Great camera for now, good quality picture with night vision and l.e.d spotlight. Easy to install with great battery life so far. Only drawback is the viewing angle, as it portrays the image landscape when upright, but my garden is more portrait, so I’ve had to angle it to suit, which isn’t a problem as it still fits the whole garden in. Perhaps some of their other cameras have larger or more wholesome viewing angles. I’d still recommend however, especially if your garden is flat and wide!

Brilliant video quality and great battery life. Motion detection is faultless. The “AI” detection (human/animal etc) is less reliable, but you can configure this setting out, so it’ll trigger on any motion. The app is also very intuitive and alerts are instant. Would recommend.

I like these cameras , I like no wires or chargers to worry about.
mine have high traffic and last about 60 days but I think (I’m a bit OTT when recording)
mine are all set so I can reach from an upstairs window so no probs with recharging
good clear picture from my 3 x 2C and my 2C Pro I can see a clear number plate on recordings that is 35ft away when I zoom the pic.(the 2C can’t do at that distance).
I only have the 3 2C in my apple home kit otherwise I loose the 2K recording on the 2C Pro but its very easy to view all 4 from the EUFY app and setup the routines.
APPLE kit has the 3 2c in so I can quick glance at doors
ALEXA treats the cameras as motion devices which I have found useful, I also understand that you can view the cameras via an ALEXA “SHOW” device , I can’t vouch for this as I don’t have any SHOW devices.

After reading lots of reviews i chose the eufy because of the local storage rather than one that needs a payment plan. 2k recording is excellent in the day, motion detection is decent with only a couple of seconds delay before the image starts to record. Nigh vision without the spotlight is not amazing, but if you enable the spotlight, you capture a decent image. Lots if easy to follow tutorials and the app guides you through the setup process so you don’t have to be a tech guru to setup your devices. Mounting the cameras is simple if you can drill a hole and turn a screwdriver. Buy this product if you want a simple effective security camera that has top end features like face detection, activity zones 2k video and no subscription charges.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAs some kind person was leaving odd items at our front door – the last thing was a fairly new front light cluster for a VW car of some type – I though I’d get these to see who it was so I could thank them. So far nothing has turned up. 🙂 They did video some children around our cars at 2:45 am one morning so there….

They are easy to set up, charge first then link to the controller, the instruction manual is very good.

I used steps to screw the bases for the cameras to the wall at a decent hight so someone would not be able to pull them down. I’ve set my cameras either side of our small drive way and they cover the whole area nicely. You can set separate privacy zones for each camera using the downloadable app. They are ok but because they are variation on a square it’s difficult to cover a precise area. It would be much better if they could be made into odd shapes rather than just a square.

The cameras are excellent, or at least the video from them is. Really good colour in daylight and B&W at night. The night alert can either use IR, white light or both. I use IR only and find the pic excellent. You can use them to view what is going on at anytime, you don’t need to wait for an alert.

The cameras have a speech function as well, you should have seen the postman jump when I told him where to leave a parcel one time when we were not at home.

The cameras ping your phone when they activate which can get a bit annoying if Sainsburys are delivering or you have lots of guests – each alert videos a segment at whatever length you have set it too – but you can turn them off within the app.

The app is very straightforward to used for all camera functions. EUFY quote 180 days between battery charges but this will depend on how active the cameras are, I get about 130 days. To charge they really need to be taken down and contacted to the controller I find as they take some hours to recharge.

No monthly charge and overall a really good bit of kit, recommended.

These are great cameras. Connected the Homebase 2 direct to a TP-link because I have thick walls and they work great along side a great app. Not sure about the the battery life but on current draw it won’t be far off 180 days. Will probably add more cameras but will probably have to buy another Hombase station.

I installed this camera system to monitor some external construction work and scaffolding just outside our windows. Despite all the cars and movements in the background street, the camera is super smart and was able to send notifications only when people where on the scaffolding. Night vision and quality is excellent, even with distance. Strongly recommend this produc

Easy to setup, easy to install. Double check you have spare Ethernet port for the storage unit to operate from router. (Might require expansion and additional Ethernet cable) Only real snag is the motion detection balance, too sensitive and the battery will drain quicker than the 180days stated.
Too restrictive and the time delay can reduce chances of identifying the person spotted.

