot clean, added Wilf, doorstop, for effect. Best fun I’ve ever had cleaning, which I have always, previously, loathed as it’s a repetitive task. I can now delegate to Bertie-bot.
Was hung up on whether to get a Dyson or Robovac for our new house. I can’t believe how I considered anything else. Amazing machine. So handy. Just brilliant. Still have a corded Miele but haven’t used it properly in weeks. Robovac really covers everywhere.
What great product, our hard floors have never looked better!!!
This thing is a gem. I absolutely love it. My wife was sceptical at first but even she is impressed. It works very well indeed. It’s methodical and is a proper vacuum cleaner – certainly not a gimmick. My only criticism (and I am struggling a bit here) is that the collection tray is small so fills up quickly. And if it’s full, it will spit out dust on the carpet so you need to keep an eye on it and make sure it’s emptied daily. If you have a dog that sheds hair everywhere, this is perfect. Alexa integration is also excellent. It just works.
Love this it keeps my very dusty flat under control I can set it for times to come on regularly even when I’m not home, love i
Very impressed with the hoover, easy to use and set up
Bought as a present for a friend, so this is a second hand review.
First, just a quick overview of my friend (very pertinent). She is a very house proud lady, has two large hairy dogs (it’s amazing that they aren’t bald to be fair!), and regularly vacuums. We’re talking 4 or 5 times a day. Highly critical of cleaning products, so I took a risk buying it, but it paid off!
She absolutely loves it! It leaves little tyre marks in the carpet, so easy to see where the little guy has been. Not only does it manage to pick up all the dog hair from the carpet, but it absolutely flies on the tiles!
For the first time, she doesn’t have to spend half her day cleaning, she can put her feet up and watch it trundle along!
Definitely worth paying the extra for this model-it moves around the room in a logical manner rather than random bumping. It takes itself back to charge, and picks up where it left off.
I cant comment on the app unfortunately, but if i get an update from my friend then i will update here!
The only other thing to say is that i wish i had kept it for myself!
I genuinely think this is the best invention ever!!! When I told my family I wanted to buy this they all laughed!! After just 1 week they now all think it’s the best money I have ever spent. We have 3 cats and I was fed up of seeing cat hair everywhere. This has alleviated that stress and gets to places that we don’t usually go when vacuuming normally – under the furniture. I am amazed how much it picks up. We set it going every couple of days and every time I am shocked we have accumulated so much dust and cat hair. I couldn’t recommend this highly enough.
It does need emptying after every use and cleaning once a week.
After changing our flooring from carpet to wood, it felt like the right time to invest, and all the reviews seemed to suggest this model was a good middle spec Eufy.
Blooming love this thing. Its reasonably quiet, and just runs round the house every morning, giving it a quick hoover. It takes ~45 minutes, and i’m amazed how much it hoovers up every single day!
It isn’t perfect, it misses some corners, it can leave some stuff on transitions between hard floor and carpet, and i have a table it gets stuck on, as the foot is just the right height for it to mount.
I probably use a real hoover once a week, and its mostly to go into the bits the Eufy can’t get to.
Only real downside, is the couple of minutes a day i spend tidying up before the hoover goes round, but that’s no different to using a real hoover.
We love this thing, such a great purchase. Just don’t pay full price, keep your eyes open for the special offers that happen reguarly.
I have to say I thought robot vacuum cleaners were a bit of a novelty until we saw our friend’s at work. We immediately bought one and are very very pleased with it. It gets stuck from time, negotiating various rugs, but all in all it really is a very efficient device!
I wouldn’t say I hate vacuuming, but it is tiresome and repetitive chore that I find myself putting off at times. I looked around for ways to help and found this. So far it’s been amazing. The set up was only complicated by the device being on 2.4ghz network and my phone resolutely sticking to 5ghz. But I have other smart devices so used other methods to get around that. I’ve set it too clean while I’m at work through the app which was really easy. With the hope that it would pick up my messy crumbs from late night snacking and the rush to prepare my lunch before I leave. But it does much more than that. The suction is excellent I’ve come home to find the house looking really nice, with a freshly cleaned bounce to the carpets. The pick up is great for dust, hair fibres and crumbs
Is it perfect? No the navigation around my house is complicated let alone getting between tables and chairs. So yes there are corners and bits that Eufy has missed just as there are areas it’s cleaned 2 or 3 times. But I wasn’t expecting this to mean I never had to clean again. What it does mean is that my house is cleaner more of the time with less effort! What’s not to like!
