Super easy to set up and install,great picture and sound for the price.
Once mounted I found the camera would not adjust far enough down to exclude the pavement and the road…unlike the Arlo. The good news is the Arlo mount has the same camera thread size as the Eufy camera. Mounted on the existing Arlo and perfection. In my opinion the Eufy mount needs to be more adjustable.
Changed camera external alarm setting to off and set on schedule after digging around settings a little bit. And now I sit back and wait to see how effective it is.

Delivery was as expected. Easy to set up & reliable. Night vision good. Would be enhanced if range was further & stronger zoom. I use it for real time monitoring inside a shed. It does that job comfortably & battery life to date with lots of movements is about 14 days. Overall good value at 70 when it was on offer.
Good first camera at a good price point. Bought and installed it as a Christmas gift and they are very happy with it. Even in the optimal surveillance mode it only needed its first recharge after 2 months which isn’t too bad. Make sure you have a strong wifi connection otherwise it won’t work as it should – probably better to go for PoE cameras if you have a large house.
Fixed to view driveway. We have night/day lights and nearby lamppost so not experienced complete dark. Great live picture, alerts whenever motion detected in field of view, nice to see ‘human’ alerts’ on my iPhone app! We wanted security for parked new car and this works a treat. Wait for special deals. Can’t talk about recharge battery as it’s only a month old. Fixing simple. We already had (reliable) eufy smart plugs and bulbs so stayed with eufy – might buy further items eg eufy doorbell.
Still.. i will be returning the camera due to it’s unreliable motion detection. Unfortunately it happend more than once that motion was even right in front of the camera but yet it was not recorded. I know as it was often myself… or i saw surprisingly cars disappearing which were there before.. but no motion was detected of the car driving away etc. Sometimes i had hours of gaps of recording which is impossible.. especially during the week and usually lots of movement happening. Also i noticed delay in live view. In the app I was watching someone approaching my house… but my door bell was already ringing… but on the “live” view the person was not yet even at my door! Such delay.
Shame.. the motion detection is for me a total let down.. otherwise it would have been perfect to be honest.
The only issue I have is it being unable to be accessed whenever connection with eufy servers is dodgy.
The camera worked fine for a month. Before it stopped recording video completely. I contacted the manufacturer and eventually they replaced the camera. Hopefully the new should last.
Firstly, it’s a great little camera. Quality is very good and easy to physically install on your property.
The main issue was the technical installation. This product only connects to a 2.4ghz network, with mine being 5ghz, it meant I had to have a fiddle in my router settings and momentarily turn off my 5ghz whilst I installed the camera. It took a few attempts to connect to the network, but I got there eventually. All-in-all, not too bad; just that technical hiccup, hence the 4 stars.
Local storage of video means no fees to pay. The negative is battery life. Mine is down to 35% after 6 weeks.

I added an extra camera for the back of my property and have another at the front linked to my alarm system works well, just make sure you play with the various settings. If you do record for longer periods when motion is detected then the battery lasts about 2 weeks. No where near what advertised and it’s a pain to get them down to plug in every couple of weeks. So I just found another way where I attach a battery pack alfor a few hours and job done. Great for what it is.
Picture quality is fantastic. Mounting and Setup is easy. No ongoing storage costs. Great value, even at full price but bought in sale, so even better. Great piece of kit.
Two units purchased, both easily set up and installed. Day light mage quality is good, night views in black and white are ok. Only just set up so soon to know about battery life. No way to restrict view other than changing camera angles, which worked OK in my case.
It’s a tricky one as it’s good but it is over sensitive in respect of detection. If you try to tweak it, it’ll go from not detecting to over detecting, it’s hard to get a balance and I’d strongly recommend using the solar charger with it or your battery dies very quickly.
I have 2 of these and 2 solar panels as well as the doorbell, to be fair they are pretty good but could be betterlots of room for improvement. Though give others a run for their money.
Camera is clear and the attachment which comes with the camera allows it to be adjusted. It isn’t 360 degrees adjustable but it’s sufficient. We own 3 standalone 2k security cameras by Eufy and do not have a Homebase. This works equally as well as all the other 2k Cameras we have. If you haven’t used Eufy products before, the app is straightforward and so far we haven’t had an issue. This is the 4th item we have bought by this company. The downside is the battery life is not as it claims to be. I would say you have to charge it once a month. Everything else we own by Eufy is plugged in.
This is an easy product to set up although I made the mistake of not reading the instructions fully; you cannot connect this to a 5ghz router. Fortunately I have an extender (to the router) which runs on 2.4 ghz so all was ok. My initial concern was that the camera could easily be disabled (removed from the wall) but I have found that it films the act so you would still have pictures of the perpetrator. It covers a wide area and the pictures are sharp. It is early days but so far I am impressed. It comes with a 120 day battery life so we will see how accurate it is and how it stands up to the winter weather. I will update my review if anything changes.
Update: initial connectivity issues were resolved by relocating the unit. All was ok for 3 days. Then we are away from home and an Amazon delivery didn’t create a notification. Checked the camera and it is off line. Rather defeats the object doesn’t it? I will reconnect it on my return and check again.
Update: 2 weeks and the connectivity seems stable now. No outages so I have restored one star. I will continue to monitor. One point to note was the battery plummeted in the first few days but that too seems to have stabilised.
I have a base with a couple of eufy cameras, the base has lost connection and won’t reconnect so I wanted to get a camera to cover the back of the house, I have it connected to a solar panel so I dont have to worry about charging it up. It uses the same app as the other eufy cameras, it connected straight away and I am happy with the camera

