Eufy 2c
Great wireless security camera with reliable performance. I’ve been using the Eufy camera 2c for a while now, and overall I’m very happy with it. Installation was quick and straightforward, and connecting it to the app was simple. The video quality is clear during the day, and the colour night vision is a nice feature that makes it easier to identify people and objects after dark. I like being able to customise activity zones to reduce unnecessary alerts. I also bought the camera skins because they help the cameras blend in with the fascia boards, making them much less noticeable and helping them discreetly match the outside of the house. I’d recommend the Eufy 2c to anyone looking for a dependable home security camera

I’ve been using eufyCams and Homebase 2’s for some time now and just added another eufyCam 2c to my system. I have two Homebase’s, one for front of house and one for the back of house and garage, and a total of 7 cameras. I have found them very reliable both inside and outside (mine are protected with black waterproof covers) and easy to monitor through the original eufy app. They last a reasonable amount of time before they need recharging (depending on the number of activations) via the provided USB leads.
I manage them by clearing harmless activations every day or so, via the app to prevent a large accumulation of files.
Easy to monitor with the app when away from home and notifications also received. The last camera purchased is not going to have a permanent position so it can be used to monitor in different locations in the house, wifi signals are quite strong and it’s easy again to check the signal via the app.

I have a simple system with 2 of these cameras and a Homebase unit. All was fine for many months, until one of the cameras developed a fault. I emailed the support desk, and initially was pleasantly surprised how quickly I got a response. I should have been suspicious … After lots of time and wasted emails back and forth, it turned out I was talking to an AI support system, which didn’t understand the problem and left me increasingly frustrated.
I’d avoid this company until they sort out their customer support.
Update: I got a contact from human Customer Support after posting the above review, and offered a full refund. So maybe things are improving again …
Great little outdoor camera
This camera provides a very clear image during the day and night, considering its only 1080p resolution.
The motion detection for person and vehicle is amazing and has very few false recognitions.
The lights on it while not immensely bright are enough to light up a person and provide ambient light. We use it to give some light on the driveway when reversing up the drive at night.

I had already installed a hub and two cameras for outdoor surveillance and decided I needed a third camera. The eufyCam 2C is a good value camera and is easy to install. It does not require any hard wiring. The camera picture is crystal clear and battery life is about 6 months. Recharging is easy, you just use a lead and plug it into the hub for a few hours. This is a great system and installation instructions are easy to follow.
I have used a Eufy system for 3 years now, 3 cameras and a doorbell, and for a subscription free service they have worked great. The 2C cameras have a good image, I have no problem recognising people who trigger the camera despite them being mounted high on my house, night vision works really great, movement detection has good adjustments so you won’t get notifications at every movement. The system is easy to set up, connecting additional cameras is quick and trouble free. Battery life is surprisingly good despite my cameras being activated a few times a day. The spotlight function is reasonable in dark areas and being able to speak through individual cameras is useful. There are plenty of customisation settings to tailor your security needs and ensure you only record the things you want to see.
The downsides, the app can sometimes be sluggish to use although they seem to update it frequently. Notifications on my phone when away from home can take a few minutes to come through (this may be down to my phone rather than the Eufy system). And one camera has a slightly shorter battery life than the other cameras, hence the purchase of this as a replacement, although I find this acceptable after a full 3 years of use. The camera still works fine other than needing charging more frequently than the others.

La eufyCam 2C offre une qualit d’image HD 1080p, ce qui permet de voir clairement ce qui se passe dans les zones surveilles. Bien que la qualit d’image soit bonne, elle n’est pas exceptionnelle. Elle est nanmoins suffisante pour identifier les dtails importants, comme des visages ou des mouvements, dans des environnements bien clairs.

L’un des aspects les plus utiles de cette camra est son systme de dtection humaine. Contrairement d’autres camras qui alertent pour n’importe quel mouvement, celle-ci est capable de distinguer les formes humaines des autres objets ou animaux. Cela permet d’viter les fausses alertes, ce qui est un grand avantage. Dans mon cas, les notifications envoyes par l’application ne se dclenchent que lorsqu’une personne est dtecte proximit de mon domicile, et non chaque mouvement de branches ou d’animaux errants.
La prcision de la dtection est excellente, et elle permet de garder un il sur ce qui est vraiment important. De plus, les alertes arrivent presque instantanment sur mon smartphone, me permettant de ragir rapidement en cas d’intrusion.

Un des atouts majeurs de la eufyCam 2C est son autonomie. La camra fonctionne pendant 180 jours avec une seule charge, ce qui est trs impressionnant. Cette autonomie est idale pour des installations extrieures, notamment dans des endroits difficiles d’accs o il serait contraignant de devoir recharger rgulirement l’appareil. Depuis que j’ai install mes camras, je n’ai eu m’inquiter ni de la batterie ni de l’entretien.
L’application mobile me permet de vrifier l’tat de la batterie tout moment et m’alerte avant qu’il soit ncessaire de la recharger. La recharge elle-mme est rapide, et la camra est prte reprendre du service en peu de temps.