We’ve had a home cctv system for a number of years that had become outdated and the security company wanted at least 3k to replace it hence me searching for a cheaper and more reliable system. I did extensive research and Eufy cameras seemed to be the best. I have to say I’ve been very impressed with the whole set up. The cameras have great field of view which meant I didn’t need as many and the images are HD quality. The homebase can be programmed to certain hours of the day or week so that the system doesn’t keep triggering which is useful. When triggered, the cameras will make an audible alarm and, if at night, will switch on a light. I charged the cameras when I first received them and I’ve only just needed to charge them which is almost 2 months later and they’ve triggered a lot so battery life is great. To watch the cameras or review any recorded clips you need to download the app which is very easy to use. The only negative is that there can sometimes be a delay between a camera triggering and the app on your phone alerting you but that’s not a show stopped for me, I think you need to expect that from any phone app based cctv system.
Overall I’m really happy with this system, it’s better than our previous home CCTV and was considerably cheaper, plus, you can add additional cameras if you ever need to.

This system is excellent. It was very easy to install and set up – took me less than 30 minutes including drilling holes for the camera mounts. The only addition I’d like to see is an expansion slot for another memory card – like you get with the doorbell chime. Alternatively, the software could be made to allow storage sharing between the chime and the base station. We’ve linked four cameras and a door bell, so a bit more storage capacity would be good.

The good: it can be set to only react to humans (although it’s not always but most of the time accurate); image quality is quite good, the interface of the app is easy to understand and use. Batteries are rechargable and last long enough that you don’t need to be up and down the ladder every month or two (at least in my case) to recharge the cameras. I would include here all the features of the cameras but it would take to long.

The bad: Reaction time – this is in the bad section even though I believe it’s one of the fastest reaction times one can get these days. It’s in the bad section because I can not feel completely confident that the system will catch the needed motion every time someone is passing through the field of view. Again, from what I read, it’s still one of the fastest systems on the market right now.

I spent a lot of time reading reviews before buying this set. The main concern was the reaction time from detecting the motion until it actually started recording video. This is also the only reason why I am only giving it 4 out of 5 stars. From the reviews I read, I believe it’s probably the quickest reaction time available right now (April 2022) for wireless CCTV that is not recording continuously. It’s still slow enough to sometimes miss the detected human. The delay is sometimes a bit over sometimes a bit under a second. That is still slow enough for a person walking fast through the field of view of the camera to be missed completely, especially if the person is very close to the camera as he/she can exit the field of view faster. As long as the recording doesn’t happen on the camera to then send the already recorded/buffered video as fast as possible once the wireless connection is reactivated so that it gets saved somewhere in the house or the cloud, as long as that process doesn’t get integrated in the actual physical camera, then (in my non-professional opinion) I do not believe anyone can expect any faster reaction time then these Eufy pro wi-fi cameras are offering.

I like how easy the system is managed over the internet and all the other features. This is the only system I have personally used until now and I decided on buying this one after extensive reading on the internet about quite a few other ones as well.

We purchased 2 cameras, a doorbell and base – not really sure what to expect but we’re very happy. The picture and sound are crystal clear on my phone, and the area covered is ideal for us. The doorbell is particularly good with a very good camera and two way communication.

Initial setting up was not straightforward at first but the helpline talked me through it. There’s a bit of a delay on the microphone function and the sound is not as clear as the video of callers. So far the batteries seem to be good but they were only installed a few weeks ago. We added an extra camera too which was straightforward. Wi-Fi works to the end of the garden.