I love this vacuum cleaner for helping stay on top of day to day debris. If you are thinking it will perform in the same way as a standard manual vacuum then this isn’t the caseit’s absolutely great for day to day cleaning but there is still a need to do a “thorough” clean, especially if you have areas the vac can’t reach.
I think it generally gives great coverage and I love it remembers where it paused cleaning if it runs out of charge. I do think it would benefit from two side brushes and slightly improved suction however.
All in all, very happy with my purchase and the app is so user friendly!
Great product at a great price. The G30 takes longer the first time it was used so it can map out the area it needs to clean then the subsequent cleans are noticeably quicker. A cleaner is still needed to get into corners, but this device takes all the unpleasant effort and all the time and effort previously wasted on cleaning is reduced to “Hey Google, start cleaning”! Should have bought one years ago!
Bloody fantastic.. best thing I’ve bought for ever! It runs for about 60 minutes and I empty it every time and change/wash the filter after about 3 or 4 goes All I do is lift phone cables or anything that may get caught in the wheels . Honestly a fab buy as long as you have 5 mins to clear away any hazards
Easy to use and suction power is great at picking up dog hairs. Battery life is great. One niggle is that when it’s doing a smaller space and setting is to not return to the charging base unit takes just as long to clean 6m2 as it does 20m2.
This is the second me I’ve bought, had the G10 hybrid (Not this one, same brand) downstairs for over a year it’s awesome, stays on top of my German Shepard’s hair no probs. Just bought this one (the G30) for the upstairs bedrooms and it’s even better. No dog upstairs but it turns out the girls in my house shed more. It goes on all the time and never has issues with the Hoover or app.
Incredible cleaning performance and added ability to work on carpet including my shaggy rug! The way it navigates is truly amazing and perfectly steers around furniture legs and obstacles.
This is one of those purchases that just leaves a complete satisfaction and happy grin!
We got this one after buying and returning another make, which wasn’t great. This one was recommended by a friend and so far been pretty impressed.
It connected to the wifi and app on my phone really easily. Remote control on the app is simple and also easy to use.
We haven’t found that the navigation has been as described; not quite straight lines, still more random than anything.
It does however have good suction and even after a vacuum with our upright, collects a good amount!!
The dog isn’t enamoured with it, it appears to want to Hoover wherever he is layingbut we’re happy with it!
Really easy to set up. Suction is good. Noise level is acceptable. Good value for money
After over a week, can confirm that the smart dynamic navigation works well for this price.
Very impressed with the robovac and am considering buying a second one, one for upstairs, one for downstairs. Does a great job. Very easy to use.
Wouldn’t be without it. One of the best hoovers I’ve ever had. Voice activated with Alexa and Google
Exactly like everyone says – a life changing purchase! My daughter says it’s a she and her name is Vector 😉 works great on wooden floor and carpet. Battery lasts enough to clean the whole house. Works very nicely with the app. You can a map of your house and the obstacles. Would definitely recommend.
Consistently picks up dust and dirt on carpets and hard floors. Scheduled to clean each day and goes about it’s business effortlessly, although it has got itself stuck a couple times so it’s just about learning where the hazards may be e.g. loose wires or sofas it like to jam itself under.
App is great, there’s no remote control as such and you can’t put in barriers like the more expensive ones but I don’t find I need it.
I’m giving it 5 stars for value for money as I picked it up on offer for 220.
Works great and travels room to room, finds charger by bumping its way back.
Seems to run for 80 minutes max, need another for upstairs now 🙂
This thing really has worked well for me. It’s the first RoboVac I’ve ever bought, and I was a bit sceptical about how well it would work. I’m now really confident it was a great purchase, and as I said in my opening sentence, it really works well in our house. The suction is adequate enough to collect crumbs, dust and small debris. And the fact that you can make it clean more regularly than you’d normally vacuum means the collection of dust/debris is small, so the relatively small dust container can handle that without issue. The ‘intelligence’ is quite impressive. Cant quite work out the algorithms it uses to get around objects, but I’ve not once faced any unexplainable situations, where the vac just goes round and round/gets lost etc. I’ve used this now for about 3 weeks.
I’m really happy with the product (as I often am with EUFY/Anker brands), and being a gadget kinda guy, slightly regret I didn’t go all out, and take it up a level to EUFY’s top model (L70). However, as an affordable mid-range Robovac, I would highly recommend.
I bought this model after lots of research and deliberation. I can say I am very impressed by the device, it has saved me and the family a massive amount of time vacuuming the house. Easy setup and quick start. The only thing worth mentioning is this does not come with any magnetic strips and the mapping is of no real use apart from seeing where the device has vacuumed.
