Have not played the game yet. I mainly bought the ships as static models. Amazing quality for both the imperial and rebellion ships.

Bought it for a close friend of mine who loves star wars, he loves it.
I love using these for large groups of Tie Fighters and Intercepters. They rain so much fire in the field if battle and would absolutely recommend one for every fleet stockup.
I was excited to see not just common characters but even some from deeper within lore. The units themselves are a little shallow to use, but imagining boba-fett clashing a whole fleet of X-Wings was pretty awesome.
Wish these weren’t so expensive but definitely a good ship for your flee

The physical components in this expansion are the usual top quality from FFG. It provides expanded play possibilities for Armada. Just a bit pricey for what you get IMO.
Als Fan der ersten Stunde – ja, ich bin alt – habe ich stets bemngelt, dass es sehr lange Zeit keine korrekten Modelle der Executor gab. Nun bin ich ja kein Gamer und nutze die Schiffe ausschlielich zum Dioramenbau bzw Zimmerdekoration. Und was soll ich anderes sagen, als dass dieses Asmodee-Modell eines Supersternzerstrers einfach phnomenal ist! Mit einer Lnge von ca 62cm ist sie in ihrer Detailgenauigkeit wirklich hammermig gut geworden. Streng genommen msste sie im Vergleich zu den anderen Grokampfschiffen NOCH grer sein, aber vermutlich waren bei einer Original-Kiellnge von 19.000 Metern gewisse mastbliche Grenzen gesetzt. Einzig verwunderlich fand ich, dass die Antriebsdsen nicht rot, sondern wie bei den “normalen” Zerstrern und Kreuzern des Imperiums blau lackiert sind. Aber es ist schon ein echt tolles Schiff und ein absoluter Eye Catcher.

FFG/AMG ships are the BEST for collectors that just want a detailed desk ornament. This is no exception. Currently have it set up in a Rogue One-esque setup with a Neb B and CR90 with some X-Wing Squadrons.
For table-top gamers, this ship is the Swiss Army Knife of the Rebel Alliance. Do yourself a solid and get one!

The product arrived in good condition and was well packaged, exactly as described. With the Home One expansion, my basic armada game is brought up to actual gameplay standards. The model is well detailed and could also simply be a display piece for fans.
Even if you DON’T play the game, this is a great addition to any starship model collection. The model is cleanly designed and has a bit of heft to it, making it quite durable. The only issue I have with it is the plastic stands that come with the ship. They aren’t the most sturdy, being plastic from China of course. Still, a great model that shines as a centerpiece of any model collection.
I don’t think it is worth the Amazon price, but I had to have it to add to my collection. When I opened the shopping box, immediately blown away. I felt like the whole empire just entered the house. I have almost all the rest of the armada figures and I’ve wanted this for years, finally sent it. But it’s gorgeous and I don’t even know if I want to open it!!! If you’re willing to pay for it at this price, you will not be disappointed. It’ll last forever and i don’t think any other figure will beat this detail and size perfection. Of course the armada figures are all a messed up scale, but I think it’s okay.
I made the mistake thinking this was the Recusant-Class but it is not. If I didn’t already order the invisible hand I would have kept these for my fleet.
The product design & quality of the miniature & the game resources is excellent, as you would expect from Fantasy Flight, and the upgrade cards genuinely add extra depth to an already brilliant core game.
But if you set all of that aside, there’s one inescapable fact: if you’re a Star Wars fan, you can’t help but feel a spark of joy every time you look at the model. To quote Director Orson Krennic from Rogue One: “Oh, it’s beautiful.”
If you are considering this ship you must be really into armada. This is really a crown jewel for your imperial fleet. It simply dwarves all other armada ships and has a presence of its own. The engines are not the color they are in the Original Trilogy but that is an easy fix with some model paining. Overall this is a great ship for a game of armada or if you simply want the model.
I have never had interest in competitive Armada, this is module gives you such a great sense of context for all of your fleet battles, actual reasons for fleet engagements. We just played with the Objectives listed on the map (normally you’d also have +3 objectives for each fleet) and the variety of mission was incredible. Each was very different. On top of that, having the context of the sector map with resources made choosing your site important. The Commander XP is very forgiving, with the losing side often gaining 2XP while the Winner gained 1XP. This kept things balanced and it didn’t feel like either side could run away with the campaign. After playing a few rounds at 250 points, you get the chance to engage in a massive battle. The smaller 250pt battles made it easy to play a match in a couple hour, while the epic battles too far longer.
These hammerheads are such beautifully painted models, even if you don’t play this game they make for Lovey displays for any nerds room. Although the pegs that plug into the base are fragile and can easily break. I dropped one, base and all, and the ship snapped right out of its peg. Luckily I don’t really ever take the ships off their bases so I just super glued it back to it’s broken leg, that was still inside it’s base setting, and hopefully can get it out one day.
Also, if you want to place Imperial Star Destroyers next to it, the Star Wars Armada version is obviously way too big. The Executor is about 10x larger than a Star Destroyer. So, if you want something that’s closer to scale, the 3.75″ Star Wars Titanium Imperial Star Destroyer works very well (sample in my pic). It would probably be even more accurate if you can find something that’s closer to 2.5″ in length. But for what I have, it works for me.
This thing is massive, its well sculpted and with it on sale it was cheaper then MSRP. Arrived on time and was packaged very well!
Love this. adds a new campaign and new mechanics to use in your game. Love the new upgrade and pilot cards it comes with and comes with new objective cards. A def buy if you are looking to expand your armada game

The Star Wars Armada core set comes with a set of these same dice, so purchasing this set is not necessary for playing. What’s good about getting another set of dice for Armada? There are quite a few instances, where you’ll need four dice of the same color for rolls. The core set only has three colors of each dice, insuring you’ll have to re-roll a dice for the forth dice. It’s more for the convenience than a necessity and the game flows better.
Update; If you only get one core set, this is still well worth it, as well as a second maneuvering tool. The players will have a set of dice with four colors of each, with two spare dice of each color, and each player will have a maneuvering tool or you can shorten the second one for close quarters play. If you plan on getting a second core set, like I did, a third set of dice will come in handy to add to the two core set dice and the third maneuvering tool can be shortened and shared for close quarters.
