Best camera for internal movement. Also can be used through glass to look outwards at night if you turn off night vision. Brilliant quality and easy to setup and use. Have bought my Dad one since as they are so good.
Already have one in the house and wanted to cover another area. Picture quality is fantastic, doddle to setup, app is fairly decent and its also relatively inexpensive. What more could you ask for?
This is a good camera, only issue I have is the LED lights on the night vision are very bright and reflect back when looking through a window, making the image unusable.
This is a good addition to my household security, easily installed and quality images. The only drawback is that it is mains operated which somewhat limits where it can be installed, unlike the outdoors cameras by the same maker.
I use this in my front window to view outside. Much cheaper and easier to install than getting a wired outdoor camera. The motion detection is very good but as I live on a busy road it’s difficult to get the sensitivity right. It can easily pick up everything that moves but if you lower the sensitivity it can miss the odd thing. Obviously the night vision doesn’t work through a window but my front garden is well lit by streetlights. If you put nightvisoon on when looking through a window it just reflects back so this is a no go but it is an indoor camera so not that that is a fault. Would recommend
Good camera but could not use as a baby monitor as there is a 30 delay which is a shame
What a bit of kit. Small, cheap and full of feature. Does exactly what it should. Yes it is plugged in, yes it logs to itself so if stolen you loose the footage but the fact you get an alert and the chance to record on you phone makes up for this.
Does everything I need it to do and having the night vision is an added bonus. Picture quality great and the can be accessed using the Eufy app and Apple Home app. Great for monitoring a dog and home security.
he camera is very small but it does the job very well. It is easy to set up too.
one thing i notice is that sometimes gets stack looking at one direction so does not track the move of a person completely, but if i increase the sensibility of the motion it never stops sending messages so it is a trade off I suppose.
i am happy with it!
Apart from rare software glitches (security issues) on the Eufy/Anker side, good quality. I have several of these, wanted to return 1 when I thought it was faulty but seems to be resolved now. Using it as a home security and baby monitor.
In terms of app support: Cloud subscription is almost impossible to buy from the app or their site, horrible site and UX.
This is a great piece of kit. The motion detection is excellent and the quality is very good. We used ours recently to keep an eye on the cats whilst on holiday (we were on holiday, not the cats) and it worked flawlessly. We could even use the audio function to chat to them when felt so inclined.
This camera does so so much, i love it so much bought another, it picks up everything, nightvision is great too!
Can even see my house when abroad. Dont think you can go wrong with this device, minimal set up and low cost for a clever bit of security.
Apple home kit compatible! However the pan tilt function does not work within homekit, but it works within the manufacturer’s own application which is better.
So impressed with the original Eufy indoor camera that I used to monitor our porch , that I bought the upgraded version when it came on offer . Used the new one to monitor the back garden through the kitchen window . Because of reflection this means can’t use the infra red option so installed a PIR outside lamp to illuminate the garden if it detects movement. Can also lay in bed and rotate the camera via the app to view downstairs at night. Obviously can also check , via wifi , the home cams when away from the house.
I used Eufy previously and thought the support service is excellent, which is why i chose them again for this Camera. I did have problems with some static sound coming from the camera after about 3 months, emailed Eufy support and they replaced it with just a simple process, got the item the next day.
Perfect camera and exactly what I’m looking for. Night vision is brilliant, recording is flawless and it’s easy to set up.
Doesn’t tilt down as much as I would like and app takes a while to load but apart from that it’s brilliant
Update:
I’ve had the Camera for 7 months now and havnt had a problem with it. App also works brilliantly. Sometimes I get a notification for a few hours straight that someone has been spotted and there’s no one there. The Camera is very sensitive in noticing anything moving. And when turning the camera off the whole camera turns away so you can’t see it which gives a sense of privacy. Brilliant product nd highly recommend.
PERFECT FOR PUPPYS.
I’m really pleased with this cam, it’s perfect to keep an eye on my pup while we’ve been doing crate training.
I do A LOT of reading into different cams and reviews, worried about security mostly. As I understand it, these are much safer than most of the other similarly priced cams. Reputable Anker have done a great job with their encryptions and protections.
The product as a whole is also fab, nice and small with great functionality and it’s really easy to use.
Overall very happy and would highly recommend.
Cheers, hope that helps
Really good value. Very good quality picture and overall well made camera. I use it as a baby monitor, so disabled motion control but enabled crying alert. It works like a charm.
Also on the plus side, there’s no need for any subscription – you still get all the alerts with the live view or you can store video on an encrypted SD card.