Purchased through eufy but dispatched by amazon.
This is a great wee machine I just press go and it will vacuum all rooms where the doors are left open. It has three suction settings and I would suggest giving carpeted rooms a clean in the highest setting during the second clean and then going back down to whatever suits.
Slight problem with the ap it installed OK on an android tablet but wouldn’t install on an android phone (although I have seen it suggested that turning of mobile signal and Bluetooth during initial set up will help)
This beautiful thing purrs like a kitten as it meanders purposely around my house doing what I can’t be bothered to do. It cleans up pet hair no problem, and leaves my floors looking lovely and clean. it was incredibly easy to set up as well. I love the new smart navigation. I had one of these devices before and it used to wander around aimlessly, but this one cleans much faster and doesn’t miss anything. I’m so impressed!
Very happy with this purchase- very good, it takes about an hour to clean the whole flat (5 rooms). I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, especially about being able to clean the corners, but it cleans everything!
Dyson’s little helper. Not dyson killer.
Happy with the experiment. I am using this to do unattended cleaning before and after weekend. Picked up lots of fine dust. But left some larger breadcrumbs like piece of dust. Can control with app and view the map. Cleaning is not perfect can’t compare with my main dyson dc40. Kids and guests like it. Only using for downstairs living room entrance hall and study room. Not very effective for kitchen-cleaning is not 100%.
Robovac has changed my life! I was struggling with vacuuming because of bad backpain and sciatica but have wooden floors, rugs and several pets bringing in dirt on their paws and shedding daily. I had discounted robot vacuums before as I didn’t think they did a good enough job but this changed my mind. While not as thorough as my (heavy) Miele vacuum, it does a good enough job of collecting the dirt and pet hair especially if I programme it to vacuum daily. I get it to vacuum as we go to bed and when we get up everywhere is swept up and looking beautiful and the Robovac is on its base charging ready for its next cleaning foray. Only encountered two problems so far. One the dogs are terrified of it and one runs off to bed and hides and another barks at it – hence having it vacuum at nighttime (it is pretty quiet so doesn’t disturb) and two, the robovac can knock the rather light charging base off kilter so the robot can’t return. This was easily fixed with a bit of blue tack to hold it in place. You do have to empty the bin daily and I am always surprised how much it has picked up. And you do have to be tidy and pick up anything off the floor that might stop it from working properly, like charging or electrical cables, lego, dog toys, pet beds etc. You also need to think about the floor layout and if there are areas where the robot can get stuck but once you have done this it goes about its work happily, mapping out where it has been, which you can follow on the app.
Love how it cleans for my disabled mother. Highly Recommended.
I was anxious if it worth the money but actually it does. Also amazing how little noise it makes… with TV on you barely notice it. Covers as much possible area it can… if it can go through it will go. Suction power it is really good the only weakness (but not an issue) as my flat is covered with carpet sometimes (few) may not suck a sock fluff that it stuck with the carpet.
Love it! Best Buy this year. Easy to programme, have set it up to clean late at night so the downstairs is clean ready for the morning. We only use downstairs on the hard flooring but it manages over the rug okay. Anything the carpet would usually get stuck on needs to be lifted up though (thin doormats etc). We’ve got in to the habit of putting the chairs on the table in the evening so that it can get round easily but it still manages to do a good job without, just more faffy and time consuming. I love that it can fit under the sofa and clean under there! It lives under our tv unit so doesn’t take up any additional space. Only downside is having to clean the brush after every use and empty the dust container. It’s a quick job but if you forget then cleaning is less effective. We do have pets (cat and border collie) and 2 kids though so it gets quite a lot of abuse! I don’t think I’d use it on my carpet as it wouldn’t get in to the pile as well as my other hoover.
Best thing I’ve ever bought!! Makes my home look amazing and keeps on top of the cleaning.
Purchased this Eufy G30 from Eufy Life direct the set was simple it linked to my WiFi and I downloaded the app, the app is very good and has plenty of features and plus it prompted me to update the Firmware via the app and update the app. So iv just completed the 1st vacuum with this robot cleaner, and I have to say I’m pleased with the outcome, the clean was very good, it went room to room and cleaned my home all on one charge. The dirt and dust and pet hair it picked up was very good, it filled the dust container was full when I emptied it so after a first experience I’m happy. Much better then the Ecovacs that I had returned.
Amazing piece of tech, we’ve named it Dobby and it saves me so much time every day. Brilliant invention! Love it.