Bought for front and rear security, no previous experience of home security cameras but this was very easy to set up with wi-fi, or if required wired. The app from my perspective works really well and allows motion to be turned on or off. The viewing area when placed at bedroom height is very wide, fortunately there is a means of blocking areas like neighbours gardens so that’s great. The clarity of the picture is really very good, and the night vision at the front (there is LED street lighting) again is fine. So right now I am very happy with this system and I would recommend if you need to keep the costs at a reasonable level. I think I will add a couple of cameras at ground level at some point but so fare so good and I am glad I bought this. One minor thing is that the inbuilt light is not that strong and tonight I will be checking how the darker back garden area is visible. Usually most things bought from China are pretty awful, but this seems to be an exception.
After some days, I can say the night vision is so far good, however there is an oddity. I enabled motion at the front of the hose and it picks up people leaving the house and walking away along the drive to the pavement. Fine. Trouble is weirdly, is does not pick up anyone who enters the short drive, until they are at the door, this is a problem.
Update, so far so good, bit slow on the pickup but generally I like the system and will consider adding to it if the price is right, and that’s the point really, the cameras are too expensive for what they are

Really high quality camera even comes in presentation box very like an iPhone. Easy set up did what it said. The camera mount is flexible would have been nice if it could flex a little more to achieve the angle I wanted but I’m getting more to add to the ones I bought. The geo setting is cool if you leave home with your phone it knows you’ve gone and turns on. No false detections so far on human detection setting.

I can not fault the image quality night or day. I also like the no fee local storage of the captured images. You can pay for in the cloud storage but I don’t want that. Battery life is good also and there is an option for a solar charger. I marked it down overall because of the software limitations.
The motion detection is better than the door bell, with far fewer false notifications. The delay in notification and speech also seems to be less.
There are two main problems with the software.
The first is privacy zones. You can only set rectangular areas which can not be rotated, so it is very difficult, if not impossible to block out an irregular area. This is even more important with the recent large damages claim by a neighbour suing for lack of privacy due to a security camera.
The second is the very crude modes for home and away. What is needed is to schedule within the home or away modes the settings for a particular camera(s). I would like to select a particular camera or group of cameras ( ie indoor cameras) and turn off motion detection when we are at home between certain hours. That is not possible, so I have to go in to each camera and disable detection for a pre set period of time. It’s a complete pain to do each day.
It would have been possible if the home mode or a custom mode or geofencing would allow the schedule as an option. I could then have a day and night schedule for when we are home and a static schedule when we are away. It would be even better if it was possible to create multiple schedules.
The other pain is that the door bell has its own system

I already had the 2K doorbell with the hub, and being happy with it – battery life on that been about 3 months per charge.

This is super easy to install! No wires so it can be screwed in pretty much anywhere (within your Wifi range). It came with about 80% battery so I havent charged it yet. Plenty of notifications/videos as our dog keeps running, so battery still around the same in the past 2 weeks.

It has a small led light thats suprisingly powerful – but it requires additional light to turn on. So I have nearby a solar powered PIR light to support it. Works well. With the led light the night vision is in colour.

You can also adjust the motion detection zones on the app.

So far happy – its not the cheapest but I love the quality of anything Anker makes.

Other than the motion detection not recognising my dog as a pet, so will start recording and send a notification through, these cameras are really good

Good picture quality but my alerts can be delayed occasionally due to connectivity issues. Battery life is half as good as the 1080 spec camera in my experience. I have both. Overall, recommended.

This is a great addition to our home security. The 2k picture quality is very good, and is clearly better than normal HD quality. It is a shame if you choose to let Apple homekit take over and sense movement and store recordings then it is standard HD. (although I think that is an Apple limitation). I have found that it is a little bit slow on picking up movement, however the image quality once they have been picked up is good. SO far it has always picked up everyone.

We have a lot of activity near our front door so the battery is going down faster than I would have liked; so I have bought the solar power option and found that very useful. It is making some difference in the winter, we shall see how much charge it gets in the summer.

I also did a test and disconnected my router to the outside internet and tested to see if the remote cameras would store the video, and it did. So if the external internet goes down you still videos stored. However you will need your internet back to view the videos.

For the night vision I found additional flood lights the best although their own little light does a good job of lighting up and recording people.

It works very good, and battery life is ok for me (app. 3 month). Yet I wish eufy would provide an API so that you can connect it properly e.g. to home assistant. This “smart” cameras don’t make your home any smarter when you cannot connect it to other devices. E.g. when eufy detects a person, I would like to automatically turn on lights etc. Yet this is not this is not easily / reliably feasible (there are ways e.g. in home assistant but they are not perfect). Please eufy, provide a proper API.

I like eufy a lot, since it’s not using cloud, so I still recommend it. But the integration into a smart home is very bad / unavailable.