Nice little cameras for watching kids or animals, crystal clear sound both ways. The ability to track motion is really handy for watching your cats or dogs. Takes a micro SD card which goes under the camera lens by pointing the camera looking up. Cloud storage is chargeable by month or pay yearly. SD card allows you to record continuously and cloud storage only allows you to record when movement or sound is detected. look cute which is nice if you have kids as they don’t look scary at night. Overall nice little cameras and I would recommend them
I’ve owned a few different make cameras and have not stood up to the reviews I’ve read. But times have changed for me after buying eufy I’ve found these cameras absolutely amazing good value for money clear picture motion spot on amazing price i only got good news for these cameras very pleased not had any problems you will not be disappointed
This was my first security camera and added a really long Micro USB cable to it. Two small holes drilled in the ceiling later, now it sits in my porch (dry and protected from rain). Super impressed. Apple HomeKit works like treat, the entire family can see it and rewind clips and saves to iCloud for free…
The only thing I could possible say is that sometimes the app can take 20-30 seconds to load and the SD card gets confused sometimes because you should really use a high end SD card. (If you want to store recordings locally.. it saves on to the cloud regardless)
This brand is owned by Anker… A really well known tech company that produces high quality products.. If I’d have known that before hand I wouldn’t have blinked an eye lid buying this..
Cheap, easy first camera, Apple home kit = high security and encrypted, easy install, entire family can see the camera. 1000% recommend, Just buy it you cannot go wrong!
This great little pan and tilt camera was a breeze to set up. The picture quality is superb and the Ai seems to work very well. It reliably picks up humans and pets without annoying false alarms like moths and flies etc.
I have tried the cheaper makes of camera and you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommended.
Very pleased with the product. Only problem I’ve experienced is the rapid draining of my aging mobile phone battery. I’ve maybe spent too long reviewing the event list which were mainly pedestrians walking past the property.
Bought this to keep an eye on our dog when we were out. We’ll worth the price and the ability to pan round is great. Be lovely if it panned down more but not a problem if you sit it on top of an object. Better quality than some of the cheaper makes do worth paying for good quality
Very nice device for the money, I do have a 4k cctv system at home yet i also have these in some windows for a more eye level view of anyone about..
The app works very good you can link up multiple cameras, have a very good motion detect setup picking a geofence location of where you want it to pick up motion and what of i have pets and people
and on average it does detect just that.
The app is decently setup and easy for rewinding footage if needed and ability to turn of infrared lights ( as its indoors in my case so i don’t want them shining on the window reflecting back )
So why didn’t i give it 5 because although image quality is good at times, it has a moment where the good image quality goes low res for a moment it’s not all the time yet it does happen so I’m assuming a app or firmware might sort it.
I’ve got 3 of these which i didn’t buy all at once so i do rate them.
This is a great camera. The software is really polished and connection is rock solid. So why lose a star? It’s rhe vertical range of motion. You can’t mount the camera high up, the right way up as there isn’t enough depression. I wanted to put this on top of a kitchen cupboard but this makes it useless as you can’t depress the camera enough. Given the choice again, I wouldn’t buy this camera. I would buy the small fixed version from eufy which is cheaper, more practical and great in every way. If I stop you making the same mistake as me – gimme a helpful vote 🙂
Very happy with the product.. could be 5 stars, but some shortcomings-
– cry mode for baby monitoring isn’t very accurate. It doesn’t pick up single cry, rather captures continuous crying..so is a sporadic.
– Alexa skills not available. Even though documentation refresh to it, I cannot find the skill. Also heard it still beta.
– if this is being pitched as a baby monitor, then a play music feature should be available on detecting cry… you already have it for pet detection, so should be easy to replicate. A big value add.
Otherwise clarity and simplicity is perfect. I use the SD card option.
Very well thought out design. That app that goes with it is pretty good quality too. The amount of features it has is pretty remarkable for the price. Was simple to setup in HomeKit – just follow the app instructions as it doesn’t use the standard method, but it is very simple.
If I need anymore in home video cameras I’ll be buying these.
Absolutely amazing value for money!
Very easy to set up and works exactly as intended. You’ll need a micro sd but I picked a 64gb up for 5.
Its so good I bought a second device.
Very pleased with this!
I have tried few more brands in this segment but honestly these are much better with 2k resolution and some additional features. I can define an area of activity which can trigger the alerts if motion is detected. I can also trigger remote alarm which is not found in other cameras in the same segment. The field of vision is larger too. Two way audio works well. One feature missing is auto pan based on set areas. May be a software update can add that.
Software is more responsive (ios and android). Going forward I plan to use a NAS server for storage.
Customer service is better. Out of the lot I ordered, one was faulty and the resolution was straightforward. I was sent a brand new replacement without any fuss. I kept the faulty one with me, saving the shipping cost.