Easy to set up, Wi-Fi connection has been stable so far and good app. Great to keep an eye on things when away. Reconnected automatically to Wi-Fi during power cut. Amazing battery life. I will be buying another one when on sale.
I’m very pleased with this camera. There are no extra fees to pay, the recordings go straight to my phone so I can delete or save them. It would not be difficult if someone wanted to steal it, but the culprit would have been recorded. Nothing is absolutely secure, but this does the job.

Bought this in June and never had to charge it once so far! battery lasts ages! I had to experiment with the motion detection and sensitivity in the app for a bit to get it just right but it’s fantastic and is triggered when anyone comes through the gate.
Picture quality is fantastic and the night vision is equally as impressive! I’ve tried a few different cameras but this one is hands down the best on the market. Price is also excellent for the quality of the product. There are no subscription fees which is a bonus!

My third security camera and this one is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of image quality, motion detection, angle of view, connectivity and battery life.
The picture quality is the best I’ve seen so well worth getting and the angle is great on it. No wires and an easy install which is well worth the need to have to charge it every now and then which takes a full day to properly charge it.

Like you, I knew I wanted something to protect my home but had no knowledge of what was out there. I read the reviews and decided that these were the cameras for me.
My cameras (one and the front at the other at the rear of my property) have been in situ for a few weeks now. I wanted to give them time to bed in before I reviewed them. I’ve just given one it’s first re-charge and so now feels like a good time to write this.
We have the cameras overlooking the front and back doors. Both offer excellent picture quality in both day and night times. The AI is good at differentiating between human beings and everything else it may see.
I haven’t reminded myself of the purported time a battery charge should last. But, in high traffic areas (and I have been tinkering with the recording settings through the time they’ve been up) the first to need a charge has been up around 6 weeks. With battery saving settings I’m sure this would improve.
One thing of note here. The cameras can be watched live but that will drain the battery. They are intended to be left to their own devices and mainly accessed when they alert you to a clip.
Setting trigger zones for the cameras is easy through the app. In daylight it seems to capture 99% of the humans that pass in to the zone. Once the sun goes down, I am a little less convinced they do a good job. Let me explain why:
I live in a good area. But it is known that car doors are checked overnight to see if anyone has left them unlocked and available to the local thieves to go through the contents. In the time the camera has been up, and looking at the cars, the camera hasn’t triggered once.
If you remember, I am no expert installer. I am more than willing to accept that the lack of activity captured overnight could well be due to me positioning incorrectly and/or the thieves in the area spotting I have a camera and it acting as a deterrent.
Something that I find disappointing is their WIFI performance. One is right next to my router and the other is a way away. My WIFI is busy, but I have no issues with performance with all other devices. The camera far away from the router does a fair job in clinging on to the signal. It’s the one right outside the window by the router. It seems to struggle to make a speedy connection. Odd as they are around 3 ft apart (through the outside wall).
Overall, these cameras impress me. I’d still suggest having a professional installation if you believe it needed. But, as a DIY option for someone like me, with no prior CCTV skills this seems like a good option that will let you know what it going on in the camera’s sights.