Dommage car choisir eufy pourrai etre presque tres bien si coherent.

Only had the system a couple of days but so far so good. Installation is dead east and the app is easy to use and intuitive. It guides you through set up no problems. Cameras are small but cover a wide area as can be seen in the pic and picture quality is decent. (Taken in low light at 07.30 December) I’ve found that the spot light assists with night vision so have enabled that on two cameras in the darkest areas.
Motion detection is good and you can set up exclusion zones if your camera covers a neighbours drive for example. These work well. Sometimes there is a lag with detection but it’s only minor and when connected to wifi alerts come through straight away. No false alarms either which is great so the human spotting AI seems to work!
I really like the talk and alarm functions. The alarm you can have on the camera and the base station and its quite loud!
I was worried about the distance one camera is away from the base station as it’s a long way and there are some thick walls in the way but so far so good. There is an option to connect the base station via wifi which improves long range connection if this is an issue.
Only minor downside is the quality of the mounting brackets. They are quite small and it’s difficult to get the camera really tight on there but they seem to be holding.
I have other Anker products which is one of the reasons I went for this system. That and the no subscription! So far so good. Would recommend

Most of the time these cameras are fantastic. However occasionally you will find they have not detected anything through the night. During one such time the cameras did not detect someone breaking into my car. I have no changes the settings so they are very sensitive to motion and record for the full minute instead of just 20 seconds. So far so good.

Great camera better than my XT2

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are great cameras for when you don’t want to pay any subscriptions and have local storage. The quality is pretty decent as expected for 2k as is the night vision (black and white or colour if you turn on the onboard light). They record sound and you can talk from your phone to them (if you want it near the front door instead of a doorbell cam).
The cameras connect directly to the homebase on its own hidden network which then connects to your router either by ethernet or wifi depending on where you put it (you will need to connect the homebase via ethernet during setup only – and then can move it closer to where you want the cameras if the router is not in the ideal spot). The app on your phone which connects to your wifi is able to see the homebase and the devices connected to that homebase – where you can control the cameras, turning them on/off, looking at live feeds (this seems to disconnect randomly sometimes) etc.. Your router/wifi doesn’t need to be connected to the internet but will do if you want to view when out and about. As I have fairly decent insulation and internal brick walls, as soon as I take the cameras outside – the range of the homebase drops. So I can’t have these cameras positioned exactly where I would like on either side of the house… I think I will need another homebase which they don’t sell on their own at this time. Still better than messing around with drilling holes everywhere and feeding in long cables and then trying to hide them.
It’s a shame that the cameras can’t have the option to connect to the homebase via the home wifi as that would solve my problem.

The cameras don’t trigger as soon as you may wish, but the images in general are good, been happy with the cameras neither camera has last 6months of charge they have managed about 3 which isn’t a massive issue but definitely not 6 months as advertised. But I’d definitely recommend the cameras for the price poi

I can understand why the reviews are mostly good. The whole kit feels like quality, the Homebase and cameras were easy to set up, the cameras themselves are discreetly smalland the daytime imagery is excellent. In fact, the issue has been that our BT Hub 4 is at the back of the house and wireless communication between it and the front garden camera is poor at best. Unfortunately, it means that this particular setup is not suitable in our case and I will reluctantly be returning it for refund.

After a lengthy process of trying to find the right camera system to protect my home, I took the plunge and ordered these cameras, along with the 2K doorbell. I’m delighted with the result, I’m receiving clear, stable video with little to no disruption in streaming.

Previously I had purchased the Amazon blink system but grew tired of having to change the batteries way more frequently than was advertised, I’d also spent a significant of time with blink customer support and came to the conclusion that the blink system is just a bit rubbish. Right from the moment where you open the packaging, this feels like a premium product, though some of the English in the user manual isn’t quite right, but I’ll let this slide.

