Easy to set up and very useful app, great camera overall
Very good picture quality, good motion detection and the night visions good
Great camera and picture quality for the price. Easy to work from the app too
Great camera
Being able to rotate is why I would recommend this over others.
Fantastic indoor camera for monitoring indoors and outdoors.
I bought this as I didn’t want a camera which insisted on having to use its own cloud storage (this also comes with local storage), is affordable and that works with HomeKit.
This is a great camera. I like the “pan” feature, the fact it can be mounted upside down, the night vision is pretty good, and so far my experience has been pretty satisfactory. However there are a couple of issues I have.
While the app is good, there are a concerning number of indicators that this is a Chinese product (and the security concerns that accompany that) in the poor grammar and low quality UI elements littered in the app.
Another point to mention is that the geolocation setting (marked as Home if you are within a certain defined range of the camera) needs a lot of work. It isn’t always accurate, meaning I was away for almost a full day before I realised the camera was still “sleeping” as it thought I was home. This has happened a few times, so it’s easier to just turn it off and deal with false positives when I’m home.
The other issue is the minimum radius is still pretty big, covering the neighbouring 3-4 buildings on either side of my flat, as well as the road. So I could be a street away (in a shop, at a friend’s, even at work if I worked nearby) and the camera would consider me home, and disable itself.
I’ve got two of these now, so I clearly liked the first one enough to buy another. I’ve also got a TP Link Tapo camera, so that’s my comparison point.
Setup is a somewhat convoluted by easy to follow process of using the app, enabling location and scanning a QR code. It does mean that if Eufi ever stop supporting the app then your cameras will be useless.
The app itself is quite nice to use. Much better than the Tapo one. It lists all your cameras and you can get a live view from each of them.
A settings button lets you set things like motion detection (human, pet, everything) and sound detection (crying, everything). It also lets you record to an SD card and you can pick constant recording (not recommended by the app due to SD card wear) or only when motion is detected.
Motion detection itself is very, very jumpy. It detects anything spherical (e.g. a banister knob) or with two lines (e.g. a pair of trousers on the washing line or two ID badges on a hook) as human. Similar it detects a car wheel and tyre as a pet. So it tends to false alarm a lot. If you have something it mistakes then you just get a constant series of alerts. This is still better than the Tapo, which can’t distinguish objects so just alerts on any movement. Choosing human and pet does, for example, stop false alarms caused by shadows moving across a wall on sunny days.
There is an activity zone setup function. It doesn’t seem to affect the motion detection in any way, stuff outside the zone still gets alerted on.
Some other points, it’s got infrared lights for seeing in the dark. These glow obviously red at night and there’s a notice relay click as light level changes.
The pan/tilt motor makes enough noise to trigger the sound detection, and like all these small cameras doesn’t pan down as far as it pans up.
Don’t buy at full price – it’s reduced pretty much once per month, and the Amazon reduction is cheaper than the in-app loyalty reduction.
I’m impressed with this! I have three other indoor cameras and this has the best picture quality and adjustability of all of them. Installation is easy, simply connect to a power source, download the app then follow the instructions to connect Wi-Fi and hey presto, done. Mine is mounted on the ceilingthe app allows rotating the image 180 degrees. I bought a Sandisk endurance micro SD card (128GB) for in camera recording. Vision in darkness is excellent, as is normal daytime vision. Mine is set up as a security camera in a workshop and so the triggers to start recording are simple, but there are decent controls in the app to control field of view, triggers etc. having rotate and tilt is very useful and setting the camera to follow motion works well although if the subject is close to the camera it’s a bit jerky and the playback a bit whizzy. I have paid extra for cloud backup/storage simply to safeguard the in camera recordings from damage. The only criticism about this is that in the app, you can only subscribe month on month, whereas it’s a bit cheaper paid annually. To find out about that and to set it up, you have to log in on a computer not the appseems a bit daft and there’s nothing in the app to explain this. But other than that, I think this is a decent well priced easy to set up camera.

Easy to set-up & use
Great video quality
Excellent features
Brilliant. Easy set up. Great app. Various settings you can change.
Used to watch bins (catch fly tippers). Set up indoors but does detect human movement at night through window.
Easy to control remotely. I’d get more if needed. Audio pickup good.
Purchased to watch my reef tank and sump when away for the weekend. Being able to view the tank and make a call to have a friend drop by is great. Easy to set up and good quality.
Camera its ok,not perfect, when you zoom then quality get worse and its only 15 pfs in 2k and 1080p so its judder when camera is moving, also app is crushing many time on iphone 12 pro max
For the price, you won’t get better.