I was doing research and couldn’t decide on the robot hoover for months BUT this one is absolutely amazing. Really good help! I use it every day and it’s shocking how many dust and dog hair you can find in the bin compartment!
Very good item does a great job easy to set up and.got a bit of string wrapped aroind the wheels took 2 minutes to sort and was easily dealt with.
have been thinking about trying one of these for a few years, and finally did it last week. Im pleased I did! the set up was easy, though it would not work on my pixel 4 after several attempts and lots of googling; but when i tried an old Iphone SE, it worked perfectly and linked via the app to my Pixel. the Robovac is really not too loud, doesnt interfere with listening to TV etc. Im absolutely amazed how much dust it collects (i usually hoover the whole flat every 2 days) every day for the first week, the dust tray has been full…! not much more to add, than to say try it if you are tempted!
I’ve used this now for over a week and each day i am stunned by the job it does collecting dust and debris from around the house. At a certain time of the day the light would always shine through the windows and make me get the Dyson out and have to run it around all of downstairs. Now i just set off Robovac and let it do its own thing, although it is hard not to want to follow it around watch how its mind (navigation) works!
I suggest for the first couple of times though that you do follow it round and find out where any danger spots are before you let it run freely. these are things such as cables, curtains and other items that sit at floor level and would be sucked up. dont worry about larger objects, it will navigate around them, but smaller items you want to make sure Robovac gets a clean run without stopping so the first couple of times see where it goes. I had a panic when it dived under a TV unit where its like the spaggetti junction of cables but i have now placed a small rectangular box in front of the cables that Robovac now just bounces off and continues.
Unfortunately our sofa was too low for it to go under with ease so picked up some sofa risers off Amazon too which lift the sofa by a couple of inches. now it goes under freely.
If you can, choose a model such as the G30 with navigation, its so much better than the cheaper robovacs without navigation that do their thing in random directions. the way the G30 goes in lines and back on itself for any bits its missed is brilliant. You can see it trying to work out how it can go around something to go back to cover an area it couldnt get to previously. once it realises it cant, it updates the map you can see in the app and shows its as a wall or blockage.
all in all this is the best purchase i’ve made this year and with lockdown there’s been a few! for that reason i clean it after every session as i feel it deserves it! It comes with a handy cleaning brush and is very easy to empty. The filters can be washed and cleaned and it comes with a spare filter and a spare brush attachment.
this is what i’ve always expected from Anker! quality items with good innovation… just wish Nebula was of the same quality as Eufy under the Anker umbrella but thats a whole other story!
Bought this for my smallish (under 40m squared) flat, and it does a wonderful job! Cleans the flat (including nooks and crannies, and under the sofa) in about 30 mins, and doesn’t make too much noise!
You can change the suction power from standard to turbo to max, or if you want, you can use BoostIQ to have the robot automatically detect which setting to use.
Cleaning is super easy – just pop out the dust filter and wash with water, and the app provides a convenient means of seeing how long before you need to replace parts/filters.
Get yours now, and enjoy an adorable vacuum robot! Just don’t forget to name it 🙂
I did quite a bit of research before settling on this model from Eufy.
It is fabulous and picks up the dog hair on our laminate flooring really well. It goes under our sofa and does a good job of the carpet in our bedrooms.
Easily connected to Alexa and it can be set up to start cleaning via the app on whichever day of the week you need it.
Of course nothing can replace our Dyson Absolute but R2D2 as I call him just helps with the bits of pet hair and mess the dog bring in daily. Our terrier isn’t phased by it at all and watches it go about it’s cleaning as fascinated as I am.I would give it 5* so far.
Well made for an easy life, noise level equal to a small hairdryer, excellent suction. Best price you can imagine, go for it.
I honestly love my RoboVac. Bought “Dusty” back in November 2020. The first time I set him off I watched him like a hawk. We had a couple stairs he’d have to contend with and although having inbuilt sensors I still wanted to make sure there would be no accidents. Well Dusty went full pelt towards the edge, my stomach in knots as I went to try and catch him! But no need! He stopped on a dime to my relief!!
Once he’d finished and took himself back home I was amazed and somewhat shocked at how much he’d collected in his bin! The thing was full!!
I love the EufyHome app for the G30 too. Why I say for the G30 is because I also purchased the G10 a few months after and found you couldn’t see a live map like you can for this RoboVac…
Anyway back onto the app for the G30. Brilliant! Like I mentioned… love the fact you can see how the RoboVac is getting on by spying on it in the map view. Very handy when your wanting to go into the room.