Setting up the devices is a clear and completely straightforward process, and before you know it you’re receiving clear (not quite 2K) video. A friend of mine has the 1080p equivalent and there is a significant difference between our two systems. I’m glad I spent a bit more money and got a 2Kish system. The app too is really good, there are lots of features that are genuinely useful, and actually work properly. A particular favourite is the human protection piece, I don’t really live in a heavy traffic area, however I really like how you can set the cameras to avoid cars and just focus on humans, it’s worked flawlessly! There’s also decent scheduling which is a big difference from the blink system, whilst you can’t set individual schedules for each camera you do have the option of a home and away setting, with different parameters in both which Is completely customisable.

In summary if you’re looking for a decent system that doesn’t cost the Earth, works as it should and is generally a good product then I’ll stop your search now purchase the eufy system

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI spent a long time deciding to once again go for wireless security cameras. The last system I installed (3 cameras) all failed after about about 3 years and were troublesome in operation. I read a lot of stuff on line about Eufy battery operated cameras and apart from a few horrendous reviews they seemed to be scoring fairly high on customer satisfaction. I tried a few times to get a definitive answer from Eufy regarding battery life. (Not operation from a single charge but would the lithium battery still be functional after x number of years. I had some pretty evasive answers. However eventually Eufy did give a written answer saying the battery should last in excess of 3 years. So that bit of reassurance helped my decision making. Like many other reviewers I found set up of home base and cameras straightforward and also adding another camera was easy. Another plus was the WiFi operation, I have 3 cameras around our house and none of them have ever gone offline in about 3 months of operation. The recharge period, even at the most efficient setting will never reach 365 days. I will probably need to recharge based on current operation by the seventh month (which is not too bad) I guess under laboratory conditions 365 days would be achievable. These cameras are physically small, picture quality is ok but not spectacular. The facial recognition snapshot may well be useful to catch a criminal but not all clips contain such an image. There has to be a clear view of somebodies face for that facility to activate and take a shot. I am beginning to think they really are expensive toys but they do what is written in the blurb. If you want professional cctv characteristics you need to employ an expensive wired system. I spent many months researching and watching how the price of a Eufy package oscillated up and down on Amazon and other suppliers. If you are thinking of purchasing Eufy, DONT buy at the “normal” price, if you are patient you will always get a deal. Keep an eye on the market. I got my two camera and home base set reduced from 349 to 249 in a sale from Curry’s.

Product is well designed and looks great. Appears good value, but I am finding notification of alerts to my phone are working erratically. Just seems to stop notifying for no reason then starts working again hours later. I have a BT Smart hub 2 so that may be an issue with the 2.4 ghz bandwidth – frustrating as real-time notifications of alerts are rather important in a home security system! All events are captured on the local hub but the notification side is flaky.

Update – I seem to have resolved the erratic notifications issue by turning off the battery optimisation option in Settings for the Eufy app on my Android phone. This does increasse the battery usage of the phone, but allows background activities such as notifications to continue uninterrupted.

Have therefore changed star rating from 3 to 4.

I’m really pleased with these cameras and did a lot of research prior to purchasing.

    The attractions for me were;

    – Wireless with long battery life, offering flexibility as to where the camera is located.

    – AI detects humans or objects so it only records motion.

    – No subscription is needed.

This seemed slightly different to other offerings on the market as it didn’t need a cloud subscription. I was coming to the end of my subscription for my current camera system so decided to look elsewhere. This camera system is so much better than what I had previously and I only get alerts when something is happening whereas previously I used to get notified of lots of birds and moths!

So far the battery life seems accurate and I’m sure I will get 6 months of use before needing to be recharged. The picture/video quality is excellent again.

The main reason for buying this system is the fact you can put them anywhere around your property in range of the base station with no wirering required. Easy to install aswel.
Quite hard to get a good re-trigger balance when you need to record a little longer.
When you record for longer periods the battery’s will deplete quickly. But its extremely easy to unmount and charge. I am happy with the purchase but not ecstatic.

Bought this system to replace a couple of old cheap wi-fi cameras that only took photo’s. Delivered on the same day of order, the packaging looked very smart, and once open, the components looked better than expected.

The main box is way smaller than I was expecting, that’s a good thing. The cameras were also smaller than I was expecting, which just makes them look smarter.

It took about 15 minutes to unpack and setup. Downloaded the app onto my phone and followed the instructions. The main box powers on and needs to connect to the router at first, easy to setup. Adding the devices was all done via scanning QR codes.