Picture quality is great, very clear, audio is very sensitive.
The only down side, if I’m being particular, is the wire isn’t the longest.
Great little CCTV camera. Bought 4. The app is good apart from having to set each camera to “away” individually instead of as a group. Picture quality is good but u cant zoom in much. 360 degree motion, and an SD slot with option for cloud storage (subscription). Great camera. And they havent glitched or frozen once after a few months of use.
Incorporated alongside other EUFY security products that I own, this pan and tilt camera performs well and the app is easy to configure and use providing you with access to your live view or recorded footage.
I needed a camera so I could watch over my dog while no one is home. And it does it perfectly.
Unfortunately I will have to return camera as it is not suitable for a table setting where I would need to have it. The camera does not pan down. It’s obviously excellent for a ceiling installation. Not fit for my purpose.
Perfect camera for keeping an eye on my puppy. Small and way to use.
This item was easy to set up and easy to use the app. It’s better than I expected. You can talk through it aswell. Does exactly what it says. You do need to get the memory card disc for it to record without it you can only watch stuff live.
Easy to set up and operate. Seamlessly fits into other compatible Eufy products. Motion detection is fairly accurate. Have to say once set up correctly, the pet recognition is pretty accurate. Picture is clear enough and talking and listening through the camera is not too laggy.
My only criticism is when you want to review some recorded footage, it takes a few minutes to load and be able to view the footage.
Overall for the price, this is an excellent camera and recommended.
This is my 2nd cam. The first cheaper one from unknown company worked for a while then could not access software. Bought Eufi as they seem reliable company that is unlikely to disappear. Although all functions work well only use this unit for peace of mind when away.
Great camera. Picture quality is very good and the motion tracking is pretty handy too
Nothing to dislike. This product is very reassuring when I am at home alone
Both camera and Software app are great, very impressed with both. I’ve both the Neos and the Eufy cameras, the picture is better on the Eufy than the Neos and together with the point and tilt facility is unbeatable. Just wish they could be used outdoors. Highly recommended
This is an excellent camera. Its a Which best buy and the best camera I have tried. Its movement is almost silent, its never given a false alarm and I can just leave it and forget about it. I am certainly going to order more.
Was looking for an indoor camara to keep an eye on a new kitten. With having an hive hub and thermostat I looked at those, but the price is way too much to take a punt. Watched a few YouTube videos of this camara and for 35 it’s definitely worth it, picture is very clear both light and dark, pan and tilt feature is good too. I will get another one for another room.
We bought this because we’d just bought a puppy, to see where the dog was going and and sniffing to wee etc. during the night. Night vision is excellent, can see across a large room.
Only two things are lacking on this camera, first is motion detection. It needs motion to wake up the camera (if not continuously recording) and then another to record. If the dog only walks past once and then not again in a certain time, it’s missed. The other is the ‘talk’ through feature, hit and miss whether that works at all.
We ended up using synology provided apps for this. Otherwise, for the price, excellent.
If you already own Eufy cameras with a homebase, be warned: this one doesn’t speak homebase. It does at least use the same app, but if you want to record you need a memory card, cloud subscription or rtsp compatible server. Also it has a separate schedule in the app for some reason. Still, one app and keep your eye on discounts
I am very impressed with this indoor camera. The 360 degree look around it really useful. Motion detection is very good. The night vision is also impressive. The only issue is that if you place the camera too close to a window you get a glare. It is a shame that you have a purchase an additional storage medium – the camera does not integrate with the HomeBase.
This is a good little camera with lots of features for not a lot of money, so far it’s working great and has lots of features and settings to be able to “fine tune” it for most situations and locations. Would definitely recommend.
Camera works very well and easy to use via phone. The tracking is very good and stable also the options to notify when a person / pet or general motion or all three is top notch. I also have the ring stick up cam and being honest i choose the eufy without hesitation. 🙂
Easy to set up and use with good quality images
Bought two of these for checking up our pets while away on holiday. They are perfect for the purpose. Image quality is great, including night vision. Motion detection can be set to pet mode which worked flawlessly. Panning works well. They can use local SD storage or optionally Eufy’s cloud service, which is a reasonably priced subscription and can be bought a month at a time. The app is well designed and easy to use. Overall a great unit for indoor use.
Easy to install, easy to set up, works a charm.
We have this mounted inside of our porch, up in the top right corner so it gets both a profile and a face front shot.