You can either let the RoboVac clean on its own, set it up on a schedule, control it yourself (which is quite responsive with the controls) or do a spot clean, change it’s voice. Lovely!
One problem that I was having with “Dusty” was he kept loosing his side brush! Seems to have stopped now and couldn’t pinpoint what was doing it.
Would I recommend an eufy RoboVac? I would! I liked it that much I bought the RoboVac G10 for my hard floors. Some of my friends think its lazy and others think it’s a great idea. I just think it’s smart thinking.
Fantastic, and him Donald. I’m amazed how clean he gets the apartment, we have a Siamese and he keeps the hairs at bay!
150% recommend to get one.
This was a lockdown buy after being told by a couple of friends that a robot vacuum cleaner was a Game Changer!
How right they were! We bought the Eufy G30 thinking we would only use it occasionally but it has been a great purchase. Suction is good and it picks up so many pet hairs. It is simple to set up via the app. The only problem is we are highly entertained as we watch it magically clean up, so end up wasting time while we could be doing something else! A slightly annoying real problem is that I have bought some spare accessory kits (filters, brushes etc) from Amazon only to find the filters do not fit. Make sure you check with the seller before buying the kits.
This is my first experience with Anker eufy comparing to my experiences with Dyson (360 Heurist) & iRobot Roomba (i7), it has quite a few positive comments from me,
1. It cleans faster. For sure it’s suction power is far less than Dyson & iRobot, but it gets the ordinary vacuum job done. So for one with concern on the budget, I would think eufy G30 is a good choice.
2. It is slimmer so it does get under furniture better.
3. I also notice that the speed of it returning back to its charging station (surprisingly) faster than Dyson & Roomba. Even though I’m not saying eufy’s app perform better than Dyson or Roomba. (In another word, eufy has a long way to catch up with Dyson or iRobot on its app and features it supports).
4. Comparing Ankar, Dyson & iRobot, Ankar has the best customer service that doesn’t require you to call them and waste your time waiting for someone to pick up your call. They get back to you within 24 hours. Which is the BEST among all. Dyson deals with your problem fast but only if you call them and bear for long waiting time. They never got back to you if you write them. iRobot is probably the worst among all my experiences with them all. You will need to call them and write them and back and forth several times to get things sorted. They are not so keen on solving your problem, they’re more stick to their own procedures is my impression. So this is another reason why you might want to consider eufy.
Next, eufy G30 or eufy G30 edge?
The difference is G30 edge supports the boundary stripe. Do you need it? If your stairway is like mine that has open edge, then please do get G30 edge. Because my G30 fell down! (luckily, I did catch it so no damage to the device). So before you buy G30, think about your home. If you have any place at your home that has an open edge, then get G30 edge instead of G30.
Hope this review helps you.
This vacuum (now known as Hal 9000) is amazing. Worked straight out of the box, is impressively quiet and better at navigating than my (deleted for political correctness).
Hal was bought for hoovering up the dog hairs which it does without fault. The schedule function is awesome as I can get up in the morning and the floors are spotless.
Works with Google assistant as well.
I have had a robo cleaner for a year, I got it very cheap off amazon warehouse, however just before the year was up, the right hand brush went faulty (amazon refunded the cost). I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. So I decided to splash a bit more cash on a new one. I tried 3 before I ended up with this (one just kept cleaning the same spot over and over again, one was advertised as a hybrid (not a true hybrid sent back) and one just would stop in the middle of cleaning for no reason). So I decided to go back to Eufy which was the make of my first robo cleaner. This seems to work very well,
Good things
Mapping is excellent
Seems to cover every spot
Easy to set up.
Feels like a quality machine
Not good
Has difficulty picking up certain things off the carpet in standard mode (turbo and Max work bette
While my Siri, Alexa and Cortana covertly formed a union and passed a motion to ignore my instructions, this wee guy has rejected the robot uprising and remained loyal to it’s owner.
I was new to this whole robo-vacuum game. I’m glad I did some fairly extensive research before deciding on Eufy and I’ll share my findings here. Eufy products seem to have the best suction, pound for pound, and, their 11S or 15C are winners in the least expensive ‘randomly bounce from wall to wall’ segment. Due to the sheer size of my mansion house, I opted for the G30 which has the same chassis and suction as the 15C but is one step above with some dynamic mapping software. There is an even more involved ‘laser/camera mapping’ segment but this costs quite a bit more again, and, I don’t want this level of intrusion/security risk- these robo-vacuums are all wifi-connected for scheduling, status reporting and remote control from anywhere on the planet.