The camera settings are all simple to work out in the app, and everything up and working in a very short time.

The main box is approx 7 metres away from each of the cameras, the signal strength states good. Have switched off human detection for now – want to track delivery drivers and traffic in the close. General video quality is really good in tests so far. The zoom works well and is reasonably clear for faces.

Not sure why the milkman delivery early doors was not captured at all, but a lot of traffic caught during the day.

Only been running for a day, but impressed with the quality versus the price so far.

So, I’ve had this system just over a month, and I thought I’d update this review to reflect my current views.

To be honest, most of what I said originally still stands for me – this is a good system but not perfect. during usage I’ve noticed the following:

-Battery appears to be as good as promised, I’ve lost one notch of the four on my front camera, and my driveway camera is still showing as full charge
-I haven’t noticed any improvement on the delayed start, meaning that you do not get all movement captured. For example, if I exit via my back door and walk to my garage, the camera should capture me as soon as I step out of my house, but I’m often a few feet towards the garage before it starts to record
-I still notice that recordings stutter (although not a huge amount and this could be due to my broadband)
-The two way communication is great, in fact, we were out once when our postman tried to deliver a package, I had a nice conversation with him via the front camera, asking him to leave the package on my drive behind our bins (which he did) I also didn’t feel the need to rush home as the other camera was keeping a watchful eye on it
-We’ve had some bad weather (high winds and heavy rain) and this hasn’t affected the cameras at all – although I have also purchased covers (which I’ve also reviewed) so this may be the reason

    ORIGINAL REVIEW

I conducted a lot of research before I decided to purchase this camera bundle, and my findings made me realise that no matter what system I looked at, there were always a large number of positive reviews with just enough really negative reviews to make me doubt whether I should proceed or not. It got to the point where I was going to give up, however, something about eufy appealed to me, so I took a chance.

To be honest, I’ve only owned the camera for two days, so it’s impossible for me to give a completely balanced review at this point, however, I will provide my initial thoughts and then revisit in a month or so to update.

    Style:
Part of my reason for picking eufy, is I do find they make very attractive equipment – the design of the cameras is effortlessly stylish and even the packaging they came in (which is clearly Apple inspired) feels very premium.

    Set-up:
This part really is easy, and it’s drawn in crayon within the eufy manual. There really is no getting it wrong, i.e. connect the ethernet between the base unit and your router; plug-in and switch on; download the eufy app and follow the instructions. Similarly, installing the cameras to an external wall was very easy (and I’m by no means a DIY expert). You’re supplied with a template that shows where to drill the holes and extra Rawlplugs and screws (just in case you mess up). I especially liked that it told me what size drill bit I should use.

    Functionality:
Here is the part I will have to revisit in my update, however, my first impressions are really positive. The app is great, filled with lots of features to let you customise how you want the cameras to behave, and the picture quality from the cameras themselves is really good (which you’d expect with 2k). That being said, I do feel that an intruder could still be difficult to identify unless they come really close and look directly into the lens – it would have been good to have the ability to zoom in and retain crystal clear imagery, however, when I pinch to zoom on my iPhone things do get a little blocky. The quality is of course better when I transfer it over to my Mac, but it’s not perfect.

I do really like that you can set it up to just capture human movement or all movement. I have the camera that monitors my drive/garage to just capture people, whereas the camera that covers the front of my house is set to capture everything, so records vehicles as well. The downside is that the recording and notification system are not instantaneous – don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty fast, but I can easily walk onto my drive and get a few feet before it’ll start recording. This isn’t a dealbreaker for me, but a faster response could make all the difference in some scenarios. I haven’t tried the two-way communication yet (although no doubt I’ll soon be freaking the neighbours kids out when I see them on my driveway!) but I have noted that the sound quality from the speakers is quite good when listening.

    Should you buy it:
Well, it all depends on your need. If you want a state of the art system that will capture and record every movement and provide detailed evidence should you be unfortunate enough to fall victim to criminal activity, then this may not be the system for you. If, like me, you’re just after a deterrent and some peace of mind when away from the home, then you can’t really go wrong with this package.