Une autre caractristique qui m’a sduit est la rsistance aux intempries de la eufyCam 2C. Grce son indice de protection IP67, elle est conue pour rsister toutes les conditions mtorologiques. Je l’ai installe l’extrieur pour surveiller mon jardin, et elle a rsist des pluies fortes ainsi qu’ des vents violents sans aucun problme.
Cette robustesse en fait une camra idale pour une utilisation en extrieur, que ce soit pour surveiller l’entre principale, un jardin ou un garage. Vous pouvez l’installer en toute confiance, sachant qu’elle continuera fonctionner quelles que soient les conditions mtorologiques.

Le stockage des vidos est une autre fonctionnalit intressante de la eufyCam 2C. Contrairement de nombreuses camras de scurit, elle ne dpend pas d’un service cloud payant. Vous pouvez choisir de stocker les enregistrements localement, ce qui est non seulement plus conomique, mais aussi plus scuris. Les vidos sont stockes directement sur la Home Base 2, ce qui permet d’viter des frais d’abonnement supplmentaires et de garantir que les donnes sont conserves en toute scurit chez vous.

Excellent security system
I did a lot if research regarding different home security systems. Have now been using EUFY for 6 months and think it is excellent. Reasonably priced and easy to install. Main features I like are:
Cameras can be set to alarm audibly outside as well as the home hub inside. This is a good deterrent.
Cameras can be set so a spotlight comes on which, again is another deterrent,
Batteries can be recharged using a micro USB and will last a good 6-8 months before needing a recharge
Flexibility to you can set on/off times to suite you, depending on your movements

Nice compact security camera
I did not want bulk nor a camera that is wired. This fits the bill on both accounts with eufy homebase 2 it is easy to add too. Even though it is HD quality if motion is too fast on freeze frame it can be quite blocky even during the day but this is not for a full professional criminal ‘on their toes’ catcher and is acceptable to me. The setup for Jo public is easy, too
Super convenie
I’ve 3 of these cameras to protect our property. When we visited Australia we were still able to monitor the house and best of all communicate to visitors to our door from Australia. With the added birdhouse covers the camera becomes more discrete. There is even a privacy app to block out intrusive views to protect neighbours privacy.

We bought x 2 eufy cameras 2 years ago as we run an Airbnb and it’s handy for arrivals and departures. So we bought this additional one for our driveway. You can arm or disarm it on your phone. The picture quality is clear and mostly defines detection between beast or human. The cat always says cheese at it. If you have a good WiFi connection and not a vast mansion this is perfect for security and to see activity around your property. This product is well worth the money for peace of mind and is simple but clever, like me!

Very good system. No contract, battery’s last 6months and the quality inc night is excellent. Easy set up and the app is really good-notifications ability to play back save or delete.
Small downside is I did have to buy a bracket to ensure correct position and trigger at the back door due to position of side gate. Bracket cost a couple of pounds from B&Q.

Purchased after my car was removed from my drive as an immediate cctv system. Was as easy to fit as they advertised and as easy to set up. The only slight issue is that the web app is so much slower than the app on my phone. Easy to change range of detection area. Nice little bit of kit.

The cameras where easy to set up and install. The picture quality is great for the price (i got these on sale) and the motion detection seems to work well overall with only the occasional out of zone detection trigger. I’ve not had the product long enough to comment on battery life. I have 3 cameras and the door bell which all seem to work well. Wireless range is pretty good too

Obviously not the best on the market but not bad overall. I bought a set of three of these with the homebase unit plus another two separately to make a total of five cameras. I run them all with solar panels to save the hassle of recharging every now and again. Had issues with one panel and/or one of the cameras as it kept going offline and wouldn’t sync up properly so I sent it back. The other four are fine though.

These are brilliant for their capabilities. Great surveillance and deterrent.
Their not without niggles.
They don’t record 24hrs aday. But they record what you need.
The detection range for motion is limited. So follow the instructions as best for the environment your installing.
Wi-fi range is limited make us of the base station being wi-fi enabled and use it as bridge.
The location of the base station and camera’s are highly important to get the best out of them.

Great little system pairing the cameras to the base station is so easy, I would recommend doing this before mounting.
Took me 30 minutes from starting to set the system up to putting both cameras in position.
I have had several different types of cameras in the past these are by far the best and easiest so far to both set up and install.
Picture quality and arcs of coverage are great I would definitely recommend.

These cameras are relatively easy to set up, we are using them for an internal security system. They are small, have 130degree day/night vision. Picture quality is good and surprisingly, the specifications does not mention the ability to switch on the in-built light (it wont operate on motion detection). Another plus is that all motion is logged at no cost, it can be viewed downloaded or deleted. Downside is although these cameras have human detection only (Which for the most of the time is correct), if you have a large breed dog, they will set of the motion detection in human detection only.