I rejected the ‘built in mop’ segment as it sounds (from review vids) like more of a gimmick than a useful appliance.
The G30 is a great bit of kit. Simple instructions, easy to set up, quiet, comparatively low height for getting under furniture (Eufy might even be the lowest), still hasn’t got stuck or fallen anywhere, maps out a fairly detailed floorplan (I can see the asterisk legs of my swivel chair), has an intuitive mobile app interface, comes with some replacement brushes & filters (so long life seems to be expected), and most importantly, good results on my floors. The auto-suction level adjustment is audible and balances between power-use and different floor surfaces.
I’m not affiliated in any way other than being a first-time, paying customer. I recommend this as a very useful ‘fire and forget’ gadget that seems to be excellent value for money. Definitely more ‘R2D2’ than ‘T-101’.
Wow, can’t believe how well it picks up, house is cleaned daily with no effort !
Noise is so low I can still watch tv as it cleans
We have named our robovac Geoffrey (from the fresh Prince) and he has become part of the family. We have set him going every day and he comes back full every time. Our carpets are brighter and cleaner than ever.
Battery life is great and covers our 4 bed house (up or down) without issue.
Suction is amazing and the mapping is good to see where he has been and it is happy to go upstairs and clean too.
Very Impressed with my purchase and has only been stuck by the toilet once. Seriously good product.
It’s very good , quick silent and efficient, also collects fine dust the house is much less dusty .
Very good product .
Setup was easy now navigates with organisation and what 60 minutes bumpy around is now only 20 min efficient clean.
The app is well laid out and very easy to use and also has access to spare brushes and filters.
I choose this giro based navigation system over a laser one as it allows for a slimmer design and also has less moving parts so therefore should be more reliable in the long run, i was skeptical about how good a giro based system would be but the mapping is accurate enough and it remembers it charging base position.
It would just be good if Eufy sold internal spares should they be required to allow for customer confidence on knowing the unit can be repaired if required
Pleasantly surprised with this gadget. We have dogs and end up vacuuming a couple of times a day to keep the hair down. I didn’t think this chap would be able to navigate the saddles between rooms but it does, with ease. It always comes back with a full bag. I have it scheduled to vacuum early in the morning and when we go out. Only minor downsides are that 1. It is a little noisy when it is working and 2. The dogs hate it as they think it is alive!
What did I do with out this.
We’ve had Dusty for a few days now and can honestly say I love him, I ask Alexa to set him going and off he goes 40 mins to do kitchen , utility , hallway and living room. He picks up all the bits and ri say we’ve just moved into a new build that was deep cleaned before we moved in he picks up loads.
I’m really happy and he saves me another job after he’s done I’ll go round with mop. Definitely get he’s amazing, I have a shark hoover that’s now made redundant to the stairs.
Absolutely brilliant, I’m amazed how much dust it picks up off our oak floors. Connected to Alexa for convenience.
My mum has the G15 model which is good, but wishes she’d purchased the slightly dearer G30 as it works around the room in a methodical way, so its get every part of the room plus it talks to you! . Very cool. Very happy.
How did I live without this?!
We named ours after our old cleaning lady who died tragically spinning around inside the vortex cyclone of a Dyson. RIP. But we’ve replaced her with this robot so the story has a happy ending.
What do you want to know; it’s thin so fits under the sofa and sideboard, it’s cleaning is excellent, the app is great.
Features needing to be improved; it cannot go up and down stairs like our old cleaning lady could, and it cannot make tea.
Bought Eufy in the summer. Love it! Use it every day . However, it developed a fault. Customer service was amazing. Had a new model within a week . Great follow up. THank you !
I love this vacuum. You can set a schedule and it will start automatically. Suction is really good and gets into corners and under furniture.
Excellent cleanervous. ..took out insurance on it….still waiting for documents.
***1 year update at the very end***
**Six Month Update at the end**
When someone hears that you have a robovac for the first time, most people fall into one of two camps; either;
Wow – that’s so cool, does it work?
Or;
You’ve got far too much money to waste.
I was probably in the first bracket here, curious to see if you could replace your Normal vacuum.
Granted this robovac is more towards the budget range in comparison to the big players such as Neato and iRoomba – however it’s a great little vacuum.
I’m constantly impressed by how much it picks up on a daily basis – I use it in my workshop/shop and is set to automatically start vacuuming at 7:30am every morning before I get into work. By the time I get in – it’s started and finished it’s cycle and the wooden floors and thin pile carpet are looking pristine. The image shows an average day’s work for the Eufy – this is roughly the amount that is picked up after each cleaning cycle, obviously it can depend on the amount of dust, rubbish etc!