Diese System kann ich nur empfehlen, Installation ist super einfach die Kamera von der Klingel und auch die anderen Kameras haben eine TOP Qualitt der Aufnahmen.
Auch der Kundendienst da ich eine Frage hatte wurde am nchsten Tag sehr zufriedenstellend beantwortet. TOP sehr zu empfehlen.
Die Kamera ist super einfach montiert und auch einzurichten. Die App ist auch klasse und man kann nich einige Kamera mehr hinzufgen. Ich findes es ein tolles Preis Leistung gute Kameraberwachung. Die Akku hlt auch sehr lange. Je nach Aufnahmeeinstellung hlt sie echt lange. Die Nachtsicht Bilder sind auch gestochen schaft. Und der Ton ist auch gut.

Da die Solo Version merklich gnstiger ist, als die EufyCam 2 Pro dachte ich mir, dass ich hier etwas sparen knnte, zumal auf den ersten Blick die Merkmale beider Kameras sehr hnlich erscheinen. Die Bildqualitt der Solo kann mit der 2 Pro mithalten, das Mikro ebenfalls und auch der Formfaktor ist identisch. In der Produktbeschreibung steht, dass die Solo ebenso ber einen Diebstahlschutz (wenn an ihr geruckelt wird, acht sie Krach) verfgt, wie die 2 Pro. In den Einstellungen der Kamera (ber die Homebase) ist diese Funktion jedoch nicht auffindbar.
Beworben wird sie mit einer Akkulaufzeit von 4 Monaten. Bei mir luft sie mit den maximalen Stromsparfunktionen und muss nach 3 Monaten Laufzeit erstmals geladen werden.
Fazit: Wer die EufyCam 2 Pro kennt und gewohnt ist, wir mit der Solo nur bedingt zufrieden sein. Die Akkulaufzeit ist deutlich krzer (was sie auch in der Produktbeschreibung ausweist) und der Diebstahlschutz ist beim Betrieb an einer HomeBase nicht verfgbar.
The picture from the camera is excellent, monitoring my front drive. It is slightly let down by the detection – it doesn’t always detect someone walking on the drive to my door (fails probably about 1 in 10 times), despite increasing the sensitivity to maximum.

Ich habe die Kamera nach der Empfehlung einer befreundeten Familie, die schon ein System von Eufy nutzt, gekauft. Der erste Eindruck war sehr gut, die Installation einfach. Nach der Aufladung luft die Kamera schon ein Monat, wobei sich der Zustand der Balken der Batterie (in App sichtbar) noch nicht verndert hat. Gute Qualitt, gutes Bild, vielseitig einsetzbar – wir sind zufrieden!

E40 was very easy to install and set up. The instructions on the app were good to follow. Detection is very accurate with out false alarms.
No monthly storage charge and no need for separate control unit inside. Highly recommend.

After using an Amazon Blink for the last 18 months (which I’m not that impressed with) I went for the smaller Eufy (1080p) which was good and then bought this 2k version. Great picture quality, great adaptability. A few glitches, mainly WiFi connectivity (not close to the router), but so far so good.
Nice and Simple to set up and install. The picture quality is very good. Battery life is so far so good. But overall very please I chose this.

Diese Kameras sind gut fr eine regulre Heimberwachung, fr groe Firmen oder Objekte sind diese hchstwahrscheinlich nicht geeignet.
Die Bildqualitt passt fr den Preis, die Reichweite ist auch ok (je nach Strke des Wlan Signals) Die Batteridauer ist krzer als beworben (bei mir ca 40-50 Tage bei relativ hufiger Aufnahme)
Ein Punkt der jedoch wirklich ein Kritikpunkt ist, ist dass die Bewegungserkennung ab und an spinnt und deswegen Bewegungen einfach nicht erkennt und aufnimmt. Das ist fr eine lckenlose berwachung kontraproduktiv! (Dieses Probleme tritt bei mir aber nur mit schwachen Akku ca. 25% auf)
Preis Leistungstechnisch sind dieses Kameras aber top und zu empfehlen!
An admirable security camera requiring only 2 screws to fit it to a wall. No wires are required. Reckon that the rechargeable battery will need to be charged every 4 – 5 weeks. Works through a mobile phone app. It was fairly easy to set up and always detects any activity which can be viewed on a smart phone.