Really gives a clear picture. Only thing is it picks up my two hounds whenever they go in to the garden. Did think from reading the literature, it wouldn’t pick ’em up, but it does. So it seems super sensitive. Still chuffed with it even if it pings every time to tell me my dog is outside having a pee!

The only thing i don’t like is motion detection zone for 2C. It is square. Should be like Eufy Doorbell motion detection zone more customiz.

I bought four 2c cameras, one pan & tilt camera, one door bell and Homebase 2. All these products are brilliant, excellent value, with the simplest of instructions. There is a small delay befor recording starts but I guess all cameras are the same in this respect. Customer service is fantastic – you can always speak to a knowledgeable and helpful person. First class.

I was adding a. Additional camera to my 2c Pro setup. I didn’t realise this was not a 2K res camera. However, it’s still perfectly good and works fine
Good little security system
Very easy to setup and local storage saves the pennies on the cloud. Would say I have a camera down the side of the house and the wi-fi link keeps dropping off! The definition on faces isn’t the best but it is a budget system and it picks up any movement in the dedicated zones. It’s great for letting me know when someone is walking up the drive

I couldn’t be happier with these cameras!! I bought different ones a couple of months ago and had to return them as the recording settings were rubbish. These cameras are great! Picture quality is perfect, there’s local storage of almost 15 GB so no need for monthly subscriptions. The best feature is that you can set motion detection how it suits you – it can record any movement or just when it recognises humans, plus you can select which part of the camera angle is to be recorded – my cam captures the street as well so it was triggered by cars, but now I set it so it only detects motion in my front garden while I can still see the street if I want to. It’s so much better than the other cameras which I had bought, I really recommend it!

Ease of installation is good and app works well. Wished I’d gone for 2k rather than 1080p – it was price reduction that swung the decision. Clarity is OK but can’t really make out detail eg number plates. Night vision is pretty good but detection distance is limited so that I really need a few more cameras covering same field of view to pick up movement.

We call it our roving camera; we use it inside and out, but of course is limited by where the wifi goes.
2 small issues; it’s called a security camera, but when mounted outside it would present little problem to a thief to steal it and the integrated speaker sounds as if it’s from the 1940’s although that may be a fault, I don’t know.

Quality produc
Very easy to set up, great WiFi reception providing a very clear picture. Good night vision also providing a clear picture. So far battery still showing full, so will see if it lasts the 6 months. The sound is also crystal clear. Like the option to switch on spotlight but picture clearer in night vision. Sensor does not pick up any of the local night critters, so no wasted footage. All in all a good product so far .

Good camera, adequate resolution and stable. One of my other cameras, however, has started to drop connection to the base. Hope this is a temporary problem – watch this space, (if it will display it!).

Pretty Awsome System
Credit where credit is due, these cams are awsome. After having many CCTV systems over the years, some wired, some wireless, I bought the EUFY doorbell with the Homebase 2 and it has been working faultlessly for the last 9 or so months, happened upon the 2c wireless cam so thought I would try one. Really good range, connects where others wont and in record time, average connection time is approx 2 sec for all cams wherever they are placed. I have the homebase in the hall and it will connect to my garage cam ( the furthest away at about 120ft) in two seconds, pretty awsome and the picture quality is first rate 1080p. I now have 5 cams and the doorbell, all work faultlessly and on a side note the first cam I put up was fully charged prior to instalation and after two weeks was still showing 100% charge so the 180 day charge claim is looking good, 100% recommended.

Quality camera for a reasonable price
Easy to mount, easy to set up. I combined one camera with a solar panel. Easy to do.
Set up with the hub was completed quickly.
We’ll be adding a door bell to the system in the near future too.

The audio quality is good the mic work’s very well.
The picture quality is great, in the evening night vision is good with the addition of the torch in dark positions you do need to enable the torch to get a clearer image.
Fixings are good I would like an option to secure the camera other than screwing on with a thread as they could be unscrewed if located too low down.
I have two cameras at the 9 foot height and they detect motion very well although the detection dies seem to pick movement up outside of your detection zone settings so fine tuning the settings would be required.
There are lots of other useful settings including an alarm on the cameras and homebase 2 unit. Overall great produc

Great camera for the price, excellent functionality through the App. Good battery life 180 days. Would recommend adding a solar panel if your instilling the camera in a difficult location.
Easy setup and good video quality
Easy to set up and use. App lets you view and talk to visitors. Bought 2 to cover front of house and then added a 3rd to cover garden. No issue with connectivity.
Add on to the outdoor cameras
We use the outdoor cams so this was an addition- easy to set up, small and compact. Has good vision and area coverage. Would recommend