There are every now and then, small bits which aren’t picked up, but if I was manually hoovering these areas would need several vigorous passes.
I’ve taken it home to try out as well, and my wife was so impressed she can’t wait until we get another for the house!! We normally manually hoover with a Dyson Animal, but the amount of dust that was collected on its first go through the house was mind boggling – I suppose mainly because it was able to get under sofas and beds where a normal hoover can’t reach – but less dust in your house can only be a good thing.
It’s Alexa compatible in that Alexa can start it, and stop it as well as telling it to charge – however sometimes you have to use relatively precise commands I.e ‘Alexa tell robovac to stop cleaning’ – any deviation from this tends not to work.
This may be a gateway machine into the world of robotic vacuum cleaners for most – as to be honest, it does such a good job (for the relatively low cost) I think we might be looking at a top end robovac for the house with added features such as multiple maps and LIDAR as we live over three floors.
Suction power is more than adequate for most situations, I tend to use it on Max power rather than any of the other settings because why not!
When it’s finished cleaning it returns home to charge with relative ease – after it gets used to your layout (after a week of use normally), it tends to get home a lot quicker than the first week of use.
Slight issue with this robovac is that it only remembers one ‘map’ – however I’ve put it on carpeted bench tops to clean and it does a perfect job, and the drop sensors means it won’t fall off, it doesn’t forget the normal ‘map’ either.
Some may say that the dust storage isn’t adequate enough and too small – however I’ve not found this to be the case – if a daily schedule is set and it’s emptied once it’s finished cleaning it’s more than adequate!
It gets better with each use, I suppose as it learns your layout, so don’t get disheartened if on your very first clean it doesn’t live up to your expectations. Give it time and it will!!
All in all a great little purchase, but the next one I get might be a bit more feature laden.
6 MONTH UPDATE:
This robo hoover still exceeds all expectations, it now comes home with me on the weekend when I’m not working, and hoovers the house. The second image full to the brim with dust is what it picks up consistently on each floor of the house – every day! It’s amazing to think how much this hoover really does SUCK!! In a good way of course!!
My wife regularly thinks this is the best thing I’ve ever bought and I don’t disagree with her in the slightest! I love it – so much so, I’ve given a few friends a demonstration, as well as shown them how much dust it will pick up and they’ve bought one immediately on my recommendation – I just wish there was a referral program – I’d be rich! Haha!
Honestly I cannot say enough good things about this hoover – it is just missing one or two little features such as Lidar scanning and the ability to block of certain area direct through the app (it has got stuck once or twice in the house – so we’ve just put some pillows down).
One last thing, and something I was totally surprised by, the floors in our house all range from tiles, to medium pile carpets – through to very thick (almost shag-pile) rugs – this hoover has coped with them all – even the shag pile carpet – which I thought it would struggle with), and it leaves nice track marks in the carpet, almost like on a football pitch!
*** 1 Year Update ***
So a year on, and all has been going really wellit’s been used everyday and I really can’t live without one now. I stand by the fact that this has been my best purchase ever.
However 6 days before it’s first birthday! The side brush stopped working (Error S3) and I was told to get in touch with Eufy. As I was still in warranty (by a few days) they sent me a new reconditioned machine out the next day, which, dare I say it, is even more powerful and does a better job at cleaning than my original one – which begs the question, should I have maintained my original one more – I’d say yes – so keep on top of your maintenance and clean the hoover too!!
I was told to keep the original hoover to use for parts or dispose of it if I wanted to – I’m going to see if the side brush error is easily fixable (although I’m guessing it’s not). I also had a new 3 month warranty on the replacement.
Eufy’s customer service was fantastic, and incredibly helpful, emails were replied to quickly and in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. I’d give 5 star alone for their customer service.
I would still happily recommend this robovac to anyone and everyone, although I have now upgraded to the X8 which is phenomenal – although it is more expensive, and this is more than adequate for the average user (even surpassing the new upgraded vac in a few ways, such as being quieter and having a slimline height to get under more furniture) – this G30 has now joined me back at my workshop and is happy running at the start of the day when I arrive, where it will stay for the foreseeable!