So i bought this as a baby cam, stuck it to the wall using command strips, pointing at the crib.
Crying detection works well, motion tracking is turned off, device is responsive, setup was quite straight forward (make sure you have an SD card if not using cloud or Network storage)
Picture quality is very good for price (mainly viewed through mobile)
All in all….I would purchase again.
There’s nothing really not to like here: Picture is great, writes to local SD so you aren’t using cloud subs, access from anywhere using phone app, alerts based on movement, motion detect window within field of view completely customisable, field of vision great, night vision great. Software is solid, easy to set up easy to use, never failed, no nonsense. Solid ecosystem, easy to add next camera/viewer app.
The only bad things: It can occasionally misinterpret changes in time of day as motion around sunrise/sunset. Also, movement of darker items against backgrounds of the same colour don’t always trigger, suspect it’s contrast detected, but actually it seems fine in night vision when the space is ‘properly’ illuminated. If storing to local SD card the web interface can’t reach that footage, though it can show you the live cam. App can get to everything even if not on local network.
I really like this camera, I really like Anker.
But after yesterday’s global security / privacy breach yesterday, 17 May 2021, not only would I avoid these, I have unplugged them.
Unless you don’t mind other people randomally getting livestream or access to the recordings, and changing the configuration of the camera, you should not get these.
It was reported one two year old was woken up by someone shout obscenities through the cameras speaker.
I am still running the external eufy cameras, while I find a way of running them and insulate them from the internet, but eufy block any attempt, so not sure how long it will be until I replace them.
A great shame, I used to like the Anker/Eufy devices.

Only had this a short while but some far so good will review again in a few weeks
Works as described, ideal for keeping an eye on a untrustworthy pet.
It would appear that whilst I am at work my house is a hang out for all the local strays and waifs..!
The two way audio is great for making ghost like sounds which sends them on there way with a now empty stomach and leaving the food for my cat.
I have the camera set for pet detection because to be honest no one want to see me walk around in my underwear in 4K but I can imagine it is every bit as good as the pet mode.
It has however turned me into a crazy cat lady as I now know when my cat goes in and out….. on the plus side she cant bring any boys home…! Bought because I have the outside cameras and easily control with existing app. Didn’t disappoint… although the neighbours cat would disagree…!
+:
– very simple and intuitive app
– quite silent and small
– have tripod connector
– good picture quality
-:
– cheap charger (if would be version without cable and charger, i will take it)
– not USB-C
– price dropped on 25% on next day after purchase
Fantastic! These are the best cameras we have brought. Great quality and picks up really well. Love how you can spin the camera round and talk through it. Would highly recommend.
This is a great little camera for the money. The picture quality is great during the day and at night. If the camera detects motion, you get an alert to your phone within a few seconds. The pan and tilt is really accurate at following a person. Recommended.
I bought a couple of these for my gift shop and they work exceedingly well with excellent, clear footage, with movement and zoom, record and playback facility and reasonable sound with intercom so I can talk to my staff from home. I would definitely recommend.
I use this to keep an eye on my open windows when the cat is using the balcony. I leave the window open while I work and this keeps me happy that it will capture anything that tries to come in. Motion detection and night vision is great.
I have it play a siren when the cat tries to jump on my stereo. Scares him off right away.
Would recommend but I also recommend buying a longer micro-USB cable if you are putting this on the ceiling. The supplied one is just NOT long enough for anything useful.
One of the few cameras that works perfect with Apple HomeKit and doesn’t push you to start a subscription like many other cameras – bear in mind you’ll need a HomePod or an iPad at home if you want to record using the iCloud service (which makes much more sense to use than paying monthly for just camera cloud recording!)
Bought one of these a while ago to see if it was any good. Was blown away by the picture quality and the fact that you didn’t need to subscribe to any cloud backup – the camera has an SHDC memory slot, and you can access the live or saved videos from a smartphone or desktop web browser. Now have 5 dotted around the place – some watching out for our pet cats, and some watching the garden and driveway. Had an issue where one camera died and expected some hassle because it was out of the Amazon return window. Got in touch with Eufy, and, with no fuss at all, they sent a replacement camera – totally impressed with customer service like that. Would strongly recommend.
Easy to setup. Picture quality is pretty good. Sometimes the sound cuts out when I’m remoting into the camera, but all good other than tha
Great little security camera. Pity there are very limited operating instructions. This means we are not getting the full use of the facilities available on the app. This is extremely frustrating as we are simply finding out by trial and error. Need to be aware that everything you do is on camera. My wife was on night shift and was able to quiz me about what I was doing up steps at our velum window. “Caught on.”