Object detection works well, we have it set to parcels and humans. We did however have a slight issue as one night we left a car seat in the porch which it kept thinking was a human sitting upright.
When someone is walking up the drive, it tracks them (through the window of the porch) and swivels as they approach either to leave a parcel or enter the porch. You can turn both the movement and the LED off, the angle of view is wide enough that you don’t need it.
Notifications come through very quickly to the app, with a video still. Click on the notification and it takes you into the app to view the video / listen to the audio.
Only downsides are:
– You need to buy a micro SD card to store video (about 10).
– If you turn in the Apple HomeKit integration, the object recognition is not as good (so some false triggers when cars pass, but you can map activation zones) and the HomeKit video quality is lower (which you are warned about).
Would highly recommend.
While the do offer a cloud storage option, which is cheaper than competitors, you don’t need it.
At less than 50, I’m buying another one for my Mum’s porch as well.
Excellent picture quality day and night. Very sensitive to pick up the slinkiest cat. Easy to set up and use. So much better than our old Victure pet cam.
Beautiful design. Excellent picture quality and night vision. Only drawback is that Seller keeps changing price on a weekly basis. Have ordered one as sample intending to order more if satisfactory but before first one received, price was increased by 30%+ only for the Seller to reduce again price to previous level within one week and after I was obliged to buy an alternative, as good product in Kasa
It really works! I’ve got an Arlo and 3 netatmos for comparison. The 2K picture is much sharper than 1080p, the infrared light is bright and clear, the motion tracking is good. I subscribed to the basic online storage package (about 28 per year) so that the clips are stored in the cloud, and you can’t see them on the website unless you have online storage. It’s also useful that it connects directly to your wifi, so you don’t need yet another base unit using yet another ethernet port on your router.
The only slight downside is the appearance – it’s a bit obvious, unlike the Netatmo Indoor camera which is Philippe Starck fashionable.
The price is very low too.
Edit: also, 2 way speech and alarm work too, great at this price point !
Work very well for my needs and the image quality is very good. Currently I mainly use mine as a baby monitor but have also used them as security cameras.
Great indoor camera. Used it for my pet initially as it has pet recognition.
Did the trick. Also, it has sound detection. Eufy has great products and hasn’t let me down.
Even though it records 2k you can only see it in 1080 on the app so not the best quality but for the price definitely worth it.
The app has been updated a lot lately so it has been getting better and better.
Extra features: Motion detection for humans, dog, sound detection for all sounds or just for crying, pan-tilt, and pet command.
So this would be a great baby monitor.
It could be a bit smaller. Silent movement.
I am using it inside vivarium to keep an eye on my bearded drago
Probably one of the best cameras and functions for an indoor camera. Perfect picture… Really easy to use and set up. I would definaty recommend
Great camera easy to set up and use. I have several eufy cameras and all very good quality and well made. Love the motion detection when it follows you around. Night vision is excellent as well. Quite a few features I haven’t tried out yet but based on previous cameras they should be very easy and customisable.
Used to monitor arrivals into my house. Installation could not have been easier. Sitting on a table close to my front entrance door.
Only took a few minutes to setup within the app, quick notification’s of movement, only a couple of seconds, about 5-10 seconds of pre-activation recording with good clear images.
Fairly easy to set up , very secure as far as I know and recommended !
Dislikes : Fish eye effect is not nice . Getting a live feed could be faster . ( PTZ ) Pan Tilt and Zoom is quite cumbersome and slow . It would be better to have full duplex audio during conversations (you got to keep touching and releasing the talk button during conversations ).
Likes : Audio from the speaker of the camera is quite clear and has a high frequency range . Distortion in the speaker is quite low .Please do not let the phone and the speaker be close together when testing the two way calling function of this camera . This camera is great for 2 way calling . It has a really clear audio .
App setup on my phone was easy. Linked to the camera no problem. It turns on and records when MOST people go past (it seems to miss the very odd one person here and there). We have it setup to video from inside our house porch so it records the postman etc
it sends me a notification that someone has been and a quick video of them. Works well. We put an SD card into it so it can store all of the recordings. Working out how to get the SD card in was a hassle (the camera lens has to turn itself upside down to reveal the slot – this took a number of goes, and other comments here in the reviews were helpful, but got it in eventually). Overall impressed.