Ich bin bisher sehr zufrieden, tolles Bild guter Ton. Auch die Bewegungserkennung klappt wunderbar! Zu der Akkulaufzeit kann ich nicht viel sagen, aber ich hab jetzt jeden Tag sehr viel rumgespielt und noch ist der Akku voll !
Wir haben uns bewusst fr das neue Model entschieden weil wir keine extra Homebase im Haus unterbringen wollten.
Wir haben sie hier fr 95 im Angebot gekauft und kaufen auch noch eine weitere !

Deze eufy camera doet het geweldig. Het installeren is een fluitje van een cent. Heel gemakkelijk. De meegeleverde accessoires zijn prima. Het apparaat hangt inmiddels buiten tot onze grote tevredenheid. Over eufy kan ik kort zijn. Ze hebben geweldig en eenvoudig materiaal. Amazon levert als geen ander. In plaats van op zaterdag werd deze camera op vrijdag geleverd. Heel mooi en goed.

You get Eufy (Anker) quality with no need to buy a base unit or other components.
It connects back to an app – only issue as with most IFTTT devices is it operates on 2.4Ghz WiFi where as most modern phones use 5Ghz.
To force your phone to 2.4Ghz move as far away from your router as the camera can only setup once your phone is on that frequency.
Apart from that it’s super simple and a great product. Especially love the built-in activity zone feature and the loudness of alarm.
Highly recommend this camera if you need a one-off and not a whole system.
Lastly please not all footage is stored on the camera and it’s includes 8Gb of storage

Microphone picks up well. Speaker works clearly. Alarm is frightening (in a good way). The stand and camera withstood the recent storms (we got the worst of it) and kept working perfectly. App is simple to use and our live connectivity is strong, only wish it had a PC version to look at and manage settings. The battery depletes quicker than advertised, but we do live on a busy street and get about a week and a half before it needs charging for a few hours.

Calidad de vdeo muy buena tanto diurna como nocturna. Deteccin de movimiento tambin buensima. Tenemos un perro labrador y no lo detecta, pero en cuanto pasamos cualquier persona enseguida nos avisa. Si que salta con la ropa del tendedero si hace aire y en ese caso hay que bajar la sensibilidad de esa rea, pero es normal porque la ropa en movimiento por el aire tiene forma humana. Tambin nos saltaba con un toldo, pero al seleccionar el area de deteccin evitando la zona del toldo, el problema se acab. De momento nos funciona todo genial. Poder grabar las imgenes en el mvil y activa la alarma son puntos a favor. Cuidado porque el altavoz hay que subirle el volumen desde la aplicacin y tanto ese volumen como la capacidad de deteccin bajan mucho hasta que se retiran los plsticos protectores.