Bought this to replace a cheaper security camera and the security behind this is quite tight! hard to hack or gain unauthorised access to which is very VERY good.
After searching we finally decided to buy this camera. Its really easy to setup, very good connection with your mobile phone, and easy control from your mobile. The only thing not perfect is it cant not do audio from both side on the same time. But its still a very good camera for inside your house.
Setup was easy. Downloaded the app, easy to follow instructions, done in 10 minutes. Also works with Alexa, Siri etc. In the app there is a section WORKS WITH, I just tapped Alexa entered the Eufy password and it was done. I can now watch camera on Fire tv. I’m using this indoor camera through a window to view my backyard. You need some light in the backyard as you have to use it without night vision because the Ir lights defect back from the glass, but much cheaper than outdoor cctv.
This is a brilliant camera; great picture quality, easy to control, highly secure and works remotely across the internet – all without the usual setup hassle. It can trigger record just on people, animals or any motion. It has a loud alarm you can trigger, you get sound and you can talk through it. It’s also Apple HomeKit enabled, so when setup you know your data isn’t being sent to google or Amazon so they can sell your information to anyone who will pay. There’s a ton of other features, like a 360 look around, zone settings, great night vision and more – all at a great price.
Much better than my yi camera will buy another eventually. App connects quick every time and no lag or buffer time
Good little camera but I have found it difficult to get it at the right level to see my little dog. Looks cool and was very easy to set up.
They could charge this camera double the cost now and it would still be cheap for what it can do. Very good quality. One thing they could improve is to make it waterproof.
If you’re not familiar with the Eufy brand, get ready for a surprise. It’s a relatively affordable , feature laden and high quality electronic manufacturer, which is a subsidiary of Anker – who produce some of the best charging cables and power banks.
This wireless camera can be used standalone or within a system of similar cameras from the eufy range, as well as integrated with alarm systems and doorbells.
The app is relatively straight forward, and you can set things up like geofencing (turning on the notification features by your own location automatically I.e. home/away), and setting up your own schedules on a timer (I.e. if you work 9-5, you can set the system up to record any movement between these times and for it to alert you that something wrong – with a quick snapshot in your notifications) relatively easily.
You can have continuous recording, however the amount of footage you can keep will obviously depend on the size of the micro SD card you put into the camera (which has to be bought separately). Also as a side note, in order to insert the MicroSD card into the camera, you need to push the lens area up to the ceiling and a small slot will appear that you can slide the MicroSD card into. I’ve got it so that the camera will only record if it picks up movement in a certain location – although if I just want to ‘check in’ I can view a live view at any time. I’ve added a screenshot of the continuous recording timings dependingkk no on the MicroSD card used, direct from the app.
After you play around with the app for a little while, you will get used to the controls for the tilt and pan etc – the motion is really smooth, and also – very very quiet! There is a speaker on the camera, so you can speak through the app with your voice coming out of the camera, which is obviously handy as a deterrent, and you can also set it up so if it senses movement an alarm will sound.
Granted this alarm isn’t too loud, but it can serve as a slight shock and if you’ve got someone doing something they shouldn’t, it may deter them. Through the app as well, you can manually trigger this alarm sound.
Picture quality is very clear, both in normal mode and night vision mode – I don’t really have anything bad to say about the picture quality for a camera that cost roughly 40.
The camera only needs to be connected to a plug point for it to be ready to work and will connect Via your wifi – long gone are the days of wired CCTV systems with hundred of feet of wire for the power and the signal.
What slightly let’s this down is it’s motion detection and tracking system. Let’s start with the first, as I have it setup to record if motion is detected – it may be a second or so after said motion is detected that the camera starts to record – sometimes, this is not good – and examples I’ve seen from other reviews such as someone throwing something at window and smashing it, means that as it happened so quickly the camera failed to pick it up.
The motion tracking is a useful feature, as it will keep a person in the middle of the shot, but can than can be a bit jerky, and the added movement sometimes doesn’t allow the camera to focus on the persons face – I used to have it turned on, but due to these reasons I’ve turned it off to just record a single area.
Overall, I’ve had this camera roughly 8 months, and it works well and for its intended purpose. For the price I paid (roughly 40) you won’t get a better security camera. The app is relatively intuitive and works well, the notifications work great to let you know something has been spotted – I can see myself getting a few more cameras (maybe some of the bigger outdoor ones) and adding to this system.
I’ve tried every brand of camera before trying this one from Eufy. By far it’s the most easiest to set up and use. The image quality is superior and the app has the most features. For the rest. This one is the best. Highly recommended.