I saw this for sale on the high street for about 50 and after an extensive demo and reading lots of reviews I was on the point of buying until I noticed it was back in stock at Amazon at a much lower price. This little camera is perfect for in home applications such as security or for those wishing to keep an eye on Fido or Fluffy. In the box is the camera, USB power cable (USB-A to USB-C), power brick mounting base plate and quick start guide. From box opening to having it working took less than 5 minutes. First install the inevitable app on your smartphone then plug in the power / insert an optional micro SD card and follow the prompts. You do need to set up an account with Eufy but it’s free. Mounting options are comprehensive and include a tripod socket.
Picture quality is excellent with various options to change settings for streaming / recording. Motion tracking works about immediately 90% of the time and 100% of the time after a few seconds. Motion tracking can of course be turned off and the pan / tilt used to reposition the camera if desired. Longevity and reliability I can’t personally comment upon but I know that the demo model in the high street store has been on and running 24/7 for at least 14 months and is still performing reliably. Just a note for Cat owners – ours is fascinated by the camera’s tracking motion so make sure that it is located well out of Fluffy’s reach
Well built, low-cost way of keeping an eye on our puppy
Even picks up people on the TV and alerts me a ‘Human’ has been detected.
Nice camera but silly me didn’t read the description where it says “plug in”. I expected it to have an internal battery since their product photos never show wires hanging out of it and display it hanging from the ceiling. The product description could be a bit cleared that it is wired.
Despite this the camera works really well and the SD card slot is a bonus over the ring cameras
Great value for the price even if you pay the full price, the I bought so far camera and the app too
I really love this camera and the hardware is great and just wish eufy would add more features such as bookmarking / zone guarding etc. Clearly just a firmware / software update but have Eufy moved their attention into new models?
A decent enough camera for money with one very annoying thing, you can’t set when to receive motion detection alters. You can either turn them on or off or snooze them for set time. You can’t say that I only need the alters from this time to that time on these days. This can get very annoying if you are planning to use this camera in places of high usage but only need alters say in night hours.
The camera was easy to set up and get working. There is a Subscription if you want to store images
Purchased the pan and tilt indoor camera a couple of weeks ago and had an issue with background noise. Rather than returning the item, i decided to contact Eufy direct for advice.
Within 24 hours I received a reply to my query, advice and support that was second to none. My camera now works without a hitch, producing great , clear, recordings every time.
Looking for an indoor camera with a company that you can trust? Look no further, I can certainly recommend their products and backups, should you need it. Well done, Eufy, keep it up.
Can’t go wrong for the money. Very ggod plus motion tracking. No HDR and only 15 fps motion capturw but still quality product if not the smartest looking!
These little cameras are superb. The picture quality is excellent, the night vision (black and white) is incredibly clear and sharp. The motion detection is exceptional (and the fly which was attracted to the infrared LED’s can vouch for that as the camera kept catching its fly-bys!). There are plenty of settings to fine tune your personal preferences. Motion detection sensitivity, audio detection, settings within settings for when you are home or away, specific area coverage…… the list goes on. I personally think they’re great. You receive free notifications when you are away and have almost instant access to the footage. Plus you can check in with all individual cameras you have and remotely move them to view your home no matter where you may be (Internet willing of course). My only issue…. being stalked in your own home when you get up at 3 in the morning to go to the bathroom. My kids issue….. me being able to shout at them for leaving a mess on the floor when I’m not home! The two way communication system can be a lot of fun. Yes, I would highly recommend this product.
Just make sure you buy a fast read/write micro SD card at the same time you get the camera. A 128gb can record events for days! You can find these for great prices here in Amazon.
Brought this to watch my dogs at work and it is awesome! Photo quality is awesome! Being able to move the view means I can see the whole room! I have been able to talk to my dog to calm his barking when I leave. The night vision is awesome and I can see the room clearly at night when dogs aren’t in there and lights are off! Finally, it looks really smart! Would defo buy again!!
I can’t express how impressed I am with this product! Bought it on Black Friday deal and it really works so well! I would recommend Eufy security products to anyone!
Great camera, but you can’t have it all based off one location setting, each camera is its own entity so cannot act as part of a singular security system.
The power cable is too short for if you are ceiling mounting and the plug socket is low down like most UK plugs.
I am amazed at the performance of this camera. It was very easy to set up and install. The security app. is a delight to use. I am so impressed with the quality of the recorded video I have ordered a Eufy cam2 Pro system to monitor my front and back gardens.