    Summary:

I would currently split the advantages and disadvantages as follows:

    Advantages:
-Easy to install, set-up and use
-Great quality picture (even at night) and lots of features to customise how you want each camera to work
-Easy to expand with additional cameras or the eufy doorbell
    -No monthly or annual fees
-Great battery life (although I won’t know how true the 180 day claim is yet)
    -Weatherproof

    Disadvantages:
-Expected slightly better quality from the image given it’s 2k
-Sometimes stutters on recordings (this could be due to my internet speed though)
    -Doesn’t capture movement instantly

    A solid security system (UPDATED)

So, I’ve had this system just over a month, and I thought I’d update this review to reflect my current views.

To be honest, most of what I said originally still stands for me – this is a good system but not perfect. during usage I’ve noticed the following:

Having previously bought a eufy doorbell which I am very pleased with it was an easy choice to buy the eufy camera when I wanted one to see who was coming through our gates.
The build quality is of the same high standard and set up with the homebase2 unit was simple.
The alerts are very quick and the picture quality is great. The night vision with the light is in colour and very clear. All in all this is a great camera and I am very impressed with it.

Having had 2 previous wired systems one being a 5MP Swann camera system I thought I would give these a try, so as a test I brought this 2 camera system whilst on offer. This was because I was looking at extending my wired system but putting new cables in would be messy.

I needed complete flexibility so from the description on Amazon and other reviews these would give me what I needed.

Very decent looking equipment. Easy to set up and the picture quality is amazing on my iPhone X It’s far better than my 5MP camera system. Super clear and when zoomed in the picture stays sharp with no degradation of quality. I use the 16gb HomeBase unit storage. I do not use the cloud facility due to the ongoing cost. Tonnes of functions to fiddle with so able to have both IR black and white videos and nighttime colour too.

Set up was easy. I am lucky to have 380mps Wi-Fi so doesn’t struggle with connection at all.

The 2 units in the photos were put in the black cases purchased with a larger black mounting bracket too. I did this purely because the brickwork had six previous drilled holes with two previous cameras fitted. Because of the number of holes and the very small bracket that Eufy supply with the cameras I decided to have a larger mounting bracket which covered almost all of the holes up to make it look a bit tidier if not I would’ve left them as the white camera and the original small bracket.

Have purchased a further 9 different Eufy cameras including the wired door bell and 4 indoor pan and tilt cameras.

At the moment I have 6 cameras connected and working. One being 70 feet away from the router with no connection problems.

I have had a few problems with the wired doorbell only with false alarms and the motion zone. I’ve ended up not being able to resolve this so I have the settings saved where I receive more notifications than I should do, if not the camera doesn’t record all human activity. I have communicated by both email and phone with Eufy technical support. Emails are a little bit slow to be resolved however technical always seems to have someone to talk to with a 50-50 chance that the person is technical and not just picking up the phone to pass on the information to the back room as they call it. It’s still acceptable to use and gives fantastic videos and captures everything happening.

I’ve had the system now for almost a month and I am still very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone and will be possibly buying more cameras as it’s a fantastic system and very addictive

Great quality and easy to use and clean install.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis little camera has already stopped my van getting broken into once. It’s small size keeps it quite discreet but when the led comes on and the little red light to indicate it’s recording it’s often too late for a thief to try to hide their face. The time from motion detection to notification is probably the fastest out of all the WiFi battery cameras, which again, is incredibly useful to catch someone in the act…….if you want solid home security for peace of mind with no subscriptions, go eufy

So I’ve had this up and running for almost a month now. Initially I had a problem with one of the cameras not detecting movement and / or going off line. I contacted the support team twice by phone, they weren’t that great to be honest. However the support team via e-mail was very good. They offered to replace the faulty camera, but then it started working fine and so far has been ok. The camera have a good resolution, not sure the battery will last 180 days with the spotlight on, but it’s fine for my purposes. So much so I also brought the doorbell, which personally I think is better than the ring one. All in all I am pleased with this purchase. Just knocked the one star off due to the telephone support not really knowing what to do.

I bought this so that I could have a camera at the front and back of the house, and it’s everything I wanted from a system like this. Certainly not the cheapest option out there but definitely not the most expensive either. I’ve tried the little stand alone wireless battery powered cameras and the overall experience wasn’t great for me.