Have been using this for couple of months and really love it. Setup was really easy and complete within minutes. The internal memory card slot is in awkward position but other than that there are no complaints. You can choose to switch off motion & sound sensors as required. Recording can also be 24/7 or scheduled as per your needs which was handy. Really good product and easy to use.
I bought this for my mum as part of her home security system. I’ve used Eufy products to create my own security system and was so impressed with their products and customer services that I’ve done the same for my mum’s house.
Eufy do regular discounts so it’s cost effective to add devices when they drop in price rather than buy everything at once. Just make sure your first device contains a Homebase 2 (15 Gb).
It doesn’t record onto the Homebase 2 and requires a micro SD card but can be viewed through the Eufy app.
Unfortunately you cannot set up automations (like their other cameras) which is disappointing as it would have been fantastic if the camera could swivel towards a particular area if a Eufy Entry Sensor was triggered.
NO SUBSCRIPTION FEES.
Picture quality is very good but you do get pixelation on initially accessing the camera feed and sometimes whilst swivelling the camera around the room.
Even though their is a lag with notifications and reviewing the alerts, it’s no worse than any of the other major wireless players on the market such as Ring, Arlo, Blink etc.
The app is good but you can set up alerts to work Alexa and Apple HomeKit. I’ve stuck with Eufy’s app.
Highly recommended
As with all wireless products, you are entirely at the mercy of a decent WiFi network.
I had a small issue when mounting the camera but Eufy’s excellent customer services assisted me sorting it ou
It’s a great indoor camera. Would be nice if it connects to the Homebase so when the alarm is going off on the home base it does so on the camera for a louder siren.
I was very pleased with the Eufy doorbell cam and decided to purchase this addition. It works well as an indoor cam but I purchased this item for watching birds on the feeders in the garden. It obviously needs a battery pack outdoors and it’s not waterproof so I can only use it in good weather but it’s lovely to see close ups of the birds. Good sound too.
I am using the camera for more than 2 months and i am very pleased with the product (night vision and picture quality) and the price!!! The mobile application is very good in comparison with more expensive cams.
Also the support team is very helpful. I had a problem with the camera and after verifying the problem the camera was replaced within 10 days.
Very good quality, and solid, although would have liked the picture to be a bit sharper, but then if be spending more money!
Camera is great, we added it to our eufy setup to act as a baby monitor. Picture quality and the rest of the features all work as advertised. Easy integration into the eufy camera setup. What is most notable is the excellent customer service. When our first camera became stuck in a firmware update mode and unusable eufy support communication was quick and ultimately they sent out another camera without question. Overall, very impressed.
Bought this as a replacement for another popular brand of PTZ camera. After testing one I bought a further 3. Picture is amazing, night vision is also good. Would have got 5 stars for motion detection which is also very good with excellent motion tracking feature, but recently it’s failed to pick up the occasional pet movement (which it’s mainly used for). Love the ability for permanent recording, and with 128gig card you can get many days of coverage. Software is also really good, easy to search through events and connects quickly. Highly recommended camera.
I have had a few indoor cameras over the years, I use them to keep an eye on my dogs when we are out, this camera has been the best one yet. The quality is amazing both day and night, its a quiet camera, as in there is no echo or distortion when listening to the videos and when the camera moves it is very quiet too. I love that it recognises people as well as pets and that it will track a person or pet automatically if enabled on the settings. The software is easy to use and very good, its easy to view the playbacks even when its still recording and it downloads to my device in super quick time, issues I have had with previous, different branded, cameras.
I highly recommend this camera and I have been looking at other cameras in the same brand, mostly outdoor ones, as this one has definitely impressed me.
An indoor camera that I point out my window – it’s a great camera and so versatile. I cant comment on all functions as I’m using it in a way it is not intended but I can’t see why normal operations wouldn’t work when my abnormal usage does
Great value little camera, good picture quality and easy to set up. Motion detection is good, though it once looked the wrong way which was a little concerning – hopefully that was a one off. The Eufy software is very good, it would be nice if all the functions were available in Apple Homekit too. I had some trouble using it with Homekit but it turns out I’m happy enough with the Eufy software anyway. You can’t go wrong at this price, recommended.
Very happy with this camera great price great quality can’t knock it if you are thinking of purchasing go ahead .
A little larger than some, but not obtrusive. Mounting is straightforward.
Tracks motion nicely (this can be disabled if not needed) and gives excellent images.
Nightvision is good, but its range is average (typical for a camera this size).
Integrates easily into the app alongside other cameras.
Mic/speaker are good enough to have a conversation when away from home – I can talk to my kids when they get home from school, and hear about their day if I know I’ll be late home.