I have tried 2 other EUFY robots but this one is AMAZING as it has a map feature and also does the job in half the time of the other models. It doesn’t bounce from place to place and using the map feature you can see the entire area has been covered. It only has one brush as opposed to the two on the other models – I thought this would be a disadvantage – less cleaning power – but no – it cleans absolutely fine. I use it 2-3 times per week and love that I can put my feet up while a robot does the work for me. I highly recommend. Also – the seller – Anker – is amazing with great customer service if needed. I use Anker for my phone cable and chargers too – best quality products eve
One issue is it struggles with a thick sheepskin rug so I have to lift this before use otherwise it it sees this as a barrier.
I bought this to tidy up after getting a puppy.
I was amazed at how it gets in every nook and cranny. My floors have never been so clean, it even manages to get in an out of every chair around the dining table.
I would definitely recommend.
Much better than my old Neato that cost twice as much. Picks up loads and hardly ever gets stuck. Smart enough to clean under furniture and between chair legs without getting stuck.
Very happy with it and would recommend them to anyone.
All good from Eufy (Anker) on this little Vac. I have a Roomba which has been going for years but as ive used Anker kit for some time now I thought wed try one of these as they were on offer.
Does its job, quiet and looks the part. Sadly it had a fault but fair play, posted it back and new one arrived on 48 hours of sending it.
Contact all good, service good, new one is running perfectly.
Good stuff.
I’ve been wanting to buy a Robovac for years and only really delayed as I waited for prices to get more reasonable. But it was worth every penny and I can’t believe I’ll never have to vacuum the downstairs again! If you’re on the fence, go for it, you won’t regret it. Eufy’s products are such a reasonable price too.
edited .
Anker, contacted me and offered to send a replacement unit so i agreed to give it another go based on their their excellent customer service – polite, frenziedly and emphatic excellent. It’s why i would never go to Currys/B&Q/Homebase to purchase anything – their service is worse then a badly designed website. I simply cannot fathom how the ‘big’ brands are still in business – they are not even price competitive.
I’m glad to say the new unit arrived in good order (accessories still feel cheap plastic). However the roller ball came fitted in properly this time.
The unit is quite fun, kids love it, and i like the idea of it hoovering around when we are out of the house / overnight. The issue i had not thought about is you do need to clear the floor of clothes/ wires/ larger pieces of debries – which is fine, but it does mean you need to plan when you use it. You can set it on automatic schedule.
The suction is ok, it’s not particularly strong so it’s not going to replace your main vacuum cleaner. But it is a nice machine to do keep on top of the daily light clean going.
—
excited to trial the RoboVac; was pleasantly pleased with the main unit’s look and feel. and got it working fairly easy.
but then i took a look at the accessorise (side brush / roller ball) – and noticed they are made from quite flimsy/cheap looking plastic. In fact the roller ball was already cracked on the side and as such would not hold in place when the RoboVac was used. Pretty useless.
Will not be bother with a replacement.
Having had to do my own vacuuming during lockdown I soon got fed up with it (OK its a first world problem) and thought about a robovac. I thought they’d be far too expensive and some are at 1k+ but this little beauty wasn’t more than a normal vac. Honestly, the amount of dirt that she (called Eufy-Mism) picked up in the first few runs was astonishing and secretly embarrassing. We have two cats and live in the countryside. She runs around and hasn’t got stuck, digs out old socks from under the kid’s beds, returns to base to recharge and apart from scaring one of said cats, is perfect. My husband has slipped further behind in the favourite household rankings! Buy one, you will never regret it. Just make sure you empty the little bin every day, at first at any rate.
I did not think a robot vacuum was for me, but after studying the market and when I saw the announcement for the new G30 did I decide to try it. It has changed my mind. This robot vacuum is definitely worth trying. It has all the essentials I was looking for:
– it cleans well
– its battery lasts long
– it is quiet
– it does not blow dust up
– it follows a smart and efficient path
– it saves electricity
– no random bouncing around or other awkwardness
– and with an affordable price
The convenience it adds is not important to me. What matters to me is that it cleans relentlessly, it gets into every possible spot and it now cleans all the floors far more often than I was willing to do myself with a normal vacuum. This has given me a new cleanliness in my house that I didn’t have before. And it uses less electricity overall than my normal vacuum cleaner does.
What I like about its design and what triggered the purchase for me was that its engineers have made it smarter, and yet kept the design simple. Where other makers go all out with cameras and lasers, requiring much processing power and electricity all for a high price, does the G30 look inwards with a gyroscope and a “touch and go”-strategy. This appears to have reduced the costs while it also makes it a smart, agile and efficient robot. I believe the G30 is a milestone design, which makes robot vacuum cleaners much more attractive than any of them before. The G30 was definitely worth the buy.