I did opt for solar panels to keep these cameras charged up and they work well so I don’t need to worry about climbing a ladder every few weeks to charge these, so I don’t know how long they last in battery only mode, but my Eufy doorbell doesn’t last anywhere near as long as claimed (2 weeks max).

Video quality is pretty good, and the night vision is excellent. I can see all the way down to the end of my garden quite clearly which surprised me.

I don’t get many false detections so that’s a lot better than previous cameras.

Bought this equipment over “Arco” equivelent as it works out about half the price for similar spec and to avoid subscription charges.

    Pros:
    * 2 megapixel cameras – important for detail when zooming in
    * Night Vision shows good detail
    * Huge battery life – 6 month life before recharge depending on usage (we’ll see in 6 months)
    * No wires – uses wifi and long life batteries

    Cons:
    * Recorded footage is not viewable through the portal, so you’ll need an apple or android device
    * Apparently footage held on the cloud is not viewable through the portal either and again you’ll need an apple or android device should you choose to subscribe to this. (This was told to me through Eufy Support)

    Note:
    * You need at least Android Version 7 or above to install and run the Eufy security app
    * I imagine apple devices needs to be up to date too, However, I’m using an Apple iPhone 6S+ to run the Eufy security app with the latest apple operating system installed (just).
    * you may want to tweak the motion detection, we have a wasp that loves closeup photo bombs of our camera.

Fabulous security system for the home owner who doesn’t want a wired system. I have now bought 2 lots of the Eufy 2c pro systems. I bought 2 sets because my house is large, very old and made with thick stone walls. I combine the outdoor battery operated cameras with several Eufy pan and tilt indoor cameras which are excellent value and work as intended. A couple of my indoor cameras are pointed out to the garden and are recording 24/7 onto a 64GB Sandisk memory card. Everything is well made, images are sharp. The phone app is brilliant too.
The only problem is that I’m playing with it all the time so I’m sure I’ll have to recharge the external camera batteries in a few weeks.
Top tip. The base stations can be used wirelessly once they have been set up. I locate mine near on the bedroom Window cills at the front and back of the house to get a better signal to the battery operated external cameras and powered indoor cameras in the nearby barns. Just brilliant.

Very easy to install and set-up. Motion detection is fine; took a little testing to get the level right but no issue. I think 180 days is a little optimistic on the battery life; maybe during lockdown but it certainly isn’t terrible. Charging doesn’t take too long and is very easy. Picture and sound quality is good, storage space isn’t a problem so far. I don’t foresee the need to extend the storage for my needs.

Integration with HomeKit is OK (sort of). I was hoping to be able to switch the cameras off from HomeKit so when I’m working in the garden my watch/phone aren’t constantly telling me there’s someone in the garden. You can turn them off, but you have to go into the Eufy app (i.e. can’t turn them off from my Apple Watch).

    Generally pleased with the buy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have both Samsung and Apple phones and wanted the notifications to go to both phones. Setup with Apple HomeKit was super easy and was done in a minute. Unfortunately setting up the android phone was harder. We had to reset the Homebase and download the eufy app on both phones and install it that way. It meant that the connection with HomeKit was also now more complicated as it all had to be done through their app. However it’s a fairly nice app and simple to use. The motion detection is customisable, we have it on setting 3 out of 6 and it still goes off with our pets, however it’s a great camera set and we’re really impressed by the quality. Both of our cameras are placed outside so time will tell whether they last or not.

We have this system and the doorbell and all give both me and wife (Two different android phones) almost instantaneous notifications.

Eufy have now supplied a replacement power adapter and I now have the system up and running. I’ve changed my star rating now to reflect the product.
When I set up the system I found out that the power adapter supplied with the kit did not work and after trying in other appliances I confirmed that it was faulty. I sourced another adaptor temporarily to get set up and contacted Eufy directly. All I asked for was a replacement power adaptor as I am now unable to charge the cameras via the Homebase 2 but I found them difficult to talk to and their call person seemed to speak very little English. I now have to wait for an email to confirm if the UK warehouse has a spare??? On this experience I cannot recommend this product. The cameras are great but their customer service needs improving.