This is a great little camera with very good (2k) picture quality even in night vision. Panning and motion detection works well and the option of an SD card means one can (if desired) avoid cloud storage & annoying subscriptions. The crying detection in particular works well – I use it to monitor a puppy when out at the shops amongst other things. Only let downs (so far) are lack of a battery option (coming soon supposedly), leaving it tethered to a power socket, having to create an account (unavoidable to some extent I supose), inability to see below a certain angle close up if you have to place it on a surface rather than mount it and fairly fiddly controls within the Eufy app for all the different settings although they are intuitive if you play around with it. I haven’t tried to integrate it with HomeKit or any other system but sounds like you have to switch off certain Eufy options to avoid system clashes to use it and lose some of the AI functionality and the 2k goes to 1080p (currently, I believe). The details are on the Eufy website. A plus is they do seem to listen to user experience and try to build in improvements over time to a certain extent unless it requires upgrades which mean a new model to buy. Very pleased with it.
Really happy with this camera, took about 20 min to get canected to my phone ,but it’s really good
Updating my 1080p system to 2k is a big jump in picture quality. It is really good in daylight.
Unfortunately, I bought this to view the street and front door access and though during the day it’s perfect, at night when the IR light come on the reflection kills the view. Unable to use IR at night due to reflection from window ,Fortunatly
it works very well with street lights. Would be 5* all round if it did. Updated the review from 3* to 4*.
I was looking for a camera which can do local and cloud storage. This camera does everything needed.
It can connect into Apple Homekit (at time of review it takes the camera quality down to 1080p which isn’t bad but not as crisp as what the camera is capable of), it also connects to the Eufy online cloud however I have not opted for this service as the local storage and access to it from my phone is more than good enough.
The camera quality is crips even for night vision and the two way microphone is very clear. Personally, I use this to politely request the dog to get down from the sofa… I can confirm the quality is clear and audible!
Highly recommend.
We use this to monitor our cats when we’re not there. It doubles as an indoor security camera, though we have outdoor cctv.
The camera can be set to alert on movement, and to determine if it’s an animal or human.
It can also alert on baby crying, but we haven’t tested this.
You can hear and speak to the camera, but the cats just ignore it.
You can also trigger an alarm, if someone is in your property, but it’s not very loud.
Definitely worth it as an additional security device.
No subscription required, unless you want to record to the cloud.
Good quality image, and one of the cheapest HomeKit compatible cameras I found. Seems to have good build quality, with a range of mounting options. Quiet operation (although night vision coming on causes an audible ‘click’). Pan and tilt options not currently HomeKit compatible, but eufy app easy to use to achieve this.
I bought this camera to sit behind a windows looking outside my house.
With the ir night vision off the camera work great, motion detection is really sensitive and you cand choose a scheduled time to record which is great.
If I have to find a down side I would mention the impossibility to choose in a single schedul when to record continously and then switch to motion detection automatically.
But overall is great camera with fantastic image quality even during night and night vision off
The price is great value for what you ge
Easy to set up , plugged into USB port on a power socket and worked straight away once put a card into it (not supplied) one of my own.
And was discounted too , so a bargain really ,great to have audio as well.
I would recommend this product. We brought it for a family member who isn’t well and we can watch them while at work. Giving us all piece of mind. I love that you can talk through it. Picture quality is great really worth the money.
Just if you purchase remember to get the mini SD card.
Purchased two of these to monitor our empty property abroad. Set one up in the hallway (ceiling mounted) and another in the larger living area (on a shelf) Have to say am quietly impressed. WE already had Eufycam 2c’s and a wireless doorbell set-up for our home and these two pan and tilt cameras seamlessly integrated into the app dashboard. I’ live that they’re wired – since I cant be travelling over to the apartment to recharge batteries etc – and am pleased with the field of view, ability to track and monitor comings and goings (which there shouldnt be any of!) I like that I can monitor audio and speak should i need to. Oicture quality seems pretty good and initial testing of the tracking seems pretty good. I’m happy. the two cameras were super competitively priced and, so far, (over a year or so) we’ve had ZERO problems with any of the Eufy products we bought to replace our Arlo system. You DO need to put micro SD cards in the camera units (I’ve put 64GBs) in each – and that should be enough for us. We’ll use the cameras to check on the flat every once in a while and make sure there’s no issues / flooding etc. for the money I’ve happy. the units are small and compact and quite discrete. They’re working well and recording. Eufy products have worked for us. I like that material can be stored on SDHC/Micro cards and accessed through the app. The app itself is easy to use. Firmware upgrades are pretty regular as far as I can tell – and i never have a problem accessing the stored footage.
For the price this is an excellent product. It is excellent at detecting and alerting. I wanted it to view my dog whilst I’m out and it is great for that! Bit fiddly to set up but would definitely recommend it to keep an eye on sn elderly relative or pet!