Easy to install. Mine was on a wall facing south so I added a short length of upside down gutter to keep the sun off the lens especially in winter when the sun is low. Installed mid-September and battery still half full in mid November.
Easy to set up with a iPad including sensitivity etc.. Pictures are good but not excellent. Seems not to pick up when approached directly, it needs some cross movement I.e picks up a diagonal approach.
The device was really simple to setup and to get going. Once I charged it up I put it up in a few minutes and it was ready to go. It shows in the app the Wi-Fi signal test to see if your position is going to be ok. Mine was quite far away from the router but still had a decent signal.
Set up motion detection in the app and created the area I wanted to be alerted. The motion detection works as advertised and will only record from the moment it picks up a detection. If you need to see what happened before the incident then these systems are not suited for that obviously battery limits it. Sometimes you might catch the last few seconds of someone moving. Maybe extending the motion detection zone to just have full motion so you might pick the event up earlier.
On my nvr you can set it 5- 10 – 30 second or more before event as it’s recording all the time.
I’ve been impressed with the nightvision but decided on not using it as we have a street light that the camera picks up the light really well plus motion lights on the front of house
The eufy app is easy to use and notifications come through really quick with option to stream event or download the event.
The camera apparently with AI on the chip does seem to learn the area and the motion setting like human. At first it wasn’t detecting people going to the car from behind the car but now it seems to pick them up no problem half a person or head 🙂
Quality of video at night without nightvision and with small motion lights you can see the person clear enough to see who they might be. I can’t say about nightvision as I haven’t used it enough to give honest opinion.
Now for battery and this is where you would obviously need to think about what your usage for this camera will be. I have this set up on the front and for only human motion detection at sensitivity level 5 out of 7 on the driveway which covers two drive (next door).
I’m averaging about 20 to 30 detections a day at the moment some days might be less and it’s using just under 3% a day or slightly less of the battery which is giving me about 35 days until around 10% then I charge it. This is on the optimal surveillance where video clip can be up to 60 seconds. The other you can limit it to 20 seconds. You also have option to customise length of video and detection to whatever you want but will drain battery faster. I personally haven’t tried this yet.
I purchased the small Eufy solar panel on offer just after I got the camera thinking at the time I might move the camera eventually to garden where you could just put it on and have the panel slow charging through the winter as I honestly not sure the panel would look good at all on the front of house or even where to place it.
I’m going to keep it on the front as I really haven’t got a problem with it.
It works great and has a great video for what it says it is. Does it match my hikvision cams for video quality? No because they are wired and are 8mp and of course that’s a completely different setup.
I purchased this knowing it might have limitations and have come away really happy with the purchase.
The storage is 8gb which is about 7.3 on device. It’s been running non stop and 3 months used 5.9gb of the storage which for 20-30 detections daily is pretty impressive
If you’re reading this a eufy solar panel on the front of the house might be ideal for you to plug into the back of the camera and you never have to charge it and you don’t have to think about position and how easy to take down and recharge the battery. (You can get a long usb cable and a portable battery pack and charge it that way outside.)
You might only get the occasional coming and going at the front or side of house which this again would be ideal for.
You may want to just have it in the garden and again I think that would be longer battery life especially with the panel.
It’s all down to what your needs are and what you expect.
For me it’s covering the blind spot well and gives me better security for it. Obviously I’d like better battery life but as this was a first test and purchase of a battery camera Im happy with the camera and I’ll see how it copes with winter and if that changes battery life.
I hope something in this review helps give a better understanding of the camera.

Camera has had a few updates since release and seems to have improved various things especially battery life.
Battery is currently at 8% and since last full charge been on for 39 days with 963 recordings/events
Since I’ve had it on the front I’ve had two instances where someone has tried the car doors and the camera never picked them up I had to rely on my hikvision cameras higher up which is a shame as this camera was perfectly positioned to catch their faces clearly.

Qualitativ Vergleichbare Systeme kosten schnell 300 Euro und sind von der App teilweise schlechter

Quick to install after a full charge, rechargeable so no wires, built in storage (the way I’ve set recordings up I estimate well over a months images) so no need to pay for ongoing cloud storage. Need a decent Wi-fi connection but I don’t consider mine great but I have good signal. I have other similar so am expecting no issues.
Picture quality excellent and battery seems to last as advertised
Excellent camera with superb night vision. Picture quality is brilliant. Best thing about it is no monthly storage fees as camera had it’s own in built memory. Highly recommend
Dislikes. Having a 3 second pre trigger record function would be a bileenefit. The video quality at 2K should be clearer quite blur y beyond 10 ft – not sure if this a result of the heavy compression to reduce file size or if it can be fixed by firmware upgrade. Either way an option to select larger file sizes would be a good idea
Motion Detection has good range but doesn’t detect every single time you walk within its range. But i think most cameras of this type are the same? Think i mounted mine a bit too high probably. Overall though very pleased.
Hab die Kamera ausprobiert, da sie erschwinglich und kein Abo-Dienst notwendig ist. Bisher erfllt Sie die Anforderungen und funktioniert sowohl im Hellen als auch im Dunkeln. Das Bild ist sehr gut und die Einrichtung war auch ein Kinderspiel. Einziges Manko, es gibt keinen Zeitplan um die Kamera zu deaktivieren und automatisch zu aktivieren. Es gibt im Zeitplan lediglich die Unterscheidung zwischen zuhause und abwesend.
Alles eine Einstellungssache aber mit manuellem Aufwand. Alles in allem nach zwei Wochen eine sehr gute Kamera und es wird noch eine weitere folgen.