Love the quality of this camera and how you can control where it is looking. You might have to work hard to find a good place to put it as it can’t easily aim down, so I will mount mine to the wall or ceiling so it can see everywhere.
Using this is a baby camera and the crying audio notifications are really helpful to not disturb until baby is crying.
The 2k picture quality is superb, however if you want to use this as a HomeKit camera you will be limited to 1080p (because of HomeKit limitations) so I actually have just used it in the eufy security app.
Chose this as you don’t have to link to a cloud storage account keeping you more private and secure. Also can save to Micro SD if you need recording and don’t want to link to cloud.
Excellent quality and the best thing about Eufy cameras is that you don’t have to take out a subscription, so no ongoing costs.
Good features:
1) Can use it with or without the Homebase, so – very versatile
2) Very easy to set up
3) Good picture quality
4) Phone app is excellent, very easy to use and lots of settings you can use to customise the camera
5) Lots of mounting options
Less good features:
If mounted on a table then limited in how far down you can depress the angle. However, you can easily overcome this by mounting upside down on the ceiling, the software inverts the picture for you when you select the mounting position during setup.
Overall, excellent piece of kit. Recommended
Super easy to set up, even i managed it. Really good day light quality. Night vision is a little bit poor but for the price its brilliant, can still make out quality features and face. It does pick up glare quite badly however again for the price its on par for competitors.
Super easy to use, connection is great, cable length included is good, peace of mind can come cheaply!
Having had the Eufy 2c external security cameras for some months and being pleased with them, I purchased this interior camera on the basis of that. The camera works really well, picks up movement early and is quick to alert. Day vision is particularly clear and night vision is good enough. Very easy to set up too (like all their products, including their smart scales).
Knocked a star off as this does not record to the HomeBase (which the external ones do) and so needs a MicroSD card placed into the device – not great if someone takes the camera. Regarding memory, the Samsung Evo Plus 128Gb microSDXC card works well with this. Overall very pleased and recommended.

Absolutely excellent picture quality and value for money. We have two. One for surveillance on the house and one as a dog cam. The camera rotates and moves and you can sound an alarm or talk to people.
Having had the camera for around 6 weeks, it developed a fault… so asking for a replacement, the eufy team were brilliant.. very supportive and a camera replaced in no time..In a happier place now, well done…
The camera is a nice piece of equipment, 247 recording as well as great event capture. Picture quality is excellent with pinch or double tap zoom. Cloud storage starts at$2.99 a month basic for 30 day 1 camera storage. Up to 2 motion zones can be set, and each can be a polygon, not just a rectangle. I have this camera looking through a window with night vision turned off to prevent IR reflections, and the street lighting provides sufficient light to view what i need to see at night, plus i do have other cameras with night vision
The app is also a very well designed piece of kit which provides GOOD control of the camera.
I’d say worth the money. However, the download button is only active to download events…The way to download other segments of video is to (1) place the timeline marker where you want to begin your download, (2) then tap the record icon then
(3) increase the speed to 16x, this is a very clumsy method but seems to work… can’t understand why such a great app would have such s clumsy method of download.
The camera is reliable to detect movement in the day or night and sends notifications for any activity to my phone which a great feature to have rotation covers everywhere you’d need to see and alarm volume is loud and noticeable.
Amazing for the money! I can’t believe how good this camera is for the money. I didn’t read much into it before purchase but here are some of the features I found when running through the settings:
Set a detection zone and pet command – eg put a zone over the sofa and if it detects a pet in that zone it will say a command (e.g. off)
Security customisation – you can set all sorts of options for when and what the camera will record, set it to a schedule (i.e. record at night but not in the day) or set it to geo location mode so it will record once you leave the area around your house
Two way talk – can hold a button on the app and speak
Human and pet detection – this works fantastic, all the notifications I have had correctly state whether pet or human – this is necessary as you can set it to only alarm for a human so you pet won’t set it off
Cry alarm – you can choose if you want it to detect crying and alert you so also would make a fantastic baby monitor. I have two sisters with top brand baby monitors well in excess of 100 and this camera is far superior!
The night vision is fantastic – so clear! (See picture)
I’ve had it set up and running for a couple of days and there has been no issues (once you get used to it following you around the kitchen of course!). Only point to note is if you watch the live stream there is a delay of 3 to 4 seconds but this is fine for our purposes. I found when watching clips of motion it recorded it does seem to start the recording slightly before the motion takes places so imagine it was always be recording snippets and not saving if no subsequent motion.
It’s a strong 5 stars from me!
Love this camera, feels like everything is done with privacy in mind. I got this to keep an eye on the dog downstairs if I am not so I don’t need recording and only need it on at certain times. It’s easy to turn the camera off from the app and the lens moves into the cover when it is turned off.
The picture quality is really good and the app is great, really easy to use and set up. Probably for me, one of the best things is the ability to share the feed. Two of us can access it at any time and it’s really easy to do.
Works very well, but apparently MUST connect to Eufy servers to set up on HomeKit, even though it says it doesn’t. More worryingly, even if set as “activity only” or “off” in HomeKit, the stream can still be viewed and recorded in the Eufy app! This is very concerning. The best way around it is to blacklist it in your firewall settings in your router or equivalent. This allows only local connection (to your HomeKit hub) and is no longer accessible via anyone or Eufy’s servers.
Honestly, what’s not to like. I’m defo a fan of Eufy cameras and find everything from set-up to using them so simple. I already own the standard 2k indoor camera and have been looking at this version for a while. Thank you Black Friday early deals, bagged this for 31!!! Added to the price a 32gb card for around 8, I’ve now got a fantastic setup. Unbox to setup in 15 minutes. The features you get for the money are outstanding and if you don’t need cloud storage, you couldn’t find better for the money. Eufy are part of Anker and I rate their products highly. I’m planning to add more cameras as I originally bought the first as a test and so glad I did.
Using in conservatory for a full view of the outside… easy to setup and install. Wish it could connect to the Homebase 2. Picture and functionality great.
What a trill using this Security camera, there are so many features crammed into this device I cannot write it all down but my favorite features is the option to monitor and movement in your home once triggered and the camera will follow any movement once it spots it up to 180 degree’s. another surprise is that you can mount the camera on your ceiling and it will automatically rotate 90 degree’s. the night vision is unbelievable clear with the 2K resolution. the idea of being able to monitor and text your mobile phone anywhere in the world with the the video footage which you have full control over like warning and communicating with the intruder if needed, Highly Recommended.
Bought two of these in the Prime day sale. Very pleased with the quality of the picture, and speed of notifications. I also like the way they follow movement, although it takes a little time to get used to it following you.
I did have a problem with one of the cameras which made a whirring noise when it turned, and after a period of time would turn to the end of the turning axis. As it was positioned in the corner of the room, this meant it was facing the wall, and didn’t pickup movement. I called Eufy Support who asked me to take a video of the problem, and send it to them. The day after I sent it they called and asked me to return it to them by post, and on receipt they would send me a new replacement, and reimburse the postage. I sent it 48 hour tracked, and on the day they received it they part refunded my Amazon order to the value of the postage, and I received a new replacement a couple of days later.
The replacement camera is working fine, exactly as I expected. Very pleased the purchase, and the service I received from Eufy Suppo
Neat camera with excellent picture and sound. Live image can be zoomed in but looses a little quality at max zoom. 360 degree pan and 80 degree tilt all controlled from app. Storage on a 128 gb micro sd card, purchased separately, lasts approx 12 days at max resolution.
Excellent camera for price.
Love the home and away functions of this camera, when working alongside the security app makes life very easy for care of children and/or pets – oven to just check on the house when out.
Well I absolutely love these cameras. We have a couple of these for the inside of our house to keep an eye on things. They were very simple to install with the eufy app. They are also Apple HomeKit secure video compatible which is how we use ours, so you know your video feed is safe and secure. Well done again eufy. Next product for us is eufy outdoor cams 🙂
Excellent little camera. Don’t bother getting a cheap security camera get this one.
The quality is very good, and such a satisfying unboxing experience
Easy to setup as long as you’re the type of person to follow instruction manuals.
So many great features! And easy to control from the well thought out app, which is a dream compared to some of the nasty ones I’ve used in the past.
Oh and the cable! It’s nice and long. That was a nice surprise.
It’s also very quiet when panning around.
I’ve only been using it less than 24hrs but because it’s such a level up from what I’m use to, I’m writing a glowing review already.
Finally a good in home security camera!
I’m really happy with this camera. It was quick to setup and so far I had no problem at all.
Some comments are mentioning that it feels cheap plastic but realistically I just needed to touch it to install it, now I don’t get any close to it so it doesn’t really matter too much.
The tracking works well, night vision also looks good. It’s been working well with my Apple Home Kit as well. No problems with connectivity but it might be because it’s literally beside the Wi-Fi router.
The only issue I had was to configure it properly with Home Kit to control the notifications, I was getting too many. But I disabled the ones from the camera app and now I only get from Apple when I’m not home.
Considering the price, I recommend it without hesitation.
Very easy to set up and tailor your security system to your needs. Picture quality is great I’ve had Eufy security system for about a month and it’s met or exceeded my expectations so far.
Only criticism of this particular camera is that it doesn’t integrate 100% with the wireless system. ( you have to arm the camera separately
Great product, also purchased the Video Doorbell which in my opinion is the best on the market after trialling many others.
Very happy with my new camera, good quality, it does a better job than my other camera which is 5 times more expensive, to have the best control off the 360 I would recommend to place it on the ceiling, the speaker is not too loud but I don’t use this future. Easy to install and very easy to connect with the app. I bought a second one today to install it in my leaving room to keep and eye on my 2 years old.
After a spate of break-in’s in the area I decided to add some camera within the house. Set up was really quick with Eufy security app and the guides on mounting to get the most out of the position were most helpful. The night vision is good but did lack some clarity however I’ve never used a camera before so maybe excellent compared to other brands. I’ve been so impressed with this device and Eufy that I’ve moved on the purchase outside camera’s as well. If you are new to the camera tech, I would highly recommend for ease of setup and use.
Very good quality camera with a VERY clear images.Easily connected to the eufy security app.The app works seamlessly and gives you plenty of options. The activity zonal marking is also very accurate. All in all the perfect security system at a very affordable price and Apple HomeKit compatible too
Look no further, this is the best indoor security camera out there. It literally does everything you can imagine and more.
I’ve already got the homebase 2 and 3 Eufy Cam 2c cameras and the door sensor. Added the 2k Pan and Tilt camera as I need to replace an old camera we had.
The image quality is excellent works well with the Eufy app, I’ve got 128gb Sandisk micro sd card inserted which records to it without any issues
Has alot of different features including the auto tracking, activity zones night vision what you get for the price is well worth the purchase.
I dont use homekit at all just doing everything through the Eufy App and that has pretty much worked flawlessly
Very impressed so far, only got it today and probably spent about 10 mins to set up. Works great with Eufy hub software. I have a Eufy 2c camera setup with 2 external cameras and this one integrates flawlessly. Picture clarity is great and the motion tracking is amazing. Integrates well with Alexa Show although it’s early days yet. I’ll update if there are any issues but so far it’s excellent for the price.
It’s a great camera for the price, it offers very good quality video and sound is good. Movement is very good with the unit and I think would be better suited if you mount on a ceiling, that I will do. Now the bad, the software is ok, not the best, the website has its problems, it does not work, plus they are running flash, that everyone knows is a big no no when developing websites. Id say its better to use the SD card until they can sort out the app and the website.
Only recieved the camera today so I’ll probably update this review later with more longer term views, but I got caught out and thought it was worth highlighting to others.
To start with, it’s a great camera, good quility, night vision seems great pan and tilt is good fun and seems to work well.
The thing I hadn’t considered was the downward tilt. If you put it on top of a flat horizontal surface (on a shelf, cupboard or other bit of furnature) you can’t angle the camera down very far. My original plan was to put it on top of a wall mounted kitchen cabinate to cover the back door, but I dont think I’d get much more than the top of someone’s head when they came in the back door at full downward angle. Obviously I could mount it to the ceiling or wall and the problem would be fixed, but I was hoping I could make it a little more subtle than that.
Overall I find this product great and far superior than the cheaper unbranded cameras, it has a great app and it is priced well.
However I’m disappointed to see that this does not come with an sd card , you have to buy this separately, and where Eufy have done great in the past to keep subscription free (there spotlight cam comes with 4gb and wireless base station 16gb), i see this as a stepping stone to charging for subscriptions with their own cloud based service (not sure of uk price, they advertise the dollar price on the app at $2.99 per device or $9.99 for up to 10).
Also with this camera needing an internal memory card, what’s stopping Billie the Burglar from spotting the camera and then fleeing with both the camera and video evidence of his great escape! Eufy need to allow the video footage to also be stored on the hub, out of sight from Billie the Burglar.
The only way around this without buying the cloud subscription would to buy a separate NAS hard drive as this camera is compatible with the RTSP protocol
I sincerely think there is a close match with Arlo and Eufy. Eufy offer value and a great app, but Arlo offer the greater design with free 5 day cloud storage on there 1080p models. I do own both and I’m thinking of selling the arlo ones on ebay. 5 days free storage isn’t enough for me when I go on holiday
This camera can be put absoultely anywhere , ceiling, wall (stand sold seperately) or free standing and setup is straightforward
I particularly like the tracking feature and it does work well
It has a built in alarm that can activate when motion is detected
This camera is compatible with alexa, I’d just like them to add one more feature, for Alexa to annouce when motion is detected (arlo cameras do this!). I will then update this review to 5 stars.
